Govee Turns Up the Spooky With Sarah Michelle Gellar in New Nationwide Halloween Campaign

The horror screen icon stars in Govee's "Turn Up the Spooky. Slay Halloween." outdoor lighting campaign, bringing a little Hollywood drama to Halloween at home

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Govee, the No. 1 brand for household permanent outdoor lights in the U.S.*, today announced the nationwide launch of its new Halloween campaign, "Turn Up the Spooky. Slay Halloween.", starring actress and genre icon Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Known for some of the most recognizable horror and supernatural roles of her generation, Gellar brings a fitting dose of Halloween nostalgia to the campaign. In the new TVC, Govee Outdoor Lights help transform an everyday home into a more cinematic Halloween setting, playing with color, atmosphere and a little after-dark drama.

Bringing a Little Hollywood Home for Halloween

A memorable Halloween setup is rarely about a single decoration or light. It is about creating an atmosphere that carries across the entire property.

Govee's broad outdoor lighting portfolio gives homeowners the flexibility to build that experience from the roofline all the way to the yard. Permanent Outdoor Lights can define the architecture of the home and establish the overall mood, while Outdoor String Lights and Light Bulbs bring color and personality into porches, trees and gathering spaces. Outdoor Wall Lights and Pathway Lights can extend the scene to entrances, walkways and landscaping, adding depth and helping different areas of the exterior feel connected.

Sarah Michelle Gellar also brings her own take on creating atmosphere. "Instead of covering every inch of the exterior in light, choose one architectural or landscape feature to be the focus, such as the roofline, a tree or the front facade," says Gellar. "Leaving some areas darker will make the lit areas feel more dramatic."

Beyond Halloween, Govee's all-occasion outdoor lighting portfolio can evolve with the home throughout the year, shifting from spooky seasonal scenes to holiday celebrations, entertaining and everyday outdoor ambiance.

Set the Scene for a Smart Halloween

Govee's technology brings those individual lighting layers together into a more coordinated experience.

With DreamView, multiple Govee lights can work together as one connected lighting environment, synchronizing colors and effects across the home and with music for a more immersive experience.

Govee AI Lighting Bot 2.0 makes the creative process more intuitive. Powered by Govee's AI capabilities, it supports natural interactions through text, voice and image inputs, as well as multi-turn conversations that allow users to describe, refine and personalize their desired lighting experience.

A simple prompt such as "moonlit and mysterious," "classic and dramatic," or "playful and family friendly" can become the starting point for a customized Halloween look, making it easier to experiment with trendy colors, effects and seasonal themes while still creating something personal.

"Turn Up the Spooky. Slay Halloween." is rolling out nationwide now.

"Our 2027 plans put our members and their experience at the center, offering benefits and services they can trust to support their health needs and help them live their healthiest lives."

Access to affordable, high-quality care

- Expanded High Value Provider Incentive Program: Entering its fourth year, the Aetna High Value Provider Incentive Program continues to grow, expanding into two new states for 2027. Eligible members who select a provider from the Aetna network of high-value primary care providers (PCPs) experienced in caring for Medicare members will receive additional funds on their Aetna Medicare Extra Benefits Card and, on certain plans, lower out-of-pocket costs for select services.

- Access to lower-cost HMO plans: This year, Aetna is giving renewed focus to HMO products within our portfolio because of the value they offer members. As part of that, we are expanding our Prime HMO plan offerings in select markets, giving members access to a network of local, trusted health care providers at a lower cost.

Helping members stay healthy

At Aetna, we know our members' health needs can go beyond the doctor's office and hospital. Leveraging the power of CVS Health and teaming up with local and national service providers, our 2027 Medicare Advantage plans include supplemental benefits and programs designed to help members stay healthy and independent, such as:

From the comfort of their home, members can receive a comprehensive health assessment and evaluation of their home environment to identify fall risks, social support and clinical needs. Findings from the assessment are shared with the member and their primary care provider, helping to improve care coordination and keep members healthy.

- Aetna Resources For Living® (RFL®): RFL supports members' physical and emotional well-being needs, such as offering resources to address loneliness and connecting members with community resources including local transportation, housing and food programs, and caregiver support programs.*

- Over-the-counter (OTC) benefit: Many Aetna plans include an OTC benefit powered by CVS Flex Benefits. It provides an allowance to purchase certain health and wellness products like toothbrushes, cold and flu medication, and pain relievers at participating retail stores, online or by phone.

Care for those with special needs

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 90% of adults age 65 and older have at least one chronic condition, and many face social and financial challenges that impact their health. Our Special Needs Plans come with support from a dedicated care team to help coordinate care for members and create a more seamless experience for them.

- Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs): In 2027, Aetna will expand C-SNP availability to six new states for a total of 25 states where they are available. C-SNPs also include targeted benefits to help with members' health needs, such as $0 copays for primary care visits and certain specialist visits related to eligible chronic conditions.

- Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs): These plans are for people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, offering coordinated coverage across both programs.

Those with a qualifying chronic condition who meet all other eligibility requirements can use the monthly allowance to help pay for additional everyday expenses, including certain healthy groceries, personal care products, transportation and utilities.

Prescription drug coverage

We provide options for individuals to access their medication at a price that's right for them. Planet Classroom Network & POP Movement Uncover Venice's Rising Sea Risk with Climate Scientist Marco Marani

New Net Zero Speaks Episode Reveals Why Sinking Land, Rising Seas, and Disappearing Salt Marshes Are Reshaping Coastal Communities

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As sea levels rise and coastal lands sink, communities in low-lying cities and river deltas face risks that global sea-level averages alone cannot capture. Today, the Planet Classroom Network, in partnership with the Protect Our Planet (POP) Movement, announced a compelling new episode of the global series Net Zero Speaks featuring Professor Marco Marani, Full Professor at the University of Padova and Director of the Centre for Climate Change Impacts (CRITICAL).

Hosted by youth climate advocate Ivan Ransom and produced and edited by Gillian Cameron, the episode explores one of the defining questions facing coastal communities worldwide: What happens when the sea rises—and the land beneath us sinks?

For Marani, the answer begins with understanding "relative sea-level rise"—the combined effect of rising oceans and sinking land. The problem is particularly urgent in low-lying coastal areas such as Venice and major river deltas, where natural sediment compaction and human activity accelerate land subsidence and intensify flooding risks.

Throughout the conversation, Marani examines the vulnerability of salt marshes, the role of Venice's MOSE storm-surge barriers, the need to integrate engineering with biological and geological sciences, and why coastal communities must begin planning for adaptation now.

A Leading Voice on Coastal Climate Risk

Professor Marco Marani is Director of the Centre for Climate Change Impacts (CRITICAL) and directs the Water and Geological Risk Engineering Master's Program at the University of Padova – Rovigo Campus. His research focuses on extreme events in the global water cycle, sea-level rise, delta subsidence, salt-marsh resilience, and the vulnerability of coastal systems worldwide. A Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, Marani addresses a critical challenge for the future: how societies can protect coastal communities while preserving the natural ecosystems that defend them.

Why Salt Marshes Matter

One of the episode's most critical insights is the often-overlooked role of salt marshes and coastal wetlands. Marani explains that marshes reduce flooding from storm surges while supporting fisheries and local biodiversity. However, their survival depends on their ability to build elevation through sediment and organic material. As sea-level rise accelerates, this natural resilience is threatened; estimates suggest that approximately 50 percent of global marsh areas have already been lost to drowning.

The Venice Lesson: When Protection Has Consequences

Venice offers a compelling case study. Marani notes that while the MOSE storm-surge barrier system is essential to Venice's survival, every engineering intervention carries trade-offs. By blocking exceptionally high tides, MOSE prevents the natural accumulation of sediment that nourishes salt marshes. Marani emphasizes that engineering solutions must be informed by biological and geological processes to remain sustainable long-term.

A Roadmap for Coastal Leaders

Looking ahead, Marani urges coastal leaders to prioritize education, mitigation, and adaptation:

- Invest in Youth Education: Engage younger generations who are increasingly aware and driven toward solutions.

- Combine Science & Engineering: Use climate projections to guide nature-based solutions and infrastructure defense.

- Plan for Managed Retreat: Protect places that cannot retreat—such as Venice—while preparing other vulnerable regions for managed realignment.

"Net Zero Speaks gives young people the opportunity to hear directly from the scientists confronting the defining environmental challenges of their generation," said C. M. (Cathy) Rubin, Founder and CEO of Planet Classroom. "Professor Marani shows us that protecting our coastlines requires more than building barriers. We have to understand living ecosystems, plan for change, and act before climate impacts make our choices even harder."

Civil Rights and Trial Attorney John Gomez Announces Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Developmentally Disabled Man Killed at Fallbrook Care Facility

Gomez Trial Attorneys and the family of Ryan Radabaugh allege Stepping Stone Resources failed to protect the 53-year-old despite an earlier warning involving its parking lot

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Civil Rights and Trial Attorney John Gomez joined the family of Ryan Edward Radabaugh in Fallbrook earlier this week to announce a wrongful death lawsuit following the death of the 53-year-old man with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities while attending a local adult day program.

Gomez and Trial Attorney James Carraway of Gomez Trial Attorneys stood alongside Ryan's father, Bruce Radabaugh, and members of the family outside Stepping Stone Resources on Tuesday to discuss the lawsuit and what attorneys alleged was a preventable tragedy.

The lawsuit paints a picture of a vulnerable man who depended on others for his safety and supervision.

Ryan was a dependent adult with autism spectrum disorder and an intellectual and developmental disability. He was largely nonverbal and had a documented self-soothing behavior of seeking physical warmth by lying on surfaces including cement, asphalt and artificial turf. His tendency to lie in warm areas was so familiar to those who knew him that he had affectionately been nicknamed "Lizard Man."

According to the complaint, Ryan's behavior was known to those responsible for his care, and he had previously been observed engaging in the behavior within Stepping Stone's gated recreation and parking area.

On July 23, 2026, Ryan arrived at Stepping Stone Resources at approximately 8:40 a.m. Less than 20 minutes later, the lawsuit alleges, Ryan was lying unsupervised in the facility's parking lot while under Stepping Stone's custody, care and control.

A vehicle driven by Stepping Stone employee entered the parking lot and struck Ryan, causing catastrophic blunt-force injuries. Ryan was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:45 a.m.

For Gomez, the lawsuit centers not only on what happened that morning, but also on what the facility allegedly knew before Ryan was killed.

"This case is about a vulnerable man whose family trusted others to protect him — and whether a tragedy that had already been foreshadowed could and should have been prevented," Gomez said. "When an organization accepts responsibility for people who cannot protect themselves, their safety cannot be optional."

One of the central allegations in the lawsuit involves an incident approximately 13 months before Ryan's death.

The complaint alleges that in June 2025, another Stepping Stone client with limited safety awareness and a similar tendency to lie down was found unsupervised in the same parking lot.

According to the lawsuit, a witness reported the situation to California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing and said that had she driven into the parking lot as she normally would have, she could have accidentally run over the client.

The complaint alleges Stepping Stone management knew about the incident.

Ryan's family and attorneys contend that the earlier incident should have prompted additional safeguards. The lawsuit alleges Stepping Stone failed to adequately address the danger through measures such as increased supervision, physical barriers, vehicle restrictions, revised staffing procedures or other protections designed to keep vulnerable clients away from moving vehicles.

Thirteen months later, Ryan was killed in that parking lot.

Tuesday's press conference also gave Ryan's family an opportunity to speak publicly about the man behind the lawsuit and the devastating impact of his death.

Bruce Radabaugh spoke as a father who had entrusted others with the care of a son who could not always recognize or protect himself from danger.

Ryan's sister, Erin Radabaugh, also spoke about the impact her brother's death has had on the family and the years their parents spent making sure Ryan received the care and protection his disabilities required.

The family's attorneys say those circumstances are critical to understanding the case because Stepping Stone was not simply providing Ryan with a place to spend his day. The lawsuit alleges the facility had assumed responsibility for supervising and protecting a dependent adult who required assistance with significant aspects of daily life.

Carraway joined Gomez at the press conference to address the legal claims and the responsibilities the lawsuit alleges were owed to Ryan.

The lawsuit names Stepping Stone Resources, Inc., administrator and employee as defendants.

Bruce Radabaugh brought the action individually and as successor-in-interest to his son.

The complaint asserts causes of action for negligence and wrongful death, negligence per se, negligent hiring, training, supervision and retention, premises liability, dependent adult neglect and a survival action.

Among the allegations are claims that Stepping Stone failed to adequately supervise Ryan, prevent him from entering a vehicle-accessible parking lot, respond appropriately to his known behavior and the previous parking lot incident, and implement appropriate barriers, staffing and monitoring.

The lawsuit also alleges Rodriguez failed to maintain a reasonable lookout while operating the vehicle that struck Ryan.

The family is seeking damages for the loss of Ryan's love, companionship, comfort, care, assistance, protection, affection, society and moral support, as well as other damages and relief available under the law.

The lawsuit also seeks punitive and exemplary damages against Stepping Stone Resources and Munoz.

For Gomez Trial Attorneys and the Radabaugh family, Tuesday's announcement focused heavily on whether Ryan's death could have been prevented.

The allegations raise broader questions about the level of responsibility assumed by facilities entrusted with adults who have developmental disabilities and may be unable to recognize dangerous situations or independently protect themselves.

The family contends that the warning signs existed before July 23 and that Ryan should never have been able to lie unsupervised in an area accessible to vehicles.

Through the lawsuit, Ryan's father is now seeking answers about the supervision his son received, the safety measures in place at the facility and what actions were taken following the earlier parking lot incident.

The allegations in the complaint have not yet been adjudicated, and the defendants will have an opportunity to respond as the litigation proceeds.

Gomez Trial Attorneys is representing Bruce Radabaugh individually and as successor-in-interest to Ryan Edward Radabaugh in the case pending before the San Diego County Superior Court.

About the Lawsuit

Simply Good and certain of its executives are charged with failing to disclose material information during the Class Period, violating federal securities laws.

On October 23, 2025, the Company announced its Q4 and YE August 30, 2025 financial results, disclosing that its OWYN (Only What You Need, Inc.) segment, acquired in 2024 for $280 million, had suffered a slowdown in sales growth due to a previously undisclosed product quality issue, specifically, that "a raw material sourcing decision for pea protein," which predated the close of the OWYN acquisition but was implemented shortly thereafter, had "resulted in taste and texture issues" as the products aged, leading to negative product ratings and reviews and depressed sales for OWYN. The Company also disclosed disappointing 2026 net sales guidance in the range of negative 2% to positive 2%, a decline in the rate of growth of at least 75% from the 9% net sales growth it had reported for fiscal 2025. On this news, the price of Simply Good shares fell more than 17%.

Then, on April 9, 2026, the Company announced its Q2 2026 earnings results, disclosing that OWYN's quarterly sales had contracted by nearly 17% year-over-year, as well as a $187 million impairment charge against its OWYN brand intangible assets and reduction of 2026 net sales outlook to a range of negative 7% to negative 10%. On this news, the price of Simply Good shares fell more than 27% over a two-day trading period.

The case is Monroe County Employees' Retirement System v. The Simply Good Foods Company, No. 26-cv-06971.
