Phrozen Launches Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX: Go Big, Stay Precise, Print Without Interruption

The new 14-inch 16K resin printer is designed to help creators, studios, and service providers take on larger, longer jobs with steadier print conditions, fewer mid-print interruptions, clearer remote visibility, and faster turnaround between prints.

HSINCHU, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Phrozen, a Taiwan-based 3D printing brand known for high-resolution resin 3D printers, today introduced the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX, a 14-inch 16K large-format MSLA resin 3D printer designed to make large, high-detail printing more stable, manageable, and production-ready. Built for creators, studios, print service providers, and users moving into larger-format resin printing, the Revo MAX combines large-format capacity with workflow-focused upgrades for long prints, batch production, and daily maintenance.

As resin printing moves from one-off models to larger parts, full build-plate batches, and more production-sensitive work such as jewelry patterns and functional prototypes, large-format printing has become a practical need for small studios and professional users. But larger prints also raise the cost of failure: long print times, temperature changes, resin refills, maintenance downtime, and limited remote visibility can all interrupt a job. To address these workflow risks, the Revo MAX brings together dual heating, a large 2L resin vat, quick-release maintenance, 1080p AI-enhanced monitoring, Phrozen GO app control, and a broader large-format printing ecosystem, helping users keep longer jobs moving with steadier conditions, clearer visibility, and faster turnaround between prints.

Dual Heating for More Stable Long Prints

The Revo MAX is designed to maintain a more consistent printing environment during long resin prints, especially in colder rooms or when working with high-viscosity engineering resins. Its dual-fan chamber heating system quickly brings the chamber up to 30°C. For users who need greater resin temperature stability, the optional heated resin vat directly heats the resin, helping reduce thickening and promote more even resin flow after each lift. This improves layer consistency from the first layer to the last and helps reduce the risk of failure during long prints.

A 2L Resin Vat Designed to Reduce Mid-Print Refills

The Revo MAX features a large 2L resin vat that can hold up to 2.5 standard 1 kg bottles resin, giving users more capacity for overnight prints, full build-plate batches, and larger models. With more resin available from the start, users are less likely to pause or interrupt a print to refill the vat, which helps reduce the chance of mistakes during long jobs. The larger vat also keeps the setup simpler than auto-feed pumps and tubes, helping users avoid clogs, loose tubing, leaks, and extra cleanup.

All-Metal Angled Build Plate and Quick-Release Components for Faster Maintenance

The Revo MAX uses an all-metal build plate with an angled top surface that helps leftover resin drain off naturally after printing. This reduces the need for manual scraping and cleanup, making it easier to move from one job to the next. For routine maintenance, the build plate, release film, and LCD are all designed for quick removal or replacement. The quick-swap LCD can be removed and replaced with minimal downtime, while the release film can be changed without screws in about three minutes. Together, these features help shorten maintenance downtime and keep the printer ready for continuous studio use.

1080p and AI-Enhanced Camera Monitoring for Greater Peace of Mind

Many large-format resin printers rely on lower-resolution or horizontally positioned cameras that can make it harder to see the full build area during printing. The Revo MAX takes a different approach with a vertically mounted 1080p camera designed to give users a clearer view of large prints in progress. UV-free amber LED lighting brightens the chamber without exposing the resin to curing light, while AI color correction helps the image look more natural and easier to read. Whether users are checking an overnight print, reviewing time-lapse footage, or simply making sure a long job is still running smoothly, the monitoring system lets them look in whenever they need and print with greater confidence without staying beside the machine.

Phrozen GO App Control for Long Jobs and Multi-Printer Workflows

With the Phrozen GO app, users can control and monitor their Revo MAX from their mobile devices, including starting, pausing, resuming, and checking print jobs remotely. The app also supports live camera viewing, time-lapse review, alerts, and multi-printer management, giving users a clearer way to stay updated across long prints or multiple machines. For overnight jobs, studio production, or print-service workflows, this reduces the need to stay beside each printer while still keeping users informed when attention is needed.

A Complete Large-Format Printing Workflow

For users building a complete large-format resin printing setup, the Revo MAX is designed to fit into a full workflow from file preparation to finished part. After printing, Wash Mega S supports large-format model cleaning without manual agitation, while Cure Mega S provides consistent curing for larger resin prints. Air Purifier Max helps manage resin odor in the workspace, and the 3D Printer Enclosure Mega supports a more controlled printing environment. On the software side, users can source printable 3D models through PIXUP platform and continue working with major resin 3D printing slicers such as CHITUBOX and Lychee Slicer, keeping the workflow connected from model sourcing and slicing to printing, cleaning, curing, and workspace management.

"For many users, moving into larger resin prints is exciting, but it also raises the stakes with longer print times, more resin, and more chances for interruption," said Ray Wu, CEO of Phrozen. "With the Revo MAX, our goal is to reduce those points of uncertainty, from heating and resin capacity to monitoring and maintenance, so users can build a large-format printing workflow they can trust."

Availability

The Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX is now available in the United States, priced at USD 1,600. A Super Early Bird offer is live for a limited time, taking 20% off — shop now. More product information is available at https://phrozen3d.net/W0c4g

The winning team will be awarded a once in a lifetime trip to Brazil for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™. Together, Dove, Kylie Kelce and soccer legends like Mia Hamm and Alyssa Thompson hope to #KeepHerConfident by showing one team firsthand what they can achieve by staying in the game.

Key Takeaways:

See Official Rules for complete Grand Prize details.

Why Dove is Working to Keep Girls in Sports

The campaign builds on the broader Dove commitment to help keep girls confident and in the game, after Dove research found 1 in 2 girls who quit sports have been criticized for their body type. Dove Body Confident Sport is a free, evidence-based program from the Dove Self-Esteem Project designed to give coaches the tools to build body confidence among girls ages 11-17 and help create more supportive sports environments.

"Girls deserve to experience everything sports can provide them: joy, confidence, connection and belonging. Through Dove Body Confident Sport and the Dove Self-Esteem Project, we're helping give coaches and families tools to keep girls confident and in the game. As an official sponsor of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™, we're excited to celebrate the teams already creating that kind of environment and give them an inspiring experience they'll never forget," said Melissa Grevstad, Head of Purpose, Dove US.

"Sports can give girls so much - friendship, confidence, teamwork, and memories that stay with them for life - but that only happens when they feel supported enough to keep playing. As a coach, I love that this campaign shines a light on girls' sports teams that show up for each other to remind girls everywhere that they belong on the field exactly as they are," said Kylie Kelce, longtime Dove partner, mom of four and coach.

For many girls, sports can be a source of joy, confidence, community, and belonging. But appearance pressure and body criticism can also affect whether girls feel comfortable staying in the game. Join Dove and visit Dove.com/bodyconfidentsport to help keep her playing with confidence. For more details and official entry rules on how to enter Back Her Game visit unileversweepsrules.com/dovecontest.

About the Dove Research

Dove commissioned this survey to expose the reality of girls' experience in sports and the impact it has on their confidence, as well as the drivers behind girls dropping out and potential solutions.

We asked 4,917 children of different ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds in Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and US to take part in a 15-minute online survey.

The study included 3,506 girls aged between 9-17 years old (approximately 500 from each country) and 1,391 boys aged 9-17 years old (approximately 200 from each country) who had the consent of a parent or legal guardian to take part.

For many girls, sports can be a source of joy, confidence, community, and belonging. But appearance pressure and body criticism can also affect whether girls feel comfortable staying in the game. As International Day of the Girl approaches on October 11, Back Her Game underscores the importance of helping girls build confidence and stay in sports.

Community Outreach Program Urges Motorists to Share the Road with Farm Equipment During Fall Harvest

Maryland Soybean Board's Find Me Driving campaign reminds drivers to slow down as harvest activity increases on rural roads

CORDOVA, Md., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As Maryland's fall harvest gets underway, motorists can expect to encounter more slow-moving farm equipment on rural roads, often during early morning and evening hours when visibility may be reduced. As nightfall arrives earlier, combines, tractors and grain trucks continue moving between fields well after sunset. These farm vehicles are sharing roads with motorists who may not be prepared for slow-moving equipment in low-light conditions. The Maryland Soybean Board and its "Find Me Driving" campaign are calling on all drivers to adjust accordingly: slow down, assess your surroundings and move with caution.

Harvest season intensifies road conditions in two critical ways. First, earlier sunsets result in more farm equipment on public roads during low-light hours, reducing visibility for both drivers and farmers. Second, seasonal activity significantly increases the volume of slow-moving vehicles on those same roads — meaning the chances of encountering a combine or grain truck around any bend are higher.

Farm equipment is built for the field, not for speed. Under Maryland law, vehicles designed to travel at 25 mph or less generally must display a slow-moving vehicle emblem when operating on a highway. The fluorescent orange-and-red triangle alerts motorists that they are approaching a vehicle traveling at a significantly lower speed.

"Right now, we're moving equipment from field to field every single day during the harvest, often from before dawn until after dark. Fewer daylight hours make those hours even trickier," said Tyler Rill of Lippy Brothers Farms. "Drivers have busy schedules too. But easing off the gas, staying alert, and giving us a little extra room helps every one of us get home safely."

"From September through November is when our roads see a high volume of slow-moving farm equipment during the fall harvest," said Danielle Bauer, Executive Director of the Maryland Soybean Board. "Farmers are working relentlessly to get crops out of the field, all while navigating roads that are busy and dark. Our Find Me Driving campaign and our mascot SAM® are here to remind every driver that awareness and patience are what keep both farmers and motorists safe during this crucial stretch."

The campaign's mascot, SAM®, is a friendly cartoon slow-moving vehicle sign whose name doubles as a simple safety checklist: Slow down. Assess your surroundings. Move with caution.

When approaching farm equipment, motorists should slow down early, increase following distance, and avoid passing unless it is legal and there is enough clear roadway to do so safely. Drivers should also remember that farm equipment may be wider than a travel lane and may need additional room to make turns or enter and exit fields.

"These three easy steps can lead to a safer harvest for farmers and all motorists," Bauer adds.

With more than 12,600 farms statewide, Maryland's agricultural industry plays an important role in communities across the state. During harvest season, farmers are working long hours to bring in the crops that help feed Maryland families and communities. That work often requires moving large, slow-moving equipment between fields using the same rural roads motorists travel every day. A little patience and extra caution behind the wheel can help ensure everyone gets where they're going safely.

For more information on farm equipment road safety during fall harvest time, visit FindMeDriving.com or follow Find Me Driving on social platforms.

HOTWORX® Surpasses 900 Studios as Infrared Fitness Franchise Closes In on 1,000 Locations
Image File

Franchise system tops 900 open locations and 400,000 members as owner-driven growth and new market entries set up the final push to 1,000

NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- HOTWORX®, the pioneering 24-hour infrared sauna fitness franchise, has surpassed 900 open studios worldwide, marking one of the fastest expansions in boutique fitness franchising and putting the brand within striking distance of 1,000 locations. The milestone comes as HOTWORX serves more than 400,000 members across the United States, Canada, Ireland and Dubai, with studios in development in Mexico and Kenya.

The 900-studio milestone marks a year of expansion driven by the brand's owner pipeline, a first-time entry into Alaska and the largest wave of technology development in company history, all leading up to reaching 1,000 open locations.

HOTWORX Accelerates Toward 1,000 Locations

HOTWORX opened its first studio in 2017. Crossing 900 locations positions the brand to reach 1,000 open studios by spring 2027, roughly a decade since opening the brand's first location in Oxford, Miss.

Much of that growth has come from inside the system as a majority of HOTWORX franchisees joined the brand as members first, converting from the workout floor to ownership. The company credits this pipeline with producing operators who understand the member experience before they ever sign a franchise agreement.

"Crossing 900 studios and 408,693 members in the same year tells us the model is working at scale," said Stephen P. Smith, Founder and CEO of HOTWORX. "Most of our owners were members first and they bet on infrared training because they experienced it first-hand and fell in love with the workout. Reaching 1,000 is our next milestone, but the real goal is continuing to make the experience better as we grow."

Alaska Debut Extends the Map

HOTWORX entered Alaska for the first time in 2026 through a multi-unit development agreement for four studios across the market led by franchisees Tracey Pidge and Ciara Boyce. The first of those studios, in Wasilla, officially opened in August.

The Alaska entry adds to a footprint that has expanded steadily across North America, Europe and the Middle East, with Mexico representing the brand's next international market debut. Additional development opportunities remain available across both established and emerging U.S. markets.

A Model Built to Scale

2026 has delivered the brand's largest wave of product and technology development to date, much of it centered on the HOTWORX Burn Off App and designed to strengthen the member experience while keeping studio operations lean for owners:

- TrainingTRAX: an AI-powered personal training system launched in April for Sweat Elite members, generating customized 90-day plans built around infrared sauna sessions and FX Zone resistance training.

- SCAN24/7: the Square-powered retail system that lets members scan and purchase pro shop merchandise directly in the app, keeping every studio pro shop open around the clock without an attendant.

- INFO ZONE: introduced in June as a 24/7 in-app knowledge hub explaining the science behind infrared exercise, recovery, nutrition and performance.

- AI Coach Chat and the Burn Rate™ algorithm: always-available guidance paired with a proprietary measurement system that calculates a member's fitness trajectory based on how efficiently they burn calories over time.

- The revised Silent Trainer: an updated virtual coaching experience in the FX Zone as functional training continues to grow in member demand.

"People are looking for a system that tells them what to do next and why it works," added Smith. "That is what this year of innovation has been about. TrainingTRAX, INFO ZONE and SCAN24/7 all make the 24-hour studio more self-sufficient for the member and for the franchise owner."

National Recognition

The brand's growth has drawn a series of national honors this year:

- No. 58 on Entrepreneur's 2026 Franchise 500® — a 37-spot jump from No. 95 in 2025.

- No. 3 fitness franchise and top-ranked boutique fitness brand in Entrepreneur's inaugural Top 10 Industry Franchise Rankings.

- Debut on the Inc. 5000 at No. 4,100, recognizing the fastest-growing private companies in America.

- Stephen P. Smith named a 2026 Most Admired C-Suite Executive by New Orleans CityBusiness, an honor named in the brand's home city.

The Road Ahead

"We have opened a new state, launched the biggest technology upgrade in our history and climbed nearly 40 spots on the Franchise 500, and we still have a quarter of the year in front of us," said Smith. "The goal is no longer to prove that infrared fitness belongs in the conversation; we've done that. It is to define the category outright."

Outdoor Living Expert Klint Reiber Explains the Value of a Design-Build Team in HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

The article explains how a unified design-build team can help homeowners address weather, terrain, construction needs, and long-term outdoor living goals.

LOUISVILLE, Colo., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What helps homeowners in Boulder County feel confident when creating an outdoor living space that stands up to the region's weather and fits their long-term needs? That question is answered in a HelloNation article featuring insights from Klint Reiber of Colorado Custom Decks & Mosaic Outdoor Living in Louisville. The feature explains how working with a design-build team protects the homeowner from challenges involving terrain, climate, and technical construction demands. It also shows how a unified team supports comfort, structure, and long-term value throughout every step of the process.

The article begins by noting that Boulder County's weather, terrain, and building expectations make outdoor projects more complex than they appear, and nearby Broomfield experiences many of the same challenges. Winds shift across foothills, drainage patterns change during storms, and elevation differences influence how spaces should be built. A unified team anticipates these conditions early and guides homeowners toward choices that hold up across seasons.

The feature explains that Boulder County includes a wide range of properties, from compact suburban lots to steep hillside sites, a pattern also seen in nearby North Arvada. Each property influences how an outdoor environment should be designed. A design-build team studies the land early to learn how weather interacts with the home and how families move between indoor and outdoor spaces. These insights shape decisions about layout, materials, and year-round comfort. Because the same team manages both design and construction, these details stay consistent from the first drawings to the final installation.

Communication becomes one of the strongest benefits of the design-build approach. Homeowners often describe what they want in broad terms, such as a covered structure or a modern deck, but they may not know which systems support those goals in Boulder County's climate or in nearby communities such as Westminster. A design-build team listens and explains the real differences between composite decking, steel framing, or heavy-duty shade structures. This guidance prevents choices that look appealing but fail under local conditions. Clear communication builds confidence, and confident homeowners make better long-term decisions.

The article also notes that a design-build team protects the homeowner's vision. Projects can drift when designers and builders operate separately. The design may call for one solution while the construction team builds another. A unified team avoids this problem because design ideas, material plans, and structural decisions come from the same group. This creates a cohesive outdoor environment where every element works together. A cohesive process keeps the project aligned with both the aesthetic goals and the practical needs of the home.

Budget clarity is another advantage. Outdoor living projects in Boulder County can include engineered structures, drainage work, or custom features that require specialized installation. A design-build team understands these costs early and helps homeowners choose elements that provide long-term value. Honest conversations about durability, performance, and maintenance protect the homeowner from surprises. When the budget is respected, the project stays steady and predictable.

Year-round comfort shapes many design decisions. Boulder County's weather changes quickly, so outdoor environments must support daily life across all seasons. A design-build team studies wind exposure, sun angles, and temperature swings to choose systems that keep the space usable. Some families benefit from glass walls for shelter, while others need custom roof structures or super-duty shades. These features require engineering and detailed planning, and a unified team ensures that these technical choices match the overall design intent.

Outdoor kitchens and custom fire features depend heavily on design-build oversight. These features require ventilation, safety planning, and coordinated utility work. When one team manages both the design and the installation, these elements work smoothly and safely. This consistency gives homeowners peace of mind and allows them to enjoy cooking or gathering outdoors without worrying about structural or safety issues.

The article highlights another key strength of the design-build process: responsibility remains with one team from start to finish. If questions arise during construction or after the first season of use, the same team understands the design, materials, and installation details. Homeowners do not need to contact multiple companies or explain the project history several times. The design-build team can adjust, repair, or refine the environment because they know how every part was constructed, which benefits homeowners across Boulder County and in northern communities such as Timnath.

Working with a design-build team in Boulder County creates stability during a complex process. The region demands outdoor environments that handle wind, weather, and long-term use while also supporting comfort and architectural harmony. When one team manages the project from initial vision to final completion, the homeowner receives a space that reflects their goals, fits the property, and holds long-term value.

Working With a Design-Build Team in Boulder County That Values Your Outdoor Space features insights from Klint Reiber, Outdoor Living Expert of Louisville, CO, in HelloNation.

BAE Systems Australia and Skyryse Partner to Advance Software-Defined Autonomous Flight

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. and ADELAIDE, South Australia, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Skyryse, the creator of SkyOS™, the world's first universal operating system for flight, and BAE Systems Australia, today announced a strategic partnership to advance software-defined autonomous flight applications.

The partnership brings together SkyOS, Skyryse's universal operating system for flight, with BAE Systems Australia's Vehicle Management System (VMS), which powers several advanced autonomous platforms, including in the land and air domains. Together, the companies will evaluate the integration of their technologies to pursue government, commercial and defense opportunities for next-generation rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.

SkyOS replaces conventional mechanical flight control systems with a software-defined architecture that supports piloted, optionally piloted, and autonomous flight within a single certifiable platform. Through the partnership, SkyOS will serve as the preferred flight operating system for joint projects with BAE Systems Australia.

"As government, commercial, and defense sectors look to modernize existing fleets while accelerating the adoption of autonomous capabilities, software is becoming the defining technology in aviation," said Mark Groden, founder and CEO of Skyryse. "SkyOS is uniquely positioned because it combines human-rated flight software with autonomous capabilities in a certifiable, software-defined platform. Together with BAE Systems Australia, we're exploring how that foundation can enable the next generation of optionally piloted and autonomous aircraft, including future clean-sheet designs."

"Partnering with Skyryse allows BAE Systems Australia to build on more than 40 years of experience developing sovereign autonomy technologies through our Vehicle Management System, while expanding opportunities in the rapidly evolving autonomous aircraft market," said Andrew Gresham, Managing Director of Defence Delivery at BAE Systems Australia. "Together, Skyryse's software-defined SkyOS and BAE Systems Australia's Vehicle Management System bring complementary capabilities that can help deliver the next generation of optionally piloted and autonomous aircraft for government and commercial customers."

The partnership reflects a broader shift toward software-defined aviation, where certifiable flight software enables both the modernization of existing aircraft and the development of next-generation autonomous platforms. Together, Skyryse and BAE Systems Australia plan to pursue opportunities spanning piloted, optionally piloted, and fully autonomous aircraft.

DECKED Finds That Skilled Trade Workers Love Their Work, Incur Less Debt, but Feel Overlooked
Image File
Original HTML

- 94% of tradespeople report job satisfaction, yet 78% say Americans undervalue the trades

- Trade workers reach financial break-even at age 19 versus 26 for bachelor's degree holders, with lifetime earnings landing within 12%

- Findings anchor DECKED's new Built for Those Who Build campaign, launching with Builder's Day at their factory in Defiance, Ohio, on Sept. 30

KETCHUM, Idaho, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DECKED is launching Built for Those Who Build, a new campaign centered around uplifting workers in skilled trades. To do so, DECKED commissioned two pieces of research to document the current state and feelings within the industry. The research included an economic analysis comparing a career path in the trades with a four-year college degree, as well as a proprietary survey of 500 tradespeople.

The findings from these studies are the impetus for DECKED's new campaign, which is designed to highlight skilled trades as a respected and in-demand career path. This is especially important because more than two million trade jobs are projected to remain unfilled by 2030.

The campaign will include a new video series designed to honor different trade professions, outreach to local schools to encourage participation in the trades, and a Builder's Day event on Sept. 30 at DECKED's manufacturing facility in Defiance, Ohio, celebrating the blue-collar workers who give it their all every day.

"Built for Those Who Build isn't just a campaign. It's who we are. Tradespeople built DECKED, and nearly every other blue-collar brand out there," said Bill Banta, CEO of DECKED. "Their work has gone undervalued for too long. We're changing that with this campaign. "

DECKED's economic trajectory study compares the earnings of skilled trades (electricians, HVAC, plumbing) to those of full-time bachelor's degree holders. The results show that a career in the trades offers a significantly faster route to positive net investment and lower debt exposure, with lifetime earnings close to those of bachelor's degree holders. Key findings from this study include:

- Skilled trades workers reach a financial break-even point by age 19 versus age 26 for bachelor's degree holders, nearly seven years earlier.

- The total real cost of entering a trade ranges from $13,151 (HVAC) to $15,417 (electricians), versus $220,081 for a bachelor's degree (including interest).

- Average trade school debt at graduation ranges from $1,716 (plumbing) to $2,558 (HVAC), versus $30,364 for bachelor's grads.

- Only 22–27% of trade students borrow at all, versus 85% of bachelor's grads.

- Despite the enormous cost gap, lifetime earnings land within 12% of one another: $3,121,166 in average lifetime earnings for skilled trades versus $3,538,284 for bachelor's degree holders.

- Union skilled-trades pensions average $788,749 at retirement (age 62), versus $572,563 in average employer 401(k) contributions for bachelor's degree holders.

- Skilled trades employment is projected to grow 7% from 2024 to 2034, more than double the 3% average across all occupations.

In addition, DECKED surveyed tradespeople across construction, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical industries. Some of the key findings include:

- 94% report job satisfaction, yet 78% believe Americans undervalue the trades.

- 83% of tradespeople say their jobs cannot be replaced by AI.

- Median pay nearly doubled from respondents' entry into the workforce to today: hourly wages up 89% (to $34/hr) and salaries up 95% (to $75,000).

- Nearly 3 in 4 (73%) tradespeople graduate debt-free. Of those who borrowed, 83% paid off their trade school loans within 3 years.

- 44% of tradespeople believe they could not have achieved the same financial milestones (homeownership, emergency savings, living debt-free) had they gone the traditional college route instead.

- Physical strain (51%) and fear that an injury could halt their ability to work (50%) were identified as the leading challenges of a career in the trades, far outranking concerns over earning potential.

DECKED will publish the survey results and economic comparison study in full later this month, along with a recap of Builder's Day on decked.com. For now, a preview of the Built for Those Who Build video series is available on the brand's Instagram and YouTube channels.

Whistleblower Law Collaborative Adds Former DOJ Senior Health Care Fraud Counsel Augustine M. Ripa
Image File

12-year Justice Department veteran brings deep health care fraud enforcement experience to the whistleblower firm

BOSTON, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Whistleblower Law Collaborative LLC (WLC), a firm dedicated to representing whistleblowers nationwide under the False Claims Act and other whistleblower rewards programs, today announced that Augustine M. (Augie) Ripa is joining the firm as a partner, effective September 28.

Ripa spent 12 years with the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Fraud Section, which handles False Claims Act matters nationwide in partnership with the 94 U.S. Attorney's Offices. There, he investigated and prosecuted dozens of False Claims Act matters, recovering more than $2.1 billion, primarily involving health care fraud. As Senior Counsel for Health Care Fraud, he also supervised DOJ attorneys on numerous health care cases, served as a go-to resource for his office and Assistant U.S. Attorneys on complex fraud schemes and investigative strategies and advised leadership on health care FCA enforcement policy issues. Ripa regularly led trainings for DOJ attorneys and AUSAs nationwide, including the Department's annual Civil Health Care Fraud training conference for new attorneys.

During his time at the DOJ, Ripa was instrumental in conceiving, establishing, and managing its current health care data analytics capabilities. He served as a DOJ participant in the FOCUS Initiative, designed to strengthen DOJ's working relationship with whistleblowers on data analytics. He was also a key participant on the new DOJ/HHS FCA working group, which is dedicated to combating health care fraud through FCA enforcement.

"We are honored and thrilled that Augie has chosen to join Whistleblower Law Collaborative," said firm co-founder Suzanne E. Durrell. "He brings valuable and robust experience as a government prosecutor and shares our passion for fighting fraud and bringing wrongdoers to justice. Augie will strengthen our ability to continue achieving outstanding results in this complex, ever-changing area of the law while supporting our courageous clients every step of the way. As former government attorneys ourselves, we look forward to welcoming Augie on board and forging future successes together."

At WLC, Ripa will focus his practice on health care False Claims Act matters, with a particular interest in cases predicated on pharmaceutical pricing violations, including underpayment of Medicaid rebates, misreporting of Medicare or Medicaid pricing data, and mischaracterization of price concessions, as well as Anti-Kickback Statute violations and FDA/regulatory approval issues. That experience comes as government scrutiny of pharmaceutical pricing continues to expand in legacy pricing programs and those created or broadened by the Inflation Reduction Act.

"I knew that if I ever contemplated leaving government service, it would be for a firm known for fighting fraud by bringing complex whistleblower cases that have a broad impact," said Ripa. "Whistleblower Law Collaborative attracts those cases, does the necessary and invaluable investigative work, and provides the experience that the government can leverage to hold wrongdoers accountable. That's why when an opportunity with WLC came up, I knew I had to take it."

A Career Built on Complex, High-Impact Health Care Fraud Cases

Ripa's casework at DOJ included:

- Over $1.0 billion recovered in numerous government cases alleging that multiple drug companies paid kickbacks through sham third-party foundations to eliminate patient and doctor price sensitivity while raising drug prices for Medicare. In 2019, he and his DOJ colleagues filed the government's first complaint advancing this theory and secured the first federal court opinion unequivocally endorsing it as a basis for liability under the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute.

- Over $700 million recovered while serving as lead DOJ attorney on high-profile cases against multiple drug companies alleging that they defrauded the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program of rebates owed as a result of their own price increases, including $465 million from Mylan over its alleged misclassification of EpiPen (United States ex rel. Sanofi-Aventis US LLC v. Mylan), $260 million from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals over its alleged underpayment of Medicaid rebates for Acthar Gel (United States ex rel. Landolt v. Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals) and up to $50 million from Nostrum for underpaying rebates on its drug nitrofurantoin, a matter that led to the exclusion of the company's CEO from the Medicare program (In re: Nostrum Nitrofurantoin Medicaid Rebates). These matters also led to subsequent regulatory and legislative action to safeguard the programs at issue.

- A $250 million settlement, among the largest of its kind at the time, resolving allegations of a urine drug testing kickback scheme at a laboratory (United States ex rel. McGuire v. Millennium).

- A $41 million settlement resolving allegations of duplicative urine drug testing against a reference laboratory and two individuals (United States ex rel. Cho v. Surgery Partners).

Ripa's work also spanned a wide range of federal health care programs and pricing schemes, including Medicare Part C and Part D, the 340B program, pharmacy benefit managers, and government pricing metrics such as Average Manufacturer Price, Best Price, and Average Sales Price.

During his tenure at DOJ, Ripa received multiple departmental honors, including the DOJ Division Special Commendation, a prestigious internal award for outstanding service, exemplary performance and dedication in representing the interests of the United States. He also received the HHS-OIG Inspector General's Award for Excellence in Fighting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse, and an FBI Certificate of Appreciation.

Prior to joining the DOJ to fight civil fraud, Ripa spent six years in private practice representing clients in FCA and white-collar defense matters, including as an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP. He also maintained an active pro bono practice in public-interest impact litigation and representing individuals through sensitive and difficult circumstances.

Ripa earned his J.D. with honors from The George Washington University Law School and his B.S. and B.A. with high honors from Lehigh University.
