The transaction marks ePointZero's entry into African power generation through a proven operating platform with immediate scale, resilient cash flows, and experienced management.

Acquisition provides Azura Power, a 752 MW pan-African independent power producer, with a committed partner and long-term capital to accelerate its growth pipeline and play a larger role in addressing the continent's power deficit.

The transaction underscores ePointZero's disciplined approach to investing in high-quality infrastructure with resilient, long-term cash flows and demand visibility. Amaya Capital, founders of Azura Power, to retain minority stake.

ABU DHABI, UAE, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ePointZero, a global platform focused on specialized energy infrastructure and a subsidiary of 2PointZero Group, will acquire a 90% stake in Azura Power Holdings Limited ("Azura Power"), an established pan-African independent power producer (IPP).

The 461MW Azura-Edo Independent Power Plant near Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

Azura Power has over 750MW of operating capacity and a growth pipeline of over 1.5GW which could more than double the platform's operational capacity in the coming years. It operates critical power generation assets across Nigeria, Senegal and Mozambique, where it generates around 10% of each country's grid baseload power.

Under the transaction terms, ePointZero has partnered with Amaya Capital to establish an acquisition vehicle, through which ePointZero will acquire the respective ownership stakes of Actis and Africa50. Amaya Capital, Azura Power's founding partner, will retain a minority interest of 10%, underscoring its continued confidence in the future growth of the platform it founded in 2010. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Commenting on the transaction, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of 2PointZero, said: "Reliable power is fundamental to economic growth, industrial development and long-term prosperity. This investment through ePointZero reflects our commitment to deploying long-term capital into critical infrastructure that can support that growth in key markets across Africa."

H.E. Mariam Almheiri, Vice Chair & Managing Director, 2PointZero, said: "At 2PointZero, we are building platforms that create long-term value by investing in the infrastructure shaping tomorrow's economies. As ePointZero continues to expand its global energy platform, the acquisition of Azura Power strengthens our presence in a region where energy demand, economic growth, and long-term opportunity are closely aligned. It reflects our disciplined approach to investing in businesses with strong fundamentals, local expertise, and long-term value."

Mohamed Hesham, CEO of ePointZero, said: "Azura Power brings together many of the qualities we look for in an energy platform: critical operating assets, an experienced management team and a strong position in markets with significant long-term power needs. We are acquiring a business built on nearly a decade of disciplined execution, with significant opportunity to support its continued growth as demand for reliable power infrastructure across the continent accelerates. Together with our strategic investment in Elsewedy Electric and its established industrial and EPC presence across Africa, our acquisition of Azura Power deepens ePointZero's capabilities in energy and infrastructure and positions us to pursue new opportunities across Africa's evolving energy markets."

Dave Peacock, Group CEO, Azura Power, commented: "This transaction is a significant milestone for Azura. We are proud of what our teams have built over the past ten years and the confidence shown by ePointZero is a strong endorsement of that achievement. I would like to thank our shareholders for their trust, partnership and support throughout that journey. With ePointZero now joining Amaya, Azura is well positioned to build on its strong foundations, broaden its opportunity set and accelerate its growth across Africa's energy sector."

Africa's power market is entering a period of sustained investment as population growth, urbanization and industrial development drive demand for new generation capacity. Electricity demand across the African region is expected to nearly double by 2040. Yet, electricity access across Sub-Saharan Africa remains at roughly 55% according to the World Bank, underscoring both the scale of infrastructure needs and the opportunity for long-term private capital.

Azura Power has made a steady contribution to flexible, dispatchable and sustainable power generation in Nigeria, Senegal and Mozambique as demand for reliable electricity continues to grow. It will continue to pair infrastructure investment with Power to Change - its social-impact program, supporting livelihoods and economic opportunity in the communities where it operates. Azura Power's development pipeline includes expansions at existing sites as well as additional gas and renewable projects already in progress. Alongside long-standing relationships and alignment with national utilities and governments, Azura Power's projects have also enjoyed financing and support from a range of the world's leading development finance institutions, including the World Bank, BII, DEG, DFC, FMO, IFC, MIGA and Proparco.

MELBOURNE, Australia, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SIBIONICS showcased its sensor innovation and AI-powered glucose monitoring at the joint IDF-WPR, ADC and Metabolic Diseases 2026 congress, held in Melbourne from 18–21 August. Through Booth #1, a scientific symposium and on-site interviews with Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs), the company brought together advanced technology, clinical evidence and real-world perspectives.

At IDF-WPR 2026 & ADC 2026 & Metabolic Diseases 2026, we shared how GS3 is bringing AI into everyday glucose management — from easier meal logging and food analysis to smarter insights into glucose trends.

The technology story behind GS3 begins far beyond glucose monitoring. SIBIONICS' work in brain–computer interfaces includes a retinal prosthesis designed to provide limited visual perception for people with profound vision loss caused by outer retinal degenerative diseases, such as retinitis pigmentosa. These high-complexity systems require precise, stable biosensing and robust signal processing. SIBIONICS has translated this high-threshold engineering into a more widely accessible medical technology: continuous glucose monitoring. The same platform capability now supports GS3, a factory-calibrated, 14-day CGM sensor with a 2.9 mm profile, designed to provide reliable monitoring with a low on-body burden.

At the symposium "Beyond Glucose: The Integrated Future of CGM, CKM, and AI in Diabetes," jointly hosted by SIBIONICS and Air Liquide Healthcare, session chair Professor Sofianos Andrikopoulos, Group CEO of the Australian Diabetes Society, brought together three perspectives. Professor David O'Neal, University of Melbourne and Deputy Director of the Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations, reviewed emerging clinical evidence for continuous glucose and ketone monitoring. Associate Professor Shannon Lin, a diabetes and nutrition specialist at the University of Technology Sydney, examined how CGM can move beyond data visibility toward personalised, predictive and actionable support. Professor Wei Qiang, Associate Chief Physician and Deputy Director of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, outlined an integrated, AI-driven ecosystem connecting trusted sensing, context and learning.

Throughout the congress, physicians and diabetes educators visited the SIBIONICS booth to experience GS3 and discuss its glucose-management capabilities. In anonymised interviews, CDEs described the sensor as small, light, comfortable and easy to set up. They saw particular potential in AI-supported spike detection, easier meal logging and food analysis that connects glucose trends with meal context. Their feedback also highlighted the importance of personalisation, clear carbohydrate estimates and clinically useful event timelines—reinforcing that AI should extend education and decision support, not replace professional care.

Looking ahead, SIBIONICS plans to integrate its sensing platform with continuous ketone monitoring, insulin delivery, AI and other diabetes technologies. The goal is a richer, reliable and efficient ecosystem that shortens the path from data to understanding—and from understanding to action.

A Legacy of Persistence, A Leap Forward

Huawei's journey in blood pressure monitoring technology traces back to 2014, when the company first ventured into the sports and health domain. Over the past decade, Huawei has steadily advanced wearable health monitoring technologies to drive the evolution of the industry, from dynamic heart rate monitoring and SpO₂ tracking to ECG collection, and ultimately to blood pressure measurement.

In 2024, the HUAWEI WATCH D2 was officially released, introducing 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and redefining blood pressure management.

In 2026, Huawei is set to unveil its latest achievement in blood pressure health—the next-generation HUAWEI WATCH D series. As the latest wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure recorder, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 achieves further breakthroughs across more blood pressure measurement scenarios while delivering more comprehensive health protection.

Lightweight Design, Professionalism Meets Style

To enhance comfort during extended wear, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 features further refinements in device thickness and strap weight. It will be available in three fashionable colour options inspired by "nature's healing"—designed not only for comfort but also as a stylish everyday accessory, seamlessly blending in with diverse lifestyles and sports scenarios.

Broader Scenarios, Richer Health Insights

The HUAWEI WATCH D3 ensures accurate blood pressure measurement at elevated heart rates. It accurately records blood pressure data before and after exercise, provides recommendations on appropriate exercise intensity, and helps users develop good fitness habits. Furthermore, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 has been certified by CE MDR in the European Union, with its certification scope covering single blood pressure measurements, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and pre- and post-exercise blood pressure measurements. Newly added features include blood pressure measurement reminders for high-altitude environments and sudden temperature changes, ensuring users never miss a critical monitoring check.

Beyond its core blood pressure monitoring capabilities, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 also offers richer Health Glance metrics and health studies, alongside continuous improvements in sleep and emotional wellbeing tracking[1]. Further details on specific applications will be announced in due course.

Stay tuned to Huawei's official channels for information on the official launch date, pricing, and full specifications of the HUAWEI WATCH D3.

Top-3 global precision cooling OEM moved from spec lock to mass production in 90 days; CRAH system PUE contribution improved from a 1.42 baseline to 1.28.

NINGBO, China, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- LONGWELL (Ningbo Longwell Electric Technology Co., Ltd.), a global EC fan and motor manufacturer founded in 1990, today released its AI-Era Data Center Cooling Pack. At its core, the LWBE3G plug-fan platform enables FanWall arrays that cut CRAH fan energy by 38%.

LONGWELL EC FanWall Technology

Working with a top-3 global precision cooling OEM, LONGWELL delivered 12 engineering samples in 35 days and passed DV/PV at 100% first time. The incumbent European supplier had quoted 14 months of development plus six months of ramp while LONGWELL used 90 days from spec lock to mass production. Recorded outcomes: 38% fan energy reduction, 6.5 dB(A) lower noise, CRAH system PUE contribution from 1.42 to 1.28, and zero field failures. The customer's first PO was 1,500 units; 2025 deliveries exceeded 80,000 units under a 2025–2027 framework agreement with a 60,000-unit annual minimum.

As AI compute scales, rack heat density has jumped from 15-20 kW to 60-100 kW in two years, with next-generation platforms pushing beyond 100 kW. LONGWELL covers the full airflow chain: LWBE3G EC plug fans for CRAH/CRAC, LWAE3G EC axial fans for condensers and cooling towers, with Modbus control, N+1 automatic failover, and optional bearing vibration sensors giving 30–90 days of end-of-life warning. The full 28-page Data Center Cooling Pack is available at https://www.longwellfans.com/solutions/data-center-cooling/

"AI compute has redefined data center cooling," said Bruce Li, Founder & CEO of LONGWELL. "Above 60 kW per rack, the fan stage is no longer a component choice — it decides whether a PUE target is reachable at all."

About LONGWELL: Founded in 1990 in Yuyao, Ningbo, China, LONGWELL designs and manufactures EC and AC fans and motors for HVACR and industrial applications, exporting to more than 30 countries with annual data center fan capacity exceeding 120,000 units. Learn more at longwellfans.com.

Growing Sportcation Travel Trend: Trip.com Group Reports 40% Increase in Active Travel Booking GMV

SINGAPORE, Aug. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Active travel or 'sportcations' are becoming the next big travel trend, with Trip.com Group seeing a strong double-digit increase in booking GMV. From cycling through mountain passes to joining diving camps and wellness retreats, active travel is becoming a defining part of how people experience the world.

A growing passion for active travel

This shift is gathering pace across the full travel journey, with searches for active sports experiences growing by over 30% year on year, with markets witnessing substantial increases: 80% in Singapore, 65% in Malaysia, and 50% in the United Kingdom, while France, Italy, Germany, and Spain all recorded triple-digit growth.

Total travel booking GMV has increased by almost 40%, with markets such as South Korea (+150%), Singapore (+104%), and Thailand (+200%) seeing bookings more than double over the past year. The same is seen for European travellers. The United Kingdom saw bookings grow by over 100%, and Germany by over 600%, highlighting that travellers are increasingly planning holidays around experiences that get them moving.

From adrenaline to adventure, travellers are following their passions

Active travel is taking many forms, reflecting the wide range of interests shaping today's holidays. Globally, diving ranks as the most-booked sporting experience, followed by activities such as ziplining, paragliding, skydiving and cycling.

Across individual markets, preferences vary, giving destinations their own unique sporting identities. Adventure activities prove especially popular across Asia. Diving leads bookings in South Korea, Malaysia, Germany, Spain, Italy and France. At the same time, skydiving ranks first in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, while Japanese travellers show the strongest preference for cycling.

Destinations are driving signature experiences

As travellers increasingly build holidays around the activities they love, certain places are emerging as go-to destinations for particular passions. The data shows that five destinations in particular stand out across multiple types of active travel, with Thailand, China, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia appearing among the leading destinations across cycling, climbing, swimming, water sports and adventure experiences.

Thailand leads the way, appearing across all five categories and ranking as the leading destination for diving, while also featuring among the top destinations for cycling, water sports and adventure activities. This breadth of experiences makes it a particularly strong destination for travellers looking to combine different activities within one trip.

Australia stands out as another versatile destination, attracting travellers for cycling, rock climbing, surfing and kayaking, as well as adventure activities such as paragliding and skydiving. Its presence across multiple categories reflects the growing appeal of destinations where travellers can combine diverse active experiences within the same holiday.

From travelling together to inspiring others

While the passion for active experiences is shared globally, the way people travel differs across regions. In Europe, the average travel party is 1-2 people, suggesting many travellers are embarking on solo adventures or trips with a partner. Across the Asia-Pacific region, the average group size increases to 2-3, highlighting the popularity of travelling with friends and family to share new experiences.

These experiences are also shaping how travellers engage online. Active travel-related posts on Trip.Moments have nearly doubled globally, growing by 99% year on year as more travellers document their adventures and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Several markets have seen particularly strong growth in community sharing, including Spain (224.9%), the United Kingdom (122.2%), Italy (118.9%), China (96.2%) and France (86.9%), reflecting the growing popularity of active travel across both Asia and Europe.

The conversations are becoming more engaging, too. While the number of posts has nearly doubled, comments have grown twelvefold compared with the previous year, demonstrating that active travel is encouraging richer conversations rather than simply more content. From destination tips to training advice and first-hand recommendations, travellers are helping one another discover their next active escape, creating a cycle where inspiration leads to bookings and every journey inspires the next.

As travellers continue looking for more meaningful ways to explore the world, active travel is evolving from a niche interest into a mainstream travel trend. Whether it is mastering a new skill, training for a personal goal or simply enjoying the outdoors, active experiences are helping people build stronger connections with destinations and with each other.

JINAN, China, Aug. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, the globally renowned growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan officially released the 2026 Independent Market Research Report on Global Off-Highway Mechanical Drive Wide-Body Dump Trucks. Based on rigorous data tracking and analysis of the global market from 2016 to 2025—a full decade—the report formally confirms that LGMG has ranked first in global sales of off-highway mechanical drive wide-body dump trucks for ten consecutive years. This milestone certification signifies that Chinese mining equipment manufacturers continue to lead in the global premium market. It further validates LGMG's deep accumulation in technological innovation, product quality, and global expansion.

A Highly Concentrated Market: The Strong Prevail.

Off-highway mechanical drive wide-body dump trucks refer to self-unloading trucks that operate in off-highway conditions and are specially designed for earthmoving, rock, and mineral transport in complex environments such as mines and large-scale construction projects. With a load capacity typically ranging from 40 to 150 tons, these trucks feature wide bodies, robust frames, and excellent stability, making them indispensable core transport equipment in open-pit mining operations.

Currently, there are 15 to 20 relevant enterprises in this industry globally, and the market presents a highly concentrated competitive landscape. Industry leaders include Chinese companies such as LGMG, TONLY, XCMG, and SANY, while also facing competition from international giants like Komatsu and Caterpillar. In such fierce global competition, LGMG's ability to maintain the top sales position for ten consecutive years fully demonstrates its comprehensive advantages in product technology, manufacturing capabilities, market channels, and customer service.

Innovation-Driven – A Leap from Follower to Leader

Founded in 2012, LGMG is a globally leading enterprise in mining equipment, aerial work platforms and material handling machinery, committed to providing intelligent, efficient, and green solutions to global customers through continuous innovation and technology. The company specializes in the R&D, design, manufacturing, sales, and service of machinery equipment in the fields of mining, aerial work, and material handling.

In terms of technological innovation, LGMG has always been at the forefront of the industry. The company has not only developed electronically controlled mining excavators but has also formed deep partnerships with multiple autonomous driving and new energy emerging manufacturers, taking the lead in achieving commercial-scale applications of autonomous and new-energy mining equipment at multiple mine sites. This has given the company a first-mover advantage in the industrial transformation toward electrification and intelligentization of mining equipment.

In terms of product portfolio, LGMG has established a comprehensive range of wide-body mining trucks covering 40-ton, 60-ton, 100-ton, and larger tonnage classes, with a gradual extension into new-energy variants, capable of meeting diverse transportation needs across various working conditions. In terms of global expansion, the company's sales footprint now covers more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, occupying significant positions in key markets across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Through a well-established overseas sales and service network, LGMG provides timely and professional technical support and after-sales services to global customers.

Looking Ahead – Leading the New Era of Green and Intelligent Mining

Currently, the global off-highway mechanical drive wide-body dump truck industry is undergoing profound transformation. With increasing global requirements for green and low-carbon development, new-energy wide-body dump trucks are gradually becoming the industry's direction. Autonomous driving, remote control, intelligent dispatching, and other technologies are being rapidly implemented in mine transport. Additionally, large tonnage, high load capacity, and high reliability have become major industry trends.

Building on ten consecutive years of global sales leadership, LGMG will continue to uphold its innovation-driven development philosophy, deepen its presence in the mining equipment sector, accelerate the R&D and industrialization of new-energy and intelligent products, and further enhance its global market competitiveness. The company is committed to creating greater value for mining customers worldwide and contributing to the high-quality development of China's mining equipment manufacturing industry and the green and low-carbon transformation of the global mining sector.

Ten consecutive years mark not an end, but the beginning of a new journey. LGMG, as a pacesetter, is steadily advancing toward its goal of becoming a world-class mining equipment enterprise.
