Branch Refresh and Expanding AI Security Requirements Reshape the SASE Growth Mix

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recently published report from Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the telecommunications, security, networks, and data center industries, the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market reached $3.5 B in 2Q 2026 and extended its run of growth above 20 percent year-over-year (Y/Y) to a fifth consecutive quarter. Underneath the headline, however, the composition of growth changed meaningfully as branch-network modernization strengthened while Security Service Edge (SSE) expanded into a broader set of data, experience, and AI-related controls.

"The more interesting story this quarter is not simply that SASE remained a strong-growth market, but that the sources of growth are changing," said Mauricio Sanchez, Sr. Director, Enterprise Security and Networking at Dell'Oro Group. "Branch refresh became more prominent as enterprises addressed aging infrastructure, support requirements, security exposure, and higher capacity needs.

"At the same time, SSE is becoming more than an access-and-inspection platform. Enterprises are increasingly looking to the same control point for data protection, AI governance, operational visibility, and policy consistency. That broadening opportunity is creating new areas of competition without eliminating demand for the core SSE functions," added Sanchez.

Additional highlights from the 2Q 2026 SASE and SD-WAN Quarterly Report:

- SD-WAN strengthened materially as branch modernization moved higher on enterprise priority lists. The evidence points to selective replacement of aging or higher-risk infrastructure rather than a broad, simultaneous refresh of entire branch estates.

- SSE Core remained the foundation of SASE security spending, although growth moderated as vendors and customers continued migrating from legacy products toward broader cloud-delivered security platforms.

- SSE Extended grew faster than the Core market as Data Security and Digital Experience Management became more meaningful monetized extensions. AI governance is reinforcing this expansion, although AI is not yet a standalone explanation for overall SASE growth.

- Access Routers remained under pressure as more branch value migrated toward SD-WAN and security-converged platforms, although traditional routing performed better than previously expected as some legacy equipment still required replacement.

- SASE architecture remains contested. Single-vendor consolidation continues to appeal to customers seeking operational simplicity and accountability, while multi-vendor designs remain viable in complex enterprises which value control-point choice and have the operational maturity to integrate multiple platforms.

The Dell'Oro Group SASE & SD-WAN report includes manufacturers' revenue covering the SASE and Access Router markets. The report also analyzes the SASE market from two perspectives: technology (SD-WAN networking and SSE security) and class (single-vendor and multi-vendor). Moreover, SSEs are further broken down into core (CASB, FWaaS, SWG, and ZTNA) and extended (data security and digital experience management) functions, while SD-WAN data is also provided by customer size (Large Enterprise and SMB). The report also provides unit information for the Access Router market. To purchase this report, please contact us at [email protected].

Corelight's Latest Release Breaks Down Barriers to AI SOC Adoption and Expands AI Threat Detection
Image File
Original HTML

New capabilities give SOC teams deterministic, exportable, auditable AI investigation and eliminate workflow friction across the security stack

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Corelight, a leader in enabling the defensible AI SOC, today announced new solutions to accelerate the adoption of the AI SOC without surrendering the transparency, auditability, and control that network defense demands. Corelight released the Agent Builder Library and Natural Language Query to best leverage the speed and functionality of AI and address the state of constant vulnerability most enterprises now face. Corelight is also expanding its detection coverage beyond identifying which AI applications are in use to catching AI supply-chain compromise, anomalous AI activity, and stealth command-and-control (C2) and exfiltration — all feeding directly into the same expert-authored, auditable investigation logic behind its AI capabilities.

Attackers are using AI models to accelerate vulnerability discovery and exploitation, compressing the window defenders have to respond. While typical enterprise patching cycles can still run from 60 to 150 days, the median time to exploit has fallen to roughly five days. In addition, with Mythos-class AI models, defenders are expecting to see vulnerabilities exploited before there is broad knowledge that there is even a hole to be patched. Faster patching simply is not the answer – AI-speed attacks require AI-speed defense. However, widespread adoption of AI in the SOC is progressing slower than attacker adoption of AI, held back by two persistent barriers: a network expertise gap and a query language expertise gap. Corelight's latest release eliminates both.

"The instinct is to fight AI-speed attacks with AI-speed defense, and that's right. But speed without expertise is just fast guessing," said Vijit Nair, senior vice president of product at Corelight. "We've packaged a decade of network forensics knowledge into building blocks that any AI agent can execute, whether it's ours or the customer's own. The result is an AI investigation that's transparent enough for a skeptical analyst to verify line-by-line, accessible enough for a day-one hire to use immediately, and operational enough to put these agentically validated, pre-triaged threats directly in front of the human as quickly as possible."

Corelight has spent more than a decade turning ground-truth network evidence into the standard that the most attacked, hardened security teams rely on. Earlier this year, Corelight also introduced Agentic triage, category-first AI capabilities that help modern SOCs automate the most repetitive tasks consuming security teams, dramatically improving analyst efficiency and speed while also building trust through complete transparency. This launch extends that same expertise into tools that let every SOC operate as elite network defenders, ready to combat the most challenging cyber threat in history.

- Corelight Agent Builder Library — Tackling the expertise barrier, Corelight provides a structured set of triage playbooks, field explanations, entity-pivoting guides, and investigation decision trees, distilled from more than a decade of Corelight's network forensics expertise. Because the logic is deterministic and documented rather than probabilistic, it is fully exportable — security teams can bring it into their own AI agents, SOAR workflows, or private LLM environments, including air-gapped and classified networks with no cloud connectivity.

- Natural Language Query (NLQ) — Addressing the query syntax barrier, Corelight lets analysts ask plain-English questions about network evidence and receive working, LogScale queries that are automatically validated and executed against their data. Orchestrated AI sub-agents analyze each question, build a query plan, and return results with full chain-of-thought reasoning visible to the analyst. The generated query is editable so analysts can learn from the construction and refine as needed – removing the need to learn specialized syntax before investigating.

"Security teams are increasingly investigating the use of AI to combat the accelerating speed of threat actors who have been early adopters of the technology," said Andrew Braunberg, principal analyst, Omdia. "The ability to automate security workflows are quickly becoming expected capabilities in SecOps solutions but the tools that become widely adopted in the SOC will need to do more than just automate, they will need to document, evaluate, and explain. Inspectable logic that can run outside the vendor's cloud isn't a nice-to-have anymore; for a lot of buyers, especially in regulated and air-gapped environments, it's a primary evaluation criterion."

Unlike AI investigation tools that operate as opaque scoring engines, every Corelight-generated verdict is traceable to the specific playbook invoked, the behavioral signals that triggered it, and the evidence that supports it — a distinction critical to both to skeptical analysts and to regulators. The capabilities are designed to support documented, defensible incident response under frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, SEC disclosure rules, and CMMC 2.0.

From Shadow AI Visibility to AI Threat Detection and Behavioral Defense

Alongside these AI investigation capabilities, Corelight is expanding beyond identifying which AI applications are in use to detecting when AI-related activity becomes a security threat. New AI threat detections identify known AI supply-chain compromise indicators, suspicious AI gateway and provider activity, attacks against exposed AI infrastructure, and anomalous AI application behavior. Combined with expanded behavioral analytics for command-and-control and data exfiltration, Corelight gives defenders visibility across both emerging AI threats and the broader attacker path. The expansion adds three capabilities aimed at threats that don't leave a signature behind.

- Detect known AI threats — Corelight identifies AI supply-chain compromise indicators, known exfiltration infrastructure, suspicious AI gateways and providers, and reconnaissance or exploitation attempts against exposed AI endpoints.

- Detect anomalous AI activity — Application anomaly detection surfaces new or unusual AI usage and behavior that deviates from established patterns, helping analysts identify potentially compromised or misused AI applications even when no known signature exists.

- Detect stealth C2 and exfiltration — Corelight combines 31-day subnet-level destination history with per-host upload baselining to surface connections to never-before-seen countries and unusual outbound data transfers, exposing C2, staging, and data theft that static blocklists or thresholds can miss.

Every signal generated by the expanded Anomaly Engine feeds directly into the Corelight Agent Builder Library's playbooks and into Agentic Triage, so behavioral detections don't just fire an alert — they trigger the same expert-authored investigation logic that produces an auditable, evidence-backed verdict.

Kindred Reaches Milestone of Half a Million Nights Swapped, Marking a New Era For The Travel Industry

Growth Signals a Broader Shift in Changing Consumer Behavior, as Rising Costs Push Travelers Toward Community-Driven Alternatives

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kindred, the global home swapping platform, today announced surpassing 500,000 nights swapped on the platform since the company launched in 2022 — a milestone that signals how peer-to-peer home swapping has moved from niche behavior to an established way of traveling.

The milestone lands amid a broader shift in how people are choosing to travel. With rising hotel prices and short-term rentals facing increased regulatory pressure in cities worldwide, more travelers are opting out of both, instead choosing to swap primary residences as an affordable option rooted in trust and connection.

It follows the company's $125 million fundraise earlier this year and the launch of Kindred Circles, enabling members to swap homes within trusted sub-communities built around shared networks, interests, or values — including the recently launched Women Traveler's Circle and Family Travel Circle.

"People aren't just looking for somewhere cheaper to stay — they're looking for alternative ways to travel altogether, one that doesn't come with hotel price tags or the anonymity of staying in an investment property," said Justine Palefsky, Co-Founder and CEO of Kindred. "Every one of those 500,000 nights depended on a member opening up their real home, and knowing that generosity gets returned when someone else opens their home back to them. Everyone has skin in the game."

Kindred now has over 400,000 members across 150+ cities, with growth accelerating since the introduction of Circles this year, while maintaining a member satisfaction score of 9+ out of 10 throughout this period of rapid growth. Unlike short-term rental platforms, Kindred facilitates only non-commercial exchanges with over 90% of homes on the platform being members' primary residences, keeping supply out of the short-term rental market and in the hands of everyday people.

"Reaching half a million nights booked isn't about growth for its own sake — it's proof that Kindred's model holds at scale," said Tasneem Amina, Co-founder and President of Kindred, pointing to the infrastructure behind the milestone. "Circles has helped accelerate that trust, by enabling members to swap within existing networks they are part of, deepening that sense of belonging."

Kindred operates across North America and Europe, with key markets including — but not limited to — New York, London, Los Angeles, Barcelona, and Paris. It will continue to expand Circles to new sub-communities, based on member demand.

About Kindred

Launched in 2022, Kindred is a global, members-only home swapping platform of 400,000+ members that allows verified members to swap homes through a more accessible, responsible, human travel experience. Kindred offers a third option of accommodation compared to hotels and short-term rentals: over 90% of Kindred's inventory is people's primary residences, uniquely positioning it within the travel accommodation market. Kindred costs roughly one-tenth of a short-term rental in a comparable home. To learn more, visit livekindred.com.

Lightspeed Introduces "On Deck" to Help Golf Courses Recapture Canceled Tee-Time Demand
Image File
Original HTML

Through the Lightspeed Golf booking experience, golfers can set up an On Deck request for a preferred tee time or time window. When a matching opening is found due to a cancellation or rescheduling by the original booker, they receive an automated email with an opportunity to book it.

Golfers want to play at their preferred time, but when that time is already booked, they are often left checking back manually or settling for a less convenient slot. On Deck gives them an easier way to express interest in the tee times they want, while helping courses connect newly available inventory with golfers who are ready to play.

For golf courses, a filled tee time can create revenue opportunities beyond the booking itself, including cart rentals, pro shop purchases and food and beverage sales. By connecting newly available tee times with interested golfers, On Deck can help courses improve occupancy, recover revenue from cancellations and reduce the manual follow-up associated with managing demand.

On Deck works with the Lightspeed Golf booking experience and tee sheet, helping courses manage demand without adding another system or process. The capability is designed to reduce empty slots while minimizing additional work for course staff and golfers.

On Deck rolls out alongside Tee Time Reminders, which sends golfers an automated email 48 hours before a booking to confirm or edit their reservation. Lightspeed plans to continue expanding On Deck to help courses deliver better golfer experiences and capture more booking opportunities.

Storyteller Overland Announces STO Fest: Where Overlanding Meets Live Music
Image File
Original HTML

STO Fest is a four-day gathering in Johnson Valley, California, built around overlanding, live music, and the outdoors. It grew out of the brand's community of vehicle owners, but the gate swings both ways — STO Fest welcomes anyone ready to say yes to their next grand adventure, whether they show up in a fully kitted rig or have never set foot off-pavement.

Overlanding and live music pull from the same crowd: people who go find it instead of waiting for it to come to them. STO Fest puts them in the same place, at the same time, for the first time.

Presented by Gibson Guitars and Mercedes-Benz, the festival features two bands each night on the Gibson Stage, Thursday through Saturday, with headline sets from Ozomatli, Blackberry Smoke, and The Struts, plus a special appearance from The Dusty Bunch, a musical collective made up of Storyteller Overland's own team members — including CEO, Neil Grimmer.

Thursday, October 15

Headliner Ozomatli brings three decades of Grammy-winning genre fusion blending Latin, hip-hop, funk, and reggae, rooted in Los Angeles. Opening the night is The Western States, a rising force in the LA country scene built for high-energy sets that span classic country, honky-tonk, and alt-country.

Friday, October 16

Southern rock mainstays Blackberry Smoke headline, fresh off their latest album Be Right Here and a #1 Billboard Americana/Folk chart debut. Blues-rock guitarist Jared James Nichols opens, pick-less playing style and all.

Saturday, October 17

Glam-rock powerhouse The Struts close out the weekend known for arena-sized hits like "Could Have Been Me" and "Body Talks." All-female Black Sabbath tribute act Black Sabbitch opens, fresh off their live album Unrest in the West.

"Our community has always known how to gather around a campfire, a trailhead, a hot meal after a long adventure," said Josh Ehren, Chief Marketing Officer of Storyteller Overland. "STO Fest just gives those connections a stage and a lineup. It's the same incredible people, the same reason we all got into this in the first place, we just added the live music."

Beyond the music, STO Fest runs full days of programming. Learning Labs give guests hands-on skills sessions all weekend. Vendor Village showcases gear, mods, and makers. Attendees can get behind the wheel with demo drives in Storyteller vehicles and LiveWire electric motorcycles, or meet the Mojave mini donkeys who call the high desert home. Food, water, showers, and restroom facilities are on-site all weekend. Campfires and conversations round out each night, the space where the community connections really happen.

STO Fest 2026 runs October 15–18 at Lasertown in Johnson Valley, California. Tickets and full event details are available at stofest.com.

An overlap in leadership boosts synergistic progress in aquatic weed control initiatives

WESTMINSTER, Colo., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Weed Science Society of America (WSSA) commends the Aquatic Plant Management Society (APMS) for its recent and ongoing initiatives to research and manage aquatic plants, and for its successful collaboration with WSSA member scientists to manage and control aquatic weeds. The APMS is a WSSA affiliate society with many members that belong to both organizations.

This summer, the APMS convened its 66th Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona (July 13-16). During the meeting, Ramon Leon, Ph.D., NC State University, was awarded the APMS T. Wayne Miller Distinguished Service Award for his efforts to convert the Journal of Aquatic Plant Management (JAPM) from print-only to open-access digital publication. Dr. Leon is the JAPM Editor, an APMS Board member and WSSA member scientist. Another WSSA member, Chris Mudge, Ph.D., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was also recognized at the APMS conference. Dr. Mudge earned the top research award for the society, the APMS Outstanding Research Contributor award, for his efforts to advance aquatic plant management initiatives to protect water resources in the U.S.

Four other WSSA member scientists now serve in top APMS leadership roles. Lyn Gettys, Ph.D., University of Florida, serves as Past President, and Gray Turnage, Ph.D., Mississippi State University was elected Vice President. WSSA member scientists now also serve as APMS Secretary -- Greg MacDonald, Ph.D., University of Florida – and APMS Board of Directors (BOD) – Mirella Ortiz, Ph.D., Utah State University. In addition, Benjamin Sperry, Ph.D., University of Florida is now on the APMS BOD, having had notable involvement as a WSSA member scientist in previous years.

The APMS annual meeting theme this summer was "Water in the Arid Southwest - Policies, Allocation & Ecosystem Challenges." The event attracted 113 individuals who were able to view 41 research presentations and 15 research posters on diverse aquatic management topics, including weed management.

At the meeting, 17 graduate students from eight universities had a unique opportunity to experience some water scarcity and aquatic weed management issues in the Southwest during a visit to the Tres Rios Wetlands. This recently constructed U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) wetland system serves as an important environmental restoration project that includes rehabilitation of nearly 700 acres in and around the Salt River, creating a vital wetland and riparian habitat for flora and fauna, especially migratory birds. As part of the excursion, students were divided into groups to mark and map the presence of invasive saltcedar (Tamarix spp.) to geolocate weed populations designated for later removal as part of a bird nesting habitat improvement project.

The annual meeting also featured an expert panel discussion entitled: "20 Years of Aquatic Plant Management: What's Changed?" Part of those discussions included the volatility in federal funding for aquatic plant management in recent years, the importance of new technology and research needs, and a general movement towards non-chemical aquatic weed control options in some regions.

Earlier this year, both WSSA and APMS sent leadership to meet with key U.S. agriculture and environmental representatives and legislators in Washington, D.C., to help further the mission for each society. Whether legislative, scientific, or educational, these collaborations will continue this fall and into next year.

"Working with APMS gives us a stronger voice in communicating the funding needs of aquatic weed research and management," says Ian Burke, Ph.D., WSSA President. "Together, we can help decision-makers understand how sustained investment supports the science, tools and next generation of scientists needed to protect our water resources."

CommonGround Acquired by Farmers National Company to help Landowners and Farmers Navigate a Changing Agricultural Economy

Digital platform brings transparency, market intelligence, and confidence to farmland leasing

OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In an agricultural economy defined by fluctuating commodity prices, changing interest rates, rising input costs, and increasing competition for farmland, one question has become more important than ever: What should farmland rent for in today's market?

For many landowners, including institutional ownership groups, determining the current value of their farmland assets and understanding leasing opportunities can be challenging. At the same time, farmers looking to grow their operations often struggle to identify available land and connect with landowners beyond their local network. CommonGround was created to solve both challenges.

As a modern digital farmland marketplace, CommonGround helps landowners better understand the value of their land assets while creating new opportunities for farmers seeking to expand their operations. Through valuation tools, digital listings, leasing workflows, and marketplace connections, the platform brings greater transparency, accessibility, and confidence to farmland transactions for owners, operators, and investors.

By bringing both sides of the leasing transaction into one digital marketplace, CommonGround helps landowners reach a broader pool of qualified farmers while giving operators a more efficient way to discover and pursue available farmland. The platform simplifies what has traditionally been a relationship-driven, fragmented process by combining market intelligence, digital listings, and connection tools in one place. As landowners seek better insight into asset performance and farmers compete for growth opportunities, this type of transparent, technology-enabled marketplace represents the future of farmland leasing.

Farmers National Company acquired CommonGround in early 2026 as part of a broader strategy to bring cutting-edge farmland technology to landowners while pairing that digital experience with trusted land professionals who have boots on the ground across the nation, in over 30 states.

"Farmland is one of the most valued assets many families, ownership groups, and investors hold, yet understanding what it's worth and the market opportunities around it has never been more complex," said Grant Fitzgerald, Senior Vice President of Farm Management at Farmers National Company. "Whether you're a landowner evaluating leasing options or a farmer looking for additional acres, better information leads to better decisions."

The acquisition reflects Farmers National Company's commitment to investing in tools and partnerships that support long-term land stewardship, improve landowner profitability, and help farmers compete in a more data-driven agricultural economy.

About CommonGround

CommonGround is the only digital farmland marketplace designed to bring transparency, efficiency, and data‑driven decision support to farmland leasing. The platform provides landowners with tools to evaluate lease value, market land for lease, and connect with vetted farmers, and land professionals. Backed by America's largest land management company, Farmers National Company, CommonGround offers a modern experience with the backing of a nearly 100-year agricultural company. ReEmerge, Inc. Exits Stealth with Oversubscribed $37M Series A to Challenge the Limitations of Chronic Cognitive Impairment Caused by Brain Injuries

- Company's Cognitive Network Restoration Therapy (CNRT) technology aims to make meaningful cognitive recovery possible years after initial injury

- Targeting a brain hub involved in executive function, CNRT activates underperforming networks to reverse deficits and restore independence

- Groundbreaking therapeutic approach has the potential to transform chronic cognitive impairment care from rehabilitation to restoration

EDINA, Minn., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ReEmerge, Inc. (ReEmerge), a private MedTech company innovating a new way to address cognitive impairment, launched from stealth today following the close of an oversubscribed $37M Series A financing. The proceeds will support an upcoming clinical study that will evaluate ReEmerge's proprietary Cognitive Network Restoration Therapy (CNRT) in its first clinical indication, traumatic brain injury (TBI), while advancing technology development, expanding clinical and regulatory operations, and preparing the platform for future indications. U.S. Venture Partners (USVP) and Santé co-led the round, with significant participation from Oxford Science Enterprises, 415 Capital, IAG Capital Partners, The Vertical Group, and Dendrion Ventures.

"ReEmerge's technology represents a fundamentally different approach to cognitive recovery with the potential to transform the recovery pathway," commented Jonathan Root, MD, General Partner at USVP. "The size of the opportunity and the profound unmet need make this an especially compelling market for innovation. We are excited about this technology and the new hope it aims to offer patients and their families."

"TBI does not discriminate. It can happen to anyone at any age, and its consequences can fundamentally alter a person's ability to live, work, and engage with the world around them," said Auriel August, MD, Principal at Santé. "CNRT could offer people living with TBI something they have too often been told not to expect, namely the possibility of meaningful cognitive recovery."

CNRT is a proprietary, first-of-its-kind approach that precisely targets neural networks in the central thalamus, a brain hub involved in attention, arousal, and executive function. Rather than bypassing damaged pathways or asking patients to compensate for lost function, CNRT aims to augment the recovery journey by driving underactive but viable neural circuits. By restoring function across existing but underperforming networks, CNRT aims to reverse cognitive deficits and allow recovery to extend further.

This technology grew out of decades of research by Nicholas Schiff, M.D. Professor of Neuroscience in the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine and colleagues at Stanford University and the University of Utah, which explored the possible restorative effect of brain electrical stimulation after TBI. A pilot study showed promising results, with patients regaining cognitive function. The Center for Technology Licensing at Weill Cornell worked closely with Dr. Schiff's team to protect the intellectual property, provide internal translational gap funding, and license the foundational intellectual property to ReEmerge to advance clinical and commercial development of CNRT.

Building upon this groundbreaking clinical research, including a publication in Nature Medicine, ReEmerge will conduct a prospective, single-arm, multicenter study (NCT07730099) to evaluate this treatment, enrolling up to 40 patients with chronic moderate-to-severe TBI. Additionally, the study will explore potential effects on cognitive and functional outcomes.

"As a physician-scientist and co-founder, it has been very rewarding to see the arc of benchtop science moving forward and being translated into a meaningful clinical development pathway," stated Dr. Schiff. "I am excited for us to advance the testing of treatment for many patients, who have historically had limited therapeutic options, as we look to shift cognitive care from rehabilitation to restoration and ultimately, to redefine recovery."

Each year, an estimated 27 million people worldwide experience a traumatic brain injury, and many are left with persistent cognitive impairment.1 Current recovery pathways focus on rehabilitation, helping patients compensate for cognitive deficits through structured routines, adaptive strategies, and supportive therapies. While these interventions can improve function, the journey can be long, and recovery will often plateau, frequently leaving patients with lasting impairments that limit independence, quality of life, and personhood.

"The strong support of our stellar investor syndicate validates our mission to evolve the recovery trajectory for patients living with impaired cognitive function," said Todd Langevin, Chief Executive Officer of ReEmerge. "We look forward to initiating our clinical study in TBI and building a robust body of evidence to support our differentiated approach to treating cognitive impairment."

About ReEmerge, Inc.

ReEmerge is innovating a new way to approach chronic cognitive impairment. Developed under an exclusive licensing agreement with Cornell University, the company's novel Cognitive Network Restoration Therapy (CNRT) precisely targets neural networks disrupted by brain injury that drive underactive but viable neural circuits. By restoring function across these existing but underperforming networks, CNRT aims to reverse cognitive deficits and restore agency and personhood.
