Camden, N.J. – September 24, 2026 -- Subaru of America has announced the 2027 Impreza will start at $24,595 MSRP, a $2,000 drop from the outgoing model's entry price when it arrives at retailers late this year.
The automaker says the new pricing makes the Impreza the most affordable all-wheel-drive compact vehicle on sale in the U.S.
The base trim gets a lower price without losing key features
The 2027 base model comes standard with a 2.5-liter, 180-horsepower SUBARU BOXER engine, dark gray 17-inch alloy wheels, EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, and Keyless Access with Push-Button Start. It also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, dual 7.0-inch touchscreens, dual-zone automatic climate control, and USB-A and USB-C charging ports.
EyeSight now includes Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering.
The RS trim holds its price while adding new tech
The Impreza RS carries over at $29,495 MSRP, unchanged from the previous model year. It adds 18-inch alloy wheels, black RS cloth upholstery, fog lights, and a roof spoiler, plus an 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration and an upgraded wireless charger.
MySubaru Connected Companion services come standard for five years, covering SOS Emergency alerts and Advanced Collision Notification. A Companion+ upgrade, sold on 3- or 5-year plans, adds remote engine start, remote lock/unlock, and curfew and boundary alerts.
An all-weather package with heated seats, mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icer is now standard on the RS, along with Blind-Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Emergency Lane Keep Assist. Buyers can add a $2,070 package with a Harman Kardon 10-speaker sound system, power moonroof, and 10-way power-adjustable front seat.
Both trims share the same engine and cargo capacity
Both trims pair the BOXER engine with a Lineartronic CVT, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, steering wheel paddle shifters with an 8-speed manual mode, and dual-mode SI-Drive. The Impreza offers 20.4 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seats up and 56.0 cubic feet with them folded.
New for 2027, Ignition Red joins the exterior color lineup, while Citron Yellow Pearl premium paint costs an extra $395. The vehicle is assembled in Gunma, Japan.
