CHICAGO, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziegler, a specialty investment bank, is pleased to announce the successful closing of Lourdes Senior Community's $32,453,000 Series 2026 financing, consisting of $14,453,000 Series 2026A Refunding Revenue Bonds and $18,000,000 Series 2026B Bank Draw Down Bonds (collectively, the "Series 2026 Bonds"), for the Senior Living Finance Practice.

Lourdes Senior Community (Lourdes) is a single-site, not-for-profit senior living community in Waterford, Michigan, that has served older adults and their families since 1965. Located on a 38-acre lakefront campus in Oakland County, Lourdes provides a full continuum of care. The community consists of 55 independent living units at Fox Manor on the Lake, six independent living villas, 60 assisted living units at Joseph T. Mendelson, 20 memory care units at Clausen Manor, and 80 skilled nursing beds at the Lourdes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, for a total of 221 units and beds. The campus is also home to a 15-room inpatient hospice center operated by Angela Hospice, further enhancing the continuum of services available to residents and the surrounding community.

Lourdes is operated by Dominican Health Care Corporation and is sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of Peace. The community is governed by a board of directors and operates as a nonprofit organization, with its continuum spanning independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled rehabilitation, and long-term nursing care.

Proceeds of the Series 2026 Bonds will be used to refinance Lourdes' outstanding Series 2019 Bonds as well as finance the construction of a new 60-unit independent living building. The Series 2026 Bonds were structured as a tax-exempt direct placement with WesBanco with a 100% swap. The Series 2026 Bonds have a 10-year bank credit commitment period through September 1, 2026 and have a final maturity of September 1, 2046. Ziegler acted as both the placement agent and swap advisor, shepherding the proposal to ensure competitive, on-market terms for Lourdes.

Tom Meyers, Senior Managing Director in Ziegler's Senior Living Finance Practice said, "Despite heightened market volatility and an increasingly uncertain interest rate environment, Lourdes was able to secure strong financing terms that reflect the strength of its mission-driven management team and organization. Ziegler was pleased to help Lourdes secure a competitive and customized financing solution with WesBanco, including a tailored interest rate hedge designed to meet Lourdes' specific needs. We are honored to have had the opportunity to serve Lourdes for the third time and are grateful for the continued trust they have placed in Ziegler."

Rich Acho, President and CEO of Lourdes Senior Community added, "We are incredibly excited to reach this important milestone as we prepare to begin construction of our new independent living building next month. As the Baby Boomer generation continues to drive growing demand for high-quality senior living, this project allows Lourdes to expand our mission and ministry to serve more older adults for generations to come. We are thankful to the Ziegler team for their expertise in structuring a financing in today's interest-rate environment that positions Lourdes for long-term financial strength."

Dressings and Sauces Manufacturers Nominate Laminar for the 2026 ADS Supplier Partner of the Year Award

The physical AI startup's Process-Aware Autonomy is nominated in the Equipment and Service category by the ADS manufacturer members running Laminar Clean-in-Place models to improve productivity and sustainability

BOSTON, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Laminar, creator of Process-Aware Autonomy — the foundation that makes self-driving factories possible, today announced its nomination for the 2026 Supplier Partner of the Year Award in the Equipment and Service category by The Association for Dressings and Sauces (ADS). The nomination was submitted by ADS manufacturer member companies and announced in advance of the ADS Annual Business Forum, held October 4-6th, 2026 in Philadelphia, where winners will be named.

The award recognizes supplier members who have elevated themselves as true partners through equipment and service, embedding in plant operations and solving problems on the production floor.

"A dressings and sauces line can run dozens of formulations, and every switch means a full clean," said Annie Lu, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Laminar. "Those cleans run to a fixed recipe, so they take longer and use more water and chemicals than the line actually needs. In a plant running around the clock, every minute spent cleaning is a minute not producing. This nomination by the manufacturers themselves tells us Process-Aware Autonomy solves a real problem in addition to delivering improvements for both productivity and sustainability."

Laminar works with dressings and sauces manufacturers of every size, from regional co-manufacturers to global brands. Laminar's Process-Aware Autonomy connects to the control systems a plant already owns: advanced, inline sensors on existing pipework measure what flows through the line in real time, the models reason about the real-time chemistry against the optimal process state as it happens, and a cleaning cycle advances when the line reads clean instead of when a timer runs out.

The nomination by ADS members recognizes Laminar's work to move the Dressings and Sauce industry forward. Laminar engineers commission on site, tune models to each line's own formulations and residues, and train operators and sanitation teams to read the data themselves instead of waiting on a report. Savings are verified cycle by cycle, so a plant can see what changed and why.

Operators urgently need Laminar's category defining approach to transform static processes into dynamic ones. Dressings, condiments, and sauces run high SKU counts on shared lines, which means frequent changeovers and a clean between nearly every one of them. Many of those changeovers cross allergens, so cleaning validation is not optional. Water and energy use now carry reporting obligations alongside cost. The cleaning cycle is where cost, capacity, and compliance all meet — and where timer-based recipes, waste time, labor, and utilities. Consequently, changeovers and CIP see the strongest savings from transformation to self-driving with Laminar.

Laminar Process-Aware Autonomy

Laminar is a pioneer in Physical AI for process manufacturing, enabling operators to unlock more productive and sustainable production lines. The startup's Process-Aware Autonomy converts inefficient, pre-programmed automation to dynamic, self-driving processes that save time, chemicals, energy, and water — ultimately powering factories that are more agile and more resilient.

- Process-Aware Sensors: Patented, inline sensors retrofit easily into existing infrastructure and generate a unique, digital fingerprint of what's flowing inside the pipe in real-time.

- Process-Aware AI: Factory-proven, foundational ML models interpret the digital fingerprints in the context of a specific manufacturing process to determine the current process state and autonomously drive the optimal next action.

- Process-Aware Insights: Laminar's trust layer that transforms millions of historical, real-time, and predictive process measurements into explainable decisions, verified savings, and actionable opportunities so operators can confidently run the best version of their factory.

Laminar Proven at Scale

Laminar is deployed on hundreds of lines across six continents, including with seven of the ten largest global food and beverage companies — among them AB InBev, Coca-Cola, and Unilever. Across those deployments, Laminar has measured an average of 20% less chemical use, 20% less water per cycle, and cycles running 15% faster. At Unilever's Poznań facility, Laminar saved more than €100,000 annually on each of two lines.

Laminar Industry recognition

The ADS nomination adds to recognition from some of the industry's most demanding institutions. Laminar received the 2026 FoodTech Innovation Award and the 2026 Edison Gold Award in Manufacturing and Logistics, and was named AB InBev's 2024 Cheers Award winner for outstanding startup partnership and Unilever's 2023 Supplier Startup of the Year. Laminar is a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and is deployed in WEF Lighthouse factories, a select group recognized for leadership in advanced industrial technology.

Headquartered at Greentown Labs in Somerville, MA — North America's leading cleantech community, Laminar is a woman-founded startup backed by top-tier investors, including Greycroft, Construct Capital, 2048 Ventures, and Flybridge Capital.

About ADS

The Association for Dressings and Sauces (ADS) was founded in 1926 and represents manufacturers of salad dressing, mayonnaise and condiment sauces and suppliers of raw materials, packaging and equipment to this segment of the food industry. Its purpose is to serve the best interests of industry members, its customers, and consumers of its products.

About Laminar

Laminar's Process Aware Autonomy is an entirely new category of Physical AI reinventing how leading process manufacturers run more productive, sustainable factories. Our patented, inline sensors measure real-time fluid conditions in every production process, informing our factory-proven, foundational Process-Aware Models that interpret process states to drive optimal decisions that maintain quality standards and reduce waste. The Laminar Insights Platform serves as our trust layer for AI decision making and delivers real-time visibility into the time, water, chemical, and energy saved across every cycle, line, and facility. Across six continents, leading manufacturers like AB InBev, Coca-Cola, and Unilever trust Laminar to run their most critical processes and realize self-driving factories. New ANSI and America Makes Resources Help Industry Navigate Additive Manufacturing Standards

Tools give manufacturers, regulators, and researchers a clearer view of the standards behind safe, consistent 3D-printed parts—and where work remains

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Additive manufacturing (AM) is changing how the world makes everything from heart valves to jet engine components. Standards are what allow these innovations to move from prototype to production — safely and at scale. Today, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and America Makes launched two new resources to make AM standards easier to find and track: a searchable online standards database and the September 2026 Gaps Progress Report. Both come from the Additive Manufacturing Standardization Collaborative (AMSC), jointly led by ANSI and America Makes.

As AM moves into aerospace, medical devices, automotive, and defense, manufacturers, regulators, and customers need to know that parts made by different companies, on different machines, will perform consistently and safely. The new database and progress report show what standards exist today, what is underway, and where gaps remain—so industry can put existing solutions to work and focus effort where it's needed most.

Additive Manufacturing Standards Database: A New Way to Navigate the AM Standards Landscape

The new Additive Manufacturing Standards Database, hosted on the ANSI website, helps users quickly identify existing standards activity across the AM lifecycle, industry sectors, and standards developing organizations. Users can search by keyword or sort and filter results by material, process, standard type, and other criteria. Access is free after completing a brief online form, and the database will be updated regularly.

The database draws on input to the AMSC roadmap and gaps progress reports, public calls for comment, and research into publicly available information, including standards developers' work programs.

Tracking Progress on Standardization Gaps

The September 2026 Gaps Progress Report provides updates on five of the 141 standardization gaps identified in the AMSC's Standardization Roadmap for Additive Manufacturing, Version 3.0—a foundational document developed with input from approximately 300 experts across federal agencies, national laboratories, standards developing organizations, industry, and academia. The update identified no new gaps.

The progress report is a living document. It will be updated and republished periodically as standards work advances, until the AMSC publishes the next version of its roadmap. The next progress report is anticipated in April 2027.

"Additive manufacturing is moving fast, and the standards that support it have to keep pace," said Christine Bernat, director of standards facilitation at ANSI. "Through the AMSC, we're bringing the AM community together to see the full picture—what's in place, what's in progress, and where to focus next."

About the AMSC

The AMSC is a cross-sector coordinating body that accelerates the development of industry-wide additive manufacturing standards and specifications, working to align efforts across stakeholders so the AM industry can grow with confidence.

To receive future updates, suggest edits, or get involved in AMSC activities, indicate interest when accessing the report or email [email protected]. For more information, visit www.ansi.org/amsc.

Spacelift governs AI-assisted infrastructure changes with policy-as-code, approval gates and complete audit history across Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi and Kubernetes.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Spacelift, the infrastructure orchestration company, today announced it has been named a finalist in SiliconANGLE's 2026 TechForward Awards in the AI-Driven Cloud Infrastructure category.

Spacelift applies the same controls to AI-assisted infrastructure that govern traditional IaC pipelines: policy-as-code through Open Policy Agent, role-based access control, approval gates, drift detection, and a complete audit history of what ran and who changed it.

"AI changed how fast developers ask for infrastructure, and platform teams absorbed all of it," said Pawel Hytry, chief executive officer and co-founder of Spacelift. "Speed only helps if policy, approvals, and an audit trail arrive with it. That's what we've built for."

The TechForward Awards recognize the technologies and solutions driving business forward. As the trusted voice of enterprise and emerging tech, SiliconANGLE applies a rigorous editorial lens to highlight innovations reshaping how businesses operate in our rapidly changing landscape. This awards program honors both established enterprise solutions and breakthrough technologies defining the future of business, spanning AI innovation, security excellence, cloud transformation, data platform evolution and blockchain/crypto tech. Spacelift was selected from a competitive field of nominees by a panel of industry experts and technology leaders.

"Congratulations to this year's finalists," said Dave Vellante, co-founder and co-CEO of SiliconANGLE Media. "Every company on this list earned its place through customer results including renewal rates, expansion revenue and direct feedback from the individuals using these products daily. Our judges evaluate that evidence when deciding who deserves this recognition."

Spacelift, headquartered in Redwood City, California, was founded in 2020 and has raised $82.3 million in venture funding. Spacelift is also a major contributor to the platform engineering community as a founder and major contributor to OpenTofu and as the founder of IaCConf, the leading vendor-neutral IaC conference.

Two Institutions, One Shared Mission

While APU and APU Global now share a unified brand presence, they remain two distinct, independently accredited institutions. Each institution maintains its own leadership, academic governance, faculty handbooks, and operating structures.

The partnership is grounded in a shared commitment to providing a Christ-centered, faith-integrated educational experience.

"Our God First mission will guide this partnership, ensuring we continue to deliver a top Christ-centered education to the students we serve," Morris said.

A Clearer Path for Online Learners

APU Global serves students seeking a fully online education through asynchronous learning designed to provide flexibility for working adults and learners wherever they are located. For current LAPU students, the transition to APU Global is seamless, allowing them to continue their day-to-day educational experience without disruption. Students continue taking their online courses, receiving support from dedicated faculty and staff, and progressing toward their degrees as planned.
