Film Kissimmee will serve as a central resource for production companies, location managers and digital content creators seeking filming opportunities in Central Florida. The initiative connects industry professionals with a wide range of filming locations, local expertise and production resources to help bring stories to life in Osceola County.

"This initiative reflects the hard work of a team that saw an opportunity and took meaningful steps to bring it to life," said DT Minich, President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee. "Film Kissimmee creates a direct connection between our community and an industry that can drive visitation, support local businesses and introduce new audiences to everything Osceola County has to offer."

Nick Floyd, Experience Kissimmee's Manager of Video Production and the new Director of the Kissimmee Film Commission, will lead Film Kissimmee and oversee efforts to position Osceola County as a premier destination for film, television and commercial productions.

"Just as Osceola County is an excellent place to spend your vacation, we truly believe it is a diverse location for film and television production. And Film Kissimmee is us exploring that intersection between the two," said Floyd. "I'm beyond excited to kick off this new initiative, not just as an opportunity to showcase so many of our incredible partners, but to welcome fresh perspectives on our destination from filmmakers and producers."

One of Film Kissimmee's greatest strengths is the remarkable variety of filming environments available throughout Osceola County. Within a short distance, filmmakers can access a diverse collection of landscapes and settings that capture many sides of Florida, including natural waterways, cypress-lined wetlands, historic downtown streets, ranchlands, hospitality properties and modern innovation centers. Adding to this versatility is Kissimmee's expansive collection of vacation homes, offering filmmakers unique and production-ready settings ranging from luxurious estates and themed properties to contemporary residences and resort-style retreats, each providing distinctive backdrops for film, television and commercial productions.

To support the initiative's launch, Experience Kissimmee partnered with a professional location scout with more than 20 years of experience. The scout identified and documented more than 100 potential filming locations across Osceola County. These locations are being added to an online directory powered by Reel-Scout, an industry-leading location management platform that allows filmmakers to search available properties, review photography and access production-related information.

Beyond attracting film and television projects, Film Kissimmee is expected to create meaningful economic opportunities for local businesses. Production crews often require accommodations, dining, transportation, equipment rentals, supplies and a variety of support services while filming on location.

Those expenditures can generate additional business for hospitality operators and local service providers while supporting Experience Kissimmee's broader mission of driving tourism-related economic impact throughout Osceola County.

Looking ahead, Film Kissimmee plans to continue expanding its location database, developing educational resources for local partners and coordinating familiarization tours for producers and location managers across the United States. These tours will provide industry professionals with firsthand access to Osceola County's filming assets while fostering relationships with local businesses and property owners.

IBM and Siemens Collaborate on Research to Advance Nanostack Architecture

Collaboration aims to accelerate development of the manufacturing and design capabilities needed for future nanostack generations

ALBANY, N.Y., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, IBM (NYSE: IBM), in collaboration with Siemens, announced new research aimed at advancing IBM's nanostack architecture, a new transistor architecture unveiled by IBM earlier this year. The collaboration will bring together IBM's leadership in semiconductor device innovation and Siemens' expertise in electronic design automation (EDA), process simulation, lithography optimization, and advanced manufacturing software to accelerate the development of nanostack.

Nanostack is the industry's first known three-dimensional, nanosheet-based design, vertically stacking and staggering transistors to pack more transistors onto a chip, with nearly 100 billion transistors in a space the size of a fingernail at its current 7 angstrom node. The design also unlocks the use of different material combinations within each stacked layer to optimize performance and power efficiency of each transistor independent of the other. These innovations power substantial leaps in energy efficiency, performance, and SRAM scaling.

Earlier this year, IBM demonstrated the viability of the nanostack architecture. Now, additional advances are needed to prepare the technology for manufacturing and production at scale.

Through this collaboration, IBM and Siemens will work to advance the design, simulation, and lithography techniques needed for this and future nanostack generations beyond the current 7 angstrom node. The collaboration includes developing advanced virtual models of nanostack in order to model performance, optimize designs, and address fabrication challenges before chips are built.

"Nanostack is a scalable transistor platform designed to shift device scaling from 2D to 3D, representing a new paradigm for the semiconductor industry and a path forward for the logic scaling needed to support AI and other emerging technologies over the coming decade," said Huiming Bu, Vice President of Silicon Technology R&D, IBM. "We are thrilled to work with Siemens as we continue to advance this technology and explore new approaches to extend angstrom-level scaling with nanostack."

"Scaling semiconductors into the angstrom era demands tightly coupled co-optimization between device physics, EDA design and manufacturing software, and manufacturing. As physical AI places extraordinary demands on silicon architecture, IBM's 3D nanostack design represents a pivotal leap forward," said Ankur Gupta, Executive Vice President, EDA IC Portfolio, Siemens. "Siemens' collaboration with IBM to advance virtual modeling, simulation, lithography, and design software optimizations needed to address physical limitations early and accelerate the development of these complex architectures is truly pioneering."

By combining IBM's semiconductor leadership with Siemens' advanced EDA software and simulation technologies, the companies aim to accelerate technology development cycles and advance the manufacturing foundation necessary for bringing nanostack toward production.

BCS Earns ISO/IEC 42001 Certification for How It Governs Agentic AI
Image File
Original HTML

As enterprises put AI to work across their core business operations, BCS joins a select group of global technology providers whose AI governance has been independently audited against the international standard.

CHENNAI, India, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Business Core Solutions (BCS), the agentic system integrator behind the Symphony agentic orchestration platform and ProxyN's digital coworkers, today announced it has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for AI management systems. Awarded after an independent audit by BSI, the certification gives customers assurance that the way BCS responsibly design and develop, tests and oversees its AI agents and AI capabilities has been independently certified against an international benchmark.

Agentic AI adoption is accelerating. Enterprises are moving from AI assistants that suggest to AI agents that act, across finance, procurement, supply chain, sales, customer service, HR, asset management, security and compliance. As AI takes on more of that work, boards, procurement and security teams want evidence that it is governed. With this certification, BCS becomes one of an estimated 350 organizations worldwide to hold ISO/IEC 42001.

"AI is moving from the innovation lab into the heart of how enterprises operate. That shift demands a higher standard of trust. ISO/IEC 42001 is independent confirmation that BCS governs AI with the same discipline our customers apply to their own finances, security and compliance," said Prakash Palani, Founder and CTO, Business Core Solutions.

The certification covers how BCS builds and runs AI across its portfolio, from Symphony, its agentic orchestration platform, to the digital coworkers deployed by ProxyN, its agentic arm.

The BSI audit assessed how BCS governs AI across its full lifecycle, from the policies and accountability that set the rules, to risk assessment before anything is built, to the testing, controls and human oversight that apply once AI is in production. It is also confirmed that these practices are followed in daily operation, not just documented. For customers, the result is independent assurance that the AI agents and AI capabilities they rely on are governed to a recognized global benchmark.

"When a business hires a ProxyN digital coworker, it is trusting AI to do real work inside its operations. We take accountability for that work, and accountability starts with governance. This certification gives our customers independent assurance that every digital coworker we deploy is built and run the right way," said Arul Arogyanathan, Founding CEO, ProxyN.

Data Center Physical Infrastructure Market Grows 27 Percent Y/Y to $14 Billion in 2Q 2026, According to Dell'Oro Group

Delays, Not Cancellations: Permitting Emerges as the Main Near-Term Risk to the AI Data

Center Buildout

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recently published report by Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the telecommunications, security, networks, and data center industries, the worldwide Data Center Physical Infrastructure (DCPI) market grew 27 percent year-over-year (Y/Y) to $14 billion in manufacturer revenue in 2Q 2026. The quarter extended the market's run of growth above 20 percent, as demand for AI data center capacity continued to outpace supply. The modest slowdown from 1Q 2026 reflects a tougher comparison, not softer demand. This is also the first quarterly report under a new five-segment customer structure that breaks out hyperscalers, other cloud providers including neoclouds, colocation, telco, and enterprise.

"The quarter's loudest debate was whether the AI data center buildout is being cancelled; the quieter and more consequential one is whether it will be permitted," said Alex Cordovil, Research Director at Dell'Oro Group.

"The hyperscalers' spending plans leave little doubt about demand, but power, long-lead equipment, and community opposition are all stretching project timelines. We now regard siting and permitting as the most serious near-term brake on the market, and the timing of permits and grid interconnections is harder to call than the demand behind them," add Cordovil.

Additional highlights from the 2Q 2026 Data Center Physical Infrastructure Quarterly Report:

- Thermal Management Leads DCPI Growth: Thermal Management remained the fastest-growing segment, expanding more than 40 percent Y/Y and matching its record share of DCPI revenue. Liquid Cooling, led by Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC), and Heat Rejection—the chillers that reject heat outside the building—both outpaced the segment.

- UPS and Busway Track AI Buildout: UPS revenue grew about 20 percent Y/Y, with gains concentrated in large three-phase systems as AI data halls standardize on megawatt-class power blocks. Vendors are also moving toward medium-voltage designs and preparing for 800 VDC power architectures. Busway remained the preferred overhead power train for AI clusters, with supply, not demand, the binding constraint.

- Hyperscalers, Neoclouds, and Colocation Anchor Demand: Under the new customer structure, Colocation was the largest customer segment, followed by Hyperscalers. Other Cloud—home to the neoclouds and AI model builders—grew fastest, with AI-specialized cloud roughly doubling Y/Y. Enterprise continued to lose share. North America remained the market's center of gravity, while EMEA accelerated to its fastest growth since 2021 on European colocation and sovereign AI projects.

- Power and Cooling M&A Continues: Ecolab closed its acquisition of liquid cooling specialist CoolIT Systems in July. Vertiv agreed to acquire behind-the-meter power and microgrid provider UtilityInnovation Group, and SLB agreed to acquire heat-exchanger maker Kelvion, as suppliers push further into on-site power and heat rejection.

- Data Center Permitting Goes Statewide: Since the quarter closed, community opposition has turned into statewide policy. New York imposed the first statewide data center moratorium in July, and Pennsylvania removed data centers from its fast-track permitting program in August. Texas ordered an audit of data center projects in the ERCOT interconnection queue, delaying the first batch of large-load studies.

Dell'Oro Group's Data Center Physical Infrastructure quarterly report provides a complete overview of the Data Center Physical Infrastructure market. This covers market sizes and forecasts for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), thermal management (including heat rejection), cabinet power distribution and busway, rack power distribution, IT racks and containment, and software and services. Allocation of manufacturer revenues by hyperscaler, other cloud, colocation, telco, and enterprise customer segments is also provided. The report also shares insights into market trends, future outlook, and competitive landscape. For more information about the report, please contact us at [email protected].

Everyday Electric and Lennox are partnering to help address these challenges, integrating savings capabilities from Everyday Electric directly into Lennox smart thermostats. Expected to launch in 2027, eligible Lennox customers will be able to:

- Turn on features to automatically save on energy bills and earn utility rewards (where available) through subtle and personalized temperature adjustments when energy prices or demand are high, helping customers lower heating and cooling costs while staying comfortable.1

- Always stay in control by updating savings preferences or adjusting the temperature on the thermostat or Lennox Home app at any time.

- Access savings insights and recommendations in the Lennox Home app to understand how their smart thermostat is helping them save, and receive tailored recommendations for new opportunities.

"This partnership combines Lennox's leadership in HVAC efficiency with Everyday Electric's expertise in customer-centric energy savings," said Sarah Martin, EVP and President of Lennox Home Comfort Solutions. "Together, with our shared focus on customer experience, we are making it easier for households to reduce energy costs while staying comfortable, through adjustments that fit naturally into everyday life."

Through this integration, Lennox customers join more than 6 million households already benefiting from Everyday Electric's energy management and savings features. Lennox will extend the capabilities to new smart thermostat owners as well as to the more than 1 million Lennox smart thermostats already installed in homes today.

This comfort-first approach makes it easy for households to turn on savings adjustments that can help lower their energy bills, especially when it matters most. Each adjustment, when taken together, scales into power plant-sized capacity that can help lower costs for everyone.

"Lennox is one of the most trusted names in home comfort. Together we're helping customers save without asking them to do anything extra," said Ben Brown, CEO of Everyday Electric. "When you meet people where they are, keeping comfort intact and not asking them to compromise, that's when energy programs actually work for the households they're meant to serve. It's how we help more families save money and get rewarded for the value they're already creating for the grid."

The companies expect to begin rolling out integrated features through Lennox products in 2027.

Midwest retailer adds another convenient payment option for eligible shoppers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Meijer announced today it now accepts evermore over-the-counter (OTC) spend cards, expanding the ways eligible Medicare customers can use qualifying supplemental health plan benefits to purchase covered OTC products and other plan-approved items.

The new direct integration with evermore makes it easier for participating Medicare plan members to shop for approved health and wellness items at Meijer, including eligible OTC products and other items covered under their specific plan benefits.

"At Meijer, we are committed to helping customers take care of their health in convenient, affordable, and accessible ways," said Jackie Morse, Group Vice President of Pharmacy and Health at Meijer. "By accepting evermore OTC spend cards, we're giving eligible customers another simple way to use the benefits available through their health plans while shopping for the everyday essentials, healthy foods, and wellness products they need."

The integration comes as many Medicare Advantage plans continue to offer supplemental benefits that help seniors purchase approved items designed to support their health and well-being.
