Americans used 159.3 trillion megabytes of wireless data in 2025, 20% more than the year before and 60% more than the past two years

WASHINGTON, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Americans used more wireless data in 2025 than in the entire 4G decade, according to CTIA's 2026 Annual Survey. The finding underscores the surging demand being placed on America's wireless networks for everything from AI to wearables, digital streaming services, and more.

"This continued surge in demand reflects the increasingly central role wireless plays in everyday life," said Ajit Pai, CTIA President and CEO. "America's wireless providers are stepping up to the challenge, investing nearly $30 billion last year alone to expand capacity and lay the foundation for future AI-native 6G networks."

For over four decades, CTIA has surveyed U.S. wireless providers, and this year's survey shows continued surging demand for more wireless data. Last year, Americans used a record 159.3 trillion MB of data—20% more than the previous year and a nearly 60% spike over the past two years.

Data demand is expected to grow 4x by 2032, with the growth of AI placing an even greater strain on America's wireless networks. AI is growing 3x faster than traditional wireless traffic and is projected to make up nearly a third of all broadband traffic by 2034.

Additional Findings:

- Wireless Invests Tens of Billions Every Year. Wireless providers spent nearly $30 billion last year to expand capacity and support massive data growth. Over the life of the industry, total wireless investment in the nation's infrastructure now exceeds $763 billion. A third of that—$250 billion—has been spent since 2018, the year 5G launched.

- Americans Increasingly Rely on Wireless to Power Their Lives. The U.S. now supports more than 600 million wireless connections—roughly 1.8 connections for every American. Nearly half (46%) of all devices on networks today are something other than a phone—including consumer wearables for health and wellness, and industrial sensors and robotics to power safety, efficiency, and performance improvements for American companies.

- Wireless Continues to Deliver More for Less. Real prices for typical unlimited wireless plans declined by more than 10% last year, including a 21% decrease in the price per megabyte, while speeds increased 51%.

- More Consumers Flock to 5G Home. For the fourth consecutive year, virtually all net growth in the home broadband market came from fixed wireless offerings. Nearly 16 million Americans subscribe to 5G Home, including more than 3.9 million net new subscribers last year—more than double the number of subscribers cable lost over the same period.

- Building AI-Native 6G Infrastructure. Small cells have grown nearly 120% since 2018 and make up nearly 40% of all wireless cell sites nationwide—helping to support expanded 5G deployment, increased capacity, and improved network performance across the country.

Key Factors Driving the Growth of the Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia Market

- Increasing Prevalence of Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia: Although Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia remains a rare hematological malignancy, the number of diagnosed patients is expected to increase as populations age and disease recognition improves. The predominantly older patient population represents an important factor supporting long-term market demand.

- Growing Disease Awareness and Diagnosis: Increasing awareness of Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia among healthcare professionals is supporting earlier recognition and diagnosis. Improved access to hematological testing and advanced diagnostic techniques is also helping identify previously undiagnosed patients.

- Rising Adoption of Targeted Therapies: The introduction and broader use of targeted treatments, particularly BTKis, have transformed the WM treatment landscape. Their efficacy, oral administration, and more favorable tolerability compared with traditional chemotherapy are driving treatment adoption.

- Advances in Molecular and Genetic Understanding: Greater understanding of molecular alterations, including MYD88 and CXCR4 mutations, is facilitating more precise disease characterization and therapeutic development. These advances are supporting biomarker-driven treatment strategies and the development of novel targeted therapies.

- Robust Pipeline of Novel Targeted Agents: The expanding pipeline of BTK degraders, non-covalent BTK inhibitors, BCL-2 inhibitors, and targeted radiotherapeutic agents is anticipated to broaden the treatment landscape. These novel therapies may help overcome resistance mechanisms and enhance clinical outcomes for patients with relapsed or refractory disease.

Aparna Thakur, Project Manager of Forecasting & Analytics at DelveInsight, said that nemtabrutinib is expected to achieve meaningful uptake following potential approval, particularly in R/R patients who have progressed on covalent BTK inhibitors. Bexobrutideg may establish a differentiated position through its BTK degradation mechanism, which could help overcome resistance-associated mutations and support adoption in heavily pretreated patients.

Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia Market Analysis

- The treatment landscape for Waldenström macroglobulinemia has evolved considerably over the past decade, largely driven by the emergence of Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

- Before the advent of targeted therapies, treatment primarily centered on rituximab-based immunochemotherapy regimens, which were often associated with substantial treatment-related toxicities.

- The approval of ibrutinib (IMBRUVICA) in 2015 represented a major milestone in the management of Waldenström macroglobulinemia, as it became the first therapy specifically approved for the disease and established BTK inhibition as a key component of treatment.

- Subsequently, zanubrutinib has emerged as a strong competitor, supported by favorable efficacy and tolerability outcomes demonstrated in the ASPEN trial. Although IMBRUVICA continues to generate significant global revenue, its sales have declined from previous levels amid increasing competition from next-generation BTKi, particularly zanubrutinib.

- With its expanding adoption across B-cell malignancies globally, zanubrutinib is expected to capture a growing share of the Waldenström macroglobulinemia market over the forecast period.

- The emerging pipeline is also expected to further diversify treatment options for relapsed/refractory (R/R) disease.

- Nemtabrutinib (MK-1026-003) has demonstrated encouraging clinical activity in patients previously treated with covalent BTK inhibitors, potentially positioning it as an important therapeutic option in the R/R setting.

- Bexobrutideg (NX-5948), a next-generation BTK degrader, employs a differentiated mechanism by targeting both wild-type and mutant BTK proteins, potentially addressing acquired resistance to conventional BTK inhibitors.

- Additionally, pending potential FDA approval, iopofosine could offer a meaningful treatment option for patients with R/R disease, particularly given the estimated ~11,500 R/R patients and ~1,000 patients who exhaust available treatment options by the third-line setting in the US.

- Overall, the Waldenström macroglobulinemia market across the 7MM is anticipated to experience steady growth through 2036.

- Market expansion is expected to be supported by rising diagnosis rates, improved patient survival, increasing adoption of targeted therapies, and continued innovation in the treatment of B-cell malignancies.

- These developments are likely to create substantial commercial opportunities for both established therapies and emerging pipeline agents over the forecast period.

Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia Competitive Landscape

Some of the Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia drugs under development include Iopofosine I-131 (Cellectar Biosciences), Nemtabrutinib (MK-1026-003; Merck Sharp & Dohme), Sonrotoclax (BeOne), TT-01488 (TransThera Biosciences), Bexobrutideg (NX-5948; NURIX), SGR-1505 (Schrödinger, Inc.), Lisaftoclax (APG-2575; Ascentage Pharma), Loncastuximab tesirine (Lonca; ADC Therapeutics), and others.

Iopofosine I-131 is Cellectar's lead investigational phospholipid drug conjugate (PDC) radiotherapeutic, developed to selectively deliver iodine-131 to tumor cells while limiting radiation exposure to healthy tissues. The therapy has been evaluated in the completed CLOVER-WaM Phase II pivotal study in patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) Waldenström macroglobulinemia. Iopofosine I-131 has also received multiple regulatory designations in the US and EU for Waldenström macroglobulinemia, including Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) in both regions, as well as Breakthrough Therapy Designation (BTD) and Fast Track Designation (FTD) in the US and PRIME Designation in the EU.

Merck Sharp & Dohme's Nemtabrutinib (MK-1026, formerly ARQ 531) is an investigational oral, non-covalent and reversible Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi) being developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme for the treatment of multiple B-cell malignancies, including relapsed/refractory Waldenström macroglobulinemia.

BeOne's Sonrotoclax is an orally active small-molecule inhibitor of B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL2) and belongs to the BH3 mimetic class. Compared with venetoclax, sonrotoclax demonstrates greater selectivity and enhanced pharmacological potency against BCL2. Its shorter half-life and lack of drug accumulation may also offer greater dosing convenience and improved treatment flexibility for patients.

NURIX's NX-5948 is an orally administered, CNS-penetrating small-molecule degrader targeting Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), currently under investigation for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM).

The anticipated launch of these emerging therapies are poised to transform the Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia market landscape in the coming years. As these cutting-edge therapies continue to mature and gain regulatory approval, they are expected to reshape the Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia market landscape, offering new standards of care and unlocking opportunities for medical innovation and economic growth.

Sponsored by Truist for a third year, the AFP Pinnacle Awards recognize leading treasury and finance groups for innovation, excellence and impact

ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association for Financial Professionals named Bandwidth, Google and ServiceNow as finalists for the AFP 2026 Pinnacle Awards, sponsored by Truist.

The AFP Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in treasury and finance. A panel of treasury and finance professionals selected the finalists based on their forward-looking solutions that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness. Notably, all three finalists developed AI-enabled solutions, highlighting the growing role of AI in helping treasury teams automate workflows and make more informed financial decisions.

Voting is currently open until Sept. 18, 2026, to select the Grand Prize winner. The winner will be announced during AFP 2026, taking place November 8-11 in Las Vegas. Truist will make a $10,000 donation to The Just One Project on behalf of the winner.

"When treasury and finance leaders connect to share bold ideas and solve complex challenges, the entire profession moves forward. The solutions created by Bandwidth, Google and ServiceNow showcase a spirit of innovation and set a higher standard for our global community," said Pat Culkin, President & CEO of AFP.

"Working alongside clients every day, we've seen firsthand how innovation can make treasury and finance simpler, speedier, safer and smarter," said Chris Ward, Truist Head of Enterprise Payments. "That's why we're proud to sponsor the AFP Pinnacle Awards for a third consecutive year and recognize organizations that are turning bold ideas into measurable business results. Congratulations to Bandwidth, Google and ServiceNow for setting a strong example of what's possible when innovation is focused on delivering real value."

About the submissions

Bandwidth replaced a legacy treasury management system that relied on manual data gathering, spreadsheet-based analysis and limited bank connectivity with a custom-built, AI-native treasury platform. Using Atlar's real-time bank connectivity and Claude, the treasury team built its own treasury management system, creating a single view of liquidity across all entities and banking partners while automating cash forecasting, transaction categorization, liquidity analysis, multilateral netting, debt monitoring, covenant tracking and bank fee analysis. The shift from manually collecting and reconciling data across multiple systems to operating on real-time, connected information enabled treasury to spend more time on liquidity management and capital allocation decisions.

Google transformed a highly manual investment process into an automated, AI-enabled workflow built on its existing SWIFT, MT320, banking and ERP infrastructure. Machine-learning models generate daily cash forecasts, calculate investable cash and provide liquidity outlooks, while AI agents continuously collect rates from counterparties, evaluate investment options based on yield, counterparty limits and liquidity requirements, and generate recommendations. An execution agent automates trade placement and ERP entries, reducing reliance on manual bank reconciliation and streamlining investment execution. The result is a more standardized investment process that gives treasury faster visibility into investable cash and market opportunities while minimizing manual effort and delays.

ServiceNow addressed a fundamental data problem that was limiting treasury's ability to scale and take advantage of AI. As the company expanded across more than 50 countries, treasury spent 40 to 60 hours each week manually collecting and reconciling data from disconnected systems, banks and entities. Rather than implementing AI on top of fragmented information, the team first built a centralized treasury data architecture that integrated more than 10 source systems into a single source of truth for cash, investments, forecasts, FX and banking data. It then added real-time dashboards, a treasury chatbot, machine-learning cash forecasting, automated FX hedging across 40+ currency pairs, workflow automation and AI-powered counterparty exposure monitoring. The result was a treasury operation with real-time visibility, automated processes and a connected data foundation that replaced much of the manual data gathering and analysis previously required.

By popular request, Walnut joins Yorktowne's wood species offerings, while additions like new range hoods and storage solutions will add both presence and practicality to the everyday kitchen.

"This introduction brings Yorktowne's Live-in Luxury promise to life through a meaningful expansion of distinctive styles, elevated finishes and thoughtful functionality that help designers create spaces as personal as the people who live in them," said Danielle Mikesell, chief commercial officer of Cabinetworks Group. The introduction also marks the rollout of a new frameless option and the release of a new floating vanity collection as Yorktowne's bath products conveniently integrate into the brand's Historic, Iconic and Frameless lines.

"With each one of these additions, we're not only refining the new position we established for Yorktowne earlier this year, we're also reinforcing the craft and design vision our name has stood for over a century," said Phipps.

Long-term investment reflects bank's continued growth, modernization and commitment to Chicago

CHICAGO, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ABOC, also known as Amalgamated Bank of Chicago, has relocated its corporate headquarters and opened a new full-service branch at 101 N. Wacker Drive in Chicago's Loop neighborhood.

The bank occupies approximately 40,000 square feet of office and retail space, including two floors dedicated to executive offices and operational teams, as well as a new full-service branch on the ground floor at the corner of Wacker Drive and Washington Street.

Founded in 1922, ABOC has grown into a leading commercial bank serving unions, public entities, businesses and individuals nationwide. The relocation marks the latest milestone in the bank's continued evolution, underscoring its relationship-driven approach to banking and long-term investment in Chicago.

"This move represents much more than a change of address," said Nick Weaver, CEO and President of ABOC. "It is a testament to the success, stability and momentum we've built as a bank. We're excited to create a modern, welcoming space that enhances the customer experience, brings our employees together and positions ABOC for continued growth as we serve Chicago and our customers for generations to come."

ABOC is partnering with building ownership to remodel the plaza in front of the Bank, to better serve its customers. When construction is complete, the new branch will feature dedicated banker offices, teller and customer service areas, an ATM, night-deposit capabilities, and an open layout overlooking the renovated 101 N. Wacker building lobby and the bustling Loop business community. Designed to improve accessibility and convenience, the branch offers customers a centrally located downtown destination for both commercial and personal banking needs. Weaver says it is "a premier location to serve our customers and be able to best showcase ABOC's brand."

The headquarters was designed to support collaboration, productivity and evolving workplace technology. The space includes open work areas, private offices, meeting rooms, a boardroom, reception and café spaces, and a dedicated Trust and Investment Center. An employee amenity floor and open lounge provide additional gathering spaces, while natural light and an open floor plan promote communication and teamwork across departments.

"This is also an investment in our people and our culture," Weaver added. "We want our employees to feel valued, supported and at home while creating an environment that encourages high performance and close communication."

Weaver also recognized the business partners and union workers who played a critical role in completing the project. "ABOC wouldn't have been able to do this great project without the expertise and help of a few key business partners, as well as the incredible effort of so many union workers," he added. GARNETT Architects led the design of the new headquarters and branch. Cushman & Wakefield represented ABOC in the real estate search and lease negotiations. Executive Construction Inc. led construction of the new space. ABOC also recognizes the numerous subcontractors and union tradespeople who helped bring the new headquarters and brand to life.

Partnership for Quality Measurement Endorses NKF Measure to Advance Earlier Detection of Chronic Kidney Disease

Partnership for Quality Measurement Endorses NKF Measure to Advance Earlier Detection of Chronic Kidney Disease

Expanded Kidney Health Evaluation measure promotes annual testing for adults with diabetes and/or high blood pressure

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) today announced that the Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM) has endorsed NKF's Rate of Annual Kidney Health Evaluation Among Adults with Diabetes and/or Hypertension quality measure. The endorsement recognizes the measure's potential to improve the identification and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) among millions of adults at increased risk.

The measure tracks the percentage of adults aged 18 to 85 with diabetes and/or high blood pressure who receive two tests during the measurement year: an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) blood test and a urine albumin-creatinine ratio (uACR) urine test. Together, the tests provide a more complete picture of kidney health and help clinicians identify CKD and assess a person's risk of disease progression and cardiovascular complications.

"Too many people with kidney disease do not know they have it until the disease has progressed," said Joseph Vassalotti, MD, Chief Medical Officer at NKF. "PQM's endorsement is an important step toward making complete kidney health evaluation a routine part of care for people at increased risk, so CKD can be identified and managed earlier."

An estimated 37 million adults in the United States have CKD, and about 9 in 10 do not know they have it. Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two most common risk factors for CKD, yet testing rates remain low and vary widely. The endorsed measure is intended to help close this gap by encouraging annual kidney health evaluation for people with either condition.

Clinical guidelines from the American Diabetes Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO), and NKF support kidney health evaluation using both eGFR and uACR for people with diabetes and/or high blood pressure. The measure expands on NKF's Kidney Health Evaluation for People with Diabetes measure, introduced in 2020, by including people with high blood pressure.

"Since 2020, NKF's Kidney Health Evaluation measure for people with diabetes has helped advance more complete, guideline-recommended CKD testing," said Elizabeth Montgomery, National VP, Clinical Innovation and Population Health at NKF. "Expanding the measure to include people with high blood pressure creates an opportunity to identify more people with CKD earlier, when treatment can help protect both kidney and heart health."

The electronic clinical quality measure uses data from certified electronic health record technology, making it practical for clinicians and healthcare organizations to track whether eligible patients receive both recommended tests. It also supports broader national efforts to improve CKD awareness, detection, and management.

CKD is associated with higher risks of cardiovascular disease, hospitalization, death, and rising healthcare costs. In 2023, Medicare spending for CKD and end-stage kidney disease exceeded $196 billion, representing 36% of total Medicare fee-for-service spending. Earlier identification can help connect people to care and treatment that may slow CKD progression and reduce cardiovascular risk.

About Kidney Disease

In the United States, CKD remains an under-recognized public health burden that impacts 1 in 7 adults, and 90 percent of those affected are unaware of their condition. Approximately 1 in 3 U.S. adults are at risk for CKD, but less than 20% are assessed with guideline-recommended testing, eGFR and uACR. Risk factors for kidney disease include diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and family history. People of Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian American, or Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander descent are at increased risk for developing the disease. Black or African American people are about four times as likely as White people to develop kidney failure. Hispanic and Native American people experience kidney failure at approximately double the rate of White people.

About the National Kidney Foundation

The National Kidney Foundation is revolutionizing the fight to save lives by eliminating preventable kidney disease, accelerating innovation for the dignity of the patient experience, and dismantling structural inequities in kidney care, dialysis, and transplantation. Grand reopening celebrates expansive renovation featuring reimagined gathering spaces, elevated dining, and modern Mediterranean design

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, one of Southern California's most distinguished private golf clubs, proudly announces the grand reopening of its newly renovated Clubhouse, marking a multimillion-dollar investment in the member experience and reinforcing its reputation as a premier luxury lifestyle destination in Rancho Santa Fe.

Designed by acclaimed Hatch Design Group and Ohana Architects, the comprehensive Clubhouse renovation thoughtfully blends The Bridges' signature Tuscan architecture with contemporary Mediterranean design elements, creating refined spaces that honor the Club's heritage while introducing a fresh, modern aesthetic for the private enclave's members.

"I have been part of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe since its inception, and it has been incredibly rewarding to witness the Club's evolution over the years," said Development Director at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Ken Ayers. "This renovation represents the latest chapter in that evolution by honoring the character and legacy of The Bridges while creating a more elevated and contemporary setting for our members."

"The Clubhouse renovation reflects our commitment to investing thoughtfully to enhance the long-term value of The Bridges," said Board President of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Brian O'Callaghan. "We took a holistic approach to the project, ensuring that every investment supports the priorities outlined in our strategic plan. With a total investment of $14 million, including approved additions, we are building for the future while delivering meaningful benefits to our members today."

"The strongest measure of our success, and the momentum we're building, is the overwhelmingly positive feedback we're receiving from our members," said COO and Club General Manager of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Jim Miller. "Every design decision was rooted in our commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience while honoring the soul and unique identity that has made The Bridges one of Southern California's most prestigious private clubs."

The redesigned Clubhouse introduces sophisticated gathering spaces, elevated dining experiences, and enhanced amenities that reflect the Club's continued dedication to hospitality, wellness, and luxury living. From the century-old reclaimed white oak floors in the Dining Room and radiant-heated stone floors on the Terrace to the sound-attenuation panels in the Club Bar, every social space was thoughtfully curated to foster comfort and connection while complementing the stunning backdrop of the championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II.

"The Bridges is celebrated not only for its world-renowned golf course, framed by the extraordinary natural beauty of Rancho Santa Fe, but also for its distinctive Tuscan-inspired architecture, which transports members to feel as though they are in a hillside village in Italy," said Lead Interior Designer of Hatch Design Group, Stephanie Brooks. "Our role was to deepen that sense of place through thoughtful design. From the material palette to the spatial flow, every detail was carefully considered to reinforce the club's unique identity, creating spaces that feel both authentic and welcoming while honoring the architectural vision that has always set The Bridges apart."

The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, located in North County San Diego, is known for its championship golf course, luxury estates, world-class amenities, and vibrant social calendar. The Clubhouse serves as the heart of the community.

"Our vision for The Bridges was to create spaces that feel as inviting and comfortable outdoors as they do indoors," said Principal of Ohana Architects, Rocky Arnold. "By removing visual barriers and integrating glass walls, we were able to open up the sweeping views and create a seamless connection between the Clubhouse and the surrounding landscape. The expanded Living Room Terrace, along with fireplaces and nooks for gathering, has become a true extension of the Clubhouse, offering members a year-round destination for dining, socializing, and private events."

Anchoring the redesigned social spaces is a fully renovated commercial kitchen, thoughtfully reimagined to support an elevated culinary program and reflect the Club's commitment to world-class hospitality. The upgraded kitchen serves as home base for Executive Chef Alex Bloom's culinary vision, bringing The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe's onsite farm to the heart of his farm-to-table menu, with ingredients harvested at the peak of their flavor and fragrance.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Bloom has honed his craft in some of the world's most celebrated Michelin-starred kitchens, including Restaurant Daniel and Eleven Madison Park. At The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, he has created a sophisticated and seasonal dining experience, pairing refined French technique with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Alongside Level 2 Sommelier Brian Green, Chef Bloom complements each dish with a world-class wine program, further enhancing The Bridges' distinctive member experience.

With the completion of the renovation, The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe has introduced a redesigned Clubhouse centered on elevated dining, expanded indoor-outdoor gathering spaces, contemporary Mediterranean interiors, and enhanced member amenities, all within its 550-acre private community in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
