Allergan Aesthetics Unveils the Layered Beauty Report, Advancing the Global Conversation Around Aesthetic Care

- Building on insights from the U.S. Aesthetics Evolution series, including What Consumers Really Want, new global report explores evolving consumer attitudes toward beauty and aesthetic treatments

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, today unveiled the Layered Beauty: The New Aesthetic Mindset report, informed by research among more than 12,000 beauty-involved consumers across nine global markets, complemented by practitioner expertise and regional perspectives. The report provides a global perspective on the impact of cultural attitudes toward beauty and aging to evolve the aesthetic treatment landscape and offers healthcare providers new perspectives on the behaviors shaping today's aesthetic patients.

"Aesthetic medicine is increasingly defined by personalization, education and long-term, consultative treatment planning to deliver natural outcomes," said Nicole Mowad-Nassar, Senior Vice President, AbbVie and President, Global Allergan Aesthetics. "Layered Beauty brings together perspectives from consumers and practitioners around the world to better understand these shifts and help inform the future of the global aesthetic treatment landscape."

Inspired by the growing concept of layering across beauty, skincare and wellness, the report explores how consumers are bringing that same philosophy to aesthetic medicine, favoring personalized, multimodal treatment plans over one-time transformations.

"As providers, we're seeing patients approach aesthetics with a much more thoughtful, long-term mindset," said Dr. Jeanette Black, Board-Certified Dermatologist and U.S. contributor to the Layered Beauty Report. "Rather than asking for a single treatment, many patients are looking for personalized plans that evolve with them and complement their overall approach to beauty and wellness. These findings validate what we're experiencing in practice and reinforce the importance of individualized treatment planning and trusted patient-provider relationships."

Key findings from the report include:

- Consumers are shifting from one-time treatments toward personalized, long-term aesthetic plans that evolve alongside their goals and life stages.

- Skin quality is increasingly viewed as the foundation of aesthetic care, with consumers embracing a more holistic approach that integrates aesthetic treatments into their broader beauty and wellness routines.

- Healthcare provider expertise remains essential, as consumers increasingly rely on trusted providers to educate them, guide long-term treatment strategies and recommend personalized, complementary approaches.

- While global trends continue to emerge, beauty ideals and treatment priorities vary across regions, underscoring the importance of localized perspectives in aesthetic care.

The Layered Beauty Report reflects Allergan Aesthetics' ongoing commitment to advancing education through meaningful consumer insights. The findings reinforce the value of personalized, holistic aesthetic treatment through multimodal approaches tailored to individual goals.

OrthoArizona Opens New $25 Million Orthopedic Center in Glendale

50,000-square-foot campus near Westgate and State Farm Stadium delivers comprehensive musculoskeletal care, surgery, therapy and imaging under one roof

Glendale, Ariz., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- OrthoArizona, the largest physician-led orthopedic group in the Southwest, today opened another flagship location: a $25 million, 50,000-square-foot orthopedic center at 9070 W. Glendale Ave., adjacent to Westgate and State Farm Stadium.

The Glendale center combines comprehensive musculoskeletal care, an on-site ambulatory surgery center, physical therapy and advanced imaging including MRI in a single building, carrying patients through the entire journey from first visit to full recovery.

"Since 1994, OrthoArizona has grown by staying close to the communities we serve, and Glendale is the clearest expression of that yet," said Dr. Rajan Bhatt, chief executive officer of OrthoArizona. "We are expanding with discipline, investing in the facilities, technology and people that let our physicians deliver exceptional, compassionate care."

Glendale is the newest addition to a multi-site expansion program OrthoArizona has accelerated under Bhatt, who was appointed chief executive officer in late 2024. In addition to Glendale, the group opened an advanced imaging center in Scottsdale and a 13,000-square-foot comprehensive center in Verrado, and has committed $12.1 million to modernizing and expanding five existing centers across the Phoenix metro area. Deer Valley alone is more than doubling in size, from approximately 12,000 to nearly 26,000 square feet. In all, the group has added approximately 77,000 square feet of clinical space since Bhatt became chief executive officer. A 50,000-square-foot center in Chandler is scheduled to open in summer 2027.

"As a physician-led organization, our decisions start with what patients and providers actually need at the point of care," said Dr. Caleb Behrend, president of OrthoArizona. "Putting the clinic, imaging, surgery and therapy in one building shortens the path from injury to recovery, and it lets our surgeons and therapists work as one team around each patient."

Demand is being driven by the state's demographics and by health care's expanding role in Arizona's economy. More than 19% of Arizona residents are 65 or older, a share projected to reach 22% by 2035, while health care has become the state's largest and fastest-growing employment sector, accounting for one in every three new Arizona jobs, according to the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity.

Appointed CEO in late 2024, Bhatt brings nearly 20 years of health care leadership to OrthoArizona. A physician entrepreneur, he previously founded and scaled Spectrum Dermatology into Arizona's largest dermatology group before its private equity exit in 2021.

OrthoArizona will host a ribbon cutting and community open house at the Glendale location this fall. For more information, visit orthoarizona.com.

PG&E Launches Strategic Review to Build a Better, More Affordable Energy Future for California Customers
Image File
Original HTML

- PG&E is reviewing all available options to determine how the Company can best be organized and financed to attract the affordable investments needed to deliver the safe, reliable and affordable energy California customers deserve

- To help keep customer costs down, PG&E plans to defer approximately $2 billion of work in 2027, reducing the need for higher-cost borrowing while maintaining critical safety investments and compliance obligations

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG) and Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("PG&E" and together, the "Company") today announced actions designed to strengthen the Company's ability to deliver safe, reliable and affordable energy for California customers and attract the investment required to meet the region's growing energy demand.

These actions include a strategic review of the Company's businesses, and short-term updates to its 2027 Capital Plan that reduce near-term financing costs while maintaining safety performance.

"Over the last several years, PG&E has made meaningful progress improving safety, reliability and affordability for our customers. But California's wildfire liability framework continues to create financing risks that drive higher costs, affect customer affordability, and limit investment in the energy system. Something has to change so that we can better serve our customers. That's why we're taking action today," said PG&E Corporation CEO Patti Poppe.

Today's announcement reflects the Company's commitment to continue working with policymakers and regulators to identify durable solutions for customers and California.

Strategic Review

PG&E Corporation's Board of Directors has established a Strategic Review Committee, composed of four independent directors, to guide the Company's strategic review (the "Strategic Review"). The review will evaluate the full range of regulatory, financial, operational and strategic alternatives reasonably available, including the full range of options related to how the Company is organized and financed to best serve its customers and California. Becoming a financially strong, investment-grade company is a foundational objective of the review. As part of the review, the Company will seek input from California regulators, policymakers and stakeholders in pursuit of a sustainable path forward.

The objective is to identify a structure that:

- Maintains industry-leading safety performance;

- Improves customer affordability;

- Strengthens energy system reliability and resiliency; and

- Creates a financially strong, investment-grade company capable of attracting affordable, long-term investment for California's long-term energy needs and that honors all existing labor agreements, pension commitments and claims obligations.

The Company expects to provide updates on the Strategic Review during its regular quarterly earnings calls or when there are material developments.

Revised 2027 Capital Plan

As a short-term step while the Strategic Review is underway, and to help reduce customer costs associated with higher financing expenses, the Company plans to update its 2027 Capital Plan. PG&E expects to defer approximately $2 billion of planned investment while still investing approximately $11.4 billion in California in 2027. As a result, the Company's debt financing needs would be reduced by $2 billion. This directly benefits customers through lower financing costs.

PG&E has identified work that can be delayed or deferred, slowing PG&E's growth and acceleration of some programs. PG&E will continue to fund critical safety programs and maintain current performance on compliance obligations, including its Wildfire Mitigation Plan and safety certification requirements.

Financial Guidance

PG&E Corporation is reaffirming its full-year 2026 non-GAAP Core earnings guidance range of $1.64 to $1.66 per share and is initiating full-year 2027 non-GAAP Core earnings guidance in the range of $1.78 to $1.82 per share.1

Pursuant to the Strategic Review, the Company plans to re-evaluate its long-term non-GAAP Core EPS growth rate along with its 2028-2030 capital investment and rate base outlooks.

Investor Call

PG&E Corporation will hold a conference call at 5:30 a.m. Pacific / 8:30 a.m. Eastern today. The public can access the conference call through a simultaneous webcast. The link is provided below and will also be available from the PG&E Corporation Investor Relations website.

These statements are based on current expectations and assumptions, which management believes are reasonable, and on information currently available to management, but are necessarily subject to various risks and uncertainties. In addition to the risk that these assumptions prove to be inaccurate, factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from those contemplated by such forward-looking statements include the timing and outcome of the Strategic Review, including whether any strategic alternative will be identified and approved by PG&E Corporation's Board of Directors, the risk that a strategic alternative may not be able to be consummated, including the possibility that required regulatory approvals from any applicable governmental entities (or any conditions, limitations or restrictions placed on such approvals) are not able to be obtained, the possibility that, even if a strategic alternative is achieved, that any or all of the intended benefits of a strategic alternative will not be achieved, and the factors disclosed in PG&E Corporation's and PG&E's joint Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025, their most recent Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Form 10-Q), and other reports filed with or furnished to the SEC, which are available on PG&E Corporation's website at www.pgecorp.com and on the SEC's website at www.sec.gov. About PG&E Corporation

1 PG&E Corporation is unable to provide GAAP guidance or present a quantitative reconciliation of forward-looking non-GAAP core earnings, non-GAAP core EPS, or non-GAAP core EPS growth without unreasonable effort because specific line items, which may be significant, are not estimable. For instance, amortization of the Wildfire Fund contribution asset, the impacts of regulatory decisions, special tax items, and wildfire-related costs, net of recoveries, are difficult to predict due to various factors outside of management's control.

Frost & Sullivan released White Paper on Global Solar Generator and Plug-in Solar Storage Industry

Frost & Sullivan released White Paper on Global Solar Generator and Plug-in Solar Storage Industry

SHANGHAI, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan has released the White Paper on Global Solar Generator and Plug-in Solar Storage Industry, providing a comprehensive review of the market's development, safety framework, competitive landscape and future trends. According to the white paper, growing demand for household backup power, outdoor electricity use, self-consumption and greater energy independence is accelerating the evolution of solar generators and plug-in solar storage from scenario-specific supplementary power sources into more comprehensive household energy solutions. The global market grew from approximately USD 1.1 billion in 2021 to USD 2.6 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach approximately USD 5.8 billion by 2030.

As the market expands, safety is becoming increasingly important not only as a fundamental product requirement, but also as a key factor influencing consumer choice, market access and long-term brand competitiveness. Solar generators and plug-in solar storage products combine relatively high energy capacity, high power output and highly integrated electrical systems, while increasingly being used in homes, vehicles and outdoor environments in close proximity to users. The white paper therefore highlights the importance of building systematic safety capabilities across battery cells, battery management systems, thermal management, structural and electrical protection, environmental adaptability and lifecycle quality management. As products continue to advance toward higher capacity, greater power output, faster charging and smarter energy management, industry competition is expected to shift beyond individual product specifications toward a broader assessment of safety, performance, reliability and intelligence.

The white paper also identifies Jackery as a representative leading brand in the industry. According to Frost & Sullivan's research, Jackery ranked first globally in terms of both cumulative sales volume and cumulative revenue during the measurement period, reflecting sustained market leadership across multiple product cycles and geographic markets. Building on its established presence in portable power stations and portable solar panels, Jackery has continued to broaden its portfolio into balcony and plug-in solar storage, household backup power and wider household green-energy solutions. At the same time, the brand has continued to strengthen its multi-layer safety architecture, integrated R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and global market presence.

As highlighted in the Frost & Sullivan white paper, safety serves as the cornerstone for solar generators and plug‑in solar storage to enter mass‑market households. Jackery has built its FortiShield seven‑layer comprehensive safety protection system covering battery‑cell‑level protection, smart BMS management, thermal‑structural protection, emergency fault intervention, electrical‑load protection, all‑weather structural protection and living‑environment safety. According to Frost & Sullivan's review of publicly‑available information, as of August 2026, Jackery has recorded no known mass‑recall incidents stemming from product‑design flaws. Supported by whole‑lifecycle quality control and extensive global safety certifications, Jackery delivers robust safety guarantees for household, vehicle‑mounted and outdoor‑scenario applications, establishing itself as the industry's benchmark safety‑first brand — the most trusted safety‑first brand for solar generator & plug‑and‑play solar storage solutions.

Looking ahead, the white paper identifies continued safety enhancement, deeper integration of household and outdoor power scenarios, the coordinated development of higher performance and greater portability, and the evolution of intelligent energy management from basic connectivity toward more autonomous control as key industry trends. As households place greater emphasis on energy resilience, flexibility and independence, solar generators and plug-in solar storage are expected to become increasingly integrated into everyday household energy systems.

HONG KONG, 2. september 2026 /PRNewswire/ – Spoločnosť Cornerstone Robotics, inovatívna spoločnosť v oblasti chirurgickej robotiky z Hongkongu, dnes oznámila strategické partnerstvo so spoločnosťou Medtronic (NYSE: MDT), svetovým lídrom v oblasti zdravotníckych technológií.

Oslovenie tohto trhu si vyžaduje neustále technické inovácie a silné schopnosti škálovania.

Spoločnosť Cornerstone Robotics si vybudovala silný strategický základ prostredníctvom komplexného interného výskumu a vývoja v kombinácii s vertikálne integrovanou paradigmou. Nezávislým vývojom svojho základného hardvéru, ovládacieho softvéru, pokročilých algoritmov a vlastných zobrazovacích a energetických platforiem si Cornerstone Robotics udržiava podstatnú kontrolu nad integráciou produktov, kvalitou a odolnosťou dodávateľského reťazca.

V Cornerstone Robotics sme si vybudovali silný základ prostredníctvom komplexného interného výskumu a vývoja spolu s vertikálnou integráciou, čo nám umožňuje neustále zdokonaľovať kľúčové technológie chirurgickej robotiky.

Adaptiva Expands Go-to-Market Investment to Accelerate Next Phase of Growth in Autonomous Endpoint Management

Company builds on record business momentum with expanded leadership team, platform innovation and strategic partnerships

KIRKLAND, Wash.,, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Adaptiva today announced an expanded investment in its go-to-market organization to accelerate growth amid rising demand for autonomous endpoint management (AEM) and patching. Building on a record first half of 2026, Adaptiva is expanding its leadership team, strengthening strategic partnerships, and continuing to invest in platform innovation to help more organizations automate endpoint management and respond to security threats faster.

AI is making it quicker and easier for attackers to find vulnerabilities and develop exploits, shrinking the time organizations have to respond from weeks to hours. At the same time, IT and security teams are managing more endpoints, applications and vulnerabilities than they can address manually. This is increasing demand for autonomous endpoint management that can proactively remediate vulnerabilities across large enterprise environments. These market dynamics are driving adoption of Adaptiva's leading AEM solution, OneSite Patch.

"Our strongest periods of growth have reinforced what we're hearing from customers every day: enterprises must move beyond traditional endpoint management toward more intelligent, autonomous operations," said Deepak Kumar, founder and CEO of Adaptiva. "We're investing in our people, our partners and our technology to make autonomous endpoint management easier to adopt. The goal is simple: help organizations find and fix vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them, without adding more work for IT."

Adaptiva Builds the Team to Support Its Growth

To support its next phase of growth, Adaptiva is expanding its leadership team across marketing, sales, partnerships and customer engagement.

Recent additions include:

- Jeff Day, who joined as Chief Growth Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to lead Adaptiva's go-to-market strategy across sales, marketing, alliances and account management.

- Kurt Grover, who joined as VP of Global Alliances to expand Adaptiva's relationships with global systems integrators, cloud providers, technology partners and channel partners and help bring Adaptiva's technology to more enterprise customers.

Additionally, Adaptiva has open positions for a Vice President of Worldwide Sales, plus individual contributor roles in sales and marketing. All together, these roles are building the sales, marketing and partner organization Adaptiva needs to support its goal of triple-digit growth in 2027.

Adaptiva Reaches Record Bookings With Strategic Partners

Adaptiva's expanded investment follows a period of strong growth across its enterprise business and strategic partnerships.

In Q2 2026, Adaptiva achieved its strongest quarter yet in Channel sales, recording its highest number of bookings to date, reflecting Adaptiva's growing position as a leading solution for technology partners and VARs. This builds on Adaptiva's integrations and partnerships with security software leaders CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and SentinelOne, and reseller partnerships with Guidepoint Security, Carahsoft, and Insight Partners.

Adaptiva Makes Autonomous Endpoint Management More Practical

Alongside its go-to-market expansion, Adaptiva continues to add capabilities that help IT and security teams find and fix vulnerabilities faster while reducing the manual work required to manage endpoints at scale.

Recent advancements include:

Real-Time Data is Foundational to Enterprise AI Success, New Research Finds
Image File

Survey notes organizations that embrace real-time data into their workflows are more than three times as likely to see measurable results on the majority of their AI projects

OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Solace, the real-time data platform for the enterprise, today announced the release of a new IDC InfoBrief, sponsored by Solace, 2026 State of Real-Time Data: Agentic Enterprises Are Running on Real-Time Data. *

Based on a survey of 623 senior technology decision-makers at $1 billion-plus enterprises across eight countries, the study found that "agentic AI has moved from experiment to operational dependency, and it has quietly rewritten the enterprise's requirements for how fast data must move." Specifically, survey respondents deemed as leaders in real-time data maturity are more than three times as likely to deliver measurable business results across the majority of their AI projects. Leaders also report roughly 23% average annual gains in areas like speed to market, risk reduction and the ability to sense and respond to change quickly.

"Every enterprise has the same AI models. The winners are the ones whose agents run on trusted, real-time data, and the numbers back it up. When data moves in real-time, AI delivers. When it doesn't, AI fails to create sustainable impact," said Paul Fitzpatrick, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Solace.

The findings make clear why real-time data has become the make-or-break factor for enterprise AI:

- Real-time data and Agentic AI work in lockstep – 80% of respondents stated they are investing in or already running AI agents, and 90% say they have increased their focus on real-time data to support their agentic AI plans. When asked what is driving the growing need for real-time data, respondents named advances in agentic AI as the single biggest force re-shaping their data priorities, ahead of security, cost, and regulatory pressure

- The hardest part of AI is connecting agents to trusted data – 40% of organizations reported that connecting AI agents in real-time to reliable enterprise data is among the top obstacles to putting them into production, not actually building the agents. Data quality and consistency (46%) ranked as the number one technical challenge overall, cited even by the most advanced organizations

- Success comes through operating practices, not budget or headcount – the study found that real-time readiness and AI success barely move with company size, and vary only modestly by industry. What consistently separates leaders is how they work: 76% say they run real-time data across most or all of their operations, compared to only 7% among emerging organizations. Leaders also standardize on a single unified platform rather than a patchwork of loosely connected tools, and put real-time talent directly into the teams that use it

- The payoff compounds as agentic AI matures – the study reveals a clear roadmap: as organizations advance through the maturity tiers, agents in production and AI project success climb together. Leaders roughly triple both, with agents deployed in production rising from 20% at emerging organizations to 59% among leaders, and the share of AI projects delivering measurable outcomes rising from 35% to 67%.

- Satisfaction is high across the board, and investment is accelerating – 90% of organizations said their real-time data investments have met or exceeded expectations. Nearly all – 94% to 97% – plan to increase spending on both real-time data and agentic AI

"The survey shows real-time data moving from a technical concern to a strategic one across the board," said Carlos M. González, Research Manager, Event-Driven Automation and Analytics, IDC. "Organizations are citing agentic AI as the single biggest force driving their need for real-time data. That reordering of priorities tells you real-time data is becoming foundational infrastructure for AI, not an analytics feature."

Survey Methodology

IDC conducted a custom survey, commissioned by Solace, of 623 senior technology decision-makers in June 2026. All respondents work at organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue across eight countries, with the largest share in manufacturing, financial services, and retail. 78% are primary decision-makers for real-time data and 71% own their organization's AI or agentic initiatives. IDC scored each respondent from 0 to 100 on real-time data maturity, blending real-time deployment, agentic AI adoption, and measurable business outcomes, and grouped them into four tiers used throughout the study. The results have a margin of error of +/- 3.9% at a 95% confidence interval.

AI platform will support care coordination and compliance efforts for a participating Florida health system under CMS's Transforming Episode Accountability Model

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rainfall Health, an AI-driven compliance and reimbursement platform for hospitals and medical groups, today announced that Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida will implement Rainfall's platform to support care coordination and compliance activities associated with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM), which launched January 1, 2026.

Rainfall's platform is designed to support hospitals and post-acute care partners by helping coordinate care, monitor patient progress, and automate workflows associated with value-based care models such as TEAM. The platform will be used to support post-acute care coordination and quality reporting efforts for participating patients.

"This news reflects the growing demand for AI-enabled solutions that help hospitals succeed under value-based care models," said Eddie Qureshi, CEO and Founder of Rainfall Health. "Healthcare organizations participating in CMS's evolving value-based care models are looking for scalable ways to coordinate care, improve operational efficiency, and meet reporting requirements. Rainfall stands ready to help systems navigate these changes while supporting quality patient care."

CMS selected 721 hospitals to participate in the first cohort of TEAM, a mandatory payment model focused on improving quality and coordination of care for five high-volume surgical episodes through value-based reimbursement. Under this structure, hospitals that fall short of CMS's cost and quality benchmarks face steep financial penalties. However, hospitals that hit their benchmarks stand to gain the other side of that same equation: reconciliation bonuses built into CMS's incentive structure that can translate into up to $85M in new revenue.

Rainfall's AI-enabled platform is designed to automate care coordination and compliance workflows, helping providers collect and manage information needed to support quality improvement initiatives and reimbursement under value-based care programs.

"The opportunity to align financial incentives with quality patient outcomes has never been greater across our healthcare system," said Paul Uhrig, Senior Strategic Advisor at The Healthcare Trust Institute and member of the R.A.I.N Advisory Committee. "It's beyond exciting to see Rainfall's continued growth across leading hospitals and providers, ensuring they're capitalizing on each of the opportunities outlined in CMS's new value-based direction."

Rainfall continues to work with health systems across the country to maximize value from the TEAM mandate while setting higher quality standards for patient care. Today's news comes on the heels of Rainfall's recent $15M Series A funding round and TEAM Impact Report release last month.

Bayesian Health's FDA-Cleared Continuous AI Sepsis Monitor Approved for Medicare New Technology Add-on Payment (NTAP)
Image File
Original HTML

Beginning October 1, 2026, hospitals using Bayesian's continuous sepsis monitor can receive additional Medicare reimbursement for eligible inpatient cases, the first reimbursement pathway of its kind for presuspicion sepsis monitoring.

NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bayesian Health today announced that its FDA-cleared sepsis flagging device has been approved for a New Technology Add-on Payment (NTAP) under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' FY 2027 Inpatient Prospective Payment System Final Rule. Beginning October 1, 2026, hospitals using the technology can receive additional Medicare reimbursement for eligible inpatient cases.

The approval builds on Bayesian's Breakthrough Technology Designation and FDA clearance in April 2026, and makes Bayesian the first continuous sepsis monitoring technology with both FDA clearance and a dedicated Medicare reimbursement pathway.

"Early detection should be standard infrastructure in every hospital," said Suchi Saria, PhD, Founder and CEO of Bayesian Health. "Reimbursement is not what makes clinical AI valuable. It's signal quality clinicians can trust and the end-to-end infrastructure to operationalize those signals into everyday care. What this approval does is remove friction, so proven technology reaches more clinicians and patients faster."

How the payment works

Standard hospital payment rates are set on historical claims, so a hospital adopting a newly approved technology absorbs its cost inside a rate that predates it. NTAP closes that gap: it provides a temporary add-on payment, on top of the standard MS-DRG payment, for cases where a qualifying technology was used and costs exceed what the bundled payment covers.

Beginning October 1, 2026, hospitals using Bayesian's sepsis solution will have a way to bill for eligible use of the technology across adult Medicare fee-for-service inpatient admissions monitored by Bayesian, spanning an estimated 739 MS-DRGs. Eligible discharges qualify for an add-on payment of up to $61.84 per case. The pathway remains in place for up to three years.

For more information on payment guidelines visit https://www.bayesianhealth.com/insights/ntap-reimbursement-guide.

The value for health systems

Sepsis takes 270,000 lives in US hospitals every year¹ and drives more than $50 billion in annual hospital costs². Every hour of delayed treatment reduces survival by as much as 7.6 percent³. Health systems know this, but growing patient volumes, workforce shortages, and sustained margin pressure can slow adoption even when the clinical need is clear.

NTAP changes that equation, aligning Medicare payment with the clinical case for early detection so health systems can adopt proven monitoring technology while reimbursement helps carry the cost.

"Hospitals should not have to choose between financial discipline and getting ahead of the deadliest condition facing their patients," said Martin Doerfler, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Bayesian Health. "Clinical teams already know what early detection is worth. They have seen what happens when sepsis is caught hours sooner. This approval aligns the payment model with the clinical reality, and it gives health system leaders one less reason to wait."

Health systems' biggest challenges is operationalizing clinical AI beyond the pilot stage: integrating into the EHR without burdening IT, training clinical staff, tuning alerts so they get answered instead of dismissed, and knowing who is accountable for checking that the system still performs on an ongoing basis. Bayesian's platform is built to carry that work, with EHR-native workflow integration, documentation and reporting, and FDA-grade monitoring that tracks performance continuously. With NTAP, that support now includes CMS payment support .

Evidence that earned the pathway

Bayesian's sepsis flagging device was validated in a landmark prospective study published in Nature Medicine, one of the largest evaluations of AI in clinical care ever conducted. Patients whose clinicians engaged with its alerts showed an 18.2 percent reduction in mortality and received antibiotics a median of 1.85 hours sooner. Those results have since been matched or exceeded across a diverse set of health systems, with consistently high (80%+) clinician adoption, faster antibiotic delivery, lower utilization and lower sepsis mortality. Sustained adoption at that level is not an accident; it reflects continuous performance monitoring and tuning that keeps the system accurate as patient populations and clinical practice evolve.

Momentum

NTAP approval marks Bayesian's second major regulatory and policy milestone of 2026, following FDA clearance in April. The milestones cap a year of momentum for the company, which recently expanded its physician leadership team and partnered with Mayo Clinic to bring its platform to palliative care, demonstrating how the same real-time intelligence built for sepsis becomes a repeatable playbook across service lines.

Clinical AI has moved from pilot to strategy, and Medicare's decision reflects that shift: health systems now have the evidence, the clinical leadership, and the reimbursement pathway to move from adoption to transformation.

About Bayesian Health

Bayesian Health is the real-time clinical intelligence platform that helps health systems deliver proactive, highly-reliable care. By continuously reading the full patient record to establish each patient's baseline and detect meaningful change over time, Bayesian applies complex clinical reasoning to identify the patients who truly need attention and surface clear next steps. Built to work within leading EHR systems and backed by FDA-grade monitoring and governance, the platform enhances existing clinical workflows by adding a continuous intelligence layer that helps teams intervene earlier and more effectively. Bayesian has partnered with leading health systems to make the long-promised shift from reactive to proactive care across key drivers of mortality, readmissions, and length of stay, hardwiring quality as a durable strategy rather than a series of disconnected initiatives.
