BC Partners Credit Announces Initial Investment in LIV Golf, Marking the Next Step Toward a Financially Strong, Team-Focused Golf League

NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BC Partners Credit, the credit arm of BC Partners, today announced an initial committed investment in LIV Golf by funds advised on its platform. This investment is the first part of a targeted $300 million in cumulative financing to help LIV Golf emerge from its restructuring as a fiscally strong, sustainable, team-focused golf league that complements the existing professional tours and contributes to the long-term potential of the sport. The next phase of LIV Golf, or LIV Golf 2.0, will feature players participating as equity owners of both the League and the teams—providing players with a direct stake in the League's success.

"Our goal is to facilitate LIV Golf's emergence from the restructuring process on sound financial footing and with renewed momentum heading into the 2027 season," said Ted Goldthorpe, Partner and Head of BC Partners Credit. "Just as importantly, we want the players who make this league what it is to share in what they help build. Giving players real and actionable ownership in the League and the teams is a unique opportunity in professional golf, and it aligns everyone around the long-term success of the product for the game and for the fans."

A Complementary Role in the Global Game

BC Partners Credit believes LIV Golf's team-based format offers a distinct and valuable experience that can complement and strengthen the broader golf ecosystem. BC Partners Credit looks forward to working constructively with tours and golf organizations around the world to build the game and create new opportunities for players and fans.

Building from the Ground Up

A central part of the vision for the next phase of LIV Golf is a commitment to grassroots efforts alongside nations, cities, and golf's governing bodies. As part of this next phase, LIV Golf will aim to build on the League's foundation and expand local programs that introduce new players to the game, support communities, and create pathways for the next generation of golfers and fans.

Players as Owners

A key feature of the next phase of LIV Golf is player ownership. Players will be equity owners of the League and the teams, providing them with a meaningful stake in the League's growth and a direct voice in building its future. BC Partners Credit believes this unique structure will attract and retain top talent, strengthen team identity, and align the long-term interests of players, owners, and fans.

A Welcome to Players

BC Partners Credit welcomes current and prospective LIV Golf players who share the vision for the League's next chapter. Whether joining or continuing with LIV Golf, players who choose to be part of LIV Golf 2.0 will have the opportunity to participate not just as competitors, but as owners and partners with a meaningful stake in building a stronger, more sustainable team-focused golf league.

"We are excited about what this next phase can mean for the players who compete in the League," said Mr. Goldthorpe. "We invite those who want to help build a strong, sustainable, team golf league to join us."

The financing by funds advised on the BC Partners Credit platform is subject to Bankruptcy Court approval and customary conditions.

Why Rosen Law: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

To join the Honeywell Aerospace class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/honeywell-aerospace-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action.

No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor's ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff.

SeAH Besteel Mass-Produces Advanced Special Steel to Power Next-Gen Robotics
Image File
Original HTML

Key Highlights:

- SeAH Besteel has demonstrated its advanced metallurgical capabilities by developing a special steel for robot reducers, utilizing ultra-clean refining and thermal deformation control to bring gear backlash close to zero.

- Engineered for absolute durability, the new material simultaneously maximizes fatigue life and secures exacting dimensional precision, effectively minimizing shape deformation under varying temperatures and severe physical impacts.

- This milestone establishes sovereign capacity in core robotic materials through proprietary technology, breaking historical reliance on highly concentrated foreign supply chains to aggressively drive global competitiveness.

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SeAH Besteel has successfully developed and commercialized a special steel material for the reducers that serve as critical components driving robotic movement. With this breakthrough, the company positions itself at the forefront of the robotics revolution, securing a powerful competitive edge in the booming materials market for advanced robotics.

Serving as the mechanical joints of a robot, reducers are the critical link that tames high-speed motors, allowing robotic limbs to operate with absolute precision and controlled force. The key to flawless robotic operation lies in minimizing the microscopic gaps between interlocking gears. As this backlash approaches zero, robots can execute complex, error-free movements with unprecedented accuracy.

The advanced special steel is specifically tailored for the flexspline, a vital component responsible for transmitting motor power within the reducer. Through a proprietary alloy design, SeAH Besteel has fundamentally solved the challenge of microscopic shape deformation caused by thermal stress during heat treatment. Since robotic components undergo rigorous precision machining, the resilient material minimizes deformation from varying temperatures and impacts, ultimately ensuring optimal machinability and exacting dimensional precision.

Furthermore, the grueling nature of continuous robotic movement demands materials with exceptional fatigue life. Rising to this challenge, SeAH Besteel integrated a highly advanced vacuum degassing system into its refining process to completely eradicate microscopic impurities. By nearly eliminating the non-metallic inclusions responsible for micro-cracks, the company has forged an ultra-clean steel. This technological achievement pushes mechanical reliability to the maximum possible level.

The material quickly transitioned into full-scale mass production following an initial supply in February to SPG, a prominent Korean precision reducer manufacturer. It continues to expand its footprint and market share across diverse industrial applications.

Capitalizing on the mass production of its newly developed flexspline material, SeAH Besteel is accelerating the expansion of its advanced material portfolio. Targeting the next frontier in automation, the company plans to develop a broader range of special steel grades tailored for humanoid robots.

"Achieving mass production entirely through our own proprietary technology marks a major milestone in the robot reducer materials market, a sector historically reliant on a highly concentrated handful of foreign suppliers," said a representative of SeAH Besteel. "Establishing sovereign capacity in these core materials is critical for the sustainable growth of the robotics ecosystem. We will continue to lead the charge in developing proprietary, high-quality special steels, empowering the industry to secure a commanding competitive edge on the global stage."

MORE THAN 500 K-12 STUDENTS LEARN SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES OF THE MAKING OF THE MADE-IN-MICHIGAN OFFICIAL COURT OF THE2027 MEN'S FINAL FOUR®

IRON RIVER, Mich., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Connor Sports® today hosted a sustainable forestry education event here in partnership with the Forest Park (MI) School District, Iron Mountain (MI) School and West Iron (MI) Schools and local industry partners to begin the production process for the Official Court that will manufactured at Connor Sports' manufacturing mill in Crystal Falls (MI) for the 2027 NCAA® Men's Final Four®.

The Natural Resources Educational Day at the Cooks Run forest in Iron River was focused on providing a fun and educational way to learn about responsible forestry for more than 500 Forest Park, Iron Mountain and West Iron K-12 students as part of the process of sustainably harvesting the timber for the 2027 Final Four court.

Students visited a series of interactive field stations staffed by Connor Sports and 20 local industry partners including learning about strategic timber selection as certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and hand-cutting methods.

A highlight of today's activities was the felling of a forest tree by certified SAWW Level 1 trainer Brock VanOss of Crystal Falls, MI-based VanOss Forestry to be used in the manufacture of the Official Court for the 2027 NCAA Men's Final Four. Through observation, students learned through proper techniques and safety methods of tree felling and chainsaw operation.

"Sustainability has always been a priority for Connor Sports in our position as the industry leader in hardwood basketball court manufacturing, and today's event in partnership with our valued Upper Peninsula timber industry partners provided a classroom in the woods for students from the Forest Park (MI) and West Iron (MI) school Districts," said Benjamin Bachman, CEO Gerflor North America/Connor Sports. "We thank all those who developed such as tremendous education program to show local students first-hand the process of responsible forestry and how those forest to floor methods and products will be used for the Made in Michigan Official Court of the 2027 Men's Final Four in Detroit."

Educational stations included: hand cutting and tree selection; use of heavy equipment; impact of sustainable forestry on wildlife; cutting of logs into lumber; production of the court including a court panel similar to those to be used for the Final Four court, and the "landing" area where the cut logs are staged and prepared for transport to the sawmill.

EDMONTON, AB, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Aurora Cannabis Inc. ("Aurora" or the "Company") (TSX: ACB) (NASDAQ: ACB), the Canadian-based leading global medical cannabis company, responded today to a press release issued by Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. ("Curaleaf") regarding its stated intention to file a Notice of Variation and Change to revise its hostile take-over bid (the "Hostile Bid") for all of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company (the "Aurora Shares") to offer revised implied consideration of US$5.00 per Share, consisting of 0.4013 subordinate voting shares of Curaleaf plus US$1.00 in cash per Aurora Share.

Miguel Martin, Executive Chairman and CEO of Aurora stated, "Today's announcement by Curaleaf is not a formal revised bid, and Aurora has not yet received the materials required to conduct a full and proper evaluation. While the announcement suggests an intention to address concerns Aurora identified with Curaleaf's initial Hostile Bid, the Special Committee of independent directors will review any formal revised offer once received with the same rigorous, independent and disciplined process applied previously. The Committee's focus remains on determining what is in the best interests of Aurora and Aurora shareholders, and the Board will communicate its recommendation once that review is complete."

The Company expects to provide a more comprehensive response to Aurora shareholders in a timely manner once the Special Committee has completed its review and the Board has made its recommendation with respect to the revised hostile bid.

Take No Action

Aurora shareholders are advised to take NO action on the Hostile Bid as previously recommended on September 2, 2026 and wait for further communication from the Board of Directors . Aurora shareholders will have until at least December 4, 2026 to consider their options, being the revised expiry date of Curaleaf's offer.

The Board has formed a special committee of independent directors (the "Special Committee"). The Special Committee will consider the Offer with its advisors before making a recommendation to the Board. Aurora shareholders will be notified of the Board's formal recommendation through a news release and Directors' Circular within 15 days, in accordance with applicable securities laws.

Aurora's Application to the Alberta Securities Commission Delivers Results

Curaleaf's actions also demonstrate that Aurora's application to the Alberta Securities Commission delivered results for Aurora Shareholders. In particular, Aurora's application identified several deficiencies in Curaleaf's circular that were contrary to the takeover bid rules and deprived shareholders of sufficient information and time needed to fully evaluate Curaleaf's Hostile Bid, including the following:

- Failure to provide pro forma financial statements that would allow Aurora shareholders to understand the financial condition of the combined company if the Hostile Bid were successful; and

- Failure to hold the Hostile Bid open for the minimum deposit period required by securities laws, which allows Aurora shareholders the full amount of time required by law to consider the Hostile Bid.

Curaleaf, in response to the concerns raised by Aurora in its application, has now agreed to amend its bid circular both to include the required pro forma financial statements and to extend the expiry time for the Hostile Bid to 11:59pm (Mountain Time) on December 4, 2026.

Shareholder Assistance

- Call or Text: 416-623-4172

Shareholders should take NO action at this time. Shareholders should wait until the Board has provided its formal recommendation regarding the Hostile Bid.

First LT Games competition in Texas challenged 110+ hybrid athletes across 17 high-intensity workout stations

FRISCO, Texas, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Life Time (NYSE: LTH), the nation's premier healthy lifestyle brand, brought its fast-growing hybrid fitness competition to Texas with the inaugural LT Games Dallas, held Oct. 2-3 at Life Time Frisco. The two-day event challenged participants' power, endurance and mental toughness through 17 high-intensity strength and conditioning stations.

Among the more than 110 LT Games athletes from across the country, Lauren Weeks captured first place female and first overall with a 36:19 finish. Noah Ohlsen earned first place male with a time of 42:12. Both were also the inaugural champions of the Minneapolis LT Games in 2025.

In total, Life Time awarded $27,000 in prize money across both divisions.

The Top Finishers:

- Women: 1. Lauren Weeks (36:19) | 2. Dakotah Bryant (40:45) | 3. Mackinly Kifer (43:47)

- Men: 1. Noah Ohlsen (42:12) | 2. Arturo Torres (44:41) | 3. Cory Hay (49:48)

"We were pumped to bring the LT Games outside of Minnesota for the first time," said Wes Robertson, LT Games race director at Life Time. "Athletes and competitors from across the country left it all on the course and helped us break in the new HYBRID XT studio built specifically for this type of training and competition."

LT Games gives athletes flexibility in how they complete each movement, adding a unique element of strategy to the hybrid fitness competition that combines functional strength, conditioning and endurance. At several stations, participants choose their own weight, opting for a lighter load and more reps or a heavier load and fewer reps. For box jumps and step-overs, athletes can pick from three box heights. The Dallas competition followed the first two LT Games events at Life Time Minneapolis Target Center in 2025 and 2026.

The event also highlighted Life Time Frisco's new dedicated HYBRID XT studio. HYBRID XT, Life Time's class specifically for hybrid athletes, delivers structured, coach-led programming that prepares participants for LT Games and other performance goals by combining:

- Conditioning and endurance through running, rowing and SkiErg work

- Functional strength using barbells, dumbbells, sleds and bodyweight training

- Athletic movement patterns including pushing, pulling, carrying and rotational work

The first dedicated HYBRID XT studio opened at Life Time Target Center in 2025. The Frisco studio expands access to the format and supports growing interest in hybrid fitness in the Dallas metro. HYBRID XT programming is also offered at many other Life Time locations across North America and can be accessed anywhere through the Life Time app.

LT Games builds on Life Time's expanding lineup of athletic competitions and events, including the LT Classic pickleball tournament and more than 30 athletic events nationwide. These offerings reinforce Life Time's commitment to creating premier athletic experiences that inspire people to set goals, challenge themselves, find their community and become stronger, more capable athletes.

Singapore Cruise Market Expands with Disney Adventure Launch

In Singapore, the cruise industry strengthened in March 2026 with the launch of Disney Adventure, a 208,000-tonne cruise ship and the first Disney Cruise Line vessel to be homeported in Asia. The development expands premium and family cruise capacity in Southeast Asia and supports Singapore's position as a major regional cruise hub. The launch also reflects growing demand for luxury cruises, family tourism, destination-based travel, and new cruise itineraries across the Asia Pacific market.

The Global Cruise Market is segmented by Type, Size, Propulsion, Application, and Region.

By Type, Mainstream Cruise Ships hold the leading position, accounting for approximately 50–55% of the market in 2025, supported by affordable pricing, large passenger capacity, strong brand presence, family-oriented itineraries, and extensive onboard entertainment. Premium Cruise Ships account for nearly 30–32%, while Luxury Cruise Ships represent around 15% and continue to gain demand from affluent travelers seeking personalized services, premium hospitality, expedition travel, and exclusive destinations.

By Size, Large Ships with capacity of more than 1,500 passengers remain important because major cruise operators continue to invest in larger vessels with expanded accommodation, entertainment, dining, wellness, and recreation facilities. Small and Medium Ships also support luxury, expedition, river, and destination-focused cruise experiences.

North America Leads the Cruise Market as Tourism and Fleet Expansion Strengthen

North America remains the leading region in the Global Cruise Market, supported by established cruise infrastructure, strong passenger demand, major homeports, and a well-developed cruise culture across the United States and Canada. The region accounted for more than 22 million cruise passengers in 2025, while popular destinations such as the Caribbean, Alaska, and Mexico continue to support strong itinerary demand. Major cruise operators are also expanding fleets, introducing new ships, and investing in premium, family, and destination-focused cruise experiences.

Europe remains an important cruise market, driven by Mediterranean and Northern European routes, cultural tourism, and premium travel demand. Asia Pacific is gaining momentum as cruise tourism expands across China, Japan, and Australia, supported by rising disposable incomes and growing interest in experiential travel. The Middle East is also developing through cruise hubs such as Dubai, while South America offers growth opportunities through destinations in Brazil, Argentina, the Amazon region, and other nature- and culture-focused itineraries.

Global Cruise Market Competitive Landscape

The Global Cruise Market is highly competitive, with major companies focusing on fleet expansion, new ship launches, premium and luxury experiences, destination diversification, digitalization, and sustainable cruise technologies. Carnival Corporation & plc, Royal Caribbean Group, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Disney Cruise Line, Viking, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, and TUI Cruises remain among the important players in the global market. Luxury operators such as Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Silversea Cruises, Seabourn, Crystal, and Oceania Cruises compete through personalized services, smaller vessels, premium hospitality, and destination-focused itineraries.

Recent developments show that competition is increasingly shifting toward fleet modernization, regional expansion, and differentiated cruise experiences. Royal Caribbean Group announced a major expansion of its Celebrity river fleet, Disney Cruise Line launched the Disney Adventure in Singapore, and Norwegian Cruise Line added Norwegian Luna to strengthen premium capacity. Viking also expanded its luxury ocean offering with Viking Mira, while Regent Seven Seas Cruises prepared the Seven Seas Prestige for its maiden transatlantic voyage. Across the market, companies are strengthening their positions through larger fleets, luxury and expedition offerings, digital onboard services, new itineraries, and investment in cleaner and more efficient ship technologies.
