Niutech – Industrial Continuous Pyrolysis Project Site

Repatha is the First and Only PCSK9 Inhibitor Shown to Lower the Risk of Dying from All Causes, Including Cardiovascular Events, in High-Risk Primary Prevention Patients in a Phase 3 Trial

Separate Global Real-World Analyses Show Persistent Gaps in Lipid Management, With Many High-Risk Patients Undertreated and Not Achieving Recommended LDL-C Goals

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Amgen (NASDAQ: AMGN) today announced new findings showing Repatha® (evolocumab) reduced the risk of death in high-risk adults without a prior heart attack or stroke when added to statins or other low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)-lowering treatments. The results are from a pre-specified analysis of the Phase 3 VESALIUS-CV trial and were presented in a late-breaking science session at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. They were also simultaneously published in Circulation.

In a study of more than 12,000 high-risk patients, Repatha helped reduce the risk of dying by 20%. Treatment with Repatha led to meaningful reductions both in overall deaths and cardiovascular deaths in this pre-specified secondary analysis of VESALIUS-CV. By helping prevent major cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks and strokes, Repatha may extend life by helping patients avoid the serious health decline that can follow, contributing to fewer deaths overall. The reduction in deaths began to appear after approximately 1.5 years of treatment and continued through a median follow-up of 4.6 years.

"For people at high risk of a heart attack or stroke, lowering LDL-C or 'bad' cholesterol with Repatha may do more than help prevent these events; it may also reduce the risk of dying from heart disease and its serious consequences," said Jay Bradner, M.D., executive vice president, Research and Development, Artificial Intelligence and Data at Amgen. "This is especially significant given cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide. The totality of these data is practice-changing and reinforces the importance of identifying high-risk patients early and lowering LDL-C aggressively and consistently with Repatha."

Additional VESALIUS-CV and Real-World Analyses Reinforce the Need for Earlier, Intensive LDL-C Lowering in High-Risk Patients

The mortality findings were accompanied by two additional VESALIUS-CV analyses. One analysis showed that Repatha reduced the risk of first, subsequent and total CV events. The other analysis showed that the reduced risk of heart attack with Repatha was seen as early as six months after initiating treatment. The reduction in risk was primarily driven by a decrease in heart attacks caused by a rupture of atherosclerotic plaque (type 1) and larger infarctions. In both analyses, benefits were consistent across key patient subgroups, adding to the growing body of evidence supporting the importance of earlier LDL-C lowering with Repatha in high-risk patients.

"These analyses reinforce that a patient's first major cardiovascular event is not merely an isolated occurrence, but often a transition to a higher risk state," said Marc S. Sabatine, M.D., M.P.H., Chair of the TIMI Study Group and the Lewis Dexter, MD, Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine at Mass General Brigham Heart & Vascular Institute. "Evolocumab reduced not only first cardiovascular events, but also subsequent events during the course of the study, the latter of which almost doubled the number of events prevented. By preventing these events, evolocumab can alter the patient's trajectory, with lower rates of all-cause mortality and consistent effects for both cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular mortality. Together, these data support the large clinical benefit of intensive LDL-C lowering with evolocumab down to ~40 mg/dL to help prevent cardiovascular morbidity and mortality."

Amgen also presented results from two global real-world studies highlighting persistent gaps between guideline recommendations and everyday lipid management. One study found that patients with coronary artery disease and no prior heart attack or stroke were often undertreated and did not achieve recommended LDL-C levels, reflecting low rates of treatment initiation, intensification and monitoring.

The second study highlighted disparities observed in cardiovascular care between sexes, showing that women at high risk with no prior heart attack or stroke were less likely than men to receive intensive lipid-lowering treatment and achieve LDL-C goals across regions. These studies underscore an urgent need for timely, more intensive lipid-lowering treatment to help reduce the risk of a first major cardiovascular event.

About the VESALIUS-CV Trial

VESALIUS-CV is a Phase 3, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, global clinical trial designed to evaluate the impact of LDL-C lowering with evolocumab on MACE in adults at high CV risk without prior heart attack or stroke. Results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine in November 2025. Repatha demonstrated a 25% relative reduction in the risk of a composite of coronary heart disease (CHD) death, heart attack or ischemic stroke (3-P MACE), and 19% reduction in a broader composite that also included any ischemia-driven arterial revascularization (4-P MACE). Repatha also reduced the risk of heart attack by 36%. In a lipid sub-study, adding Repatha to a maximally tolerated dose of statin and/or ezetimibe substantially lowered LDL-C levels among observed patients, with a median level of 45 mg/dL compared to 109 mg/dL in the placebo group.

VESALIUS-CV enrolled more than 12,000 patients with known ASCVD or high-risk diabetes, who had no history of heart attack or stroke, an LDL-C ≥ 90 mg/dL, or non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) ≥ 120 mg/dL, or apolipoprotein B ≥ 80 mg/dL; and treated with highest tolerated dose of statin and/or ezetimibe. The median baseline LDL-C was 122 mg/dL (IQR, 104-149 mg/dL) on local lab testing. Participants were randomized to receive Repatha or placebo in addition to optimized lipid-lowering therapy and were followed for a median of approximately 4.6 years.

Amgen's Commitment to Cardiometabolic Innovation

Amgen is redefining cardiometabolic care with cutting-edge science rooted in human biology that addresses closely connected cardiovascular and metabolic diseases that lead to serious outcomes or death.

Cardiometabolic conditions commonly coexist and can lead to serious outcomes or death, even though they are treatable.1 Despite advances in lipid-lowering and metabolic therapies, substantial residual cardiovascular risk remains, driven by persistent LDL-C elevation, genetically mediated Lp(a) and obesity-related cardiometabolic dysfunction.2

Leveraging 40+ years of cutting-edge science and human genetics, Amgen is redefining cardiometabolic care and risk management. With years of success in cardiovascular disease with Repatha, Amgen is well positioned to deliver potential breakthrough medicines like maridebart cafraglutide (MariTide) and olpasiran to help address patient needs in cardiometabolic care and multiple interconnected drivers of cardiovascular and metabolic disease.

About Repatha

Repatha is a human monoclonal antibody that inhibits proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9). Repatha binds to PCSK9 and inhibits circulating PCSK9 from binding to the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor (LDLR), preventing PCSK9-mediated LDLR degradation and permitting LDLR to recycle back to the liver cell surface. By inhibiting the binding of PCSK9 to LDLR, Repatha increases the number of LDLRs available to clear LDL from the blood, thereby lowering LDL-C levels.

Repatha is one of the most extensively studied PCSK9 inhibitors, with clinical and real-world evidence across diverse populations and CV risk profiles.3 The clinical benefits and safety of Repatha have been studied for 15 years in 51 clinical trials with over 57,000 patients.4 Repatha is the only PCSK9 inhibitor to demonstrate a significant reduction of cardiovascular events as both high-risk primary and secondary prevention, with patients achieving and maintaining dramatic LDL-C reductions using Repatha once every two weeks.5,6

Repatha was first approved in 2015 and has since been used by approximately 9 million patients globally.7 In August 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration broadened the approved use of Repatha to include adults at increased risk for major adverse CV events due to uncontrolled LDL-C. In August 2026, the European Commission approved an expanded indication for the use of Repatha in adults with established or high risk for ASCVD to reduce CV risk by lowering LDL-C levels, as an adjunct to correction of other risk factors, based on results from the Phase 3 VESALIUS-CV trial. Repatha is approved in 75 countries, including the U.S., Japan, Canada and in all 28 countries that are members of the European Union.8 Applications in other countries are pending.

Important EU Product Information

In Europe Repatha is approved for use in:

Hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia

Repatha is indicated in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial) or mixed dyslipidemia, as an adjunct to diet:

in combination with a statin or statin with other lipid lowering therapies in patients unable to reach LDL-C goals with the maximum tolerated dose of a statin or,

alone or in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies in patients who are statin-intolerant, or for whom a statin is contraindicated.

Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia

Repatha is indicated in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies.

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease

Repatha is indicated in adults with established or at high risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease to reduce cardiovascular risk by lowering LDL‑C levels, as an adjunct to correction of other risk factors:

in combination with the maximum tolerated dose of a statin with or without other lipid-lowering therapies or,

alone or in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies in patients who are statin-intolerant, or for whom a statin is contraindicated.

Posology

Primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia in adults

The recommended dose of Repatha is either 140 mg every two weeks or 420 mg once monthly; both doses are clinically equivalent.

Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over

The initial recommended dose is 420 mg once monthly. After 12 weeks of treatment, dose frequency can be up-titrated to 420 mg once every 2 weeks if a clinically meaningful response is not achieved. Patients on apheresis may initiate treatment with 420 mg every two weeks to correspond with their apheresis schedule.

Important Safety Information

This medicinal product is subject to additional monitoring. This will allow quick identification of new safety information. Healthcare professionals are asked to report any suspected adverse reactions.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Special Warnings and Precautions: Renal impairment: Patients with severe renal impairment (defined as eGFR 30 mL/min/1.73 m2) have not been studied. Repatha should be used with caution in patients with severe renal impairment. Hepatic impairment: In patients with moderate hepatic impairment, a reduction in total evolocumab exposure was observed that may lead to a reduced effect on LDL‑C reduction. Therefore, close monitoring may be warranted in these patients. Patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C) have not been studied. Repatha should be used with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment. Dry natural rubber: The needle cover of the glass pre-filled syringe and of the pre-filled pen is made from dry natural rubber (a derivative of latex), which may cause allergic reactions. Sodium content: Repatha contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per dose, i.e. it is essentially 'sodium-free'.

Interactions: No formal drug-drug interaction studies have been conducted for Repatha. No studies on pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics interaction between Repatha and lipid-lowering drugs other than statins and ezetimibe have been conducted.

Fertility, Pregnancy and Lactation: There are no or limited amount of data from the use of Repatha in pregnant women. Repatha should not be used during pregnancy unless the clinical condition of the woman requires treatment with evolocumab. It is unknown whether evolocumab is excreted in human milk. A risk to breastfed newborns/infants cannot be excluded. No data on the effect of evolocumab on human fertility are available.

Undesirable Effects: The following common (> 1/100 to 1/10) adverse reactions have been reported in pivotal, controlled clinical studies: influenza, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, rash, nausea, back pain, arthralgia, injection site reactions. No forward-looking statement can be guaranteed and actual results may differ materially from those we project. Discovery or identification of new product candidates or development of new indications for existing products cannot be guaranteed and movement from concept to product is uncertain; consequently, there can be no guarantee that any particular product candidate or development of a new indication for an existing product will be successful and become a commercial product. Further, preclinical results do not guarantee safe and effective performance of product candidates in humans. The complexity of the human body cannot be perfectly, or sometimes, even adequately modeled by computer or cell culture systems or animal models. The length of time that it takes for us to complete clinical trials and obtain regulatory approval for product marketing has in the past varied and we expect similar variability in the future. Even when clinical trials are successful, regulatory authorities may question the sufficiency for approval of the trial endpoints we have selected. We develop product candidates internally and through licensing collaborations, partnerships and joint ventures. Product candidates that are derived from relationships may be subject to disputes between the parties or may prove to be not as effective or as safe as we may have believed at the time of entering into such relationship. Also, we or others could identify safety, side effects or manufacturing problems with our products, including our devices, after they are on the market.

Our results may be affected by our ability to successfully market both new and existing products domestically and internationally, clinical and regulatory developments involving current and future products, sales growth of recently launched products, competition from other products including biosimilars, difficulties or delays in manufacturing our products and global economic conditions, including those resulting from geopolitical relations and government actions. In addition, sales of our products are affected by pricing pressure, political and public scrutiny and reimbursement policies imposed by third-party payers, including governments, private insurance plans and managed care providers and may be affected by regulatory, clinical and guideline developments and domestic and international trends toward managed care and healthcare cost containment. Furthermore, our research, testing, pricing, marketing and other operations are subject to extensive regulation by domestic and foreign government regulatory authorities. Our business may be impacted by government investigations, litigation and product liability claims. In addition, our business may be impacted by the adoption of new tax legislation or exposure to additional tax liabilities. Further, while we routinely obtain patents for our products and technology, the protection offered by our patents and patent applications may be challenged, invalidated or circumvented by our competitors, or we may fail to prevail in present and future intellectual property litigation. We perform a substantial amount of our commercial manufacturing activities at a few key facilities, including in Puerto Rico, and also depend on third parties for a portion of our manufacturing activities, and limits on supply may constrain sales of certain of our current products and product candidate development. An outbreak of disease or similar public health threat, and the public and governmental effort to mitigate against the spread of such disease, could have a significant adverse effect on the supply of materials for our manufacturing activities, the distribution of our products, the commercialization of our product candidates, and our clinical trial operations, and any such events may have a material adverse effect on our product development, product sales, business and results of operations. We rely on collaborations with third parties for the development of some of our product candidates and for the commercialization and sales of some of our commercial products. In addition, we compete with other companies with respect to many of our marketed products as well as for the discovery and development of new products. Further, some raw materials, medical devices and component parts for our products are supplied by sole third-party suppliers. Certain of our distributors, customers and payers have substantial purchasing leverage in their dealings with us. The discovery of significant problems with a product similar to one of our products that implicate an entire class of products could have a material adverse effect on sales of the affected products and on our business and results of operations. Our efforts to collaborate with or acquire other companies, products or technology, and to integrate the operations of companies or to support the products or technology we have acquired, may not be successful, and may result in unanticipated costs, delays or failures to realize the benefits of the transactions. A breakdown, cyberattack or information security breach of our information technology systems could compromise the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our systems and our data. Our stock price is volatile and may be affected by a number of events. Our business and operations may be negatively affected by the failure, or perceived failure, of achieving our sustainability objectives. The effects of global climate change and related natural disasters could negatively affect our business and operations. Global economic conditions may magnify certain risks that affect our business. Our business performance could affect or limit the ability of our Board of Directors to declare a dividend or our ability to pay a dividend or repurchase our common stock. We may not be able to access the capital and credit markets on terms that are favorable to us, or at all.

For Himel, there is significance in finding ways to be environmentally friendly even within something as small and everyday as a switch. Rather than treating sustainability as a feature reserved for large technologies, NERIO brings the idea into a product people interact with countless times at home.

For Wenjie Qi, the general manager of Himel, that is what gives the recognition wider relevance. "Sustainability becomes meaningful when it works in the real world," Qi said. "We look at how a product is made, but also how long it serves, how naturally it fits into people's spaces and whether it answers a genuine everyday need. NERIO brings those considerations together."

This attention to everyday living extends beyond NERIO. Himel's My Dream Home campaign is built around a simple thought: home is where the heart is. It reflects a more emotional view of the home—not simply as a collection of rooms and electrical functions, but as a place shaped around the people, moments and aspirations that matter.

That idea is reflected across Himel's growing home electrical offer. The Altivo Series brings design into everyday switches, while Himel's award-winning EV charging solutions bring smarter, more convenient charging into the home. Across its global portfolio, Himel continues to develop reliable and affordable products while responding to changing expectations around design, convenience and modern lifestyles.

For Qi, building that balance is an important part of Himel's global offer strategy.

"Our job is not to bring the same answer to every market," Qi said. "It is to understand what houseowners, electricians and partners actually need, and build offers around those realities. Reliability and affordability remain essential, but expectations around design, convenience and new forms of energy use are moving quickly. A strong global offer has to bring these together while staying accessible to the people it is designed for."

Founded in Spain in 1958, Himel is a global electrical brand guided by its Powering Infinity initiative. The NERIO award adds another chapter to that journey—showing how thoughtful product choices, even in the smallest details of a home, can contribute to better everyday living.

GUANGZHOU, China, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GAC has renewed its push in Kazakhstan with the GAC S7, a flagship hybrid SUV offered as a locally assembled model under its partnership with ALLUR Group. The launch gives GAC a more visible position in Central Asia at a time when Chinese automotive brands are expanding quickly across Kazakhstan and the wider CIS region.

The S7 is more than a single-model launch. It is part of GAC International's move from a pure export model toward localized production, sales and service in Kazakhstan. GAC International and ALLUR Group signed a KD, or knocked-down, production cooperation agreement in Guangzhou in February 2026. GAC later announced the agreement publicly on April 16, 2026, describing Kazakhstan as a strategic market for Central Asia and the CIS.

GAC cited the rapid rise of Chinese brands in Kazakhstan, saying their market share increased from 3.8% in 2020 to 38.5% in 2025. ALLUR also brings local manufacturing scale to the partnership: GAC and GAC Kazakhstan describe ALLUR as a leading automotive manufacturing and distribution group in Kazakhstan, with annual production capacity of more than 125,000 vehicles.

GAC Kazakhstan says the S7 is the first model used for the brand's official renewed entry into the local market and that it is assembled in Kazakhstan at ALLUR's Kostanay facility. The companies have also said the partnership is intended to cover a wider GAC lineup, including internal combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.

GAC and ALLUR used a media driving program near the Kapchagay Reservoir area for launch activities, with prepared routes designed to demonstrate all-wheel-drive behavior, suspension control and comfort on paved and uneven surfaces. Local media coverage also described the presentation around the Almaty region and Konaev area.

A more accurate conclusion is that the S7 marks a concrete local-production milestone for GAC in Kazakhstan and gives ALLUR a new hybrid SUV entry in the country's fast-changing automotive market.

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- KuCoin, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange built on trust, today announced a partnership with FinChain to integrate FUSD into KuCoin's RWA Collateral Mirroring Solution (RCMS). Through RCMS, yield-bearing FUSD can be connected through custody and mapped as collateral value, adding it to the list of assets supported as RCMS collateral.

Through this partnership, FUSD does not need to be sold beforehand or transferred directly to KuCoin. Its eligible collateral value, assessed within the designated custody framework, can be mapped to relevant KuCoin trading accounts in accordance with platform rules. Eligible institutional users can therefore keep their existing custody and yield arrangements, while using KuCoin's liquidity, trade execution, risk controls and position management capabilities to deploy capital more efficiently.

KuCoin Bridges RWA Assets and Trading Liquidity via RCMS

RCMS is KuCoin's off-exchange collateral infrastructure for institutional clients, designed to connect eligible RWA assets held in custody with trading accounts. Through RCMS, KuCoin incorporates mapped collateral value into the platform's collateral management, risk control, and position management processes, enabling custodied assets to support live trading activity in accordance with applicable rules.

RCMS is therefore more than a technical mechanism for mapping collateral value. It connects asset custody, collateral management, platform liquidity and trade execution within an integrated framework. Institutions can access trading and liquidity more flexibly, without frequently transferring or selling assets.

FUSD is backed by real-world assets such as money market funds and highly rated government bonds. Subject to platform rules, it can serve as both a yield-bearing asset and trading collateral, helping institutions reduce the trade-off between earning yield and accessing trading liquidity.

For KuCoin, the partnership expands the yield-bearing RWA assets supported by RCMS and further strengthens its role as both a trading platform and a provider of institutional market infrastructure. FinChain provides FUSD and its underlying asset backing. KuCoin, through RCMS, platform liquidity, trade execution, and risk management, makes eligible collateral value available for use in trading accounts. Together, the two sides create a complete process from RWA holding and custody to collateralization and trading.

Tika Lum, Head of Global Business Development - VIP & Institutional Business at KuCoin, said:

"For tokenized assets to become an integral component of market infrastructure, issuance and holding alone are insufficient; they must be used safely within prudent risk management frameworks. By adding FUSD to its range of RCMS-eligible collateral assets, KuCoin further connects RWA custodianship, collateral management, liquidity and trade execution, empowering institutions to deploy capital more efficiently while preserving their asset-holding arrangements. Grounded in trust, security and compliance, we will continue collaborating with partners to build institutional-grade infrastructure bridging traditional financial assets and digital asset markets."

Chen Zhao, CEO of FinChain, said: "We focus not merely on whether FUSD can be held, but whether it can be utilized within real-world trading infrastructure. Acting as collateral within RCMS enables FUSD to convert its underlying asset backing into usable collateral value while preserving yield-bearing performance. This facilitates more agile capital management for institutions across asset allocation, liquidity and strategy execution. Our collaboration with KuCoin marks a pivotal step for FUSD moving from asset issuance toward scenario-based application."

Compared with RWA products intended primarily for subscription and holding, FUSD, following its integration into RCMS, can also serve as eligible collateral within KuCoin's trading infrastructure. This arrangement links underlying asset backing, tokenization, custody connectivity, collateral management, risk control, platform liquidity and trade execution, further expanding FUSD's use in offshore digital asset markets. Going forward, the two parties will continue to work together on collateral eligibility assessment, custody connectivity, risk parameters, and offshore market expansion.

ESPOO, Finland, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The new Finnish startup is disrupting the ways of controlling large-scale quantum computers by delivering a completely new class of electronic devices - superconducting transistors. These novel devices combine the computational power of transistors with the ultra-low power dissipation of superconductors. S-Transistors is developing first-of-its-kind quantum motherboards that will provide energy- and cost-efficient orchestration of cryogenic quantum computers at scale.

Newly launched Finnish startup S-Transistors, originating from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, has raised €2.6 million in pre-seed funding to pioneer a fundamentally new class of integrated circuits based on superconducting transistors. The technology has several promising applications, from energy-efficient classical computing to spacecraft electronics, but quantum computing, in particular, stands to benefit most.

Today's cryogenically cooled superconducting quantum computers need a paradigm-changing solution to break the scaling limit of the quantum processing unit (QPU) - the array of quantum bits that, by analogy to a conventional CPU, does the quantum computing. That limit comes from the power-hungry, poorly scalable way quantum processors are controlled today: multiple expensive, bulky cables per qubit, running from the processor inside the cryostat out to room-temperature electronics. This is exactly where S-Transistors' superconducting transistor technology, which is already available at wafer scale, offers a solution that is radically more energy-efficient and compact than existing alternatives.

The funding round was led by Lifeline Ventures, a leading Nordic investor, and joined by an angel investor. S-Transistors is going to use the pre-seed funding to develop several product prototypes for cryogenic signal control and handling, set up its own cryogenic laboratory, establish a manufacturing pilot line for its unique integrated circuits based on superconducting transistors, and grow the team.

"Today's efforts in scaling cryogenic quantum computers have delivered tremendous progress, with several practical use cases already demonstrated. However, further scaling is approaching a hard wall, as it still relies on power-hungry room-temperature electronics and separate wiring for each quantum bit (qubit) - both used to operate the quantum computer and link it to the outside world. The clearest path forward, for superconducting quantum computers in particular, is to bring the classical control and interface hardware down into the cryostat, right next to the quantum chip kept cold to protect its fragile quantum states. The catch is that such integration is extremely demanding in power dissipation, speed, and energy efficiency," says Dr. Heorhii Bohuslavskyi, Co-founder and CEO of S-Transistors. "Superconducting transistors are exactly that missing piece of hardware for large-scale, energy-efficient quantum computing."

Cryogenic quantum computers, including those based on superconducting quantum bits, are considered among the most promising platforms for scaling quantum computing. Unlocking their full potential will require quantum machines with hundreds of thousands of qubits, along with new technologies capable of supporting such computing systems at that scale.

One key challenge is the electronics used to control the qubits and transmit signals to and from the quantum processor. Today, much of this equipment operates outside the cryogenic environment that hosts the quantum-processing chip. Moving it closer to the quantum processor and operating it at extremely low temperatures could significantly improve scalability.

However, this is not simply a matter of placing conventional chips in the cold. Although some industrial silicon transistors can operate at deep cryogenic temperatures, they struggle to combine the performance needed to control large numbers of qubits with extremely low power consumption. Excess heat can disrupt the cryogenic environment and interfere with the quantum processor's fragile operations.

Superconducting transistors offer a promising solution to this very problem. They combine ultra-low power consumption and high-speed performance with compatibility with the quantum processor's cryogenic environment.

"When you think about it, the transistor is the most mass-manufactured device in human history. By combining the transistor functionality, with its unparalleled computing potential, and the superconducting property of near-zero power dissipation in a single device, we can reach a completely new level of energy-efficient cryogenic computing. In the near term, this already solves the cryogenic signal routing and delivery problems the superconducting quantum computer, but the real vision is the quantum motherboard: a completely new platform for scaling quantum computers, operating at mK temperatures, and controlling the operation of qubit-based QPU," says Dr. Andrey Generalov, Co-founder and CTO of S-Transistors.

S-Transistors' first product is a superconducting-transistor-based multiplexer that plugs into existing cryogenic setups and speeds up the development and prototyping of various quantum devices. It will ship to early customers and strategic partners within the company's first year of operation. The multiplexer is the first logical step toward the quantum motherboard and, according to prospective customers and collaborators, it addresses one of the most acute pain points in scaling today's superconducting quantum computers.

The potential reaches well beyond quantum computing and sensing. First theorised in the 1980s, a scalable and reproducible superconducting transistor technology today has strong potential across classical and quantum computing, artificial intelligence and high-performance computing hardware, spacecraft electronics, and fundamental particle detectors. S-Transistors intends to be the one to take that first step from lab to fab, toward customer adoption of superconducting transistor technology.

"S-Transistors is one of those rare companies built around a genuinely new piece of fundamental technology that could become an enabling layer for an entire industry. As quantum computers scale from hundreds or thousands of qubits toward commercially useful machines, we believe superconducting transistors can become a critical part of the hardware stack that makes that scaling possible," says Jyri Engeström, Partner at Lifeline Ventures.

"Our strategy at VTT is to shorten the journey from idea to pilot, from pilot to commercial solution. We will continue to be a part of S-Transistors' journey as the company approaches the manufacturing phase. S-Transistors' superconducting transistor technology will allow us to reach the point where quantum computers finally provide real-world value," says Erja Turunen, Executive Vice President at VTT.

CHONGQING, China, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Western China's Melody is a cross-cultural music documentary co-created by the Western China International Communication Organization (WCICO) and Danish producer HEDEGAARD. Filmed across ten cities and ten ethnic groups, including Han, Tujia, Tibetan, Yi, Mongolian, Yugur, Hui, Zhuang, Dong, and Dai, the production team conducted immersive fieldwork, documenting endangered music traditions such as Adu High-Pitched Melody, Mongolian Tobshur, and Xizang Layi during the 7,200-kilometer journey.

Scan the QR code to explore the "Western China's Melody" journey.

HEDEGAARD, globally celebrated as the "King of Car Audio" with over 1.7 billion streams, spent two months trekking from the sacred snow-capped plateaus of Qinghai-Xizang to the tropical rainforests of Xishuangbanna. "I didn't want to 'use' these sounds," he shared. "I wanted to listen until they trusted me with their soul." Guided by WCICO director Feng Xiaolou, he immersed himself in everyday life, learning ancient instruments and vocal techniques from heritage bearers in fields and by fire pits while preserving each tradition's authenticity and cultural integrity.

This philosophy shaped the ten-episode series and companion album KINΔ, named to evoke both "China" and "kin," or family. Three signature tracks exemplify this approach: Drumroll re-imagines Tujia Luo'er Tunes as an anthem of resilience. Monolith transforms Xizang's Layi love song into a universal meditation on enduring love. Dancing with My Destiny features Cloudward Dong Angels' pure harmonies floating over atmospheric synth pads. As art critic Xue Jinwen observed, the project "replaces cultural extraction with equal dialogue."

The resonance traveled far. Within weeks of its July 27 global release, the documentary amassed over 25.8 million overseas views, with standout clips trending across Europe and Southeast Asia while the companion album topped niche electronic charts. The journey also culminated in a July 26 live concert ("Magnificent Land, Melody of Western China - Night of International Musical Story") at Chongqing's Guotai Art Center. HEDEGAARD performed alongside Tianqin players, Mongolian throat singers, and Dong children. Traditional instruments and voices met real-time electronic production, creating an immersive audiovisual experience that extended the film's message from screen to shared physical space.

From village courtyards to international screens and stages, Western China's Melody demonstrates that cultural exchange thrives not on cultural extraction but on mutual respect and humble curiosity. It offers a replicable model for telling local stories with global resonance, proving that when traditions are heard on their own terms, they naturally find new ears, new rhythms, and renewed life.

HANGZHOU, China, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The documentary series Cross-Border E-Commerce: Stories from China, produced by Hangzhou International Communication Center in partnership with China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area, has garnered over 8.35 million views on international platforms since its July release. It captures a profound shift: enterprises are evolving from selling goods to telling stories. Each product becomes a vessel for cross-cultural conversation.

The series profiles vivid cases that illustrate this transformation. A fishing rod made with aerospace-grade carbon fiber wins over Australian anglers through months of on-site testing and co-creation with local fishing associations. A pink toolbox, originally meant for hardware, is repurposed as a Mother's Day gift in North America, showing how understanding local lifestyles can turn a utility item into an emotional token. A rotating chair goes viral after a 14-million-view short video, selling 80,000 units in two months – thanks to a supply chain that delivers 90% of U.S. orders within two days. Another brand spends eight months developing cooling bedding for hot sleepers, proving patience and consumer insight matter more than speed.

Behind these stories lies Hangzhou's decade-long ecosystem: since 2015, the city's cross-border e-commerce trade volume has grown 1,266-fold, and seller numbers from 200 to over 65,000. The documentary shows how digital trade lowers barriers, enabling small and medium-sized enterprises to compete globally, build their own brands, and command pricing power. It also highlights emerging trends – AI-powered "one-person companies" using intelligent agents to handle design, marketing, and customer service; and bonded warehouses doubling as live-streaming studios to bring transparency and efficiency to global logistics.

Experts interviewed in the film emphasize that compliance is no longer optional but a passport to sustainable growth, while physical clusters like Alibaba Center turn "upstairs and downstairs into upstream and downstream," integrating entire industry chain in one space. The documentary even extends to Paris, where Hangzhou's enterprises and platforms have introduced over 3,500 French brands to China, and where an overseas warehouse enables three-day global delivery.

As scholars note, products convey professionalism, respect, and responsibility through design, quality, and service. Trade becomes daily life, daily life becomes stories, and stories become bridges connecting the world. In an era where e-commerce reshapes global economies, Hangzhou's experience offers a replicable model that commerce, when rooted in cultural empathy and innovation, can be the most authentic form of international communication.
