Key Case Details & Important Deadlines

- Lead Plaintiff Motion Deadline: October 13, 2026

- Visit: www.hbsslaw.com/aard

What is the Lawsuit About?

The complaint alleges that Aardvark Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing small-molecule therapies targeting bitter taste receptors (TAS2Rs) such as ARD-101 for the treatment of hyperphagia in Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose critical information.

Specifically, the action points out that the offering documents and defendants failed to disclose:

- That ARD-101 was significantly less safe than defendants had led investors to believe;

- That unexpected, reversible cardiac observations (such as QRS prolongation) occurred during trials at above-target doses; and

- Consequently, Aardvark's clinical, regulatory, and commercial prospects—including the Phase 3 Hunger Elimination or Reduction Objective (HERO) trial and open-label extension (OLE)—were materially overstated.

The Truth Emerges: Voluntarily Pause and FDA Clinical Hold

- February 27, 2026: Aardvark announced it was voluntarily pausing its Phase 3 HERO trial due to "reversible cardiac observations at above target therapeutic doses found during routine safety monitoring in a healthy volunteer study." Following this news, Aardvark's stock price plummeted over 56%.

- May 14, 2026: Aardvark announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) placed a full clinical hold on its investigational new drug application (IND) for ARD-101, halting all ongoing studies under the IND, including the Phase 3 HERO trial and OLE trial. Aardvark's stock price fell another 32.1%.

Hagens Berman's Investigation

"We're investigating the suit's allegations, including that Aardvark allegedly misled investors about ARD-101's development, its safety and efficacy," said Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner leading the firm's investigation of the claims in the pending suit.

What Can Aardvark Investors Do?

If you are a class member who suffered losses on Aardvark securities, you have until October 13, 2026, to ask the Court to appoint you as Lead Plaintiff for the class. The firm welcomes AARD investors to contact the firm to discuss their legal rights and potential recovery options.

Learn & Explore Weekend: Road to Freedom Highlights Franklin County History as Visitors Bureau Launches John Brown and Frederick Douglass Statue Campaign
Image File
Original HTML

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Franklin County is wrapping up a busy year of remembering 250 years of American history. No recognition of the county's history would be complete without recalling the events related to John Brown, Frederick Douglass, and the Raid on Harper's Ferry. The public is invited to join Franklin County Visitors Bureau for a Learn & Explore Weekend: Road to Freedom, October 3-4, where the impact of John Brown and Frederick Douglass takes center stage. Nathan Richardson and Doug Dobbs portray Frederick Douglass and John Brown and bring the era's history to life.

The weekend begins with "A Freedom Tour of Franklin County," Saturday, October 3, 9 AM to 3 PM, featuring sites associated with the Underground Railroad, Brown & Douglass, and the USCT. Sunday's program shifts to Frederick Douglass with "Tea & Talk" in the Great Room of the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center, 2 PM-4 PM. Inspired by Frederick Douglass' European Tour of 1845-47, the conversation will cover the breadth of his life.

But, this is not just any history event because the Learn & Explore Weekend: Road to Freedom launches the fundraising effort for the John Brown and Frederick Douglass Statue in Chambersburg as well as the Franklin County Road to Freedom Trail, spanning the 1847 Abolition of Slavery Act of Pennsylvania to ratification of the 15th Amendment in 1870. All proceeds will be used to fund the statue; estimated cost is $200,000.

"During the 250th anniversary year, the freedom story highlighted a colonial journey to freedom. As we near the end of 2026, it is important to continue the theme of freedom in this essential year of history with another chapter of freedom," said Janet Pollard, executive director of Franklin County Visitors Bureau. The October 3-4 Learn & Explore Weekend will transport visitors back to the volatile autumn of 1859, a time when Chambersburg--a small town of just over 5000--was the covert staging ground for the raid on Harpers Ferry. October 3 is a Freedom Bus Tour with stops at Mary Ritner Boarding House, capture site of John Cook, home of bounty hunter Daniel Logan, Wertz Farm and USCT cemeteries. October 4 is a Tea & Talk with Frederick Douglass—a reflective conversation covering the seven decades of his life. Preview the event here.

For more details and information on ticketing, visit Eventbrite here. Options are available at a fixed price or by donation to ensure that all with interest are able to participate.

The Franklin County Visitors Bureau invites all to explore history, arts and architecture, recreation, natural beauty, fresh foods, and the warm hospitality of communities like Chambersburg, Greencastle, Mercersburg, Shippensburg, and Waynesboro. For more information, visit ExploreFranklinCountyPA.com or contact the Franklin County Visitors Bureau at 866.646.8060.

Gary Brecka announced ULC's expansion into Australia from the stage at the Fortuna One Global Summit in Sydney, with 50 locations planned nationally and Double Bay confirmed as the first, targeted for Q1 2027.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultimate Longevity Center (ULC), the longevity and human-optimization franchise built by Anthony Geisler's Sequel Brands in partnership with human biologist Gary Brecka and precision health platform Lifeforce, is expanding internationally.

Revealed on stage by Brecka at the Fortuna One Global Summit in Sydney, the move brings ULC's global footprint past 300 territories, adding a planned 50-location Australian network to the more than 275 territories the brand has already sold across the U.S. since launching franchise sales in 2026, including 200 in its first four months alone.

"The number one question I get asked every single day is, 'where do I start?'" said Gary Brecka, Co-Founder of Ultimate Longevity Center and Founder of The Ultimate Human. "Australians are just as engaged in this conversation as anyone I meet in the US. They're reading the research, they're asking the questions. ULC is the answer. You walk in, and that's where the journey starts."

Double Bay is confirmed as ULC's first Australian center, targeted to open in Q1 2027, with further flagship locations planned for Melbourne and Brisbane ahead of the brand's 50-center national rollout. ULC Australia will bring the brand's three-zone model – The Lab, The Apothecary and The Playground – to a market Geisler and Brecka see as ready for the same shift underway domestically: longevity moving from a luxury pursuit to an accessible, everyday practice.

"Australia has all the hallmarks of what's driven ULC's franchise growth in the US so far – an engaged, health-conscious population, and no real category leader at the neighbourhood level," said Anthony Geisler, Founder and CEO of Sequel Brands. "We've built one of the fastest-growing franchise sales pipelines in preventive health in under a year, and we see the same opportunity here."

Leading the Australian rollout are Ben Doyle, CEO of ULC Australia & NZ, and Marie Doyle, COO of ULC Australia & NZ. Through their Sydney-based property and investment company Fiducia, the Doyles have spent two decades developing homes and communities across Sydney and will now oversee ULC's Australian network.

"We've spent two decades building places people want to be part of, and ULC gives us the chance to do that for people's health," said Ben Doyle. "We saw immediately what this could mean for Australians, and we're proud to be bringing it here."

Make Time Wellness Expands Access to Women's Brain Health with Meijer Launch and Return to QVC

Scientific Advisor Nicole Beurkens, PhD, to Promote Brain Health Awareness on QVC as Make Time Wellness Expands Distribution to Meijer Stores

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Make Time Wellness, the rapidly growing women's brain health supplement line founded by Emma Heming Willis, today announced two milestones that further its mission to get the world thinking seriously about women's brain health. Scientific advisor Nicole Beurkens, PhD, will join the QVC family on Friday, September 25, continuing the conversation around the importance of prioritizing brain health with science-backed wellness solutions. Less than a week later, Make Time Wellness will broaden its retail footprint as its products hit Meijer shelves on October 1.

The milestones build on Make Time Wellness's Target debut earlier this year and reflect the brand's growing retail presence and commitment to making conversations, education, and resources around women's brain health easier to access wherever women already shop, learn, and engage.

"Supporting cognitive function, mood, and overall brain resilience is essential at every stage of life. By bringing both education and science-backed solutions to more women through QVC and retailers nationwide, we're helping make brain health a more accessible part of everyday wellness," said Dr. Nicole.

During the QVC Over 50 & Fabulous presentation, viewers will be reintroduced to Make Time Wellness's line of products, specifically the brand's hero product, Make Time for Brain, Body & Beauty. Dr. Nicole will provide viewers with the science behind the products, and answer questions through anecdotes from her clinical experiences.

Make Time Wellness will bring two of its products to Meijer shelves: Make Time for NAD+ & Rhodiola and Brain, Body & Beauty 14-Day Stick Packs. This is the first time the Stick Packs will be available at a national retailer beyond Target, where the product originally launched exclusively earlier this year, further broadening access to Make Time Wellness's growing portfolio.

"We started this movement because women's brain health wasn't part of the everyday wellness conversation," said Emma Heming Willis. "Now we're putting that conversation in front of women on QVC and putting the products on shelves where they shop."

Beyond its product and educational efforts, Make Time Wellness is committed to advancing brain health through its philanthropic initiatives. The brand donates five percent of all proceeds to organizations working to advance brain health research, education, awareness, and caregiver support, including the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund, which supports efforts to combat frontotemporal dementia, and Hilarity for Charity, a non-profit dedicated to assisting families impacted by Alzheimer's and advancing brain health education.

About Make Time Wellness

Make Time was created to help women prioritize their brain, body, and beauty—in that order, while making more time for themselves. Founder Emma Heming Willis and Founding Partner and Advisor Helen Christoni were surprised by the lack of education, awareness, and products that prioritize women's brain health. They turned their frustration into a global conversation while providing effective wellness products backed by science to help busy women put their brain health and overall wellness above all else. More than a brand, Make Time is a movement, committed to helping women make time for themselves, providing education, and giving back to charity. National CORE, Linc Housing and City of Glendale Celebrate Grand Opening of 340 Affordable Apartments for Seniors and Families

GLENDALE, Calif., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Linc Housing and National CORE, nonprofit developers of affordable housing, joined the City of Glendale, public and private partners, community leaders and residents to celebrate the grand opening of Pioneer Village, a 340-home affordable housing community for families and seniors.

"Pioneer Village is a fitting name because it really does take a village to make a project like this happen," said Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian. "The City saw an opportunity with this property years ago and made the decision to invest in affordable housing. Today, that investment has become 340 homes, and that is something worth celebrating. It also shows how Glendale continues to lead on housing efforts and affordability in the region."

Pioneer Village, located at 515 Pioneer Drive in Glendale, includes three elevator-served, five-story buildings on 2.79 acres. The community offers 92 homes reserved for low-income seniors ages 62 and older, 245 homes for families, and three apartments for on-site property staff. Homes are affordable to households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income.

The buildings are arranged around courtyards and open spaces connected by bridges, with a pedestrian paseo linking the property to nearby Fremont Park. Amenities include more than 5,800 square feet of indoor community space with community rooms, kitchens, computer labs and an on-site gym, along with playgrounds, community gardens, outdoor courtyards with barbecue and picnic areas, rooftop decks and a walking path.

"Pioneer Village brings seniors and families together in an intergenerational community, giving residents the opportunity to deepen their roots in Glendale and build more stable futures," said Suny Lay Chang, president and COO, Linc Housing. "That is the heart of Linc's work: creating homes where people feel secure, connected and part of a community. Pioneer Village was possible through extraordinary partnership among the City of Glendale, the Glendale Housing Authority, CalHFA, Bank of America and National CORE. We are deeply grateful to see that shared commitment become a place people can now call home."

Michael Ruane, president of National CORE, added, "Pioneer Village shows why we need to build at a larger scale. Bringing 340 homes online through one coordinated development allows us to use land, infrastructure and financing more efficiently, so limited resources can help house more people. Opening the doors is only the beginning. Affordable housing works best when it gives people a chance to build community, know their neighbors, connect to services and feel that they belong. This is not just a collection of apartments but a community where families and seniors can deepen their roots."

Pioneer Village began construction in January 2023 and was completed in July 2026. Residents began moving in during June. More than 7,500 unique applications were submitted for the new apartments.

Each home includes air conditioning, electric heating, a patio or balcony, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal and all-electric appliances. Pioneer Village is designed to meet LEED Gold standards from the U.S. Green Building Council. The community includes 342 parking spaces in a two-level subterranean garage, including 35 electric-vehicle-ready stalls.

Pioneer Village is within walking distance of Fremont Park and the Glendale Beeline Route 5 stop at Doran and Pacific. It is also within one mile of the Glendale Central Library, Glendale Family Medical Center, grocery stores, restaurants and pharmacies.

Resident services are provided on site by Linc Housing's resident services team. Programs include healthy cooking and eating classes, exercise classes, social activities and supportive services designed to promote health, wellness, connection and access to resources.

Funding for the development comes from a variety of sources, including multifamily housing revenue bond proceeds through Bank of America construction lending, low-income housing tax credits through Bank of America, City of Glendale Measure S Funds, Low and Moderate Income Housing Asset Funds, HOME Program Funds, CalHFA HUD-Risk Sharing Program and Mixed-Income Program Funds, and other private and public funding sources.

"CalHFA is honored to help finance Pioneer Village through our Mixed-Income Program, and I particularly want to celebrate the collaboration that went into this development," said CalHFA Executive Director Tony Sertich. "We saw mission-driven private partners, the City of Glendale and various state government entities all working together with a common goal of providing seniors and families a safe and affordable place to call home."

KFA designed Pioneer Village, and National CORE served as the general contractor. HavenCORE is the property manager, and Linc Housing provides resident services.
