China National Tourist Office Los Angeles Spotlights China's Rising Global MICE Allure at IMEX America 2026

With China's exhibition industry reaching record levels and international arrivals surging, the China Pavilion showcases six destinations where world-class business meets extraordinary experiences

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The China National Tourist Office (CNTO) in Los Angeles is showcasing China's growing prominence as a global destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) at IMEX America 2026, taking place Oct. 13-15 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Under the theme "China: Where Business Meets Extraordinary Experiences," the China Pavilion will bring together six distinctive destinations--Beijing, Hunan, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Sichuan and Guangxi—alongside MICE industry partners, presenting a compelling proposition for North American meeting planners, incentive travel companies and corporate decision makers.

The approximately 1,000-square-foot island showcases China's breadth of business event capabilities, from sophisticated, state-of-the-art convention facilities and international travel hotel networks to immersive cultural experiences, spectacular landscapes and customized incentive programs.

"China is entering an exciting new chapter as a destination for international meetings and incentive travel," Dawei Wu, Director of the China National Tourist Office in Los Angeles, said.

He added, "Today's meeting planners are looking beyond traditional venues. They want destinations that inspire creativity, promote meaningful connections and deliver experiences participants will remember long after the event has ended. China precisely offers this combination: world-class business infrastructure, exceptional hospitality and an extraordinary diversity of cultural and destination experiences. At IMEX America, we want North American buyers to discover the possibilities of bringing their next meeting, conference or incentive program to China."

Where Business Meets Extraordinary Experiences

China's competitive strength extends beyond its major business centers.

Beijing combines state-of-the-art international meeting facilities with the cultural and historical significance of the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Hunan offers the dramatic limestone karsts of Zhangjiajie that have inspired Hollywood's blockbuster movie, Avatar, while Shaanxi breathes into life China's ancient civilization through Xi'an and the Terracotta Warriors.

Jiangsu offers historic waterfront water towns and refined cultural experiences. Sichuan combines cosmopolitan facilities with celebrated gastronomy, panda habitats and spectacular natural landscapes. Guangxi provides breathtaking karst scenery, serene river journeys and excellent opportunities for executive retreats and incentive programs that combine unique, rustic cultural experiences with modern amenities.

A New Opportunity for North American Meeting Planners

As global event strategies prioritize attendee engagement, cultural immersion and meaningful experiences, China offers meeting organizers the opportunity to build programs that extend well beyond the convention floor.

Advances in transportation connectivity, digital payment accessibility and international visitor services are making travel across China more convenient. Eligible travelers may also benefit from China's 240-hour visa-free transit policy, subject to nationality and itinerary requirements.

"China is not simply one destination. It is a world of possibilities for meeting and incentive planners, " Wu stated. "Our objective is to strengthen relationships with the North American travel trade, introduce buyers to new destinations and connect them with the partners and expertise needed to turn promising ideas into extraordinary programs."

Through destination presentations and business-to-business engagement, CNTO Los Angeles aims to expand China's visibility in the North American MICE market, cultivate new partnerships and encourage meeting planners to consider China for their upcoming international programs.

The China National Tourist Office (CNTO) in Los Angeles is the official overseas representative of China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is responsible for promoting travel to China throughout the Western United States and fostering cultural exchanges through destination marketing, travel trade partnerships, industry engagement, media outreach and promotional initiatives. New G2 Research: AI Agents Have Moved From Pilot to Production, But Oversight Comes at a Cost
Image File
Original HTML

- 86% of B2B software buyers purchased AI agent software or services in the past year, a 25% increase from the previous year.

- 31% say employees spend 6 or more hours each week bot-sitting (overseeing agent work), and 45% say that time consumes more than a quarter of the productivity gains they expected.

- 38% of organizations run 100+ agents, and half have an agent budget of at least $1M, yet 47% still manage them informally or through decentralized models.

- 84% of buyers say agent capabilities will influence their 2027 software choices, with 34% considering them a primary deciding factor.

CHICAGO, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- G2, the world's largest and most trusted data source on B2B software, today published its 2026 AI Agents Report, titled "Crossing the Agentic Chasm," which reveals where AI agents are delivering value, why some of those gains are eroding in production, and what businesses need to build trust and enable adoption at scale. Based on a survey of over 1,000 B2B decision makers, the report finds that 66% of B2B agent buyers now have agents in limited or scaled production, an 18% year-over-year increase. Yet, the productivity gains aren't always keeping pace, as 45% say oversight and rework consume more than a quarter of expected gains.

G2's findings from its 2025 Agents Report identified the Trust Gap, which stems from a lack of trust in agents despite their high reliability. The 2026 report reveals that this Trust Gap has led to a Distrust Tax — the cost of operating agents under constrained trust. G2's study indicates one-third of B2B organizations with agents in production spend at least 6 hours per week overseeing agent work, and 45% say oversight and rework consume more than a quarter of their expected productivity gains. For agents to reach mass market adoption, more evidence about how agents work in their systems, clear ownership, and cost controls can help lower the Distrust Tax.

"AI agents are showing real signs of value, but much of it is being erased by oversight, rework, and exception handling," said Tim Sanders, Chief Innovation Officer at G2. "An agent's ability to do work is no longer creating the bottleneck to adoption; it's now formed when organizations don't trust agents to complete the work. Absent trust, agents are limited to isolated use cases and are slowing the market's move into mainstream adoption. For agents to cross that chasm, pragmatists need real proof of credibility — not more marketing promises, but repeatable results in real workflows and the controls that make autonomy safe to extend."

Key findings from G2's 2026 AI Agents Insights Report include:

AI Agent adoption is advancing from pilots to production

Agents are moving beyond experimentation into workflows where companies can measure speed, quality, and cost.

- AI agent adoption by B2B software buyers rose 25% year over year, from 69% to 86%, and 66% of companies now run agents in limited or full production.

- Technology and retail saw the biggest rise in $5 million+ budgets, while healthcare leads the overall spending with 57% of organizations spending at least $1 million annually.

- 4 in 5 organizations using agents in high-volume workflows report at least 11% improvements in cycle time, while nearly half see gains of at least 25%.

- More than 8 in 10 (83%) buyers say agents improve employee satisfaction by reducing repetitive work, and 35% have redeployed employees into higher-value roles. Just 14% report reducing headcount.

The Trust Gap has created a "Distrust Tax"

The agent Trust Gap has begun to narrow as agents advance into production. However, bot-sitting and rework consume a significant portion of agent gains.

- Nearly one-third (31%) of B2B buyers say employees spend at least 6 hours each week overseeing agent work.

- 45% report losing more than a quarter of expected agent productivity gains due to oversight and rework, while 46% report higher-than-expected agent operating costs.

- The Distrust Tax hits larger enterprises hardest: 27% require significantly more oversight, nearly twice the SMB rate of 15%.

Shadow Agents have become the new Shadow IT

Organizations lack visibility into which agents their employees use, who owns them, and the risks they may pose. As agent fleets grow, inventory, identity, visibility, and accountability are lagging.

- 38% of organizations with agents in production operate more than 100 agents.

- Almost half (47%) say agent ownership and controls remain informal or primarily department-led, compared to just 23% that are centrally governed.

- Just 27% maintain a central AI agent registry, while 18% use automated discovery across sanctioned and unsanctioned agents, and just 14% have real-time observability into unusual behavior, costs, or risks.

- Central IT and AI, data, and machine learning teams manage 49% of agent operating costs and collectively own 60% of governance accountability.

AI Agents are disrupting SaaS

Agents are changing both the products buyers want in their software stack and how they expect to pay for them. Traditional seat-based pricing models and disconnected products are becoming weaker fits for agent-driven work.

- Just 9% of buyers consider per-user or per-seat pricing the fairest model for AI agents.

- Pay-as-you-go models, including consumption and completed actions or tasks, rose from 38% in 2025 to 57% in 2026.

- 72% say a strong ecosystem of connectors, actions, skills, or marketplace offerings is very important or a must-have for agent adoption.

- By 2030, 56% of agent buyers expect agents to orchestrate work across their SaaS stack.

AI agents face a higher bar for proof than traditional software

Beyond testing, the real challenge begins when AI agents enter day-to-day workflows. Buyers need to understand what agents can reliably handle on their own and when human intervention is necessary.

- Half of recent agent buyers use their own data science teams to verify vendor claims.

- 4 in 10 ran a hands-on test or proof of concept, made reference calls, consulted analyst evaluations, or used independent benchmarks.

- Before production, 52% require human quality review, 48% require security testing, and 41% need legal, risk, or compliance review. After deployment, 77% re-evaluate agents at least monthly.

- 67% of B2B software buyers have high trust in their organization's AI system, but 48% prefer agents with guardrails, 29% want them limited to specific tasks, and only 7% are comfortable with full autonomy.

About the report

G2 fielded an online survey among 1,019 B2B decision-makers responsible for or influencing purchase decisions for departments, multiple departments, operating units, or entire businesses. Respondents had job titles ranging from individual contributor to manager, director, vice president, or higher.

To maximize differentiation for vendors, this survey defines small-medium business (SMB) as a company with 1-249 employees, mid-market as a company with 250-999 employees, enterprise as a company with 1,000-4,999 employees, and large enterprise as a company with 5,000+ employees. The survey was conducted in July 2026 and included a global pool of respondents across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

This report also cites software review data from G2.com. Over 2,500 software reviews in G2's AI Agent Builder category from March-August 2026 were referenced to illustrate agent use cases. Generative AI reasoning models were used to define the study's focus areas, optimize survey design, and analyze results to inspire writing and data visualizations.

Sony Electronics Introduces the ECM-W5 Wireless Microphone with High-Resolution Audio Recording and Stable Connectivity
Image File
Original HTML

Direct-to-camera 32bit float audio recording1 and wireless monitoring2 help streamline production workflows

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Electronics introduces the ECM-W5 wireless microphone for video creators, combining high-quality audio capture, stable wireless transmission, and versatile recording features to support a more flexible production workflow across a wide range of shooting scenarios.

The system pairs two transmitters with one receiver. It transmits over a line-of-sight distance of up to 500 m3 and is designed to reduce audio dropouts in congested radio-frequency environments. Through the Multi-Interface (MI) Shoe™, 32bit float4 audio travels digitally and directly to a compatible camera and records with video in a single file1. Up to 64 GB5 of built-in memory enables 32bit float backup audio recording directly on the transmitter. Integration with compatible Sony wireless headphones enables cable-free monitoring and microphone functions2. Power supply and linked power control through the MI Shoe on compatible cameras support an efficient workflow from recording through editing. The supplied USB Type-C® adapter also enables connection to compatible smartphones and PCs6. The transmitters and receiver are also sold separately, supporting configurations such as up to four-channel recording and multi-camera production.

"Video creators are working in increasingly dynamic environments, often with smaller teams and less room for error," said Yang Cheng, Senior Vice President of Imaging Solutions, Sony Electronics. "With the ECM-W5, we focused on the real workflow challenges creators face: moving freely, managing multiple voices, staying in sync, and protecting every take, so they can spend more time focused on the story and less time managing audio."

Availability and Price

Pre-orders for the ECM-W5 begin 7 AM PT/10 AM ET, October 14, 2026.

Key Features of the ECM-W5

High-quality recording that captures subtle nuances in sound

The high-performance microphones support 96 kHz High-Resolution Audio recording1, capturing voices with clarity and detail. A 3.5 mm microphone input also supports lavalier and external microphones, including the separately sold ECM-L1, providing flexibility for different recording situations.

Stable audio transmission and recording functions that support an efficient workflow

The system supports line-of-sight transmission at distances of up to 500 m3. It provides approximately three times more stable transmission than the ECM-W37. In congested radio-frequency environments, it is designed to reduce audio dropouts and hold a reliable connection. Low-latency transmission supports applications where real-time audio performance is important, including live streaming.

32bit float4 recording helps creators capture both quiet and loud sounds without the need for constant gain adjustment and suppresses the possibility of clipping8. Through the MI Shoe, 32bit float audio travels digitally and directly to a compatible camera and records with video in a single file1, with no external recorder and no separate audio file to manage, eliminating the work of synchronizing audio afterward.

The transmitters carry 64 GB5 of built-in storage for backup. The storage holds up to 90 hours of audio at 32bit float/48 kHz or up to 60 hours at 24bit/96 kHz1, retaining the source recording.

New audio recording styles through integration with Sony wireless headphones

Compatible Sony wireless headphones2 enable cable-free monitoring, giving creators greater freedom to move while checking sound during recording. Compatible models2 can also be used as wireless microphone inputs.

Versatile functions for comfortable shooting and recording

The system records up to four channels of audio in-camera, covering interviews, panel discussions, event production, and other multi-source needs. The supplied wireless transmitters combine with the separately sold ECM-W5T wireless transmitter, and the system also works with external microphones.

Timecode functionality helps simplify synchronization across multiple cameras and audio recordings, helping reduce manual alignment work in post-production.

Through the MI Shoe, compatible Sony cameras can provide power to the receiver and support linked power control. The supplied USB Type-C® adapter enables recording on compatible smartphones and PCs6, and connecting a transmitter directly over Bluetooth® allows wireless recording9. The transmitters provide up to 11 hours of operating time. A dust- and moisture-resistant design supports use in a range of environments10.

"Franchise growth and consumer awareness go hand in hand," Ricky Richardson, CEO of Eggs Up Grill said. "As we build on our existing presence, we want people to already recognize Eggs Up Grill and understand the experience we deliver. Partnerships like this allow us to build that familiarity on a much larger scale while creating another reason for guests, prospective franchise owners and communities to engage with our brand."

The partnership will put Eggs Up Grill in front of race fans throughout the lead-up to and during Talladega's Oct. 23-25 race weekend, which includes three days of competition culminating with Sunday's premier race. Eggs Up Grill will be featured on driver Cole Custer's No. 41 Haas Factory Team Chevrolet Camaro Sysco-sponsored car during Sunday's race, bringing Eggs Up Grill onto one of motorsports' most recognizable stages.

The race-week partnership will also extend directly into Eggs Up Grill restaurants. On Oct. 24 and 25, participating restaurants across the system will offer "Dega Donuts," three donuts for $1.41, a nod to the No. 41 driver Cole Custer. The limited-time promotion connects the excitement at Talladega with the in-restaurant guest experience, giving communities across the Eggs Up Grill system another way to engage with the partnership.

"Talladega gives us an incredible opportunity to introduce Eggs Up Grill to a broader audience while building even greater awareness in communities where we're already growing," said Ricky Richardson, CEO of Eggs Up Grill. "It brings together a passionate fan base from across the region and the country, and we're excited to be part of an event that brings that audience together. This kind of visibility is incredibly valuable as we continue growing our restaurant footprint and introducing more communities to Eggs Up Grill."

Looking ahead, Eggs Up Grill plans to build on its strong growth momentum, with significant whitespace for expansion across Alabama and markets nationwide. To support this continued growth, the brand is actively seeking qualified franchisees to bring Eggs Up Grill to new communities.

The brand's simplified restaurant format and daytime-only operations continue to resonate with franchise groups seeking scalable concepts.

Janie and Jack Unveils "The Memories We Wear" Holiday Campaign Starring Chanel Iman and Her Daughters
Image File

Model and mother of three Chanel Iman reflects on the holiday dressing she grew up with and the traditions she now creates with daughters Cali, Cassie and Capri, in a campaign celebrating the keepsakes families hold onto for years to come.

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Janie and Jack today unveiled "The Memories We Wear," its holiday campaign starring model and mother Chanel Iman. Built on real family memory, the campaign celebrates timeless style and the special pieces parents keep long after they are outgrown, bringing them back to the moments they were worn and the memories made along the way.

For Iman, getting dressed up for Christmas has always been part of what made the season feel special. Her mother turned the holidays into an occasion, from the velvet bows and patent shoes to the excitement of getting ready together as a family. Today she carries that forward with her three daughters, planning their looks for Christmas parties, Christmas Eve and family photos, and saving the pieces that mark each age. "The Memories We Wear" captures that thread between generations, centering on keepsake-worthy pieces made to be worn, remembered and passed down.

"That first Christmas together as a blended family will always be really special to me," said Chanel Iman. "All of the kids wore Janie and Jack, and those outfits represent so much more than just what they were wearing. It was the beginning of a new chapter for our family. When the kids look back at that photo years from now, I hope they see how loved they were and remember how special it was for all of us to come together and create those memories."

"What I love most about this campaign is that Chanel already had a special memory of Janie and Jack with her family before we ever worked together," said Alison Stiefel, Chief Marketing Officer of Janie and Jack. "The holidays are filled with traditions, and getting dressed up is such a meaningful part of them. We create beautiful, timeless pieces for those moments, but it's the memories families make while wearing them that last forever."

For the campaign, Iman's daughters wear the season in black and white, each in her own silhouette. The Velvet Spotlight Dress pairs a soft velvet bodice and boatneck with a dotted tulle skirt. The Velvet Trim Bow Dress comes in cream with black velvet trim, a bow and a ruffle hem. The Scalloped Wide Leg Jumpsuit is finished with a contrast collar, scalloped trim and a bow. The looks coordinate without matching, a nod to the way Iman styles her girls for Christmas Eve, holiday parties and the family photo. Fully lined and made for dressing up, they are pieces families hold onto, from holiday portraits and family dinners to the first visit with Santa.

Drone detection system manufacturers and solution providers are focusing on improving detection of small, low-flying, and autonomous drones across different operating environments. Companies are developing compact radar, RF, EO/IR, acoustic, and multi-sensor systems that can support fixed, portable, vehicle-mounted, maritime, and elevated deployments. They are also improving sensor fusion, RF signal analysis, geolocation, along with AI-based classification to distinguish drones from birds and other objects and reduce false alerts. As users require wider coverage and faster deployment, companies are investing in modular system designs, software-based processing, and automated sensor integration to simplify deployment and support different drone detection requirements.

Short range (1 km) segment to hold second-largest market share in 2026

The short range (1 km) segment addresses localized drone detection requirements where monitoring is focused on the immediate area around a facility, asset, or personnel. These systems are relevant for public venues, prisons, government buildings, temporary military positions, commercial facilities, and other locations where drones may approach at low altitude and close distance. Short-range detection can use RF sensors, EO/IR cameras, acoustic sensors, compact radar, or combinations of these technologies. Portable and man-portable systems are also commonly suited to this range because they can be positioned close to the area requiring surveillance. Short-range systems can provide operators with information on nearby drone activity without requiring the larger sensors and infrastructure associated with longer-range coverage. Improvements in compact sensors, signal processing, and automated target classification are supporting more practical short-range detection across fixed and mobile deployments.

Sensor fusion & geolocation to become fastest-growing segment during forecast period

The sensor fusion & geolocation software segment is expected to register the highest growth in the drone detection market, by offering, from 2026 to 2031. The segment is supported by increasing use of multi-sensor detection systems that generate information from radar, RF, EO/IR, acoustic, and other sensors. Sensor fusion software combines these inputs to create a common drone track and helps reduce duplicate or conflicting detections. Geolocation software determines the position of detected drones and, where supported by RF data, can also help locate their controllers. These capabilities are becoming more relevant as operators monitor multiple drones and larger areas around military facilities, airports, borders, critical infrastructure, and other restricted locations.

Kemin's KemTRACE® Chromium is the Only FDA-Reviewed Source of Chromium Propionate on the Animal Nutrition and Health Market Today
Image File
Original HTML

Backed by more than 30 years of research, this milestone will expand access to broader markets

DES MOINES, Iowa, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer that strives to sustainably transform the quality of life every day for 80 percent of the world with its products and services, conducted extensive research that served as the basis for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Veterinary Medicine's approval of the use of Kemin's chromium propionate as a source of organic chromium in broiler breeder chicken and laying hen diets. With this approval, chromium propionate is now approved for use in swine, broiler chickens, cattle, horses, growing turkeys, broiler breeder chickens, and laying hen diets. KemTRACE® Chromium from Kemin is the only FDA-reviewed source of chromium propionate on the market today and has been fed to millions of animals around the globe.

KemTRACE Chromium is a highly bioavailable, organic source of chromium propionate that helps stabilize insulin receptors in animals, improving glucose utilization and reducing the negative impacts of stress. Every cell in the animal relies on glucose to fuel its function and growth, so maximizing cells' utilization of glucose may result in improved immune response and overall health and performance.

"We are thrilled that the use of chromium propionate in animal diets continues to expand in the U.S. and beyond," said Kristi Krafka, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – North America. "Kemin has spent decades advancing the nutrition and performance of livestock and poultry through novel feed ingredients and is now able to offer safe, effective KemTRACE Chromium to more producers, nutritionists, and veterinarians."

With more than 30 years of research and countless peer-reviewed chromium research studies, Kemin paved the path to establish chromium propionate as safe and efficacious. Published research across many species has shown chromium has the ability to reduce cortisol, which is a hormone secreted in response to stress. This reduction in cortisol during times of stress may decrease negative impacts from stress events, such as extreme heat or cold, diet changes, disease challenges, and more.

"There is a robust and growing body of research demonstrating the utility of chromium propionate supplementation in swine, broilers, cattle, horses, turkeys, and now broiler breeder hens and layers," said Dr. Jerry Spears, Professor Emeritus, North Carolina State University. "I appreciate the opportunity to continue to partner with Kemin and to help bring this new research to the poultry industry to support advancements in animal health and performance."

Results of recent studies indicate that chromium propionate (KemTRACE Chromium) supplementation can improve broiler breeder chicken and laying hen performance and is safe when supplemented in diets at levels exceeding the minimum concentration shown to enhance insulin sensitivity. Studies demonstrated:

- Over an 84-day feeding period during peak production, broiler breeders supplemented with chromium propionate (KemTRACE Chromium) had increased egg production without significantly affecting fertility or hatchability.

- When supplemented with KemTRACE Chromium during peak production, laying hens-maintained egg quality and livability over a 112-day feeding period, supporting consistent performance.

KemTRACE Chromium is manufactured at Kemin in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S. This facility has the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000, which is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) as a rigorous food safety management system, certified by approved third-party organizations. The certification covers the manufacturing of food ingredients used for further processing and is designed to deliver greater confidence in food, reduce health risks, lower audit costs, improve brand protection, and improve supply chain management.
