SEATTLE, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- McGee Air Services has elected Ben Reed as President, effective Oct. 1, formalizing the leadership role he has held on an interim basis for the past six months. The appointment recognizes Reed's business and operations expertise, commitment to safety and long-term dedication to Alaska Air Group.

As President, Reed oversees more than 3,200 employees at Alaska Airlines' subsidiary, managing ground services across six airports. He directs strategy, growth and financial performance while fostering a culture rooted in safety, service, integrity, mutual respect, accountability, and pride. A 17-year veteran of Alaska Air Group, Reed was one of McGee's founding leaders, helping launch the organization in 2016 and shape its operation and culture from the ground up. Since starting with McGee in 2016, Reed has held the managing director of safety and compliance role twice — from 2016 to 2017 and from 2020 until 2025. He also led the Seattle station as managing director of operations from 2017 to 2020 and again from November 2025 until March 2026, when he was named interim President.

Prior to joining McGee, Reed held multiple leadership roles at Alaska Airlines after joining the company in 2009, including internal audit manager, manager of airports quality assurance, director of aviation security and regulatory compliance, and director of station operations support.

"McGee is an important part of how we deliver on Alaska Accelerate safely, reliably and with care for our guests and employees every day," said Jason Berry, Alaska Airlines chief operating officer and chair of the McGee Board. "Ben brings deep operational experience, strong relationships across Alaska Air Group and a clear commitment to McGee's people, making him the right leader for this next chapter."

Reed's appointment brings leadership continuity to McGee as the organization continues supporting Alaska Airlines' ground operations across the network.

DRB Group Taps Alta Home Lending to Launch DRB Home Loans Across the West

DRB Group selects Alta after a competitive search and extensive due diligence

SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Alta Home Lending has been selected by DRB Group, one of the nation's largest homebuilders, as its mortgage joint venture partner in the West, following a competitive search and extensive due diligence. The new venture, DRB Home Loans, will serve DRB homebuyers in Texas, Colorado and Arizona. DRB Group announced the partnership on September 23, 2026.

"We ran Alta through a rigorous process and called references across the builder community. The feedback was consistent," said Matt Wolf, VP of Financial Services at DRB Group. "Their performance history held up, and they were willing to structure the venture around how we actually run our business rather than handing us a standard model."

"No two builders run their businesses the same way, so no two joint ventures should look the same," said Andrina Valdes, CEO of Alta Home Lending. "We design each JV around what matters most to that builder, whether that's forward commitments, incentive costs or something unique to their operation. That's what makes the partnership work for the builder and their buyers."

Alta's builder division is led by Valdes, a leading voice in builder joint venture lending with more than 25 years in the industry, and Michelle Gonzales, Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. Together, they have launched mortgage joint ventures with some of the nation's most respected homebuilders, including several on the Builder 100 list.

"In this market, we are seeing more builders looking to switch their JV lender in search of a more transparent partner that offers better execution and sales support to win more buyers," said Gonzales.

Alta's executive team is built to scale alongside its builder partners, and with additional builder partnerships expected, the company is positioned to grow with them.

About Alta Home Lending

Founded in 1994, Alta Home Lending is a privately held mortgage banker with a joint venture platform built for homebuilders who expect more from their mortgage partner. Led by CEO Andrina Valdes and Managing Director Manuel Valdes, Alta serves homebuyers in 21 states through its retail lending team and its joint venture partnerships with some of the nation's leading homebuilders.

iLOQ and Kimi Räikkönen unlock the next generation in new global campaign

New campaign builds on iLOQ's longstanding relationship with the Räikkönen family, bringing Kimi and aspiring young racer Robin together to explore what one generation can give the next – and a new chapter in Kimi's life as father and mentor

OULU, Finland, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- iLOQ, a global technology company providing sustainable smart access management solutions that enhance security, flexibility and convenience, has partnered with Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen and his son Robin Räikkönen for a new global brand campaign centered on the next generation – and the opportunities that can be created when they are given access to move forward.

Under the theme "The Next Generation Is Coming," the campaign builds on iLOQ's longstanding relationship with the Räikkönen family and its broader history of sports partnerships. Having supported Kimi for many years, iLOQ extended that relationship to Robin as he began his own racing journey. The campaign now follows Kimi and Robin at a moment when their respective relationships with racing look very different. Kimi, who retired from Formula 1 in 2021 after a career spanning more than two decades, is now supporting Robin as he develops his own path in karting. As Robin begins to make his own mark on the track and see results from years of hard work, the campaign captures a coming-of-age moment in that journey – and the perseverance, commitment and independence being passed from one generation to the next.

For Kimi, that has meant exchanging the driver's seat for a new role.

"I'm a mechanic now, so it's different," said Kimi Räikkönen. "I enjoy doing the mechanic work for Robin and supporting him, and trying to explain some corners – maybe you should try this or that. But I always give him his own option. I only say, maybe this could be better, and at least give it a go – and then it's up to him to choose."

The campaign's focus on opening opportunities for the next generation reflects iLOQ's broader vision of what access can enable. Through its battery-free digital locking and mobile access solutions, iLOQ enables secure access to the places people need to enter, while the new campaign takes that idea beyond the literal door to consider what access can make possible.

"Access has always been at the heart of what we do, but what really matters is what it makes possible," said Heikki Hiltunen, iLOQ Board Member and former CEO. "We've worked with Kimi for many years because he personifies many of the values that have shaped iLOQ – integrity, hard work, perseverance, and the confidence and competence to deliver beyond what people expect. Our own story has always been about combining that heritage with innovation and continuing to move forward. Supporting Robin as he begins his own journey feels like a natural next chapter. It's about opening opportunities for the next generation and giving them the freedom to make those opportunities their own."

The campaign marks a different kind of appearance for Räikkönen. Rather than looking back at his Formula 1 career, the campaign focuses on what comes next for his family – racing, the lessons he is passing on to Robin and his belief that young athletes need space to develop independently.

That extends to how Kimi approaches Robin's development. While data and video analysis have become an increasingly familiar part of modern motorsport, Räikkönen says their approach is deliberately more instinctive.

"We don't really look at videos, we don't look at data, and I don't own a computer, so it's slightly different than maybe many others," Räikkönen said. "But I prefer that he learns himself. It's probably going to take longer, but at least he figures out in his own head what is the correct way. And I think if he wants to keep going and try to achieve something in the future, it's the better way."

For Räikkönen, that also means taking a longer view of what success looks like. While results matter, he says watching Robin learn and continue to enjoy racing is more important than any individual finish.

The campaign is led by a cinematic hero film featuring Kimi and Robin together on the racetrack, supported by photography, digital and out-of-home advertising, and a four-part interview content series with Kimi. Conversations explore his transition from racing to supporting Robin, his philosophy on developing young talent, the realities of family life around racing, and what experience has taught him about learning from the past while continuing to look forward.

The campaign will roll out across iLOQ's key global markets through digital out-of-home, social media, print, online video and other channels, alongside iLOQ's own platforms, industry events and partner communications, continuing to build on the longstanding relationship between iLOQ and the Räikkönen family.

Memorial Maintains Historic Low Tax Rate
Image File
Original HTML

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners has unanimously approved maintaining its millage rate at 0.0805, the lowest in the district's recorded history.

The 0.0805 rate was established in 2025 following 15 consecutive years of millage rate reductions. Maintaining the rate comes as Memorial Healthcare System continues to expand services, facilities and access to care across South Florida while maintaining a strong financial position.

"Maintaining the lowest tax rate in the district's history reflects our commitment to being responsible with taxpayer dollars," said Elizabeth Justen, chair of the South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners. "It's a commitment we're proud to continue while keeping the needs of our community at the center of every decision."

Despite rising healthcare costs and continued industry pressures, Memorial continues to make significant investments in patient care, technology, facilities and access to services. The health system's financial performance has enabled it to support those investments while limiting its reliance on property tax revenue.

"Memorial's financial strength gives us the ability to invest in the future without placing a greater tax burden on our community," said Shane Strum, president and CEO of Memorial Healthcare System. "We are expanding access, strengthening our facilities and advancing the care we provide while maintaining the financial discipline that has positioned Memorial for long-term success."

What Does the Millage Rate Mean?

The approved 0.0805 millage rate is projected to generate approximately $8.3 million in gross tax revenues. After accounting for early payment discounts and estimated uncollectible taxes, the net revenue will be directed exclusively toward statutory governmental obligations, including:

- Broward County's Medicaid Match Program

- Contributions to community redevelopment agencies (CRAs)

- Property appraiser fees

As in previous years, these obligations result in a net expense for the district. No tax dollars will be used to fund uncompensated care throughout Memorial's health system. Instead, these critical services will continue to be fully supported through operating income.

About Memorial Healthcare System

South Florida-based Memorial Healthcare System is a national leader in quality care and patient, physician and employee satisfaction. Its commitment to deeper caring, smarter health and community outreach prioritizes a person-centered approach that has delivered safe, positive outcomes for more than 70 years.

Memorial is committed to healing the body, mind and spirit of those in its care. For more information, visit mhs.net and connect on Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Fresenius Medical Care Refines China Commercial Strategy with a Focus on Long-Term Growth and Market Leadership
Image File
Original HTML

- Refinements support the Company's China go-to-market and commercial strategy in an important and growing market

- Strategy focuses on localized portfolio and innovation in China

- Portfolio decisions expected to result in related one-time costs in Q3 2026 treated as a special item

BAD HOMBURG, Germany, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresenius Medical Care (FME), the world's leading provider of products and services for individuals with renal diseases, today announced refinements to its China commercial strategy to support long-term growth and strengthen its market position through a more localized portfolio, increased commercialization of locally relevant innovation and a focused go-to-market approach.

Fresenius Medical Care has operated in China for more than two decades. The market represents approximately 6-7% of the Company's Care Enablement operating segment revenues and offers long-term growth opportunities supported by rising prevalence of chronic kidney disease, continued expansion of dialysis care and increasing demand for advanced treatment technologies.

"China is an important market for our Care Enablement business," said Helen Giza, Chief Executive Officer for Fresenius Medical Care. "As the market evolves, we are refining our portfolio to focus on the areas where we can create the greatest value for patients and customers."

As part of these actions, Fresenius Medical Care strengthened local leadership, including the appointment of market General Manager Rex Liu. The Company will increasingly focus on innovative technologies for in-center dialysis and critical care, including the high-volume hemodiafiltration-enabled 5008S CAREsystem, multiFiltratePRO, and other advanced dialysis products. As part of the portfolio focus, the Company will both discontinue production and sales of the 4008A hemodialysis system locally and exit its China peritoneal dialysis (PD) business while maintaining existing obligations in the market.

"We are confident that this is the right portfolio and strategy that will best position us to compete and grow in China," said Joe Turk, Chief Executive Officer for Fresenius Medical Care's Care Enablement operating segment. "We remain committed to the market and will continue leveraging our local manufacturing footprint and China Design Center to support profitable growth."

The portfolio optimization actions related to the PD business and discontinuation of the 4008A platform are expected to result in one-time costs of approximately €110 million primarily attributable to impairment charges, scrappage and termination costs. The charge will be treated as a special item and is expected to be recognized in the third quarter of 2026. The portfolio adjustment is not expected to impact the future revenue outlook for Care Enablement's China business in a meaningful way.

About Fresenius Medical Care:

Fresenius Medical Care is the world's leading provider of products and services for individuals with renal diseases of which around 4.5 million patients worldwide regularly undergo dialysis treatment. Through its network of 3,513 dialysis clinics, Fresenius Medical Care provides dialysis treatments for approx. 290,000 patients around the globe. Fresenius Medical Care is also the leading provider of dialysis products such as dialysis machines or dialyzers. Nanexa and Novo enter into EUR 1.165 billion global license and collaboration agreement for long-acting injectables

- The agreement grants Novo a global exclusive license to Nanexa's proprietary PharmaShell® atomic layer deposition (ALD) drug delivery technology platform for certain therapeutic peptide drugs in indications including obesity, type 2 diabetes and other cardiometabolic diseases.

- The agreement includes up to five development programs and covers different administration-frequency profiles with monthly and quarterly administration as target profiles.

- Novo will lead global development and commercialization, and Nanexa is eligible to receive upfront consideration and potential milestone payments totaling up to EUR 1.165 billion, including EUR 615 million in upfront payment and development and regulatory milestones. In addition, the agreement provides for low single-digit royalties on future product sales.

- The collaboration brings together Nanexa's ALD-based long-acting injectable drug delivery platform and Novo's expertise in obesity and type 2 diabetes treatments.

UPPSALA, Sweden, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nanexa AB (publ) ("Nanexa"), a Swedish drug delivery platform company developing long-acting injectable drugs based on its proprietary PharmaShell® technology platform, today announces that it has entered into a global exclusive license and collaboration agreement with Novo Nordisk ("Novo") for the use of the PharmaShell® technology platform for certain peptide-based drugs targeting obesity, type 2 diabetes and other cardiometabolic indications.

Under the agreement, Novo receives a global license to use Nanexa's PharmaShell® technology platform in up to five development programs. The collaboration includes development of long-acting injectable formulations with different administration-frequency profiles, with monthly and quarterly administration as target profiles.

Nanexa is eligible to receive total payments of up to EUR 1.165 billion, including EUR 615 million in upfront payment and development and regulatory milestones. The remaining milestone payments are sales milestones. In addition, Nanexa is eligible to receive low single-digit royalties on global net sales of products developed under the agreement.

"We are very excited about and proud of this license agreement with Novo and look forward to working with them to successfully develop products with less frequent dosing in obesity and type 2 diabetes indications. Following our license and option agreement with Moderna in 2025, this agreement further strengthens the external validation of PharmaShell® as a broadly applicable drug delivery platform and we believe this provides a strong foundation for expanding PharmaShell® into additional therapeutic areas and to selectively advance additional internal programs towards clinical proof of concept, allowing us to capture greater value from the breadth of the PharmaShell® platform," said David Westberg, CEO of Nanexa.

PharmaShell® is Nanexa's proprietary atomic layer deposition (ALD)-based drug delivery platform, designed to enable controlled and sustained release of active pharmaceutical ingredients through an ultra-thin inorganic coating applied to individual drug particles. The collaboration is intended to support the development of differentiated long-acting injectable drugs with the potential to reduce dosing frequency and improve the treatment experience for people living with chronic metabolic or cardiovascular diseases.

"With this agreement, Nanexa enters a new era of considerable financial strength, allowing us to significantly expand applications of our unique ALD technology to other therapeutic areas and giving us an opportunity to build a sustainable long-term business. It will also allow us to take new projects further in development before partnering which will generate financially very attractive potential future partner deals. While expanding, our focus will also firmly be on creating a very successful partnership with Novo," said Göran Ando, Chairman of Nanexa.

HAMBURG, Germany, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- During WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, Envision Energy's wind farm control system has received IEC 62443-3-3 Security Level 2 (SL2) certificate from TÜV SÜD, covering key elements of the wind farm control system, including SCADA, PPC, PLC and industrial network devices. The certificate marks a significant step forward in Envision Energy's cybersecurity journey, extending independently validated security capabilities from core control components to the wind farm system level.

IEC 62443 is a globally recognized cybersecurity standard series for industrial automation and control systems. IEC 62443-3-3 focuses on system-level security requirements, including relevant components, networks and system security mechanisms work together within an overall control system. The certificate therefore provides independent validation of the cybersecurity capabilities embedded across Envision Energy's wind farm control system.

Envision Energy has been integrating cybersecurity into the design, development, production and delivery of its wind energy technologies. Its IEC 62443 capabilities now span multiple layers, including:

- Secure Development Lifecycle certified to IEC 62443-4-1;

- SCADA, PPC and PLC certified to IEC 62443-4-2 SL2;

- Wind farm control system certified to IEC 62443-3-3 SL2;

- System Security Integration and Maintenance Service Capabilities certified to IEC 62443-2-4

Together, these certificates reflect a structured approach to cybersecurity spanning secure development, core components, system-level protection and service delivery.

"As wind becomes an increasingly critical part of future energy systems, cybersecurity is fundamental to the safe, reliable and resilient operation of wind assets. The latest certificate reflects Envision Energy's continued commitment to meeting evolving cybersecurity and compliance requirements in international markets, including Europe," said Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy, "We see certificate not as the destination, but as a foundation for continuous improvement. We will continue to embed cybersecurity across the lifecycle of our technologies, systems and services, building greater resilience and lasting trust for our customers."

"The energy transition is accelerating the digitalisation of critical energy infrastructure, making cybersecurity an increasingly important element of trust in the technologies that power it. Envision Energy's IEC 62443-3-3 SL2 certificate represents a further step towards addressing cybersecurity at the system level, complementing the security capabilities already established across its core control components. Independent verification against internationally recognised standards can help strengthen confidence in the security and reliability of wind energy infrastructure." said Frank L. Three major enterprise client wins and a new partnership with Independently highlight growing momentum for Hoonr's AI-first Workforce Orchestration platform

ALPHARETTA, Ga., Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoonr, an AI-first Workforce Orchestration platform, today announced significant enterprise growth and expanded global Freelance Management capabilities, continuing strong momentum since launch in April 2026.

In just five months, this fully integrated Direct Sourcing and Workforce Orchestration platform has been selected by three Fortune 500 enterprises across the life sciences, professional services and engineering sectors for its advanced AI, analytics, and sourcing abilities.

These early milestones demonstrate the need for Hoonr as enterprises look to truly orchestrate and manage disjointed tech stacks and enhance their workforce strategies with candidate- focused insights.

"The momentum we have experienced since launching Hoonr validates the need for a fundamentally different approach to workforce management," said Nimitt Sharma, Chief Growth Officer, Hoonr. "Enterprises need visibility and control across talent, technology, compliance, data, and AI. The growth of our customer base, along with the continued expansion of the platform, reinforces the value Hoonr delivers."

As part of its continued platform expansion, Hoonr has also introduced a full-cycle global Freelance Management System (FMS), giving organizations a seamless way to source, engage, onboard, manage, and analyze independent talent worldwide. This expertise is strengthened through its partnership with Independently, a global independent contractor classification and compliance platform supporting 60 countries with documentation and audit-ready records. The integration embeds jurisdiction-specific contractor vetting directly into Hoonr, helping clients validate worker classification before an engagement, and minimizing the risk of non-compliance.

"Hoonr is building an intelligent orchestration layer across the extended workforce, bringing together talent, technology, data, and AI in a way that reflects where enterprise workforce management is headed," said Jeff Nugent, CEO of Independently. "With Independently, classification and compliance become a natural part of Hoonr's workflow rather than a separate process that happens after the fact."

Hoonr combines Direct Sourcing, Onboarding and Compliance, Freelance Management, AI Agents, SOW Benchmarking, and Workforce Analytics within a unified, skills-first ecosystem. By reducing the need for fragmented tools across labor categories, Hoonr provides an orchestration layer designed to improve visibility, intelligence, governance, and control across the total workforce.

"Organizations are increasingly turning to freelancers and independent professionals to access specialized skills and create a more agile workforce," added Namita Tirath, Chief Customer Officer, Hoonr. "Our expanded FMS capabilities, with Independently's embedded classification expertise, allow customers to manage independent talent as part of a broader, more connected workforce strategy."

Omneky Introduces TASTE BENCH for Evaluating AI Creative Quality

New evaluation suite assesses brand fit, creative execution, and whether an ad is ready to run

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Omneky, the autonomous AI growth platform, today introduced TASTE BENCH, an evaluation suite that tests how well image and video models turn creative briefs and brand assets into ready-to-run ads.

For image ads, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst has the highest ready-to-run rate at 54.2% (32 of 59), with an average quality score of 7.38 out of 10. Rates across the eight models range from 22.0% to 54.2%. These are first-attempt results with Omneky's own review step disabled.

Omneky's AI Growth Agent chooses among image and video models from several labs for each ad.

"Taste is in the details: whether the typography feels right, whether the product looks authentic, and whether the idea comes through immediately," said Hikari Senju, founder and CEO of Omneky. "We built TASTE BENCH to make those judgments systematic, so we know which models to trust with our customers' ads."

The current edition covers eight image models, 59 ad briefs, four brands, and five languages (English, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish), with 469 generated ads and 1,371 valid blind judge reviews.

Models receive identical prompts and assets, and a blind panel of AI judges from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google scores outputs on eight quality dimensions, including brand fit, typography, and ad effectiveness.

Eleven pass/fail checks cover exact copy, correct language, faithful logos and products, safe-zone placement, and fabricated claims or visual artifacts. An output counts as "ready to run" when it passes the applicable hard checks under the panel's voting rules and a majority of judges would run it as-is. Results reflect automated creative judgments, not campaign conversions or return on ad spend.
