Increasing battery energy density, fast-charging requirements, higher power output, and stringent battery safety requirements are driving the value and technology intensity of BTMS. OEMs are transitioning from conventional air-cooling toward liquid-cooled and integrated thermal architectures capable of managing battery temperature with greater precision and efficiency. Technology is also shifting toward AI-based thermal simulation, cell-level temperature monitoring, direct cell cooling, and intelligent controls, particularly for high-voltage 800 V EV platforms requiring faster charging and tighter thermal uniformity. 800V BTMS solutions are being developed with higher coolant flow, faster preconditioning, and integrated battery heating and cooling to manage higher charging loads.

- In June 2026, MAHLE started series production of battery cooling plates at its Montblanc plant in Spain to support growing demand for liquid cooled battery systems. The company plans to increase production from around 1,000 units per week to 8,000 units per week by the end of 2026, with the facility capable of reaching up to 15,000 units per week. The cooling plates use optimized coolant channels to distribute heat uniformly across the battery and maintain operating temperatures below 40°C. MAHLE is also expanding the production area by around 10,000 m², supporting higher volume production of battery thermal management components.

- In December 2025, Webasto developed its Heated Chiller to combine battery cooling, battery heating, and cabin heating within a single thermal management unit. The system integrates the chiller, battery heater, and interior heater, reducing component count and simplifying thermal system integration. The architecture supports coordinated temperature control across the battery and cabin, enabling battery preconditioning for charging while also meeting cabin heating requirements. Webasto is positioning the Heated Chiller as a compact thermal management solution for electric vehicles, with the technology currently progressing toward production applications.

The BEV segment is expected to have the largest share in the global BTMS market.

BEVs are expected to be the fastest-growing vehicle type in the battery thermal management system market, as they account for more than 50% globally, supported by higher battery energy density, tighter cell temperature-control requirements, and greater integration of battery and vehicle thermal systems. Within passenger BEVs, NMC batteries require active thermal control as higher energy density and charging power increase heat generation and cell temperature variation, which supports liquid cooling, direct cell cooling, battery preconditioning, and active temperature control. OEMs and BTMS suppliers are focusing on integrated and actively controlled thermal architectures. For instance, the Mercedes AMG GT 4 Door Coupe uses direct cooling of cylindrical NCMA battery cells, with intelligent thermal management controlling cell temperature during high power operation, while Bosch provides intelligent battery temperature control and diagnostics for BEVs. These developments are increasing the need for optimized coolant distribution, low-thermal-resistance cooling structures, and coordinated thermal control across the battery, heat pump, HVAC, electric motor, and power electronics. High energy density batteries and higher charging power are therefore supporting demand for advanced active BTMS solutions, particularly for NMC-based passenger BEVs.

The cooling plates segment is projected to hold the highest value share in the global BTMS market.

The battery cooling plates segment is estimated to hold the highest value share in the battery thermal management system market, supported by their growing use in high-capacity battery packs where consistent temperature control is required across multiple modules. Commercial EVs require advanced cooling plates because their larger battery packs and sustained high-power operation generate higher thermal loads during vehicle operation and charging. OEMs are integrating cooling-plate-based liquid cooling into commercial EV battery architectures to support higher battery capacity and operating power. For instance, Scania uses liquid cooling with cooling channels or cooling plates integrated into or around battery modules in its electric trucks. Additionally, in January 2026, Volvo Group along with SAE stated that it was working on optimizing battery cooling plate design to improve heat transfer and coolant flow in electric vehicle battery thermal systems. The move toward higher capacity packs is also increasing the need for optimized coolant flow paths and larger effective cooling surfaces, while compact pack architectures are pushing suppliers to develop thinner plates with improved thermal contact. The increasing deployment of high-capacity batteries in commercial EVs is therefore driving the adoption of advanced cooling plate architectures and supporting their leading position in the BTMS component market.

Europe is set to experience significant growth in the global battery thermal management system market.

Europe is expected to account for a significant share of the battery thermal management system market, supported by the adoption of advanced thermal architectures across electrified vehicle platforms. In Europe, BEVs account for more than a 60% share in 2025, creating demand for BTMS. The growing use of BEVs and PHEVs in Europe is increasing demand for hybrid BTMS technology, as these systems combine liquid cooling, refrigerant cooling, and heating functions to manage different battery operating conditions. OEMs and BTMS suppliers are focusing on these requirements through integrated hybrid thermal architectures. For instance, MAHLE combines low-temperature and refrigerant circuits for battery and power electronics cooling, allowing different thermal loads to be managed within the same system. The growing use of high power charging is also increasing the need for coordinated battery preconditioning and cooling in Europe. The shift toward high-voltage, high-power EV platforms is therefore supporting adoption of the BTMS market in Europe.

EP YAYING Debuts SS27 Collection at MODE Shanghai Fashion Week

SHANGHAI, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EP YAYING will present its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at the 2027 Shanghai Fashion Week MODE trade show from October 8 to 12, 2026, at Booth F17-01, Tower T2, Jingyao Hongqiao, 688 Tianshan Road, Changning, Shanghai, marking the global buyer launch of its new season. As an international brand defined by high-end luxury positioning, EP YAYING anchors its MODE presentation around world-class materials, Chinese craftsmanship and cultural heritage, creating a buying space where international retailers can select, trace and order across materials, ateliers and full-scenario product lines.

For SS27, EP YAYING centers its material story on the "YAYING Three Treasures," reflecting the brand's deep commitment to natural materials and artisanal mastery. 6A-grade mulberry silk from the brand's organic sericulture base in Ningnan, Sichuan, is used for lightweight spring/summer silk apparel and textiles. Snowfield yak down continues the brand's supply-chain collaboration with Aba and Nagqu, using naturally collected fiber and low-dyeing processes for knitwear and light outerwear. Alashan "white-on-white" cashmere, at approximately 15.5 microns, is supported by a self-built ranch base and per-item QR traceability for premium knits and trans-seasonal pieces. Together, these three top-tier Chinese natural materials embody the brand's enduring commitment to making fine clothing with fine materials, upheld by generations of dedication and craftsmanship.

At the booth, EP YAYING will present five interconnected directions: the EP YAYING main line, Blue Label contemporary ethnic collection, Red Label high-end collection, shoes, bags and accessories, and home lifestyle. The main line covers elegant workwear, relaxed everyday dressing and fashion sport. Blue Label draws on the octagonal-star motif and Miao and Yi intangible cultural heritage patterns, developed through the embroidery and pleating ateliers for cultural-occasion dressing, carrying forward the legacy of Chinese ethnic traditions. Red Label uses peony and ruyi as heritage codes for elevated workwear, daily wear and social occasions. Shoes, bags, accessories and the home line complete the lifestyle offer, extending from apparel into tea, porcelain, silk textiles and garment care.

The brand operates three creative centers in Paris, Shanghai and Jiaxing respectively, together with its Traditional Chinese Garment Culture Research Building, and runs ateliers covering embroidery, pleating, handbags, footwear, cashmere outerwear and reconstruction. Rare Cannabinoid Company Shares Guide to Reading CBD and THC Lab Tests and Hemp Product Labels

Educational guide explains certificates of analysis, cannabinoid amounts per serving and what to check when comparing gummies, mints and oils.

HONOLULU, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rare Cannabinoid Company is sharing an educational guide to help consumers understand hemp product labels and third-party cannabinoid lab reports. The guide, "How to Read Hemp Product Labels: What's Really Inside Your Gummies and Oils?", provides a practical checklist and a walkthrough of a real certificate of analysis, commonly called a COA.

Products with similar names can contain very different formulas. For example, shoppers comparing CBN sleep gummies should check the amount of CBN and CBD per serving, whether THC is included and whether the formula contains melatonin or other sleep supplements. A product highlighting THCV may also include other cannabinoids. The guide helps readers look beyond the front label to identify individual ingredients, serving sizes and supporting laboratory results.

How to Read a Cannabinoid Lab Report

A certificate of analysis reports laboratory findings for a submitted sample. Rare Cannabinoid Company's guide explains how consumers can match a report to the finished product, check the batch identifier and test date, and locate the cannabinoids listed on the label.

Readers learn how to distinguish percentages from milligrams per serving and interpret common laboratory terms, including "ND," or not detected. The guide also explains why a cannabinoid potency report does not automatically establish that testing for pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents or other contaminants was included.

A worked example uses a third-party lab report for Rare Cannabinoid Company's Mood Gummies. The walkthrough shows readers where to find THC, CBC and CBD results, how to select the correct reporting column and how to compare measured amounts with the product's stated formula.

The guide also shows how to compare the same cannabinoid blend across formats: Mood Gummies contain twice the THC, CBC and CBD per piece as the company's THC Mints, illustrating why both the amount per piece and the number of pieces per container matter when comparing strength and value.

Understanding What Is Inside Hemp Gummies and Oils

Beyond lab reports, the guide addresses common questions about hemp products:

- Does "hemp" mean a product contains CBD?

- Is hemp seed oil the same as CBD oil?

- Does "1,000 mg hemp extract" mean 1,000 mg CBD?

- How do amounts per container differ from amounts per serving?

- Can a product marketed as THCV gummies also contain THC?

- What should shoppers check when a label says "zero THC"?

The resource brings these questions together in a seven-point shopping checklist covering individual cannabinoids, milligram amounts, serving size, servings per container, THC details, complete ingredients and a matching lab report.

By connecting product labels with laboratory results, the guide gives consumers a clearer way to compare formulas and ask informed questions before purchasing.

Preclinical study shows 1.5- to 2-hour increase in total sleep time as Company advances toward clinical development and attracts Chris Brearley, M.D., as Chief Medical Officer

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Carnyx Therapeutics Ltd. ("Carnyx" or the "Company"), a preclinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing first-in-class molecular therapeutics for sleep and retinitis pigmentosa, today unveiled CNYX-005, its lead oral sleep candidate, alongside preclinical findings showing increased total sleep time and non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep in aged animal models.

In the study, aged rats administered with CNYX-005 showed an approximately 1.5- to 2-hour increase in total sleep time compared to the control arm, driven primarily by increased NREM sleep. Researchers measured sleep architecture using continuous electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring.

"Our objective is not simply to induce sleep, but to investigate whether we can support restorative sleep physiology," said Carnyx CEO Prof. Patrick Gunning. "The increase in NREM sleep is particularly interesting because it suggests CNYX-005 may influence sleep architecture, rather than simply increasing time asleep."

NREM sleep is a fundamental component of normal sleep architecture, with deeper stages associated with restorative physiological processes including growth, hormone secretion and tissue repair. Sleep architecture changes with age, including reductions in deep NREM sleep and increased sleep fragmentation.

As Carnyx advances CNYX-005 toward clinical development, veteran drug developer Chris Brearley, M.D., has joined the Company as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Brearley brings more than 30 years of experience in translational medicine, clinical pharmacology and early-stage drug development, including senior roles at Pfizer, Amgen, and Serono. He has extensive experience designing and overseeing first-in-human and early-stage clinical studies.

"These findings provide important evidence supporting further evaluation of CNYX-005," said Dr. Brearley. "We are particularly encouraged by the observed increase in NREM sleep as we investigate the candidate's potential role in restorative sleep. I look forward to helping translate these findings into a rigorous clinical development program and supporting CNYX-005 toward potential clinical evaluation."

CNYX-005 emerged from research into peptide biology associated with sleep regulation and healthy aging, including research involving Epitalon. CNYX-005 is a distinct therapeutic candidate, and Carnyx is applying medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and drug-development approaches to establish efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profiles.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently reviewed Epitalon and a selection of other peptides as part of its evaluation of substances proposed for pharmaceutical compounding. "There is growing scientific and public interest in peptides and their potential applications in health and longevity, often ahead of rigorous clinical evidence," added Prof. Gunning. "Our focus is on translating promising biology into a formally developed therapeutic candidate through systematic preclinical evaluation and, ultimately, clinical testing."

In addition to CNYX-005, Carnyx is developing CNYX-001, an investigational candidate for retinitis pigmentosa.

RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CAPTRUST Financial Advisors (CAPTRUST) today announced that the Hoge-Barrett Group, a 13-person wealth management team based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has joined the firm.

Led by advisor Brett Hoge, the team traces its roots to 1999 and has served as the trusted advisor to individuals and families representing more than $3 billion in client assets. The group built its practice around long-term relationships and comprehensive advice for clients with increasingly complex financial needs.

"Our clients' needs have evolved significantly over the years, and we wanted to make sure our team was evolving with them," said Brett Hoge. "We chose CAPTRUST because it gives us greater flexibility in how we serve clients, while adding a more in-depth technology stack, deeper investment research, and more wealth planning capabilities. That allows our team to remain focused on the families we know so well while giving us more tools to address the complexity that comes with significant and multigenerational wealth."

"The movement of elite advisory teams toward independent RIAs is continuing because advisors are looking for greater control over how they serve increasingly sophisticated clients," said Scott Matheson, managing director, head of client solutions at CAPTRUST. "Teams like Hoge-Barrett don't want to sacrifice scale or resources to gain independence. They want both, and CAPTRUST is uniquely positioned to deliver. Through our unified practice model, advisors maintain the client relationships, culture, and local identity that define their success while gaining the strength of a growing national platform with continually expanding resources, specialized capabilities, and investment in innovation."

It will be CAPTRUST's seventh location in North Carolina, where the firm has over 580 employees, including 111 advisors.

Legal Work Crosses Borders. Now So Does CoCounsel Legal.

Original HTML

Thomson Reuters launches the next generation of CoCounsel Legal globally, adding cross-border legal research from more than 100 countries and territories in a single workflow.

TORONTO, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomson Reuters (Nasdaq: TRI) (TSX: TRI), a global content and technology company, is making things simpler for legal professionals working across borders. The pressure to move faster, advise with greater confidence, and navigate requirements that span multiple countries and legal systems, while never compromising the professional standard their work demands, has never been greater.

Thomson Reuters is solving that with the new Multinational Profile, a capability that brings legal content from more than 100 countries and territories into a single CoCounsel Legal workflow. It helps legal teams research cross-border legal and compliance questions without leaving the platform they already trust. The new capability is available in the next generation of CoCounsel Legal, and the upgraded platform will be available to customers in more than 90 countries and territories throughout 2026. Customers in countries including Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom will soon have access to the fully agentic platform built around how legal work happens, grounded in the trusted authority of Westlaw and Practical Law.

These announcements are only possible because of what Thomson Reuters has spent 175 years building: authoritative legal content across jurisdictions, hard-won trust in its Fiduciary-Grade AI™ technology, and an ongoing commitment to serving the legal profession globally. Few companies could bring together legal content spanning so many countries and territories, the professional expertise to make it useful, and the platform scale to deliver it. Thomson Reuters can.

Introducing the CoCounsel Legal Multinational Profile

Until now, researching a cross-border legal question meant leaving CoCounsel Legal to find, evaluate, and reconcile information from multiple sources across jurisdictions, with no guarantee any of them met a professional standard. The new Multinational Profile changes that. It brings cross-border legal research into a single CoCounsel Legal workflow. Legal teams can research legal requirements across countries, compare key differences, identify issues that may require local advice, and trace every finding to its underlying source, all without switching tools or rebuilding context from scratch.

The Multinational Profile draws on Thomson Reuters globally trusted legal content and vetted official legal and regulatory sources, delivering responses that legal professionals can examine, verify, and act on. Legal teams gain a better-informed foundation for cross-border analysis while retaining full visibility into the sources behind answers and the ability to identify where deeper review or local counsel is required.

"Ask any lawyer whose work crosses borders what slows them down and you will hear the same answer: the research tools stop at the border," said David Wong, Chief Product Officer, Thomson Reuters. "They piece together sources from multiple platforms with no guarantee the result meets the professional standard their work demands. The Multinational Profile changes that, and Thomson Reuters has the scale, the content, and the expertise to deliver it. The professional standard now travels with the work, wherever the matter takes it."

Next Generation CoCounsel Legal Goes Global

Legal professionals globally will soon have access to the next generation of CoCounsel Legal, with key capabilities including:

- Market-Leading Research: Combines advanced AI with trusted Westlaw and Practical Law content to produce comprehensive legal research reports that surface key authorities, relevant precedents, and actionable insights.

- Workspaces: Create matter-specific workspaces that bring together firm documents, legal department materials, precedents, and institutional knowledge. Context is preserved across tasks and matters to support more informed analysis.

- Tabular Analysis: Enables attorneys to bulk review documents and ask questions simultaneously. Results are delivered in a dynamic, filterable table with supporting references linked to source materials for validation.

- Integrations with the tools lawyers use every day: CoCounsel Legal connects with document management systems and productivity tools, helping professionals access relevant information where work already takes place. Available integrations vary by country.

Not every capability is available in every geography, and availability will continue to expand.

"When we evaluate technology, the question is whether it will genuinely work for our lawyers and stand up to professional scrutiny," said Steve Savage, Partner and CTO & Head of Development at Gosschalks. "The next generation of CoCounsel Legal is a leap forward in both functionality and quality of output, grounded in the authority of Westlaw and Practical Law. Our time in the beta made the difference clear, and it's encouraging to see Thomson Reuters bringing that to firms around the world."

Availability

The next generation of CoCounsel Legal is available now in the United Kingdom, with general availability expected globally in countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates by the end of October 2026.

The Multinational Profile will become available to customers in the U.S., Europe, UK, Canada and Australia throughout October.

Visit our website for more information on the Multinational Profile.

Caliber Public Safety Announces Caliber OneView to Help Agencies Uncover Critical Leads and Save Hours of Manual Searching
Image File
Original HTML

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Oct. 14, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- For law enforcement officers and investigators, finding the connection between a suspect, a vehicle, and a past incident often requires hours of manual work. Searching through separate screens for people, vehicles, citations, and incidents takes valuable time away from patrol and investigations. To solve this problem, Caliber Public Safety today announced the launch of Caliber OneView, a new add-on for Caliber Online RMS that allows users to search and cross-reference agency records using plain-English questions.

Caliber OneView was built to deliver immediate operational impact for agencies by focusing on three core benefits:

- Uncovering Hidden Leads: The system does the cross-referencing for the officer. By asking a simple question (such as finding a subject based on a physical description and a pre-set tag like a firearm on file) officers can instantly narrow down thousands of records. It reveals connections between people, vehicles, and addresses that would otherwise take exhaustive manual digging to find.

- Massive Time Savings: Administrative and analytical tasks that used to take days are reduced to seconds. Compiling a monthly command report, which can traditionally take up to a week of manual data pulling, becomes an instant, built-in process, getting personnel back to high-priority tasks.

- Trust and Accountability: The tool respects each user's existing RMS security level, ensuring personnel only see authorized information. Every search is logged, giving agency administrators complete visibility, while keeping the agency's data in its own secure cloud environment.

Because the problem of siloed data affects the entire department, Caliber OneView provides practical value across the agency:

- Patrol Officers and Investigators: Follow leads hands-free from the cruiser using voice commands, instantly receiving a one-page summary of linking addresses, vehicles, and known associates.

- Supervisors and Analysts: Search by pre-set concept tags, such as domestic violence or burglaries, to quickly identify repeat subjects and hot addresses without having to read through every individual report narrative.

- Command Staff: Instantly view department-wide statistics, such as calls for service and citations issued by unit or officer, to make informed deployment decisions.

"Officers and command staff are already stretched thin, and they do not have the time to act as data miners," said Matt Watson, Vice President, Research & Development. "With Caliber OneView, we are giving them a tool that instantly performs cross-referencing for them. It helps officers find the connections they need to close cases, and it provides administrators with the exact statistics they need to run their departments, delivering immediate value and saving countless hours."

Caliber OneView is available now for Caliber Online RMS customers. To learn more about how your agency can save time and uncover hidden connections, visit caliberpublicsafety.com.
