Onchain open-source delivery-versus-payment infrastructure, tailored for the world's leading financial institutions

NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Solana Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the decentralization, growth, and security of Solana, today announced Solana DvP, an open-source escrow program that offers financial institutions an open-sourced API for for delivery-versus-payment settlement on Solana.

Released under the MIT license, it aims to bring the settlement certainty that banks and other financial institutions require to public blockchain infrastructure for the first time as a reusable standard that is atomically settled, provides isolated escrow, and enforces deadlines.

J.P. Morgan provided Solana Foundation with valuable input on institutional settlement practices and requirements. The result combines J.P. Morgan's decades of securities settlement expertise with Solana's performance as the leading venue for tokenized real-world assets. Until now, institutional trades settling onchain have typically relied on bespoke smart contracts. Solana DvP replaces that with one standard rail.

"Atomic settlement removes counterparty risk that is inherent in traditional finance. Solana DvP program provides institutions with one open standard across the Solana ecosystem, on public infrastructure, with finality in seconds instead of days." – Catherine Gu, Head of Product, Digital Assets, Solana Foundation.

"A shared, open standard for atomic delivery-versus-payment is exactly the kind of foundational infrastructure institutional market participants require to operate at scale without introducing settlement risk and counterparty exposure. We were pleased to contribute our settlement expertise." – Rhodel D'souza, Head of Markets Digital Assets, J.P. Morgan.

Delivery-versus-payment is the bedrock of securities settlement: it ensures the asset and cash move simultaneously to eliminate principal risk. Traditional markets achieve this through a multi-day chain of clearinghouses, depositories, and custodians, tying up capital for one to two days. Solana DvP hopes to compress that process into a single atomic transaction: both legs settle together, or neither does, with finality in seconds rather than days.

The program is meant for the assets institutions can hold. Solana DvP supports SPL Token and Token-2022, including the extensions regulated issuers depend on — like permanent delegate, pausable tokens, and transfer hooks. Any two counterparties can use it with any settlement agent — a bank, a custodian, an exchange. J.P. Morgan's feedback helped shape the program to meet institutional requirements from day one. The result is an open standard that anyone can adopt, build on, and use.

Solana DvP has undergone external security audits and is ready for use with real funds. We also plan to add privacy into the program so that trade settlements can be made private and confidential.

Solana Foundation welcomes design partners and early participants ahead of the production release. Learn more here, or explore the code on GitHub.

DIGITIMES Expands Global Tech Supply Chain Intelligence with Redesigned Intelligence Hub and New News Feed API

TAIPEI, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The global technology supply chain is moving faster than ever. From semiconductor capacity shifts and changes in the AI chip supply chain to export controls and geopolitical developments, enterprises face a challenge that goes beyond information overload: getting relevant intelligence into decision-making processes fast enough to act.

To help enterprises respond more effectively to these changes, DIGITIMES announced two major intelligence service upgrades: a redesigned DIGITIMES Intelligence hub and the new DIGITIMES News Feed API, an enterprise data service. Together, the two services address both how people access intelligence and how enterprise systems consume it, bringing more than two decades of DIGITIMES technology supply chain reporting directly into research, monitoring, and decision-making workflows.

"For more than two decades, DIGITIMES has built an extensive body of first-hand reporting and research on the global technology supply chain," said Ethan Su,General Manager of DIGITIMES. "Our next step is to make that intelligence not only easier to find and understand, but also directly usable within enterprise systems. These two upgrades move DIGITIMES beyond content delivery toward intelligence that can support real business decisions."

Redesigned Intelligence Hub: Faster Access to the Signals That Matter

The redesigned DIGITIMES Intelligence hub consolidates five research categories into four core insight areas: Semiconductor, Server & HPC, Physical AI, and Personal Computing. Together, they cover critical technology developments ranging from chip manufacturing and AI infrastructure to data centers, robotics, autonomous systems, and AI PCs.

Beyond the new content structure, the hub introduces a cleaner interface and streamlined navigation designed to help executives, researchers, and industry professionals identify relevant market intelligence more efficiently.

News Feed API: Bringing Industry Intelligence Directly into Enterprise Workflows

The new DIGITIMES News Feed API makes more than two decades of technology supply chain reporting available as structured enterprise data for the first time, delivering licensed full-text content in JSON format.

Enterprises can define their intelligence scope by company, technology, industry topic, or Keyword Watchlist, and feed relevant content directly into dashboards, alerting systems, internal knowledge bases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. This turns reporting from a stream of articles waiting to be read into structured intelligence that enterprise systems can continuously ingest and use.

Three Core Enterprise Use Cases

For Competitive Intelligence teams, the API enables continuous monitoring of companies and technologies without requiring teams to manually scan individual articles.

For Supply Chain and Risk teams, signals such as capacity changes, export controls, and supply chain disruptions can be routed directly into existing monitoring workflows, helping shorten response times.

For Data and AI teams, tagged full-text DIGITIMES reporting can support internal knowledge bases, RAG applications, and trend analysis, providing industry-specific context for enterprise AI applications.

Enterprises can define their News Feed API coverage through broader Topics or a customized Keyword Watchlist. A two-week evaluation trial is available once the coverage scope has been confirmed.

As AI and the global technology supply chain continue to evolve rapidly, DIGITIMES will continue transforming its long-standing industry reporting and first-hand intelligence into more searchable, integrable, and actionable Decision Intelligence—helping enterprises move from understanding change to making faster, better-informed decisions.

About DIGITIMES

DIGITIMES is a Decision Intelligence platform deeply rooted in the global technology industry. Through first-hand industry intelligence, forward-looking research, and AI-driven analysis, DIGITIMES helps global decisionmakers navigate change and formulate strategies. Why Rosen Law: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. Details of the case: According to the lawsuit, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) UWM Holdings had deviated from its traditional strategy of not hedging its mortgage servicing rights to take a major hedge position; (2) UWM Holdings over-hedged itself in anticipation of the Two Harbors transaction; (3) UWM Holdings' purported efforts to balance its risk in fact created an excess hedging risk; and (4) as a result of the foregoing, defendants' positive statements about UWM Holdings' business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

To join the UWM Holdings class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/uwm-holdings-corporation/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action.

Vision To Learn Celebrates Providing 300,000 Children in California with Glasses

Vision To Learn Founder Austin Beutner, California Teachers Association President David Goldberg, and Los Angeles Unified Superintendent Andrés E. Chait mark the milestone at 24th Street Elementary School

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vision To Learn is celebrating a major milestone this fall: it has provided 300,000 children in California with the glasses they need to succeed in school and in life. Vision To Learn Founder Austin Beutner, California Teachers Association (CTA) President David Goldberg, and Los Angeles Unified Superintendent Andrés E. Chait marked the occasion today at 24th Street Elementary School.

The celebration also marks the launch of a new effort to ensure every child in LA Unified's Community Schools is provided with the glasses they need.

"More than 4 million children across the country go to school every day without the glasses they need," said Beutner. "When children go to school hungry, we feed them. We make sure they have the books and school supplies they need. Why not glasses? Every child in every school, everywhere in the country, should have the glasses they need to succeed in school and in life."

"Teachers see it every day: a child who can see the board clearly can keep up," said Goldberg, President of the California Teachers Association. "Helping 300,000 children in California shows what's possible when we meet students' basic needs right where they are — at their local neighborhood school. That's exactly what Community Schools are about, and Vision To Learn is a model we want to see grow across California."

"Supporting our students means supporting the whole child," said Superintendent Chait. "When community partners help provide something as essential as a pair of glasses, a medical exam or a vaccination, they are removing barriers that can stand between a child and their ability to learn and thrive. We are grateful for partners like Vision To Learn who help make sure every child has what they need to succeed in the schoolhouse and beyond."

Vision To Learn brings eye care directly to children at schools in low-income communities. Mobile vision clinics, staffed with trained and licensed eye care professionals, help reach children who would otherwise go without the glasses they need.

Independent research confirms the impact. A study published in JAMA Ophthalmology, by researchers from the Center for Research and Reform in Education and the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University, found that children who received glasses from Vision To Learn gained the equivalent of two to four months of additional learning — with the largest gains, up to six months, among children in the bottom quarter of their class academically and children with learning differences and disabilities.

United Teachers Los Angeles Elementary Vice President Maria Miranda, 24th Street Elementary Principal David Owens, students and staff joined in today's celebration. Following the program, guests toured a Vision To Learn mobile vision clinic.

"As a Community School rep, I've seen firsthand the difference Vision To Learn's efforts make for kids," said Miranda. "UTLA is proud to work with Vision To Learn to help ensure all kids in LAUSD are provided with the glasses they need."

"Three hundred thousand is more than a number — it's 300,000 lives that have been changed, children who can see the board more clearly, read a book and take part in class," said Beutner. "Working alongside teachers in Community Schools, we can ensure every child in every school has the glasses they need."

About Vision To Learn

Vision To Learn, a nonprofit, was founded in 2012 by Austin Beutner and the Beutner Family Foundation. Vision To Learn serves the needs of the hardest-to-reach children; about 90% of kids served by Vision To Learn live in poverty and about 85% are Black or Latino. Vision To Learn, the largest provider of eye care at schools in the country, has helped provide more than 4 million children with vision screenings, 810,000 with eye exams, and 690,000 with glasses in 19 states and the District of Columbia, all at no cost to the children or their families. Guardian Data Opens 42,000-Square-Foot Moonachie Facility, Doubling New Jersey Capacity

Relocation after 11 years in South Hackensack expands operational capacity, while enhancements to Sentri™, Guardian's proprietary operations software, improve project visibility for customers and partners.

MOONACHIE, N.J., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Guardian Data, the nation's leading provider of secure data destruction, data center services, and IT packing and logistics, today opened its new 42,000-square-foot facility at 150 Carol Place in Moonachie, New Jersey. The move doubles the company's New Jersey processing capacity and coincides with the October rollout of new digital tools for customers, partners, and field teams.

Guardian spent 11 years in South Hackensack. It now serves more than 400 customers and processes more than 3 million assets a year.

The Moonachie facility supports IT asset processing and additional depot services. ITADs, VARs, MSPs, and other partners based outside the region can use the depot for local operational support in the New York and New Jersey market. The site also has room for new services as customer needs evolve.

"We are building for the projects our customers will bring us in the years ahead," said Rob Alston, CEO of Guardian. "That means investing in the space our teams need and in technology that reflects how the work actually gets done. Developing our own platform lets us keep improving how we operate as we grow."

The platform is Sentri™, purpose-built by Guardian to connect people, processes, and project information from quote to completion, covering scheduling, field execution, invoicing, and reporting.

This month Guardian launches the Sentri field app, which drives consistent execution by Guardian field technicians and ensures every step is followed on every project. The rollout also adds pallet-level GPS tracking of assets in transit. A partner portal will follow in Q4, giving partners greater visibility into work in progress.

"Our partners trust us with their customers," said Katharine Reagan, Chief Revenue Officer of Guardian. "Our job is to deliver the full Guardian experience every single time."

Guardian began receiving at the Moonachie facility today with no interruption to service. Partners should send all shipments and pickups to 150 Carol Place, Moonachie, NJ 07074.

Greenbrier Responds to Trade Petition on Railway Tank Cars
Original HTML

Greenbrier Responds to Trade Petition on Railway Tank Cars

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (NYSE: GBX) ("Greenbrier"), a leading international supplier of equipment and services to global freight transportation markets, strongly disagrees with allegations made in petitions filed by UTLX Manufacturing LLC (UTLX), a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., seeking antidumping and countervailing duties on certain railway tank cars and parts. Greenbrier will vigorously defend its record before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The petitions are not supported by the facts or the law. Greenbrier rejects the false suggestion that it abandoned U.S. tank car production or American workers. Greenbrier operates a purpose-built tank car manufacturing facility in Marmaduke, Arkansas, where American employees build tank cars today. In fact, the petition itself identifies Greenbrier as a U.S. producer and acknowledges Greenbrier's domestic tank car production in 2025.

Greenbrier's commitment to American manufacturing is broad. The company employs more than 2,000 skilled Americans in railcar manufacturing, component assembly, repair and maintenance at more than 20 facilities in 11 states. The petition's effort to portray Greenbrier's manufacturing operations as a retreat from the United States is disconnected from the facts. Since 2019, Greenbrier has invested more than $500 million in its Arkansas manufacturing operations, including Marmaduke and Paragould. These investments support American welders, machinists, electricians, engineers and suppliers across the United States.

Greenbrier also rejects allegations that its tank cars are unfairly priced or subsidized. Greenbrier competes on safety, quality, innovation, productivity and customer value. Its tank cars are built to rigorous U.S. Department of Transportation and Association of American Railroads (AAR) standards, everywhere they are manufactured, including our AAR-certified site in Arkansas. In fact, Greenbrier purchases tons of steel annually from U.S. foundries as the primary input into the tank cars that UTLX alleges to be dumped and subsidized.

Trade remedies should be based on a complete factual record, not a competitor's unsupported claims about Greenbrier's business, workforce or future intentions. Greenbrier will cooperate fully with Commerce and the Commission while advocating for its American employees, customers, shareholders and suppliers, as well as the efficiency and competitiveness of the North American rail network and the broader U.S. economy.

About Greenbrier

Greenbrier, headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, is a leading international supplier of equipment and services to global freight transportation markets. Through its wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures, Greenbrier designs, builds and markets freight railcars in North America, Europe, and Brazil. We are a leading provider of freight railcar wheel services, parts, maintenance and retrofitting services in North America. Greenbrier owns a lease fleet of approximately 20,600 railcars that originate primarily from Greenbrier's manufacturing operations. Greenbrier offers railcar management, regulatory compliance services and leasing services to railroads and other railcar owners in North America. Learn more about Greenbrier at www.gbrx.com.

- The solution builds on LG's extensive automotive infotainment development experience, software expertise and UX/UI capabilities, as well as its long-standing partnership with Renault Group.

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics (LG), a leader in mobility innovation, will supply its integrated cockpit solution for Renault Group's New Trafic E-Tech Electric, the automaker's first mass-produced commercial vehicle built on a software-defined vehicle (SDV) architecture, which won the International Van of the Year award.

Combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system, LG's unified solution plays an integral role in the vehicle, enabling a more seamless and intuitive user experience while supporting a software-centric approach to vehicle development.

An Integrated Cockpit Solution Optimized for SDVs

LG's integrated cockpit solution is optimized for SDVs, which are rapidly becoming the new standard for the mobility sector. While conventional vehicles distribute control functions across dozens of electronic control units (ECUs) dedicated to specific areas or systems, such as the cockpit, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and powertrain, SDVs use high-performance computing and a centralized software architecture to integrate the control of multiple vehicle functions.

Another key advantage of SDVs is the ability to continuously add new features and upgrade existing ones via over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Designed specifically for SDV environments, LG's solution integrates the control of the instrument cluster and infotainment system, serving as a key control platform for the cockpit domain. The cluster element provides driving information such as vehicle speed, revolutions per minute (RPM) and warning indicators, while the infotainment system supports features including navigation and media playback. This allows driving and infotainment information to be presented in a more consistent and intuitive way across the vehicle's displays. In addition to elevating the in-vehicle experience, LG's innovation helps automakers reduce costs through component simplification and system optimization.

Building on Proven Expertise and Strong Partnerships

LG's ability to deliver advanced solutions tailored for SDVs is rooted in its technological expertise accumulated over many years and strong industry partnerships. Drawing on its extensive experience in automotive infotainment development, software expertise and UX/UI capabilities cultivated through its mobile, TV and home appliance businesses, LG has been recognized as a trusted partner in automotive instrument clusters and infotainment systems.

LG and Renault Group have built a long-standing relationship of trust through years of close collaboration. LG was recognized by Renault Group as an outstanding supplier in 2014, 2017 and 2020, and the two companies worked together to develop an Android-based automotive infotainment system in 2021. Building on this proven collaboration, LG developed and delivered an integrated cockpit solution tailored for Renault Group's first production SDV.

Looking ahead, LG plans to further expand its partnerships with major global automakers across North America, Asia and other key markets, strengthening its position as a trusted supplier in the fast-growing SDV automotive electronics market.

"Building on our close collaboration with Renault Group and other global automakers, we will continue to advance the core technologies and solutions needed to support the mobility industry's transition to SDVs," said Eun Seok-hyun, president of the LG Vehicle Solution Company.

CIEE Welcomes Knowledge Without Borders Fellows to Berlin

Four U.S. college students will explore Germany's history, democratic memory, and the role of international education in understanding today's world

PORTLAND, Maine, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week, the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) welcomed four U.S. college students to Berlin as the inaugural Knowledge Without Borders: Democracy and Memory Fellows, recipients of a fellowship established through the generosity of Karen Collias, Ph.D., founder of Knowledge Without Borders (KWB).

Collias' $55,000 gift provides scholarships for four first-generation, Pell-eligible undergraduate students to participate in CIEE's Berlin Open Campus program. Through coursework, site visits, and conversations with historians, civic leaders, and other experts, the Fellows will explore Germany's history, including the rise of Nazism and the Holocaust, and examine how historical memory has shaped German society since 1945.

The Fellows arrive in Berlin at a particularly timely moment. Recent state elections in Germany have renewed public discussion about history, identity, civic education and democratic institutions, adding a contemporary dimension to the questions the students will explore throughout their semester.

At the heart of the fellowship is a question that connects Germany's history with broader questions facing societies today: What happens when subsequent generations begin to challenge the memory culture on which a democratic order was partly built?

"These developments make the Fellows' experience especially meaningful," said Karen Collias, Ph.D., founder of Knowledge Without Borders. "They will have the opportunity to study how Germany has confronted its history while also considering how societies remember, interpret and learn from the past."

The fellowship will encourage students to consider these questions from multiple perspectives and connect their experience in Germany with their own communities and experiences in the United States.

"I am incredibly grateful for this scholarship and the opportunity to study German politics, democracy, and history while living in Germany," said Carter Maki, KWB Fellow from the University of Wisconsin. "Being here allows me to experience firsthand how Germany has emerged from its complex history to become a leader in the European Union and the world. At a time when democracy is being tested around the globe, studying these issues while immersing myself in the culture and political landscape has given me insights I could never gain from a classroom alone."

"International education gives students the opportunity to engage directly with the places, people and perspectives that bring history to life," said James P. Pellow, Ed.D., President and CEO of CIEE. "We are proud to support these students as they explore important questions about history, culture and civic life through firsthand experience."
