Founded by Muscogee (Creek) collector Thomas Gilcrease, the renewed museum builds on its founder's vision through deeper partnerships with tribal nations and new ways to engage with more than 300,000 works spanning the Americas.

TULSA, Okla., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 75 years after Thomas Gilcrease, a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, established a museum in Tulsa to tell the stories of the Americas, Gilcrease will reopen in March 2027 in a new purpose-built facility. Rooted in Tulsa, a city whose history and proximity to tribal nations have long shaped its mission, the renewed museum builds on its founder's vision that the stories of the Americas are best understood by bringing together art, history and culture.

Designed by SmithGroup, with exhibition design by G&A, the new museum provides the space and infrastructure to fully realize that mission.

"Thomas Gilcrease envisioned a space where Indigenous and settler art and culture were in conversation with one another at a time when almost no one else thought that," said Brian Lee Whisenhunt, executive director and CEO of Gilcrease. "Seventy-five years later, we're giving that idea a building big enough to hold it."

Gilcrease is home to one of the nation's most interdisciplinary collections, comprising more than 300,000 works and cultural materials spanning 12,000 years of the Americas. The museum's ongoing relationships with tribal nations inform its work across collection stewardship, repatriation, exhibitions and interpretation, reflecting a commitment to collaboration with the living communities whose cultures and knowledge the collection represents.

As Oklahoma's only museum with a dedicated conservation department, Gilcrease is also a center for preservation and scholarship. Through the Helmerich Center for American Research, it provides academics, students and communities with access to extensive archival resources that deepen the understanding of the Americas and ensures these collections remain accessible for future generations.

Established in 1949, Gilcrease is owned by the City of Tulsa. Through an important public-private partnership, The University of Tulsa has stewarded Gilcrease for nearly two decades, caring diligently for the collection, working to increase affinity and support and expanding Tulsa's global reach.

Additional details about exhibitions, programs, new hiking/biking trails and opening celebrations will be announced in the coming months as Gilcrease prepares to welcome the public in March 2027.

GBC Introduces an Evolved Brand Built on an Enduring Purpose
Image File
Original HTML

HOUSTON, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Over the past several years, GBC (formerly GB Connections) has grown in meaningful ways. The company has expanded its leadership team, strengthened its engineering capabilities and built the systems needed to support long-term growth. Along the way, GBC has become more intentional about who it is, how it creates value and where it is headed next.

Today, GBC is introducing an evolved brand that reflects these intentions. It includes an updated logo, visual identity and story as well as a simpler approach to the company's name: going forward, GBC will become the primary way the company represents itself.

The name GBC carries forward the company's history in connections while reflecting how it has evolved. For GBC, the name means Generating Better Connections. That starts with the connection solutions the company engineers but extends beyond its products. It reflects the way GBC connects engineering intent with governed execution, brings together the people, partners and capabilities required to deliver reliably and builds strong relationships with the customers and partners it serves.

"Generating Better Connections reflects what we do at every level of the business," said Robert L. Kovar, P.E., President and Chief Executive Officer of GBC. "We engineer connection solutions, connect engineering intent with disciplined execution and build strong relationships that help us understand and respond as customer needs evolve. The name is a natural expression of who we are today and how we create value."

A Brand Designed to Express GBC's Purpose

Last year, GBC invested in defining its purpose, vision, mission, values and behaviors. The company's purpose, to energize progress, has become the cornerstone of its brand. Every element of the new brand has been developed to better express that purpose and the role GBC plays in helping customers move forward.

The company's visual identity carries the same intention. The logo's arrow motif symbolizes forward momentum, while subtle references to thread forms honor the products and engineering heritage that have defined the business for more than three decades. Bold typography, vibrant colors and dynamic graphics reinforce a sense of energy, clarity and progress.

GBC's story has evolved as well. It now more clearly reflects how the company creates value: bringing engineering expertise, governed execution and agility together to help remove the constraints that slow advancement and helping customers move forward with greater clarity, confidence and capability.

Looking Ahead

Over the coming months, the evolved GBC identity and story will appear across the company's technical literature, marketing materials and communications. Later this year, GBC will launch a redesigned website that more fully brings the new brand to life.

The way GBC represents itself is evolving, but the standards, relationships and commitments behind the company remain firmly rooted in who it is.

The evolved GBC brand provides a stronger foundation for the company's continued growth while giving clearer expression to the purpose, capabilities and commitments that have long defined the business. As the new identity rolls out, GBC will continue applying that same focus to the solutions it develops, the partnerships it builds and the ways it helps customers move forward.

About GBC

GBC is an independent engineering authority specializing in OCTG connection solutions for demanding drilling and production environments. GBC designs, qualifies and oversees manufacturing through trusted partners, helping operators, engineers and distributors identify right-fit solutions supported by disciplined engineering, governed execution and responsive partnership. As technical, operational and commercial conditions evolve, GBC helps customers move forward with greater clarity, confidence and capability.

Fitness Experts Jim Wilson and Futaba Takashima Explain What to Expect at a Beginner Fitness Boxing Class in HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

The Article Covers Basic Boxing Technique, Conditioning, Equipment, and Class Structure to Help Beginners Prepare for Their First Workout

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What should you expect at your first fitness boxing class? HelloNation published an article that answers this question, featuring insights from Fitness Experts Jim Wilson and Futaba Takashima of Physique Magnifique in South San Francisco, California.

The HelloNation article explains that a beginner fitness boxing class typically focuses on learning fundamental movements while completing a full-body workout. No prior boxing experience is required, and newcomers can learn basic skills as the class progresses.

The article notes that most classes begin with a warm-up that prepares the body for movement. Light jogging, jumping jacks, mobility work, and bodyweight exercises may help raise the heart rate and prepare the shoulders, hips, and legs.

From there, beginners are commonly introduced to a proper boxing stance. The article describes how stance supports balance and movement while participants learn basic footwork, including moving forward, backward, and side to side.

The article also reviews the basic punches often taught during a beginner fitness boxing class. These can include the jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. Proper boxing technique involves more than arm movement, since the hips, legs, shoulders, and core also contribute to each punch.

As participants become familiar with individual punches, instructors may introduce punch combinations. The article explains that simple combinations can start with a jab and cross before adding hooks or other movements. Depending on the facility, participants might practice on heavy bags, pads, or through shadowboxing.

Fitness Experts Jim Wilson and Futaba Takashima are featured as sources for the article's explanation of fitness boxing. One key distinction the piece makes is that fitness boxing emphasizes technique and conditioning without requiring participants to spar or take punches.

The article notes that this difference can help beginners understand what the workout involves before attending class. Fitness boxing focuses on exercise, while sparring and competitive boxing involve practicing directly against an opponent.

Strength and conditioning exercises may also be included between boxing rounds. Squats, lunges, push-ups, planks, jump rope, and cardio intervals can add variety while keeping participants active. Together with punching drills, these movements create a workout that engages the upper body, legs, and core.

The article explains that coordination can be challenging during a first class. Remembering punch combinations while maintaining stance and footwork takes concentration, so unfamiliar movements are normal as you learn.

Beginners are encouraged to work at a manageable pace instead of immediately matching more experienced participants. The article notes that slowing down can support proper boxing technique, while instructors may offer simpler versions of exercises when appropriate.

Equipment requirements can vary between facilities. Some gyms provide fitness boxing gloves and related equipment, while others ask participants to bring their own. Comfortable athletic clothing and supportive shoes are also commonly suitable for conditioning exercises.

By the end of a first fitness boxing workout, participants will likely have practiced several punches and combinations, along with cardio and strength exercises. The article emphasizes that beginners are not expected to master every movement immediately. Instead, the first class introduces the rhythm, technique, and conditioning involved in fitness boxing.

What to Expect at Your First Fitness Boxing Class features insights from Jim Wilson and Futaba Takashima, fitness experts in South San Francisco, California, in HelloNation.

Delia's, a New Fried Chicken and JoJo Concept from the Team Behind Cordelia & ROSY, Opens at Rocket Arena

Three-time James Beard Award nominee Chef Vinnie Cimino and proprietor Andrew Watts bring Cordelia inspired fried chicken to the venue's Street Level concourse

CLEVELAND, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocket Arena, home to the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, is tipping off the 2026-27 season with new fan experience enhancements headlined by a partnership with Cleveland's own Cordelia, bringing Delia's (@deliaschicken), the East 4th Street restaurant's new fried chicken and JoJo concept, to the Street Level concourse near Portal 26. Led by three-time James Beard Award nominee Chef Vinnie Cimino and proprietor Andrew Watts, Delia's opens for the Cavaliers' first preseason home game, and reflects Rock Entertainment Group's continued investment in the Northeast Ohio favorites fans know and love.

Created specifically for the arena, Delia's takes the quality, warmth and point of view that have made Cordelia a Cleveland favorite and translates them into something faster, more casual and built for high volume. Rather than a sprawling concessions menu, Delia's focuses on doing a few things exceptionally well: crispy fried and grilled chicken, Handys, JoJos and a lineup of new house-made sauces, all designed to outshine standard stadium fare.

"Delia's is Cordelia made faster and more casual, but with the same heart," said Chef Vinnie Cimino. "We wanted to cook food that people can spot from across the concourse, get in their hands quickly and still feel like they're eating something made with real care."

Cordelia is named for Watts' great-grandmother and Delia's carries that same family-rooted hospitality: great food without pretension, Cleveland pride and a genuinely Midwest Nice approach to taking care of people. The storefront-style space, with white brick, a lowercase delia's wordmark, hand-painted "Chicken and JoJo's" lettering and an illustrated portrait of Delia herself, shares Cordelia's family resemblance while standing on its own.

"The concession experience is usually pretty transactional, and we saw a chance to change that," said Andrew Watts. "We wanted Delia's to feel like a real neighborhood chicken joint that just happens to live inside the arena."

The Menu

The menu centers on Buckets of mix-and-match drumsticks or boneless thighs in two- and three-piece orders, served with pickles, hot sauce mayo and JoJo fries. Handys include a Fried Chicken sandwich finished with Chef Cimino's signature Magic Dust, wavy pickles, coleslaw and black garlic mayo; a miso-marinated Grilled Chicken sandwich; and the Midwest Polish Boy, a nod to the Cleveland classic. Sides include malt vinegar-rinsed JoJo fries, pimento potato salad and coleslaw, alongside all-new Cordelia-inspired sauces: black garlic mayo, hot sauce mayo, Fancy Sauce and Cleveland ketchup.

"Cordelia has long been a Cleveland favorite and a neighbor of Rocket Arena, a spot fans would frequent before or after gamedays. Now, it's part of the arena experience itself," said Chris Kaiser, Cleveland Cavaliers and Rock Entertainment Group, Chief Marketing Officer. "Bringing Delia's into our venue deepens our commitment to great Cleveland brands and enhances the best gameday experience in sports."

Delia's is located on Rocket Arena's Street Level concourse near Portal 26 and is open during Cavaliers home games and select arena events. For updates, follow @deliaschicken on Instagram.

SUBARU LAUNCHES NEW SUBIECREW PROGRAM TO EXPAND AND LOCALIZE ENTHUSIAST COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Expansion to 50 local chapters nationwide invites Subaru owners and fans to join, connect, and shape their experiences

CAMDEN, N.J., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) today announced SubieCrew, a reimagined ambassador and owner engagement program that brings passionate Subaru enthusiasts together through local communities, shared experiences, and purpose. Building on more than a decade of owner advocacy, SubieCrew introduces a hyperlocal, chapter-based model that gives ambassadors new ways to connect people, create experiences and make an impact where they live and drive.

Powered by nearly 700 ambassadors, 50 new SubieCrew chapters will be established nationwide. Each chapter will be led by a group of SubieCrew Ambassadors including a Chapter Lead, a Director, and a group of specialized ambassador teams selected at the chapter's founding, bringing a fuller, more dynamic mix of talent and personalization to every local crew of members. Ambassadors lead events and activities with support from SOA and its national retailer network, along with thousands of active volunteers. Each chapter will help develop events and experiences that incorporate the Subaru Love Promise® pillars, turning shared passions into meaningful community action. Ambassadors will also receive special access to events, product development opportunities and perks with partner brands such as complimentary SiriusXM radio.

The redesign is grounded in research that shows how today's owners crave real-world connection. A majority of Gen Z and Millennial consumers feel digitally exhausted and are actively seeking more in-person experiences. Subaru owners already have extraordinary passion for the brand, the things they love and the communities they call home. SubieCrew gives that passion greater structure, resources and reach, creating new opportunities for owners to turn their individual interests and talents into collective local impact.

Joseph Pawlicki, Owner Loyalty Manager, Subaru of America, Inc: "Our owners are our greatest advocates, and we're incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm our ambassadors bring to the Subaru community. We are thrilled to amplify their passion and welcome even more new members into the SubieCrew community by creating unique opportunities for owners and enthusiasts to connect, make an impact, and enjoy meaningful benefits and rewards along the way, all while helping to shape what's next for the Subaru family."

To reimagine and launch SubieCrew, Subaru partnered with Motive, a culture-driven creative agency, alongside digital transformation agency Wondersauce, both part of the Project Worldwide network. The result is a multifaceted campaign reaching owners through both an enhanced digital presence and experiential event activations.

Through a new web app, SubieCrew Ambassadors will create and manage their own local events, complete with group participation goals and real-time RSVP tracking, making it easier than ever to rally a crowd. From larger flagship gatherings tied to major Subaru initiatives including new vehicle launches, to hosting pet adoptions and community cleanups, to Cars & Coffee meetups and trailhead gatherings, ambassadors are turning their everyday passions into organic, welcoming gatherings for fellow owners.

SubieCrew creates even more ways for Subaru fans and owners to get involved. Subaru encourages enthusiasts to join their local chapter, attend an upcoming event, and share ideas to help shape their SubieCrew community. As SubieCrew Members, they can discover ambassador-led events, take part in special experiences at select gatherings and connect with fellow Subaru enthusiasts nationwide. American Investors See NATO's Eastern Flank as a Defining Opportunity of the Decade. Concelex a Romanian Infrastructure Company Proposes a New Concept to Build It: Sovereign Infrastructure
Image File
Original HTML

At a New York roundtable hosted by Concelex and Atlantic Council Romania and addressed by Romania's President, investors said the region's projects need clearly allocated risk and local partners able to build and maintain them for the long term

NEW YORK, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- American investors regard NATO's Eastern Flank as one of the major investment opportunities of the decade, provided that projects come with clearly allocated risks and with local partners able to build and maintain them over the long term. That was among the conclusions of "Anchoring the Eastern Flank: Critical Infrastructure and Transatlantic Capital in Central and Eastern Europe," a roundtable held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, hosted by Concelex and Atlantic Council Romania and addressed by the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan.

The event looked at how strategic infrastructure on the Eastern Flank will be assessed and financed over the next decade of investment, and how lessons from Ukraine are redefining infrastructure requirements near NATO's eastern border. The rapid restoration of a railway bridge, a transformer substation or a hospital depends critically on the immediate on-site availability of heavy equipment, compatible structural components and certified response teams, capabilities that cannot be mobilized within days in a crisis scenario.

"Ukraine has shown us that an asset is brought back into service by the capacity that exists before a crisis. This is what we call Sovereign Infrastructure: infrastructure that can be built, maintained and restored with people and equipment on the ground, under national, regional or allied control. It makes the infrastructure industry a security capability, and it is also what we offer American investors: derisked strategic assets that generate long-term returns, resilient in any scenario," said Radu Pițurlea, CEO of Concelex and a member of the Atlantic Council's Board of Directors.

Concelex put forward two proposals. The first is to add delivery capacity to the qualification criteria for strategic projects, alongside the existing financial and regulatory criteria. The second is to give priority to long-term, availability-based public-private partnerships along strategic corridors, where the region's infrastructure companies are prepared to invest their own capital alongside transatlantic investors. Both would rest on a Sovereign Infrastructure Index for NATO's Eastern Flank, which the company put forward as the tool that would record who can build each asset, who can restore it, how quickly, and under which jurisdiction.

Alongside President Nicușor Dan, the event was attended by Minister of Finance Alexandru Nazare, Presidential Advisors Marius Lazurca (National Security and Foreign Policy) and Radu Burnete (Economic and Social Policy), and Romania's Ambassador to the United States, Andrei Muraru. Also at the roundtable were the Washington-based ambassadors of several Central and Eastern European countries, diplomats with experience in the region, representatives of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, investment banks and global funds, and American and Romanian companies in energy, engineering and infrastructure.

The discussion was opened by Frederick Kempe, the Atlantic Council's President and CEO, and moderated by Landon Derentz, the organization's Vice President for Energy and Infrastructure.

"The partners the transatlantic relationship relies on matter today more than ever. Developments in the international environment are passed on through energy prices, transport routes, supply chains and the cost of capital, and they reach every project in this region. That is why infrastructure, energy and communications can no longer be planned country by country. They must be prioritized and integrated across borders," said Frederick Kempe, President and CEO of the Atlantic Council.

The region's infrastructure companies were approached as direct partners of transatlantic capital, and their delivery capacity as a criterion that should be measured and taken into account when strategic projects are assessed. Concelex's proposals will be further developed together with the Atlantic Council, and participants agreed to continue the discussion at an event to be held in Bucharest before the end of the year.

About Concelex

Concelex is one of Romania's leading privately held infrastructure companies, with more than 30 years of experience delivering complex projects in Romania, which holds the largest infrastructure market on NATO's Eastern Flank after Poland. The company provides fully integrated infrastructure solutions, from design to execution, for public and private clients, with a portfolio spanning critical infrastructure, nuclear and conventional energy, transport, buildings and urban regeneration. Concelex is a founding member of Atlantic Council Romania, and its CEO, Radu Pițurlea, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington-based Atlantic Council.
