Getinge Interim Report July-September 2026: Increased profitability, strong cash flow and higher customer satisfaction

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "We delivered organic growth both in order intake and in sales during the quarter, at the same time we increased profitability and generated strong cash flow." says Mattias Perjos, President & CEO of Getinge.

Sales growth was primarily driven by Acute Care Therapies while Surgical Workflows contributed with a stable order intake, mainly within operating room equipment.

The situation for Life Science remains mixed – the high-margin Sterile Transfer category performed strongly, while the project-based and capital-intensive product category of WIS, which includes washer-disinfectors, was impacted by the persistently low level of investment activity in the pharma segment," says Mattias Perjos, President & CEO of Getinge.

The adjusted EBITA margin strengthened sharply, rising to 15.1%, and was positively impacted by tariff refunds of SEK 45 M and year-on-year currency effects of approximately SEK 36 M. Even excluding these factors, the margin improved by more than 1 percentage point to 14.3%, which reflects the sustained positive underlying performance of the operations.

"The improvement was driven by a favorable mix, price discipline and productivity improvements. Improved profitability, together with a positive development in working capital, contributed to strong cash flow," says Perjos.

In the latter part of the quarter Getinge initiated the launch of Cardiohelp II – the medtech company's next generation ECLS therapy platform – in CE countries and Hong Kong. Customer feedback has been positive.

"We also received 510(k) clearance for a new Edi catheter, which can be used together with our ventilators to support breathing for premature infants weighing as little as 500-1000 grams," tells Perjos. "It is increasingly important for us as a trusted partner in healthcare to show how our solutions can help increase productivity."

During the quarter, Torin Plan Optimizer launched, an AI-powered system designed to manage resources more efficiently and make surgical workflows more predictable during surgeries.

"Getinge's greatest strength lies in the work my colleagues around the world do every day in close collaboration with our customers. Against the backdrop of an uncertain global environment, I am therefore particularly pleased that we have achieved all-time highs in both customer satisfaction and employee engagement. At the same time, our ongoing dialogue with customers supports our decision to maintain our outlook for organic net sales growth of 3–5% for the full year 2026," concludes Perjos.

July-September 2026 in brief

- Net sales increased organically by 2.1% (9.5) and the order intake rose by 2.6% organically (4.7)

- Adjusted gross profit amounted to SEK 4,343 M (4,051) and the margin was 51.4% (49.2)

- Adjusted EBITA was SEK 1,278 M (1,079) and the margin 15.1% (13.1)

- Adjusted earnings per share amounted to SEK 3.10 (2.42)

- Free cash flow amounted to SEK 1,302 M (793)

CEO Comment

We are making solid progress on our strategic priorities. Our cost savings program remains on track, recent product launches are receiving encouraging customer feedback, and we are broadening our presence across sales channels. Although these measures have not yet fully offset current market headwinds, they reinforce our confidence in the Group's long-term competitiveness and prospects.

Financial performance summary

Net sales were SEK 9,012m (9,204), representing an organic decline of 5% in the quarter, primarily driven by continued weakness in Europe. Organic sales in the Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division declined by 10%, sales in the Husqvarna Construction Division were unchanged, while the Gardena Division delivered solid organic growth of 8%. Performance in the Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division was significantly affected by the widespread drought across large parts of Europe and continued weak consumer demand in key markets, including Germany and France. In contrast, strong growth in the Gardena Division's Watering business highlighted the resilience of our diversified portfolio, gaining market shares in key markets, and the Husqvarna Construction Division has continued good momentum in its aftermarket business. I am also encouraged by continued growth across all three divisions in North America.

Operating income excluding IAC was SEK -246m (140), corresponding to a margin of -2.7% (1.5). The result reflected lower volumes in the Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division, an unfavorable product mix, inventory reductions and cost increases on raw materials and logistics costs. Free operating cash flow was stable at SEK 2,422m (2,423), as lower operating income was offset by changes in working capital, primarily driven by reduced inventories. We further strengthened the balance sheet, reducing net debt to SEK 9.4bn (9.9).

Executing on cost savings while navigating cost headwinds

Our transformative cost savings program remains on track to deliver SEK 3bn in gross savings by the end of 2028. Year-to-date savings reached approximately SEK 935m, including around SEK 305m in the third quarter, driven mainly by sourcing activities and personnel reductions. However, lower volumes, inventory reductions and cost headwinds continue to weigh on profitability. We are responding with targeted price increases, supply chain actions and product cost optimization, which will partly offset these pressures, although near-term headwinds are expected to remain.

We are advancing our asset-light strategy through further outsourcing initiatives. We will transfer production of selected Husqvarna-branded battery handheld products from Europe to Asia, using both our own facilities and external partners to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.

In addition, the ongoing discontinuation of the stone diamond tool business in the Construction Division, the phase-out of our Brastad component factory in the Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division and relocation of selected activities within Gardena's European manufacturing network are progressing according to plan.

Unlocking the next phase of robotics growth

Our robotic lawn mowing business faced a difficult quarter, with adverse weather, competitive headwinds, and elevated channel partner inventories in Europe constraining demand for Husqvarna- and Gardena-branded products. Although recent performance has fallen short of expectations, we remain the clear market leader and we are confident in our strategy and longer-term development.

The strategic review of the Powered Garden BPU in the Gardena Division is ongoing and we aim to provide an update in the beginning of next year. Our priorities in the Husqvarna Forest & Garden Residential Robotics BPU include expanding our retail footprint and product range across price points and channels, strengthening the robotics organization and development model.

During the quarter, the US became the largest market in terms of sales for our Professional Robotics BPU, driven mainly by continued growth in the golf segment. Upcoming product launches and broader US distribution are expected to further strengthen our competitive position next season. We are also encouraged to be the first robotics company to receive conditional approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for foreign-produced advanced robotic devices in the US market.

Building a stronger, more competitive Husqvarna Group

We are accelerating change across the Group to create a leaner, more agile and asset-light organization. By challenging established ways of working, simplifying operations and acting decisively, we are strengthening competitiveness and profitability in the longer-term. Significant work remains, but I am confident we are moving in the right direction.

When consumer sentiment recovers, particularly in Europe, we will be well positioned to capture growth and improve earnings.

SKF Q3 2026: Improved margin and selectively higher demand

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Comments and figures in this report refer to SKF Group's continuing operations unless otherwise stated. The Automotive segment is reported as discontinued operations and as assets/liabilities held for distribution. The income statement and cash flow statement have been updated for comparative periods, whilst the balance sheet has been updated per September only. Related key figures have been adjusted accordingly.

Q3 2026

- Net sales: MSEK 17,467 (16,562)

- Organic growth: 4.3% (3.7%). Driven by both positive demand as well as solid price/mix contribution.

- Adjusted operating profit: MSEK 2,845 (2,553). Driven by strong commercial execution, especially within Specialized Industrial Solutions (SIS).

- Adjusted operating margin: 16.3% (15.4%).

- Net cash flow from operating activities: MSEK 2,076 (1,780). Mainly driven by improved operating result, partly offset by working capital build-up.

1) SKF Group including discontinued operations.

2) Based on the balance sheet by the end of the period and not 12 months' rolling average.

Rickard Gustafson, President and CEO:

"We delivered 4.3% organic growth and increased adjusted operating margin by 0.9 percentage points to 16.3%, year-over-year, supported by strong commercial execution. We are also bringing forward our BSEK 2 annual savings target by six months, to mid-2027. Shareholder approval of the SKF Vertevo distribution at the EGM marked an important milestone.

Growth in selected markets supports improved margin

Ahead of the planned listing of SKF Vertevo on Nasdaq Stockholm on 1 December 2026, the Automotive business is reported as Discontinued operations from Q3. Looking at our Continuing operations, i.e. our industrial business, organic sales growth was 4.3%, driven by both volume and solid price/mix. We saw higher demand in selected OEM markets, including drives connected to data centers, infrastructure, as well as security and defence.

Bearing Solutions grew by 2.8%, with continued growth in India and Southeast Asia and further improvement in the OEM market in the Americas. Development was broadly unchanged in Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as in China and Northeast Asia. Specialized Industrial Solutions (SIS) continued its strong performance where organic sales increased by 8.3%, growing across all business units and particularly in Aerospace and Magnetic Solutions. It's worth noting that in Magnetic Solutions, we continue to strengthen our position by expanding production capacity and increasing automation to capture structural growth.

I'm pleased that the industrial business improved its adjusted operating margin, compared to the same quarter last year, to 16.3%, reflecting continued strong commercial execution, particularly in SIS. Rightsizing savings of approximately MSEK 350, corresponding to an annual pace of about BSEK 1.7, more than offset negative separation-related synergies. The rightsizing program is progressing well, and we now expect to reach the targeted annual run-rate savings of approximately BSEK 2 by mid-2027 compared to end-2027 as previously communicated.

We continue to actively work with our cost and commercial execution to mitigate continued cost inflation in input costs and logistics. Tariff-related costs were again largely compensated. Investments in our transformation initiatives to harmonize and modernize our IT landscape proceeded as planned. Support production to the automotive business in Q3 was non-material. Currency effects provided a minor tailwind in Q3.

Cash flow from operations increased year-over-year to BSEK 2.1, supported by the improved operating result and partly offset by an increase in inventory for components and materials, primarily within SIS to support continued growth.

Preparing for two focused companies

The approval by our shareholders of the distribution of the shares in SKF Vertevo marked an important milestone ahead of the planned listing on 1 December 2026. Another milestone will be SKF Vertevo's Capital Markets Day (CMD) on 17 November. In Q3, they delivered a solid performance with an improved adjusted operating margin of 4.6% despite challenging market conditions where organic sales declined by –4.0%.

As the separation progresses, we have updated the classification of some items affecting comparability (IAC) between separation and footprint optimization activities. The total expected level of IAC remains unchanged from our CMD 2025 communication, and this has no impact on our path towards achieving our long-term industrial business margin target. Additional production lines transferred to the Automotive business will decrease the need for industrial footprint optimization with BSEK 0.5, while IAC related to the separation will increase by the same amount, totaling approximately BSEK 3.

Out of SKF Vertevo's total production, a few production lines remain to be transferred into SKF Vertevo plants during 2027. This means that contract manufacturing to SKF Vertevo will start to decrease from Q2 2027. Thereafter, it is expected to decrease significantly over the medium term.

Outlook

We expect organic sales for SKF Group's continuing operations to strengthen somewhat in Q4, year-over-year. This as we see a similar market environment as we had in Q3. However, market volatility remains high which amplifies overall uncertainty."

Outlook and guidance

The statements below refer to SKF Group's continuing operations unless otherwise stated.

Outlook Q4 2026

- We expect organic sales for SKF Group's continuing operations to strengthen somewhat in Q4, year-over-year. This as we see a similar market environment as we had in Q3. However, market volatility remains high which amplifies overall uncertainty.

Guidance Q4 2026

- Currency impact on the operating profit: around MSEK 150, year-over-year, based on exchange rates as per 30 September 2026.

Guidance FY 2026

- Tax level excluding effects related to divested businesses and separation of the Automotive business: around 27%.

- Additions to property, plant and equipment: around BSEK 2.5. Compared to previous guidance, this corresponds to a decrease of around BSEK 0.5 as result of optimization of SKF Group's continuing operations' planned investments.

- IAC related to the Automotive separation and footprint optimization for SKF Group including discontinued operations: BSEK –2.5 to –3. This is within the frame communicated at CMD 2025.1)

1) SKF Group including discontinued operations.

Pigment Raises $250M at $2.3B Valuation

Series E raise is led by Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT, with participation from existing investors, WIL (World Innovation Lab), and a planned investment from NVIDIA

New capital accelerates Pigment's move toward autonomous planning, powered by its proprietary Graphite engine

PARIS, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pigment, the AI business planning and performance management platform, today announced a $250 million Series E funding round at a $2.3 billion valuation. The round was led by Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, with participation from WIL (World Innovation Lab), existing investors including Greenoaks, ICONIQ, IVP, and Meritech, and a planned investment from NVIDIA. This capital will accelerate Pigment's mission to move fast toward autonomous planning for global enterprises.

The investment comes on the heels of a milestone year for Pigment, which surpassed $100 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) earlier this year, once again doubling year-over-year. Adoption of Pigment's AI is also accelerating: today, 85% of new metrics in Pigment are created by an Agent. The fundraise puts Pigment in a position to build on this momentum and expand its presence and growth in new regions.

Pigment has rapidly cemented itself as the enterprise-ready platform of choice for large enterprises like Danone, DirecTV, Siemens, Snowflake, ServiceNow, and Unilever displacing legacy incumbents. And, instead of building internal solutions, the world's most AI-savvy and engineering-dense organizations, including Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and Uber, trust Pigment to serve as the reasoning runtime for their enterprise data.

A commitment to technical superiority and continuous innovation is why some of the largest organizations trust Pigment to replace their legacy systems. It also ensures that Pigment has the capacity to seamlessly support massive global deployments, such as its recent selection by L'Oréal, who is replacing its salary planning tool for their 95,000+ employees globally by deploying Pigment.

On the raise, Pigment Co-Founders Eléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli said, "Enterprise planning will change more in the next few years than it has in the last thirty. Legacy tools are being left behind, and the world's most advanced AI companies now run their planning on Pigment. With the backing of our investors, we are moving fast to make autonomous planning a reality for every enterprise. With AI agents running planning workflows end to end and turning decisions into action, companies can respond to change as fast as it happens."

Enterprise-Ready Scale and Engineering

This $250 million injection will significantly accelerate Pigment's R&D and fuel the expansion of Pigment's engineering team, focused on its proprietary, patent-pending compute engine, Graphite, and the AI agents that run on it.

AI agents are only as good as the engine underneath them. Graphite already lets thousands of AI agents and people work on the same governed model at once, scaling to hundreds of billions of data points with deterministic, fully traceable results. That is what makes autonomous planning possible: agents can only be trusted to run planning workflows and act on the results when every number they produce is accurate and every action can be traced. With this funding, Pigment will keep advancing Graphite to handle even larger and more complex workloads, while extending its agents from building models and analyzing data to running planning workflows end to end.

"In most companies, the richest picture of how a business actually runs sits in its plans. Pigment has built that foundation with a single platform connecting finance, sales and workforce planning - and put AI agents to work on it, helping teams model, analyse and act in hours rather than months. Eléonore and Romain have built a global category leader from Paris, and that is exactly the kind of company the Scaleup Europe Fund was created to back," said Shannee Braun, Managing Director, EQT and Scaleup Europe Fund.
