NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic, a leading provider of ventilation and sustainable indoor living solutions, today announces the nationwide expansion of its residential ventilation portfolio at Lowe's. The new lineup helps homeowners and contractors achieve superior indoor air quality (IAQ) with products offering ultra-quiet operation, flexible installation options, and innovative features designed for both new construction and remodel applications.

"We're excited to expand our presence at Lowe's and make our most advanced ventilation technologies more accessible to homeowners nationwide," said Amy van der Horst, National Sales Manager of Retail and eCommerce, Panasonic Eco Systems North America. "From exhaust fans that merge comfort with entertainment to accessories that optimize airflow and eliminate cold drafts, the portfolio provides a range of premium IAQ solutions to meet the needs of today's homeowners and contractors."

The expansion features six premium products, backed by Panasonic's industry-leading warranty, designed to meet diverse residential ventilation needs:

- Whisper Symphony™ Fan with Bluetooth® Speakers redefines your bathroom experience, blending premium audio with whisper-quiet ventilation for the ultimate retreat. Crystal-clear dual speakers and QuikConnect™ Bluetooth® technology let you effortlessly stream music, podcasts or audiobooks — and with the ability to pair up to two devices simultaneously, whether iOS or Android, everyone in the household stays connected. Installation is just as seamless, thanks to the Flex-Z Fast® bracket and Pick-A-Flow® selector offering flexible 80 or 110 CFM airflow options.

- EZ Soffit Vent™ Soffit Termination System allows contractors to complete all ducting work before soffit is installed. Suitable for both remodels and new construction, EZ Soffit Vent™ features a built-in backdraft damper and a snap fit vent body that rotates 180 degrees to simplify alignment and installation. Its optimized airflow path helps prevent water intrusion, providing a reliable, high efficiency solution that allows bathroom fans to maintain peak performance, which limits callbacks.

- Whisper Remodel® DC Exhaust Fan offers retrofit flexibility with models available with or without integrated LED lighting. Designed for remodel applications, it features a compact 5-5/8" housing depth and room side installation that eliminates the need for attic access. The Pick-A-Flow® selector allows homeowners to choose 80 or 110 CFM, while whisper quiet operation enhances comfort. Select models include a dimmable LED panel with night light for added convenience.

- Whisper Choice® DC Fan provides powerful yet quiet ventilation for high usage bathrooms, sunrooms, laundry rooms, garages or other medium-to-large moisture-prone spaces up to 150 square feet and is available with or without integrated LED lighting. The Pick-A-Flow® selector enables 130 or 150 CFM settings with sound levels as low as 0.4 to 0.6 sones. A 6" duct adapter and Flex-Z Fast® bracket support flexible, efficient installation and long-term performance.

HAEVN Launches Meetup Spots, Connecting Matches With Local Places to Meet

HAEVN Launches Meetup Spots, Connecting Matches With Local Places to Meet

The new program recommends local coffee shops, restaurants, bars and activity venues to compatible singles at the moment they're deciding where to meet.

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dating services have traditionally focused on helping people answer one big question: Who should I meet? But once two people decide they're interested in each other, another question quickly follows: Where should we go?

HAEVN wants to answer both.

The city-by-city matching network has launched HAEVN Meetup Spots, a local recommendation network that connects compatible singles with coffee shops, restaurants, bars and activity venues when they're deciding where to meet.

HAEVN has already answered who. Now it wants to help answer where.

For HAEVN, the idea grew out of a simple realization: making an introduction is only part of making a connection.

"It's not so much that we care where they go. It's that we care that they go," said Rik Foote, founder of HAEVN. "Making a match and leaving two people to figure everything else out feels like stopping one step too early. If we know what they enjoy, where they are and which local places make sense for them, helping answer 'Where should we meet?' is part of the matchmaking experience."

Meetup Spots launches initially in Tampa, Florida, and Austin, Texas, with additional markets planned as HAEVN expands its city-by-city matching network.

From who to where

HAEVN positions itself between dating apps and traditional matchmaking, using technology to provide some of the curated experience of a matchmaker at a significantly larger scale.

Every Monday, HAEVN's Match Monday system searches its growing network for compatible people who meet each member's relationship criteria and geographic preferences.

When HAEVN finds a match, members see their compatibility, why HAEVN believes they align and, when they're ready to meet, four local recommendations:

Coffee. Food. Drinks. Activity.

The recommendations are selected using information HAEVN already has about the two people, including their locations and date preferences. The goal is to provide options that fit the couple while finding reasonable geographic middle ground whenever possible.

Meetup Spots also remain available after the initial match.

Members can browse participating locations through the HAEVN Meetup Spot directory, organized geographically, or access recommended locations directly from a conversation with a match. A location control inside HAEVN messaging allows either person to pull up the four recommendations, review information including location and distance, and share a Meetup Spot directly into the conversation.

The result is designed to remove one more piece of friction between matching and meeting.

"A traditional matchmaker doesn't just identify someone who might be right for you and consider the job finished," Foote said. "We're trying to bring more of that high-touch experience to everyday people using technology. Sometimes that means doing something as simple as making it easier to answer, 'Where should we go?'"

Not an ad. A recommendation.

For local businesses, Meetup Spots creates a different kind of customer-acquisition opportunity.

Participating businesses pay $99 per month to join the local Meetup Spot network, with a three-month initial commitment. HAEVN guarantees at least 10 recommendations per month. If a business receives fewer than 10, its next month is free.

There is no cap on additional recommendations.

HAEVN defines one recommendation as one placement within a Match or Recommendation. Both people involved in that introduction see the same Meetup Spot.

The company deliberately distinguishes the model from traditional digital advertising.

"Most local advertising tries to predict when someone might become a customer," Foote said. "We already know the moment. Two people have matched, they're considering meeting, and they're deciding where to go. That's when a Meetup Spot appears."

There are no bids for placement, no pay-per-click fees and no option for a business to pay more to outrank another Meetup Spot.

Instead, HAEVN determines which locations to recommend based on factors including geography, member preferences and suitability for the type of date.

"An ad asks for attention," Foote said. "A recommendation answers a question. We're putting a local business in front of two people at the moment they're already asking, 'Where should we meet?' That's a very different interaction."

The right place at the right time

HAEVN organizes participating businesses into local Meetup Zones, geographic areas designed around how members actually move through a city.

In a market such as Tampa Bay, that can mean distinct clusters around Downtown Tampa, South Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and other areas.

The system can then recommend places that make logistical sense for the two people involved rather than simply promoting the closest participating business.

That can also expose members to businesses outside their normal routines.

Two people living in different parts of a metro area may find that their most convenient meeting point is a neighborhood neither typically visits. A Meetup Spot in that area gets introduced to potential customers who may otherwise never have considered it.

HAEVN screens participating businesses for basic standards including safety, cleanliness and suitability for dates while intentionally maintaining variety across price points, atmospheres and experiences.

"We don't want every Meetup Spot to feel the same because our members aren't the same," Foote said. "The goal is to have enough variety that we can recommend somewhere that makes sense for the people involved, not simply somewhere that paid to be there."

Connecting the dating economy with local business

Meetup Spots reflects a broader part of HAEVN's strategy: connecting the infrastructure around dating rather than treating matching as an isolated digital activity.

A successful introduction eventually moves offline.

People meet for coffee. They have drinks. They eat dinner. They visit museums, comedy clubs, entertainment venues and other local businesses.

HAEVN wants the businesses that participate in that activity to become part of its matching ecosystem.

"We're absolutely trying to connect the dating economy with local businesses," Foote said. "We're a city-by-city network. If we're helping people form relationships in a community, it makes sense for the places where those relationships actually begin to be part of that network too."

The program is designed to complement rather than replace businesses' existing advertising and marketing.

HAEVN does not currently attempt to attribute a recommendation to an eventual purchase or visit. Participating businesses receive reporting showing how frequently HAEVN recommended their location, while the $99 monthly price reflects the program's role as an additional local customer-acquisition and awareness channel rather than a replacement for a business's broader marketing strategy.

Even recommendations that don't result in an immediate visit can introduce a business to two local consumers through a trusted recommendation at a relevant moment.

Part of a larger connection network

Meetup Spots is one component of HAEVN's broader effort to build infrastructure around intentional dating and real-world connection.

The company also recently launched Goose, its real-time compatibility platform for independent singles-event producers. Goose allows guests at in-person singles events to privately check their compatibility with someone who catches their attention.

Together, the products extend HAEVN beyond simply generating digital matches.

Event producers can help people meet in person. Goose can add compatibility intelligence to those encounters. HAEVN can continue finding compatible introductions through Match Monday. And Meetup Spots can help those matches decide where to meet.

The company also works with brands and event partners to create real-world experiences, with participating Meetup Spots positioned to become preferred locations for those opportunities when appropriate.

HAEVN expects the Meetup Spot network ultimately to include thousands of local businesses as the company expands into additional U.S. markets.

But Foote said the underlying objective is simpler.

"Our business is human connection," he said. "Technology can help identify the right person. Local businesses provide the places where something real can actually begin. We think those two things belong together."

About HAEVN

HAEVN is a city-by-city matching network built around compatibility, intentionality and human connection. Positioned between traditional dating apps and traditional matchmaking, HAEVN combines technology-enabled scale with a compatibility-first approach designed to help people find more aligned potential partners without the swipe-based experience.

HAEVN is based in Tampa, Florida.

Land id Founder Steve Roberson to Showcase New AI Property Technology at Two Major Land Brokerage Events

Roberson will demonstrate how new AI-powered property insights, virtual tours, and mobile mapping tools help land brokers research properties, communicate value, and make more informed decisions.

ORLANDO, Fla. and FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Land id Founder Steve Roberson has been announced as a featured speaker at United Country's annual conference on October 14, held at Orlando, FL's Grand Cypress Resort. He'll be presenting "What's New in Land id: AI Insights, Map Tours & CarPlay" at the annual event. From Orlando, Roberson will travel to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards to speak at Keller Williams's 2026 Land Summit on October 21-23.

The events bring together land and ranch professionals to explore brokerage strategies, emerging technologies, and opportunities for growth. United Country, with more than a century in the business, and Keller Williams, founded in 1983, represent two established names in real estate.

A highlight of the discussion is Land id AI Insights, which combines Land id's detailed property data with AI-powered analysis to help real estate professionals research properties and answer client questions quickly. Integrated into The Land id, a shareable parcel data tour, and agent-created virtual property tours, these insights help agents market property and clients make more informed property decisions.

Roberson will also show Land id for CarPlay, which brings mapping and navigation tools into the vehicle for land brokers and property managers who spend significant time traveling between properties.

"Property professionals have always had to understand more than what's inside a property boundary. They need to know the terrain, the surrounding land, the opportunities, and the potential challenges," said Roberson. "What's exciting now is how quickly we can turn all that information into something useful for an agent and their client."

Steve Roberson founded Land id, a proptech leader in data-driven mapping and marketing, in 2014, with the goal of providing individuals and organizations easy-to-use GIS mapping tools and extensive property data. The company now has offices in Bozeman, MT and Austin, TX, and its more than 50,000 users have created more than three million maps to help make critical land brokerage and development decisions.

A group of surprise celebrity guests will be on site to make the day even more special, including Beau Allen and more.

"Garage Beer is all about bringing people together. When we first started this thing, it was literally about two things: creating the best light beer on the planet and embodying the spirit of light beer by creating a sense of community." says Garage Beer Founder Andy Sauer. "Along the way, and I'm not sure why, we started getting tons of wedding invites every month which has been a very rewarding way to stay close to our community. Philly has always been an incredible supporter of Garage Beer. We've shot commercials here, had red carpet premieres, and had some amazing times at Eagles tailgates. We are excited to bring people together, in a very Garage Beer way and there is no better place than in the City of Brotherly Love."

But the celebration doesn't stop with the wedding. Garage Beer is bringing even more Philly flavor to the city with a slate of special activations and limited-edition releases:

- Jordan Spector-curated Philly Edition 15pk Limited Release — Available starting November 1 across the city, the limited-edition pack was designed by Philly artist Jordan Spector as part of Garage Beer's latest Philly-exclusive collection.

- On October 25, Garage Beer will team up with Spector for a Sip & Shop at Jawn Supply, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, where fans can grab a limited run of hats and shirts designed exclusively for the occasion. If you aren't luck enough to get your hands on one at the launch event, Garage Beer will continue to drop limited quantities throughout the year.

- Delco Donny's Tailgate Karaoke launches next Sunday at the stadium complex, giving Philly fans a chance to grab a mic, grab a Garage and show the city what they've got.

- Jason Kelce-inspired "62 Pack" — Yes, that's 62 beers in one case. The special pack hit stores last week.

Avive Named First Aid Sponsor of the 2026 Head of the Charles Regatta, Deploying 30 Avive Connect AED®s Across the World's Largest Rowing Event

Avive Connect AED®s will travel the course on safety bikes and medical boats and stand ready at all five aid stations, protecting athletes, volunteers, and spectators October 16-18

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Avive Solutions, manufacturer of the Avive Connect AED®s is the First Aid Sponsor of the 2026 Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR). Avive will provide 30 Avive AEDs to support the HOCR Emergency Services medical staff and protect athletes, spectators, staff and volunteers on and along the course during the three-day event, October 16-18, 2026.

Held on the penultimate complete weekend of October on the Charles River between Boston and Cambridge, HOCR is the world's largest three-day rowing competition. The 2026 regatta is expected to draw approximately 325,000 unique spectators, 11,500 competitors, and 2,400 volunteers.

"At an event the size and complexity of the Head Of The Charles Regatta, having an AED that combines compact size, lightweight portability, and advanced technology is a real advantage. Our medical teams cover a large footprint, often moving through crowded areas where every second counts. Avive's technology helps us put lifesaving equipment in the hands of our responders and get it where it's needed most." - Pete Davekos, NR-P Head of the Charles - Emergency Services

About the Event

The Head of the Charles Regatta is a head race, in which crews race against the clock over a long course rather than side by side. It runs along the Charles River from the Boston University Boathouse to Herter Park, with competitors navigating six demanding bridge turns. The course is about three miles (roughly 4,702 meters) long. More than 11,500 competitors compete across roughly 74 events, with hundreds of thousands of spectators lining the banks.

AED Deployment Plan

Avive's 30 Avive Connect AEDs will be positioned with HOCR Emergency Services to put a defibrillator within reach across the full length of the course, on land and on the water:

- Rapid Response Bike Teams: AEDs will travel the course on event bikes, allowing medical staff to reach patients quickly along the riverbanks and in crowded spectator areas.

- On the water: Every safety launch will carry an Avive AED, extending lifesaving capability onto the river, where land-based response is not possible.

- Aid stations: All five aid stations along the course will be equipped with Avive Connect AEDs, giving staff and the public fixed, reliable points of care.

How Avive Connect Supports Public and Athletic Events

Avive Connect goes beyond a device that delivers a shock. It is designed to connect the people, systems, and information needed for survival:

- REALConnect fleet-wide oversight: Event organizers and medical teams can monitor and manage the entire AED fleet, helping ensure devices are ready, accounted for, and deployed where needed.

- Intuitive, guided prompts: Clear, step-by-step instructions help anyone, from trained medical staff to a bystander or volunteer, use the AED successfully under pressure.

- Child Mode: Streamlined response for both children and adults, important at a family-friendly event that draws all ages.

- Connectivity for location awareness: Built-in connectivity helps teams know where AEDs are, which is essential for mobile units on Gators and boats moving along a three-mile course.

About the Head of the Charles Regatta

Brookside Preserve to Release Private Wooded Acreage in the Berkshires at One Day Grand Opening
Image File

October 24, 2026 land sale at NLP's Brookside Preserve will feature 2.5-acre estate homesites priced at $99,900 and a limited selection of wooded properties spanning more than 20 acres along the Richmond and West Stockbridge town line.

RICHMOND, Mass., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The family-owned developer behind Brookside Preserve today announced the grand opening of the private large-acreage community in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. The one-day land sale will take place Saturday, October 24, 2026, and will feature a limited release of wooded estate homesites ranging from 2.5 to more than 20 acres. The family also plans to retain a portion of the property as part of its own family's legacy land – a testament to the caliber of this Berkshire property.

Grand opening pricing includes 2.5-acre homesites from $99,900 and a 21.285-acre wooded property at $299,900. Private property tours and priority sales appointments are available in advance. To schedule a private tour or priority sales appointment, call or text 800-564-5092.

Brookside Preserve spans approximately 118 acres, with 91 acres in Richmond and 27 acres in West Stockbridge. The community features wooded terrain, natural privacy and Furnace Brook running through the property. County road access, electricity and internet service are available. Buyers may purchase now and build later with no required construction timeline, select their own builder and take advantage of available bank financing.

The family behind Brookside Preserve has been in the land development business for several decades and is backed by one of the nation's largest buyers and sellers of recreational and residential acreage. They fell in love with the property the moment they saw it. That immediate connection led to a decision to keep some of the acreage for their own family to enjoy and pass down through generations. Their choice to make Brookside Preserve part of their personal legacy reflects what drew them to the land in the first place: a rare combination of wooded privacy, natural beauty and proximity to the cultural and recreational destinations that make the Berkshires so distinctive.

The release comes as the Berkshires continues to draw significant visitor activity. The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism reported that direct visitor spending in Berkshire County reached $853.2 million in 2025, up 1.6% from 2024. Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, typically welcomes more than 350,000 visitors during its summer season. Brookside Preserve is approximately 10 minutes from Tanglewood and Stockbridge and approximately 15 minutes from downtown Lenox.

"Brookside Preserve gives buyers a rare opportunity to own private wooded acreage in the heart of the Berkshires while remaining close to the region's best-known cultural, recreational and dining destinations," said Jon Riley. "With homesites ranging from 2.5 to more than 20 acres, buyers can choose the setting that fits their plans and build when they are ready."

One Day Grand Opening Land Sale

The Brookside Preserve grand opening land sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026. Private tours and priority appointments are available in advance. A limited number of homesites will be released, and buyers attending the sale will have the first opportunity to select from the available properties.

Fitness 19 Releases "How to Use Visualization to Help Improve Your Performance"

TEMECULA, Calif., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fitness 19 has announced the release of its latest resource, "How to Use Visualization to Help Improve Your Performance." This guide offers an in-depth look at using visualization to improve athletic performance by focusing on the science behind visualization and tips and tricks for mastering visualization.

Visualization is the process of imagining oneself completing a certain action, process, or behavior successfully. Using all five senses, it requires a similar level of concentration as a strenuous workout. When done correctly, visualization engages the same neural pathways that are engaged during physical training and mentally prepares someone for the next skill attempt. Because people who visualize regularly spend time focusing on success, their brains are more prepared to succeed at things when opportunities arise.

Visualization is a personal process, so no two people will have the same visualization routine. When visualizing, people need to have a specific goal in mind, be in a quiet area, use their senses, and repeat the process. People use visualization for different purposes, including motivational, process, outcome, situational, and emotional. "Remember that your mental exercises are just as important as your physical ones, and training your brain will set you a step above the rest the next time you have practice," according to Fitness 19.

To learn more about how to use visualization to help improve athletic performance, please visit Fitness 19 here.

Former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy to Headline End Well 2026 Summit, Taking On Loneliness at the End of Life
Image File
Original HTML

In conversation with CBS News correspondent Jamie Yuccas, Murthy will explore connection, AI, and what it takes to care for one another through illness, caregiving, and grief

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- End Well, the leading nonprofit working to make the end of life part of life, today announced that Dr. Vivek Murthy, the 19th and 21st Surgeon General of the United States and founder of The Together Project, will headline its 2026 Summit on November 12 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and online. Murthy will speak with Jamie Yuccas, CBS News National Correspondent, about loneliness and human connection when people are facing serious illness, caregiving, dying, and grief.

The announcement comes as the country approaches a demographic turning point: the Congressional Budget Office projects that beginning in 2030, annual deaths in the United States will exceed births. This year's Summit asks, "When Does Now Begin?" The question runs through a day of talks and workshops that bring together people across disciplines and lived experiences to consider the choices people make, and the systems they encounter, long before and during a crisis.

Actress, writer, and caregiving advocate Yvette Nicole Brown will host the event, which is expected to draw hundreds of attendees in person and thousands more online. The program includes physician Lucy Kalanithi, MD, in conversation with patient Jessie Creel and physician and Claimable co-founder Warris Bokhari, MD, about finding a voice and a way forward inside healthcare systems. Other featured speakers include palliative care physician BJ Miller, MD; author Hope Edelman; physician and author Rana Awdish, MD; Modern Elder Academy founder Chip Conley; and dementia caregiver advocate Jessica Guthrie. Workshop leaders include death doula and Emmy-nominated television writer Darnell Lamont Walker; grief therapist and author Claire Bidwell Smith; and author Laurel Braitman. In one of the day's less expected sessions, members of the LA Improv Comics will lead a workshop that brings improv to the end-of-life conversation.

"When we started End Well, talking openly about death felt almost impossible. Nearly a decade later, we've watched that conversation move from the margins into living rooms, hospitals, and the culture at large," said Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider, founder of End Well, science journalist and a practicing physician. "Dr. Murthy has helped this country recognize loneliness as one of the most urgent health challenges we face. We are honored to welcome him to our stage."

Murthy's 2023 Surgeon General's advisory brought national attention to loneliness and social isolation as public health concerns. It reported that roughly half of American adults experience loneliness and that the mortality risk associated with lacking social connection is comparable to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day. Murthy is the author of the New York Times bestseller Together: The Healing Power of Human Connection in a Sometimes Lonely World and also hosts the podcast and newsletter Staying Human, where a recent episode with surgeon and Being Mortal author Atul Gawande discussed what makes life worth living. In conversation with Yuccas, he'll explore what helps people stay connected when illness or loss changes their lives, what AI companions and chatbots mean for people facing illness and grief, and what support families and communities need to show up for one another.

"Loneliness is a signal, the same way hunger and thirst are, telling us that something we need for our health is missing," said Dr. Vivek Murthy. "Caring for one another through illness and grief is its own kind of medicine. End Well brings together people who know that care firsthand and people imagining better ways to make it possible. I'm honored to join them in this conversation."

"'When Does Now Begin?' is a question most of us put off until a diagnosis or a phone call answers it for us," said Tracy Wheeler, Executive Director of End Well, who curated the program. "We built this day around people whose authority comes from being close to dying, including caregivers, clinicians, patients, and artists. They know something the rest of us need to learn: how to stay present, sit with uncertainty, and find meaning inside loss. These are capacities for living, and we don't have to wait for a crisis to begin practicing them."

End Well 2026 will stream free worldwide. In-person tickets and free virtual registration are available HERE. Continuing education credits are planned for eligible healthcare professionals, pending accreditation approval. The Summit also sets the stage for End Well's 10th anniversary in 2027.
