Company purchases approximately 378,000 SF on 27 acres adjacent to Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- An affiliate of Phoenix Investors ("Phoenix"), a national commercial real estate investment firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, announced the acquisition of a 378,331-square-foot industrial property located at 615 Bland Boulevard in Newport News, Virginia. The facility sits on approximately 27.4 acres in a core, infill location within one of the most land-constrained industrial markets in the country, where large-block availability is limited.

Formerly operated by Continental's Vitesco Technologies division, the property is located adjacent to the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport and approximately one mile from I-64 at the Jefferson Avenue interchange. The site is in close proximity to Fort Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, and Camp Peary, placing it within one of the country's largest concentrations of defense, shipbuilding, and advanced manufacturing activity and providing tenants with access to a highly skilled labor force. The property is also located within a federal Opportunity Zone.

Originally constructed in 1971, the facility is well-suited for manufacturing users. The building is fully climate controlled throughout both the warehouse and office areas and features 16,000 amps of 277/480-volt three-phase electrical service, a wet fire suppression system, a 6-inch water main with separate fire and irrigation lines, and access to up to 12 million gallons of groundwater annually for cooling tower makeup. The site includes ten dock doors, three drive-in doors, 493 surface parking spaces, and a significant amount of excess land, providing capacity for expansion, outdoor storage, or additional trailer parking.

Phoenix plans to reposition the property through a series of capital improvements designed to make the building's configuration more conducive to modern manufacturers. Planned work will focus on reconfiguring the building's layout and loading areas, updating building systems, and enhancing the site to accommodate a broad range of manufacturing and light industrial users.

"Newport News is a dense, land-constrained market with very little large-block industrial availability, and 615 Bland Boulevard is a one-of-a-kind asset within it," said Anthony Crivello, President of Phoenix Investors. "The combination of heavy power, a fully climate-controlled environment, significant excess land, and a location adjacent to the airport makes this facility exceptionally well-suited for manufacturing. With the improvements we have planned, we expect to deliver a property that meets the needs of today's manufacturers, and we look forward to investing in the Newport News community and its skilled workforce."

The sale transaction was brokered by Grant Bates, Executive Managing Director of Newmark. Leasing inquiries may be directed to Luke Herder, VP of Acquisition & Leasing at Phoenix, at (414) 244-9575.

AGS American Glass Services, a portfolio company of The Sterling Group, Acquires Mark Industries

OSHKOSH, Wis., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AGS American Glass Services ("AGS" or the "Company"), a portfolio company of The Sterling Group Foundation Fund ("Sterling"), has completed the acquisition of Mark Industries ("Mark"), a commercial glazing contractor based in Elgin, IL.

Mark Industries provides fabrication and installation of commercial glass systems for warehouse, office, retail, and other building types throughout the greater Chicago area. With in-house fabrication capabilities and a reputation for high-quality project execution, Mark brings a tenured glazier workforce and long-standing customer relationships in its local market. Josh Cunningham, Mark's owner and President, joined the AGS platform following closing and will continue to lead the business.

The acquisition extends AGS's footprint into the Chicago metropolitan market and places Mark in close proximity to AGS's East Moline operations, creating opportunities to better serve customers across northern Illinois.

Sterling launched AGS in July 2025 through its investment in Omni Glass & Paint and East Moline Glass, two long-standing Midwest glazing businesses that serve as the platform's core operating companies, with the goal of building a market-leading commercial glazing and coatings platform across the Midwest. Since then, AGS has invested in platform infrastructure and a suite of centralized services to support operations. With the addition of Mark, we believe AGS is one of the largest glazing contractors in the Midwest and ranks among the top glazing platforms in the United States by revenue. The Company continues to pursue acquisition opportunities in both existing and new markets.

385 Oil Refinery Workers in New Jersey Demand Fair Contract

LINDEN, N.J., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of Teamsters Local 877 at Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery have voted by an overwhelming 92 percent margin to authorize a strike. The 385 process and mechanical workers work at the largest oil refinery on the East Coast.

The workers are demanding a contract that delivers higher wages, stronger benefits, reliable access to paid time off, and protects contractual language previously negotiated and agreed upon.

"If a strike occurs, it will be because Phillips 66 management has left these workers with no other choice," said Jeff Sanford, President of Local 877. "Our members are standing together for a fair contract that recognizes the essential work they perform every day at Bayway."

In 2025, management implemented an Absence Control Policy that allows discipline, up to and including termination, for employee absences due to illness.

Management has proposed changes that would compromise safety, including reducing qualification requirements and shortening the current 30-month training period for new employees. The company has also proposed tying probationary status to qualification milestones that could take up to six years to complete, replacing the current 10-month probationary period.

"These workers are in a demanding and essential industry. Without their labor, the Northeast's energy infrastructure would crumble," said Juan Campos, Director of the Teamsters Tankhaul Division. "If management thinks they can drag their feet and force workers to settle for less, they're in for a sobering wake up call. The Teamsters are united and we aren't backing down."

Negotiations are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached. The current collective bargaining agreement expires on Oct 1.

"We put our health, safety, and livelihoods on the line to keep this refinery running, and we expect to be compensated accordingly," said Fred Trachsler, an 18-year operator and Local 877 steward. "We're not going to accept weaker safety standards, blatant concessions, or policies that punish workers. If management keeps this up, we'll have to fight on the picket line."

The Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery processes 275 million barrels of crude oil and 145 million barrels of gasoline products each day. Last year, they generated $4.4 billion.

The Dows, who also earned this prestigious honor in 2015, were honored during the IFA26 Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., Sept. 14-16, for their excellence in entrepreneurship, community outreach, workforce development and service to others.

Now in their 19th year with Home Helpers® Home Care toward a landmark 20th anniversary next year, the Dows have built a trusted local care organization projected to generate $4.5 million in revenue this year. Their expanded team of 150 Caregivers and 14 operations team members serves 112 clients, helping older adults and others receive reliable support while maintaining their independence and dignity at home.

"Beth and Phillip Dow represent the very best of Home Helpers Home Care," said Home Helpers® Home Care CEO and President Emma Dickison. "They combine strong business leadership with true compassion for clients, their families and Caregivers. Their commitment to sharing resources, strengthening the franchise network and serving their community shows what mission-driven franchise ownership can achieve."

Building on nearly two decades of service in Newnan, the Dows recently expanded their footprint to include the Canton, Georgia, market last month, opening Home Helpers® Home Care of Canton, Georgia.

To support dependable care, Beth Dow created a dedicated shift support team focused on preventing gaps in service. She also shares marketing materials, educational presentations and operating practices with many other Home Helpers Home Care franchise owners.

"Families depend on us during deeply personal moments, and that responsibility guides every decision we make," Beth Dow said. "This recognition belongs to our Caregivers and support team, whose dedication gives clients and their loved ones greater stability, confidence and peace of mind."

"Franchisees of the Year demonstrate what franchising is all about: individuals who have committed their lives to the betterment of those around them and building something bigger than themselves," said IFA President and CEO Matt Haller. "Through their leadership, they create jobs and build careers, give back to their communities and support other franchisees, all while exemplifying the entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of franchising. We are proud to recognize Beth and Phillip Dow with IFA's highest honor for individual franchisees and celebrate their commitment to making a difference both within their business and beyond."

IEHP opened its doors on Sept. 1, 1996, serving 62,000 Medi-Cal members with a network of 650 providers. Today, IEHP provides affordable health coverage to 1.4 million — approximately one in three Inland Empire residents — and has transformed access to care by bringing resources directly to communities through vaccination clinics, well-child screenings and telehealth options.

"What began as an innovative idea to keep healthcare access local has become a vibrant community of more than a million people who trust us with their health," said IEHP Chief Executive Officer Jarrod McNaughton. "That's why, on World Heart Day, we honor the longstanding commitment at IEHP to care for those who are most impacted by inequality — because compassion and service have always been at the heart of who we are."

30 Days of Activity

At the heart of the anniversary campaign is the IEHP 30 for 30 Challenge, a community-wide wellness initiative encouraging members, providers, community partners, team members and Inland Empire residents to complete 30 minutes of wellness-based activity, five days a week, for 30 days in October and November. Activities can include walking, fitness classes, cycling, meditation, chair exercises or other activities supporting physical and mental wellbeing.

IEHP will also bring 30 for 30 activities to its Community Wellness Centers in Riverside, Victorville and starting November in San Bernardino, giving the community opportunities to connect and commemorate the anniversary through movement, wellness and connection.

"For 30 years, healthcare with heart has meant listening to our communities and finding new ways to meet people where they are," said IEHP Chief Operating Officer Susie White. "We've expanded services, strengthened our provider network and brought health and wellness resources directly into our neighborhoods. This anniversary is a wonderful milestone — one that allows us to celebrate our collective achievements and energize our ongoing commitment to helping our community move forward toward better health."

As IEHP enters its next chapter, its mission to heal and inspire the human spirit continues to guide its work and its vision for the Inland Empire, with each decision made with heart and with our members at the center of what we do.

"We're proud of how far we've come, but this anniversary is really about what we can accomplish together next," McNaughton added. "Every milestone in our 30 years of caring together represents lives touched, families supported, and communities that believe in our mission. To our members, providers, community partners and team members: Thank you for being a part of this journey."

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fannie Mae (OTCQB: FNMA) today announced the results of its twenty-eighth Community Impact Pool (CIP) of non-performing loans. The transaction, announced on August 19, 2026, included the sale of 24 loans totaling $6,200,360 in unpaid principal balance (UPB), offered in one pool, geographically located in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The transaction is expected to close on November 19, 2026. VRMTG ACQ, LLC was the winning bidder. BofA Securities, Inc. marketed the pool as advisor.

- The CIP included 24 loans with an aggregate UPB of $6,200,360; average loan size of $258,348; weighted average note rate of 4.26%; and weighted average broker's price opinion (BPO) loan-to-value ratio of 59%.

The cover bid, which is the second highest bid for the pool, was 94.0740% of UPB (55.22% of BPO).

All purchasers of Fannie Mae non-performing loan pools are required to honor any approved or in-process loss mitigation efforts at the time of sale, including loan modifications. In addition, purchasers must offer delinquent borrowers a waterfall of loss mitigation options, including loan modifications, which may include principal forgiveness, prior to initiating foreclosure on any loan not secured by property which is vacant or condemned at the time of closing. In the event a foreclosure cannot be prevented, the owner of the loan must market the property to owner-occupants and non-profits first, similar to Fannie Mae's FirstLook® program.

Interested bidders can register for ongoing announcements, training, and other information here. Fannie Mae will also post information about specific pools available for purchase on that page.
