TOKYO, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Located about 30 minutes from Tokyo, Koshigaya City in Saitama Prefecture will host the first "EDO Nigiwai Market — Koshigaya Vegetables and Traditional Crafts Experience Market" on November 15.

The event will take place at AEON LakeTown OUTLET, a major shopping destination in the area. Visitors can taste and purchase locally grown vegetables and food, discover traditional crafts such as daruma and hina dolls, and enjoy Japanese cultural experiences including live shamisen music, samurai performances, armor wearing and shuriken throwing.

The event is planned to continue approximately once every three months, featuring seasonal food, crafts and cultural experiences. Organizers aim to develop it into a gateway for both Japanese and international visitors to discover Koshigaya's history, culture and people.

Tourism Media Service spoke with the organizer about the concept behind the event and what visitors can expect.

The event is planned and operated by ROJICOYA, which develops cultural experiences and walking tours centered on Edo-period and traditional Japanese culture. A pre-event will be held on September 27, with visitor feedback and operational findings reflected in the first full-scale event on November 15.

The main theme is "Koshigaya — A Town That Helped Sustain Edo." Edo is the former name of present-day Tokyo and refers to the period from 1603 to 1868, when the city developed into Japan's political and economic center.

The market will introduce food, agriculture, craftsmanship and culture passed down in Koshigaya from the Edo period to today. Visitors will learn about the area not only through displays, but also by tasting, shopping, watching and taking part in hands-on experiences.

A Historic Post Town About 25 Kilometers from Edo

Koshigaya is located about 25 kilometers from Nihonbashi in central Tokyo. During the Edo period, it flourished as Koshigaya-juku, the third post town on the Nikko Kaido, a major road connecting Edo with Nikko.

A juku was a post town where travelers could rest, eat and stay overnight. Such towns also became important hubs for the movement of goods and information.

With rivers, waterways and fertile farmland, Koshigaya developed agriculture alongside transportation and trade. Local crafts and skilled handwork also grew as part of everyday life.

The EDO Nigiwai Market will show how that history remains connected to modern Koshigaya through local vegetables, food, crafts and culture.

For international visitors, "EDO" serves as an accessible gateway into Japanese history, while the event also introduces the farmers, craftspeople and residents who continue these traditions today.

Four Ways to Enjoy the Market

The venue will be organized around four main experiences, making it easy for visitors to understand what they can see and do.

Taste & Shop | The Flavors of Koshigaya

Visitors can discover vegetables grown in Koshigaya and other local foods.

Along with buying fresh produce and regional specialties, they can learn about the land where the vegetables are grown and the knowledge of local farmers. The aim is to introduce both the food and the people behind it.

See & Shop | Traditional Craftsmanship of Koshigaya

The market will introduce locally inherited crafts including Koshigaya daruma, traditional Japanese good-luck dolls; hina dolls, displayed during Hinamatsuri, Japan's annual Girls' Festival; samurai armor; and traditional boxes made from lightweight paulownia wood, known in Japan as kiri.

Visitors can see these items up close, purchase selected products and learn about the skills of the craftspeople who make them.

The experience also introduces monozukuri, a Japanese concept referring not simply to manufacturing, but to the care, skill and craftsmanship behind making things.

Watch & Listen | Japanese Live Music and Performances

The event will feature live performances of the shamisen, a traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument, as well as dynamic samurai performances.

Even visitors unfamiliar with Japanese history or performing arts can enjoy the sounds, movements and atmosphere as an introduction to Japanese culture.

Become a Samurai or Ninja | Armor & Shuriken Experience

Visitors can put on traditional samurai armor and step into the world of Japan's historic warriors.

A ninja-themed activity will also allow participants to try throwing shuriken, small throwing weapons commonly associated with ninja.

These hands-on activities are designed to make Japanese culture something visitors can experience rather than simply observe.

Together, the four elements — food, crafts, performances and hands-on activities — encourage visitors to explore the market while discovering different sides of Koshigaya.

From the Market to the Rest of Koshigaya

The attractions presented at the event are only an introduction to what Koshigaya has to offer.

A tourism information area will guide visitors to places throughout the city, including the historic Nikko Kaido and Koshigaya-juku area, local farms and workshops, shops, waterfront areas and cultural sites.

Among them are Hisaizu Shrine, a historic Shinto shrine; Koshigaya Noh Theater, where visitors can encounter Noh, one of Japan's oldest forms of classical performing arts; and Hanata-en, a traditional Japanese garden.

Visitors who enjoy Koshigaya's vegetables will be encouraged to visit farms and local produce shops. Those interested in craftsmanship can explore workshops and meet local makers, while visitors inspired by samurai culture or traditional performing arts can continue to historical and cultural sites around the city.

Organizers also plan to develop half-day and full-day tours connecting farms, workshops, shops, shrines, temples and cultural facilities, along with year-round bookable experiences.

A New Koshigaya Experience Every Three Months

Following the first full-scale event on November 15, the EDO Nigiwai Market is expected to continue approximately once every three months.

Each edition will feature seasonal vegetables, food, crafts and cultural experiences, giving visitors a reason to return and discover a different side of Koshigaya throughout the year.

The wider project positions the market as a gateway to the city. Rather than ending a visit at LakeTown, organizers hope visitors will continue on to farms, workshops, historic streets and cultural facilities around Koshigaya.

The project also aims to connect tourism with local industries and cultural heritage. By creating opportunities to meet farmers, craftspeople and cultural practitioners, organizers hope to encourage repeat visits, local spending and the continuation of regional traditions.

For travelers visiting LakeTown, the EDO Nigiwai Market offers an opportunity to discover another side of Koshigaya.

The hope is that visitors will leave thinking: "I didn't know Koshigaya had this kind of history and culture. Next time, I want to explore the city itself."

The market aims to become the first step toward discovering "the Koshigaya beyond LakeTown."

September insgesamt 1.000 Schlafsäcke an werdende Eltern.

A new educational television feature explores how regional community centers are re-engineering the paradigm of long-term chronic care by blending localized medical outreach with data-driven patient advocacy.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The upcoming Public Television segment of "All Access hosted by Andy Garcia" features 26Health to examine the evolving landscape of community healthcare. Filmed on July 29, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, the production highlighted how localized clinical networks address regional transmission spikes through integrated care models. By combining primary medicine, mental health infrastructure, and mobile testing units, the organization removes traditional barriers to entry for historically underserved populations.

26Health

Central to this educational narrative is a sophisticated philosophy of data diversity. The organization addresses clinical blind spots by intentionally gathering inclusive wellness insights from demographics frequently missing from broader medical studies, including Black women. This targeted approach ensures that preventative therapies and operational methodologies reflect the community's true epidemiology, turning regional clinical data into a powerful tool for public education.

"For too long, stigma has been one of the greatest barriers to better health outcomes. We know that people are far more likely to seek care when they feel seen and safe. The 26Health team combines compassionate, community-based care with meaningful data that reflects the populations we serve. That approach allows us not only to identify gaps, but also to improve prevention and deliver care that is both equitable and effective. This is how we build healthier communities today while preparing for the public health challenges of tomorrow," said Latrice Stewart, 26Health President & CEO.

Modern community health networks face significant operational hurdles due to shifting public funding models and localized budget reallocations. When municipal resources for preventative screenings diminish, community clinics must pioneer independent fiscal strategies to sustain complimentary public testing. These financial pressures require creative clinical operations, forcing regional providers to leverage private partnerships and distinct pharmacy programs to offset the rising cost of long-term antiviral therapies.

Beyond financial constraints, deep-rooted social taboos continue to disrupt public health interventions and early diagnoses. Misconceptions regarding viral transmission limits often prevent open dialogue between partners, delaying crucial preventative care. Furthermore, a widespread lack of awareness about modern long-acting injectable therapies and preventative protocols keeps vulnerable populations from utilizing highly effective, discreet medical alternatives that fit easily into daily life.

About "All Access hosted by Andy Garcia": "All Access hosted by Andy Garcia" is an award-winning short-form documentary series engineered for Public Television stations nationwide. The program specializes in producing deeply informative, educational content that highlights groundbreaking advancements across medicine, technology, commerce, and environmental science. New technology turns a smartphone selfie and short questionnaire into personalized hair profiles and product recommendations for beauty brands and retailers

NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Haut.AI, a SaaS technology company specializing in AI-powered skin intelligence and personalized skincare, today announced the commercial launch of Hair Analysis, a B2B AI-powered hair assessment technology that enables beauty brands and retailers to deliver personalized haircare recommendations through digital commerce experiences.

Haut.AI - Hair Analysis Image

Hair Analysis combines a smartphone selfie with a short questionnaire to create a personalized hair profile. The technology evaluates six visible hair characteristics, combines those findings with information about a consumer's routine and concerns and connects the resulting profile with relevant products from a brand's catalog. Hair Analysis is now commercially available to beauty and retail companies worldwide.

The launch expands Haut.AI's personalization platform beyond skincare, allowing brands to offer AI-powered skin and hair experiences through the same SaaS infrastructure.

"Haircare has faced a longstanding personalization challenge: hair is highly individual, yet product discovery still often relies on broad categories and trial and error," said Anastasia Georgievskaya, CEO & Co-founder of Haut.AI. "Hair Analysis addresses that gap by combining visual assessment with consumer-provided insights to help brands connect people with more relevant products."

How Haut.AI Hair Analysis Works

Consumers can complete a Hair Analysis assessment in less than one minute. After answering a short questionnaire about their hair, styling habits and concerns, they take a smartphone selfie that is analyzed using Haut.AI's computer-vision technology.

The system evaluates six visible characteristics:

Hair curvature

Hair density

Hair volume

Frizz level

Hair color

Color uniformity

Those findings are combined with questionnaire responses to create a personalized hair profile. The combined inputs support recommendations across 19 hair concerns, including dryness, frizz, split ends, hair loss, chemical damage, dandruff, lack of volume and oily or greasy hair.

Hair Analysis spans 12 product categories, from shampoos and conditioners to treatments, masks, oils, and styling products.

How Hair Analysis Helps Beauty Brands Personalize Haircare

Hair Analysis is delivered through Haut.AI's SaaS platform and can be integrated into beauty brands' and retailers' digital commerce experiences. Brands can manage product catalogs, configure recommendation logic, connect individual hair profiles with relevant products from their own portfolios, and access consumer insights generated from hair analysis data to better understand customer needs and preferences.

Companies already using Haut.AI for skin analysis can add hair personalization through the same platform, creating a unified technology foundation for personalized skin and hair experiences.

Hair Analysis Builds on Haut.AI's Beauty Personalization Technology

Hair Analysis was initially co-developed with Grupo Boticário following the Brazilian beauty company's strategic investment in Haut.AI. The collaboration combined Haut.AI's computer-vision and AI-powered personalization capabilities with Grupo Boticário's experience in haircare science, consumer insights and diverse hair needs. Grupo Boticário served as Haut.AI's launch partner for the technology, which is now available to beauty brands and retailers worldwide.

"As an early partner in the development of Hair Analysis, we've seen firsthand how this technology can make haircare discovery intuitive for consumers," said Gustavo Dieamant, Executive Director of R&D at Grupo Boticário. "Hair needs are incredibly diverse, and Haut.AI has developed a solution that translates that complexity into an experience that helps consumers identify products suited to their individual needs. We're excited to see Haut.AI now bring this technology to beauty brands around the world."

With Hair Analysis joining Haut.AI's Face Analysis 3.0 and recently launched Body Analysis, Haut.AI now provides AI-powered personalization across face, body and hair. This broad coverage enables beauty brands, pharmacy groups and retailers with diverse product portfolios to use a unified technology platform. It helps them address a wider range of consumer needs, deliver more personalized product recommendations and create connected beauty experiences across digital and in-store channels.

Business-Health-Studie: Zwei von drei Herstellern planen weitere Preiserhöhungen - Kommt der Preisschock für Electronics, Möbel & Co.?

Bild-Infos Download

Genau hier setzt Rankscale an.

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BioArctic AB's (publ) (STO: BIOA B) partner Eisai announced today that Canada's Drug Agency (CDA-AMC) has issued a final recommendation supporting public reimbursement of Leqembi (lecanemab) for eligible patients in Canada with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (early AD).

The final recommendation follows a reconsideration by CDA-AMC and represents an important step toward broadening access to Leqembi in Canada. Next steps include negotiations through the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance, followed by reimbursement decisions by public drug plans across Canada's provinces and territories.

More than 770,000 people in Canada were estimated to be living with dementia in 2025, and that number is projected to increase to 1.7 million by 2050.[1]

About Leqembi® (lecanemab)

Leqembi is the result of a strategic research alliance between BioArctic and Eisai. It is a humanized immunoglobulin gamma 1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody directed against aggregated soluble (protofibril) and insoluble forms of amyloid-beta (Aβ).

Leqembi is approved in 53 countries and is under regulatory review in 6 countries. Following the initial phase with treatment every two weeks for 18 months, intravenous (IV) maintenance dosing with treatment every four weeks is approved in 8 countries, including the United Kingdom, China, the US and Japan, and applications have been filed in 12 countries and regions. In the US, Leqembi Iqlik® is approved for subcutaneous dosing with an autoinjector as a starting dose and maintenance treatment of early Alzheimer's disease. In November 2025, a new drug application for subcutaneous formulation of Leqembi for initiation treatment was submitted in Japan. In December 2025, Leqembi was included in the "Commercial Insurance Innovative Drug List", recently introduced by the National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) of China. In January 2026, the Biologics License Application for subcutaneous formulation of Leqembi was accepted in China and in February, the application was designated for priority review.

Since July 2020, Eisai's Phase 3 clinical study (AHEAD 3-45) with lecanemab in individuals with preclinical Alzheimer's disease meaning they are clinically normal and have intermediate or elevated levels of amyloid in their brains, is ongoing. The study was fully recruited in October 2024. AHEAD 3-45 is a four-year study conducted as a public-private partnership between Eisai, Biogen and the Alzheimer's Clinical Trial Consortium that provides the infrastructure for academic clinical trials in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in the US, funded by the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health. Since January 2022, the Tau NexGen clinical study for Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer's disease (DIAD), that is conducted by Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network Trials Unit (DIAN-TU), led by Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is ongoing and includes lecanemab as the backbone anti-amyloid therapy.

About the collaboration between BioArctic and Eisai

Since 2005, BioArctic has a long-term collaboration with Eisai regarding the development and commercialization of drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The most important agreements are the Development and Commercialization agreement for the lecanemab antibody, which was signed 2007, and the Development and Commercialization agreement for the antibody lecanemab back-up for Alzheimer's disease, which was signed 2015. In 2014, Eisai and Biogen entered into a joint development and commercialization agreement for lecanemab. Eisai is responsible for the clinical development, application for market approval and commercialization of the products for Alzheimer's disease. BioArctic has the right to commercialize lecanemab in the Nordic region and is currently preparing for commercialization in the Nordics together with Eisai. BioArctic has no development costs for lecanemab in Alzheimer's disease and is entitled to payments in connection with sales milestones as well as royalties on global sales.
