Indiana American Water Opens New Training Center and Launches Flow Forward Program to Inspire Indiana's Future Workforce

$2.2 million investment advances workforce development, introduces students to water careers and reinforces a longstanding commitment to Northwest Indiana

GARY, Ind., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Indiana American Water today celebrated the official opening of the new $2.2 million American Water Training Center at the company's Northwest Indiana campus near Borman Park, in the heart of Gary. The facility represents another significant investment in employee development, operational readiness and the future of water service in Indiana.

The new training center also serves as the kickoff location for the company's Flow Forward program, a statewide workforce development initiative that connects students with career opportunities in water, wastewater, engineering, technology, operations and skilled trades through hands-on learning experiences and industry engagement.

Located at 650 Madison Street, the training center provides a dedicated, hands-on environment where employees can develop the field, operational and safety skills needed to deliver safe, clean, reliable and affordable water service. Designed as an outdoor "mini-city," the facility enables employees to train in realistic, real-world scenarios within a controlled setting before performing similar work in the communities they serve.

VIDEO: Take a look inside Indiana American Water's new training center.

To mark the occasion, company leaders, community partners and students participated in a ceremonial fire hydrant opening that symbolized the launch of both the new training center and Flow Forward. The moment represented the opening of a new flow of workforce development opportunities, career exploration and hands-on training for current and future water professionals across Indiana.

The center supports instruction across production, field services, construction, safety and future water applications. Training capabilities include excavation and shoring, utility locating, traffic control, water main tapping, service line work, confined-space procedures, meter installation, hydrant repair and water main repair and replacement.

"Today's opening is about much more than a new facility. It reflects Indiana American Water's longstanding commitment to Gary, Northwest Indiana and the people who help keep life flowing every day," said Barry Suits, president of Indiana American Water." Just as water flows through our communities to support everyday life, we want Flow Forward to create a pathway for students to discover meaningful careers and opportunities. The ceremonial hydrant opening represents both the launch of this training center and the beginning of a new statewide workforce development effort."

As part of today's Flow Forward program, students of GEO 21st Century Academy in Northwest Indiana participated in a hands-on introduction to the water industry, engaging with utility professionals and exploring the skills, technologies and career opportunities that help deliver safe and reliable water and wastewater services. The experience is designed to showcase the essential role water professionals play in protecting public health, supporting economic development and sustaining communities across Indiana.

Participating students in the Flow Forward program joined company employees, educators and community leaders for hands-on demonstrations, training center tours and conversations about careers in operations, engineering, water quality, technology, safety and other essential areas of the water sector.

"Flow Forward gives students a firsthand look at the people, skills and technology behind reliable water service," said Justin Mount, Manager of Northwest Indiana Operations. "By symbolically opening a hydrant today, we're opening the door to new possibilities for students across Indiana. We want young people to see themselves in these careers and understand how they can help keep life flowing in their own communities."

Highlighting Continued Investments in Gary

The training center is the latest in a series of major Indiana American Water investments in Gary and Northwest Indiana. The company recently completed a multi-year, $23.5 million water main replacement project from Colfax Street to Broadway, modernizing critical infrastructure and supporting long-term system reliability. Indiana American Water also completed $4.3 million in renovations to its Gary office, strengthening the campus as a center for customer service, operations, employee development and community partnership.

Together, Indiana American Water's new $2.2 million training center, $23.5 million water main replacement project and $4.3 million the Borman Park water treatment facility building and office complex renovation, combined with the $8 million Disinfection Treatment Plant completed at the Borman Park facility just over three years ago, represent nearly $38 million in investments in Gary operations and infrastructure. These projects reflect the company's long-term commitment to its employees, customers and the continued economic vitality of Northwest Indiana.

Indiana American Water remains focused on investing in infrastructure, workforce development and community partnerships that support reliable service and create opportunities for future generations.

Kairon Health Raises $5 Million to Power AI-Driven Execution in Value-Based Care

Flare Capital Partners Leads the Round as ACOs and Health Systems

Face a 2027 Reset in Medicare Risk Models

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kairon Health, the AI-native execution layer for value-based care, today announced $5 million in venture funding. The round was led by Flare Capital Partners, with participation from Tau Ventures and existing investors Lightbank, General Advance and Pave Health Ventures. Kairon helps ACOs, health systems, IPAs, MSOs, group practices and clinically integrated networks run the day-to-day work of value-based care. The new capital will fund AI development across Kairon's five workflow clouds, deepen its care operations and patient outreach products, and expand the go-to-market team as Medicare's accountable care programs enter their largest structural change in a decade.

Accountable care organizations and health networks have spent a decade buying analytic solutions that flag care gaps but closing them still falls to an army of staff working across disjointed data systems and spreadsheets. Kairon replaces those numerous solutions with a single system.

"I spent nine years at Aledade building the foundation of value-based care, and the problem was never visibility," said Nick Bartz, Co-founder and CEO of Kairon Health. "Nobody's core problem is that they can't see the care gap. Clinical teams are already running flat out—care managers are carrying huge patient loads; liaisons are in the field all day, and the gap still doesn't close because closing it takes another set of hands or more hours in the day. So, we built the execution layer that does the actual work and we measure whether it worked or not so a customer never has to take our word for it. Operators today are paying 5 to10X what we charge for software that simply hands the problem back to them in a prettier format. Flare gets this problem space and has real depth in value-based care, so they are the perfect partner to help us scale our solution."

Kairon ingests, normalizes and links claims, clinical records, ADT feeds, labs and pharmacy data alongside qualitative sources most systems discard, like meeting transcripts, filed notes and CRM logs. The company takes all this data and creates a single patient-to-practice model that is payer agnostic.

"We've known Nick and Evan for several years and admire their operating experience and commitment to pushing value-based care forward with the right technology," said Tara Sullivan, Principal at Flare Capital Partners. "Kairon is already producing results for customers carrying real risk. With ACO REACH concluding and the LEAD model starting next year, the pressure on providers to execute will continue to rise. There's never been a better moment for entrepreneurs who've lived through past value-based care transitions to build what's next. We see the right team, the right technology, and policy timing aligned, and believe Kairon can define this category."

Early Customer Traction & Policy Tailwinds

With CMS committing to placing all traditional Medicare beneficiaries in accountable care relationships by 2030 and the ACO REACH program being succeeded by the new LEAD performance model, provider-based organizations will be taking on more downside risk and committing to it for longer. Providers will need to get a better handle on how to bend the cost curve. Kairon helps practices turn data into prioritized workflows and close care gaps by measuring what actually moves the needle with patients and practice staff.

Kairon is live today across MSSP, ACO REACH, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and commercial contracts covering more than 1 million attributed lives in 30+ states, including one national ACO enabler customer who is managing 350,000+ Medicare lives and a hospital system managing value-based care for approximately 350,000 lives.

About Kairon Health

Kairon Health is an AI-native execution layer for value-based care, serving ACOs, health systems, IPAs, MSOs, group practices and clinically integrated networks. Its platform connects five workflow clouds — Practice Intelligence, Care Operations, Patient Activation, Portfolio Management and Impact Analytics — to turn field data into worklists, outreach and billed, measurable outcomes. Kairon is HIPAA compliant, SOC 2 Type II certified and NCQA PHM Prevalidated, with HITRUST certification in progress. Ferrovalle and INFORM Partner to Advance AI-Powered Intermodal Operations in Mexico City
Image File
Original HTML

INFORM's Syncrotess Optimization Plus platform to power major Smart Yard automation initiative at Latin America's flagship inland rail freight hub at Ferrovalle Intermodal in Mexico City. The optimization software will support yard, equipment, and train operations across two operational areas while working alongside Ferrovalle's existing in-house Terminal Operating System (TOS). Go-live is targeted for June 2027.

ATLANTA and CHICAGO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- INFORM, a global leader in AI-driven logistics and operational optimization, today announced Ferrovalle has selected its Syncrotess Optimization Plus software to power a major Smart Yard initiative in Mexico City. Ferrovalle operates one of Mexico's most important rail freight hubs and serves as a key last-mile connection for rail traffic moving through the Valley of Mexico. Its intermodal division handled around 550,000 TEUs in 2025, making it one of Latin America's largest inland intermodal operations.

Taking automation beyond the gate

With its Smart Yard project, Ferrovalle is extending its automation further into terminal operations. Planning container storage, equipment deployment, and train loading and discharge currently still relies to a significant degree on manual criteria and dispatcher experience. Syncrotess Optimization Plus will use operational data from Ferrovalle's existing systems to provide greater operational transparency and generate coordinated, continuously updated recommendations.

"Smart Yard represents an important next step in Ferrovalle's digital transformation and in our vision for the future of intermodal operations," said Francisco Fabila, Managing Director of Ferrovalle. "Our objective is clear: every train, every railcar, every container and every truck moving through our operation should have real-time digital visibility, supported with automated data capture, advanced analytics and AI-driven decision support by INFORM. By integrating these capabilities into our existing digital ecosystem, we are giving our teams better tools to operate more efficiently, consistently, and safely. Ultimately, technology is not the objective in itself; it is an enabler to deliver a more predictable, reliable and customer-focused service."

The solution combines INFORM's Yard Optimizer, Crane Optimizer, Vehicle Optimizer, and Train Load Optimizer. The initial optimized fleet includes eight RTG cranes, four reach stackers, and 14 terminal tractors. Ferrovalle aims to increase equipment throughput, improve the ratio of billable moves to total handling volume, and meet defined service-level targets for truck handling, train loading, and train discharging.

A key feature of the project is its hybrid architecture. Rather than replacing Ferrovalle's internally developed TOS, Syncrotess Optimization Plus will operate as an additional optimization layer, exchanging train consist data, load plans, container status, clearance information, and operational updates.

Optimization within a complex customs environment

The project covers two specific yards: customs-cleared and customs-controlled yards. The optimization must maintain this separation while also accounting for different processes for maritime and cross-border containers.

Dedicated inspection and loading areas will be integrated into the workflow through automated tractor assignments and status exchanges with Ferrovalle's TOS. Additionally, integration with the terminal's Equipment Control System (ECS) enables automatic weight verification during routine crane lifts, eliminating separate weighing stops and keeping cargo moving.

Customs clearance will be incorporated directly into operational decision-making. Before Syncrotess Optimization Plus assigns a container for train loading, Ferrovalle's TOS confirms that the necessary customs and documentation clearance has been granted. Only cleared containers can be released for loading.

"Ferrovalle already has a sophisticated digital infrastructure, so this project is not about replacing existing systems," said Dr. Eva Savelsberg, Senior Vice President Terminal & Distribution Center Logistics at INFORM. "The task is to connect the available data with intelligent optimization and coordinate decisions across yard, equipment, and train operations."

To further streamline intermodal rail transfers, the Train Load Optimizer will additionally automate a planning process that is currently largely manual. It generates optimized train load plans based on available containers, train configurations, operational restrictions, and clearance status. Planners remain able to review and adjust the proposed plans when required.

The contract was signed in early September 2026, with go-live planned approximately nine months later in June 2027.

(NYSE: DNB) ("D&B") common stock in the open market from May 13, 2025 through August 26, 2025; (b) exchanged shares of D&B common stock into the August 26, 2025 merger of D&B with affiliates of Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. for $9.15 per share in cash (the "Merger"); and/or (c) held shares of D&B common stock as of the May 9, 2025 Record Date for the special meeting of stockholders and whose shares were voted on, or entitled to vote on, the Merger. So What: If you sold Dun & Bradstreet common stock, held shares of D&B common stock on May 9, 2025, or exchanged shares of D&B common stock as a result of its merger, you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement.

The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. Details of the case: The lawsuit seeks to recover damages on behalf of investors that were damaged as a result of allegedly false and misleading statements and omissions of material facts in D&B's March 23, 2025 announcement of the Merger and the May 13, 2025 definitive proxy statement on Schedule 14A (the "Proxy"). Among other things, the complaint alleges the Proxy and other solicitation materials misled investors regarding the true value of the Company and the subject transaction, including portraying the Merger as the product of an ordinary-course strategic review and organic arm's-length interest in D&B, while omitting Executive Chairman Foley's personal interest in a quick sale. The complaint also alleges the Proxy omitted Bank of America Securities' valuations of superior alternatives to a whole-company sale, misstated that D&B's Board of Directors had approved downward revisions to the Company's financial projections and failed to disclose long-standing, material ties between Foley and D&B's financial and legal advisors.

PURECORE COMMENCES DATA COMPILATION AND TARGET GENERATION AT YURCHISON URANIUM PROPERTY
Image File
Original HTML

VANCOUVER, BC, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Purecore Metals Inc. (CSE: PURE) (FSE: J8Y) (OTCQB: PPURF) ("Purecore" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has commenced a comprehensive data compilation and technical review program at the Yurchison Uranium Property ("Yurchison" or the "Property") in the Athabasca Basin, northern Saskatchewan.

Purecore holds an option to earn up to a 100% interest in Yurchison pursuant to its definitive option agreement with Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (TSXV: SYH). The Property comprises 22 claims covering approximately 35,029 hectares and is located approximately 75 kilometres south of Cameco Corporation's (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ) Rabbit Lake operation.

The program is intended to consolidate historical and modern geological, geochemical, geophysical and exploration information into an integrated project database and geological framework. The resulting dataset will be used to refine areas of interest, identify where multiple layers of technical evidence converge and prioritize targets for potential future field exploration.

Peter Berdusco, President and Chief Executive Officer of Purecore, commented:

"Yurchison has decades of exploration history and a significant volume of modern geophysical data. This program brings that information together into an integrated geological framework to refine our understanding of the Property and prioritize areas for future exploration."

Data Compilation and Target Generation

Yurchison has been subject to historical airborne and ground geophysical surveys, geological mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling and historical drilling. Much of the earlier exploration was completed prior to 2000, with additional modern airborne geophysical work completed in recent years.

The current program is expected to include:

- compilation and digitization of available historical geological, geochemical, geophysical and drilling information;

- integration and interpretation of historical and modern airborne geophysical datasets;

- review of historical uranium occurrences, prospecting results and previous exploration targets;

- assessment of structural and geological controls that may be relevant to uranium mineralization;

- comparison of geophysical conductors, structural features, geochemical anomalies and historical exploration results; and

- ranking of priority areas for potential follow-up exploration.

Previous work at Yurchison includes a 1,424 line-kilometre high-resolution airborne magnetic survey completed at 50-metre line spacing, as well as earlier VTEM work that identified multiple geophysical zones of interest. Additional airborne magnetic, radiometric and VLF-EM surveys have also been completed across the Property.

Historical exploration at Yurchison identified uranium mineralization in several areas of the Property, including prospecting near historical trenches that returned values ranging from 0.09% to 0.30% U₃O₈. These results, together with historical and modern geophysical datasets, will form part of the current compilation and technical review.

Yurchison Uranium Property

Yurchison comprises approximately 35,029 hectares in the Wollaston Domain of northern Saskatchewan. The Property is underlain by Wollaston Supergroup metasedimentary gneisses, including graphitic units adjacent to Archean granitic gneisses, and has seen historical exploration for uranium. Highway 905 provides access through the Property area.

The majority of historical exploration was completed prior to 2000, and significant portions of the Property have received limited modern follow-up. Purecore intends to use the current compilation and interpretation program to establish a stronger technical foundation for future exploration planning.

Giggles, A Fast-Growing Social App, Debuts Revamp And Hits Top 50 On The U.S. App Store

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Giggles, a fast-growing social video app, today relaunched with a ground-up redesign that introduces Aura, an in-app points system for interacting with videos from creators, and collectible trend cards.

The relaunch marks a clear break from the trading mechanics Giggles was previously known for. The app is now a short-form video platform where users create, watch, and share content across comedy, food, sports, music, and memes. Aura replaces the old economy with a simpler one: it is earned by participating, spent on interactions and creator rewards, and has no cash value. Trend cards are digital collectibles that mark viral moments on the platform. They are earned and collected with Aura and exist to celebrate the content, memes, and creators that define the internet.

Built with the community

The redesign follows months of direct conversations with hundreds of Giggles users and creators about what they actually wanted from the app.

Alongside the new direction, Giggles shipped its largest set of technical improvements to date. The update eliminates the UI lag that affected earlier versions, fixes server-side issues that hurt performance at scale, and rebuilds the platform's moderation systems from the ground up.

Going the other way

The relaunch comes as the industry moves in the opposite direction. Major platforms are increasingly turning engagement into something to wager on, and AI-generated content and automated accounts are making it harder for real people to surface. In June 2026, The New York Times reported that Meta is developing a standalone prediction-market app that would let users bet on real-world events.

"Giggles started as a place to have fun, and this brings it back to that," said Justin Jin, co-founder and CEO of Giggles. "We spent the last few months talking to our users, and they were clear. They want to create, watch, and connect. So we built Aura as a simpler way to interact, and rebuilt the app to be faster, safer, and more fun. This is the Giggles we always wanted to make."

"We tore out everything that was holding the app back," said Edwin Wang, co-founder and CTO. "The lag is gone, the server issues are fixed, and moderation has been rebuilt from scratch. What we're shipping today is the most stable and safest version of Giggles we've ever put out, and it's the foundation for everything that comes next."

The redesigned Giggles is available now on the App Store. An Android version is planned before Q4 of 2026.
