Double board-certified and fellowship-trained urogynecologist and sexual medicine specialist Dr. Vaccaro will help guide Solv Wellness menopause education initiatives for women and healthcare clinicians.

ATLANTA, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Solv Wellness, a science-backed women's health company focused on perimenopause and menopause health, has named Christine Vaccaro, DO, FACOG, MSCP, as its first Chief Medical Officer. Effective immediately, Dr. Vaccaro will advise the company on its menopause education strategy and support educational initiatives for patients and healthcare professionals.

Her appointment comes amid a menopause education gap that leaves both patients and clinicians underprepared: Fewer than one in three U.S. OB/GYN residency programs offer a dedicated menopause curriculum,1 and only about half of women going through menopause have consulted a health professional about it.2

A double board-certified urogynecologist and sexual medicine specialist, Dr. Vaccaro has built her career helping women address pelvic, sexual, and other health concerns that commonly arise during midlife and beyond. She approaches menopause as whole-woman health, spanning pelvic, sexual, and overall well-being, not simply a narrow set of symptoms.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Vaccaro will advise Solv Wellness's menopause education strategy, contribute to patient and clinician resources, and represent the company in select media, speaking, and educational programs. Her work will focus on helping women and clinicians understand their options, ask informed questions, and make evidence-based health decisions, extending the work the company has focused on since 2010.

"Women can spend more than a third of their lives after the menopause transition, yet too many are still expected to navigate it without real answers and solutions," said Terri Wade, co-founder and CEO of Solv Wellness. "Scientific rigor and clinician trust have defined Solv Wellness from the start. Adding a Chief Medical Officer of Dr. Vaccaro's caliber, alongside our medical advisory board, deepens that commitment and helps us reach even more women who deserve to be taken seriously."

Dr. Vaccaro is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon who is double board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and has advanced training in sexual medicine. She graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent 30 years in the U.S. Army and retired at the rank of colonel after serving as Fellowship Program Director and Service Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. A published researcher and active committee member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS), she also develops clinician education for organizations including the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH).

"Women deserve a full menu of options, delivered compassionately," said Dr. Vaccaro. "Too many have been dismissed and told their symptoms are just part of getting older. Many of these symptoms can be evaluated and treated, and women deserve to have their concerns taken seriously. I'm proud to partner with Solv Wellness to help women and the clinicians who care for them make evidence-based decisions."

Dr. Vaccaro practices in Bethesda, Maryland, with Dr. Rachel Rubin, a nationally recognized expert in sexual medicine and menopause care. With Dr. Vaccaro on board as Chief Medical Officer, Solv Wellness continues to reinforce its clinical foundation and leadership behind its mission.

Local Arizona and Central Valley Business Owners Earn National Franchise's Founders Award

Tiffany and Shaun Phelan, multi-unit franchise owners with Senior Helpers, are the first couple to receive the honor

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Senior Helpers, a leading provider of in-home senior care, today announced that multi-unit franchise owners Tiffany and Shaun Phelan of Arizona and California have received the Founders Award, the company's highest honor, at the brand's recent annual conference.

The Phelan's own two locations in Scottsdale and Mesa, Arizona, and two in Clovis and Visalia, California. The award honors owners who best embody the brand's mission by championing its programs, supporting fellow owners, and earning the trust of families in their communities. The Phelans are the first couple to receive this award.

Shaun opened the first Senior Helpers franchise location in Scottsdale in 2007, making him the company's longest-tenured owner. Tiffany joined Senior Helpers' corporate team that same year before opening her first location in the Fresno area. Today she leads dementia trainings for family caregivers and firefighters in California and Arizona. The couple also serves veterans through VA contracts at all four locations.

"To be recognized by the company we've grown alongside for two decades means a great deal to us and to our caregivers," said Tiffany Phelan. "We're beyond grateful to be part of this franchise system, and we're committed to continuously making the care experience better and more accessible for the seniors, families and caregivers in our communities."

Going Above and Beyond with Age-Friendly Care

The Phelans' offices have gone above and beyond to be certified in Age-Friendly Care at Home by Community Health Accreditation Partners (CHAP), a credential that remains uncommon in the home care setting. Senior Helpers was the first private duty in-home care provider in the U.S. to earn it. The certification is built on the 4Ms, an evidence-based framework that addresses: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. For Tiffany, the biggest lesson is the first M — What Matters. She describes every care plan as running on two parallel tracks — what matters to the adult child, and what matters to the senior.

When Katie Blackstock first called Senior Helpers after losing her husband, she wanted company and a weekly trip to the museum. When a hospitalization for heart problems and a Parkinson's diagnosis followed, her care grew to seven days a week. It never stopped being about her—her caregivers still help her run errands, share meals and hear the stories of her world travels. This approach to home care has guided Katie's care every step of the way and is why the Phelans were recognized.

- What Matters: Her care started with weekly museum visits and conversation, and it still makes room for her outings and the travel stories she loves to share.

- Mentation: After losing her husband, Katie's care began with companionship, supporting her emotional well-being through grief and beyond.

- Mobility: As her needs changed, caregivers help her get out safely for errands and the activities she enjoys.

- Medication: After her hospitalization and diagnosis, her care plan adapted to new health needs without crowding out the things that make her day her own.

"Our Founders Award recognizes franchise owners who carry our mission forward, and Tiffany and Shaun have done that for nearly 20 years," said Peter Ross, CEO and co-founder of Senior Helpers. "They've built their reputation one family at a time, and families like Katie's feel their difference every day. They've also generously helped and supported fellow franchise owners across our system do the same. This recognition is well-deserved, and we look forward to seeing their continued impact in the years ahead."

EltaMD Redefines Post-Procedure Care with the Launch of Clinical Breakthrough Solution: Skin Recovery Regenerating Rapid Recovery Serum & Cream

New Professional-Exclusive, First-of-its-Kind System Supports the Entire Post-Procedure Journey, From Immediate Post-Procedure to At-Home Recovery and Long-Term Regeneration

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EltaMD Skin Care, the #1 dermatologist recommended professional sunscreen brand, today announced the launch of Skin Recovery Regenerating Rapid Recovery Serum & Cream, a professional-exclusive system designed to support post-procedure recovery while improving the overall quality and resilience of skin with continued daily use. The launch marks a natural evolution for EltaMD, a brand that began in wound recovery, built its reputation on UV protection and recovery, and now brings that same expertise and innovation to post-procedure recovery.

As aesthetic treatments become increasingly mainstream, with 70% of consumers saying they are considering a cosmetic procedure,¹ according to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery's 2025 Consumer Survey, the need for thoughtful post-procedure care is growing alongside demand. Developed for patients undergoing aesthetic procedures including lasers and microneedling, the new, accessibly priced system pairs advanced regenerating technology with lightweight, elegant formulas. Powered by epidermal growth factor (EGF) and a patented ratio of amino acids, the serum and cream are designed to support the skin's natural repair process, providing immediate comfort without a greasy feel while helping patients protect and improve the results of professional treatments over time.

"Patients are investing more than ever in professional aesthetic treatments and want to protect those results," said Dr. Annie Woo, Senior Director, Professional Affairs, at Colgate-Palmolive Skin Health Group. "We designed this system with dermatologists to bridge the gap between post-procedure recovery and daily skincare, providing instant soothing relief while building habits that protect their treatment investment long-term. It's built to keep working well after the recovery window ends."

At the core of the system is EltaMD's Amino Acid Restore Complex, developed through more than 15 years of research into amino acids and skin, paired with an advanced EGF Tripeptide blend to support the skin's natural renewal process.

- Rapid Recovery Serum: Formulated for daily and post-procedure use, this serum calms the skin to reduce visible redness and promote rapid barrier repair and long-term skin quality improvements.

- Powered by 3% Amino Acid Restore Complex, 1% EGF Tripeptide, and a combination of Hyaluronic Acid, Allantoin, and Cica, it clinically improves skin laxity and cools down the skin, helping to minimize downtime after cosmetic procedures.⁵

- Clinically neutralizing visible redness in 15 minutes along with improvements in visible signs of aging: 14.5% improvement in skin laxity, 11% improvement in skin elasticity, and 19% improvement in skin tightness.²

- Following RF microneedling, the serum reduced skin temperature by 6%, improved the visible appearance of pinpoint bleeding, and accelerated barrier recovery.⁵

- Rapid Recovery Cream: Formulated for daily and post procedure use, this hydrating cream fortifies and moisturizes sensitive and post procedure skin. Formulated with 2.5% Amino Acid Restore Complex, 0.5% EGF Tripeptide, 2% Lipid Blend, and a blend of Ceramides, Allantoin, and Cucumber extract. This triple-action formula hydrates, renews, and repairs the skin barrier.

- Clinically, a single application delivered 41% less dryness, 36% improved radiance, and 20% improved hydration.³

- Following laser resurfacing, 100% of patients agreed skin felt smoother, looked more radiant, was more even-toned, and appearance was noticeably improved when applying after the procedure.⁴

The four-step Recovery & Regenerate protocol starts with the Skin Recovery Amino Acid Cleanser to cleanse, followed by the Rapid Recovery Serum to target and repair, and the Rapid Recovery Cream to moisturize and fortify. The regimen finishes with UV Skin Recovery Green Tint Broad-Spectrum SPF 50 to neutralize redness and protect from UV rays. Together, all formulas are designed to help address dryness, redness, hydration, elasticity, firmness, smoothness, skin barrier health, and overall appearance, transforming post-procedure care from a complicated temporary recovery step into an easy daily skin health routine to look forward to.

"After lasers or microneedling, patients need products that cool and calm the skin quickly without feeling heavy or irritating. Proper at-home post-procedure care is critical to meeting these immediate needs while maximizing clinical outcomes and sustaining treatment results. I'm thrilled for my patients to experience EltaMD's breakthrough post-procedure protocol," added Melanie D. Palm, MD, a board-certified dermatologist and founder of Art of Skin MD in Solana Beach, CA.

EltaMD Rapid Recovery Serum & Cream are offered exclusively through participating skin health professionals; patients should ask their provider about availability. MORE THAN MAYO: KEWPIE HITS THE ROAD TO CELEBRATE ITS CENTURY-OLD ICON'S RETURN TO AMERICA

The "I Love KEWPIE" tour brings the beloved mascot back to its American roots with food, experiences, and community across Southern California

IRWINDALE, Calif., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This fall, KEWPIE is hitting the road with the "I Love KEWPIE Tour," a seven-week celebration across Southern California of food, culture, and the simple joy of a shared meal. Best known for its ultra-creamy, umami-rich mayonnaise made from egg yolks, the century-old Japanese brand is bringing its iconic mascot and story to life for fans old and new.

Those new fans have multiplied in recent years, as KEWPIE has steadily won over American kitchens and millions now reach for the red-capped bottle. Yet few know that the story behind the iconic character on the label begins in the United States. Created in 1909 by American illustrator Rose O'Neill, the character was originally a cherub-like figure created for a comic in Ladies' Home Journal, which went on to inspire a popular line of collectible dolls. Japanese mayonnaise pioneer Toichiro Nakashima was drawn to the beloved character and adopted it as the brand's mascot, linking an American icon to Japanese food culture. A century later, KEWPIE's journey has come full circle, a reminder of the connections food can create.

Now, KEWPIE is bringing that history to life with the "I Love KEWPIE" Tour, which marks the mascot's return to the country. From its roots as a Japanese mayonnaise brand to its growing community of fans in America, the tour brings KEWPIE beyond the bottle and into the real-world moments where people come together over food.

"Every stop on this tour is a chance to meet the people who made room for us in their kitchens," says Jeremy Stoddard, Assistant General Manager, Marketing, KEWPIE. "Our mascot was born right here in America, so seeing KEWPIE become a staple means a great deal to us. Sharing that story in person, one bite at a time, feels like the most natural way to say thank you."

The tour officially kicks off October 17 at the OC Japan Fair in Costa Mesa, celebrating KEWPIE's deep connection to Japanese food culture, before making stops at Santa Monica Pier, Smorgasburg LA, select retailers, and more surprise stops throughout Southern California. At the heart of the tour is the KEWPIE red food truck, serving bites that blend Japanese comfort food staples with creative recipes from partner chefs, including YouTube star Sam Zien of "Sam the Cooking Guy," who will cook live at select destinations like Smorgasburg LA.

Participating Dates and Locations:

- OC Japan Fair: Saturday, 10/17 | 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

- Smorgasburg LA: Sunday, 10/18 & Sunday, 10/25 | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

- Santa Monica Pier: Friday, 10/23 | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

- iHeartRadio Jingle Ball: Friday, 12/4 | 7:30PM PST

Additional stops willbe announced at a later date.

At every stop, fans can dig into free bites made with KEWPIE Mayonnaise, including Egg Salad Sandos and Smash Burger Sliders, and score exclusive tour merch before it's gone. A rotating lineup of original KEWPIE swag means no two stops are quite the same, with everything from apparel and accessories to collectible pins, magnets and stickers. And for the ultimate KEWPIE experience, fans can enter for a chance to win a grand-prize trip to Japan, complete with round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations and curated cultural experiences.

The tour will culminate on December 4 at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Los Angeles at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, where KEWPIE will partner on the backstage "Red Room" at the Pre-Show Village. The KEWPIE mascot will appear on the red carpet and take the stage, while KEWPIE Mayo-inspired dishes will be served to VIP guests. Plus, everyone in attendance will receive a very special gift, expressing gratitude for all who are there.

About KEWPIE

KEWPIE was founded in Japan in 1919 with a simple idea: to make food that brings people joy. That vision came to life in 1925 with the launch of KEWPIE Mayonnaise, made with only egg yolks for an ultra-creamy texture and rich, umami flavor that has become a favorite of chefs and home cooks worldwide.

More than a century later, KEWPIE's lineup has expanded beyond mayo. From dressings to sauces to creative condiments, every product adds depth, character, and a touch of Japanese inspiration to everyday meals.

The brand remains guided by its founding philosophy to contribute to the food culture and health of the world through great taste, empathy, and uniqueness.

Old Fitzgerald Bourbon and Jonathan Adler Roll the Dice on New Limited-Edition Backgammon Set

Bourbon heritage meets bold design for a fresh take on a classic pastime and pairing

BARDSTOWN, Ky., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Old Fitzgerald Bourbon, one of America's most storied whiskey brands, and renowned potter and designer Jonathan Adler today debuted their limited-edition Jonathan Adler x Old Fitzgerald Backgammon Set. As analog pastimes enjoy a resurgence amid a renewed desire to unplug, slow down and reconnect face-to-face, the collaboration from two icons puts a stylish new spin on a timeless game, ideally enjoyed with a superior pour.

Bringing together Old Fitzgerald's storied heritage, celebrated for both substance and style since the late 1800s, with Jonathan Adler's signature take on modern American glamour, the new, strikingly designed backgammon set transforms the classic game into a statement piece made for gathering around with good company and fine whiskey.

Jonathan Adler's distinctive bold patterns and playful motifs seamlessly meld with unmistakable, classic Old Fitzgerald touches, from the brand's signature shades of green to its brushed brass key motif. The latter nods to Old Fitzgerald's longtime "Your Key to Hospitality" tagline, rooted in its origins and synonymous with the brand since the 1950s debut of its now-iconic decanter bottle, a fixture on well-set tables and bar backs for decades.

"Bourbon and backgammon have always been a timeless pairing, united by tradition, ritual and the belief that the best things are meant to be savored and enjoyed in good company – a sentiment at the core of Old Fitzgerald," said Leslie Word, Brand Manager of Old Fitzgerald. "Jonathan Adler was the ideal partner to reimagine this pairing through a modern lens, bringing his signature talent for turning everyday objects into conversation pieces to a set that celebrates Old Fitzgerald's spirted heritage in an exciting new medium."

"Design inspiration can come from anywhere, even a glass of whiskey," said Jonathan Adler. "The backgammon set I created with Old Fitzgerald takes my favorite game and makes it even more glamorous. Old Fitzgerald and I nailed it, if I do say so myself."

Designed to play as beautifully as it presents, the limited-edition set brings a little extra flair and friendly connection to game nights, cocktail hours and holiday gatherings alike, and pairs perfectly with Old Fitzgerald's signature Bottled-in-Bond 7-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Released last year as the brand's newest year-round expression, the Bottled-in-Bond 7-Year-Old is made to be savored however you prefer your Bourbon – neat, on the rocks or in a favorite cocktail.

The Jonathan Adler x Old Fitzgerald Backgammon Set can be ordered now for $425 on the Heaven Hill Distillery Shop here, with select quantities also available on Jonathan Adler's website here. Backgammon sets ordered by December 14 will ship in time for arrival ahead of the holidays.

ABOUT OLD FITZGERALD BOURBON

Old Fitzgerald's line of legendary, award-winning wheated Bourbons dates back to the late 1800s. Inspired by John E. Fitzgerald, a treasury agent famous for thieving Whiskey from the barrels in his care. First trademarked in 1884, the brand's Whiskey earned worldwide acclaim, through sales on luxury rail cars, steamships and private clubs. Rockefeller Foundation, OpenAI Foundation Announce $50 Million Partnership to Help Cities Improve Public Services Through AI

Rockefeller Foundation, OpenAI Foundation Announce $50 Million Partnership to Help Cities Improve Public Services Through AI

Global open call invites proposals from city partners to use frontier AI solutions to advance public services across public health, economic mobility, environmental resilience, and civic engagement

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, The Rockefeller Foundation and OpenAI Foundation launched Cities Deliver: AI Solutions for Public Services, a $50 million initiative to support organizations that help cities around the world use artificial intelligence to better anticipate and meet residents' needs. Through a global open call, the initiative will identify and support eligible nonprofit and civil society institutions working with city governments to improve public health, economic mobility, environmental resilience, and civic engagement. Cities Deliver will award grants ranging from $500,000 to $2 million, aiming to reach up to 100 million city residents globally. Applications open on October 14 and close on November 29, 2026.

Cities Deliver builds on a 2023 convening organized by The Rockefeller Foundation and OpenAI, which brought together more than 40 civic leaders from six continents alongside academic, philanthropic, and nonprofit partners. Participants highlighted the need for talent, tools, and resources to apply AI responsibly. The Rockefeller Foundation subsequently supported projects in Cali, Colombia; Cape Town, South Africa; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Rockefeller Foundation also plans to provide follow-on grants to several partners from these early projects. Planned expansions include Rio's AI-enabled flood-alert system, which would reach more residents and cover additional extreme weather events; Dengue.AI's outbreak forecasting, which would expand from Cali to Cartagena; and Cape Town's resident-engagement platform, which would grow its reach in the city and beyond.

"Over the past three years, we've seen what happens when city leaders, researchers, and local innovators build with AI around real problems. Cities Deliver takes what's working in Cali, Cape Town, Rio, and elsewhere and opens it up to institutions everywhere, so more cities can benefit from the same kind of partnership," said Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation.

"Cities are on the front lines of some of the biggest challenges facing communities, and the organizations working alongside them understand what it takes to deliver solutions that work," said Anna Makanju, Head of Civil Society & Philanthropy at OpenAI Foundation. "AI can help them reach residents faster, anticipate problems earlier, and make public services more responsive to the people they serve. By partnering with the Rockefeller Foundation, we can pair the potential of AI with deep local expertise and help promising solutions reach more people and communities around the world."

According to the UN's 2025 estimates, 45% of the world's 8.2 billion people live in cities, and city services directly shape whether residents stay healthy, find meaningful work, live safely, and have a voice in decisions that affect them. Yet city governments face significant barriers to adopting AI, including high implementation costs and uncertainty around data protection.

Cities Deliver will seek to address these challenges, in part, by combining philanthropic funding, opportunities for shared learning, and access to networks of city leaders and technical partners to help organizations improve public services through AI.

Cities Deliver seeks projects with the potential to meaningfully and measurably improve access to and the quality of public services. The call focuses on four areas:

- Public health. Solutions that extend the reach and readiness of public health systems, from frontline care and disease surveillance to population-scale prevention. Includes healthcare, disability services, food access and nutrition.

- Economic mobility. Solutions that connect unemployed and underemployed residents to income, skills, and benefits, including through benefits enrollment, career navigation, skills-based hiring, and employer-aligned training.

- Environmental resilience. Solutions that help cities forecast, withstand, and recover from environmental shocks, protecting both people and the communities where they live. Includes public safety and emergency services, energy and grid infrastructure, and land management in communities at risk.

- Civic engagement. Solutions that help city governments reach residents proactively and respond faster, from two-way service channels to participatory decision-making. Includes digital access and connectivity, court services, and permitting and regulatory processes. Excludes projects related to voting or elections.

Every project must be led by an eligible organization, include a city government partner committed to collaborating on the work, and serve a charitable purpose. Each solution must include a meaningful frontier AI component, using recent AI models to complete complex tasks, and may combine these capabilities with existing city tools and systems. Applicants may choose the AI models and products that best meet their needs, with no requirement or preference to use OpenAI technology.

Eligible organizations can review the requirements and submit their initial application here. Applicants who advance will be invited to the next stage of the selection process.

Feedback on Existing Cities Projects:

"Our partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation has resulted in AI-powered tools that will transform how we engage with Cape Town's residents, meeting them where they already are: in their own language, by voice or text, on a platform they use every day. These tools will help to enable active citizenry and improve service delivery for our residents. We hope this approach offers a practical model that other cities can adapt and scale to strengthen resident engagement in their own communities." - Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, Cape Town, South Africa

"In Cali, our partnership between the government, academia, philanthropy, and the private sector enabled us to develop the Dengue AI solution, which helps us anticipate dengue outbreaks up to three weeks in advance, strengthening prevention efforts against this public health threat (benefiting more than 2.2 million citizens)... I firmly believe that when cities connect talent, data, and innovation to address actual problems, technology becomes a public good that improves the quality of life for millions of people." - Mayor Alejandro Eder, Cali, Colombia

"Our partnership with Columbia University and The Rockefeller Foundation has been critical to transforming flood risk management in Rio de Janeiro, consolidating the use of artificial intelligence to protect vulnerable populations in Acari and Jardim Maravilha. By demonstrating the effectiveness of our WhatsApp alert system powered by AI, we offer a practical, scalable model for other cities to anticipate climate challenges. " - Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
