BETHESDA, Md. -- August 31, 2026 -- Marriott Bonvoy launched 37 player-curated city guides on August 31, covering every U.S. and international location hosting an NFL game this season, from Mexico City to London to Melbourne. The guides pair current and former NFL players with the cities tied to their careers, giving traveling fans a set of insider recommendations to use when planning game-day trips.
Cooper Kupp maps Seattle while Jordan Mailata covers Philadelphia
The first batch of guides includes Cooper Kupp sharing his Seattle picks, Jordan Mailata covering Philadelphia, Jerry Rice guiding fans through Mexico City, Mark Ingram II highlighting Rio de Janeiro, and Todd Gurley pointing out spots in Melbourne. Fred Warner's take on San Francisco and Kyle Hamilton's guide to Baltimore are set to follow, with additional players and cities added throughout the season.
Artist Jeff Cole illustrates each guide by hand
Social media artist Jeff Cole designed the visual maps, which spotlight local traditions, favorite restaurants and lesser-known spots tied to each player's connection to that city. The guides sit inside a broader NFL Travel Hub built by Marriott Bonvoy for the season.
Marriott ties points redemption directly to game-day travel
Marriott Bonvoy Moments, the company's points-redemption platform, will offer packages built around the guides, bundling hotel stays, game tickets and local experiences in select host markets. A 10-episode content series will follow select players back to their home cities, expanding on the guides with video.
One winner gets to sleep inside SoFi Stadium before the Super Bowl
The brand is bringing back its Super Bowl Sleepover Suite sweepstakes, where one winner spends the night before the Super Bowl in a suite built inside SoFi Stadium. Entries close December 15, 2026, and the promotion requires no purchase, though Canadian residents face a math skill-test requirement under contest rules.
New ad campaign targets fans who travel far from home to watch their team
Alongside the guides, Marriott Bonvoy debuted an ad campaign called "Long-Distance NFL Relationships," aimed at fans who follow teams from cities where they no longer live. The campaign leans on Marriott's claim of having hotels located near nearly every NFL stadium, positioning the brand as the lodging option for fans chasing games outside their home market.
Peggy Roe, Marriott International's Chief Customer Officer, said the company wants fans who travel long distances for games to experience host cities the way the players who once lived there do.
