LightSolver is pioneering pure photonic computing, bringing a new computing architecture to the public markets to address the speed, energy and heat limitations of semiconductor-based computing

LightSolver has developed the world's first Laser Processing Unit™ (LPU™), combining the advantages of classical and quantum computing in a compact platform that operates without cryogenic or other extreme conditions and is designed for commercial deployment.

Commercial validation is underway with global leaders across mission-critical industries, including Boeing, a top-tier global financial institution, leading defense companies, oil and gas and energy companies, and leading engineering software organizations.

LightSolver's LPU™ is designed as a new computing layer alongside CPUs and GPUs, targeting computationally intensive workloads across scientific simulation, engineering, optimization and Physical AI.

LightSolver is advancing toward commercial availability of its LPU™ platform in 2028.

REHOVOT, Israel, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CollPlant Biotechnologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CLGN) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire LightSolver Ltd. ("LightSolver"), an Israeli deep-tech company pioneering a fundamentally new computing architecture based on lasers. The acquisition is expected to close this week.

LightSolver - Illustration of future LPU Unit

CollPlant is acquiring LightSolver utilizing an equity-centric consideration structure comprising upfront closing shares, alongside pre-funded warrants and milestone-based warrants directly tied to LightSolver meeting specific technological and commercial objectives.

LightSolver has developed the Laser Processing Unit™ (LPU™), an all-optical working computing platform that uses the physical interaction of lasers to perform computation. Rather than relying exclusively on electronic transistors to execute mathematical operations and move data between processing and memory, the LPU™ maps mathematical problems onto an optical system in which large numbers of variables can interact simultaneously.

By using light itself as the computational medium, the LPU™ is designed to perform massively parallel computation with exceptional speed and energy efficiency.

LightSolver's quantum-inspired architecture captures certain advantages of physical, highly parallel computation in a room-temperature platform while avoiding many of the practical constraints associated with quantum computing.

Targeting the Most Demanding Computational Problems

LightSolver is targeting some of the world's most computationally demanding problems, using its LPU™ to accelerate large-scale linear systems, optimization and PDEs-the mathematics powering everything from robotics and Physical AI, weather prediction to plasma physics, chip design, new materials and drug discovery, and real-time mission-critical decision-making.

From Technology Validation to Commercial Deployment

LightSolver has moved beyond fundamental research into real-world validation with leading global organizations.

Boeing: LightSolver recently announced a strategic financial and engineering partnership with Boeing (NYSE:BA). This funded engagement focuses on developing and adapting LightSolver's LPU™ technology to accelerate complex physics-based aerospace simulations. Specifically, the collaboration targets degradation-driven structural effects that govern asset lifespan and maintenance planning, addressing multi-trillion-dollar lifecycle challenges by executing simulations orders of magnitude faster than traditional GPU clusters.

World leading SW Engineering tools: LightSolver is working with some of the world's leading engineering software and technology companies to bring its photonic computing technology to mission-critical simulation workloads, including advanced mechanical design, structural analysis, fluid dynamics and multiphysics simulation. These collaborations are aimed at demonstrating a new level of speed and efficiency for computationally intensive engineering and Physical AI applications.

Design Partners: Major aerospace and defense sector entities are utilizing the company's platform to solve heavy computational optimization and simulation problems.

These partnerships demonstrate the wide-ranging, high-impact commercial viability of LightSolver's technology across mission-critical sectors as it approaches full market integration.

Executive Commentary

"We are excited to announce this transformational acquisition of LightSolver, which opens an extraordinary new growth vector for CollPlant in the high-performance photonic computing and supercomputing space," said Yehiel Tal, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of CollPlant, "While entering the photonics market, CollPlant remains fully committed to regenerative medicine and medical aesthetics. To this end, we are actively pursuing strategic collaborations with global leaders interested in advancing, integrating, or otherwise leveraging our technology and capabilities," Mr. Tal added.

Dr. Ruti Ben Shlomi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LightSolver, commented, "Computing is reaching an inflection point. First participant dosed in Phase 2 RENGEVITY-201 study evaluating pegrizeprument (VEL-101) in kidney transplant recipients

Pegrizeprument is being developed as a novel maintenance immunosuppressive therapy for the prevention of organ rejection in transplant recipients

This clinical milestone reinforces Veloxis' leadership and long-standing commitment to innovation in transplantation

CARY, N.C., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Veloxis), a global specialty pharmaceutical company part of Asahi Kasei Corporation, today announced that the first participant has been dosed in its Phase 2 clinical trial [NCT07290777] of pegrizeprument, a novel investigational maintenance immunosuppressive agent being studied for prevention of organ rejection in kidney transplant recipients.

"Advancing pegrizeprument into a Phase 2 study is an important clinical milestone for Veloxis and brings us one step closer to offering a potential new innovative therapy in a field where opportunities for meaningful innovation remain significant. We're grateful to the participants, investigators, and study teams making this trial possible," said Carl Kraus, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Veloxis.

The Phase 2 study, RENGEVITY-201, is a randomized, multicenter, partially blinded, active control trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of pegrizeprument compared with tacrolimus in the prevention of organ rejection in patients undergoing kidney transplantation. Up to 120 de novo kidney transplant recipients will receive rATG with corticosteroids and mycophenolate as maintenance therapy and will be randomized 1:1:1 to receive either pegrizeprument (one of two doses) or tacrolimus. The primary objectives of the study will evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of pegrizeprument.

"Our transplant franchise is built on a commitment to advancing care for transplant recipients through both established and investigational therapies," said Stacy Wheeler, Chief Executive Officer of Veloxis. "The continued development of pegrizeprument, together with ongoing investments in transplant-focused innovation, reflects our dedication to addressing important unmet needs and expanding future therapeutic possibilities for the transplant community."

Kidney transplant recipients require life-long immunosuppression, often associated with complex dosing regimens and comorbid toxicities. Despite advancements in post-transplant clinical care, complications of immunosuppression and allograft rejection may negatively impact graft and patient survival. With an estimated 270,000 people living with a functioning kidney transplant in the United States, there remains a significant unmet need for new therapies that address these complications while maintaining adequate immunosuppression.

About pegrizeprument

Pegrizeprument is a pegylated monoclonal antibody fragment that binds to and blocks CD28‑mediated effector-T cell costimulation, without blocking CTLA-4, an important protein found on T cells that naturally helps keep the body's immune responses in check. Pegrizeprument is, therefore, expected to have a dual mechanism of action where in a direct manner, it blocks CD28‑mediated T cell activation, and indirectly, it allows for CTLA-4 mediated immunosuppressive functions. Pegrizeprument is currently being developed for the prevention of acute rejection in solid organ transplant recipients.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Orphan Drug Designation to pegrizeprument for the prevention of organ rejection in patients receiving a liver transplant in December 2025 and for the prophylaxis of heart allograft rejection in patients receiving a heart transplant in March 2026.

Pegrizeprument, also known as VEL-101 and FR104, was licensed by Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from OSE Immunotherapeutics in April 2021. As part of the license agreement, Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. obtained worldwide rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize pegrizeprument for all transplant indications.

Zillow is helping 78,000 renters and counting turn monthly bills into credit progress

Zillow has reported nearly 2 million on-time rent payments to credit bureaus for free since launching its rent reporting program in 2024

In July, more than 78,000 renters who paid on time through Zillow had their payments reported to credit bureaus. That's 26% more than a year ago, reflecting strong demand for tools that translate rent into credit history.

Insufficient credit history was responsible for nearly one-third of mortgage application denials in 2025, edging debt-to-income ratio as the most common reason cited.

Nearly 4 million U.S. renters could become eligible for a mortgage by having their on-time rent payments reflected in their credit history, per VantageScore.

SEATTLE, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly one-third of mortgage applicants are denied a loan because of insufficient credit history, making it the most common reason for a denial.1 Yet the average renter's biggest monthly expense doesn't count toward their credit score. Zillow® is helping to change that. Since launching rent reporting in 2024, Zillow has reported more than 1.78 million on-time rent payments to credit bureaus for free.

More than one-third of renters planning a near-term move say they plan to buy their next home, but the credit barrier too often stands in the way. Zillow's rent reporting programs let renters build credit history with payments they're already making. Those who pay their rent on Zillow can choose to have those on-time payments reported to major credit bureaus for free.

Zillow is continuing to help a growing number of renters build their credit history via this program. More than 78,000 renters had payments reported in July, the most in any single month since the program launched, and up 26% from a year ago.

"Affordability is the headline in housing right now, and access to financing is a very important part of the story," said Michael Sherman, general manager and senior vice president of Zillow Rentals®. "Credit history is a barrier standing in the way of too many potential buyers. Rent reporting is a direct way to address that."

Rent reporting could move millions of renters closer to a mortgage. A report by VantageScore found that nearly 4 million homebuying age renters could become eligible for a mortgage — reaching a VantageScore 4.0 of 620 or higher — when on-time rent payments are reflected in their credit history.

In November 2025, Zillow expanded its rent reporting program to all renters via its CreditClimb tool, powered by Esusu. This additional offering means that every renter — even those who do not pay on Zillow — can now have their on-time rent payments reported to credit bureaus. Renters who consistently report their payments in Esusu-powered programs like CreditClimb have seen an average credit score increase of 53 points.

"Every on-time rent payment is evidence of the financial responsibility lenders want to see. We are giving renters ways to get credit for what they are already doing every month," Sherman said. "These programs are part of how Zillow supports people wherever they are, from finding a rental, to building credit, to eventually connecting them with a great agent or loan officer when they are ready to buy."

For renters ready to take the next step, Zillow offers tools to help them understand what they can afford and find available assistance. BuyAbility℠ gives buyers a personalized estimate of what they can afford based on their finances and current mortgage rates. Zillow for-sale listings also include down payment assistance programs buyers may qualify for in their area, helping address another common barrier to homeownership.

At IDF-WPR 2026 & ADC 2026 & Metabolic Diseases 2026, we shared how GS3 is bringing AI into everyday glucose management — from easier meal logging and food analysis to smarter insights into glucose trends.

Figure 3. Wicheeda Drill Holes WI26-102 & WI26-103 - Cross Section Looking Northeast

Robin Jones, Defense Metals VP Projects, commented: "We're exceptionally pleased that all eleven drill holes reported in today's news release intersected significant widths of high to moderate grade Rare Earth Element mineralization within the pit confines defined by the 2025 Preliminary Feasibility Study and are expected to contribute positively to a resource classification uplift."

Highlights of this season's drill program include:

Resource infill drill hole WI26-96 was collared in sedimentary rocks and drilled towards the Wicheeda Deposit. This hole intersected REE mineralized mixed xenolithic dolomite carbonatite rock that returned assays of 2.86% Total Rare Earth Oxide ("TREO") over 65 m; including a higher-grade interval averaging 6.15 % TREO over 20.3 metres (see Table 1 and Figure 1).

Collared from the same setup, drill hole WI26-93, cutting obliquely across the southern margin of the Wicheeda Deposit, yielded a broad intersection of mixed xenolithic and dolomite carbonatite grading 1.70% TREO over a 184 m interval; including 2.52% TREO over 57 m.

Drill holes WI26-100 and WI26-102, collared 100 m to the northwest of WI26-93, were oriented southwest and southeast, respectively, drilling outward from inside the Wicheeda Deposit. WI26-100 collared into REE mineralized dolomite carbonatite averaged, from surface, 2.40% TREO over 85 m; within a broader mineralized zone returning 1.55% TREO over 149 m. Drill hole WI26-102 also collared into REE mineralized dolomite carbonate yielded a higher-grade intercept returning 3.25% TREO over 34.3 m, within a broader interval averaging 2.62% TREO over 73.4 m to a depth of 79 m downhole with TREO assays for the remaining 47 m still pending.

4 holes (702 m) waste rock geochemical drilling

The resource infill drilling was designed to upgrade a significant tonnage of inferred resources, constrained within the limits of the current Wicheeda Project Preliminary-Feasibility Study ("PFS") ultimate pit design, to an indicated or better category (see Defense Metals news release dated February 18, 2025).

This news release presents Rare Earth Element ("REE") assay results for the first of 10-resource upgrade and infill, and one pit slope geotechnical drill hole (WI26-86) targeting the southern pit perimeter of the Wicheeda Deposit.

Analysis of the remaining 10 resource upgrade and infill drill holes is currently underway at ALS Canada Ltd. ("ALS") laboratories in Vancouver, Canada and are expected to be released in the coming weeks.

Methodology and Quality Assurance/Quality Control

The analytical work reported on herein was performed by ALS Canada Ltd. ("ALS") at their Langley (sample preparation) and Vancouver (ICP-MS fusion), B.C. facilities. ALS is an ISO-IEC 17025:2017 and ISO 9001:2015 accredited geoanalytical laboratory and is independent of the Defense Metals and the Qualified Person ("QP"). Drill core samples were subject to crushing at a minimum of 70% passing 2 mm, followed by pulverizing of a 250-gram split to 85% passing 75 microns. A 0.1-gram sample pulp was then subject to multi-element ICP-MS analysis via lithium-borate fusion to determine individual REE content (ME-MS81h). Defense Metals follows industry standard procedures for the work carried out on the Wicheeda Project, with a quality assurance/quality control ("QA/QC") program. Blank, duplicate, and standard samples were inserted into the sample sequence sent to the laboratory for analysis. The QP and Defense Metals detected no significant QA/QC issues during review of the data.

About Defense Metals Corp. and the Wicheeda Rare Earth Element Project

Defense Metals Corp. is an advanced rare earth elements ("REE") development company focused on delivering strategically critical metals to the western world defence, high-technology, and clean energy supply chains. The Company's primary asset is its 100%-owned Wicheeda REE deposit, located near Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.

The Wicheeda Project is one of the most advanced, undeveloped REE deposits in North America or Europe, featuring a robust mineral resource and mining reserve, as detailed in the Company's 2025 Preliminary Feasibility Study ("PFS"; refer to Company News Release April 7th, 2025) prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects. The PFS shows the economic potential of the deposit and supports future project development.

Defense Metals is committed to advancing the Wicheeda Project through the Feasibility Study stage, permitting, and ultimately into production, positioning the Company to become a reliable supplier of critical REEs that are essential to modern defence systems, advanced manufacturing, and energy-efficient technologies.

The PFS for the Wicheeda Rare Earth Element Project is preliminary in nature and includes numerous assumptions regarding metallurgy, capital and operating costs, and market conditions.

Mineral reserves and the economic outcomes, as projected in the PFS, are subject to significant uncertainties, and there is no certainty that the results of the PFS will be realized. Additional studies, including a Feasibility Study, and permitting, are required before a production decision can be made for the Wicheeda Project.
