Milestone helps bring Iowa's only nuclear energy center back online, strengthen grid reliability and meet growing electricity demand

JUNO BEACH, Fla., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE) today announced that it and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), through its Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF), have reached a combined conditional commitment and financial close on a loan of up to $1.9 billion to support the restart of the company's Duane Arnold Energy Center in Iowa. This milestone moves the company closer to restoring Iowa's only nuclear plant and adding reliable, around-the-clock energy to the regional grid.

The Duane Arnold Energy Center, a 615-megawatt nuclear facility in Linn County, Iowa, is expected to create substantial economic benefits for Iowa and the surrounding region. A study estimated that the restart could generate more than $9 billion in economic benefits for Iowa over 25 years, create thousands of American jobs during construction and refurbishment, support more than 400 permanent high-paying jobs during operations and generate approximately $75 million in tax revenue over the life of the project.

Last October, NextEra Energy announced plans to restart the Duane Arnold Energy Center no later than the first quarter of 2029, pending regulatory approvals. The DOE loan will help NextEra Energy return Duane Arnold to service for its customers, advancing one of the most significant nuclear restart efforts underway in the U.S.

"Restarting Duane Arnold is about delivering new power to meet new demand while generating billions of dollars in economic value for Iowans," said John Ketchum, chairman, president and CEO of NextEra Energy. "Just as importantly, it shows how America can support rapid economic growth and rising electricity demand while helping keep power affordable for existing customers. By bringing new generation online to serve new demand, we can strengthen the grid, create hundreds of good-paying jobs and help ensure Iowa families and businesses are not asked to bear the costs of growth. We appreciate the Administration's leadership in advancing America's nuclear renaissance and share its commitment to an all-of-the-above energy strategy that expands supply, strengthens energy security and keeps America competitive."

"President Trump has set an ambitious course to restore American nuclear leadership, and the restart of Duane Arnold Nuclear Plant in Iowa marks another step in advancing America's nuclear renaissance," said U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy James P. Danly. "Returning 615 megawatts of reliable baseload generation will drive down electricity costs, while supporting thousands of American jobs. This Administration is pursuing a comprehensive nuclear strategy, restarting existing reactors, increasing the output of our nuclear fleet, and accelerating new construction, to build the abundant, affordable, and reliable power system required for American prosperity and reindustrialization."

"This commitment from the Administration further demonstrates the importance of the Duane Arnold restart and future nuclear development," said Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds. "I was proud to sign a bill that will provide incentives for nuclear power development, which will put Iowa in the forefront of innovation in the industry. New nuclear development and the restart of Duane Arnold will meet our growing energy demand while also providing hundreds of good-paying jobs throughout the state."

More about Duane Arnold Energy Center

The Duane Arnold Energy Center operated safely and reliably for more than four decades before ceasing operations in 2020. NextEra Energy is pursuing the restart through a comprehensive regulatory, operational readiness and licensing process. Under the oversight of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other federal, state and local agencies, the company continues to conduct extensive inspections, engineering evaluations and readiness activities. In June, the Iowa Utilities Commission issued a certificate to NextEra Energy authorizing the construction and operation of Duane Arnold — another important milestone toward restarting the plant.

Original HTML

First OX40 agonist to demonstrate clinical benefit in a randomized study

- INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab delivers a 48.3% cORR and 72.4% of patients remain progression free at 6 months, compared with 26.5% and 42.8% for pembrolizumab alone

- Results are most pronounced in HPV+ patients, with cORR (80.0% vs 33.3%), CR rate (30.0% vs 0%), and PFS6 improvement (90.0% vs 33.0%) vs pembrolizumab alone

- Inhibrx will expand the Phase 2 study by approximately 50 HPV+ patients and may serve as a potential pathway to accelerated approval

- Positive results support large expansion opportunities into highly immunogenic tumors and combination with cancer vaccines

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Inhibrx Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: INBX) ("Inhibrx" or the "Company"), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing a broad pipeline of novel biologic therapeutic candidates, today announced the primary endpoint results from the randomized and controlled Phase 2 portion of the HexAgon study, which is evaluating the safety and efficacy of INBRX-106, a hexavalent OX40 agonist, in combination with pembrolizumab (the combination arm) versus pembrolizumab monotherapy (the control arm) in first-line patients with treatment-naïve, PD-L1 positive (CPS ≥ 20) metastatic or unresectable recurrent head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Baseline prognostic factors were largely balanced between the two arms, and the study is being conducted at more than 80 sites in the United States, Europe and Asia. The Phase 2 portion of the HexAgon study included a total of 68 randomized patients, 63 of whom were evaluable for the primary endpoint analysis, including 29 patients in the combination arm (10 of which were HPV+) and 34 patients in the control arm (nine of which were HPV+).

The primary endpoint analysis, which had a data cutoff of August 19, 2026, demonstrated a confirmed objective response rate (cORR) of 48.3% for INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab compared with 26.5% for pembrolizumab alone. Four patients (13.8%) in the combination arm achieved a complete response compared with no complete responses in the control arm. Median progression-free survival (PFS) continues to mature. As of the data cutoff, median PFS was 9.6 months for INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab compared with 4.9 months for pembrolizumab alone, with six-month PFS rates of 72.4% and 42.8%, respectively.

The efficacy signal was particularly pronounced in patients with HPV+ disease, where the combination arm demonstrated an 80.0% cORR compared with 33.3% for pembrolizumab alone. Notably, 30.0% of the HPV+ patients treated in the combination arm achieved a complete response, compared with no complete responses in the control arm. The durability of the benefit was also particularly striking, with 90.0% of patients receiving INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab remaining progression-free at six months compared with 33.0% who were receiving pembrolizumab alone. As of the data cutoff, median PFS in the combination arm in patients with HPV+ disease had not yet been reached compared with 4.6 months for pembrolizumab alone.

The combination of INBRX-106 and pembrolizumab was generally manageable. The most common treatment-related adverse events were rash, fatigue, and diarrhea, which were predominantly low grade.

"What is most exciting to us is the depth and durability of the responses we are seeing with INBRX-106, particularly in HPV+ disease," said Mark Lappe, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inhibrx. "These results strengthen our conviction in OX40-mediated T-cell costimulation and give us a strong rationale to expand the program, not only into HPV+ disease, but also to explore the potential of INBRX-106 in other highly immunogenic tumors and in combination with cancer vaccines."

Based on these results, Inhibrx plans to expand the randomized Phase 2 portion of the HexAgon trial by approximately 50 additional HPV+ Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OPSCC) patients (CPS ≥ 1), to support a potential accelerated regulatory pathway. Following the Phase 2 expansion, the Company plans to align with the FDA on this framework and initiate the Phase 3 portion of the HexAgon trial, which is intended to serve as the confirmatory study. These results also position OX40 agonism as a promising treatment approach beyond recurrent/metastatic disease, with potential to extend durable, T-cell driven antitumor activity into earlier-stage HPV+ OPSCC.

Beyond HNSCC, Inhibrx is evaluating the potential of INBRX-106 in other highly immunogenic tumor types. The Company is currently conducting a Phase 1/2 study of INBRX-106 in the perioperative setting of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), with initial results targeted by mid-2027. This readout is expected to provide important clinical insights to inform future development, demonstrating the potential for INBRX-106 to extend well beyond head and neck cancer into not only perioperative lung cancer, but broader solid tumor indications.

The Company also plans to explore the potential of INBRX-106 in combination with therapeutic cancer vaccines. The clinical activity and T-cell responses observed with INBRX-106 in HPV+ disease demonstrate its ability to amplify antigen-driven T-cell responses, providing strong scientific justification for cancer vaccine combination strategies.

The Company will host a live webcast presentation today, September 8, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time to further discuss the results. Six Flags Acquires Iconic ArieForce One, Bringing Fan-Favorite Roller Coaster Back to Life
Image File
Original HTML

Acclaimed roller coaster will debut at a Six Flags park during the 2028-2029 seasons, launching speculation among coaster fans worldwide

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:FUN), North America's largest regional amusement-resort operator, has acquired ArieForce One, the celebrated steel roller coaster that captured the imagination of thrill-seekers around the world and quickly earned recognition as one of the most acclaimed coaster experiences of the modern era. Six Flags will introduce the attraction at one of its parks during the 2028-2029 operating seasons.

While the coaster's future home remains under wraps, today's announcement officially launches what is expected to become one of the most closely watched and passionately debated conversations in the theme park industry: Where will ArieForce One rise again?

For three years, ArieForce One built a devoted following among roller coaster enthusiasts who traveled from across the country and around the world to experience its signature blend of speed, airtime, inversions and nonstop intensity. Named in honor of Fun Spot America founder John Arie Sr. by the family-owned company that developed the attraction, ArieForce One represented both an ambitious investment and a personal legacy for the Arie family.

When the attraction closed in August, fans openly mourned the loss of a coaster many considered one of the finest steel roller coasters ever built. Since then, the question has echoed throughout enthusiast communities, online forums and social media channels: Can one of the world's most celebrated coasters be saved?

Today, Six Flags proudly answers that question.

"From the moment ArieForce One closed, we knew how much this coaster meant to the enthusiast community and to guests who traveled from around the world to experience it," said Mark Pauls, chief operating officer of Six Flags. "This is a ride that consistently generated excitement, acclaim and passionate fan support. We are thrilled to preserve its legacy, invest in its future and bring this extraordinary attraction to a new generation of guests. This acquisition represents our commitment to delivering world-class thrills and creating unforgettable experiences across the Six Flags portfolio."

"When we built ArieForce One, we wanted to create something truly special. Something that would put Fun Spot America on the map with coaster enthusiasts and families around the world and create memories that would last a lifetime," said John Arie Jr, CEO of Fun Spot America. "Seeing ArieForce One preserved and finding a new home with Six Flags means a great deal to me and my family. Its story isn't ending, it's beginning a new chapter, and we are excited that future generations will get to experience ArieForce One.

Pauls added that while fans now know ArieForce One's future is secure, one major mystery remains.

"Part of the excitement is that the story isn't over," Pauls said. "We know fans will immediately begin theorizing about which Six Flags park is the perfect fit. The passion surrounding ArieForce One is unlike anything we've seen in recent years, and when the time comes to reveal its new home, we believe that announcement will be just as exciting as the acquisition itself."

Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction, ArieForce One quickly earned industry acclaim for its relentless pacing, massive airtime moments, innovative elements and unforgettable ride experience. The coaster became a bucket-list attraction for enthusiasts and a fixture on best-in-the-world rankings, making its closure one of the most discussed stories in the amusement industry. To honor that legacy, Six Flags plans to retain the classic ArieForce One name, honoring the coaster's history and preserving the identity that helped make it a fan favorite.

Now, its next chapter begins.

Since news of the closing began circulating, coaster enthusiasts have filled fan communities with theories about acquisitions and where the attraction might ultimately be installed. From parks already known for their world-class coaster collections to destinations seeking a marquee signature attraction, enthusiasts have begun making their cases for why their favorite park should become the new home of ArieForce One.

"The coaster enthusiast community has spent months wondering whether ArieForce One would be saved and where it might ultimately find a new home," said Derek Perry, president-elect of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), the world's largest amusement ride enthusiast organization. "Preservation is central to ACE's mission, so enthusiasts everywhere were hopeful this remarkable coaster would have a future beyond its original park. Today's announcement answers one question and opens the door to another. The speculation about which park will receive ArieForce One is going to be enormous."

Perry added, "Its farewell brought enthusiasts together from across the globe to celebrate a ride they love, and now they'll be watching every clue and announcement as Six Flags prepares for its next chapter."

Once reassembled and enhanced at its new Six Flags destination, the attraction is expected to become one of the premier thrill experiences in North America, drawing coaster enthusiasts, vacationers and adrenaline seekers alike.

Original HTML

DUBAI, UAE, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hisense, a leading brand in global consumer electronics and home appliances, is inviting visitors at IFA 2026 to experience how AI can make everyday home routines simpler and more intuitive. Under the theme 'Innovating a Brighter Life,' the Hisense AI Companion Suite, powered by ConnectLife, brings connected intelligence to the kitchen, laundry and living spaces.

Step into the kitchen and a simple question: "What should I make?" can set the experience in motion. The AI Companion Refrigerator recognizes stored ingredients and suggests meal ideas based on personal preferences. Once a recipe is selected, it can sync with the AI Companion Oven to support automatic cooking, while the AI Companion Wine Cabinet recommends pairings and maintains suitable storage conditions. After the meal, the AI Companion Dishwasher recognizes dish conditions and adjusts cleaning, demonstrating how AI can support the journey from planning dinner to cleaning up.

In the laundry area, visitors can see how the AI Companion Laundry Suite turns a routine load into a simpler, more automated experience. By recognizing clothing characteristics, it selects suitable wash and dry cycles and adjusts the process automatically, creating a load-and-go experience.

The experience continues in the living space. The AI Companion Air Conditioner senses indoor conditions and user presence, adapting airflow as people move through the room. Meanwhile, the AI Companion Energy System considers weather and time-of-use electricity pricing to help optimize household energy use.

Jason Ou, President at Hisense MEA and India, said: "We are delighted to welcome so many of our key clients and partners who travelled to join us at IFA 2026, and to share this moment with them as we showcase what is next for the connected home. The awards and recognition we have received here are hugely encouraging and reaffirm our commitment to technology and innovation that genuinely improves everyday life. For our region, these milestones reflect the trust our partners place in us, and they motivate us to keep raising the bar on product excellence and consumer experience across the Middle East, Africa and India."

Building on ConnectLife's support, Hisense is collaborating with Alexa+ to be among the first home appliance brands bringing smart home devices to Amazon's Alexa+ AI assistant using Amazon's new Smart Home AI Toolkit. Available in the coming months, Alexa+ customers will be able to control select Hisense air conditioners by simply saying what they need. Alexa+ will then map the request, navigate the settings, and complete the action for them.

Hisense's approach to innovation has also earned recognition at IFA, with several of its products receiving awards. The Multi Function II Series, an all-in-one energy-saving HVAC solution, received a Winner Award, while the X-zone Master was named an Honoree. The U8 Air Master Air Conditioner, W60 3D Kitchen-fit Series and 60cm Integrated Wine Cabinet were also recognized that underscoring Hisense's focus on combining intelligent technology, thoughtful design and everyday usability.

Across these IFA scenarios, Hisense brings its Smart Home Companion capabilities to life through V AIOS, giving devices the ability to Sense what is happening, Think through what to do, Communicate naturally with users and across devices, and Execute tasks by orchestrating devices and services autonomously. Together, these capabilities help AI Companion Suites understand context, make decisions and take action, helping the home do more while asking less of its users.

SINGAPORE, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- YYForce Inc. (NASDAQ: YFOR) ("YYForce" or the "Company"), an AI-enabled workforce management platform and integrated facility management (IFM) provider operating across Asia and beyond, announced the incorporation of Facadevision AI Pte. Ltd. ("Facadevision AI"), a Singapore-incorporated joint venture company established to strengthen YYForce's in-house IFM capabilities, adding drone-enabled facade inspection and cleaning to YYForce's service portfolio.

YYForce holds a 70% interest in Facadevision AI, with the remaining 30% held by Integral Cleaning Pte. Ltd. ("Integral"), a Singapore cleaning services provider with which the Company has collaborated on previous projects. Integral is expected to bring extensive operational expertise and established commercial networks within Singapore's specialized facade maintenance sector.

Facade maintenance in Singapore has traditionally relied on rope access and suspended gondolas, a labor-intensive, weather-dependent method that carries inherent work-at-height risk. Facadevision AI plans to deploy an enterprise-grade drone system for exterior cleaning and inspection, paired with AI-assisted image analysis to detect defects such as cracking, spalling, sealant failure, and water ingress across building envelopes. The approach is designed to reduce the number of personnel working at height, shorten project turnaround times, and give building owners a documented, data-backed record of facade condition to support periodic inspection requirements and seamlessly integrate with broader building management and compliance systems.

"We believe facade work is one of the last areas of the IFM industry still done largely the way it was done thirty years ago," said Mike Fu, CEO of YYForce. "Replacing ropes and gondolas with drones and AI will take skilled workers out of harm's way and put them behind better tools. We're excited to bring our clients the safer, smarter option they've been asking for, and expect to build Facadevision AI into a high-margin growth driver for our IFM business."

Facadevision AI will initially serve commercial buildings in Singapore, with commercial deployment slated to commence in Q3 2026, and the intention of extending into industrial and residential properties as the operation matures. The venture is expected to complement YYForce's existing IFM capabilities and open access to inspection and technical assessment work adjacent to YYForce's current service offerings.
