Preparing for the warnings + update on the Omnibus

OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 7th, Claigan will host a webinar on the new Prop 65 warning requirements coming in 2028 as well as the recent changes in the Omnibus. The generic warning will no longer be valid and short form warnings will be required to include a substance.

Identifying the correct substance will no longer be the blasé affair many companies are used to with Prop 65. If a product warning lists a substance that is not present or poses no exposure risk to the user, the safe harbor protection is void. With over 400 prosecutions a month, Prop 65 is not a regulation to take lightly.

Claigan will discuss the new rules for 2028, the updates in the Omnibus, and the practical approach for compliance. Participants will benefit from years of Claigan's knowledge working on thousands of products for Prop 65.

Key topics will include:

- 2028 warning requirements

- Identifying the correct substance

- Ensuring that the warning is valid

- How to prove a warning is not needed (and be protected against prosecution)

- How to protect your company in each situation

- Updates from the 2026 Omnibus

Note - due to the expected demand, there will be two (2) webinars scheduled on October 7, 2026.

Webinars - Prop 65 2028

Justice Alito Recuses From Landmark Climate Case, Says Consumer Watchdog

This month Consumer Watchdog revealed companies Alito invests in warned shareholders climate lawsuits pose financial risks — at least one company is a defendant in every case identified as stayed pending Suncor

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has recused himself from Suncor v. Boulder, the landmark climate deception case that will open the Supreme Court's new term exactly one week from today, on Oct. 5, following Consumer Watchdog's call for him to step aside over his investments in oil companies facing climate lawsuits that could be affected by the case.

The Supreme Court clerk informed the parties Monday that Alito "has determined that he will not continue to participate in this case." The Court offered no explanation for the decision.

Alito's recusal follows new research released by Consumer Watchdog showing that he owns individual stock in ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66, two companies that have warned their shareholders for years that climate lawsuits against them pose financial risks.

Consumer Watchdog's review also found that every climate case identified as currently stayed pending the outcome of Suncor v. Boulder names ConocoPhillips, Phillips 66 or both as defendants. Those cases include lawsuits brought by California, New Jersey, Delaware, Hoboken and eight California cities and counties.

"Justice Alito's recusal from Suncor v. Boulder is the right decision, and one he should have made from the start. The Supreme Court's Code of Conduct says a justice should step aside when the justice has a financial interest in the subject matter of a case or another interest that could be substantially affected by its outcome. Justice Alito holds investments in ConocoPhillips and Phillips66. The public should not have to wonder whether a justice's personal investments could benefit from a ruling that shields the fossil-fuel industry from liability," said Alexandra Nagy, Organizing Director with Consumer Watchdog.

Alito's decision comes exactly one week before the Supreme Court begins its 2026-2027 term. Suncor Energy v. Boulder County will be the first case argued before the Court when the Justices return to the bench at 10 a.m. on Oct. 5.

Trintech Launches Three New AI Agents to Advance Governed Autonomous Finance

New Data Access, Accruals Intelligence and Exception Management Agents expand AI execution across critical financial close processes

CHICAGO, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Trintech, the trusted AI platform for governed autonomous finance, today unveiled three new AI agents at Trintech Connect 2026, extending its portfolio of purpose-built agents designed to execute critical work across the financial close.

The Trintech Data Access Agent, Trintech Accruals Intelligence Agent and Trintech Exception Management Agent build on the agentic AI capabilities Trintech introduced earlier this year with the Trintech Flux Agent and Trintech Variance Analysis Agent, bringing governed AI execution to data preparation, accrual management and exception resolution.

Together, the five agents mark Trintech's shift from AI that surfaces insights to AI that executes the work itself — within the same controls, approvals and audit trails finance teams already rely on.

"Finance teams do not need more AI that simply tells them what to do. They need AI that does the work — in ways they trust," said Darren Heffernan, Chief Executive Officer at Trintech. "Today at Trintech Connect, we're showing what that looks like in practice. These new agents extend AI deeper into the financial close, helping teams eliminate manual work, identify issues earlier and focus their time on the decisions that require human judgment."

Trintech Data Access Agent: A Trusted Foundation for AI

The Trintech Data Access Agent connects to, retrieves, cleans, reshapes and delivers financial data from a wide range of sources, including systems that are notoriously hard to reach through traditional integrations. Instead of finance and IT teams pulling exports by hand or reconciling formats themselves, the agent builds a governed pipeline that does it for them, while giving both teams full visibility into how that data moves and changes along the way. It's the connective tissue across the Trintech AI Platform, routing the right data to the right automation and giving every other agent something solid to stand on.

Trintech Accruals Intelligence Agent: Modernize a Critical Close Process

The Trintech Accruals Intelligence Agent takes on the most repetitive and highest risk part of the close. It reviews historical activity and prior period patterns to recommend accrual amounts, rather than repeating a fixed number from a template, and it catches true-ups and reversals before they turn into a problem.

When an estimate falls outside historical trends, it gets flagged automatically, so finance professionals spend their time and judgment where it's actually needed instead of double-checking routine work.

The agent also tracks its own accuracy over time by preparer, account and methodology, so the estimates get sharper every period instead of staying static. Every recommendation still comes with its evidence, methodology, approvals and audit trail attached, so the process moves faster without losing any of the control finance depends on.

Trintech Exception Management Agent: Focus Finance Teams on What Matters

Exceptions don't show up on a schedule, and the Trintech Exception Management Agent doesn't wait for one either. It identifies, classifies and prioritizes exceptions as they surface, but it doesn't stop at flagging them.

The agent investigates each one, names a likely root cause, attaches a confidence score to that finding, and gathers its own supporting evidence, so a person opens the case already knowing why it happened rather than just that it did.

It also groups related exceptions under a shared root cause instead of leaving a team to work through them one line at a time. That changes the job for finance teams. Instead of sorting through volume, they can go straight to resolving what matters, and every finding, every action the agent takes, and every step it holds for a person stays logged and visible the whole way through. The new agents were unveiled at Trintech Connect 2026 in Chicago, part of Trintech's global event series bringing together customers, partners and finance leaders to explore practical applications of AI and the future of finance transformation.

In HelloNation, Retirement Planning Expert Joseph R. Wilson III Explains Retirement Readiness
Image File
Original HTML

The article explains how spending, income sources, and risk factors combine to determine true retirement readiness.

CINCINNATI, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What determines whether someone is truly ready to retire? A HelloNation article answers this question by outlining the financial building blocks behind lasting readiness for retirement.

The article notes that retirement readiness is not simply a number on a savings statement. It explains that a complete picture includes lifestyle costs, income sources, and the risks that could disrupt a plan.

According to the article, monthly spending needs should guide how much income a plan must generate. It points out that some households plan to travel often, while others prefer to stay close to home.

The article describes how Social Security, pensions, rental income, and investment withdrawals work together to cover everyday costs. It adds that the age at which someone claims Social Security shapes income for decades afterward.

The article explains that inflation is easy to overlook during working years, since paychecks often rise along with prices. It states that a retirement plan needs to reflect rising costs over twenty or thirty years.

Healthcare receives close attention in the article, since Medicare covers many expenses but not all of them. The article notes that long-term care costs can be significant if a spouse eventually needs extended support.

The article also addresses taxes, explaining that withdrawals from traditional retirement accounts are generally taxable. It suggests that a tax-aware withdrawal strategy can help preserve more of what has been saved.

Market risk becomes more pressing as retirement nears, the article notes, since less time remains to recover. It recommends reviewing investment mix, income needs, and time horizon together well before the planned retirement date.

The article suggests running a plan through a range of possible outcomes, including an early market decline. It notes that a longer than expected lifespan is another scenario a savings target alone cannot show.

Some retirees ease into retirement gradually rather than stopping all at once, the article explains. Working part-time during early retirement years can lower the amount drawn from savings while testing a budget.

The article notes that entering retirement with little or no debt can make a plan more resilient overall. A mortgage, auto loan, or credit card balance adds a monthly obligation that becomes harder to adjust later.

An emergency reserve outside investment accounts also matters once regular paychecks end, the article states. Accessible cash for unexpected expenses can prevent someone from selling investments at an inconvenient time.

For couples, the article recommends planning around both partners' timelines rather than deciding separately. It suggests trying a trial retirement budget for a few months to test whether expected spending is realistic.

As a Retirement Planning Expert, Wilson works with clients in Cincinnati, Ohio through Omega Wealth Private Capital LLC on these kinds of coordinated reviews. The article recommends reviewing a plan regularly, since it describes readiness as an ongoing process rather than a single milestone.

A Retirement Planning Expert can help translate these moving parts into one coordinated strategy tailored to a household's specific numbers. The article closes by noting that reviewing lifestyle costs, income, and risk together gives a clearer picture of retirement readiness.

Landscape Design Expert Andrew Becker of Fairfield, CT Explores Modern vs. Natural Landscaping Trends for HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- How are Fairfield homeowners choosing between modern and natural landscaping styles? A new HelloNation article answers this question by examining current landscaping design trends with insights from Andrew Becker, Landscape Design Expert and founder of The Becker Companies in Fairfield, CT. The article explores how different design approaches reflect personal style while enhancing the luxury and function of outdoor spaces.

In Fairfield, outdoor design has become more than just an afterthought. Homeowners are seeking landscaping that aligns with how they live and what they value. According to the article, two main styles—modern landscaping and natural landscaping—are shaping luxury landscaping projects across the region. Each style offers distinct advantages, and both can elevate a property when applied thoughtfully.

Modern landscaping is characterized by clean lines, structured forms, and minimalism. As described in the HelloNation feature, this style often uses hardscapes like stone walkways, geometric patios, and linear retaining walls to form a strong visual framework. Plants are used with intention, often limited to ornamental grasses, evergreens, and simple color palettes. Fairfield homeowners who appreciate architectural clarity and predictable maintenance routines are often drawn to this approach.

By contrast, natural landscaping embraces movement, irregular shapes, and layered textures. The article explains that this style draws inspiration from organic forms and local ecosystems. In Fairfield, natural designs often include native trees, flowering shrubs, and informal garden layouts that reflect how plants grow in the wild. While the look is softer and more relaxed, achieving a cohesive natural style still requires careful planning to avoid disorder or overcrowding.

Andrew Becker emphasizes that landscaping design trends are evolving to include blended styles. Many Fairfield homeowners now choose to combine the precision of modern hardscapes with the softness of natural plantings. A simple patio might be framed with curved garden beds, or a structured path might weave through informal greenery. This hybrid approach creates visual balance and supports a wide range of lifestyle preferences.

The article also addresses how Fairfield's geography and climate influence landscape performance. Sloped lots may benefit from terracing, a technique commonly used in modern landscaping to manage elevation and prevent erosion. Flat yards offer more flexibility for garden design, allowing for larger lawns or deep planting beds. In both cases, factors such as drainage, sun exposure, and soil composition must be considered when selecting plants and planning layouts.

Lighting is another element that defines the tone of a landscape. According to the HelloNation article, modern landscapes typically use focused, architectural lighting to accentuate lines and surfaces. Natural landscaping relies more on subtle, ambient light that gently illuminates plantings and paths. The right lighting not only improves safety but also extends the use of outdoor spaces into the evening.

Maintenance expectations also play a role in choosing a landscaping style. Luxury landscaping with a modern look may require regular trimming and edge control to preserve its clean appearance. Natural gardens, on the other hand, involve seasonal upkeep to manage plant health and ensure long-term cohesion. The article stresses that understanding these needs early in the design process can lead to better long-term satisfaction.

Ultimately, landscaping in Fairfield is about creating a space that feels intentional, personal, and in harmony with the home. Whether homeowners prefer a sleek, modern design or a relaxed, natural environment, the most successful projects are guided by clear priorities and thoughtful choices.

The article Modern vs. Natural Landscaping Trends features insights from Andrew Becker, Landscape Design Expert of Fairfield, CT, in HelloNation.

Metcash and Coveo Expand Strategic Partnership to Power Next Generation AI-Enabled Experiences for B2B Retail Customers

Together with Coveo and Publicis Sapient, Australia's leading wholesaler brings next-generation AI-powered search and conversational experiences in retailer communications, speeding up content discovery, improving productivity and better serving its B2B customers.

MONTREAL and SYDNEY, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Coveo (TSX: CVO), the leader in AI-Relevance, today announced that Metcash, Australia's leading wholesale distributor serving the independent grocery, hardware and liquor sectors, has expanded its partnership with Coveo to bring AI-powered conversational experiences to its B2B customer communications portal.

Unlike traditional keyword-based search, Coveo's conversational search understands the intent behind every query, empowering customers to resolve everyday issues through self-service. Soon, the same trusted, relevant guidance will also be surfaced directly within the agent experience, helping support teams assist customers more efficiently.

"This announcement builds on our already successful partnership with Coveo. By bringing conversational search to our B2B customer communications platform, AskROSS, we're transforming how we support retailers by providing them with a modern generative AI-powered digital experience. Embedding generative AI directly into our customer communications platform makes it faster and easier for our retailers to find answers, self-serve routine needs and access support when they need it. This represents a significant step forward in delivering a more modern, intelligent and customer-centric experience. Retailers can now ask questions in natural language and receive fast, trusted answers that help them make better decisions. That means less time spent searching for information, more time focused on serving shoppers and a simpler, more intuitive experience overall," said Madeleine Fitzpatrick, general manager retail at Metcash.

The expansion builds on the success of Metcash's existing deployment of Coveo in other areas of the business, including its online B2B marketplace, Sorted. Publicis Sapient, an enterprise AI platforms and services company, has worked with Metcash for the past two years, helping define the future retailer experience and the content and service foundations behind it.

"Metcash has a deep commitment to the independent retailers it serves across Australia. We are a proud partner of Metcash on this mission," said Alexander Mahr, managing director, Coveo APAC. "Metcash's continued investment in Coveo reflects a clear focus on equipping its retail network with trusted, generative AI-powered experiences that help teams find information faster, make better decisions and ultimately deliver better service to customers. We're proud to support one of Australia's leading wholesalers as it continues to innovate with AI."

"Our work with Metcash has always been grounded in a simple ambition: make it easier for independent Australian retailers to run and grow their businesses. This next phase with Coveo brings AI into the everyday moments that matter for retailers, helping them find answers faster and get the right support when they need it. There's real potential for AI in B2B, from agentic commerce to AI-powered search, because it turns complex information and systems into practical value," said Cassandra Kelsall, head of advisory at Publicis Sapient Australia.

Restaurateur Danny Meyer Joins Consello's Declan Kelly to Discuss What It Takes to Scale a Culture of Exceptional Hospitality

NEW YORK, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In the latest episode of Grey Matter, Danny Meyer, Founder and Executive Chairman of Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG), joins Consello Founder, Chairman, and CEO Declan Kelly to discuss how leaders can turn a core instinct into an enduring and repeatable culture of excellence. The conversation takes on a familiar challenge leaders face: what makes an experience exceptional is often the hardest thing to maintain as a business grows.

Over four decades, Meyer has built some of the most influential names in hospitality, from Union Square Café, which he opened in 1985, to Shake Shack, which was born from a hot dog cart concept run out of the kitchen of Eleven Madison Park and has grown to over 400 locations globally. In the conversation, Meyer explains how he turned his philosophy of hospitality into a shared way of working that could grow with the businesses he built. That experience is also the subject of Meyer's new book, "What Could Possibly Go Right?" which examines how to build an organization that can sustain exceptional hospitality at scale.

A central part of Meyer's approach is HQ, or Hospitality Quotient, a genuine satisfaction in making others feel better. He believes an organization's success is 51% hospitality and 49% performance. That belief shapes how he looks for leaders and how teams learn to "read signs" to recognize what each customer or colleague needs. When employees share that motivation, the culture becomes a common standard that shapes the way the business operates every day.

Dentistry Expert Dr. Eric J. Smith Explains Broken Tooth Treatment Options in HelloNation

The Article Reviews How Dentists Evaluate Tooth Fractures and Decide Whether Repair or Extraction Offers a Stable Long-Term Result

LYNCHBURG, Va., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Can a broken tooth be saved instead of being extracted? Dr. Eric J. Smith, a dentistry expert at Timberlake Family Dentistry, answers this question in a HelloNation article by explaining how dentists assess fractures and decide whether to restore a damaged tooth.

The article explains that a broken tooth can range from a small chip to a fracture extending below the gumline. The location and depth of the damage often determine which broken tooth treatment may be appropriate. Many damaged teeth can be repaired, while severe fractures may leave extraction as the more predictable option.

According to the article, a dentist first looks at how much healthy tooth structure remains above and below the gumline. Enough stable structure must remain to support a lasting restoration. The dentist also checks whether the tooth fracture involves the enamel, dentin, dental pulp, or root.

The HelloNation article notes that dental imaging can reveal damage not visible during a routine examination. X-rays or other dental imaging may show concerns around the root, bone, or internal tissues. The dentist may also evaluate how the tooth responds to pressure, temperature, and other testing.

For small chips and minor fractures, the article describes dental bonding or a filling as possible treatment options. These approaches may rebuild a damaged area when the remaining tooth is strong enough to support the repair. Dental bonding can also help restore the tooth's shape and function.

Larger fractures may require a dental crown. The article explains that a dental crown covers and protects the remaining tooth from chewing forces. Before recommending this approach, the dentist must determine whether the underlying tooth and root remain stable enough for restoration.

A deeper fracture may expose or damage the pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels. In some cases, root canal treatment can preserve the tooth. The article explains that root canal treatment removes damaged or infected pulp before sealing the tooth and protecting it with an appropriate restoration.

The article also stresses that a broken tooth does not always cause pain. A fracture may produce few symptoms when the nerve is not exposed, but bacteria can still enter damaged areas. Continued chewing can also put repeated pressure on the tooth and worsen the fracture.

Some fractures are harder to repair. A crack that travels deeply below the gumline or through the root may leave too little stable structure for a reliable restoration. The article identifies vertical root fractures as one example that can significantly limit treatment choices.

Extraction may be considered when the tooth cannot support a filling, dental crown, or another restoration. Dentists base the decision on the tooth's overall condition rather than pain alone. Timing also matters because a smaller fracture can worsen with chewing, grinding, further injury, decay, or infection.

The article explains that dentists consider fracture depth, remaining structure, pulp health, root condition, surrounding bone, and chewing forces when planning treatment for a broken tooth. Dentistry Expert Dr. Eric J. Smith of Timberlake Family Dentistry provides insights featured in the article, which emphasizes examination and dental imaging as important steps in choosing between repair and extraction.
