NOTICE OF CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT

A court authorized this Notice. Please do not contact the Court. Your legal rights are affected whether you act or don't act. Read this Notice carefully.

$59,795,000 in settlements have been reached between the Plaintiffs and certain settling defendants in a Class Action lawsuit relating to alleged release incidents that occurred at the Limetree Bay Refinery from February to May 2021. These settlements resolve claims brought against Defendants ArcLight, Freepoint, EIG, LBV, LBE, and additional Contractor Defendants alleging that Settlement Class Members suffered harm as a result of the release incidents. The settling defendants vigorously deny that they violated any law but agreed to the settlements to avoid the expenses associated with continuing the Litigation. Litigation continues against the remaining Defendants. The settlements entitle Settlement Class Members that suffered harm to compensation, and otherwise affect Settlement Class Members' Legal Rights. This is just a summary of the settlements and how they could affect Settlement Class Members' rights. Documents related to the settlements and the Litigation, including the Claim Form necessary to make a claim for a payment from the settlements, are available at www.LimetreeBaySettlement.com.

You may be a "Settlement Class Member" if you owned or rented property in the Affected Geographic Area on or after February 3, 2021 or you resided in, worked in, owned or operated a business in, or were present in the Affected Geographic Area during the time period from

February 3, 2021 to May 26, 2021. A Settlement Map of the Affected Geographic Area is located on the Settlement Website, www.LimetreeBaySettlement.com.

Settlement terms. Under the settlements, in exchange for a release of the claims against them, the settling defendants have agreed to create a Gross Settlement fund of $59,795,000 for payments to eligible Settlement Class Members who submit Claim Forms and to pay any attorneys' fees and expenses, a service award to the Class Representatives, and notice and administration costs. Payments will be calculated using a pro rata point system encompassing property damage, nuisance, trespass, economic losses, cistern related physical impact, physical and emotional health manifestations, and non-reimbursed out-of-pocket expenses incurred that arose from the Limetree Bay Refinery release incidents.

How do I receive payment? To receive a payment, you must file a Claim Form with all requested information and documentation to the Settlement Administrator by

November 3, 2026. File your Claim online at www.LimetreeBaySettlement.com. You may also download a Claim Form at the website and file by mail.

Who Represents Me? The Court has appointed lawyers from Berger Montague PC, Miller Thibodeaux Dysart Veith & Paschal, LLC, and Burns Charest LLP to serve as Co-Lead Class Counsel in the Litigation, and Lee J. Rohn & Associates LLC as Liaison Counsel. They will petition the Court to be paid legal fees and reasonable expenses from the Settlement fund. You may hire your own lawyer at your expense if you so choose (but do not have to).

Do I have any other options? If you wish to exclude yourself from the settlements, you may opt out of the settlements by mailing a written notice to the Settlement Administrator, postmarked by October 27, 2026. If you opt out of the settlements, then you cannot receive a settlement payment, but you will not be bound by the settlements. If you do not opt out, then you may object to the settlements, and you or your lawyer can appear before the Court. Your written objection must be submitted to the Settlement Administrator, postmarked by October 27, 2026. Specific instructions on how to opt out or object to the settlements are available at www.LimetreeBaySettlement.com. The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on December 14, 2026, to consider whether to approve the settlements, Class Counsel's attorneys' fees and costs, Service Awards, and address any objections. - First two patients dosed in the EXACT study

- Topline data from the initial 16-week placebo-controlled portion of the study expected mid-2027; final readout expected by the end of 2027

ARLINGTON, Mass., Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Eloxx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ELOX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing exaluren for the treatment of rare kidney diseases, today announced that the first two patients have been dosed in the EXACT Study, a Phase 2b clinical trial evaluating exaluren in patients with nonsense mutation Alport syndrome (NMAS).

"Dosing the first patients in the EXACT Study is an important milestone for Eloxx and, more importantly, for the Alport syndrome community, where no FDA-approved therapy currently addresses the underlying genetic cause of disease," said Sumit Aggarwal, President and Chief Executive Officer of Eloxx. "This trial reflects our continued commitment to patients with nonsense mutation Alport syndrome, and we look forward to advancing exaluren through this Phase 2b study with topline data expected in mid-2027."

"Dosing the first patients in the EXACT Study is a significant step for people living with nonsense mutation Alport syndrome, a disease with a clear genetic cause but no approved treatment that addresses it directly," said Professor Daniel Gale, Professor of Nephrology at University College London and Consultant Nephrologist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. "Patients with this form of Alport syndrome can progress to kidney failure while still in their twenties, so there is real urgency behind bringing genetically targeted therapies like exaluren into clinical testing. Advancing this trial is an important step forward for a patient population that has been underserved for too long."

About the EXACT Study

The EXACT study is a randomized, placebo-controlled, delayed start, global Phase 2b clinical trial designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of exaluren in patients with NMAS caused by nonsense mutations in COL4A3, COL4A4, or COL4A5 in 24 patients. The trial's initial portion is placebo-controlled over 16 weeks with a primary efficacy endpoint for non-U.S. pediatric patients and all adult patients is to evaluate the effect of exaluren on structural changes in podocyte FPE as measured by change in FSD in kidney biopsiesTopline data from this portion is expected mid-2027 and a final readout at 32 weeks is expected by the end of 2027.

About Nonsense Mutation Alport Syndrome (NMAS)

Nonsense mutation Alport syndrome is a rare, inherited kidney disease caused by nonsense mutations in the COL4A3, COL4A4, or COL4A5 genes, which prevent normal production of type IV collagen, a key structural protein of the kidney's filtration barrier. Approximately 7% of Alport syndrome patients carry these nonsense mutations, which are associated with a more severe prognosis than missense mutations and a mean age of kidney failure of approximately 20 years. The disease is characterized by progressive kidney damage, including podocyte injury, hematuria, proteinuria, and kidney failure. There is currently no FDA-approved therapy that addresses the underlying genetic cause of NMAS.

About Exaluren

Exaluren is Eloxx's investigational, small-molecule ribosomal modulator designed to promote readthrough of premature stop codons caused by nonsense mutations, enabling production of full-length, functional protein. Exaluren is being developed for the treatment of rare kidney diseases, including nonsense mutation Alport syndrome, for which it is being evaluated in the Phase 2b EXACT Study, and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), for which a Phase 2 clinical trial is planned. The FDA and European Commission have granted orphan drug designation to exaluren for the treatment of Alport syndrome, and the European Commission has granted orphan medicinal product designation to exaluren for the treatment of ADPKD.

About Eloxx Pharmaceuticals

Eloxx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ELOX) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel, small-molecule product candidates designed to modulate the ribosome and promote readthrough of premature stop codons induced by nonsense mutations to enable the production of full-length proteins. Eloxx's lead product candidate, exaluren, is being developed for the treatment of rare kidney diseases, including nonsense mutation Alport syndrome and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Eloxx has also exclusively licensed its product candidate, ZKN-013, to Almirall, S.A., which is developing it for the treatment of rare dermatological diseases associated with nonsense mutations.

Volunteer Advocates from 14 States Head to the Nation's Capital to Fight for Suicide Prevention
Image File
Original HTML

WASHINGTON, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Suicide prevention Volunteer Advocates with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), a leading suicide prevention organization, are making strides towards advancing lifesaving legislation and meeting with Congress members and their staff for AFSP's Capitol Hill Fly-In Event from September 16-18. Last month, Congress passed the Youth Poisoning Protection Act (H.R. 1442/S. 289), a bill endorsed by AFSP and its Volunteer Advocates that reduces access to lethal means, which is now awaiting the President's signature. While this legislation is important in the fight against suicide, advocacy is needed in many other critical areas.

Sponsored by the AFSP Illinois chapter for the second year, and held during National Suicide Prevention Month, this year's Fly-In event will convene 17 Volunteer Advocates from 14 states who will share their stories of loss and lived experience while urging members of Congress to support the following:

Funding Priorities

- Robust funding for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline ($549.6M)

- Increased investment in CDC's Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program ($38M)

- Strong support for the National Institute of Mental Health ($2.548B)

Legislative Priorities

- Barriers to Suicide Act (H.R. 3505) and suicide-specific barriers language in the Surface Transportation Reauthorization package

- Saving Our Veterans Lives Act (H.R.1987/S. 926)

Volunteer Advocates represent 14 states, six of which received funding through the CDC's Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program (CSP), which funds programs to implement and evaluate a comprehensive public health approach to suicide prevention, with attention to populations that have high or increasing rates of suicide. See the latest 2024 CDC WISQARS data for state suicide rates. The following states are CSP recipients:

- Connecticut (Suicide rate: 10% increase 2023-2024): Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board

- Illinois (Suicide rate: 8% decrease 2023-2024): Illinois Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program

- Michigan (Suicide rate: 8% decrease 2023-2024): Michigan Department of Health and Human Services

- Nebraska (Suicide rate: 3% increase 2023-2024): University of Nebraska Public Policy Center in partnership with Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services – Injury Prevention Program

- Texas (Suicide rate: 0% change 2023 -2024): San Antonio University Health System

- Wisconsin (Suicide rate: 1% decrease 2023-2024): Wisconsin Department of Health Services – Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program

Through increased investment in CSP, more states can address their high or increasing rates of suicide by identifying gaps in existing suicide prevention programs and implementing and evaluating complementary strategies.

Volunteer Advocates from the following states will also be in attendance:

- Alaska (Suicide rate: 6% increase 2023-2024)

- Arizona (Suicide rate: 2% decrease 2023-2024)

- Kansas (Suicide rate: 8% decrease 2023-2024)

- Mississippi (Suicide rate: 3% decrease 2023-2024)

- Missouri (Suicide rate: 1% decrease 2023-2024)

- Montana (Suicide rate: 1% increase 2023-2024)

- Washington (Suicide rate: 8% decrease 2023-2024)

- West Virginia (Suicide rate: 11% decrease 2023-2024)

"The Capitol Hill Fly-In brings the power of personal stories directly to the policymaking process," said Laurel Stine, AFSP EVP and Chief Policy and Advocacy Officer. "Volunteer Advocates come to Washington, D.C. prepared to share their stories, meet with members of Congress and their staff, and to make the case for evidence-based policies and sustained federal investments that can save lives. Their passion and advocacy help turn those conversations into meaningful policy change and underscore why suicide prevention must be a national priority."

While this event is by invitation only, interested advocates can still participate in AFSP's Advocacy Actions Days kicking off in January 2027 at state capitals across the country and the Advocacy Forum in Washington, D.C. in early summer 2027, besides taking action year-round. Visit AFSP's Action Center to get involved.

As of late July, 34 bills supported at AFSP's 2026 Advocacy Action Days have been enacted. Additionally, AFSP's 2026 Advocacy Forum bills have received 37 new cosponsors.

"Illinois is fortunate to have members of Congress who consistently support AFSP's efforts to prevent suicide and promote mental health," said Angela Cummings, AFSP Illinois chapter executive director. "Our chapter's donors have prioritized these efforts and have enabled our chapter to sponsor this Legislative Fly-In for other state advocates."

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have experienced a loss. AFSP creates a culture that's smart about mental health through public education and community programs, develops suicide prevention through research and advocacy, and provides support for those affected by suicide. Led by CEO Robert Gebbia and headquartered in New York, with its Policy and Advocacy Office in Washington, D.C., AFSP has local chapters in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, with programs and events nationwide. Learn more about AFSP in its latest Annual Report and join the conversation on suicide prevention by following AFSP on Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and The Jed Foundation (JED) intend to merge as equals to form AFSP/JED, the nation's largest nonprofit dedicated to preventing suicide across the lifespan, and bringing hope to those affected by suicide loss or risk. The AFSP/JED mission would reflect a commitment to bring together AFSP's research, advocacy, chapter network, and loss-support expertise with JED's comprehensive approach to suicide prevention and evidence-informed youth mental health programs, creating greater scale, reach, and impact at a time of urgent national need. "Mr. Wine of Texas" Bob Landon Explains Barrel Aging and Oak Influence for HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

MCKINNEY, Texas, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Why do two wines made from the same grape taste so different after time in oak? A HelloNation article explores how barrel aging shapes flavor, aroma, structure, and longevity in both red and white wines. The feature shows how winemakers use oak barrels as a precise tool, balancing the influence of wood and time to bring harmony and depth to every bottle.

The article opens by describing barrel aging as one of the most defining steps in winemaking. Oak interacts with wine in ways that stainless steel cannot, introducing flavors, tannins, and micro-oxygenation that guide the wine's development. Winery Expert Bob Landon of Landon Winery explains that choices about oak barrels—whether French or American, new or used—affect everything from aroma to long-term stability. Each decision becomes part of the winemaker's signature.

The HelloNation piece outlines how French and American oak differ in both grain and expression. French oak, with its fine grain, tends to add subtle spice and delicate tannins. Its influence supports the wine rather than dominating it. This makes French oak ideal when the goal is to preserve fruit character and add quiet complexity. American oak, by contrast, carries a looser grain that delivers stronger flavor. Its notes of vanilla, coconut, and warm baking spice pair well with bold wines that can hold their own against pronounced oak character.

Barrel aging relies on timing and balance. New barrels provide the most direct impact because their wood still holds aromatic compounds that infuse into the wine. These barrels strengthen the structure through added tannins and texture. Used barrels contribute less flavor but continue to allow gentle oxygen exchange. This slow exposure helps soften sharp edges, letting the wine's elements integrate over time. The HelloNation article notes that winemakers often mix new and used barrels to balance richness with restraint.

The process of barrel aging also changes mouthfeel. As tannins integrate, the wine grows smoother and more cohesive. Reds often gain darker fruit tone, firmer backbone, and deeper color. Whites can develop a rounder body while keeping brightness. For example, Chardonnay aged in oak may reveal hints of toasted nuts and soft spice, yet these flavors work only when balanced by natural acidity. Landon explains that successful use of oak means the grape still leads the profile, with the barrel acting as a frame rather than a filter.

Time inside the barrel plays a crucial role in determining a wine's longevity. Wines that gain structure from oak typically age better in the bottle because integrated tannins slow oxidation. However, the HelloNation article reminds readers that not all wines require extended time in oak. Some varietals show best with minimal aging, while others benefit from several months or years of careful development. The winemaker studies each grape's natural character and decides how much oak will help it evolve instead of overwhelm it.

The article emphasizes that barrel aging is not just about flavor—it also builds the wine's internal architecture. The interaction between oak and wine strengthens body, refines texture, and knits aroma into a cohesive whole. Tannins from the wood combine with those from the grape, forming a structure that can support longevity long after bottling. Landon notes that this structure helps explain why a well-aged red can retain freshness and complexity over time.

Climate influences barrel decisions as well. In warmer regions, wines naturally show riper fruit and higher alcohol. Too much oak can exaggerate those traits, making the wine feel heavy. Cooler climates, with sharper acidity, can handle longer or deeper oak treatment without losing balance. The HelloNation article explains that Texas winemakers, including those in McKinney, often adjust barrel aging lengths to fit their growing conditions, ensuring each bottle reflects its region.

The type of oak and the length of aging also determine how a wine's aroma unfolds. French oak brings refined spice and floral notes that merge gently with fruit, while American oak can add sweeter aromas that feel round and inviting. The difference between these barrels gives winemakers room to tailor each vintage. Mixing them allows for complexity that combines subtlety and richness in one glass.

For consumers, understanding barrel aging helps explain why one Chardonnay tastes creamy and nutty while another feels bright and lean. It also clarifies why two Cabernet Sauvignons of the same vintage can express such different personalities. Oak barrels shape texture, tannins, and aroma gradually, turning the process of aging into an art of patience. Recognizing these influences helps drinkers appreciate both immediate flavor and the potential for longevity in a well-crafted wine.

The HelloNation article closes by noting that barrel aging reflects a dialogue between nature and technique. The oak offers structure, and the winemaker interprets how much of that structure each grape can carry. Landon's perspective shows that in skilled hands, barrel aging enhances rather than alters. It deepens aroma, supports balance, and gives wine a pathway toward longevity without obscuring its roots in vineyard and terroir.

Barrel Aging Wines: How Oak Influences Flavor and Longevity features insights from Bob Landon of Landon Winery, Winery Expert of McKinney, TX, in HelloNation.

FREDERICK, Md., Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- McClintock Distilling Co. and Savage Soaps are proud to announce their collaboration in making a natural handmade soap called "FORAGER".

"During a past event at McClintock Distilling to acknowledge the Top 50 Frederick Manufacturers, I met Braeden and he told me he was interested in creating a soap using their leftover gin botanicals. Braeden thought it would be a great idea to be able to repurpose the leftover botanicals instead of throwing them away and I wholeheartedly agreed. I went to work on blending essential oils that complemented the botanical mixture and then made a small soap batch of "FORAGER" and it turned out great!" said Misti Morningstar, owner of Savage Soaps.

"Working with local farmers, communities and businesses are a cornerstone of our mission at McClintock and this project is a great way to highlight the spirit of community in Downtown Frederick. This partnership is a great way to continue to increase the sustainability and environmental stewardship of McClintock and Savage Soaps and we love working with like-minded people like Misti," said Braeden Bumpers, Co-founder, McClintock Distilling Company.

Misti stated, "I'm really grateful for the opportunity to work together with Braeden and other local businesses and I want to thank Jodie Bollinger, of The Frederick County Office of Economic Development and Donna Goff, of The City of Frederick Gov., who have constantly supported our small business success."

McClintock Distilling Co., a Frederick-based Distilling Co. produces spirits and is the first certified organic distillery in Maryland. The award-winning distillery proudly makes everything in-house from scratch. The innovative spirit of the distillery's namesake, McClintock Young, a renowned local inventor during the 1800s, serves as an inspiration to the team. Young improved everyday tasks while maintaining quality, which is what the McClintock team strives to do. McClintock Distilling Company also operates the "Back Bar" next to their production facility where they showcase their spirits in unique cocktails.

Savage Soaps, a Downtown Frederick-based small business, handcrafts small-batch natural handmade olive oil soaps, salt scrubs, body butters, body sprays, and facial serums. The company blends high-quality plant-based ingredients with a commitment to sustainability and individuality. Each soap batch is carefully crafted to ensure that it not only cleanses the skin but nourishes and revitalizes it with natural skin-loving elements. They pride themselves on using non-toxic cruelty-free ingredients, sourcing locally when possible, to create products that are as ecoconsciousas they are effective. The products are also dermatologist recommended. The brand's approach to soap-making involves a variety of specialty products designed for all skin types, including options for sensitive or dry skin. Savage Soaps offers a range of uniquely formulated bars that stand out for their bold scents and luxurious textures.

"We hope to inspire other businesses to work together toward solutions that will make our planet a better, more sustainable place," said Morningstar.

"Mark Owen" Is Done Hiding: The Navy SEAL Who Wrote the Bin Laden Raid Account Breaks 14 Years of Silence -- Under His Real Name

NEW YORK, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- For fourteen years, the man who gave the world the first inside account of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden has been a ghost — face disguised, voice altered, name changed. Millions knew him only as "Mark Owen." That ends now. With No Easy Way: A Navy SEAL's Journey of Faith, two-time New York Times bestselling author Matt Bissonnette publishes under his own name for the first time — and is ready to sit for interviews as himself.

From bestseller to defendant. In 2012, writing as Mark Owen, Bissonnette delivered No Easy Day, the firsthand account of the 2011 Abbottabad raid, an instant #1 New York Times bestseller. He followed it with No Hero (2014), a #3 bestseller. Fame brought a target: years of DOJ civil litigation and a roughly $6 million settlement.

No Easy Way tells what happened inside that silence — the legal battle, the cost to his family, the teammates from thirteen combat deployments, and the decision to finally step out from behind a pen name. At its center is what carried him through: family, friends, fun and faith.

The first interview of its kind. After more than a decade off camera, Bissonnette is now available to select outlets and podcasts to discuss the mission, the lawsuit that nearly erased him, and his journey of faith. He brings rare range — national security, SEAL Team Six, military ethics, high-stakes litigation, and personal redemption — and also executive produced CBS's SEAL Team.

Peer-Reviewed Study Confirms CADScor System Can Diagnose Heart Failure With Far Fewer False Positives Than Standard Blood Test

Aalborg University-led research, published in PLOS Digital Health, found the CADScor System's acoustic sensing platform identified heart failure with diagnostic accuracy comparable to a leading blood test, and with significantly fewer false positives

OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Acarix AB (publ) today announced the publication of a peer-reviewed study in PLOS Digital Health showing that the seismocardiography (SCG) technology at the heart of its CE-marked, FDA-cleared CADScor®System can also detect heart failure (HF), a condition distinct from the coronary artery disease (CAD) the device is currently indicated for.

Heart failure affects millions of people worldwide and is a leading cause of hospitalization, yet it can be difficult to diagnose quickly. Guideline-recommended tools such as echocardiography and NT-proBNP blood testing are effective but come with real-world limitations, including long imaging wait times, operator-dependent results, and blood biomarkers that can be elevated for reasons unrelated to the heart. The study explored whether SCG, which uses a small accelerometer to capture the chest's vibrations from each heartbeat, could help close that gap.

"Heart failure and coronary artery disease are the two biggest reasons patients end up in front of a cardiologist, and this new research opens up a whole new frontier for our CADScor System," said Aamir Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer of Acarix. "We built CADScor to give clinicians a fast, accurate, first-line tool for cardiac triage, and these results show we can bring that same value to heart failure, one of the most common and costly diagnoses in cardiology. That is a significant expansion of what CADScor can do for patients and for our business."

Researchers enrolled 218 patients: 198 referred by their general practitioners for suspected heart failure, plus an additional 20 patients with previously confirmed HFrEF enrolled separately to strengthen testing of the algorithm. Using machine learning, the team developed two SCG-based algorithms: an "AnyHF-score" to flag heart failure of any type, and an "HFrEF-score" to specifically identify heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), the most severe form of the condition.

The study found that:

- The AnyHF-score detected heart failure of any type with 90.9% sensitivity and an 87.5% negative predictive value, correctly flagging the large majority of patients who did have the condition.

- The HFrEF-score performed comparably to NT-proBNP, the current standard blood test, in identifying reduced heart function, with similar diagnostic accuracy (92.9% vs. 94.7% AUC) and sensitivity, but with significantly higher specificity (92% vs. 68.8%, p0.001) and a more than doubled positive predictive value (57.7% vs. 27.1%, p=0.007), meaning far fewer false alarms.

- The SCG-based scores identified 71 of 139 patients (51%) referred for suspected heart failure but ultimately found not to have the condition as "minimal risk," pointing to a potential role for SCG in helping clinicians reduce unnecessary echocardiogram referrals.

The authors describe the results as exploratory, noting that the study was conducted in a relatively small population at two centers and that the algorithms will require external validation in larger, independent cohorts before broader clinical use. The HF algorithm is investigational and has been built into the mechanics of Acarix's Gen 2 device, but it is not yet approved by the FDA. Acarix will need to submit the HF algorithm for FDA approval, a process that will likely require a larger validation trial than the current feasibility study.

The research titled, "A feasibility study evaluating seismocardiography for the detection of heart failure," was authored by researchers at Aalborg University Hospital, Aarhus University Hospital and Odense University Hospital in Denmark, and funded by Acarix. It is available at: journals.plos.org/digitalhealth.

Vision Marine Technologies Invited to Suntex Marinas National Conference Following Lake Berryessa Electric Boating Activation
Image File
Original HTML

Company to build on Lake Berryessa Electric Boat Festival activation and discuss marina electrification, charging infrastructure and the broader electric boating experience.

BOISBRIAND, QC, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vision Marine Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: VMAR) ("Vision Marine" or the "Company"), a marine technology and recreational boating company combining proprietary high-voltage electric propulsion technology with vertically connected retail and service operations, today announced that it has been invited to participate in the upcoming Suntex Marinas National Conference in Texas.

The invitation follows Vision Marine's participation as Title Sponsor of the Lake Berryessa Electric Boat Festival in June 2026 at Pleasure Cove Marina in Napa, California, a Suntex Marinas property.

During the two-day event, Vision Marine completed approximately 60 on-water demonstration rides across three electric boats: the STERK 31E powered by dual E-Motion™ 180E propulsion systems, the SPECTR 26 and the Fantail 217.

The activation brought consumers, marina operators and marine-industry participants directly onto the water and provided a real-world marina setting in which multiple electric vessel configurations could be demonstrated and experienced.

For Vision Marine, Lake Berryessa reinforced a central element of its approach to electric boating: propulsion technology is one part of a broader experience that also includes charging infrastructure, vessel access, service capabilities, marina operations and customer education.

From Lake Berryessa to a Broader Marina Discussion

Vision Marine intends to use its participation at the Suntex National Conference, taking place September 22 through 25, to share observations from the Lake Berryessa activation and participate in broader discussions regarding electric boating within marina environments.

"Lake Berryessa gave us an opportunity to bring several parts of the electric boating experience together in one location," said Maxime Poudrier, Chief Operating Officer of Vision Marine. "We operated multiple electric boats, put people directly on the water and engaged with marina operators, customers and industry participants in a real boating environment. The Suntex National Conference gives us an opportunity to bring those observations into a broader discussion around how boats, propulsion, charging, service and the marina experience can work together."

Vision Marine expects discussions at the conference may include:

- Electric boat demonstration and experience programs;

- Marina-based charging infrastructure;

- Electric rental and recreational fleets;

- Customer education and on-water activation;

- Service and technician readiness;

- Data collection from real-world electric vessel usage; and

- Potential pilot concepts at marina locations.

The Lake Berryessa event brought together marina operators, utilities, policymakers, charging infrastructure providers, vessel manufacturers, investors and other marine-industry participants, providing a practical setting for discussions around the requirements and operating considerations associated with electric boating.

The Company believes these discussions can provide industry participants with practical insight into factors such as charging requirements, vessel utilization, customer interaction and service needs as electric boating technologies continue to develop.

The Marina as a Gateway to Electric Boating

Vision Marine believes marinas can play an important role in the evolution of recreational marine electrification.

Recreational boating activity is naturally concentrated around marinas, docks and waterfront destinations. This creates an environment where vessels, charging infrastructure, demonstrations, rentals, service and customer interaction can potentially be brought together within a common location.

Vision Marine's operating model provides experience across several components of that environment.

The Company's E-Motion™ 180E high-voltage electric propulsion platform provides marine-specific propulsion technology, while its vessel integration experience and Nautical Ventures operations provide direct exposure to boat retail, service and customer interaction.

This vertically connected structure links propulsion technology with vessel integration, market access and marine service capabilities, allowing Vision Marine to consider electric boating within the broader environment in which vessels are integrated, sold, operated, charged, serviced and experienced by customers.

Rather than viewing electrification solely as a change in propulsion, Vision Marine believes the broader opportunity is to improve how the different components of the boating experience work together.

Continuing the Discussion

Vision Marine intends to use the Suntex National Conference as a forum to exchange observations from Lake Berryessa and participate in discussions around potential applications for electric boating within marina environments.

The Company views its participation in the conference as an opportunity to share practical on-water experience and contribute to the broader industry dialogue around electric propulsion, charging infrastructure, service and customer experience.

Vision Marine continues to engage with marina operators, boat manufacturers, technology providers and infrastructure participants as it evaluates opportunities surrounding the evolving recreational boating experience.

The conference invitation does not itself constitute a commercial agreement between Vision Marine and Suntex Marinas. Any material commercial arrangement resulting from future discussions would be announced separately if and when appropriate.

About Vision Marine Technologies Inc.

Scholarship America Marks 25th Anniversary of 9/11 by Honoring Its Support for the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund
Image File

NEW YORK, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Scholarship America today marks the 25th anniversary of the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, which it established and has administered since the fund's founding in the direct aftermath of the September 11th attacks.

On September 11, 2001, the unthinkable happened, and the nation was forever changed. Thousands of children, including those of Ground Zero first responders, lost a parent or watched one become permanently disabled. In response, Scholarship America helped establish the Families of Freedom Fund to protect the dreams of these students, which it has proudly administered for more than two decades.

In the years since, the Fund's scope has expanded to include the children of rescue and rebuilding workers who developed long-term and chronic illnesses tied to their service, nearly doubling the number of students eligible for support. Meeting that growing need has required an equally significant response: more than 20,000 individuals, corporations, foundations, and organizations – including longtime supporters Citi and Strada Education Foundation – have contributed to the Fund, helping award $193 million to 3,877 students who lost a parent or had one permanently disabled as a result of the September 11th attacks and the recovery efforts that followed.

"From the moment the horrific attacks unfolded, we knew the impact would echo across generations," said Brandee McHale, Head of Community Investing and Development at Citi and President of the Citi Foundation. "We are proud of the work we did with organizations across the country to create this Fund, making a lasting commitment to support the educational needs of the children of victims."

The Fund's commitment will carry through 2030, when its youngest beneficiaries complete their undergraduate education.

"Twenty-five years later, we still remember how this Fund began—born out of one of the worst days in our nation's history in an effort to ensure that these victims' children wouldn't lose their futures along with their loved ones," said Mike Nylund, President and CEO of Scholarship America. "A promise was made to these students, and Scholarship America has been honored to help keep it for the past twenty-five years. Watching them graduate, build careers, and give back to their own communities has been one of the great privileges of this organization's history. On behalf of every student this Fund has supported, I am incredibly grateful for the generosity that made it possible."

About Scholarship America

Since 1958, Scholarship America has been committed to breaking down financial barriers to higher education, turning the generosity of donors into life-changing opportunities for students across the country. To date, the organization has distributed more than $6 billion in scholarships to over 3.5 million students, making it the nation's leading nonprofit scholarship administrator. Scholarship America also partners with individuals, foundations, small businesses, and nearly half of today's Fortune 500 companies to deliver end-to-end scholarship program management for students pursuing degrees and certifications at technical, vocational, and two- and four-year colleges and universities.
