The article reviews how flooring type, room size, and subfloor conditions influence installation timelines for homeowners.

MONROE, Wis., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- How long does flooring installation take in Monroe, Wisconsin, homes? That question is answered in a HelloNation article featuring insights from Tim Buehler of Buehler Interiors in Monroe, Wisconsin.

The HelloNation article explains that flooring installation timelines can vary depending on several important factors. Room size, the type of flooring selected, the condition of the subfloor, and whether old flooring must be removed all influence how long a project may take. Understanding these variables allows homeowners to plan around daily routines, contractor schedules, and other home improvement work without unnecessary disruption.

Carpet is often the quickest flooring installation option for Monroe, Wisconsin homes. The article notes that most residential rooms can be completed in a single day if the subfloor is already in good condition. The process typically includes removing existing carpet and padding, preparing the floor surface, and installing the new material. Because the process moves quickly, homeowners can often resume normal use of the room soon after the installation is finished.

Hardwood flooring generally requires a longer timeline. According to the HelloNation article, hardwood installation usually takes two to five days, depending on the room size and the type of installation method used. Before installation begins, the subfloor must be inspected and sometimes leveled or repaired. Nail-down or staple-down installations may move faster, while glue-down methods or engineered hardwood can require additional time for adhesives to set properly. If unfinished hardwood is selected, sanding, staining, and sealing may add another day or more to the project schedule.

Tile flooring installation typically takes the most time because of the detailed preparation and curing process involved. The article explains that tile projects may require three to seven days to complete, depending on the layout and size of the area. Installers must carefully prepare the subfloor, apply moisture barriers when needed, and ensure tiles are evenly spaced and properly adhered. After the tiles are set, grout must cure before the flooring can handle regular foot traffic. Bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways often require additional time due to complex layouts and fixtures.

Luxury vinyl plank and laminate flooring usually fall in the middle range for flooring installation timelines. The article describes how these materials are often installed as floating floors, which allows planks to lock together without adhesives. A typical room can often be completed in one to three days. However, careful preparation is still necessary to ensure the subfloor is level, dry, and smooth. Cutting planks around doorways, vents, and cabinetry may extend the installation timeline slightly.

The HelloNation article also notes that removing old flooring can add extra time to the project. Demolition and disposal of materials such as tile, hardwood, or carpet may extend the schedule by a day or more. In some cases, contractors may uncover hidden issues such as water damage, mold, or structural concerns that require repairs before new flooring can be installed. Allowing flexibility in the timeline helps homeowners avoid frustration if these conditions arise.

Planning around flooring installation is another important consideration discussed in the article. Moving furniture, appliances, or cabinetry may require additional coordination before work begins. Scheduling installation during periods when certain rooms can remain unused can help reduce disruption to everyday routines. Clear communication with installers also helps ensure that project timelines remain organized and realistic.

By understanding how flooring type, subfloor condition, and room size influence the timeline, homeowners can better prepare for the installation process. The HelloNation article explains that careful planning and communication with contractors help ensure flooring installation projects move forward smoothly while minimizing interruptions to daily life.

In HelloNation, Family Dentistry Expert Dr. Amy E. Schmitt-Kingston Explains When Dental Fillings May Need Replacement

The article explains how to recognize warning signs of failing fillings and when to seek evaluation to prevent further tooth damage.

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- How can adults tell when dental fillings need to be replaced before serious damage occurs? That question is answered in a HelloNation article featuring insights from Dr. Amy E. Schmitt-Kingston of Springville, New York.

The HelloNation article explains that dental fillings play a key role in cavity treatment by restoring teeth and preventing further tooth decay. However, the filling lifespan depends on several factors, including the material used, the size of the restoration, and daily oral hygiene habits. Over time, even well-placed dental fillings can wear down or fail.

According to the article, metal amalgam fillings often last ten to fifteen years, while composite resin fillings typically last five to ten years. Regular dental exam appointments are essential for monitoring these restorations. Early detection of deterioration can prevent discomfort and reduce the need for more complex procedures.

The article notes that fillings may crack, chip, or separate from the natural tooth as they age. Small gaps can form between the filling and the tooth, allowing bacteria to enter and cause decay beneath the surface. This hidden tooth decay may not be visible without professional evaluation.

Patients may notice mild sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweet foods. Rough edges on a tooth or discomfort while chewing can also signal a problem. The HelloNation article explains that these symptoms suggest a dental exam is necessary to determine whether filling replacement is required.

Routine checkups allow dental professionals to examine existing dental fillings carefully. Dentists look for cracks, wear, and changes in the surrounding tooth structure. X-rays may reveal hidden decay beneath a restoration that cannot be seen during a visual inspection.

The article emphasizes that adults in Springville, New York, who maintain regular dental exam visits reduce the risk of more advanced treatments such as root canals or crowns. Addressing small issues early helps preserve natural tooth structure and limits the need for extensive repair.

Oral hygiene habits strongly influence the lifespan of fillings. Brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and flossing at least once a day helps prevent plaque buildup around dental fillings. Limiting sugary foods and drinks further reduces the risk of tooth decay near restored areas.

The HelloNation article also advises avoiding habits that can damage restorations. Chewing ice, biting fingernails, or using teeth as tools may cause cracks or fractures. Consistent oral hygiene and mindful habits improve the durability of fillings over time.

Material choice also plays a role in longevity. Amalgam fillings are known for durability, especially in back teeth, where chewing forces are greater. Composite resin fillings offer a natural appearance and bond directly to the tooth, though they may wear more quickly under heavy pressure.

The article explains that filling failure often develops gradually. Sensitivity or small cracks may appear before significant pain occurs. In some cases, only a portion of the filling needs replacement, while in others, the entire restoration must be removed if decay is found underneath.

The article concludes that proactive monitoring is the most effective way to protect teeth and restorations. Regular dental exam visits, strong oral hygiene practices, and attention to early warning signs help ensure timely filling replacement when necessary. Early action supports long-term dental health and prevents avoidable complications.

Signs It's Time to Replace Your Dental Fillings features insights from Dr. Amy E. Schmitt-Kingston, Family Dentistry Expert of Springville, New York, in HelloNation.

SkinCure Oncology Cites New Analysis Indicating Annual Incidence of Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer is 42 Percent Greater than Generally Believed

Company calls on healthcare community & policymakers to support a new national registry for the nation's most common cancer type

BURR RIDGE, Ill., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SkinCure Oncology, the leader in providing a comprehensive cancer center model for the delivery of Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy (Image-Guided SRT or IGSRT) for the treatment of nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC), presented as the GentleCure Experience℠, today reported a new data analysis indicating that the number of Americans with nonmelanoma skin cancer is far greater than traditionally thought. "Those old figures are woefully out of date and grossly understate the true impact of the disease," says SkinCure Oncology Chief Executive Officer Kerwin Brandt.

For more than a decade, health professionals and patient advocates have cited a key statistic in their discussion of NMSC. Their north star has been the statement that 3.3 million Americans are diagnosed with some 5.4 million NMSC lesions annually. Today, 14 years after the underlying data were collected, a fresh analysis of current data shows that 4.7 million Americans are diagnosed with NMSC annually, translating to an estimated 6.7 to 7.7 million lesions.

According to Brandt, "This significantly higher estimate of skin cancer incidence, an increase of more than 40 percent, underscores the critical importance of educating the public about skin cancer and providing them access to all available treatment options."

The lower statistics were reported in a 2015 study that analyzed data from 2012. This new benchmark of 4.7 million patients is a conservative estimate, based on four methodologies:

- Demographic Realities: NMSC heavily impacts older individuals, with 80 percent of cases occurring in those age 60 and older. Since 2012, the U.S. population age 65 and older has surged by nearly 50 percent, from 43.1 million to roughly 64 million in 2026. Factoring this in while freezing individual risk at 2012 levels yields 4.7 million patients.

- Conservative Compound Growth: While the period 2006-2012 saw 7 percent annual growth in the number of affected individuals, applying just one-third of that trend (2.5 percent annually) up to 2026 produces the same 4.7 million figure.

- Independent Survey Corroboration: Historical data from the federal Medical Expenditure Panel Survey shows NMSC patient numbers had already crossed the 4 million threshold more than a decade ago, indicating that the 4.7 million metric is likely conservative.

- The Upper Bound Limit: Extrapolating the true 2006 - 2012 trajectory linearly into 2026 would place the current number closer to 5.9 million individuals, indicating that 4.7 million is a conservative baseline.

Brandt continued, "The analysis we offer today should open a fresh conversation among the healthcare community, policymakers, and industry stakeholders about instituting comprehensive reporting of NMSC cases to a national registry and establishing appropriate insurance reimbursement policies to encourage early-stage identification and treatment of lesions with all recognized, FDA-cleared treatments, including Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy. The millions of patients dealing with skin cancer today deserve a healthcare system that counts them all and appropriately prioritizes their care."

YPSILANTI, Mich., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastern Michigan University Credit Union (EMUCU), a division of the University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU), opened a full-service branch this summer at 611 W. Cross Street just across from the EMU campus in downtown Ypsilanti. As the fall semester gets underway, the branch is serving students, faculty, staff and Ypsilanti residents.

EMUCU has a long history in Ypsilanti, and the Cross Street branch represents the credit union's commitment to the Ypsilanti community, putting a dedicated location steps from campus and in the center of the neighborhood. Members can visit in person or use the branch's interactive video teller machines (ITM) to connect face-to-face with an EMUCU team member on screen.

"Ypsilanti is a community EMUCU has been proud to be part of for many years. Our Cross Street branch gives us another opportunity to show up, build relationships, and make sure the students, families and residents who walk through our doors know we are here for them." said Tiffany Ford, Chief Executive Officer.

Beyond checking, savings, and lending, EMUCU offers financial education workshops and group learning sessions on topics like budgeting, building credit and managing debt. For students and residents looking for competitive rates on a home, vehicle or personal loan, the Cross Street branch is here to help. EMUCU members can get the exclusive Block E® debit card, available only from EMUCU.

"As an EMU graduate myself, I know how important it is for students and the community to have convenient access to financial services, along with the financial education they need to make confident decisions about their money. We're proud to be a resource for students and residents as they navigate their finances today and build their financial futures," said Marcus English, Chief Operations Officer and EMU alumnus.

Industry veterans Anthony Brennan and Greg Wille join Explore to help lead new business venture

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Explore Industries, a global leader in the swimming pool industry, today announced its expansion into the packaged pool market, adding steel walls and vinyl liners to its growing portfolio. Industry veterans Anthony Brennan and Greg Wille have joined Explore to help drive growth with this new venture.

The move represents a highly synergistic expansion for Explore Industries and its dealer network. Many pool dealers carry both fiberglass and packaged pools, enabling them to match prospective pool owners with the product that best fits their needs, preferences and budget. By participating in both categories, Explore sees an opportunity to help dealers optimize that experience and serve a broader range of pool buyers.

The packaged pool business also aligns naturally with Explore's pool equipment and Integra Pool Covers businesses, creating opportunities to drive growth across each.

"Explore has built its reputation by challenging ourselves to design better products, manufacture them to exceptional standards and create an outstanding experience for our dealers and pool owners," said David Pain, Global Chief Executive Officer of Explore Industries. "We see a tremendous opportunity to bring those same principles to the packaged pool market. The synergies across our dealer network, pool equipment and pool cover businesses make this a natural fit for Explore, with the potential to drive growth across our organization and for our dealers."

Experienced Industry Leadership

Anthony Brennan joins Explore Industries in Business Development Director (Packaged Pools) following a 40-year career with Imperial Pools. Most recently, he served as CEO of Imperial Pools, Saratoga Spas and The Vinyl Works. Throughout his career, he has built extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution, leadership and business development while helping guide those businesses through changing industry conditions and periods of significant growth.

Greg Wille joins Explore Industries as General Manager (Packaged Pools), bringing 23 years of pool industry experience spanning service, construction, retail, distribution and manufacturing. He most recently served as Chief of Staff at Imperial Pools and previously spent 10 years working alongside Explore Industries Chief Sales Officer Mike Kennedy.

"Entering a new category successfully requires more than great products; it requires people who understand the industry, understand dealers and know how to build a business for the long term," said Mike Kennedy, Chief Sales Officer of Explore Industries. "Anthony and Greg bring an extraordinary depth of experience to Explore. Anthony's leadership and four decades of industry knowledge, combined with Greg's broad operational experience and understanding of virtually every side of the pool business, give us an exceptional team to help build this venture. I am thrilled to be working with both of them."

The addition of Anthony Brennan and Greg Wille brings deep packaged pool experience to Explore Industries' highly accomplished team. The combination of their industry expertise with Explore's strong dealer relationships, manufacturing capabilities and commitment to product excellence creates a powerful foundation for success in the packaged pool market.

"Our goal isn't simply to enter another category," Pain added. "It's to bring something meaningful to it. We believe our experience, our people and our commitment to dealers put us in a strong position to do exactly that."

RateSecure Takes a New Approach to Financing Silicon Valley's Complex Wealth

Silicon Valley lender is building a private-bank-style mortgage platform for founders, self-employed entrepreneurs, business owners and high-net-worth borrowers who don't fit traditional agency underwriting

DANVILLE, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As Non-QM mortgage lending continues to expand, RateSecure sees the market separating into two distinct segments: traditional alternative-credit lending and a private-bank-style approach designed for financially strong borrowers with complex income and wealth profiles.

"There are really two Non-QM markets emerging — traditional alternative-credit lending and private-bank-style lending for wealthy borrowers," said Gurp Bhandal, Founder and CPO of RateSecure. "We built RateSecure around the second."

For RateSecure, this is often a documentation gap, not a credit gap.

"Traditional mortgage underwriting works well for borrowers with predictable W-2 income, but entrepreneurship creates a different financial profile," said Sam Bhandal, President and CEO of RateSecure. "A successful business owner shouldn't become a difficult mortgage borrower simply because their income doesn't fit neatly into a conventional calculation."

For many self-employed borrowers, legitimate business deductions, reinvestment and multiple income sources can complicate qualification without necessarily indicating weaker financial strength.

Private-Bank Thinking at Silicon Valley Speed

Understanding a complex borrower is only part of the equation. In Silicon Valley's ultra-competitive housing market, execution matters just as much as loan structure.

RateSecure is built to close complex loans in less than 10 days, giving founders, entrepreneurs and business owners the ability to compete on speed alongside borrowers with traditional W-2 income.

Complex wealth shouldn't put a buyer at a competitive disadvantage.

"When a family finds the right home, the complexity of how they've built their wealth shouldn't be the reason they lose it," Gurp Bhandal said. "Our job is to understand the borrower, structure the financing correctly and execute at the speed the market demands."

A Different Evolution of Non-QM

RateSecure believes the growth of self-employment, entrepreneurship and complex personal wealth is changing the role Non-QM plays in the mortgage industry.

Historically, Non-QM has often been viewed as an alternative for borrowers unable to qualify for conventional financing. RateSecure believes that definition increasingly misses an important part of the market.

"Non-QM isn't simply about borrowers who can't qualify conventionally," Gurp Bhandal said. "There's a growing segment of financially strong borrowers who simply need a more sophisticated way to document income and wealth."

For RateSecure, those borrowers aren't exceptions to its lending model. They are the reason the model exists.

"We're building a mortgage company around founders, entrepreneurs, business owners and high-net-worth borrowers," Sam Bhandal said. "The goal is to bring the level of understanding and individualized structuring associated with private banking into a modern mortgage platform."
