The Partnership to Advance Cardiovascular Health Surpasses 500 Signatories Calling on CMS to "Measure What Matters"

A growing coalition of patients, clinicians and advocates urge adoption of new federal quality measures that would allow better screening, management and treatment of high cholesterol.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Partnership to Advance Cardiovascular Health (PACH) announced today that more than 500 individuals across nearly all 50 states have signed a petition urging the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to adopt quality measures that track whether patients' low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, or LDL-C, is measured and treated toward a goal.

"It's time for national quality measures to reflect clinical evidence and allow patients to treat toward a goal."

This petition is the culmination of the Measure What Matters campaign. PACH, in partnership with the Family Heart Foundation, rallied policymakers, advocates, clinicians and patients together to call on CMS and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to adopt the new, clinically aligned quality measure recommendations.

"Heart disease remains the number one killer in America, and high LDL-C is one of the most well-established, modifiable risk factors we have," Executive Director of PACH, Ryan Gough, said in a statement. "Passing 500 signatures on this petition tells CMS what our community has known for years: you can't manage what you don't measure. It's time for national quality measures to reflect the clinical evidence and allow patients to treat toward a goal."

CMS uses quality measures to set national clinical priorities, publicly report data and incentivize the provision of quality health care. They set the standard of care. But the current quality measure for the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease is based upon statin prescription alone, assuming patients who have been prescribed a statin have their cholesterol under control. Updating quality measures to incentivize LDL-C screening and treatment to a standard goal is a long-overdue correction that will save lives, improve outcomes and reduce costs.

These signatories bookend a landmark announcement from the ACC/AHA Multisociety Dyslipidemia Guideline recommendation, which seeks to update the older guidelines to establish specific, risk-based LDL-C goals. The quality measure also includes a Class 1 recommendation for every adult to receive universal Lp(a) screening at least once in their lifetime.

"The new 2026 guidelines represent a major step forward for the cardiovascular community. Now, the hard work begins," said Hilly Paige, Chief Innovation Officer at the Family Heart Foundation. "The NCQA and CMS must adopt these measures to align with the new guideline recommendations."

The Partnership to Advance Cardiovascular Health submitted the letter to the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on September 15.

Genzeon Named UiPath 2026 Industry Impact Partner of the Year for Healthcare and Life Sciences

Recognition honors a five-year partnership advancing AI-powered automation and delivering measurable results across healthcare operations

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Genzeon, an AI-native healthcare solutions and services company, today announced that it has been named UiPath's 2026 Industry Impact Partner of the Year for Healthcare and Life Sciences. Presented at UiPath FUSION 2026, the award recognizes Genzeon's work helping healthcare organizations turn AI and automation into measurable operational and financial outcomes.

Through its five-year partnership with UiPath, Genzeon has helped healthcare organizations scale automation across prior authorization, referrals, claims, revenue cycle management, and other critical workflows — reducing manual work, improving accuracy, and accelerating processing.

"When our clients think about UiPath and healthcare, they think of Genzeon. Five years of joint work have made that real, from the front desk to the revenue cycle to prior authorization, across payers, providers, and life science clients. This award belongs to the teams on both sides who built it," said Harsh Singh, President, AI Business Solutions, Genzeon.

The partnership is delivering measurable results across healthcare operations. For the CMS WISeR program, Genzeon and UiPath delivered prior authorization infrastructure processing more than 450,000 cases annually across 17 high-risk service categories, automating 85% to 90% of routine determinations while meeting mandatory 72-hour turnaround requirements and FHIR and CMS-0057-F compliance.

At a leading pediatric health system, a UiPath-powered referral workflow developed by Genzeon reduced processing time from approximately six minutes to less than one minute, saving an estimated 2,250 staff hours each month.

For a national complex rehabilitation provider, Genzeon and UiPath expanded automated prior authorization coverage from four payers to more than 100, reducing manual touches by 70% to 80% and errors by 90% to 95% during the first phase.

Across the broader partnership, Genzeon has deployed more than 45 AI agents into production and delivered more than 5,000 healthcare automation components.

"ROI is not decided at go-live — it is decided six months into production, when that claim is still getting paid and that referral is still closing the same day," said Vinit Singhal, Sales Leader, AI Business Solutions, Genzeon. "We run Business Value Prioritization before we build and AI Realization after it ships, because day two is where the value actually shows up."

"I'm thrilled to congratulate Genzeon on its recognition as a 2026 UiPath Partner of the Year," said Ashim Gupta, CFO/COO at UiPath. "Genzeon plays a crucial role in helping customers transform how people, robots and agents work together to achieve full value of their AI investments and deliver real enterprise impact."

Genzeon is a UiPath Platinum Partner with a dedicated healthcare-focused UiPath business unit supporting solution development, go-to-market initiatives, professional services, and continued innovation.

Plumbing Expert August Wildman Explains How to Choose the Right Plumbing Company in HelloNation
Image File

The article outlines five key factors that can help homeowners make informed decisions when selecting a reliable plumbing provider.

WESTPORT, Conn., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What should homeowners look for when selecting a plumbing company? HelloNation has published an article that provides the answer, featuring insights from August Wildman of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Southern Fairfield County in Westport, Connecticut.

The HelloNation article explains that choosing the right plumbing company is an important decision that can affect both safety and long-term home performance. Many homeowners begin their search during an urgent situation, which can lead to rushed choices. The article emphasizes that taking time to evaluate options ahead of time helps ensure a more careful and informed decision.

One of the first factors the article highlights is licensing. A licensed plumbing company has met state or local requirements, including testing and verified experience. This helps ensure that plumbing work follows proper codes and reduces the likelihood of future issues. The article notes that licensing also creates accountability, offering homeowners a structured process if concerns arise.

Insurance is another critical consideration discussed in the article. An insured plumbing company helps protect both the homeowner and the workers in case of accidents or damage. Plumbing projects often involve working behind walls, handling water lines, and using specialized tools, all of which carry risk. The article explains that proper insurance coverage prevents homeowners from facing unexpected financial responsibility if something goes wrong.

Experience is also identified as a key factor in choosing a plumbing company. The article describes how an experienced plumbing company is better equipped to diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs efficiently. This is especially important in older homes, where plumbing systems may be more complex or include outdated materials. Plumbing Expert insights in the article show that experience allows professionals to identify underlying problems that may not be immediately visible.

Transparent pricing is another important element covered in the article. A reliable plumbing company should provide clear estimates that outline labor, materials, and any potential additional work. The article explains that transparent pricing builds trust and helps homeowners understand exactly what they are paying for before a project begins. This clarity also makes it easier to compare services and avoid unexpected charges.

Customer reviews are also presented as a valuable resource when evaluating a plumbing company. The article notes that reading customer reviews can reveal patterns in service quality, communication, and reliability. While no company will have perfect feedback, consistent trends can offer meaningful insight. Plumbing Expert guidance in the article highlights that recent reviews are especially helpful because they reflect current operations and service standards.

The article also stresses the importance of choosing a local plumbing company. Local providers are more familiar with regional plumbing systems, building styles, and common challenges. This local knowledge can lead to faster diagnoses and more effective solutions. The article explains that homes in certain areas may have unique plumbing concerns, and a local plumbing company is often better prepared to address them correctly.

Overall, the article concludes that focusing on licensing, insurance, experience, transparent pricing, and customer reviews can help homeowners select a dependable plumbing company. These factors work together to support better outcomes and reduce the likelihood of repeat issues or costly repairs.

Top 5 Things to Consider When Choosing a Plumbing Company features insights from August Wildman, Plumbing Expert of Westport, Connecticut, in HelloNation.

Sudan's Local Responders Honored by the Clinton Global Initiative for Leading Humanitarian Response Amid Ongoing Conflict and Famine

Funders for Mutual Aid in Sudan, coordinated by the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, has mobilized more than $16 million and commits an additional

$5 million for Sudanese-led response and recovery

WASHINGTON, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Since the beginning of Sudan's civil war more than three years ago, community-based groups have been providing food, education and other essential services to more than 20 million people affected by the world's largest humanitarian crisis. These groups were honored for their critical leadership with the Clinton Global Citizen Award, presented by President Bill Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2026 Annual Meeting in New York yesterday.

Funders for Mutual Aid in Sudan, an international coalition that has helped channel more than $16 million to support these efforts, was also recognized during the award presentation for its support of local responders in Sudan. The coalition, led by the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), has helped expand life-saving services, meet urgent needs and build the foundations for recovery in communities affected by conflict and famine.

"As the war in Sudan continues, Funders for Mutual Aid in Sudan is helping to sustain local networks like the Emergency Response Rooms," said President Clinton. "We have a responsibility to stay with them for as long as the need remains, and I commend them for expanding their Commitment to Action."

This year's Clinton Global Citizen Award highlights the impact of thousands of Sudanese community responders who remain on the frontlines of the crisis despite immense challenges.

Hanin Ahmed, a local responder and founder of Old Omdurman Emergency Response Rooms, asks donors, "Keep your eyes, actions and efforts on Sudan. The loudest crisis is not always the most heard. Sudan is crying and bleeding. Will you listen and act?"

For coalition members, the recognition underscores the importance of supporting local responders closest to the crisis.

"This recognition belongs first and foremost to the Sudanese volunteers, neighborhood networks and community organizations that have continued serving their communities despite extraordinary risks," said Patricia McIlreavy, president and CEO of CDP, on behalf of the coalition. "The award demonstrates what is possible when philanthropy trusts local leaders, provides flexible resources and follows the lead of the people closest to the crisis."

New commitment amid an ongoing humanitarian crisis

Since the civil war started in April 2023, Sudan has remained the world's largest displacement and hunger crisis. Millions of people have lost their lives, and millions more have been forced from their homes. More than 20 million people face acute hunger, with 200,000 people experiencing famine.

Despite threats to safety and personal well-being, and amid tremendous resource constraints, neighborhood committees, women-led teams, youth organizers and other mutual aid groups have been delivering life-saving assistance.

Over the past two years, the coalition has supported community kitchens, mental health support, education programs, health systems, clean water and electricity projects, and other locally led efforts addressing immediate and long-term needs.

At this year's CGI annual conference, coalition members announced a new commitment to mobilizing an additional $5 million in flexible funding by the end of 2027 to boost Sudanese-led response and recovery efforts.

"Our role has been to help ensure these leaders have the resources and flexibility they need to continue that work," said McIlreavy. "We are proud to deepen that commitment in the year ahead."

About Funders for Mutual Aid in Sudan

Initiated by the Strengthening Local Humanitarian Leadership Collaborative, which CDP coordinates, participants in Funders for Mutual Aid in Sudan are committed to supporting and strengthening local humanitarian responders who are best placed to provide immediate relief, build resilience and pave the way for recovery in their communities.

Native integrations bring Axis video, body-worn solutions, metadata, and sensor intelligence into LeoCommand and connect teams through LeoLink.

DALLAS, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- LeoSight, a leader in unified incident command software for public safety, today announced a new partnership with Axis Communications, a global leader in network video and physical security technology. The partnership brings native integrations for Axis video management and body-worn solutions into LeoCommand, LeoSight's situational awareness platform, helping agencies strengthen officer safety, operational efficiency, and real-time coordination.

Through the integrations, agencies can bring live video, metadata, and sensor intelligence from Axis devices and systems into LeoCommand. AXIS Camera Station Pro, Axis IP cameras, and Axis body-worn solutions can contribute trusted visual intelligence to the same operational map as officer locations, vehicle data, drone feeds, and other connected public safety systems.

This unified view helps command staff and dispatchers assess incidents as they develop, while LeoSight's secure communications platform, LeoLink, enables relevant information to be shared with field personnel and partner agencies. Teams can coordinate around the same real-time intelligence without relying on separate systems or fragmented communication channels.

Designed for daily operations, critical incident response, and multi-agency coordination, the integrations help agencies turn video and sensor data into shared operational awareness. LeoSight's scalable architecture also supports deployments across agencies and jurisdictions, allowing authorized teams to collaborate while maintaining secure access to the information they need.

"By integrating AXIS Camera Station Pro, Axis IP cameras, and body-worn solutions with LeoSight, agencies can bring trusted video and real-time insights into LeoSight's shared operational map alongside other critical response data," said Dean Cunningham, Axis Segment Development Manager for Public Safety. "Together, Axis and LeoSight give responders the same real-time picture, helping them coordinate faster and act with greater clarity."

For public safety agencies, video is most valuable when it becomes part of a broader operational picture. Connecting trusted visual intelligence with communications and other real-time data helps teams understand what is happening, align their response, and act with greater confidence.

"Public safety teams should not have to piece together an incident across separate screens, systems, and conversations," said Mark Wood, CEO of LeoSight. "By bringing Axis video and sensor intelligence into LeoCommand and making it shareable through LeoLink, we are helping command staff, dispatchers, and field personnel operate from the same real-time picture. That shared understanding supports faster coordination, safer response, and better decisions when every second matters."

The partnership expands LeoSight's ecosystem of public safety technology providers across drones, cameras, body-worn video, sensors, and other real-time public safety technologies.
