Yili Shares China's Whole-Value-Chain Dairy Symbiosis Model at FAO Global Conference

ROME, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Yili Group presented a China-based model for whole-value-chain symbiosis at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations' (FAO) inaugural Global Conference for Actions on One Health in Agrifood Systems. One Health seeks to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems, while RENOFARM is FAO's 10-year global initiative launched in 2024. Speaking at the "RENOFARM in Action" session, Yili Group Vice President XU Ke outlined three stories showing how healthy ecosystems, precision farming and shared growth can reinforce one another across the dairy value chain.

Turning Desert into Oasis Through Nature Restoration

In Ar Horqin Banner, Inner Mongolia, China, land degradation once posed a persistent challenge for local herders. XU Ke said Yili developed a grass-livestock integration approach aligned with local conditions and natural processes. Planting protein-rich, deep-rooted alfalfa helped stabilize soil and restore 55,000 mu, or about 3,667 hectares, of degraded grassland. The renewed landscape now supports ecosystem recovery while supplying high-quality forage, creating a cycle in which grass restores the land, the land sustains cattle and dairy farming contributes back to the ecosystem.

Better Cow Welfare, Better Dairy Farming

In dairy farming, improving animal welfare through science-based management remains a key industry priority. The team at Yili's Chilechuan Ecological Smart Farm has upgraded its whole-life-cycle cow health and welfare farming technologies. Automated temperature control, IoT-enabled health monitoring and precision nutrition tailored to each growth stage help safeguard the quality of raw milk.

Yili has received FAO's Contribution Award for Social Responsibility on multiple occasions for its animal welfare and precision farming practices. In 2026, FAO named Chilechuan Ecological Smart Farm a RENOFARM Farm 5Gs Pilot Champion.

Increasing Herder Incomes, Sharing the Gains

Herders in several Chinese provinces once faced challenges including low milk yields, limited technical capacity and weak returns. In 2014, Yili and FAO established Dairy Farmer Field Schools, bringing regular, hands-on training directly to farms. Yili specialists help herders identify cow-health risks, optimize feed rations and develop tailored farm-upgrade plans, backed by funding and technical support.

Over more than a decade, Yili has helped 5,600,000 herders in Inner Mongolia increase their incomes, while the scale of dairy farming expanded more than tenfold and daily milk output doubled.

"Prosperity is not a solo, but a symphony," said Pan Gang, chairman of Yili Group. Guided by One Health, Yili will deepen cooperation with FAO and industry partners worldwide to advance high-quality development across the global dairy sector and agrifood systems, supporting healthier people, animals and ecosystems.

NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ --

Why: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of common stock of The Simply Good Foods Company (NASDAQ: SMPL) between October 24, 2024 and April 8, 2026, inclusive (the "Class Period"), of the important October 13, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline.

So what: If you purchased Simply Good Foods common stock during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement.

What to do next: To join the Simply Good Foods class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/the-simply-good-foods-company/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than October 13, 2026. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation.

Why Rosen Law: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.

Details of the case: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Simply Good Foods had lost key managerial personnel following the acquisition of Only What You Need, Inc. ("OWYN") necessary for the successful integration of the acquired OWYN assets, impairing Simply Good Foods' ability to achieve the acquisition's purported strategic initiatives and financial and operational targets; (2) Simply Good Foods had materially increased its general and administrative spending to compensate for the loss of key managerial personnel, leading to an inefficient and bloated organizational structure and the lack of clear and cohesive strategic priorities for its OWYN segment; (3) the addition of a new pea protein supplier for OWYN formulations prior to the acquisition had created significant product quality issues which had negatively impacted the taste, texture, and shelf-life of OWYN products, leading to negative product reviews, depressed consumer sales, and the loss of important distributor relationships; (4) in an effort to boost sales in the short-term, Simply Good Foods had offered discounts and engaged in other promotional activities for OWYN products above its historical practices, eroding Simply Good Foods' margins but failing to achieve the desired sales turnaround; (5) in order to stem the margin erosion being suffered in its OWYN segment, Simply Good Foods had cut brand support and marketing for OWYN, further depressing product sales; and (6) as a result of the above, the OWYN acquisition had largely failed to achieve its key strategic goals, the integration of OWYN had run into severe operational and execution problems, and the business and operational results for Simply Good Foods' OWYN segment had been materially negatively impacted, undermining the acquisition's economic rationale. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

To join the Simply Good Foods class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/the-simply-good-foods-company/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action.

SEEKOUT Moves Beyond Japan into North America and Europe, Accelerating Global Push in Premium Pet Market

Premium pet mobility company builds on export experience in Japan to expand into international markets

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Premium pet mobility company SEEKOUT is expanding its business into global markets, including North America and Europe, building on the export experience it has accumulated in Japan.

The global pet industry has seen a growing range of products designed to improve the mobility and daily comfort of companion animals. As more consumers travel and pursue outdoor activities with their pets, interest has grown in pet mobility and travel products that combine safety, convenience, and design.

SEEKOUT develops and manufactures premium pet mobility and lifestyle fabric gear based on its own design IP and product planning capabilities. Through in-house design research, the company has strengthened its product competitiveness by applying ergonomic, load-distributing structures along with water-repellent, durable fabrics.

In particular, the company plans to leverage its experience directly exporting premium pet strollers to Japan — a market known for its high standards for product quality — as a foundation for its global expansion.

SEEKOUT is also broadening its product portfolio with a global market in mind. In addition to its existing pet travel products for dogs, the company is adding cat-specific carriers and related items designed around feline characteristics, building out a pet mobility lineup that covers both dogs and cats.

SEEKOUT plans to participate in major overseas trade shows in the first half of 2027 to expand its network of global B2B buyers. The company is treating overseas exhibitions not merely as venues for product introduction, but as opportunities to identify new buyers, gauge local market response, and expand distribution partnerships.

Through these efforts, SEEKOUT aims to diversify its distribution channels beyond Japan into the global premium pet market — including North America and Europe — while growing both its D2C business and B2B distribution.

"Building on the experience we've gained in the Japanese market, we plan to actively promote SEEKOUT's product competitiveness to overseas consumers and buyers," a SEEKOUT representative said. "We will continue to advance our pet mobility technology and product planning capabilities across both dogs and cats, expanding our brand presence in the global market."

Innovent Announces Expansion of Global Phase 3 MarsLight-11 Study of IBI363/TAK-928 (Alpha-biased IL-2/PD-1 Bispecific Fusion Protein) in Immunotherapy-Resistant NSCLC to Include Patients with Non-Squamous NSCLC

SAN FRANCISCO and SUZHOU, China, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovent Biologics, Inc. (HKEX Stock Code: 01801), a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of innovative drugs for major diseases including oncology, autoimmune, metabolic, and ophthalmic diseases, announces expansion of the global Phase 3 MarsLight-11 (NCT07217301) trial, which is evaluating IBI363 (Takeda R&D code: TAK-928) in patients with squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose disease has progressed on or after chemotherapy and immunotherapy, to include patients with non-squamous NSCLC. This expansion marks another important milestone in the development of this investigational innovative immunotherapy. IBI363/TAK-928 is a potential first-in-class alpha-biased IL-2/PD-1 bispecific fusion protein being jointly developed by Innovent and Takeda globally.

The evaluation of IBI363/TAK-928 in non-squamous NSCLC will be conducted as a new substudy of MarsLight-11, a global, multicenter, randomized, controlled Phase 3 study. MarsLight-11 will therefore be comprised of two independent substudies—one in squamous NSCLC and the other in non-squamous NSCLC. Each substudy will evaluate the efficacy and safety of IBI363 monotherapy versus docetaxel in patients with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC whose disease has progressed during or after treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy and anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy.

About IBI363 /TAK-928 (alpha-biased IL-2/PD-1 Bispecific Fusion Protein)

IBI363/TAK-928 is a potential first-in-class alpha-biased IL-2/PD-1 bispecific fusion protein being co-developed by Innovent and Takeda. It functions by both blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway and selectively activating the IL-2 pathway. The IL-2 arm of IBI363/TAK-928 is designed to maintain its affinity for IL-2Rα while reducing binding to IL-2Rβ and IL-2Rγ, with the aim of minimizing toxicity. The PD-1 binding arm not only blocks PD-1 but also selectively delivers IL-2 to the tumor.

IBI363/TAK-928 is being evaluated in a series of clinical trials globally, including

- a pivotal Phase II study in China in previously untreated acral and mucosal melanoma

- a global multi-center Phase III trial in immunotherapy-resistant squamous and non-squamous NSCLC

- a pivotal Phase III study in China in advanced CRC refractory or intolerant to standard therapy.

- In parallel, multiple Phase Ib/II trials are evaluating IBI363/TAK-928 in NSCLC and CRC including the first-line and later line settings, and in additional tumor types.

IBI363/TAK-928 has received two Fast Track Designations (FTD) from the U.S. FDA and three Breakthrough Therapy Designations (BTD) from China NMPA so far.

In October 2025, Innovent entered into a license and collaboration agreement with Takeda, under which Innovent and Takeda will co-develop IBI363 (Takeda R&D code: TAK-928) globally and co-commercialize IBI363/TAK-928 in the U.S., and Takeda will exclusively commercialize IBI363/TAK-928 worldwide other than the U.S. and greater China.

PAINSTUDY Inc. Targets 'Self-Medication' Demand with Functional Muscle and Joint Patches

Functional healthcare brand leads with everyday muscle and joint care patches as it expands into a growing global wellness trend

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Functional healthcare brand PAINSTUDY Inc. is expanding its market presence with a new line of patch products focused on everyday muscle and joint care, tapping into "self-medication" — a growing trend in which consumers take a more active role in managing their own health and lifestyle habits.

PAINSTUDY develops and supplies functional muscle and joint patches designed to help modern consumers more easily manage the muscle and joint discomfort they experience in daily life. The company adopted a patch format so that consumers can use the products conveniently while going about their daily routines, with safety, adhesion, and ease of use as key factors in product development.

The company is paying close attention to a shift in consumer attitudes toward health management. As interest in health grows, consumers are increasingly looking to monitor their condition and manage it continuously as part of daily life, rather than reacting only after discomfort sets in. In line with this shift, PAINSTUDY is focused on the role self-care products can play in everyday life, separate from clinical healthcare settings.

The newly launched line of functional patches was developed with this direction in mind. It reflects customer feedback gathered through the company's existing products as well as its own product development know-how, with a focus on helping consumers efficiently manage muscle and joint fatigue in daily life. The products apply quality-controlled ingredients and ergonomic design to enhance safety and adhesion.

Patch-format products in particular offer a strong connection to everyday health management, as they can be used conveniently in the moment without any separate devices or complicated steps. According to the company, the products were designed with the lifestyles of consumers who need to manage physical fatigue arising from various everyday settings — work, exercise, and outdoor activities — in mind.

PAINSTUDY sees this product direction as closely aligned with the broader global self-medication trend in healthcare consumption. The company's strategy is to offer easy-to-use products that allow consumers to take an active role in managing their own health, while continuously expanding their options through ongoing product development.

To that end, PAINSTUDY also views communication with consumers as a key element of its product competitiveness. The company plans to strengthen a virtuous cycle in which customer feedback and usage experience from existing products inform the development of new ones, with future products planned around actual consumer demand. The new patch line likewise reflects customer feedback accumulated over time.

On the distribution front, PAINSTUDY plans to further strengthen the business foundation it has built in the domestic e-commerce market while also expanding into offline sales channels. Building on the consumer reach it has established through major online platforms such as Coupang and Naver Smart Store, the company plans to diversify its distribution structure so that its brand and products can be found across a wider range of sales channels.

Looking ahead, PAINSTUDY also plans to pursue new growth opportunities in overseas markets. Amid continued global interest in everyday health management and wellness, the company aims to gradually expand its reach with consumers abroad, building on the product development experience and customer feedback it has accumulated domestically.

"Helping consumers take a more proactive role in managing their own health in daily life is the direction PAINSTUDY is pursuing in product development," a PAINSTUDY Inc. representative said. "Starting with our muscle and joint patches, we plan to continue introducing healthcare products that reflect our customers' diverse needs, and over the long term, grow into a comprehensive wellness brand that can deliver our brand value to consumers around the world as well."

Cuvo Health Publishes 2026 State-by-State Virtual Clinic Compliance Report: 33 of 51 Jurisdictions Restrict the Corporate Practice of Medicine
Image File
Original HTML

Free 51-jurisdiction dataset maps compact licensing, telehealth registration, nurse practitioner authority and MSO rules for white-label virtual clinics and digital health startups. Only 14 states offer out-of-state physicians a telehealth registration or telemedicine license.

WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cuvo Health, the white label telehealth platform operated by Medstra Inc., today published the 2026 State-by-State Virtual Clinic Compliance Report, a dataset covering all 50 states and the District of Columbia that shows how state licensing, practice-ownership and scope-of-practice rules shape where and how a telehealth brand can launch. The report and its full dataset are free to download and cite at https://cuvo.co/blog/virtual-clinic-compliance-report-2026.

Cuvo Health compiled the report from primary sources as of Sept. 27, 2026: the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission, the PA Licensure Compact commission, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, state statutes and medical board rules, court decisions, and attorney general opinions. Every row in the dataset lists its source.

Key findings

- 41 of 51 jurisdictions issue physician licenses through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. Four more (Alaska, Arkansas, New Mexico and Rhode Island) have enacted it but are not issuing licenses yet, and California, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, South Carolina and Virginia remain outside it.

- Initial compact licensing for one MD across all 41 issuing jurisdictions costs $18,542.50 in state and Commission fees, before renewals, which each state board sets on its own schedule.

- Only 14 states offer an out-of-state physician a telehealth registration or telemedicine license short of full licensure. In 20 jurisdictions, an out-of-state physician may do little more than consult with a physician licensed in the state.

- 19 states enforce a strong corporate practice of medicine prohibition, including six of the ten most populous, 7 apply a limited version, and 7 remain unsettled. Only 18 have no general prohibition, which makes a management services organization with a physician-owned professional entity the conservative structure for a non-physician founder in most of the country.

- Arkansas, California, Massachusetts and New York combine a strong corporate-practice rule, no live compact license and only narrow telehealth exceptions.

- 28 jurisdictions grant nurse practitioners full practice authority, 12 reduce it and 11 restrict it. The APRN Compact has 4 of the 7 states it needs to take effect, and the PA Licensure Compact, with 29 member states, is not yet issuing privileges.

- Oregon SB 951 and California SB 351 now limit how management services organizations and private equity owners may control physician practices, and the California Attorney General settled corporate-practice cases with Aspen Dental and Carbon Health in 2026.

"Every founder we speak with asks how fast they can launch nationally, and the answer depends on 51 separate rulebooks," said Fen Haines, Vice President, Operations, Cuvo Health. "A national brand needs a licensed prescriber in every patient's state, an ownership structure that satisfies each state's corporate-practice rules, and a nurse practitioner model that changes at state lines. We published the dataset so founders can see those rules before they decide how to build."

The report also covers the federal rules every telehealth platform shares. Under HIPAA, a breach of unsecured protected health information must be reported to affected individuals within 60 days, and breaches of 500 or more people to HHS at the same time. The FTC Health Breach Notification Rule applies the same 60-day window to health apps and services outside HIPAA. Breach readiness has become a practical buying criterion: OpenLoop Health, Inc. filed a data breach notification with the California Attorney General for a Jan. 7, 2026 incident, which HIPAA Journal reported affected up to 716,000 individuals. The report also notes that the DEA's telemedicine flexibilities for prescribing controlled substances remain in effect through Dec. 31, 2026.

Cuvo Health operates the infrastructure the report describes for the brands on its platform:

- A network of more than 300 board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants licensed across all 50 states, DC and the US territories;

- The management services organization and physician-owned professional entity, built and maintained by Cuvo;

- E-prescribing over the Surescripts network, fulfillment through 17 partner pharmacies, and an API that supports ONC FHIR interoperability standards;

- HIPAA-compliant infrastructure with business associate agreements, SOC 2 Type II on higher tiers, and a documented FTC Health Breach Notification Rule process.

Global Running Boom Takes Center Stage at Sold-Out Life Time Chicago Half Marathon & 5K

Participants from all 50 states and 52 countries hit the pavement on Chicago's Southside for 29th annual event

By the Numbers

- Nearly 10,000 participants

- 50 states represented

- 52 countries represented

- Nearly 45% running their first-ever half marathon or 5K

- 1,000+ participants running alongside a family member

- Ages 2 to 88 represented across the event

- 29th annual event

CHICAGO, Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 10,000 runners from across the country and around the world took to Chicago's South Side Sunday for the sold-out Life Time Chicago Half Marathon & 5K, with nearly half of participants competing in their first-ever half marathon or 5K — offering a snapshot of how the sport continues to welcome new runners while bringing families and generations together.

Owned and produced by Life Time (NYSE: LTH), the 29th annual event drew participants from all 50 states and 52 countries across the half marathon, 5K and kids run. Nearly 45% of participants were running their first-ever half marathon or 5K, while more than 1,000 ran alongside a family member. The field also spanned generations, from 2-year-olds participating in the kids race to an 88-year-old runner, highlighting the range of ways people are making running and movement part of their lives.

For many participants, the race represented more than a finish line. First-time racers lined up alongside longtime runners, families turned the event into a shared experience, and participants traveled from across the U.S. and around the world to make Chicago part of their running journey.

"Running continues to evolve as a sport that people can enter at any age and make their own," said Allison Humbert Wilkinson, Associate Marketing Director at Life Time. "Nearly half of this year's participants were taking on their first-ever half marathon or 5K, while more than 1,000 ran alongside family members. That speaks to the power of a race to be more than a finish line — it can be a starting point for a healthier lifestyle, a shared family tradition and a journey that extends well beyond race day. Through training, nutrition, recovery, fitness and community, Life Time is proud to support people wherever they are in that journey."

The race's signature Chicago course offered runners exclusive access to Lake Shore Drive and sweeping views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline, while winding through historic South Side neighborhoods including Kenwood and Hyde Park. Starting and finishing in Jackson Park, the course brought runners through a distinctly Chicago backdrop, while the pre-race party and expo at Navy Pier rounded out a weekend experience for participants traveling from near and far.

Full race results are available here.

Life Time's role in the running community extends well beyond race day. Across Chicagoland, the company operates 16 luxury athletic country clubs where members can train, recover and build healthy habits year-round. A new Life Time destination is set to open in Naperville in early 2027.

The Chicago Half Marathon & 5K is the second of two events that make up the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon Series. Runners who completed both events this year earned a third medal to recognize their achievement.

The event is also part of Life Time's portfolio of nearly 30 owned and produced athletic events across the country, including the Miami Marathon, Phoenix Half Marathon & 10K and Leadville Race Series. Together, the events offer opportunities to pursue goals ranging from a first 5K to some of the world's most challenging endurance events.

Details of the case: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Hims shared consumers' health information with third-party advertising platforms; (2) Hims charges consumers for prescriptions almost immediately after they submit an intake form, despite telling consumers that they will be able to consult with a medical provider to find a treatment that is "right for them;" (3) the foregoing conduct subjected Hims to regulatory scrutiny; (4) as a result of the foregoing, Hims was reasonably likely to incur fees and penalties; and (5) as a result of the foregoing, defendants' positive statements about Hims' business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

CTA Construction Managers Celebrates Steel Topping Off at New Melrose Fire Engine 2 Station

Construction of the new Engine 2 station is part of the first phase of Melrose's larger Public Safety Buildings Project.

MELROSE, Mass., Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CTA Construction Managers recently joined the City of Melrose, Melrose Fire Department, project partners, and members of Ironworkers Local 7 to celebrate the steel topping off of the new Melrose Fire Engine 2 Station, marking a major milestone in construction of the new public safety facility.

The ceremony recognized the placement of the final structural steel beam, which was raised into position carrying an American flag and evergreen tree in keeping with the longstanding topping-off tradition.

"Reaching the topping-off milestone is an exciting moment for everyone involved in this project," said Pat Tompkins, Principal at CTA Construction Managers. "It reflects the hard work, craftsmanship, and collaboration of our project team and trade partners, and brings the City of Melrose another important step closer to a modern facility designed to support its firefighters and the community for decades to come."

The new approximately 24,000-square-foot Engine 2 station will include three apparatus bays, a maintenance bay, administrative space, fitness facilities, and sleeping quarters.

The project is part of the City of Melrose's broader, multi-phase investment in its public safety facilities. Engine 2 personnel are temporarily operating from Fire Headquarters while construction proceeds, allowing emergency response services to continue uninterrupted during the project.

"This project represents an important investment in our firefighters, our public safety infrastructure, and the long-term needs of the Melrose community," said Melrose Mayor Jen Grigoraitis. "It is wonderful to see the building taking shape, and we are grateful to the entire project team for their continued hard work and collaboration."

"Seeing the structural steel complete is an important and highly visible milestone for the Engine 2 project," said Denise Gaffey, Project Manager for the City of Melrose Public Safety Facilities Projects. "A tremendous amount of planning and coordination has gone into reaching this point. We appreciate the partnership among CTA, Vertex, Dore & Whittier, the Fire Department, and all of the trades as we continue moving this important project forward."

The project continues several longstanding relationships for CTA Construction Managers. CTA has worked with Vertex, the project's Owner's Project Manager, for approximately 13 years and five previous projects. CTA also has a 13-year relationship with Dore & Whittier Architects, with Engine 2 representing the firm's third project together.

This milestone is a great reflection of the collaboration among the city, fire department, design team, and the entire construction team." said Glen Gollrad, Associate at Dore & Whittier Architects. "It's exciting to see the structure take shape and the vision for a modern fire station move another step closer to reality."

"Successful public safety projects depend on strong coordination and teamwork from the earliest planning stages through construction," said Bryan Fors, Project Executive at Vertex. "The topping off of Engine 2 is an important milestone, and we're proud to continue working alongside the City of Melrose, CTA Construction Managers, and Dore & Whittier as the project advances."

Construction of the new Engine 2 station is part of the first phase of Melrose's larger Public Safety Buildings Project, which also includes a new police station and subsequent improvements to the City's remaining fire stations.

With the structural steel now complete, CTA Construction Managers and the project team will continue advancing the building enclosure, mechanical and electrical systems, interior construction, and subsequent phases of work.

Accuray and Samsung NeuroLogica Advance Volumetric Imaging Collaboration for the Accuray CyberKnife® Platform
Image File
Original HTML

MADISON, Wis., Sept. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Accuray Incorporated (NASDAQ: ARAY) today announced that it had entered into agreements with Samsung HME America, Inc., dba NeuroLogica Corp. ("Samsung NeuroLogica") to pursue advanced volumetric imaging capabilities for the CyberKnife® System. The announcement coincides with the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, where the companies are highlighting their collaboration. The collaboration represents another example of Accuray's strategy to address customer priorities through targeted partnerships that bring together complementary expertise.

Accuray customers have consistently identified imaging capabilities that enhance treatment efficiency and informed decision-making as important priorities. Through this collaboration, Samsung NeuroLogica's experience in mobile computed tomography (CT) and volumetric imaging will be coupled with Accuray's expertise in precision treatment delivery, robotic radiosurgery, and motion management.

"When I joined Accuray, I spoke about the importance of bringing meaningful innovation to customers with greater focus and speed," said Steve La Neve, President and Chief Executive Officer of Accuray. "That requires clarity about where Accuray should lead, where we should collaborate, and how we translate customer priorities into action. Our collaboration with Samsung NeuroLogica reflects that approach by bringing together complementary expertise to pursue opportunities that are expected to help address important customer and patient needs."

Leading practitioners have emphasized to Accuray that volumetric imaging can enhance visualization of patient anatomy in the treatment environment and support future clinical workflows. The collaboration between Accuray and Samsung NeuroLogica is intended to pursue opportunities to bring additional imaging information closer to treatment decision-making while maintaining the regulatory rigor required in radiation oncology.

"We have long been interested in what volumetric imaging could add to CyberKnife's non-coplanar treatment delivery and real-time motion management," said Professor Nicholas van As, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Chief Investigator of the landmark PACE trials, which have helped establish five-fraction radiotherapy as a standard of care for selected patients with localised prostate cancer. "Seeing the target and surrounding anatomy together at the time of treatment could help us make more informed decisions for each patient. Looking further ahead, this could open new possibilities for adapting treatment to the patient's anatomy of the day, alongside real-time motion management during delivery. We are delighted that The Royal Marsden is the first centre worldwide to participate in this Accuray–Samsung NeuroLogica collaboration, exploring what Samsung's volumetric imaging technology could bring to the future of robotic radiosurgery."

"The potential of volumetric imaging alongside robotic radiosurgery extends across thoracic, abdominal and pelvic malignancies," said Jonathan Lischalk, MD, Clinical Director of Radiosurgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine, who will speak at Accuray's clinical session at ASTRO on Monday, September 28. "For clinicians treating lung, pancreatic and prostate cancers, understanding the relationship between the target and nearby healthy organs at the time of treatment is central to the decisions we make. Exploring how additional imaging information could complement CyberKnife's non-coplanar delivery and real-time motion management is an exciting direction. Looking further ahead, it could also open new possibilities for adapting treatment to changing anatomy. I look forward to discussing these clinical opportunities with colleagues at ASTRO."

The feedback from leading clinicians reinforces the importance of pursuing innovations that can provide additional information at the time of treatment.

"Our team has spent years developing mobile CT, bringing imaging to the patient. The discussion with Accuray begins with a practical clinical need: better visualization of anatomy in the treatment room," said Boris Geyzer, Head of Business, Mobile CT, Samsung HME America. "Samsung NeuroLogica brings deep experience in mobile computed tomography, while Accuray brings precision treatment-delivery expertise and a close understanding of radiotherapy workflows. By bringing these perspectives together, we believe that we can facilitate use of volumetric imaging to address meaningful needs in the treatment room."

The Samsung NeuroLogica collaboration is one component of Accuray's broader strategy to accelerate innovation and product development through a deliberate combination of internally developed technologies and strategic partnerships.

"Customers expect us to move with urgency while maintaining the discipline required in radiation therapy," La Neve added. "We do not believe every capability must be developed internally. In many cases, the strongest path forward is bringing together distinct expertise around a shared customer or patient challenge."

The collaboration will progress through phased development activities as the companies evaluate technical, clinical, and commercial opportunities. No commercial product offering has been announced, and future developments remain subject to ongoing evaluation and applicable regulatory requirements.

The announcement reinforces Accuray's commitment to helping clinicians deliver highly precise treatments while advancing the company's mission to expand the curative power of radiation therapy and improve as many lives as possible.
