Purchase, N.Y. – October 05, 2026 -- Pepsi is marking the New York Knicks' championship season with limited-edition cans and bottles that give fans a shot at winning game tickets. The "Champions Deserve Pepsi" campaign launched October 5, ahead of the Knicks' 2026–27 season tip-off at Madison Square Garden.
Limited-edition 16 oz Pepsi x Knicks Championship cans, along with 20 oz Pepsi and Pepsi Zero Sugar x Knicks bottles, are now on shelves at participating retailers across the Tri-State region. Shoppers can scan a QR code at point of sale for a chance to win tickets to a Knicks game inside The Garden.
Ninety-four fans will win tickets, one for each point in the championship-clinching game
The sweepstakes offers 94 fans a chance to attend a game at The Garden, a number chosen to match the Knicks' 94–90 Game 5 victory that secured the 2026 title. The promotion runs through December 31, 2026, and is open to legal U.S. residents 18 and older living in New York, Connecticut or New Jersey within 150 miles of Madison Square Garden, subject to official rules at Pepsi's promotional site.
Knicks legend John Starks surprised fans with an early look at the new cans
Former Knicks shooting guard John Starks appeared at an event where select fans got a first glimpse of the commemorative championship cans. "New York fans bring an energy you can't find anywhere else, and they deserve to be at The Garden celebrating this team," Starks said.
New digital billboards featuring real images of fans from the playoffs are set to appear on New York City streets around season tip-off. The campaign builds on two earlier Pepsi initiatives during the playoffs: a collector-can scavenger hunt across the five boroughs called Knicks Fans Deserve Pepsi, and WE OUTSIDE, which turned photos of fans from Games 3 and 4 into city billboards in real time.
Gustavo Reyna, VP of Marketing at Pepsi, said the fans inspired the campaign from the start, calling it a celebration of "an incredible championship and the New Yorkers who were there for it."
Pepsi has served as the official soft drink partner of Madison Square Garden and part of Knicks game days since 2018.
