- Global Phase 3 trial will evaluate the darovasertib and crizotinib combination in primary uveal melanoma patients with increased risk of metastasis following completion of local therapy

- OptimUM-11 expands development of darovasertib across the uveal melanoma patient journey into the adjuvant setting, where there is a significant unmet need for systemic treatment options designed to reduce the risk of metastatic recurrence

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IDEAYA Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDYA), a leading precision medicine oncology company, and Servier, an independent international pharmaceutical group governed by a foundation, today announced that the first patient has been dosed in OptimUM-11, a global Phase 3 registrational trial evaluating darovasertib, a first-in-class oral protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor, in combination with crizotinib, an oral cMET inhibitor, as adjuvant therapy for patients with primary uveal melanoma who have completed local therapy and have an increased risk of developing metastatic disease. Currently, there are no approved adjuvant treatment options for patients with primary uveal melanoma.

"Dosing the first patient in OptimUM-11 represents an important milestone in our strategy to advance darovasertib across the uveal melanoma patient journey," said Darrin M. Beaupre, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical Officer of IDEAYA Biosciences. "Patients with primary uveal melanoma are commonly at risk for metastatic recurrence following treatment of their primary tumor, highlighting the need for an effective systemic therapy in the adjuvant setting to delay or prevent disease progression. We believe the darovasertib combination has the potential to address the principal pathways associated with the initiation and metastatic progression of uveal melanoma, and we look forward to working with our partner Servier and the global investigator community to advance this registrational trial."

"Preventing or delaying metastatic recurrence could fundamentally change the treatment journey for patients with high-risk primary uveal melanoma," said Arnaud Lallouette, Executive Vice President Global Medical & Patient Affairs at Servier. "Through OptimUM-11, Servier and IDEAYA are jointly advancing a global registrational study of the darovasertib combination with the goal of establishing a new adjuvant treatment option for patients worldwide."

OptimUM-11 is being conducted by IDEAYA in collaboration with its partner, Servier, to evaluate darovasertib in combination with crizotinib as an adjuvant therapy for patients with primary uveal melanoma. The trial is expected to enroll approximately 450 patients who have completed primary local therapy and have an increased risk of metastasis. Patients will be eligible irrespective of HLA status and will be randomized 1:1 to receive darovasertib in combination with crizotinib for 12 months or observation. The primary endpoint of the trial is relapse-free survival. IDEAYA retains regulatory and commercial rights to darovasertib in the United States, while Servier holds all such rights outside the United States. The companies will share the associated development costs of the trial.

About Darovasertib

Darovasertib is a potential first-in-class oral, small-molecule inhibitor of PKC. Darovasertib was designed to inhibit PKC isoforms downstream of the GNAQ and GNA11 oncogenic driver mutations that are present in nearly all uveal melanoma patients. Darovasertib is being evaluated in multiple clinical trials in uveal melanoma, including in patients with metastatic disease (OptimUM-01 and OptimUM-02), as well as in primary uveal melanoma as a neoadjuvant (OptimUM-09 and OptimUM-10) and adjuvant (OptimUM-11) therapy.

IDEAYA has initiated submission of a new drug application (NDA) for darovasertib in combination with crizotinib for patients with first line metastatic uveal melanoma (mUM) under the oncology center of excellence (OCE) real-time oncology review (RTOR) program and expects to complete the NDA submission in the second half of 2026. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has also granted darovasertib Fast Track designation for the treatment of mUM, Orphan Drug designation in primary uveal melanoma and Breakthrough Therapy Designation as a neoadjuvant therapy for patients with primary uveal melanoma for whom enucleation has been recommended. Darovasertib is an investigational product and has not been approved by the FDA or any other regulatory authority.

About Uveal Melanoma

Uveal melanoma is a rare and aggressive cancer arising from melanocytes in the eye and is biologically distinct from cutaneous melanoma. An estimated 10,000-12,000 new cases of primary uveal melanoma are diagnosed globally per year, including more than 3,000 new cases annually in the United States. Primary uveal melanoma is generally treated with local therapy, including plaque brachytherapy, radiation or surgical removal of the eye (enucleation). Despite effective control of the primary tumor, up to 50% of primary uveal melanoma patients eventually progress to metastatic disease. There remains a significant unmet need for systemic therapies capable of delaying or preventing metastatic disease progression following treatment of primary uveal melanoma.

About IDEAYA Biosciences

IDEAYA is a precision medicine oncology company committed to the discovery, development, and commercialization of transformative therapies to address unmet medical needs in cancer. The company integrates small-molecule drug discovery, structural biology and bioinformatics with extensive capabilities in identifying and validating translational biomarkers to develop potentially first-in-class targeted therapies for selected patient populations. IDEAYA has built a robust pipeline of targeted therapies focused on synthetic lethality and antibody-drug conjugates, or ADCs, including bispecifics, with the goal of improving clinical outcomes for patients with cancer.

The Farmer's Dog Named the NFL's First-Ever Official Pet Food Partner

The multi-year partnership kicks off with a new campaign starring New York Giants running back Cam

Skattebo and his senior rescue dog, Duke

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Farmer's Dog®, the leader in real, human-grade dog food, today announced a landmark, multi-year partnership with the National Football League (NFL), becoming the league's first-ever Official Pet Food Partner. The agreement brings The Farmer's Dog and its mission to one of the most influential cultural platforms in America, introducing millions more dog owners to the power of real food.

From players and their families to fans across the country, dogs are by our side through so much of life. They're part of the traditions that make game day special, there through big wins, tough losses, and all the moments in between. The partnership will shine a light on that bond and celebrate the special place dogs hold in the lives of people who love the game.

"The NFL is all about bringing people together through shared experiences and community," said Tracie Rodburg, senior vice president of global partnerships at the NFL. "Dogs are an important part of many families, and as the Official Pet Food Partner, The Farmer's Dog will help us celebrate the role they play in our lives and communities throughout the season."

Throughout the year, fans can expect exclusive content, experiences at some of the NFL's biggest moments—including Super Bowl LXI, the NFL Combine, and the NFL Draft—and community initiatives through programs like My Cause My Cleats, NFL Salute to Service, NFL FLAG, and more.

The partnership launches with New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo and his senior rescue dog, Duke, longtime customers of The Farmer's Dog whose bond embodies the campaign's message. The spot follows them through the moments fans rarely see—the early mornings, long drives, recoveries, and routines that shaped both of them long before the NFL. It also features his Dachshund puppies, Cheech and Daizy, celebrating the joy dogs bring at every stage of life.

"I've had Duke for every high and every low. He's been my teammate long before football became my career. I started feeding him The Farmer's Dog because I wanted as many healthy years with him as possible," said Skattebo. "If The Farmer's Dog teaming up with the NFL gets even one more person thinking differently about what they feed their dog, that's something I'm proud to be part of."

The NFL and Skattebo join a growing roster of partners—including The Oprah Podcast®, NASCAR Champion Ryan Blaney, and No. 1 U.S. women's tennis player Jess Pegula—who share The Farmer's Dog's belief in doing the best we can for our dogs. The company also serves as the Official Pet Food of the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and is coming off its Emmy-nominated, USA Today Ad Meter®-winning Super Bowl commercial, Forever.

"We understand more than ever how much what we eat impacts our health and performance. NFL players live that every day, and people increasingly recognize the same is true for their dogs," said Jonathan Regev, CEO and Co-Founder of The Farmer's Dog. "We started The Farmer's Dog because for too long, feeding your dog meant choosing between different versions of the same ultra-processed food. This partnership gives us an incredible opportunity to show millions more people there's a better way. Everything we do is about helping dogs live healthier lives and giving people more time with them—more games, more Sundays, and more seasons together. Dogs have an incredible ability to make our lives better, and we're proud to partner with the NFL to celebrate that bond and what it means to have a dog by your side through all of it."

NetAlly Launches the First-Ever 100G Network Tester Designed for Enterprise Networks
Image File
Original HTML

All-new LinkRunner 100G - professional-grade performance and precision tool network engineers need to troubleshoot and upgrade critical 100G fiber links.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- NetAlly today announced LinkRunner® 100G, a handheld tester built to validate and troubleshoot high-speed fiber links increasingly moving beyond data centers and into enterprise networks. With the press of a single button, LinkRunner 100G AutoTest tells a network technician whether a 100G link is healthy — and if it isn't, exactly what's wrong. At $8,999 plus an AllyCare Pro subscription, LinkRunner 100G delivers the professional-grade diagnostics network engineers expect from a 100G tester at a price built for enterprise IT.

"AI is driving a networking super-cycle, pushing higher-speed networks beyond the data center and into the enterprise," said Jeff O'Mara, CEO of NetAlly. "Until today, the tools to support those networks were expensive and highly specialized for big telco providers. Enterprise IT is different. We built LinkRunner 100G to give enterprise network professionals the tool they need to deploy, fix, and upgrade these networks."

As 25G, 40G, 50G, and 100G networks become more common in enterprise environments, IT teams are being asked to manage fiber networks that operate differently from the lower-speed connections they have traditionally supported. Troubleshooting networks running on twisted-pair copper up to 10G has been eased by rich automation specified by IEEE standards for auto-negotiation of speed, power, and polarity. None of this automation exists for 100G networks, resulting in brittle, hard-coded configurations. Vendors further complicate the space with proprietary, complex transceivers that modify encodings and bit rates to gain advantages in fiber efficiency and bandwidth.

LinkRunner 100G is designed specifically for these new challenges faced by network support teams, allowing technicians to run a full diagnostic at the push of a button, with no specialized fiber training required.

With LinkRunner 100G, network pros solve problems on 100G networks with simple, automated steps:

- Catch configuration mismatches that can leave a Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 28 (QSFP28) port down, even when nothing is actually broken. QSFP Insights identifies the transceiver, fiber type, speed, and Forward Error Correction (FEC) settings, helping uncover mismatches that can be difficult to spot through the switch alone.

- Pinpoint the problem to make the fix, rather than guessing. NetAlly's EZ Wired app validates the link speed, FEC, interfaces, network services, and application connectivity as well as transceiver operation. Since each parameter must be set by the user on the switches, knowing the exact set of parameters provides the network pro with the recipe for success.

- See where the traffic is actually getting stuck, rather than assuming the problem is the link being tested. Path Analysis traces the network path from the tester to its destination, hop by hop, revealing when a slowdown originates elsewhere, such as an overloaded switch several hops away.

- Identify when a 100G link is trending in a bad direction and may be close to failing – before it does. Forward Error Correction (FEC), which enables higher-speed fiber connections by correcting damaged bits, can mask a degrading link while the network continues to operate. AutoTest catches failures before your users do and captures the information in Link-Live.

- Verify that the network performs as specified and prove that you are getting the performance you paid for. Use Performance Test to validate newly deployed infrastructure, troubleshoot existing networks, and confirm expected throughput.

"Higher-speed fiber is quickly becoming part of the enterprise network, and IT teams need to be ready for it," O'Mara said. "If you're responsible for links above 10G, LinkRunner 100G belongs in your toolkit."

LinkRunner 100G is handheld and battery-powered, so technicians can take it on any call, not just escalations. Results are translated into plain-language answers rather than error codes and can be uploaded to Link-Live, NetAlly's collaboration and reporting platform, so a technician can share a full report instead of a screenshot.

Pricing and Availability

LinkRunner 100G is now available for $8,999, plus an AllyCare Pro subscription, through NetAlly's network of authorized resellers. For full details, visit www.netally.com.

Inside the Egg Industry: Mercy For Animals Investigation Documents the Killing of Newly Hatched Male Chicks

An estimated 7 billion male chicks are killed worldwide each year, as alternatives to chick culling become increasingly available

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- For decades, chick culling, the routine killing of newly hatched male chicks because they cannot lay eggs and are not considered profitable by the egg industry, has been treated as an unavoidable part of egg production. An estimated 7 billion newly hatched male chicks, approximately 200 every second, are killed worldwide each year.

But as technologies and other alternatives become increasingly available, that is beginning to change. In-ovo sexing technology can identify the sex of an embryo before hatching, providing one pathway for eliminating the need to kill male chicks after they are born. The technology is already being used commercially, and countries and companies are beginning to move away from chick culling. Yet despite these advances, billions of newly hatched male chicks continue to be killed each year, raising questions about why the practice persists when alternatives are available.

A new Mercy For Animals investigation provides a firsthand look at chick culling inside a commercial hatchery.

The investigation documents newly hatched male chicks being forcibly separated from female chicks and killed shortly after hatching. Depending on the facility, common methods of chick culling include maceration and gassing. The investigation also documented deformed or unsold female chicks being discarded through the same process.

The findings come as chick culling begins to change elsewhere. Germany and France have banned the practice, while in-ovo sexing technology has reached commercial use in markets, including the United States and Brazil. Canada has also seen the development of technology capable of determining sex as early as day four of incubation.

"Every year, billions of chicks are killed simply because they are born male," said Arash Yomtobian, president and CEO of Mercy For Animals. "The technology to end this practice already exists. There is no justification for allowing it to continue."

"Given the serious ethical concerns created by traditional chick culling, it is very promising to see the advancements in in-ovo sexing technologies," said Andrew Knight, veterinary professor of animal welfare. "MRI with AI approaches have achieved more than 99% accuracy, processing times under one second, and costs that average only one cent per table egg. More importantly, these technologies are able to identify male embryos prior to day 13, meaning that they are very unlikely to experience any pain. With hatcheries quickly adopting the technology in Europe and now the United States, we can eliminate chick culling in the near future."

"Most people have never heard of chick culling, despite the enormous scale of the practice," Yomtobian said. "Mercy For Animals wants to change that. By helping more people understand what is happening and what alternatives exist, we can build the public support needed to move the industry toward ending chick culling."

Through Crack the System, a new global campaign, Mercy For Animals is calling for an end to chick culling and supports policies and industry action that move egg production away from the routine killing of newly hatched male chicks.

New Data From Ashby Reveals EMEA Recruiters are Absorbing Rising Application Volume Without Slowing Hiring
Image File
Original HTML

"EMEA recruiting teams are facing more incoming volume, screening more candidates, and making more hires per recruiter than they were a few years ago, largely absorbing that load without it becoming unmanageable," the report found.

Application volume has doubled since 2021

Applications per hire in EMEA have doubled over the five-year period studied, with the sharpest rise occurring from 2022 into 2023. That growth has not been even across job functions: business roles in EMEA receive a comparable volume of applications to those in the Americas (170 per hire in EMEA versus 229 in AMER), while technical roles show a far wider gap, with AMER technical roles receiving more than double the applications per hire seen in EMEA (610 versus 254).

Amanda Johnson, Head of Global Talent Acquisition at DeepL, described how being an AI company has put this rise in inbound volume into sharp focus.

"Our inbound has doubled since I joined in 2024," said Johnson. "I think a lot of it is the AI buzz where candidates are moving from more traditional SaaS companies toward AI companies. But now we're also competing with every other AI company that's opened in London, so it cuts both ways."

Recruiters are getting more done despite the added load

Even as application volume has grown, hires per recruiter in EMEA have climbed to an all-time high, fluctuating between roughly 3.8 and 4.8 hires per quarter over the past three years. The number of candidates interviewed per hire has also climbed steadily, reaching double digits by the end of 2024.

Célia Sauthier, Director of Talent Acquisition at Moss, said her team has felt this pressure directly, with interview volume rising by around 30% without a corresponding increase in hires.

"When you look at the numbers, it's very compelling," said Sauthier. "You're spending a lot of time reviewing applicants when 5–7% progress to the next step. So we've had to become more intentional about auto-rejections."

The candidate experience has stayed remarkably consistent

Despite the added pressure on recruiting teams, the experience for candidates who are ultimately hired has barely changed. EMEA candidates have spent between 2.4 and 2.9 hours interviewing before receiving an offer every year since 2021, and the number of interview events per hired candidate has only ticked up slightly.

EMEA candidates have also consistently had somewhat better odds of securing an interview than their counterparts in the Americas, though that advantage disappears by the offer stage, where conversion rates in both regions have converged to a similar range in recent years.

Hiring timelines have held steady

Time to Hire in EMEA has remained in the 37–43 day range since 2021, tracking closely with the Americas despite the added workload recruiting teams have absorbed at every stage of the funnel. Inbound applications now account for more than half of all hires in the region (54.3%), while reliance on recruiting agencies has fallen by roughly half since 2021.

Sam Wright, Technical Recruiter at Ashby, noted that hiring speed alone doesn't capture the full picture for candidates in Europe, where longer statutory notice periods can extend the time between an accepted offer and a candidate's start date.

"Taken together, the findings reflect a region where recruiting teams have taken on considerably more work across the hiring funnel," said Wright, "without that added weight being passed on to candidates or slowing down how quickly roles get filled."

DFI Introduces One Board, Two CPU Generations Mini-ITX Platform to Advance Physical AI for Robotics and Automation

TAIPEI, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DFI, a Qisda Group company and a global leader in embedded motherboards and industrial computers, introduces the ARH171/ARH173, expanding its AI-ready portfolio with a Mini-ITX platform built for space-constrained, mission-critical deployments. Powered by Intel® technologies, the ARH171/ARH173 is purpose-built to handle demanding Physical AI workloads from perception to reasoning, enabling next-generation smart logistics and industrial automation.

As Physical AI transitions to operational deployment, intralogistics is driving rapid mobile automation adoption. Mordor Intelligence projects the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) market to expand at a CAGR of nearly 15% through 2029 to counter labor shortages, while advanced systems like 3D cube storage robots require on-device AI to navigate floors, climb racks, and process dense sensor streams in real time.

Flexibility starts at the board level. The ARH171/ARH173 adopts a unified "One Board, Two Generations" architecture, supporting 16 Intel® Core™ Ultra processor options across Meteor Lake-U/H and Arrow Lake-U/H (15–28W; Intel vPro® available on select SKUs). Delivering up to 99 total platform TOPS on Arrow Lake-H models, its integrated Intel® Arc™ GPU and dedicated NPU accelerate AI inference via OpenVINO™, DirectML, and ONNX RT. This lowers reliance on discrete graphics, reducing thermal and spatial overhead while enabling system integrators to scale across performance tiers using a unified platform architecture. The launch will further leverage DFI's core strengths in embedded computing to support Qisda Group's overall strategy across its four AI business categories: "AI Vision & Display," "AI Infrastructure," "AI Solutions & Smart Manufacturing," and "AI Hospital & Wellness Ecosystem."

"System integrators developing next-generation autonomous logistics robots need to shorten validation cycles and avoid recurring redesign costs," said Claire Tien, President of DFI. "By supporting two processor generations on a unified board architecture, the ARH171/ARH173 simplifies long-term platform planning, delivers on-chip AI acceleration, and supports continuous operation through hardware-level remote management."

Once deployed, reliable operation and reduced on-site maintenance become critical. Engineered for 24/7 robotic deployments, the ARH173 features a 12–28V wide-range DC input, up to three 2.5GbE LAN ports, and modular M.2 expansion for flexible sensor integration. To simplify field maintenance, the optional DFI EXT-OOB module enables out-of-band power cycling and OS recovery even if the primary system is unresponsive, while integrated Intel vPro® technology (on select SKUs) provides comprehensive remote hardware management.

From board to system to solution, the ARH171/ARH173 delivers a deployment-ready foundation that consolidates dual-generation scalability, native AI performance, and remote management into a single validation point, reducing engineering overhead and accelerating the transition from pilot to production.
