SIMFLO selected to supply high-efficiency vertical turbine pump assemblies across four major regions in El Salvador to support municipal water delivery and well infrastructure

LUBBOCK, Texas, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Lubbock, Texas-based SIMFLO, a global provider of industrial, municipal, commercial, and agricultural-use vertical and submersible turbine pumps, today announced its selection for a major municipal project in Central America to supply water infrastructure to multiple cities.

The project involves supplying high-efficiency vertical turbine pump bowl assemblies to support well construction and scheduled municipal water system maintenance across El Salvador. The equipment is being distributed across all four key geographic regions of the country -- including the Western (Zona Occidental), Central, Eastern (Zona Oriental), and San Salvador Metropolitan regions -- delivering vital municipal water services across various departments.

To meet specific well requirements, SIMFLO provided 1800 RPM vertical turbine models equipped with stainless steel impellers and conical strainers engineered for well diameters ranging from 10 to 14 inches. SIMFLO worked alongside its local distributor and end users to deliver custom technical support, prompt quotes, and fast delivery timelines. By providing on-site technical presentations and direct engineering support, SIMFLO addressed the region's long-standing challenges of long lead times and limited-service options from legacy suppliers.

"Municipal water systems in Central America require dependable equipment backed by quick turnarounds and open communication," said Leo Villanueva, Latin America Sales Manager at SIMFLO. "Our focus at SIMFLO is simple: we aim to be easy to do business with. By backing our distributors with reliable quotes, inventory support, and direct access to our engineering team, we give local communities confidence that their water infrastructure will run without unnecessary delays."

The recent municipal initiative supports SIMFLO's focus on growing its presence across Latin America, including El Salvador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. As water management needs increase across agricultural, municipal, and industrial sectors throughout the region, SIMFLO's ability to pair high-efficiency equipment with direct engineering support serves as a practical advantage.

"Building partnerships in Central America and beyond relies on a shared commitment to quality and transparency at every stage of a project," added Villanueva. "We are proud to support customers and local communities with dependable pumping infrastructure built for long-term water security."

ST. PAUL, Minn. and CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- 3M and Discovery Education today named 8th grader Raji Doshi as the winner of the 2026 3M Young Scientist Challenge, the nation's premier middle school science competition. Raji lives in Farmington, Connecticut, and attends Stanford Online High School. She distinguished herself by engineering a natural algae-and-aragonite system, an inventive solution to address ocean acidification by increasing alkalinity and removing carbon dioxide from seawater. As the grand prize winner, Raji received a $25,000 cash prize and the prestigious title of "America's Top Young Scientist."

Raji spent the summer competing against nine other finalists and ultimately secured the win during final Challenge events at 3M global headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Oct. 12 and 13, 2026. The 2026 finalists, ages 11 to 14, each identified an everyday problem, developed an innovative solution, and pitched their project through a one- to two-minute entry video. Their proposals aligned to 3M technology platforms including climate tech and safety, and finalists were evaluated on their creativity, scientific knowledge, communication effectiveness, ingenuity, application of STEM principles, and demonstration of research.

Raji's project, Engineering a Novel Durable Algae-Aragonite Alkalinity System to Reduce CO2-Driven Ocean Acidification, tests whether macroalgae cultivation paired with natural calcium carbonate buffers could create a durable, low-cost system for reducing coastal acidification, a growing threat to marine ecosystems. The solution reflects the 3M Young Scientist Challenge's focus on encouraging middle school students to think creatively, apply the power of STEM, and develop real-world solutions that can make a meaningful impact. Through carbonite chemistry analysis, Raji demonstrated the efficacy of aragonite in increasing algae biomass, removing carbon dioxide, and substantially lowering dissolved carbon dioxide. She also developed a Michaelis-Menten computational model to identify an optimal aragonite dose, a step toward making climate solutions more practical for coastal communities.

"The 3M Young Scientist Challenge highlights the incredible potential of young people to tackle real-world challenges through science," said William Brown, 3M Chairman and CEO. "The talent and creativity displayed by this year's finalists was exceptional, and we congratulate Raji on earning the title of America's Top Young Scientist."

Each 3M Young Scientist Challenge finalist is paired with a 3M scientist who mentors and works with them one-on-one over the summer to transform their ideas from concept to prototype. This year's winner was paired with Deborah Isabelle, a product engineering specialist at 3M.

"Raji's project reminds us that when you're passionate about something, you can use that interest to change the world," said Isabelle. "She loves collecting seashells and was distressed that ocean acidification is starting to damage the seashells and the creatures that live inside them. It was that passion that led her to create ALKACORE to address the ocean acidification issue."

The second and third place winners from the 2026 3M Young Scientist Challenge also receive special recognition, including a $1,000 prize. This year's runners-up are:

- Aaisha Asif, a 7th grader from Sarasota, Fla., Pine View, Sarasota County Schools

- Sharvi Mahajan, a 9th grader from San Diego, Calif., Westview High School, Poway Unified School District

The remaining top finalists from the 2026 3M Young Scientist Challenge, in alphabetical order by last name, are:

- Ahmed Abdelsalam, a 7th grader from Cambridge, Mass., Darby Vassall Upper School, Cambridge Public Schools

- Aiden Jo, a 9th grader from Houston, Texas, Strake Jesuit College Prepratory, Houston Independent School District

- Roy Kim, an 8th grader from Beaverton, Ore., Whitford Middle School, Beaverton School District

- Arika Kundu, an 8th grader from Shorewood, Minn., Minnetonka Middle School East, Minnetonka Public Schools

- Millie Pradawong, a 9th grader from Fairfax, Va., James Madison High School, Fairfax County

- Naboshree Santra, a 7th grader from Oviedo, Fla., Jackson Heights Middle School, Seminole County Public Schools

- Abigail Stein, an 8th grader from Nashville, Tenn., Harding Academy, Nashville Independent Schools

"When students have the support to follow their curiosity, their ideas can grow into real-world innovation," said Brian Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Education. "For 19 years, our partnership with 3M has paired students with working scientists who coach them from ideation to working prototype. We applaud Raji and every Young Scientist for the dedication and imagination they bring to this challenge, and we're grateful to 3M for helping us make hands-on scientific inquiry a thrill to watch."

Now in its 19th year, the 3M Young Scientist Challenge continues to inspire and challenge middle school students to think creatively and apply the power of STEM to develop real-world solutions. Former America's Top Young Scientists have given TED Talks, filed patents, founded nonprofits, and made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. In addition, a 3M Young Scientist Challenge Alumni Network was formed in fall 2022 and includes more than 100 former challenge winners, finalists, and mentors, who take part in networking opportunities and more.

The award-winning competition supplements the 3M and Discovery Education program Young Scientist Lab, which provides no-cost dynamic digital resources for students, teachers, and families to explore, transform, and innovate the world around them. All the resources are also available on Discovery Education Experience, the essential companion for engaged PreK-12 classrooms.

Rothschild Financial Partners Launches: A Partner-Owned RIA Built on a 1908 Foundation

Rothschild Wealth Partners and Singularity Financial Partners, which builds and runs operations and technology infrastructure for RIAs, form a new registered investment adviser owned by its partners; three partner firms have already joined, with client assets across those firms expected to reach approximately $750 million by year end

CHICAGO, Oct. 14, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Rothschild Wealth Partners, the Chicago firm whose roots trace to 1908, and Singularity Financial Partners, which builds and runs operations and technology infrastructure for RIAs, today announced the launch of Rothschild Financial Partners, a newly registered investment adviser built for established advisors and firm owners.

Established advisors have long faced a trade-off: stay independent and run technology, operations and growth alone, or join a larger firm and fit the practice to its model. Rothschild Financial Partners was formed so that an advisor does not have to choose. It has no private-equity capital, it is owned by its partners, and it is built on a Chicago firm whose roots trace to 1908.

"Every advisor who built a practice wears two hats, practitioner and owner, and most firms serve one at the expense of the other," said Michael Roth, Chief Executive Officer of Rothschild Financial Partners. "We built this firm to augment the first and maximize the second. The practitioner gets an operating company behind the practice. The owner gets paid for what they built and equity in what we build next."

Built on a 118-year foundation.

Four years ago the next generation of leadership at Rothschild Wealth Partners reorganized the firm's ownership around its clients, advisors and executives, and the firm has since grown from $2.5 billion to more than $10 billion of enterprise-wide assets. Rothschild Financial Partners is what that leadership built next, on the same foundation and with the same operating staff and standards, this time with the founders of Singularity: the operators and engineers who built RetireUp, Finance Logix and Invent.

Two roles for every partner.

Every advisor who joins is a partner in the firm. As a practitioner, a partner keeps their clients and their team; the firm runs the operations, compliance, trading and technology behind the practice and puts new client opportunities in front of the partner. As an owner, a partner is paid for the practice they built and holds equity in the firm they are now building, so the growth of the enterprise becomes theirs as well.

How the firm runs.

Singularity Financial Partners, working with Rothschild Wealth Partners, built the operating infrastructure behind the firm: proprietary technology, business development, operations, compliance, trading and a specialist bench in estate, tax, insurance, business succession, retirement plans and a multi-family office, under one roof, built by partners in the firm and never sold to anyone else. The technology is built inside the firm, around how each partner works, rather than purchased and adapted to it. Every process runs through the system and is measured, so the best way a partner does something becomes the way every partner can do it, and it stays with the firm when a partner retires. What the partners teach it stays inside the firm, and the partners own the firm.

"AI will either erode a wealth firm or enhance it," said Mac O'Brien, Chief Growth Officer of Rothschild Financial Partners and Rothschild Wealth Partners. "The difference is whether it is built inside the firm, around its people, or sold to it. We build ours inside. Rothschild Wealth Partners, whose roots trace to 1908, has spent considerable time and effort earning clients' trust. Everything we build sits on top of that trust, and the partners participate in the results."

The firm is for established advisors and firm owners planning their next decade: growth, succession and what their life's work is ultimately worth. Three partner firms have joined since September 2026, with more expected by year end, and each will be introduced in the coming weeks.

xFusion at OCP 2026: When Cooling, Power, and Interconnect Converge for the Agentic Era

Keynote and three product showcases address the cooling, power, and interconnect challenges defining next-generation AI data centers

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- xFusion, a global computing infrastructure provider, is exhibiting at the 2026 Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit from October 12–15 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center (Booth A33), presenting its latest AI computing infrastructure — spanning liquid-cooled rack-scale systems, super node architecture, and next-generation high-voltage DC power solutions — alongside a keynote address on the power and cooling challenges reshaping the AI data center landscape.

AI's Growing Appetite Demands a New Infrastructure Playbook

The rapid scaling of AI workloads is pushing data center power density to unprecedented levels. Single-chip power consumption is trending toward 3,000 watts and beyond, while rack-level power density is advancing from hundreds of kilowatts toward the megawatt class. In this environment, power delivery and cooling — long considered back-end utilities — are emerging as the defining constraints on AI infrastructure scalability.

At OCP 2026, Director of Product Management at xFusion, Arthur Wang delivered a keynote titled "Next-Generation Power & Cooling Solutions," introducing a new framework for measuring data center value: WATT → FLOPS → TOKEN → AGENT → VALUE. Rather than counting servers shipped or cards installed, this framework evaluates how efficiently every watt of electricity is ultimately converted into real business outcomes — from raw compute, to AI tokens, to autonomous agents that deliver measurable value.

"In the Agentic era, competitiveness is not about how many chips you have," said Wang. "It is about how much real business value you can extract from every watt and every joule of heat."

From Watts to Value: Three Converging Revolutions

Delivering on that vision requires solving three infrastructure challenges at once — cooling, power, and interconnect. At OCP 2026, xFusion is showcasing how it addresses all three:

Cooling: With chip-level heat density surpassing what air cooling can physically manage, 100% direct liquid cooling (DLC) is becoming the baseline for AI infrastructure. xFusion's advanced cold plate solutions, incorporating diamond-copper composite materials, deliver single-chip cooling capacity exceeding 4,000 watts — providing headroom for next-generation processors. FusionPod for AI V8, a 42U modular liquid-cooled rack supporting up to 155 kW, is designed for flexible deployment across retrofit and containerized environments, with a distributed CDU that requires no secondary piping modifications.

Power: Traditional 54V DC distribution faces severe efficiency losses at megawatt scale. xFusion is advancing 800V high-voltage DC (HVDC) architecture, which dramatically reduces current and line losses. The company's 800V HVDC Sidecar — a next-generation power supply prototype engineered for 300 kW to 1.2 MW configurations — lays the groundwork for megawatt-class rack-level power delivery.

Interconnect: As electrical signaling approaches physical limits beyond 224G, the transition toward optical interconnects — including co-packaged optics (CPO) — is enabling the bandwidth density that large-scale AI clusters require. xFusion's DaYu 2.0 Super Node, an open-architecture liquid-cooled system delivering up to 240 kW per rack with 128 XPU per cabinet and 256 XPU across dual cabinets, is built to harness these advances while supporting multi-vendor processor compatibility without single-chip lock-in.

These three shifts are not isolated. Together, they form the engineering foundation for what xFusion calls "computing-power synergy" — a system-level approach that optimizes energy flow from the grid all the way to the chip.

Open Standards, Global Reach

xFusion has joined more than 60 industry organizations worldwide and contributed to over 60 industry standards, with an ecosystem encompassing over 30,000 partners. The nation's leading fertility and family support benefit company approaches one million families supported and appoints leaders to three newly created roles spanning growth, people, and artificial intelligence

GREENWICH, Conn., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- WIN, the leading fertility and family support benefit company, today announced the appointment of three senior leaders to newly created roles: Claudio Stefan as Chief Growth Officer, Stacey Zeltner as Chief People Officer, and Dr. Michael Meighu as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence. The appointments strengthen WIN's leadership team as the company enters its next phase of growth, expanding the reach and capabilities of its fertility, family-building, and women's health platform while continuing to put clinical expertise at the center of care. Together, the new leaders will help WIN continue to scale its employer and health plan partnerships, build the organization needed to support that growth, and responsibly apply emerging technology to improve how benefits are delivered and experienced, while improving health outcomes.

"For three decades, WIN has led by anticipating what employers and families will need next," said Dr. Roger Shedlin, CEO and founder of WIN. "As we enter our next phase, that means expanding our reach, investing in our people and using technology thoughtfully, without losing the clinical expertise and human guidance that have always been fundamental to how we support families. Claudio, Stacey, and Michael each bring critical expertise to that vision, and together they strengthen our ability to build what comes next for WIN."

Claudio Stefan, Chief Growth Officer

Stefan leads growth across health plans, strategic partnerships, and other distribution channels, with a focus on expanding WIN's reach and helping more individuals and families access high-quality fertility, family-building, and women's health benefits. Previously, Stefan led growth at SonderMind, one of the nation's fastest-growing mental healthcare companies, where he developed partnerships across health plans, health systems, government agencies, and strategic partners. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at leading investment banks in New York, advising on complex M&A transactions. He brings deep experience in navigating evolving markets, building strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable growth.

Stacey Zeltner, Chief People Officer

As Chief People Officer, Zeltner leads the company's people strategy and is shaping a culture of growth, innovation, and engagement. A recognized change leader and trusted advisor to CEOs and executive teams, she has built and transformed people functions across healthcare, consumer products, higher education, and financial services. Zeltner previously served as the first Chief People Officer at Spire Orthopedic Partners and as Chief Human Resources Officer at Sabra Dipping Company, where she built the HR and internal communications capabilities. Earlier in her career, Zeltner held leadership roles across a range of HR disciplines and industries.

Dr. Michael Meighu, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence

Meighu leads WIN's AI strategy, governance, and adoption, translating emerging technologies into responsible, practical solutions that create business and clinical value. He brings more than 20 years of experience in digital transformation, including a decade of hands-on AI leadership. Previously, Meighu was an AI leader at CGI, one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world, where he specialized in generative AI, natural language processing, knowledge management systems, and enterprise AI implementation.

Over the past two years, WIN has experienced significant growth across its business:

- Families supported: WIN has more than doubled the number of families it supports, growing from more than 500,000 to nearly one million as it expands support across the full spectrum of fertility, family-building and family well-being.

- Employer reach: WIN now serves 900 employer clients covering 9.5 million lives, a 20% increase from two years ago.

- Global footprint: WIN has more than doubled its global reach, expanding from 55 to 124 countries, a 125% increase.

- Provider network: WIN has built the largest network of double-board certified reproductive endocrinologists in the U.S., giving 90% of the U.S. population access to a fertility subspecialist within 30 minutes of home. Every provider in WIN's network is rigorously vetted and credentialed through a process aligned with stringent clinical and quality standards, supporting high-quality care, improved outcomes, and cost-effective treatment.

Technology founder and longtime operator brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling technology-enabled businesses

DALLAS, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- HighLevel, the AI-powered operating system for businesses, agencies, and founders, has announced the appointment of Matt Maloney, founder and former CEO of Grubhub, to its Board of Directors.

Maloney brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling technology-enabled businesses. As founder and CEO of Grubhub, he helped build one of the first scaled online food- ordering marketplaces in the United States, leading the company over a 17-year tenure from startup through significant growth, its merger with Seamless, and its multibillion-dollar acquisition by Just Eat Takeaway.com in 2021.

"Matt knows firsthand what it takes to build a company from an idea into a platform operating at massive scale," HighLevel's founding triumvirate, Shaun Clark, Varun Vairavan, and Robin Alex, said in a joint statement. "His combination of founder instinct, operating experience, and deep understanding of technology-enabled businesses will be incredibly valuable to HighLevel as we continue building the technology and ecosystem that help businesses grow."

Maloney's appointment comes during a period of significant global expansion for HighLevel. In September, the company opened HQ East and its AI Center of Excellence in Dubai, creating a new hub for product development and AI innovation in the Middle East. HighLevel has also expanded its U.S. presence with the opening of its Dallas office, HQ West, a Customer Center where employees work and customers gather for events and educational sessions designed to deepen their understanding of the platform and its capabilities.

"At Grubhub, we helped independent restaurants turn technology and digital marketing into real business growth," said Matt Maloney. "I see that same opportunity at HighLevel on an even broader scale. Shaun, Varun, and Robin are exceptional founders who have built a company with tremendous momentum. I'm excited to join them and a team of entrepreneurs who share my conviction that helping small businesses succeed is how you build something incredible."

HighLevel's global expansion is paralleled by continued AI momentum and industry recognition. Most recently, Meta selected HighLevel to integrate Muse into its platform, marking the second time in three months the company has chosen HighLevel to help bring its latest AI technology to small and medium-sized businesses. HighLevel was also among a select group of companies given early access to OpenAI's GPT-Live-1, further strengthening its role in bringing the latest AI capabilities to small and medium sized businesses at scale.

The announcement also comes weeks before HighLevel hosts LevelUp, its largest annual event, October 26–29 in Dallas. More than 1,500 founders will converge in Dallas for four days focused on entrepreneurship, marketing, AI, operations, and growth. The event will feature more than 60 speakers, including Gary Vaynerchuk and Daymond John, and give attendees the first look at HighLevel's 2027 product roadmap.

Together, the expansion of HighLevel's global footprint, continued investment in its platform and ecosystem, and the addition of experienced technology leaders reflect the company's focus on building the infrastructure, products, and leadership needed to serve businesses and the agencies and entrepreneurs helping them grow.

Mesh Launches Link Chat, Turning Intent Into Financial Action

New capability lets users fund accounts and initiate transactions through chat, connecting the assets they hold to the actions they want to take

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 14, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Mesh, the leading crypto payments network, today announced the launch of Link Chat, a new AI-powered product experience in Mesh Link that enables users to initiate financial actions through a simple, natural-language request. The capability is live and rolling out to partners. Link Chat will expand across Mesh's product stack, including payments and additional transaction types.

With Link Chat, a user can simply state their intent: "Deposit 50 USDC into my account." Mesh then guides that request into a transaction flow. Rather than navigating between apps, locating funds, selecting a payment method, and managing each transfer manually, users can connect their intent to the accounts and assets needed to complete the action.

Closing the Gap Between Intent and Action

Nearly one in three consumers (31%) across the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada now regularly use conversational AI to ask personal-finance questions and compare financial products – with nearly a quarter (24%) of those consumers doing so through tools outside their bank's app, according to Forrester. Yet moving from a request to a completed financial action still requires the right accounts, assets, and payment rails to work together behind the scenes.

Link Chat combines a conversational interface with Mesh's existing connectivity and orchestration infrastructure. A user states the action they want to take, reviews and confirms the transaction details, and Mesh orchestrates the connection between an eligible funding source and the destination platform.

"Conversational interfaces are changing how people get things done. But in financial services, an interface is only as useful as the infrastructure behind it," said Arjun Mukherjee, Chief Technology Officer at Mesh. "Link Chat brings the user experience and the financial rails closer together, so people can use the value they already hold without navigating a maze of disconnected accounts and platforms."

Infrastructure for Connected Commerce

Mesh connects wallets, exchanges, and financial platforms through a single integration, enabling platforms to offer more connected financial experiences without building and maintaining individual integrations across a fragmented ecosystem. Platforms embed this connectivity through Mesh Link, the experience their users interact with to connect accounts and move funds.

Link Chat builds on that foundation. When a user makes a request, Mesh can help surface eligible accounts and funding sources – including accounts the user has already connected to a platform and compatible accounts available to connect. The user remains in control throughout the entire process, reviewing and approving transaction details before funds move. The result is a more natural way for platforms to help users act on financial intent, whether funding an account, completing a payment, or taking another supported action.

Mesh will showcase Link Chat at Money20/20, where the company will have a significant presence across the conference. Arjun will speak at Chat Is the New Checkout: What Happens When Moving Money Becomes a Conversation, taking place Monday, October 19, from 4:20 – 5 p.m. PT on The Intersection Stage.

Following the session, Mesh will host a meet-and-greet on Monday, October 19, from 5:00–5:20 p.m. PT at Coffee Corner at The Intersection. Attendees can meet the team, ask questions, and learn more about how Mesh is building the infrastructure for a more connected future of commerce.
