WENZHOU, China, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EVB, a provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and solutions, announced that its BUDC ultra-slim dual-connector DC EV charger has received the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 and the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026. The recognitions highlight the product's combination of industrial design, engineering performance and deployment value.

With a total output of 150 kW and a body thickness of approximately 100 mm, the BUDC addresses a common challenge for European DC fast-charging projects: installing high-power equipment where space is limited. Its flat architecture supports wall-mounted and embedded installation in urban streets, parking facilities, bus depots, truck depots and fleet sites.

The BUDC can be configured with dual CCS2 connectors and features an IP65-rated enclosure for outdoor installations. A single connector can deliver up to 150 kW, while intelligent power allocation distributes available output when two vehicles charge simultaneously. Its liquid-cooling system and independently replaceable AC, DC and control modules simplify maintenance and support reliable operation.

Das Tor ist geöffnet, das Abenteuer Feuerland im Zoo Leipzig hat begonnen: Die am 1. September 2026 feierlich eröffnete Küsten- und Meereslandschaft nimmt die Besucher mit auf eine Reise an den Pazifik Südamerikas. Mehr als fünf Millionen Liter Wasser füllen das riesige Schwimmbecken, durch das ein über 100 Meter langer Unterwassertunnel führt, der den Gästen spektakuläre 360-Grad-Einblicke verspricht. Wer hindurchgeht, taucht mitten ein in die Welt der Robben und Humboldtpinguine. Eine Wellenanlage sorgt für Bewegung im Wasser, während Strandbereiche den Tieren Rückzugs- und Ruheplätze bieten.

Kältemittel R134a: ADAC fordert klare Regeln Steigende Kosten und sinkende Verfügbarkeit

Rechtssichere Lösungen für ältere Fahrzeug-Klimaanlagen fehlen

Für viele Halter älterer Fahrzeuge, die das Kältemittel R134a nutzen, könnte laut ADAC die Wartung der Klimaanlage künftig schwieriger und teurer werden. Verschärfte EU-Vorgaben sorgen dafür, dass die Nutzung von R134a weiter eingeschränkt wird. Gleichzeitig fehlen für den Fahrzeugbestand bislang breit verfügbare und rechtssicher freigegebene Alternativen.

Schon seit 2017 darf R134a nicht mehr in neu zugelassenen Pkw verwendet werden. Zwar bieten manche Werkstätten eine Umrüstung auf das neuere, klimafreundlichere Kältemittel R1234yf an, doch bestehende R134a-Anlagen sind dafür in der Regel nicht ausgelegt und es fehlen nach Kenntnis des ADAC eindeutige Genehmigungen und technische Freigaben. Offen sind insbesondere mögliche Auswirkungen auf die Betriebserlaubnis und Haftungsfragen.

Der ADAC warnt ausdrücklich vor günstigen Nachfüllkits auf Butan- oder Propanbasis, die im Internet teilweise als R12 oder HC-12a angeboten werden. Sie sind für Fahrzeug-Klimaanlagen meist nicht zugelassen und können im Falle eines Unfalls oder technischen Defekts ein Brandrisiko darstellen. Eine funktionierende Klimaanlage ist nicht nur eine Komfortfrage: Sie hilft, den Innenraum zu kühlen, beschlagene Scheiben schnell zu entfeuchten und trägt damit auch zur Fahrsicherheit bei.

Der ADAC unterstützt das Ziel der EU, fluorierte Treibhausgase zu reduzieren. Für Millionen ältere Fahrzeuge müssen jedoch bezahlbare, technisch sichere und rechtlich zulässige Lösungen geschaffen werden. Der Mobilitätsclub fordert deshalb eine verbindliche Rechtsgrundlage, einheitliche technische Anforderungen an Umrüstungen und fahrzeugspezifische Freigaben der Hersteller.
