LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY ENDORSES NO ON MEASURE BB

County Democrats join Inglewood leaders in rejecting the "Billionaires' Bailout" and backing a fair share from the region's largest venues

INGLEWOOD, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Los Angeles County Democratic Party has voted to endorse NO on Measure BB on Inglewood's November 3, 2026 ballot. The endorsement puts the county's largest political organization alongside Housing Commissioner Keokia Childress, Planning Commissioner Cheryl Williams, Mayor James T. Butts, community leader Joe Bowers, community advocate Carol Raines-Brown, and faith leaders including Dr. Bishop Johnny J. Young PhD of Miracle Temple Church of God Pentecostal, all of whom have urged Inglewood voters to fill in both bubbles: NO on BB.

Measure BB was placed on the ballot by billionaire stadium interests through a committee sponsored by local sports and entertainment venues. It would end the City of Inglewood's authority to earn revenue from advertising on public property, roughly $8 million a year that currently funds public safety, parks, senior programs and street repairs. The billboards themselves would not come down; only the city's revenue would disappear.

"Measure BB doesn't treat every billboard the same," said Oliver Unaka, campaign manager for Inglewood Residents for Stadium Accountability. "The stadiums' giant screens stay lit while the city's funding goes dark. That is why we call it the Billionaires' Bailout, and that is why Democrats across Los Angeles County are saying NO."

"We are grateful to the Los Angeles County Democratic Party for standing with Inglewood," Unaka said. "This endorsement joins our mayor, our council and school board candidates, our pastors and our neighbors. It shows that NO on BB is not a campaign's position; it is the choice of this community and the leaders this community trusts. Inglewood deserves its fair share, and the decision is not just about billboards or ticket taxes. It is about whether our community keeps the resources to stay safe and strong."

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- State Controller Malia M. Cohen today announced that applications for property tax deferment are now being processed.

The California's Property Tax Postponement (PTP) Program, administered by Controller Cohen, allows eligible homeowners who are seniors, blind, or have a disability to delay payment of property taxes on their primary residence.

"Owning a home provides stability, security, and a sense of community, but keeping up with housing costs can be difficult. The Property Tax Postponement Program is here to help eligible seniors and Californians with disabilities manage their current year property tax," said Controller Cohen.

Last year, eligible homeowners postponed almost $7.7 million in residential property taxes.

To qualify for the PTP Program this tax year, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Participants must reapply each year and demonstrate they continue to meet eligibility requirements. When an applicant is approved, a lien will be placed on the real property or a security agreement will be filed with the Department of Housing and Community Development for a manufactured home, until the account is paid in full.

Funding for the PTP Program is limited. Applications will be processed in the order they are received, beginning October 1, 2026. The final filing deadline for the current tax year is February 10, 2027.

Applications and additional program details can be found, by calling (800) 952-5661, or emailing [email protected].

Property owners affected by California fires or other California disasters may be eligible for another tax relief program that allows for reappraisal of damaged or destroyed property. For more information on this program, visit the California Board of Equalization's disaster relief website.

DOOR (OTC: LTCH) Resolves Final Legacy Matter, Completing Four-Year Turnaround of Its Financial Reporting and Legal Obligations

SEC settlement follows the filing of seven years of financial statements and resolution of four shareholder lawsuits; Company refocuses fully on profitability.

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DOOR (OTC: LTCH), today announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") has approved the Company's previously disclosed settlement, resolving the SEC's investigation. The investigation concerned legacy practices related to the Company's key performance indicators, revenue recognition practices, and related issues. The settlement resolves the last of the major legacy matters that commenced in 2022.

Under the settlement, the Company agreed to pay a $1.0 million civil monetary penalty in quarterly installments and consented to the entry of an administrative order, without admitting or denying the SEC's findings in the order. DOOR first disclosed the settlement in principle on August 10, 2026.

The settlement caps a four-year effort to resolve legacy issues that began in 2022. Since late 2024, DOOR has:

- Filed seven years of financial statements, including restated prior periods, and became current with its SEC reporting obligations in February 2026 for the first time since mid-2022

- Resolved four shareholder lawsuits, the last of which was settled in principle in August 2026

- Reached final resolution with the SEC

"When our team took over, we inherited a restatement, four major securities lawsuits and an SEC investigation," said David Lillis, Chief Executive Officer of DOOR. "Resolving them took years of work and significant resources. With this final matter behind us, those resources go back to where they belong: helping owners and operators run smarter buildings. We're grateful to our customers, partners and team for sticking with us."

The article explains how addressing mold and moisture problems helps protect homes, indoor air quality, and structural integrity.

ROGERS, Ark., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- HelloNation Article Explains Professional Mold Remediation, Featuring Damage Restoration Expert Chad Haynes

The article explains how addressing mold and moisture problems helps protect homes, indoor air quality, and structural integrity.

What is professional mold remediation, and why is it important for homeowners?

HelloNation has published an article that answers this question by explaining how professional mold remediation helps address mold growth, identify hidden moisture problems, and reduce the risk of future damage. The article features insights from Damage Restoration Expert Chad Haynes of 911 Restoration of Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas, and outlines why a complete remediation process goes beyond simply cleaning visible mold.

The HelloNation article explains that mold often signals a larger moisture problem, not an isolated issue. While stains or discoloration on walls and ceilings may be the first visible warning, mold frequently develops behind drywall, beneath flooring, or inside insulation where it cannot be easily seen. The article notes that surface cleaning alone may remove visible mold without resolving the underlying conditions that allow mold growth to continue.

According to the article, the first step in professional mold remediation is to identify and correct the source of excess moisture. Leaking pipes, roof damage, plumbing failures, poor ventilation, and elevated humidity can all create conditions that encourage mold growth. The article explains that mold removal is most effective when these moisture issues are addressed before remediation is complete, reducing the chance of mold returning.

The article also describes how restoration professionals evaluate the extent of contamination to determine whether materials can be cleaned or should be removed. Drywall, insulation, carpeting, and other porous materials may require replacement when mold penetrates deeply. Specialized containment systems and air filtration equipment help prevent mold spores from spreading into unaffected areas of the home during remediation.

The HelloNation article explains that many homeowners ask whether mold can return after remediation. It notes that future mold growth depends largely on whether the original moisture problem has been resolved. When water intrusion, leaks, or excessive humidity continue, mold may reappear. However, properly drying affected areas and eliminating the moisture source significantly reduces the likelihood of recurring mold growth.

The article also highlights the importance of protecting a home's structure through prompt remediation. Persistent moisture can contribute to structural damage by weakening wood framing, drywall, subflooring, and other building materials over time. Early intervention may help limit deterioration, reduce repair costs, and identify hidden damage before it becomes more extensive. Damage Restoration Expert Chad Haynes emphasizes addressing moisture conditions before they create larger restoration challenges.

Another key point covered in the article is the impact mold can have on indoor air quality. Mold spores released into the air may circulate throughout the home, especially during cleanup. The article explains that professional mold remediation includes cleaning affected areas while using specialized equipment to help reduce airborne particles created during the process, contributing to a cleaner indoor environment after remediation is complete.

The article concludes that responding quickly to mold concerns following water damage or gradual moisture intrusion helps homeowners better protect their property. By addressing both visible mold and the moisture conditions that caused it, professional mold remediation supports healthier indoor air quality, helps limit structural damage, and provides greater confidence that mold removal is complete. Damage Restoration Expert Chad Haynes encourages homeowners to recognize mold as a sign that moisture problems should be investigated rather than ignored.

How Professional Mold Remediation Protects Your Home features insights from Chad Haynes, a damage restoration expert in Rogers, Arkansas, in HelloNation.

RedHammer to Help Shape Intuit Enterprise Suite for Construction
Image File
Original HTML

RedHammer Partner Scott Franchini joins Intuit's Lighthouse Construction Customer Advisory Board to improve IES for contractors.

PHOENIX, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- RedHammer today announced that Partner Scott Franchini has joined the newly formed Intuit Lighthouse Construction Customer Advisory Board (CAB), giving the construction industry a direct voice in improving Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES) as Intuit expands AI across its mid-market platform.

The CAB gives construction leaders a direct channel to Intuit product teams and builds on RedHammer's participation in the Intuit Lighthouse community, a selective customer success group of Intuit customers and partner firms. Franchini will contribute insight drawn from RedHammer's work inside the accounting and operations systems contractors use as they grow.

"We support more than 150 construction clients across 25 states, and we work across the financial, project management and field platforms those companies rely on. That lets us bring Intuit a perspective that goes beyond any one product and reflects what contractors need at every stage of growth, from smaller businesses to middle-market and larger firms," said Scott Franchini, Partner at RedHammer.

The appointment comes as Intuit makes AI a core part of IES and expands the platform for construction. On February 11, 2026, Intuit launched Intuit Enterprise Suite Construction Edition, which the company describes as an AI-native, end-to-end enterprise resource planning platform built for mid-market construction businesses. The platform brings financial, project and operational workflows together and uses AI to automate work and deliver business insights.

For contractors, the question is not simply whether AI is included. It is whether IES can use reliable data from across the business without becoming another disconnected layer. RedHammer will use the CAB to address how IES supports construction workflows and connects with the third-party platforms contractors already rely on.

Franchini addressed the software gap facing growing construction companies on a mid-market panel at Intuit Connect 2025, and he returns to Intuit Connect 2026 in Las Vegas, October 26 to 28, with a breakout session titled "The Construction Software Gap: Why IES Is the Mid-Market Answer."

"IES is beginning to close the middle-market construction gap by combining the usability companies already value in QuickBooks with stronger construction functionality, reporting, KPIs and AI. Just as important, Intuit is listening not only to customers, but to firms like RedHammer that bring a more holistic perspective across the full software environment," Franchini said.

Contractors evaluating Intuit Enterprise Suite or the broader software stack behind their accounting and operations can contact RedHammer at redhammer.com.

About RedHammer

RedHammer is an outsourced accounting company and software solutions advisory firm built exclusively for construction. The company builds and operates accounting departments for contractors and helps clients select, implement and improve the software used across their businesses. Standlee's Grab & Go® Bales Go Pink Again for Breast Cancer Awareness

Fueling Animals, Fueling Hope

KIMBERLY, Idaho, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This October, Standlee is once again turning its iconic green Grab & Go bales pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Now in its sixth year of supporting the cause, Standlee's annual breast cancer awareness campaign returns with Grab & Go to Give, bringing together customers, communities and organizations in support of those impacted by breast cancer.

For the second year, limited-edition pink Grab & Go bales have been distributed to retailers across the country, helping spread awareness from barns and farms to communities nationwide. While the packaging may look different, customers can expect the same high-quality forage they have come to trust from Standlee.

When customers choose a pink Grab & Go bale, they are not only fueling their animals but also helping Standlee support organizations working to make a meaningful difference for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

"Supporting the fight against breast cancer has long been part of who we are at Standlee," said Jessica Wright, VP of Marketing. "Each year, we are reminded that this fight affects people standing right beside us in our barns, homes and communities. Bringing the pink bales back gives us another opportunity to come together, show our support and help make a meaningful difference for those impacted by breast cancer."

Over the past six years, Standlee's breast cancer awareness efforts have shared stories of strength and resilience while encouraging the agriculture and equine communities to come together in support of the cause. In 2025 alone, Standlee donated a total of $65,000 to organizations supporting breast cancer research, education, resources and individuals and families impacted by the disease.

This year, Standlee's support will benefit five organizations:

- Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) – Funding innovative research to prevent and cure breast cancer worldwide.

- Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) – Providing education, resources, and a supportive community for people affected by breast cancer.

- Rein In Cancer – Supporting individuals and families affected by cancer while bringing together the Western and equine communities around the cause.

- Rural Gone Urban Foundation – Providing judgment-free grants and financial support to women battling breast cancer, empowering them to make memories and invest in legacies for themselves and their families.

- Horses and Hope – Supporting medically underserved individuals, especially those in the Kentucky horse industry and beyond, through education, screening, and support to help with early detection and care.

New for 2026, supporters can take their support beyond the barn with a collection of limited-edition Grab & Go to Give apparel and merchandise available on the Standlee website throughout October. Net proceeds from the collection will be donated in support of the campaign's partner organizations.

From putting a pink bale in the barn to wearing their support, customers across the country can join Standlee in standing behind those affected by breast cancer and the organizations working every day to make an impact.

Together, we can fuel animals, fuel hope and stand stronger in the fight against breast cancer.
