Shanghai Electric Reports 16.6% Revenue Growth in H1 2026 as New Orders Reach CNY 100.39 Billion

Accelerated deployment of green energy and industrial AI technologies, with project progress in European and Middle Eastern markets

SHANGHAI, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Shanghai Electric (SEHK: 02727, SSE: 601727) has released its interim results for the first half of 2026. During the reporting period, it achieved operating revenue of CNY 63.332 billion (USD 9.17 billion), up 16.6% year‑on‑year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached CNY 970 million (USD 140.49 million), an increase of 18.2%; and new orders totaled CNY 100.39 billion (USD 14.54 billion), marking further progress in energy transition, high‑end intelligent manufacturing, and international expansion.

Sustained momentum across three business pillars, with orders providing long‑term visibility

Shanghai Electric's Energy Equipment segment posted revenue of CNY 36.558 billion (USD 5.29 billion), up 21.4% year‑on‑year, driven by growth in its wind power and energy storage businesses. The Industrial Equipment segment generated CNY 18.954 billion (USD 2.75 billion) in revenue, a 1.9% increase, as digital and smart technologies reinforced its position in machine tools, elevators, and industrial components. The Integrated Services segment achieved revenue of CNY 10.862 billion (USD 1.57 billion), up 31.5%. The segment continued to strengthen its capabilities in supply chain coordination, customized solutions, and full-lifecycle services.

Of the new orders, Energy Equipment accounted for CNY 64.24 billion (USD 9.30 billion)—including CNY 12.39 billion (USD 1.79 billion) for wind power equipment, CNY 11.44 billion (USD 1.66 billion) for energy storage equipment, CNY 4.57 billion (USD 661.91 million) for nuclear power equipment, and CNY 20.23 billion (USD 2.93 billion) for coal‑fired power generation equipment. New orders for Industrial Equipment and Integrated Services stood at CNY 21.25 billion (USD 3.08 billion) and CNY 14.91 billion (USD 2.16 billion), respectively.

Advancing overseas project expansion and localized operations

During the reporting period, Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator secured the contract for the Dubai Palm Island Phase II project, supplying 700 high-end elevators and related services.

Marking its first large-scale entry into Europe's high-end market, Shanghai Electric's power transmission and distribution business won a contract to supply high- and low-voltage switchgear for a hyperscale data center in Finland.

The company also signed a contract for the Minety Phase II Stonehill Energy Storage Project (50 MW/150 MWh) in the UK, further reinforcing its strategic footprint in the European premium energy storage market.

Shanghai Electric has established a "1+N+6" international business management network, with newly opened regional headquarters in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa driving global business synergy and strengthening localized operations across key markets.

Technology- and innovation- driven strategy breaks new ground in green energy and high-end manufacturing

In green fuels, the company's proprietary "green power + biomass gasification to green methanol" full‑chain technology, validated in Jilin's Taonan project, has secured the EPC contract for the Lanzhou New Area 100,000‑ton/year biomass green methanol project (Phase I), now under construction.

In new energy and high‑end equipment, the company has mastered key nuclear equipment manufacturing and testing technologies, with offshore wind orders exceeding 2 GW. The company also contributed to the full commissioning of the Huai'an Salt Cavern Compressed Air Energy Storage Project—the world's largest.

In industrial intelligence, the "SUYUAN 2.0" humanoid robot made its domestic debut, with over 40 AI agents deployed across R&D, production, and maintenance. The SEunicloud Industrial Internet Platform has connected about 1.16 million devices and developed over 60 industry‑specific digital solutions.

Looking ahead, Shanghai Electric will focus on coordination and efficiency, international expansion, and digitalization to advance the high-end, intelligent, green, and integrated development of its businesses.

Peak3 launches the first global insurance AI-DLC, alongside its AI-native core system

Graphene Harness turns insurance software delivery into an AI production line. Graphene v4 gives agents a governed core to run and change the business.

SINGAPORE, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Peak3, a global provider of digital and AI-driven insurance software, today announced Graphene v4, the AI-native evolution of its insurance core platform, and Graphene Harness, an end-to-end AI-driven delivery lifecycle (AI-DLC) for building, testing, migrating and maintaining insurance systems.

Insurance is among the most complex and heavily regulated industries, and among the slowest to change its software. That makes it one of the hardest tests of what AI can actually do. Graphene Harness is Peak3's answer: not AI applied to a single step of the work, but AI applied to the whole production line that builds and maintains the mission-critical systems and agents insurers run on.

Bill Song, CEO of Peak3: "We are disrupting ourselves. Peak3 is moving from selling software and related services to providing the production line that builds it — our entire AI-DLC."

Graphene v4: a governed core for agents across Life, P&C and Health

Graphene v4 includes the Graphene Agent Platform, a model-agnostic platform to build, run, observe and govern AI agents, with a marketplace of pre-built agents for tasks such as medical underwriting, conversational first notice of loss, intelligent document processing and fraud detection in claims. With v4, agents move beyond running the business to changing it: they (re-)configure insurance products, calculations and rules from unstructured documents and natural-language prompts, grounded in the insurer's own knowledge and data. Configuration work that traditionally takes days is completed in minutes to hours.

Graphene is open and headless by architecture. Every capability is exposed to agents through APIs, MCP and CLI, so an agent acts on the core directly instead of driving a user interface, under access management, strict attribution and detailed logging of every agent interaction, enforced at code level rather than through prompt-level guardrails.

Graphene v4 can also be deployed standalone, as a lightweight middle layer between AI agents and an insurer's existing systems of record. This gives insurers a fast route to agent-ready core capabilities without a complex core replacement.

Graphene v4 also widens functional breadth across all three major business lines: the complete group health lifecycle including provider network management; commercial lines with co-insurance and reinsurance administered inside the core; indexed universal life and crypto-denominated policies; and native Takaful support alongside conventional business.

Graphene Harness: the first global insurance AI-DLC

Graphene Harness is an end-to-end AI-driven delivery lifecycle for insurance software, built on a virtual scrum team model. Peak3 distilled the working knowledge of its most experienced staff into digital twins of every key delivery role — business analyst, architect, engineer, tester, reviewer — and connected every stage of the lifecycle into one governed system: agent teams running on an AI engineering platform, grounded in a curated knowledge base, and connected with AI-driven testing, migration, diagnostics and CI/CD.

Peak3 builds and maintains Graphene itself on Graphene Harness today. It is now being made available to selected implementation partners who deploy Graphene, and Peak3 intends to make it available to clients over the next 6 to 12 months. Alongside Graphene Harness, Peak3 is expanding its forward deployed engineering teams, who build AI-first operations alongside client teams across both Peak3 platforms and the client's existing stack.

What this changes for the insurance industry

Insurance IT cost has been anchored to headcount and elapsed time. An AI production line breaks that link: the same scope is delivered by a smaller team in a shorter cycle. Where Graphene Harness is applied, Peak3 is already achieving a 50% reduction in end-to-end new-feature development and core system implementation cost, with timelines reduced accordingly. Peak3's stated ambition is 80% within 18 to 36 months. An insurer using Graphene Harness also owns the means of changing its core system, rather than depending on a vendor's delivery organisation.

Additional detail on Graphene v4 and Graphene Harness is available in the Graphene v4 Release Highlights here. For more information, visit www.peak3.com.

Castelion Moves Blackbeard into Production with U.S. Navy Order Valued Up to $200 Million

Navy order transitions Blackbeard from early operational capability prototypes to production rounds under a SBIR Phase III award

TORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Castelion today announced a production delivery order from the U.S. Navy, with a total value of up to $200 million, to manufacture, assemble, test, and deliver an initial lot of Blackbeard Hypersonic Weapons to the fleet. Awarded by Portfolio Acquisition Executive Aviation (PAE(A)) through its Future Capability Development and Integration Aviation Rapid Capabilities Cell, these rounds will follow the 50 Early Operational Capability (EOC) weapons ordered in June of this year.

Blackbeard's rapid transition to production is a result of the U.S. Navy's embrace of commercial innovation and private investment to accelerate carrier-based long range hypersonic strike.

"The Navy's decision to move into production reflects its confidence in the Blackbeard program, and the progress we've made together," said Bryon Hargis, Co-founder and CEO of Castelion. "That's how you get capability to the fleet fast, clear red tape, and partner with industry. We are grateful to PAE(A) for the trust and the urgency. Blackbeard was engineered from day one for the production line, and we look forward to delivering this capability to the fleet."

Blackbeard is an air-launched hypersonic strike weapon that gives naval aviation a responsive, long-range, high-speed strike option against maritime and land targets, significantly increasing magazine depth and expanding the lethal reach of naval aviation. The award builds on a series of U.S. Army and U.S. Navy platform integration contracts.

Castelion has developed Blackbeard with hundreds of millions of dollars in private investment in partnership with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and U.S. Air Force. Blackbeard's production strategy involves the use of vertical integration and commercial manufacturing methods, giving the company greater control over cost, quality, and schedule from raw material to finished round.

Work under the award will be performed at Project Ranger, the company's 1,000-acre manufacturing campus in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and at its facility in Torrance, California.

About Castelion

Castelion builds American hypersonic deterrence through rapid, affordable, and scalable production of advanced strike weapons. Blackbeard is the first U.S. hypersonic weapon engineered from inception for industrial-rate output, commercial unit cost, and continuous flight test iteration. The company is headquartered in Torrance, California, with manufacturing operations in New Mexico, Texas, and California, and offices in Washington D.C. www.castelion.com.

Corteva Categorically Rejects Unfounded, Unprecedented Allegations by State Attorneys General
Image File

Future crop protection company will be a strongly capitalized market leader with compelling value proposition for farmers, shareholders

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Corteva, Inc. (NYSE: CTVA) categorically rejects the attempt by a number of State Attorneys General to prevent Corteva's planned separation. The planned separation of the company will result in the creation of two companies built to lead their respective industries. The crop protection company, which will retain the Corteva brand, will be an innovation-driven market leader at a time when innovative, safe, effective crop protection has never been more needed by farmers fighting intensifying pest, disease and weed pressures that rob yield and threaten food security.

Corteva will vigorously defend its planned separation against the attempt by the State Attorneys General to stop it on the basis of alleged PFAS liabilities. The underlying claims on which this extraordinary relief is sought are speculative and unproven, relying on novel legal theories and groundless assumptions. California and the other States petitioning for this relief do not have judgments against Corteva. They do not even have trials scheduled against Corteva related to PFAS liability.

Moreover, in its seven-year history, Corteva has never made, sold or traded PFOA or PFOS products. Corteva's balance sheet will be well-equipped to cover any liability it might face.

"As we've stated from the beginning, our planned separation is an acknowledgement that our two businesses have different business models and will better deliver for farmers separately than they do together – meaning that the separation should result in stronger companies built for growth," said Corteva Chief Legal Officer Jennifer Johnson. "Corteva neither has nor has demonstrated any intent to hinder, delay, or defraud our creditors."

"Companies need flexibility to engage in transactions like this to continue to innovate and generate value for their customers and shareholders," said Johnson. "States are seeking extraordinary and, we believe, unprecedented relief, and in doing so, they are asking the court to supplant the judgment of our Board of Directors as well as our senior management team. We firmly believe the separation is in the best interest of our stakeholders and empowers each company to pursue its ideal strategy to enhance shareholder value. We will vigorously defend our ability to make decisions about our own company, including its separation, in every way possible."

About Corteva

(NYSE: CTVA) is a global pure-play agriculture company that combines industry-leading innovation, high-touch customer engagement and operational execution to profitably deliver solutions for the world's most pressing agriculture challenges. KanEquip JCB Rolls into Kansas City
Image File
Original HTML

Founder Jim Meinhardt established KanEquip, Inc. in 1999. In 2019, his sons, Bryndon and Grant Meinhardt, acquired majority ownership and have continued to grow the business, expanding its presence and representing a full complement of equipment brands serving agricultural and construction customers.

From Wheel Loaders to a Full Line of JCB Equipment

KanEquip's relationship with JCB began in 2019 with a focus on the manufacturer's award-winning wheel loaders and telehandlers. Since then, JCB has grown into one of KanEquip's major equipment brands, second only to its CNH product lines, Case IH and New Holland.

In 2025, KanEquip was recognized by JCB as one of the three largest Fastrac dealers in the world.

"We were able to pick up the line in 2019. We really thought it would be just some wheel loaders and some telehandlers, and it's grown much beyond that," said Grant Meinhardt, Vice President/General Manager of KanEquip JCB.

Kansas City Opportunity Built Around People

The sale of CSTK (Central States Thermo King) to Trane, Inc. created an opportunity for KanEquip JCB to enter the Kansas City market while continuing to provide local support to JCB customers.

JCB products are currently offered at six KanEquip locations across Kansas. The Kansas City location represents the company's first dealership dedicated exclusively to the JCB brand.

For KanEquip, however, entering the Kansas City market was about more than adding another location. The company saw an opportunity to build on its long-standing relationship with former CSTK employees and bring their experience and knowledge of JCB equipment to the new operation.

The two companies worked alongside one another for years, and Meinhardt said retaining experienced employees was the key factor in KanEquip's decision to enter the market.

"They've had employees there since 2014. They know what they are doing. They had a good representation as far as the rental house market. If we can save those guys, we have something," Meinhardt said. "That's really what we were going after in the Kansas City market — the employees. We were able to save a number of the employees, and we're really blessed to have them because they are very good at their jobs."

Continuing a Commitment to Customer Support

The new KanEquip JCB location will provide customers throughout the Kansas City area with equipment sales, parts and service support.

Customers can expect the same level of service, support and professionalism that KanEquip has built its reputation on across its locations, backed by the resources of the larger KanEquip organization.

Building for the Future

The Kansas City expansion represents a significant next step for KanEquip, Inc. as the company continues to grow its relationship with JCB and expand its presence in Kansas.

The company also sees the expansion as an opportunity to create jobs, develop new customer relationships and become an active member of the Kansas City business community.

FirstService Residential communities raise more than $56,000 in honor of the 25th anniversary of September 11
Image File
Original HTML

DALLAS, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Two Texas communities professionally managed by FirstService Residential marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks by bringing residents, first responders and local partners together in remembrance, service and support for charitable causes.

Events at Pecan Square in Northlake and The Austonian in downtown Austin raised more than $56,000 for organizations supporting first responders, veterans and their families. While each community observed the anniversary in its own way, both events shared a common purpose: honoring those lost on September 11, recognizing the sacrifices of first responders and strengthening community connections.

"Twenty-five years later, September 11 continues to remind us of the courage of our first responders and the strength we find when communities come together," said Katie Ward, president of west region at FirstService Residential. "The residents, team members and partners who participated turned remembrance into meaningful support for people and families who have sacrificed so much. We are grateful to everyone who helped make these events possible."

Pecan Square climbs in honor of first responders

Pecan Square hosted the "25 Years of Remembrance, 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb" in its 22,000-square-foot arena. The day began with a moment of silence and commemorative ceremony before residents, first responders and guests participated in the stair climb throughout the day.

The participants climbed 5,850 floors on stair climbers, the equivalent of 53 ascents of the World Trade Center. The event raised more than $16,000 for Building Homes for Heroes, a national nonprofit that builds and modifies homes for injured veterans, first responders and their families.

Developed by Hillwood Communities, Pecan Square is a 1,200-acre master-planned community in Northlake with approximately 5,000 residents. The event brought together residents from Pecan Square, Harvest and neighboring communities alongside local police, fire and emergency services personnel. Support from Hillwood Communities, FirstService Residential, Life Fitness, Primoris Electrical, Premier Lighting and other community partners helped make the event possible.

"The impact of this event was measured in more than floors climbed or dollars raised," Katie said. "It was visible in every resident, first responder, volunteer and partner who showed up for one another. Seeing so many people come together to honor, remember and support others was a powerful reminder of what community is all about."

The Austonian climbs 110 flights for local heroes

At The Austonian, more than 250 residents and guests climbed 110 flights through the building's stairwell in tribute to the first responders who ascended the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001.

The event raised more than $40,000 for the 100 Club of Central Texas, which supports the families of first responders who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.

Among those completing all 110 flights were Jose Depaz and Valentina Baez, members of The Austonian's facilities team and FirstService Residential who also serve in the U.S. Army Reserve.

"In a high-rise community, neighbors can cross paths every day without truly connecting," said Susan Ward-Freeman, president of the high-rise division at FirstService Residential Texas. "What made this event so special was the way it brought people together around a shared purpose. Every step and every dollar raised represented gratitude and support for the first responders who serve our communities every day."

Located at 200 Congress Ave. in the heart of downtown Austin, The Austonian is a 56-story residential tower known for its luxury residences and expansive resident amenities.

Remembering through action

Both events demonstrated the power of residents, community leaders and local organizations coming together in support of a shared cause.

Together, participants climbed thousands of floors, raised more than $56,000 and paid tribute to the lives lost on September 11. Most importantly, they transformed remembrance into action, creating meaningful support for first responders, veterans and the families who continue to sacrifice in service to others.

Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Performs First Minima Stent Procedure for Infants with Congenital Heart Conditions

First FDA-approved stent designed specifically for the smallest patients with certain congenital heart and vascular conditions.

LONG BEACH, Calif., Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Children's Heart Institute at Miller Children's & Women's Hospital has successfully performed the Renata Minima Stent procedure in two patients, expanding treatment options for newborns and infants with narrowed blood vessels and certain congenital heart conditions who previously faced limited treatment alternatives. The minimally invasive procedure offers a new option for some of Miller Children's & Women's smallest patients. Unlike traditional stents, which may not be able to expand to adult size and may need to be replaced as a child grows, the Minima Stent can be placed in infancy and expanded over time to reach an adult-sized blood vessel, potentially preventing additional higher-risk surgeries.

The Minima Stent is the first FDA-approved stent system designed specifically to treat pulmonary artery stenosis or coarctation of the aorta in neonates, infants and children weighing at least 1.5 kg (3.3 pounds). Developed specifically for the smallest patients, it addresses a longstanding gap in pediatric heart and vascular care, as most stents currently available were originally adapted from adult use.

"This technology represents a meaningful advancement in how we care for our smallest and most vulnerable patients," said Saar Danon, M.D., medical director, Pediatric Cardiology & Congenital Cardiac Catheterization, Children's Heart Institute, Miller Children's & Women's Hospital. "Being able to place a stent that can grow with a child allows us to treat serious vascular conditions earlier while minimizing future surgeries."

The stent is implanted using a minimally invasive, catheter-based approach, typically through a vein or artery in the leg. This technique can help physicians avoid open-heart surgery in infants with vascular stenosis, a condition that restricts blood flow and places significant strain on the heart. By restoring normal blood flow, the procedure can help improve circulation and support healthy growth and development.

The procedure is performed in Miller Children's & Women's dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratory, which is equipped with advanced bi-plane imaging technology. This imaging allows physicians to view blood flow from two angles simultaneously, creating a detailed roadmap to guide precise treatment for each patient's unique anatomy.

The Children's Heart Institute provides prenatal, infant, pediatric and adult heart care for patients with congenital or acquired heart disease. Its multidisciplinary team includes pediatric cardiologists, congenital cardiac surgeons, cardiac intensivists, anesthesiologists, nurses and therapists who coordinate care from diagnosis through recovery and long-term follow-up. Children who need intensive monitoring after a procedure receive specialized care in Miller Children's & Women's dedicated Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.

"For families facing an unexpected congenital heart diagnosis, having access to advanced treatment options close to home can make an overwhelming moment more manageable," said Dr. Cynthia Herrington, M.D., cardiothoracic surgeon, Children's Heart Institute, Miller Children's & Women's Hospital. "Our goal is to support both patients and families at every step, from the initial diagnosis through recovery and beyond."

Sempra Infrastructure Announces Long-Term LNG Supply Agreement with Petrobras
Image File
Original HTML

HOUSTON, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sempra Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Sempra (NYSE: SRE), today announced a 20-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Petrobras, under which Sempra Infrastructure will supply approximately 0.8 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). LNG will be sourced from Sempra Infrastructure's contracted liquefaction capacity at the Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 project, currently under construction in Jefferson County, Texas.

"We are pleased to welcome Petrobras as the first South American company in our LNG customer portfolio, marking an important milestone for Sempra Infrastructure's growing LNG business," said Justin Bird, CEO of Sempra Infrastructure. "This long-term agreement establishes a strategic relationship with one of the world's leading energy companies and underscores the important role Sempra Infrastructure plays in providing reliable and secure U.S. natural gas to a growing list of customers around the world."

Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 is strategically positioned to help meet global energy demand and reached a positive final investment decision in September 2025. The project will include two liquefaction trains capable of producing approximately 13 Mtpa of LNG, which will increase the total liquefaction capacity of the Port Arthur LNG facility from approximately 13 Mtpa for Phase 1 to up to approximately 26 Mtpa. Port Arthur LNG Phase 1, which is also currently under construction, is expected to achieve commercial operations at or near the end of 2027 and in 2028 for trains 1 and 2, respectively, and Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 is expected to achieve commercial operations in 2030 and 2031 for trains 3 and 4, respectively. Future phases are also in the early development stage.

Beyond its expanded liquefaction capacity, Port Arthur LNG will benefit from strategic access to abundant U.S. natural gas resource basins, robust midstream connectivity and scalable infrastructure. As a cornerstone of Sempra Infrastructure's dual-coast strategy, the Port Arthur LNG facility will play a critical role in expanding access to secure, reliable U.S. natural gas supplies for customers across both Atlantic and Pacific Basin markets.

Teamsters Demand City Council Pass Logistics Reform Ordinance

CHICAGO, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hundreds of Amazon Teamsters in Chicago will be joined by local elected officials and labor and civil society coalition allies for a rally on Tuesday, September 15. The workers will be calling on the Chicago City Council to ban Amazon's corrupt third-party Delivery Service Partner model.

This ordinance follows the success of the Teamsters-backed Delivery Protection Act in New York City, which has received supermajority support from the New York City Council and Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The time to pass this critical legislation in Chicago has come.
