Temu Expands Seller Education with Bureau Veritas, QIMA and TÜV SÜD

DUBLIN, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Temu is expanding its seller education programs in collaboration with eight global product testing and certification organizations, including Bureau Veritas, QIMA and TÜV SÜD. The courses help sellers on Temu understand the product safety and certification requirements that apply to their products and markets.

The training courses give sellers direct access to independent specialists who explain how regulatory requirements apply to their products. Sellers also have testing and certification support available to them on the platform.

The courses are livestreamed through the Temu Seller Academy. Sessions held in August recorded more than 4,000 views by sellers in total and over 2,000 interactions. For example:

- Bureau Veritas provided an overview of European toy safety requirements, including regulatory updates, labeling rules and physical and chemical risks.

- TÜV SÜD covered testing and certification requirements for children's toys in Europe and the United States, focusing on risk mitigation through product design and material selection.

The August program also included a session led by SPEAC, an EU-funded product safety project, on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and practical requirements for online sellers.

Upcoming sessions will cover electronics, textiles, footwear, cosmetics and food-contact materials.

"Every new market brings fresh obligations, from product safety rules to testing and certification," said a Temu spokesperson. "By organizing these training sessions with industry leaders, we give sellers direct access to specialists and practical information they can apply to their own operations and products."

Temu held more than 100 meetings with trade associations, chambers of commerce and start-up networks in Europe in the first half of 2026 to understand the difficulties small businesses face in selling online. The practical demands of selling in multiple markets came up consistently, and that feedback informs Temu's broader support for sellers.

The seller education programs form part of this support, alongside dedicated onboarding teams that provide continued guidance through Temu's Local Seller Program. Sellers can also connect their existing business software to Temu through more than 200 ERP integrations and access a network of more than 150 delivery providers across Europe, including DHL Group and La Poste.

Temu is deepening its engagement with Europe's business communities, and has signed memorandums of understanding with Start:up Slovenia, Portugal's APDC, Cyprus's CITEA and Switzerland's SKV to contribute to knowledge-sharing. Temu has also joined Cross-Border Commerce Europe to participate in EU dialogue on cross-border e-commerce.

Tegene Robot Introduces 3D Sorter Portfolio for Warehouse and Parcel Operations

Configurations for standard parcels, high-throughput operations, complex items and future expansion

BEIJING, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Beijing Tegene Robots Co., Ltd. (Tegene Robot) has introduced a 3D Sorter portfolio for warehouse and parcel operations. The portfolio covers standard parcel sorting, high-throughput operations, complex-item handling and modular expansion. Tegene designs each configuration around parcel characteristics, throughput, the number of destinations, available space, system interfaces and future expansion requirements. The company provides solution design, equipment delivery, on-site commissioning and ongoing operational and after-sales support for parcel and express logistics, cross-border e-commerce, retail and third-party logistics (3PL) customers.

The 3D Sorter Series includes the 3D Sorter for standard parcels and multi-destination sorting; 3D Sorter M for high-throughput, multi-layer operations; 3D Sorter E for non-conveyable (NC) items, flat parcels, envelopes and complex destination flows; and 3D Sorter X for modular chute expansion. Published maximum mechanical throughput and configuration specifications include 24,500 pph and up to 1,000 chutes for the 3D Sorter, 40,000 pph for the 3D Sorter M, and 31,000 pph with up to 1,500 configurable chutes for the 3D Sorter E. Actual configurations depend on parcel size, weight, packaging condition, the number of destinations, site layout, induction method, system interfaces and project design.

In operations where cross-belt sorters process standard parcels, the 3D Sorter E is positioned as a complement rather than a replacement. Its multi-cart vertical structure, three-dimensional chute layout and multi-item design support complex items and destination flows in a coordinated sorting system. Under suitable parcel and project conditions, this can reduce re-induction, manual transfers and intermediate buffering.

Tegene has served customers including SHEIN, CIDER, SF Express, Watsons, Shopee and Temu across cross-border e-commerce, parcel logistics, retail and 3PL operations. The company supports projects in China, the United States, Europe and other Asian markets through regional teams and partners. Its global service network provides 24/7 remote diagnostics, original spare-parts support and local technical coordination for overseas warehousing, cross-border fulfillment, parcel sorting and system integration projects.

About Tegene Robot

Founded in 2022, Tegene Robot develops intelligent sorting solutions for logistics and warehousing. It operates its own intelligent manufacturing base of more than 20,000 square meters. Its services include site and workflow assessment, equipment configuration, system interfaces, delivery, commissioning, operational support and after-sales service.

Global AI Visionary and Expert Mo Gawdat to Headline Bahrain Fintech Forward 2026

MANAMA, Bahrain, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Chief Business Officer of Google X, bestselling author, entrepreneur, and internationally recognised AI expert Mo Gawdat has joined Fintech Forward 2026's speaker lineup to share his perspective on the future of artificial intelligence, human judgment, and responsible decision-making. Gawdat's participation comes at a time when AI is commanding global attention as businesses, regulators, and the public navigate questions around trust, accountability, and the role of human oversight in increasingly intelligent systems. The region's flagship financial services forum will take place on 7-8 October 2026 at Exhibition World Bahrain, under the theme 'Finance in the Age of Intelligent Infrastructure'.

Gawdat's 27-year career spans IBM, NCR, Microsoft, and Google, where he helped launch nearly half of Google's global operations before becoming Chief Business Officer at Google X, the innovation lab behind moonshot projects including self-driving cars, Project Loon, and Makani. He is also the founder of the One Billion Happy movement, host of Slo Mo: A Podcast with Mo Gawdat, and author of international bestsellers including Solve for Happy, Scary Smart, That Little Voice in Your Head, Unstressable, and Alive. His work on AI, happiness, and human potential has made him one of the world's most distinctive voices on how advanced technologies can be shaped by human values.

At FF26, Gawdat will take part in a fireside chat titled 'When Intelligence Is Everywhere: What Should Humans Still Decide?' The session will explore how AI is being embedded across industries, including financial services, where intelligent systems are increasingly shaping decisions around money, investing, risk, and customer interaction. The discussion will examine what this shift means for judgment, ethics, and accountability, and where human decision-making remains essential as machines become more capable of prediction and action.

Speaking on his participation, Mo Gawdat said: "AI is no longer a distant technology; it is becoming part of the infrastructure behind our choices, our institutions, and our financial systems. The real test is not simply how powerful these systems become, but whether we remain clear about the decisions that require human judgment and values. I look forward to joining Fintech Forward 2026 in Bahrain to explore these topics with some of the key players shaping the financial services industry in the region."

Financial services remains Bahrain's largest economic sector, contributing 17.6% to GDP in 2025, underlining the Kingdom's role as one of the region's most established financial centres. Building on more than a century of sector expertise, Bahrain continues to strengthen its fintech ecosystem through innovative financial institutions and a future-proofed talent pool.

Hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) and supported by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority (BTEA), and Bahrain Fintech Bay, Fintech Forward 2026 is programmed by Forbes Middle East. CFG : EUROPE'S €91.6 BILLION UNREGULATED GAMBLING ECONOMY

EU27 enforcement gap leaves 72% of online gambling revenue (GGR) outside the local regulatory perimeter.

BRUSSELS, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- New EU 27 analysis finds 72% of online gambling revenue is unregulated — while 91% of the content encountered by consumers actively interacting with gambling promotes the unregulated sector.

The new report, Online Gambling 2024–2025: EU 27 Europe, produced by Gaming Compliance International (GCI) for the Campaign for Fairer Gambling (CFG), finds that unregulated online GGR rose from €52.6 billion in 2023 to €91.6 billion in 2025 — an increase of 74% in two years.

In 2025, unregulated online gambling operators generated an estimated €91.6 billion GGR from EU 27 consumers — 72% of Europe's €128.0 billion online gambling marketplace. That activity took place outside the local regulatory perimeter, with attendant risks for consumer protection, taxation, licensing and regulatory oversight.

The Enforcement Gap Begins Before the Bet

The €91.6 billion shows the scale of activity outside the regulatory perimeter. The bigger warning is what happens before the money changes hands.

In 2025, 121 million Europeans were reached by online gambling content, 88 million were reached by content from unregulated operators. Among consumers actively interacting with online gambling, 91% of the content they encountered promoted the unregulated sector.

The report identifies an ecosystem extending far beyond gambling websites: affiliates, social media, advertising, search, apps, payments, P2P communications and illegal streaming all help operators find audiences, convert customers and monetize them.

One Marketplace, Two Sectors, An Interconnected Ecosystem

Unregulated gambling operates through interconnected infrastructure. Websites can change. Domains can move. Audiences can be redirected. Payments, advertising, affiliates, apps, social media and streaming provide the commercial infrastructure that allows the business to continue.

Crime operates across the total marketplace. Intelligence and enforcement must too.

Leadership Commentary:

Derek Webb, Founder of the Campaign for Fairer Gambling, said:

"Europe has an enforcement failure occurring in plain sight. €91.6 billion in online gambling revenue was generated outside the local regulatory perimeter in 2025. That scale should focus attention on enforcement — on operators evading local rules and the infrastructure that enables them to reach European consumers.

"The answer is not weaker regulation or tax concessions for licensed operators. Europe has an enforcement problem. Unregulated gambling operates across borders, platforms and infrastructure while enforcement remains overwhelmingly national.

"A licence 'from somewhere' is not permission to operate everywhere."

Ismail Vali, President of Gaming Compliance International (GCI), and founder and former CEO of Yield Sec, said:

"The €91.6 billion measures the scale of gambling taking place outside the local regulatory perimeter in 2025. Unregulated online operators, and their affiliate and influencer marketing supply chains, were behind 91% of the online content encountered by audiences interested in online gambling in 2025 — a warning of the scale of unregulated activity Europe could face next.

"By the time the bet is placed, the battle for the customer may already have been lost. Unregulated gambling is winning audience attention before the consumer ever reaches a gambling site.

"Six thousand unregulated operators are not six thousand separate problems. They rely on the same ecosystem to advertise, find consumers, distribute products, move money, and stay online. That is also their vulnerability.

"You cannot optimize what you do not measure. Europe needs to see the whole marketplace — regulated and unregulated — and enforce across the ecosystem that sustains it."

From pressure to potential: new report reveals opportunity to increase healthcare capacity
Original HTML

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Mölnlycke Health Care (Mölnlycke®), a global leader in MedTech, today announces the launch of The Hidden Capacity Report, a new international report revealing significant opportunities to expand day surgery and help healthcare systems improve efficiency, increase surgical throughput and enhance patient outcomes.

Healthcare systems around the world face growing pressure to increase capacity while managing workforce constraints, financial pressures and rising demand for surgery. Day surgery offers one of the most effective opportunities to address these challenges by enabling clinically appropriate procedures to be performed safely without an overnight stay.

Advances in surgery, anesthesia, patient care and recovery pathways have made day surgery a viable option for an increasing number of procedures. Yet, despite strong evidence supporting day surgery1, adoption remains inconsistent across countries, healthcare organisations, specialties and individual clinical teams. Even in settings where day surgery is well established, there remains scope to make better use of available capacity as evidence, technologies and capabilities continue to evolve.

The Hidden Capacity Report explores the barriers, enablers and policy measures associated with expanding day surgery safely and at scale. The findings are based on a review of international literature, a survey of 256 healthcare professionals across ten countries, expert interviews and guidance from an international expert panel of key opinion leaders.1

Key findings:

- Significant opportunities remain to expand day surgery across healthcare systems.

- Day surgery should increasingly become the default pathway for clinically appropriate procedures.

- Greater adoption can help reduce waiting times, improve productivity and optimise use of healthcare resources.

- Progress is often limited by implementation and pathway design, rather than clinical feasability.

- Efforts to expand day surgery must consider and address potential health inequalities.

Mr. David Bunting, Consultant in Upper Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgery, North Devon District Hospital, United Kingdom, says:

"Our healthcare systems are now under huge pressure to deliver greater productivity with finite resources, whilst maintaining quality and safety of care with improved patient outcomes. Day surgery is now well recognised as a solution to support elective recovery. It frees up in-patient beds for those with more acute medical needs or more complex surgical needs and improves hospital flow. Day surgery is also preferred by patients."

Fredrik Wallefors, Executive Vice President Operating Room Solutions at Mölnlycke Health Care, says:

"Healthcare systems are under growing pressure to do more with less. The Hidden Capacity Report brings together evidence and expert insights to support the conversation on how safe, efficient and patient-centred day surgery pathways can help healthcare leaders make better use of existing resources while improving access to care."

The report reflects Mölnlycke's commitment to supporting sustainable healthcare through evidence, innovation and collaboration. It is intended to stimulate dialogue with healthcare leaders, clinicians and policymakers on practical ways to improve healthcare system resilience, efficiency and patient outcomes.

Noma Named a Market Shaper in Gartner® Emerging Market Quadrant for AI Application Security - Startup Vendors

Recognition places Noma in the quadrant Gartner defines as "Full-Spectrum, Context-Aware Agentic Security," as enterprises move to secure and govern AI agents at runtime

NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Noma, the market-leading enterprise AI and agent security platform, today announced it has been recognized as a Market Shaper in the Gartner® Emerging Market Quadrant (EMQ) for AI Application Security – Startup Vendors. Noma was placed in the Market Shapers quadrant, which Gartner characterizes as "Full-Spectrum, Context-Aware Agentic Security."

According to the report, "Vendors in this quadrant move beyond the mandatory features of AI application security to focus on analyzing the full spectrum of AI agents' behaviors, such as user requests, user intent, agents' instructions, intent, memory, skills, tool use, data access, and system modification actions. They compare an agent's intended instructions and permissions with its real behavior to identify deviations or misuse, and they use comprehensive scanning of code repositories and deployment pipelines to map all connections and potential risks."

As enterprises move AI agents into production across cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and developer endpoints, security teams face a new class of risk. Agents choose which tools to call, chain actions across long sessions, and operate with permissions that no one continuously verifies against what the agent was asked to do. Security vendors are adapting. Gartner states: "They are refining their mechanisms for determining and enforcing least-privilege principles and intent drift detection, which is a security monitoring capability for agentic AI systems that tracks whether an agent's actions remain aligned with the user's original stated goal as the agent operates autonomously over several steps."

"Securing agents comes down to two questions: what is this agent supposed to do, and what is it actually doing right now," said Niv Braun, CEO and Co-Founder of Noma. "Answering them takes context that no single-layer tool has: the agent's posture, what it is connected to, its blast radius, and its intent, compared against its real behavior at runtime. We built Noma so enterprises can define policy for every agent in one place, enforce it across the infrastructure they already run, and let agents work at full speed without acting outside their boundaries."

We believe Noma's placement reflects four capabilities that distinguish its agent security and governance platform:

- Coverage of every agent, wherever it runs. Noma secures endpoint agents such as Claude Code and Cursor, SaaS agents built in Copilot Studio and Agentforce, and cloud and homegrown agents on Bedrock, Azure, and Databricks, all from one platform. Noma is deployed on more than 2.6 million endpoints.

- A unified agent control plane. Enterprises define policy once, in Noma's AI Constitution, and Noma enforces it across every agent type and every category of risk: agents that make mistakes, agents that drift from their instructions, and agents manipulated by an adversary. Policy spans risky behavior and threats, access and identity, and business operations.

- Context for the right runtime decision. Noma's Runtime Context Engine combines posture (what an agent is connected to, its permissions, its blast radius, and its baseline behavior) with intent (what the agent was asked to do and what it is actually doing across a session). Runtime response ranges from steering an agent mid-session to masking sensitive data, blocking a single action, or terminating the agent's operation.

- Architecture flexibility. Through open enforcement, Noma decouples the security and governance control plane from AI infrastructure. Policy is enforced through native integrations with gateways including Kong, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, LiteLLM, TrueFoundry, and MCP gateways; native hooks inside Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot; SDKs and APIs for homegrown agents; and direct partner integrations with Databricks and Microsoft.

Noma operates under multiyear enterprise license agreements with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organizations across financial services, pharma, insurance, and technology. Databricks is both a strategic partner and an early investor in the company, and Noma's direct integrations with Databricks, Microsoft, and AWS extend its enforcement into the AI infrastructure enterprises already run.

This recognition follows Noma's designation as a Cool Vendor in the Cool Vendors™ in AI Security. Noma has also been named in Gartner research including the Market Guide for Guardian Agents, the Innovation Guide for AI Agents, the Innovation Insight for AI Application Security, the Market Overview for AI Usage Control, Innovation Insight: AI Bills of Materials (AIBOMs) Strengthen AI Governance, Emerging Tech: The Future of AI Security Is in Securing Agent Actions, Not Prompts, and Agent 365: Strong for Microsoft Agents, but Users Still Need Platform-Agnostic Governance and Security.

Gartner recommended actions for Market Shapers is "Deploy these tools for complex, homegrown multiagent applications that require deep runtime monitoring and security testing." We believe Noma gives those organizations the agent security and governance to run agents at scale, with policy defined once and enforced at runtime across every agent and every environment.

2026 World Manufacturing Convention: From Product Displays to Integrated Manufacturing Ecosystems

More than 900 companies and 10,000-plus exhibits bring China's smart manufacturing value chains to life

HEFEI, China, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2026 World Manufacturing Convention opened Sept. 20 at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center, where a humanoid robot landed a pitch-pot throw, an inspection robot patrolled and an electric cargo drone demonstrated vertical takeoff and landing at Luogang Park.

Running through Sept. 23 under the theme "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future," the 70,000-square-meter convention allocates 20,000 square meters to manufacturing innovation and achievements and 50,000 to commercial exhibits. More than 900 companies present 10,000-plus products and technologies.

Organizers structured the exhibition around manufacturing value chains.

In the smart mining equipment area, a three-dimensional cutaway model showcases Huainan's mining robotics cluster, anchored by T.SPEC and Tangxing Technology. It recreates the workflow from underground roadway development to shaft hoisting and demonstrates eight core applications, including excavation and roof support, roadway tunneling, materials and pipe handling, hydraulic-support transport, shaft-rope replacement and coal-bunker cleaning, with every equipment model shown in operation.

The manufacturing innovation and achievements pavilion features a 180-qubit superconducting quantum processor; BEST, the Burning Plasma Experimental Superconducting Tokamak, or "artificial sun," being developed as a pathway toward fusion energy; the Lingjing Zaowu AI research platform from the Scientific Intelligence Materials Creation Center; solid-state transformers; and a ground-based planetary-environment simulation facility. Bringing together quantum technologies, hydrogen and fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied AI, 6G and advanced materials—all requiring sustained R&D—the pavilion reflects manufacturing's shift from scale-driven expansion to innovation-led growth.

The exhibits move beyond products to present interconnected manufacturing ecosystems.

The smart and connected vehicle area spans finished vehicles, EV batteries, automotive semiconductors and by-wire chassis systems. The next-generation information technology and clean-energy zone covers power infrastructure for AI, computing capacity, human-machine interfaces and AI-enabled applications. Biomanufacturing exhibits trace development from gene editing, cell-factory R&D and pilot-scale optimization to intelligent high-volume production and commercial deployment.

Guest province Sichuan is highlighting regional manufacturing collaboration under the theme "Smart Manufacturing in Tianfu, Connected to Global Value Chains." The international zone features multinationals, including Continental Tires and Corning Display Technologies, and China-based joint ventures. The United Kingdom is the first country to return as guest country of honor.

In the technology-enabled senior care area, Anhui Longchuang Intelligent Technology demonstrated millimeter-wave radar that detects falls and alerts family members and nearby care or emergency teams without a call for help. In bedrooms, an alert delay of about one minute prevents ordinary movements, including bending or squatting, from generating false alarms. The company's smart-space management platform serves more than 50,000 senior care facilities and homes.

From components to advanced equipment, the convention tracks China's transition from "Made in China" to "Smart Manufacturing in China." In the first seven months of 2026, Anhui produced 2.0158 million vehicles, including 1.0903 million electric vehicles, and exported 1.227 million, ranking among China's leaders across several measures. The figures offer evidence of the transformation underway.

A Full Moon for Every Child: STARTRADER's STARCARES Brings Support to SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City

The Mid-Autumn initiative delivered gift sets, household essentials and direct financial support to 213 people at the village in Go Vap.

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- STARCARES, the corporate social responsibility programme of global multi-asset broker STARTRADER, hosted "A Full Moon for Every Child," a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration at SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City in Go Vap. The on-site festival for the 60 children at the village was paired with essential supplies and cash support reaching 213 people, including house mothers and staff.

Every child received a gift set containing a lantern, cookies, a water bottle, a milk pack and a colouring kit. Hygiene, cleaning and pantry supplies were delivered to the village houses, alongside financial support for operating costs.

The village provides long-term, family-based care and education for approximately 160 children, from infants through university students, who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care. Since 2023, cuts to international aid have pressured operations, with remaining funding committed only through 2026. Contributions support tuition, caregiver salaries and the infrastructure that keeps these families together.

SOS Children's Village plans care in years, not one-off gestures. STARCARES is built the same way, favouring recurring commitments under its Child Welfare & Community Aid pillar.

"The village was already doing the hard part long before we arrived. Our job is to make the practical side steadier, so the people raising these children can plan instead of improvise." - Peter Karsten, CEO, STARTRADER.

"Support like this reaches our children in two ways. The essentials and funding ease real pressure on our households, and the celebration itself tells every child here that they are seen and thought of. That matters as much as anything we can put on a shelf." - Mr. Hoang Long, Director, SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City.

STARCARES intends to extend this work across communities where STARTRADER operates.
