Professional Golfers and Digital Creators Step into Front-Office Leadership for

Dallas Franchise in a First for the Grass League

DALLAS and TEMPE, Ariz., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dallas Horsemen and the Grass League announced today that professional golfers Alexis Miestowski and Marissa Wenzler have been named Co-General Managers of the Dallas franchise. The appointment marks the first women general managers in Grass League history.

Both have emerged as influential voices in the modern golf landscape as founding members of the Good Good Girls platform in 2025, one of the leading creator‑driven platforms in women's golf. Good Good Girls co-founders Yoonhee Kim and Hadley Walts will support Miestowski and Wenzler in their efforts to help strengthen the Horsemen's presence and impact across the league.

In their new roles, Miestowski and Wenzler will lead all franchise operations, player recruitment, roster management, and tournament pairings while serving as the primary public faces of the club. As women's sports continue to experience unprecedented growth in participation, viewership, and investment, the Horsemen are positioning themselves at the forefront of that momentum — building a franchise where women lead, compete, and define the team's identity.

"Alexis and Marissa taking the reins in Dallas further solidifies the inclusiveness of the Grass League," said Jason Pritchett, Grass League Commissioner. "Los Angeles Roses 2025 Grass League Champion Gabi Ruffels showed women can win here. Now two women are not only playing but running the franchise."

Both bring established competitive resumes and prominent national profiles to the Horsemen front office. Miestowski, a Schererville, Indiana native, competed collegiately at Indiana University before transitioning to the professional ranks on the Epson Tour. Wenzler, from Dayton, Ohio, concluded a standout collegiate career at the University of Kentucky in 2024 before turning professional and competing on developmental tours. Kim, originally from Seoul and now based in Southern California, has built a strong competitive and creator presence across women's golf. Walts, from Columbus, Ohio, brings a background in collegiate golf and a rapidly growing national profile.

"We loved competing for the Horsemen, and stepping into the front office gives us the chance to shape the identity of this team," said Miestowski and Wenzler. "The Grass League has made one thing obvious: fans want intense, high‑stakes golf — and women can lead that charge. We're here to build a roster that performs well, set a culture that reflects the League's energy, and collect trophies for Dallas."

Miestowski and Wenzler have paired up as teammates for the Horsemen across multiple Grass League events, giving them firsthand knowledge of the league's high-stakes, two-person scramble play.

"Alexis and Marissa know how this format works because they've played it under pressure," said the Dallas Horsemen Ownership Group. "They understand what it takes to build a competitive roster, they have the respect of players across the country, and they match the personality of this team. Handing them the keys is the right move to build a winning club that Dallas can rally around."

The move highlights the Grass League's open-access model, where elite men and women compete on the same stage under equal rules.

"Alexis and Marissa taking the helm of the Dallas Horsemen ushers in a new era for the franchise and creates an opportunity to bring female talent into the Grass League in a big way," said Jake Hoselton, Co-Founder and CEO of the Grass League. "They're both golfers and fierce competitors, and seeing that competitive spirit translate from the course to the business and leadership side of a franchise only adds to what makes the Grass League such a compelling platform."

NEROS AWARDED $100 MILLION ORDER THROUGH DRONE DOMINANCE GAUNTLET II

Neros receives order for 14,000 drones and explosive payloads after placing #1 in Close Quarters Battle and #3 in Deep Strike missions

TORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Neros has announced an order of 14,000 drones and explosive payloads through the Drone Dominance Program's Gauntlet II valued at over $100 million.

Through this award, the Department of War is prioritizing procurement of Archer AI, Neros' flagship autonomy-enabled 10" drone, built with Terminal Guidance functionality that allows the drone to fly itself to an operator-selected target, a critical feature in the comms-denied environments military operators face today. The department is also placing significant order volume for Archer 5" systems, Neros' smaller variant of Archer optimized for close quarters battle scenarios in urban and indoor settings.

"We've developed our Archer FPV system to be highly modular and easily adapted to end user needs. Pairing real warfighter feedback with our deep engineering talent is the reason Neros is the only manufacturer to have placed in the top three across two fundamentally different mission sets –deep strike and close quarters battle – with the same drone platform.

Ultimately, Drone Dominance is a test of two things: can competitors build high performance drones? And can they produce them in massive quantities with short notice? We're the only manufacturer to receive multiple bonus awards for Gauntlet I based on our delivery speed – and we're ready to fulfill this next batch of 14,000 drones, and more whenever the Department of War signals need for them."

— Soren Monroe-Anderson, CEO, Neros

In addition to this 14,000 drone order for Gauntlet II, Neros has received a second bonus order related to Gauntlet I for an additional 800 drones, reallocated from other competitors who could not meet the production deadline for their orders.

Gauntlet II also marks the first mass shipment of Neros APEX-enabled drones. APEX, short for Adaptive Payload Exchange, is an open-source and low cost standard for modular payload integration on small drones. Introduced by Neros, APEX is designed for simplicity, flexibility, and manufacturability – so that military operators can easily swap conventional, fiber, repeater, and future developed payloads in the field in real time.

About Neros

Neros Technologies designs and manufactures FPV drone systems for defense applications, and has major contracts with the Army, Marine Corps, as well as contracts with every component of SOCOM and half a dozen allied countries. They are rapidly scaling America's drone industrial base through a resilient, adversary-free supply chain.

In HelloNation, Real Estate Expert Erica Chouinard Breaks Down Home Pricing Strategy for Denver Sellers
Image File

A HelloNation Article Reviews How Comparable Sales and Buyer Demand Shape an Effective Home Pricing Strategy.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- How should sellers price a home in today's Denver market? A HelloNation article addresses this question, walking through the research behind an effective home pricing strategy for current conditions.

The article explains that a sound home pricing strategy is not about choosing the highest number possible, since an overpriced home can discourage buyers before a showing.

Instead, the piece notes, sellers need to understand current buyer demand and how it relates to their specific property.

Demand can shift quickly depending on interest rates, seasonal trends, and overall inventory levels, according to the article.

Recent comparable sales are described as one of the clearest signals of true market value, since they reflect homes similar in size and condition that recently sold.

According to the article, reviewing this data helps sellers understand what buyers are actually willing to pay right now.

It also reveals how quickly similar homes are moving off the market, the piece adds.

Inventory levels matter as well, the piece explains, because fewer available homes often allow buyers to compete more actively for a listing.

When more homes are on the market, the article notes, an accurate home pricing strategy becomes even more important for standing out.

The piece points out that a carefully researched price attracts more qualified buyers from the very start and encourages stronger offers.

Erica Chouinard, a Real Estate Expert, is featured in the article discussing how condition, upgrades, and location all shift where a home should be priced.

These details often make a meaningful difference in final value compared to similar properties nearby, the article explains.

Timing is also addressed in the piece, which explains that a home listed during a high-demand season may support a different price than one listed later.

The article adds that sellers should watch how long similar homes stay on the market, since a shorter timeline often signals stronger demand.

A listing that lingers for months, the piece explains, can attract lower offers even after a price reduction, since buyers may assume something is wrong.

The article recommends an accurate price from the first day on the market, since first impressions matter in a competitive environment.

According to the piece, interest rate changes, local employment trends, and shifts in buyer demand can alter market behavior from one season to the next.

As a Real Estate Expert who works closely with Denver area sellers, Erica Chouinard's perspective informs much of the discussion in the article.

The article concludes that pricing a home well requires balancing data with a realistic understanding of buyer psychology.

A home priced accurately from the beginning tends to sell faster and closer to its original asking price, the piece explains.

Sellers who understand today's conditions make more confident decisions from listing through closing, according to the article.

Sellers who review comparable sales, inventory trends, and demand patterns, the piece notes, tend to see a smoother and more successful sale.

Smart Pricing Strategies for Denver Sellers Today features insights from Erica Chouinard, Real Estate Expert of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, in HelloNation.

Midmark RTLS expands Epic Toolbox presence with CareFlow RTLS Staff Duress

Healthcare organizations can now bring real-time, location-aware staff duress alerts into the clinical workflows caregivers already use, helping strengthen caregiver safety and emergency response.

VERSAILLES, Ohio, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Midmark RTLS, a leading real-time locating system (RTLS) technology provider focused on clinical workflow solutions and data insights that improve the delivery of care, today announced that its staff safety solution, CareFlow RTLS Staff Duress, has joined the Epic Toolbox in the Staff Duress category for 2026, expanding Midmark's portfolio of Epic-integrated workflow solutions.

The designation reflects Midmark's commitment to connected clinical workflows and provides healthcare organizations with an integrated staff safety solution that helps security teams respond more quickly during workplace violence events.

Designed to work within the clinical workflows caregivers already use, CareFlow Staff Duress integrates with Epic using HL7 FHIR-based APIs, enabling Midmark RTLS badges to send real-time, location-aware staff duress alerts directly into Epic. With the discreet press of a badge button, caregivers can quickly request assistance while providing responders with critical information about who needs help and where they are located—helping accelerate response during workplace violence events.

When a caregiver activates a staff duress alert via their badge, Epic receives the staff member's identity and real-time location from CareFlow RTLS. Epic then notifies designated security response and informational groups through its push notification framework, helping teams quickly assess, coordinate and respond to the situation. Responders can also acknowledge or decline alerts directly within Epic, supporting a more efficient and connected emergency response workflow.

"Protecting caregivers requires more than a panic button—it requires connected technology that delivers the right information to the right people at the right time," said HT Snowday, senior director at Midmark RTLS. "Joining the Epic Toolbox with CareFlow Staff Duress helps healthcare organizations integrate staff safety into the clinical workflows caregivers already use, bringing real-time, location-aware duress alerts into Epic to enable faster, more informed emergency response."

Unlike standalone panic button solutions, CareFlow Staff Duress leverages the same RTLS badges many caregivers already wear for workflow automation and clinical communication, eliminating the need for additional devices while providing responders with the real-time location information needed to act quickly during an emergency.

CareFlow RTLS Staff Duress offers several key advantages:

- One badge, multiple workflows: Uses the same Midmark RTLS badge for staff safety and clinical workflow automation within Epic, reducing device burden for caregivers.

- Integrated workflows: Delivers real-time, location-aware staff duress alerts directly into Epic, helping accelerate emergency response.

- Actionable location intelligence: Provides responders with real-time information about who needs help and where they are located.

- Flexible deployment: Supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Infrared (IR) and Hybrid RTLS technologies, allowing healthcare organizations to leverage existing RTLS investments, start with easy-to-deploy BLE or adopt a hybrid RTLS approach to deliver the right level of location certainty where it matters most.

The addition of CareFlow Staff Duress to the Epic Toolbox marks the next step in the long-standing relationship between Midmark RTLS and Epic and reinforces the company's commitment to delivering interoperable solutions that help healthcare organizations improve caregiver safety, streamline clinical workflows and enhance the delivery of care. Since the first CareFlow RTLS-Epic integration was deployed in 2012, Midmark RTLS has continued to expand its Epic integrations to support real-time location visibility, patient flow, workflow automation and now integrated staff safety—bringing critical workflows together within the systems caregivers already use every day.

The Future of Pet Ownership: How Rising Costs Are Shaping Budgets
Image File
Original HTML

New research fromHealthy Paws Pet Insurance andMoney.comfinds Gen Z owners are twice as likely as Baby Boomers to have pet insurance — and suggests that awareness, not affordability, is the biggest barrier to broader adoption.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rising veterinary costs are reshaping who can afford to own a pet in America — and how younger generations plan for it. That's according to the third installment of a year-long research series from Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and Money.com, which has surveyed more than 3,000 U.S. pet owners in 2026 to track how the economics of pet ownership are shifting.

The new study finds that 45% of Gen Z pet owners spent $2,000 or more on their pet last year, compared with just 15% of Baby Boomers. Rather than being priced out, many younger owners are responding by treating pet ownership as a financial-planning decision from the start — budgeting, saving and insuring earlier than previous generations did.

"Across all three of our studies this year, one theme has held constant: the cost of caring for a pet has fundamentally changed, and it's changing who feels equipped to take one on," said Mike Ayers, executive editor of Money. "What's new in this data is generational. Younger owners aren't walking away from pet ownership because of cost — they're planning around it in ways older generations never had to."

The findings follow two earlier 2026 studies from Healthy Paws and Money.com: Soaring Pet Costs Are Pushing Household Budgets to the Limit, which found the average pet owner now spends more than $4,000 a year on routine care, and Love vs. Limits: The New Economics of Pet Care, which found that 76% of owners have a cost threshold at which they'd decline recommended veterinary treatment. Together, the three studies form the most comprehensive look to date at how rising vet costs are reshaping pet ownership in the U.S.

Key statistics at a glance

- 45% of Gen Z pet owners spent $2,000 or more on their pet last year, compared with 15% of Baby Boomers.

- 28% of Gen Z owners say pet ownership has influenced their financial planning or savings goals, compared with 10% of Baby Boomers.

- About half of Gen Z owners currently have pet insurance, compared with roughly 1 in 10 Baby Boomers.

- 56% of Gen Z feel financially prepared for a serious illness or end-of-life vet bill, compared with 36% of Gen X and Baby Boomers.

- Only 18% of uninsured Gen Z owners cite cost as the reason they lack coverage — compared with 41% of Baby Boomers — while 22% didn't know pet insurance existed and 28% simply hadn't gotten around to it.

- 60% of all pet owners say pet ownership is becoming a luxury that lower-income households can't afford.

- 55% of pet owners say rising costs have made them less likely to get another pet, rising to 61% of Millennials.

Pets are becoming a financial-planning priority for young owners

Younger generations are increasingly treating pet ownership less like a spontaneous addition to the household and more like a recurring line item that requires advance planning.

Gen Z owners are nearly three times as likely as Baby Boomers to say owning a pet has shaped their broader financial planning or savings goals (28% vs. 10%). That planning mindset shows up in how prepared they feel for a worst-case scenario: 56% of Gen Z owners say they feel financially prepared for a serious illness or end-of-life cost for their pet, compared with 36% of Gen X and Baby Boomer owners. Nearly a quarter of Gen Z owners describe themselves as "very prepared," with savings or insurance specifically set aside for that purpose.

Pet insurance adoption tells a similar story. About half of Gen Z pet owners currently carry a policy, compared with roughly 1 in 10 Baby Boomers — a gap that suggests insurance has become a default consideration for younger owners in a way it never was for previous generations.

Insurance changes both affordability and treatment decisions

The data suggests coverage does more than reduce out-of-pocket costs — it changes the decisions owners are willing to make at the vet's office.

Among currently insured owners, 72% feel prepared for a serious pet-health expense, and 70% of current or former policyholders say insurance covered at least part of their most recent significant vet bill. Perhaps most notably, 47% of currently insured owners say they would pursue every recommended treatment regardless of cost — roughly double the 24% of owners who have never had insurance who say the same. Gen Z owners are more likely than older generations to say they'd pursue all recommended care, regardless of insurance status.

Why don't more young pet owners have pet insurance?

Conventional wisdom suggests cost is the main obstacle keeping younger, often lower-income pet owners from buying insurance. This study finds otherwise: for Gen Z, the bigger barrier appears to be awareness, not affordability.

Among uninsured Gen Z pet owners, 22% say they simply didn't know pet insurance existed, and another 28% say they haven't gotten around to considering it. Only 18% cite expensive premiums as their reason for going without coverage — compared with 41% of Baby Boomers, for whom cost is the dominant barrier.

That gap may be closing quickly: 39% of uninsured Gen Z owners say they're likely to buy a policy within the next year, compared with just 16% of Baby Boomers.

Methodology

All three surveys here were conducted by Morning Consult on behalf of Money.com and Healthy Paws Pet Insurance between January and March 2026, among a national sample of 3,132 U.S. dog and cat owners across the surveys. Respondents were required to own at least one dog or cat to qualify for participation. Data was weighted to be representative of U.S. dog and cat owners based on key demographic factors, including generation. Results have a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.

This is the third study in a 2026 research series from Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and Money.com examining the economics of U.S. pet ownership. Read the first two installments: Soaring Pet Costs Are Pushing Household Budgets to the Limit and Love vs. Limits: The New Economics of Pet Care.

Kong Announces Volcano: Agentic Infrastructure for the AI Era
Image File
Original HTML

New AI-native platform gives developers a unified foundation to build, deploy and operate AI agents and modern web applications

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kong Inc., the AI Connectivity Company, today announced Volcano, a new AI-native platform designed to give developers the infrastructure they need to build, deploy and operate AI agents and modern web applications. Volcano brings durable compute, branchable databases, file storage, user authentication, and real-time services together in one developer-friendly platform, providing a unified foundation for the AI era. The availability for sandboxing compute will follow shortly after this announcement.

"Volcano allows us to build in the AI era with a platform that is truly 'batteries included,'" said Marco Palladino, CTO and co-founder, Kong Inc. "Developers shouldn't have to stitch together infrastructure to turn an AI agent into a production application. We're bringing those capabilities together in one platform so developers can focus on building the experiences and applications of the future, rather than managing the infrastructure underneath them."

Volcano ships with first class integrations with popular agentic coding tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Cursor. "With Volcano we can go from zero to running an agent in production in one prompt," added Palladino.

Building an agent requires more than a model call. Agents need durable compute to execute, databases to remember, authentication to safely interact with users, storage to access files, workflows to coordinate tasks and observability to understand what is happening in production. Today, most developers assemble those pieces from separate providers, each with its own configuration, billing and failure modes. Volcano brings them together in one unified platform so teams can build applications and agents without needing to piece together infrastructure from multiple providers, thus greatly reducing complexity.

Key features include:

- Durable workflows and jobs: Create durable workflows for agents and applications, schedule jobs and ensure execution with built-in leader election.

- Branchable PostgreSQL databases: Provision PostgreSQL databases in seconds, with built-in backups and vector support for AI workloads, including branches.

- Edge Functions: Run code and AI agents at the edge across multiple regions and languages, with built-in autoscaling and geofencing for data-sensitive workloads.

- Frontend hosting: Deploy Next.js applications globally through Volcano's CDN, with built-in DDoS protection for agents and applications that need a UI.

- Authentication and SSO as a service: Add authentication to applications and agents with unlimited users and monthly active users, third-party SSO support, and anonymous signups built in.

- Real-time services: Listen for database events and coordinate applications and agents through real-time messaging, broadcast and presence tracking. Also useful for multi-agent coordination in real-time.

- Global file storage: Store application and agent files on Volcano's global CDN with configurable access policies.

- Locks, Queues and Human Approvals: Build single and multi-crew agents with advanced coordination and processing with optional human approvals where needed.

Volcano is compatible with the broader Kong Konnect platform, for enterprise governance at scale of AI agents and AI connectivity.

Through Volcano, Kong will continue expanding its cloud services for developers and AI builders, with additional capabilities planned across compute, data, application services and agent infrastructure.

Note: The Volcano announced today is a new product and is separate from the VolcanoSDK announced in 2025.

Whop Introduces Economic Intelligence For Businesses To Earn Money Faster With One Click
Image File
Original HTML

New intelligence layer uses a proprietary decision making system to recommend and direct execution of the most optimal path to the next dollar

NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Whop, the company building the first end-to-end API for running a business, today introduced Economic Intelligence, an intelligence layer that uses context from millions of transactions on the platform to recommend and drive the next action an individual operator can take to grow. By answering 'what's next' for each individual business, the path to the next optimal dollar is fast and clear.

Recommended actions appear as buttons in the Whop dashboard. With a single click, Economic Intelligence creates a complex prompt to be sent to Whop AI or the operator's preferred agent. The front end makes the action simple, while Whop's API connects the agent to the business functions needed to complete it. The system curates recommendations by noting an operator's current business status and suggests a specific action based on pattern-matching data from the platform's $6.6B in annual commerce. Recommendations can include changing a product's price, launching an ad campaign, building a website, creating a recurring weekly customer message, improving a sales funnel, or retargeting customers to reduce churn.

"Every business owner wants to make money in a fast and easy way," said Ishan Garg, Head of Engineering at Whop. "With Economic Intelligence, we're making it easier to do just that by coding in suggestions on how to do the next logical thing for a business. We can marry agentic actions with Whop's data to unlock more value for people building businesses."

Economic Intelligence is designed as a reinforcing learning system and decision-making model that outputs an economic action rather than text. Whop's Economic Intelligence can evaluate whether a recommended action led to revenue through ledger activity, providing a verifiable signal of money earned or not earned. That feedback can help the system learn which actions work for different businesses and deliver stronger recommendations over time.

In beta testing, more than fourteen thousand businesses tried the new product. On average, the businesses experienced notable sales growth when using Economic Intelligence for one month, compared to the month prior without the use of Economic Intelligence: combined sales grew 31.8%, unique paying customers grew 26.3%, and transaction count grew 26.5%.

Whop's mission is to deliver everyone a sustainable income. Economic Intelligence extends the ways businesses can build their ventures and earn more, faster on Whop. It adds to the end-to-end API platform's existing offerings, including Whop CLI and MCP, Whop Cards, recent integrations with SpaceXAI and more. Looking ahead, Whop plans to expand the actions available through Economic Intelligence, bringing more of the work required to run and grow a business into a single click.
