Robotic Radical Prostatectomy Comes Up ‘Short’ in CAPTAIN Trial

– Whole-gland TULSA ablation demonstrates statistically significant superior penile length preservation compared to robotic RP at 1 month –

TORONTO, July 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ:PROF; TSX:PRN) (“Profound” or the “Company”), a commercial-stage medical device company that develops and markets innovative interventional MRI (iMRI) procedures, today announced new data from the Level 1 post-market CAPTAIN randomized controlled trial comparing the TULSA Procedure™ with robotic radical prostatectomy (“robotic RP”) in men with organ-confined, intermediate-risk, Gleason Score 7 (Grade Group 2 and 3) prostate cancer. At 1 month following the TULSA Procedure, there was no median change in penile length, compared with a median 0.65 cm reduction in penile length after robotic RP.

The new penile length results in favor of the TULSA Procedure were presented for the first time earlier today by Xiaosong Meng, MD, PhD, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, at the Society of Robotic Surgery (“SRS”) Annual Meeting held in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Dr. Meng’s SRS presentation highlighted:

- No median change in penile length at 1 month after whole-gland TULSA, compared with a median 0.65 cm reduction in penile length after robotic RP.

- A statistically significant between-arm difference in change in penile length estimated from a mixed-effects model (0.42 cm; p0.001).

- Additional quality of life context following Profound’s previously announced CAPTAIN primary safety endpoint results, in which TULSA demonstrated statistically significant superiority over robotic RP in preserving both erectile function and urinary continence at 6 months.

“Penile length is not something many men feel comfortable talking about, even in the absence of prostate disease,” said Arun Menawat, Profound’s CEO and Chairman. “Because the penis may be deeply tied to their identity, masculinity, and/or self-worth, even small amounts of penile shrinkage can cause men a lot of additional worry and distress. This new data points to the greater peace of mind that the TULSA Procedure can deliver to patients by gently, safely and precisely ablating prostate tissue while actively protecting surrounding structures.”

About CAPTAIN

CAPTAIN (A Comparison of TULSA Procedure vs. Radical Prostatectomy in Participants with Localized Prostate Cancer) is a prospective, multi-center randomized controlled trial aimed at comparing the safety and efficacy of the TULSA Procedure (performed with the TULSA-PRO® system) with robotic RP in men with organ-confined, intermediate-risk, Gleason Score 7 (Grade Group 2 and 3) prostate cancer. CAPTAIN exceeded its enrollment target, treating 211 patients, instead of the initially planned 201 patients, by August 2025 at 20 sites in the United States, two in Canada and one in Europe. The goal of CAPTAIN is to demonstrate that the efficacy of the TULSA procedure is not inferior to robotic RP, while demonstrating superior quality of life outcomes. The primary safety endpoint is the proportion of patients who preserve both erectile potency and urinary continence at one year after treatment. The primary efficacy endpoint is the proportion of patients who are free from any additional treatment for prostate cancer, free of metastases or prostate cancer related death by three years after treatment. Secondary endpoints include comparison of rates of complications, cost effectiveness, as well as histologic and biochemical failure.

About Profound Medical Corp.

Profound is a commercial-stage medical device company and an innovator in interventional MRI (iMRI) procedures. The company’s flagship platform, TULSA-PRO®, enables MRI-guided, incision-free prostate ablation. Physicians use the TULSA Procedure™ to see, ablate, and confirm therapy in real time, supporting personalized treatment strategies across the continuum of prostate care—from whole-gland to subtotal, hemi, multifocal, and focal treatment. This approach enables individualized care using prostate tissue ablation, while minimizing the potential of the side effects that are typically associated with surgery or radiation, such as urinary incontinence and/or erectile dysfunction.

Profound also commercializes Sonalleve®, an MRI-guided therapy that provides a non-surgical treatment option for pain palliation of bone metastases, desmoid tumors, and osteoid osteoma, as well as for common gynecologic conditions including uterine fibroids and adenomyosis. Sonalleve delivers targeted therapy with no incisions, no blood loss during the procedure, no overnight hospital stay, and faster recovery — and, in gynecologic applications, enables uterine-sparing treatment that may help preserve fertility. Profound is also exploring additional clinical applications for Sonalleve, including non-invasive ablation of abdominal cancers and hyperthermia-based cancer therapies.

Profound Medical’s technologies are approved across major global markets. TULSA-PRO is cleared by the FDA in the United States for transurethral ultrasound ablation (TULSA) of prostate tissue. In addition, TULSA-PRO is cleared for use in various jurisdictions including Europe, Canada, Saudi Arabia, India, Australia/New Zealand, and the UAE. Sonalleve is approved by the FDA as HDE in the United States for the treatment of osteoid osteomas in the extremities. Sonalleve is also cleared or approved in the Europe, Canada, China, and Saudi Arabia.

Through real-time MRI guidance and data-driven innovation, Profound is advancing the future of MRI-guided therapy — expanding access to precise, personalized, and incision-free treatment options worldwide.

Profound Medical Reports Second Quarter 2026 Financial Results

– Operating expenses decline 16%, helping drive a 39% improvement in net loss –

– Approximately $3.1 million of TULSA revenue recognition shifts into early Q3 due to shipment timing –

– Strong clinical, commercial and reimbursement momentum continues –

– Company reiterates full-year 2026 revenue guidance –

TORONTO, Aug. 06, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ:PROF; TSX:PRN) (“Profound” or the “Company”), a commercial-stage medical device company that develops and markets innovative interventional MRI (“iMRI”) procedures, today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026. Unless specified otherwise, all amounts in this press release are expressed in U.S. dollars and are presented in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).

“Commercial momentum continued to accelerate during the second quarter," said Arun Menawat, Profound's CEO and Chairman. “We received over $7.0 million in new purchase orders, a new quarterly record. Approximately $2.5 million of those orders were recognized as revenue during the quarter, while approximately $3.1 million was shipped in July and will be recognized in the third quarter. The shipment timing reflected a temporary logistics issue—not customer demand—and, absent the timing difference, second quarter revenue would have increased approximately 153% year-over-year. The logistics issue has since been resolved.

Beyond top-line growth, our business model continued to demonstrate meaningful operating leverage. Gross margin remained above our long-term target of 70%, operating expenses declined 16%, and net loss improved by 39% year-over-year.

Momentum has continued into the third quarter, including another monthly record for new order activity in July and exceptional physician engagement at SRS2026 that generated more than 160 qualified commercial opportunities over just four days. Based on continued payer coverage expansion, growing clinical validation, and a strengthening sales pipeline, we believe we are now in the strongest commercial position in the Company's history. Based on this momentum and our improved visibility into the second half of the year, we are reiterating the $25.0 million bar we previously set for 2026 total revenue."

Business Highlights

Clinical Momentum

- The post-market CAPTAIN Level 1 randomized clinical data continued to demonstrate statistically significant advantages of the TULSA Procedure™ over robotic radical prostatectomy, with new penile length preservation data presented in July 2026.

- Physician awareness of, and engagement with, the TULSA Procedure continued to expand through presentations at the 2026 meetings of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), the American Urological Association (AUA), and the Society of Robotic Surgery (SRS).

Reimbursement Expansion

- Payer coverage expanded by approximately 18.3 million covered lives during the second quarter, substantially broadening patient access to the TULSA Procedure. Most of the newly covered lives came through state Medicaid and managed Medicaid (Ambetter) programs.

- Today, Profound is pleased to announce that the Johns Hopkins Employee Health Plan and the Prime Healthcare Employee Health Plan, covering more than 50,000 and 55,000 employees, medical staff and family members, respectively, have become the first employer owned health plans to list the TULSA Procedure as a covered service.

Commercial Execution & Adoption

- Profound’s TULSA-PRO® installed base increased to 84 at the end of Q2-2026.

- Profound estimates that the current aggregate total dollar value of its qualified sales pipeline (defined as within one of the “Verify, Negotiate and Contracting” stages) for TULSA-PRO and Sonalleve® is approximately $70.0 million.*

Continuing Innovation

- Profound also launched an initiative to explore the potential of integrating PSMA PET molecular imaging technologies with the TULSA Procedure to support intention-to-treat decisions and patient monitoring.

* There can be no assurance given with respect to the extent and/or timing of the Company’s qualified sales pipeline resulting in recognized revenue.

Q2-2026 Clinical Utilization Trends

Physicians continued to utilize the TULSA Procedure’s customizable prostate tissue ablation capabilities in the second quarter of 2026:

Prostate Condition

Regional Ablation

Prostate Size

TULSA INDEX20

Introduced by the Company in the first quarter of 2026, the following supplemental ‘same-store’ TULSA Procedure volume analysis is designed to track a fixed cohort (i.e. without any changes or substitutions) of 20 active commercial TULSA-PRO sites over time. The TULSA INDEX20 includes a representative variety of providers, including teaching hospitals and private-pay practices, all of which have been performing TULSA Procedures for at least 12 months. Geographically, 80% of the index sites are in the U.S. and 20% are international.

Summary Second Quarter 2026 Results

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Profound recorded total revenue of approximately $2.5 million, up 12% year-over-year, including $1.6 million of recurring non-capital revenue from single-use devices and services associated with extended warranties, and $871,000 from capital equipment sales.

Approximately $3.1 million of TULSA product shipments originally anticipated in the final week of June were completed in July. The timing affected only the period of revenue recognition and did not reflect any change in customer demand or order activity. Excluding this shipment timing, second quarter revenue would have been approximately $5.6 million, representing 153% year-over-year growth.

Gross margin expanded to 78% in Q2-2026 from 73% in the prior-year period, reflecting a favorable product mix, including multiple capital system sales that were previously under operating leases to customers.

Operating expenses declined 16% year over year to approximately $13.0 million, primarily reflecting lower personnel, commercial, travel, insurance and CAPTAIN clinical trial costs following completion of enrollment. These reductions were partially offset by higher R&D investments focused on product cost reduction, quality improvements and manufacturing efficiencies.

Second quarter 2026 net loss was approximately $9.5 million, or $0.26 per common share, a 39% improvement from a net loss of approximately $15.7 million, or $0.52 per common share, in the three months ended June 30, 2025.

Liquidity and Outstanding Share Capital

As at June 30, 2026, Profound had cash of approximately $38.3 million.

As at August 6, 2026, Profound had 36,532,594 common shares issued and outstanding.

For complete financial results, please see Profound’s filings, which will be made available under Profound’s profile at www.sedarplus.com, www.sec.gov and on Profound’s website under “SEC & SEDAR+ Filings.”

Full Year 2026 Financial Outlook

Based on record order activity, continued expansion of its commercial pipeline and improved visibility into second-half shipments, Profound continues to project total revenue for full-year 2026 to be approximately $25.0 million, which represents 56% growth compared to its prior year revenue. The Company also continues to expect full year 2026 gross margin to be 70% or higher.

Profound Medical Launches ‘Let's Huddle’, a Global Community Supporting Men Throughout Their Prostate Care Journey

A patient-centered initiative focused on education, connection, and support

TORONTO, Aug. 13, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ:PROF; TSX:PRN) (“Profound” or the “Company”), a commercial-stage medical device company that develops and markets innovative interventional MRI (“iMRI”) procedures, today announced the launch of Let's Huddle, a global patient community designed to empower men and their families with education, connection, and support throughout every stage of the prostate care journey.

The new patient advocacy initiative, led by Leonard Wheeler, Profound’s Global Patient Ambassador, former NFL player, prostate cancer survivor, and men's health advocate, brings together patients, survivors, care partners, healthcare professionals, and advocates with a shared mission: to change the conversation around prostate disease through education, awareness, and authentic patient experiences.

Let’s Huddle reflects Profound’s belief that innovation extends beyond technology—it includes helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate complex treatment decisions. Through education, peer connection, and advocacy, the Let's Huddle community helps empower patients to take an active role in their care while advancing better outcomes for the broader patient community.

"Receiving a prostate disease diagnosis can be overwhelming, and many men struggle to find trusted information and connect with others who truly understand what they're experiencing," said Tom Tamberrino, Profound’s Chief Commercial Officer. "Let's Huddle was created to ensure that no one has to navigate that journey alone. By fostering education, peer support, and meaningful conversations, we're helping patients become more informed participants in their care while building a stronger community around prostate health. This initiative reflects our commitment to improving the patient experience before diagnosis, during treatment, and long into survivorship."

Mr. Wheeler will help lead the Let's Huddle community by sharing his personal journey, elevating survivor voices, participating in educational initiatives, and encouraging men to become more informed and engaged in their prostate health.

"As someone who has lived through a prostate cancer diagnosis, I know firsthand how isolating the journey can feel," said Mr. Wheeler. "The information your physician provides is critical, but there's something uniquely powerful about connecting with someone who's already walked the path. Let's Huddle creates a place where men and their families can learn, ask questions, share their stories, and realize they're not facing prostate disease alone. I'm honored to help lead this initiative with Profound because together we can change how prostate disease is talked about and empower more men to take charge of their health."

Terrell Freeman, a U.S. military veteran, TULSA Procedure™ patient, and active member of the Let's Huddle community, knows firsthand the impact that patient-to-patient support can have during the treatment journey.

"Hearing from someone who had already walked this path gave me the confidence I needed during one of the most challenging decisions of my life,” Mr. Freeman commented. “Knowing there was someone I could relate to made all the difference. That's why I'm proud to be part of Let's Huddle. Every man deserves access to real experiences, honest conversations, and a community of men and women that reminds him he doesn't have to face prostate disease alone."

Research consistently shows that hearing directly from patients who have experienced similar diagnoses and treatments is one of the most valuable resources for individuals making treatment decisions. Let's Huddle provides a trusted platform where survivors can share their experiences, patients can access educational resources, and care partners can find support—helping men engage in more informed conversations with their physicians and feel more confident throughout their care journey.

Supporting the Entire Patient Journey

As healthcare increasingly embraces patient-centered care, Let's Huddle expands Profound’s commitment beyond treatment delivery by supporting individuals before diagnosis, during treatment selection, and throughout survivorship.

The Let’s Huddle community will provide:

- Educational resources to help patients better understand prostate disease and available treatment options.

- Real patient stories and experiences that provide perspective and encouragement.

- Opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement and survivorship support.

- Resources for family members and care partners navigating the journey alongside loved ones.

- Awareness initiatives that encourage earlier conversations about prostate health.

- Opportunities to advocate for better care pathways for prostate disease.

Creating Value Beyond Technology

While Profound continues to advance MRI-guided therapies through TULSA-PRO®, the Company recognizes that technology alone does not define the patient experience.

Let's Huddle demonstrates Profound's commitment to the entire continuum of care—from diagnosis through survivorship. By investing in education, advocacy, and community engagement, the company is helping healthcare organizations strengthen patient education, build trust within their communities, and reinforce their commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care.

"When healthcare organizations invest in TULSA-PRO, they're not simply adopting an innovative treatment platform," added Mr. Tamberrino. "They're joining a growing ecosystem dedicated to patient education, engagement, advocacy, and survivorship—helping providers deliver meaningful value before, during, and long after treatment."

As the Let's Huddle community grows, Profound will expand educational programming, patient storytelling initiatives, awareness campaigns, and collaborations with healthcare providers and advocacy organizations worldwide—all with the goal of improving how prostate disease is discussed, understood, and treated.

Profound’s Introduction of New Real-time Interventional MRI Software Paving the Way for Full ‘TULSA Days’

Most recent TDC software provides a potential roadmap for customers to easily achieve up to 6 TULSA Procedures™ per system per day

TORONTO, Aug. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ:PROF; TSX:PRN) (“Profound” or the “Company”), a commercial-stage medical device company that develops and markets innovative interventional MRI (“iMRI”) procedures, today announced the introduction of its latest Treatment Delivery Console (“TDC”) software.

The new TDC software, which is being deployed across Profound’s TULSA-PRO® installed base, further builds upon previously implemented TULSA-AI® modules focused on increasing procedural efficiency and physician experience, while reducing planning complexity. It brings two new focuses of features that are designed to even further increase TULSA Procedure™ efficiency and support the ability to regionally ablate tissue for a variety of prostate indications:

- Real-time iMRI control, putting the surgeon more squarely in the driver’s seat of TULSA-PRO’s supervised robotic autonomy.

- Physician-requested improvements to the user interface and hardware control.

“Today, a few TULSA physicians already report being able to perform up to four TULSA Procedures per day,” said Arun Menawat, Profound’s CEO and Chairman. “Many TULSA physicians also report that TULSA-PRO is already one of the least stressful devices they use. The objective of introducing the latest TDC software is to further increase ease of use and reduce overall procedure times, and provide what we believe is a roadmap that would allow surgeons to achieve up to six procedures per day.”

Dr. Menawat continued, “TULSA is the only prostate treatment modality that deploys supervised robotic autonomy, meaning it executes predefined and/or AI-driven tasks independently. This compares to competitive robotic systems that instead rely on direct, real-time human hand movement and control. Putting physicians more squarely in the driver’s seat of TULSA-PRO’s autonomous robotics via this software upgrade will further enhance their ability to deliver consistent, highly personalized prostate ablation based on each patient's unique anatomy and disease. In the future, it may also give us an even stronger competitive advantage as prostate surgery advances to its next potential frontier, including incisionless telesurgery.”

Profound Medical and Telix Pharmaceuticals Enter Co-Education Agreement to Advance PSMA-Informed Prostate Care

Collaboration will educate physicians and prostate cancer centers on the complementary roles of Telix’s PSMA-PET molecular imaging technologies and Profound’s MRI-guided TULSA-PRO®

Agreement provides Profound with increased access to urologists via a strong strategic partner and creates a framework to further advance clinical evidence-based patient selection and optimization of patient treatment plans

TORONTO, Oct. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ:PROF; TSX:PRN) (“Profound” or the “Company”), a commercial-stage medical device company that develops and markets innovative interventional MRI (“iMRI”) procedures, is pleased to announce entering into a co-education agreement with Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX:TLX; NASDAQ:TLX) (“Telix”), a commercial-stage global radiopharmaceutical company.

The agreement establishes a framework through which the companies intend to educate urologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and prostate cancer centers on the complementary roles of Telix’s advanced prostate-specific membrane antigen (“PSMA”) targeting PET molecular imaging technologies, Gozellix® and Illuccix®1, and Profound’s MRI-guided, AI-powered, robotically-driven and incisionless TULSA-PRO® platform across the prostate care continuum.

Planned initiatives include participation in major scientific and medical society meetings, key opinion leader programs, educational summits, speaker programs and webinars, as well as the development of educational content, clinical case studies and best-practice materials. The collaboration is intended to increase physician awareness of PSMA-informed treatment pathways, support appropriate patient selection and treatment planning, and expand access to the TULSA Procedure™.

“This agreement strengthens our relationship with an important strategic participant in the prostate cancer ecosystem and increases our access to urologists across the U.S. and internationally,” said Arun Menawat, PhD, Profound’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. “By bringing together advanced molecular imaging and incisionless, MRI-guided therapy, we see an opportunity to support broader market development, enhance clinical education and increase awareness of the complementary value of our respective technologies. Over time, we also believe the incorporation of Telix’s PSMA-PET capabilities within TULSA-PRO centers could strengthen their clinical and economic value proposition, including by supporting more informed treatment decisions and potentially enhancing return on investment.”

“As new technologies continue to transform prostate cancer care, clinical education is essential to helping physicians understand how PSMA-PET imaging can inform patient selection and treatment planning across a range of minimally invasive and image-guided approaches,” said Kevin Richardson, CEO, Telix Precision Medicine. “Through this collaboration with Profound, we aim to increase awareness of the complementary roles of PSMA-PET imaging and MRI-guided therapy and support more personalized care for patients.”

Potential to Expand TULSA-PRO’s Addressable Market

Profound’s broader strategic objective is to explore opportunities that could expand the clinical utility and adoption of TULSA-PRO.

PSMA-PET imaging may help physicians determine whether certain patients with higher-risk disease remain appropriate candidates for the TULSA Procedure by identifying distant metastases or disease beyond the prostate that may not otherwise be readily detected. Profound believes this additional diagnostic information could enable more precise patient stratification and potentially broaden the population considered for the TULSA Procedure.

Advancing PSMA-Informed TULSA-PRO Treatment Planning

Profound is also developing PSMA-PET–MR image-fusion capabilities for inclusion in a planned future release of its Treatment Delivery Console (“TDC”) software. The planned functionality is intended to allow Telix’s diagnostic PSMA-PET data to be incorporated into TULSA-PRO treatment planning, using real-time intra-operative MR images, which are much more precise than competitor approaches that rely on registering old diagnostic data to real-time ultrasound.

Profound believes that the combination of MRI and PSMA-PET imaging will be an important new differentiator for TULSA-PRO. It will not only provide clinicians with the enhanced ability to identify appropriate patients for the TULSA Procedure, but importantly, also potentially design better treatment plans and produce better outcomes.

“Approximately 85% of prostate cancers are multifocal, involving two or more distinct index or satellite lesions in different areas of the prostate, while approximately 15% are unifocal, with a single tumor site2,” said Mathieu Burtnyk, PhD, Profound’s Chief Technology Officer. “A significant strategic advantage of TULSA-PRO is its ability to support a spectrum of customized, regional ablation plans — from whole-gland, to focal, and everything in between.”

Dr. Burtnyk continued, “We believe PSMA-PET has the potential to enhance multiple stages of the TULSA Procedure, including patient selection, treatment planning, determination of ablation extent and margin definition. Molecular imaging may help identify the approximately 15-25% of patients who are candidates for focal ablation as well as certain higher-risk patients who may remain suitable for whole-gland ablation. Perhaps more significantly still, it may help physicians customize the treatment strategy to each patient’s individual disease characteristics.”

Getnet simplifies European expansion for merchants with one payments integration

Getnet will enable e-commerce businesses to accept, manage and move payments across Europe through a single integration.

Madrid (Spain), 6 October 2026.

Expanding across Europe just became simpler for merchants. Getnet, Santander's global merchant payments platform, now enables multinational merchants, marketplaces and e-commerce companies to access payment services in over 30 countries across Europe through a single integration. The expansion broadens Getnet's footprint beyond Latin America, Spain and Portugal and reinforces its role as a strategic payments partner for businesses operating across Europe.

As European commerce becomes increasingly cross-border, businesses face the challenge of navigating multiple payment methods, regulations and technical integrations. Getnet's European platform brings these capabilities together through a single infrastructure called Getnet Single Entry Point (SEP). SEP allows merchants to connect to multiple markets through one integration while accessing leading local payment methods, including Bizum in Spain and MB WAY in Portugal, where Getnet operates as a direct member, enabling a stronger value proposition for merchants.

The model is already proven at scale in Latin America, where Getnet processes billions of transactions across Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Argentina.

In addition to payment acceptance, Getnet will enable merchants, platforms and payment service providers to collect funds, reconcile balances, convert currencies and make payouts through the same infrastructure. The solution initially supports 20 currencies and payouts to 140 countries.

Rubén Justel, CEO of Getnet Europe, said: "This expansion marks a new chapter for Getnet in Europe. Businesses can access multiple markets through a single integration, with transparent pricing and dedicated support. Our goal is simple: help companies grow internationally while improving payment performance."

Getnet is also building an open partner ecosystem with payment service providers, technology companies and software providers to help businesses scale more efficiently. Getnet is investing in new payment models, including instant payments, account-to-account payments and AI-powered commerce. The company recently completed Latin America's first agentic transaction using Mastercard Agent Pay technology.

Juan Franco, CEO of Getnet, said: "The future of commerce is increasingly connected, intelligent and international. Europe plays a key role in connecting businesses across regions, including Latin America, North America and Asia. By expanding our capabilities in Europe, we are creating new opportunities for merchants, platforms and partners to grow across borders."
