Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- Midea has placed SMART MASTER, its AI-driven smart home ecosystem, at the center of its IFA 2026 presentation in Berlin, built around this year's theme of "Simply Ideal."

The AI Agent understands 140 languages and responds in 0.4 seconds

At the core of SMART MASTER is an AI Agent capable of recognizing voice commands from up to 8 meters away. It supports 140 languages and delivers responses in 0.4 seconds, with voice entry points built into key appliances and additional access through car systems and other connected devices.

Four specialized agents manage comfort, health, energy, and service

The AI Agent coordinates different aspects of daily life through dedicated sub-agents. A Comfort Agent adjusts air conditioning and humidifiers and manages laundry when users arrive home. A Health Agent recommends meals based on refrigerator contents and coordinates kitchen appliances at dinner time. An Efficiency Agent helps households manage energy consumption, while a Service Agent diagnoses appliance issues and offers maintenance guidance, including real-time video assistance.

A live robot demo showcases dishware handling and popcorn preparation

Midea also demonstrated a robot live at its IFA booth, showing it handling dishware, preparing popcorn, and interacting with visitors. Built on the company's EAGLES system architecture with four multimodal foundation models, the robot is designed to assist with laundry, cooking, and cleaning tasks, as well as provide companionship and smart control across the home.
