DLX is the operating system for tokenized finance, combining multi-chain enablement, a programmable smart contract composer, 24/7 transaction capabilities, integrated distribution, and institutional-grade workflow orchestration across traditional and on-chain markets

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Broadridge (NYSE: BR) today announced the launch of DLX, a fully integrated, end-to-end tokenization and digital asset infrastructure platform that enables financial institutions to operate across tokenized and traditional markets through a connected operating layer for on-chain and off-chain activity. Launching with capabilities to connect to the DTCC Tokenization Service via Canton and other networks, with broader use cases to be announced in due course.

"Tokenization is increasingly becoming the foundation of more programmable, connected and always-on financial markets," said Horacio Barakat, Global Head of Digital Innovation. "DLX gives market participants an accelerated pathway to operating on chain without sacrificing the controls, connectivity, and operating models they rely on today."

Building on Broadridge's established Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) capability for collateral mobility and securities financing, which processes more than $350 billion in daily activity across thousands of transactions, DLX extends Broadridge's tokenization infrastructure into a broader, multi-asset platform for issuance, trading, settlement, servicing, custody, governance, and distribution. By connecting tokenized workflows and a growing partner network with established market systems, DLX helps firms reduce the complexity of operating on chain, supporting asset classes including bonds, equities, funds, private markets, and money market instruments within a single, consistent framework for tokenization, governance, and operations.

Market Infrastructure for Tokenized Markets

DLX supports the full lifecycle of tokenized assets through a modular, multi-chain architecture enabling participants to issue and distribute their own tokens and participate in markets for tokens issued by others.

- Issuers can mint, issue, service, transact in, and distribute tokenized financial instruments.

- Banks and broker dealers can connect issuance, trading, transaction orchestration, settlement, servicing, custody, and market infrastructure workflows.

- Asset managers can tokenize and issue funds and investment products on-chain, automate lifecycle processes, and connect with institutional, intermediary, and wealth management distribution channels.

- Institutional investors can access and transact in eligible tokenized products, including tokenized funds, equities, fixed income instruments, and other financial assets.

- Wealth management firms can integrate access to eligible tokenized products and on-chain market capabilities into existing advisory, platform, and client service models.

By connecting issuers, investors, intermediaries, asset managers, and wealth distribution channels through a common platform, DLX is designed to reduce fragmentation across the tokenized asset lifecycle and expand access to new distribution models.

Institutional Orchestration Across On-chain and Traditional Markets

At the center of DLX is an institutional orchestration layer that brings together tokenization, smart contract services, trading and execution workflows, settlement, books and records, custody, wallet infrastructure, and connectivity across digital asset markets, payment rails, compliance providers, custodians, and distribution channels. This allows firms to integrate tokenized asset activity into existing operating models without having to manage the complexity of fragmented on-chain infrastructure themselves.

DLX supports self-custody, third-party custody, and hybrid custody models, enabling clients to determine how assets are held and administered based on their business strategy, risk framework, and regulatory requirements.

Built on a Proven Foundation

DLX builds on Broadridge's experience operating DLR at institutional scale. As Broadridge's proven at-scale capability for collateral mobility and securities financing, DLR demonstrates how distributed ledger technology can support high-value institutional market activity in production.

DLX extends that proven foundation beyond a single market use case into a broader modular platform for tokenization, trading, settlement, servicing, governance, custody, and distribution.

About Broadridge's Tokenization Solutions

Broadridge enables on-chain proxy voting and governance, digital asset infrastructure including post trade, wallets and custody, and the scaling of digital asset capabilities across multiple asset classes. Broadridge's governance platform serves all models of tokenized securities, including issuer-listed models, synthetic securities issued outside the United States, and third-party tokenized shares within the United States, helping ensure investors receive the same rights and protections regardless of how assets are structured or owned.

DLX is Broadridge's tokenization platform, designed to help financial institutions operate across the lifecycle of tokenized securities. It brings together solutions spanning issuance, trading, financing, settlement and servicing, including its Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) solution, the world's largest institutional platform for settling tokenized real assets, tokenizing over $351 billion a day. DLR supports repo transactions, intraday repo activity, collateral movements, settlement and servicing needs through established scale, critical market knowledge and technology designed for real-world market operations. As tokenization gains momentum across financial services, Broadridge is abstracting away the complexity and enabling a unified experience across traditional and digital assets.

Parteispenden: Politisches Engagement lohnt sich doppelt

Regenstauf (ots)

Swiss Luxury Expert: Laopu Gold Is Following--and Rewriting--the Rules of Luxury

BEIJING, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A news report from The Economic Observer: Chinese high-end brand Laopu Gold, through its conscious choice of branding, has become a key benchmark closely observed by overseas luxury researchers. Its robust performance growth, premium store locations, distinctive product portfolio and strong consumer popularity have made it a leading case for observing the value re-evaluation of high-end consumption.

IMD is ranked among the world's top three business schools for executive education. Professor Stéphane JG Girod specializes in the global luxury industry, corporate strategic transformation and organizational innovation.

Professor Girod began to focus on Laopu Gold earlier this year, inspired by an industry report that shocked the European luxury sector: Laopu Gold's sales in the Chinese market in 2025 surpassed the jewellery business of the Richemont Group. This breakthrough made him realize that Chinese brands are redefining industry rules, with Laopu Gold serving as a typical example of challenging Western luxury houses through innovative business models and the integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern design.

Professor Girod conducted dedicated research on Laopu Gold recently. Taking the brand as a core case, he analyzed the unique brand value and development path of emerging Chinese luxury brands, as well as pivotal shifts taking place in high-end consumption.

From Professor Girod's perspective, the most noteworthy strength of Laopu Gold lies in its integration of 100% solid gold (24K), a reinterpretation of Chinese ancestral aesthetics for contemporary lives, traditional craftsmanship, a new retail experience that breaks with standardized Western store design, and customized services, forming a unique luxury value proposition and systematic brand ecosystem.

For a long time, Western luxury brands have dominated China's high-end consumer market. International reputation, iconic logos, symbolic social status and long brand heritage were the core drivers of luxury consumption. Today, consumers are reconnecting with their own culture. They are shifting from pursuing widely recognized mainstream luxury brands to selecting products that align with their personal aesthetics and cultural roots. Modern consumers pay closer attention to material quality, craftsmanship and service standards. These are constants in luxury, and Laopu Gold adheres to these practices. Alongside its approach to retail design and collections, Laopu Gold pays particularly close attention to the authenticity of the value behind high-end pricing.

The considerations related to "value" matter greatly to the brand: many jewellery brands claim to create heirlooms that can be passed down through generations and retain their value over time. This is, by the way, currently driving the success of branded jewellery, which is one of the few categories to keep growing amid the overall global luxury downturn. But thanks to its choice of 24K gold (which creates its own headaches in terms of margin management for the brand), Laopu Gold offers greater long-term value and value-retention potential in product categories where Western brands tend to use 18K gold.

Laopu Gold perfectly embodies this market shift. Industry data shows that in 2025 and from January to June 2026, Laopu Gold consistently ranked first globally among luxury brands in both single-store sales efficiency and floor area efficiency. In the jewellery category, its performance was several times higher than that of other international jewellery brands. It is now the only Chinese brand to have entered the high jewellery segment of the luxury market.

This fundamental shift poses new challenges to international luxury brands. Professor Girod notes that over the past decade or more, many luxury brands achieved growth in the Chinese market through price hikes, expansion and high market exposure. However, these practices have led to brand dilution and a disconnect between pricing and actual product value. For increasingly sophisticated Chinese consumers, Western luxury symbolism is no longer sufficient. They are re-evaluating the essence of high-end consumption, focusing on superior quality, genuine product value, and innovation in cultural expression and service experience.

Interview with Professor Girod: Laopu Gold Is Far More Than Gold

Q: How do you view the ongoing changes in China's luxury market and consumer behaviour?

Professor Girod: Chinese consumers today have a wide range of choices, extending far beyond established Western luxury brands. A new generation of outstanding Chinese brands has emerged with highly innovative retail concepts. These brands revitalize and reshape traditional cultural heritage through modern products. Their store designs are sophisticated, integrating traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary, forward-looking aesthetics.

The Chinese luxury market has become increasingly diverse. Consumers are now more rational about their spending, carefully evaluating whether a purchase is worthwhile and what unique experience it can deliver. This creates enormous opportunities for emerging Chinese luxury brands. From my observations, Laopu Gold has successfully delivered unique value in this emerging market segment.

Sophisticated Chinese consumers are now paying for brand essence and styling rather than merely brand logos. They are no longer willing to pay premium prices blindly, requiring products to deliver authentic and substantial value. The functionality-quality-price equation that Chinese brands offer makes their value proposition very compelling.

Q: Against such market changes, why has Laopu Gold entered your research scope?

Professor Girod: Chinese consumers are increasingly drawn to innovative products that resonate with their cultural identity, and Laopu Gold precisely fulfils this demand. During my field research in China, I found that Laopu Gold operates a complete, mature brand system, featuring innovative retail experiences and differentiated product lines.

The brand boasts exceptional aesthetic standards. It interprets classic Chinese cultural symbols while creating contemporary artistic works for modern audiences. Its highly recognizable store design, modelled after Ming- and Song-style study rooms, delivers an immersive and refined retail experience that resonates deeply with mature consumers. I was struck by the tea ceremony in the

Laopu Gold features a multi-tiered product portfolio, covering daily wearable accessories and high-end artistic goldware. While conventional jewellery is purchased predominantly by women from the middle classes who buy for themselves, artistic goldware—including objects of virtu—attracts a large number of mature high-net-worth individuals. This is a product segment with distinct Chinese cultural characteristics and profound heritage that could resonate well with connoisseurs on international markets because the designs are universally attractive and chic. The brand's unique styling, market positioning and creative capabilities are fully reflected in its jewellery and goldware collections. This has deepened my understanding of China's luxury market and helps explain the brand's immense popularity among local consumers.

Q: How do you define Laopu Gold's high-end positioning? What differentiates it from other jewellery brands?

Professor Girod: Laopu Gold is engaged in long-term brand building that fully complies with core luxury industry principles. Its inherent creativity, profound cultural connections, premium materials and exquisite craftsmanship collectively deliver value that far exceeds the intrinsic value of gold itself. Notably, while some luxury brands are considering introducing less expensive materials, Laopu Gold remains focused on gold, a material of high intrinsic value. This is an important signal.

By adhering strictly to 24K pure gold without compromise or shortcut, but also by shifting from gold sold by the weight to fixed prices Laopu Gold has successfully built consumers' trust in its value proposition based on creativity even more than on the price of the metal. Both consumer excitement and trust are essential.

Q: Do you believe Laopu Gold already possesses some of the characteristics of a luxury brand? What direction might its future development take?

Professor Girod: There is no unified definition of luxury even within the industry. Some define luxury by scarcity, yet scarcity in the luxury sector is often artificially managed. In my definition, luxury represents a commitment to ultra-high quality and creativity, a promise that products will retain their value over time, and a foundation in the beauty of the product. I believe Laopu Gold meets these criteria. If anyone says that Laopu Gold is not a genuine luxury brand, then one could say that there are no luxury brands in China—or even in the world. Laopu Gold is not trying to mimic Western brands or to be a luxury brand anyway. Most of the brands I study in China eschew the label "luxury." They all have studied Western brands, they often admire them, but they all want to invent their own path towards a more "honest luxury" as I call it.

With solid foundations in creative design, refined craftsmanship and service experience, a diversified product portfolio, pricing discipline, and cultural inheritance, Laopu Gold has established important brand pillars that can support its development as a long-term player in the luxury sector rather than a brand focused only on short-term gains.

I study whether traditional Chinese craftsmanship and Eastern aesthetics can evolve into a global language of luxury. What I can already say is that Chinese brands will be able to internationalize because they are not simply concentrating on aesthetics; they are rethinking the business model too.

ZeroRisk raises $10 million to scale merchant cybersecurity platform

Funding will accelerate global expansion, product development and the deployment of ZeroRisk across major payment providers.

ZeroRisk aims to dominate the emerging risk orchestration segment in the payment processing market.

DUBLIN, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ZeroRisk the Irish cybersecurity company helping payment providers manage and reduce cyber risk across their merchant portfolios, has raised $10 million in Series A funding.

Founded in 2023, ZeroRisk gives banks and payment providers a single view of cyber risk across their merchant portfolios. It brings together risk monitoring, compliance, education, guided remediation and protection services in one platform. Merchants receive clear guidance on the risks that matter to their business and the steps they can take to address them.

The round was led by MiddleGame Ventures, with participation from existing investor Elkstone. The investment will support ZeroRisk's expansion globally, further product development and the operational capacity needed to deploy the platform across large merchant portfolios.

ZeroRisk is already working with payment businesses including Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments. The company expects to grow revenue threefold in 2026 as contracted programmes move into deployment and its international customer base grows.

Merchant cyber programs have traditionally focused on annual compliance exercises. The risks facing smaller businesses now extend well beyond compliance and include scams, stolen credentials, website vulnerabilities, attacks on connected devices and the ability to recover when something goes wrong. ZeroRisk also helps payment processors turn their compliance responsibilities into revenue opportunities through the distribution of value-adding services to merchants.

Speaking today, Gary Nolan, co-founder and CEO of ZeroRisk, said: "Payment companies have spent years trying to manage merchant risk through annual compliance exercises. That is no longer enough. Their customers are dealing with scams, credential theft, website vulnerabilities and attacks on devices every day. Our job is to give payment providers visibility across the portfolio and give merchants a clear route to action."

"ZeroRisk has moved from proving the product to deploying it at scale. This investment will allow us to expand the team, deepen the platform and support the payment providers that have chosen to build their next-generation of merchant cyber programmes with us."

The company currently operates in Ireland and the United States, with offices in Dublin (Ireland), Atlanta (USA) and Longford (Ireland).

Patrick Pinschmidt, Co-Managing Partner at MiddleGame Ventures, added: "The ZeroRisk team brings a unique combination of commercial and technical expertise, reinforced by working hand-in-hand with leading payment providers. As former operators in the space, they understand the fundamental pain points firsthand and have built technology that transforms a critical financial services workflow, making it more intuitive and seamless for payment providers and merchants alike. We're thrilled to be partnering with Gary and the team as they build the new standard for this critical function."

Niall McEvoy, Head of Venture at Elkstone, said: "Elkstone first backed ZeroRisk at seed stage when Gary and the team presented their compelling vision on where the merchant cybersecurity and compliance space was heading. The commercial progress in a short period of time has been impressive, and this Series A funding round further validates investor confidence that ZeroRisk can deliver transformational change in the sector globally. We are pleased to deepen our support alongside new investor MiddleGame Ventures."

CARKU Takes Battery Innovation From Factory Floor to Europe at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026

FRANKFURT, Germany, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Automotive aftermarket distributors are looking beyond conventional battery solutions—seeking differentiated products, reliable performance, and flexible manufacturing support to meet evolving market needs and growth opportunities. CARKU presents its integrated approach to battery product development—from battery technology, engineering and protection systems to ODM/OEM manufacturing, production and testing. Beyond individual jump starters, CARKU helps partners turn emerging sodium-ion (Na+) battery technologies into market-ready solutions.

From Battery Technology to Factory-Tested Performance

When a dead battery leaves a vehicle unable to start, drivers need more than power—they need a reliable way to get moving again. CARKU has developed core battery technologies in structural engineering, and intelligent protection, backed by patented innovations such as its reverse-polarity protection alligator clip design. These capabilities form the in-house technology foundation behind its ODM production, enabling CARKU to build jump starters for demanding vehicle conditions.

That reliability starts on the factory floor. From finished-product housing and A-grade cell consistency to jump starter structural design, built-in protection systems and end-of-line testing, each engineering decision aims to reduce failure risks before products reach the market.

Beyond AGM: Two New Paths for Starting Battery Applications

The shift to new battery technologies isn't limited to EVs. As fleet operators demand greater consistency, stronger auxiliary power and lower maintenance, starting batteries for combustion vehicles are evolving too.

For long-haul trucks, the battery now needs to do more than start the engine. CARKU lithium starting batteries are lighter, higher-capacity and built for auxiliary power—delivering extended output during stationary operation without idling the engine.

In colder regions like Northern Europe, AGM batteries struggle with weight, cycle life and cold-temperature performance. CARKU sodium-ion starting batteries are built for durability and cold-climate performance, offering passenger cars, trucks and motorcycles a next-generation alternative to AGM.

Lithium and sodium-ion aren't competing technologies—they're different technologies for different vehicle-use scenarios: lithium for lightweight, high-auxiliary-power demands; sodium-ion for durability and extreme climates. For fleets and distributors, the question is which technology actually matches how vehicles are used.
