The Las Vegas podium marked Shanahan's third of the season in his E82 BMW, following a third-place finish at the Streets of Long Beach during the championship opener and a second-place finish at Round Four in Stafford Springs, Connecticut.

Despite the narrow loss, Shanahan remains fourth in the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship standings, with one round to go in Long Beach, Calif. on October 23 – 24.

"It's been an exciting season, and I'm proud to have secured another podium finish with the consistent performance of the KUMHO Ecsta V730 tires," said Jack Shanahan. HealthCode and PCSI Celebrate Contributions by People with Disabilities in the Workforce

''No Barriers'' Virtual Activity Challenge Promotes Health and Wellness While Observing National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognizing the hard-working women and men with disabilities in the U.S. workforce, HealthCode and Professional Contract Services, Inc. are encouraging people of all ages to join the "No Barriers'' virtual activity challenge in October.

The No Barriers challenge was born out of the reality that everyone is facing a challenge – seen or unseen – in their life.

As October marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month, HealthCode and PCSI are challenging everyone to join the No Barriers challenge to raise awareness of the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle while celebrating the contributions of people with disabilities in the workforce.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month began in 1945 as a weeklong national observance of the contributions of people with physical disabilities. In 1988, Congress designated the commemoration as NDEAM, which then evolved to acknowledge the importance of increasing opportunities for people with disabilities, including those with mental health conditions and other nonobvious disabilities, in the workforce.

"At PCSI, we are committed to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and Veterans, primarily by helping them find meaningful employment. Every day we get to see members of the community we serve overcome obstacles and break down barriers in the workplace so they can live their best lives," said Tony Cucolo, president and CEO of Professional Contract Services, Inc., and a retired U.S. Army Major General. "As a former Soldier, I know daily physical activity is a key to living your best life, not just for health and fitness but also to improve your mental resilience in the face of life's many obstacles. With the No Barriers challenge, HealthCode and PCSI are bringing it all together to remind everyone that they, too, can overcome any obstacle, small or large, and they can start by doing some type of physical activity every day. So, get outside and go for a walk, a run, bike, roll, stretch — set your own goal and take the challenge with us during October."

Steve Amos, CEO and founder of HealthCode, said: "We all face some challenge in our lives. Barriers can reside in the body or in the mind, and they rarely, if ever, appear at a convenient time. We are encouraging everyone to recognize the contributions by the hard-working women and men with disabilities in our workforce throughout October while taking steps to create new goals for a healthier – and hopefully – happier life."

No Barriers will kick off October 1 and participating is easy. Participants sign up on the No Barriers registration page and log miles or minutes – or both – on the HealthCode online activity tracker. Throughout the month, the program leaderboard is updated with miles achieved globally.

Participants can join as an individual or as part of an organization. Employers and other organizations can register at https://healthcode.org/organizations.

HealthCode's programs are designed to raise awareness of the benefits of an active, healthier lifestyle while making developing healthy habits fun. Since its first Million Mile Month virtual challenge in 2014, 207,414 registrants in all 50 states and 30 countries have participated in HealthCode's virtual activity events, achieving 21.3 million miles and 337.3 million minutes of physical activity and burning 2.4 billion calories with potential healthcare cost savings of $6.2 million.

The No Barriers challenge is a companion challenge to October's Marathon in a Month. Participants wanting an extra challenge are encouraged to register for both events.

Recognition for New Model Development and Launch Readiness follows successful transition of five Nissan programs in six weeks

DETROIT, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nagase America announced today that its Mobility Solutions division has received Nissan Americas' 2026 Monozukuri Spirit Award for New Model Development and Launch Readiness, recognizing the team's exceptional execution, collaboration and agility in supporting Nissan vehicle programs.

The award was presented September 25 at Nissan Americas' annual Supplier Appreciation and Awards event at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Nissan's annual awards recognize supplier partners for outstanding contributions across quality, operational excellence, innovation, aftersales support and sustainability. Nagase America was one of three companies recognized with the Monozukuri Spirit Award and was specifically honored for New Model Development and Launch Readiness.

The recognition follows Nagase America Mobility Solutions' successful execution of a complex takeover project involving the transition of five Nissan programs within six weeks. The accelerated transition required close coordination across Nagase, Nissan and supply chain partners to maintain program continuity while meeting Nissan's development and launch requirements.

"This award represents much more than a successful launch. It reflects what can be accomplished when our teams combine agility, collaboration and disciplined execution around a shared objective," said Anthony Kellum, Director of Nagase America Mobility Solutions. "We are proud of what our team accomplished and even more excited about the opportunity to continue strengthening our relationship with Nissan globally."

Nissan defines Monozukuri as "the art and science of making things," representing its commitment to craftsmanship, continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. The Monozukuri Spirit Award recognizes suppliers that demonstrate an understanding and application of those principles across both upstream and downstream activities.

The project received recognition across Nissan's leadership teams for the speed and effectiveness of the transition. The execution also demonstrated how greater agility and coordination can accelerate activity within an automotive industry traditionally characterized by long development cycles.

With more than 25 years of automotive operations in Michigan, Nagase America has long served as a strategic partner to global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across North America. Its Mobility Solutions division operates across three areas of focus — Interiors, Electrification and Materials — bringing localized R&D capabilities, advanced material technologies and a global supplier network to North American automotive programs. By bridging global innovation with local engineering support, the division serves OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers from concept through commercialization, helping customers navigate the increasingly complex demands of modern vehicle development.

The award builds on Nagase America's continued investment in the North American automotive market and its commitment to delivering next through innovative technologies, responsive customer support and long-term strategic partnerships.

Global Brand Experience Studio DE-YAN Names Industry Veteran Jonathan Akwue President
Image File
Original HTML

The former Translation president and Publicis Groupe executive joins as the brand experience studio builds on a year of growth that included being named Experiential Agency of the Year at Ad Age's Small Agency Awards and an industry-first MASB certification for experiential ROI

NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DE-YAN, the global brand experience studio, today announced that Jonathan Akwue has joined as President, the first in the studio's history. Akwue joins from Translation, where he served as President. Based in New York, he will work alongside founder and CEO Dejan Jovanovic and the executive leadership team to continue to deepen client relationships and build the business around the studio's creative ambition.

Akwue brings more than 25 years across network and culture-led agencies, including Publicis Groupe, where he was President and Global Media Lead, as well as Digitas UK and Lost Boys. He is the second senior leader in under two years to join DE-YAN from an established agency, following Chief Creative Officer Jason Kreher, formerly of Wieden+Kennedy and Maximum Effort, in 2025.

The hire comes on the back of real momentum for the studio. Ad Age recently named DE-YAN Experiential Agency of the Year at its Small Agency Awards, and this spring DE-YAN became the first company in the world to earn Marketing Accountability Standards Board (MASB) certification for experiential ROI. The studio has also had a run of high-profile work, from contributing to the FIFA World Cup Halftime Show, to launching Meta's new retail experience stores, to creating Luma AI's $1 million Dream Brief and more.

"It's fascinating to watch where brand building is heading. More and more of the industry is moving toward the kind of model we've been building for a decade: strategy, creative, technology, production and experience working together from the start," said Dejan Jovanovic, founder and CEO of DE-YAN. "Jonathan is joining at a pivotal moment when that way of working feels more relevant than ever. He brings a rare combination of scale, cultural fluency and operational rigor, but most importantly, he understands what is already special about DE-YAN. His role is to help us take bigger swings, deepen our client relationships and grow without losing the taste, craft and creative ambition that got us here. We're building a real alternative to the traditional agency structure. My vision has always been for DE-YAN to be a category of one, and it's incredibly exciting to feel like we're not just building the next chapter of the studio, but helping define what the next generation of creative companies can look like."

Akwue first came to know DE-YAN when he visited the retail experience the studio built for Meta Reality Labs in Los Angeles.

"I walked through that experience as someone in the industry and as a consumer, and thought, this is incredible. I wanted to know who the people behind it were," said Akwue. "DE-YAN takes cultural intelligence off the page and puts it into the real world. With digital and AI, many can create a single channel campaign or piece of content, but far fewer companies can create a real-world experience that connects with people in innovative, tasteful, tech-enabled ways. Agencies and holding companies across the industry are racing to build or acquire experiential offerings. DE-YAN isn't evolving to catch up—in many ways, the market is starting to move toward the model we've already been building."

"There is a real push right now where companies are trying to bolt on experiential," said Jason Kreher, Chief Creative Officer of DE-YAN. "For the last decade, DE-YAN has been creating highly effective, highly crafted experiences. Clients come to us for that best-in-class creativity. It's a natural next step to offer them the rest of the marketing funnel at the same standard."

Akwue also points to DE-YAN's MASB-certified measurement as a differentiator. "Putting my media hat on, I look at ERIC and think, this isn't just vibes," he said. "You can substantiate the impact a real-world experience delivers. As someone who has spent time in media, in creative and in culture agencies, it all comes together here."

Jovanovic and Kreher describe DE-YAN's approach as "inverting the pyramid." Instead of building an ad campaign and bolting on an experience at the end, DE-YAN often starts with something in the real world: an experience that asks someone to care enough to leave their house, show up and engage. And they build advertising, content, creator participation and amplification around that from day one. The experience is not the last deliverable. It is the reason everything else exists.

"We think of ourselves as a brand experience studio, not a traditional experiential agency," said Jovanovic. "Strategy, design, technology, motion and production all sit together. The people shaping the answer are sitting next to the people making it real."

The model is already in the work. For PUMA's Rolling Nations, DE-YAN skipped the stadium reveal and built the World Cup kit launch out of pop-ups in New York's diaspora neighborhoods, ending in an 11-truck block party in Brooklyn.

"I was raised at Wieden+Kennedy, where you learn to spot an idea and make sure it can go everywhere. For years, the manifesto film was where that idea lived," said Kreher. "I can deliver something as effective as a 90-second, tear-jerking manifesto in a physical space, for far less cost and far less risk. You show people something real and let it spread the way things spread now. And an event lifts all your other marketing channels too."

"Being here feels like stepping onto a rocket ship," said Akwue. "We're still in takeoff mode."

INTURAI PROVIDES DEFENCE TECH COMPETITION RESULTS AND COMPANY UPDATE
Image File
Original HTML

(CSE: URAI / OTC: URAIF / FSE: 3QG0)

[email protected]

- DomeCommand, the drone command-and-control platform the Company recently acquired, won first and third place in the two-day team integration category at the Singapore Defense Tech Hackathon 2026, in entries collaborating with partner teams.

- In the first-place entry, Team Echelon connected its acoustic localisation system and Team Aegis connected its interceptor drone to DomeCommand within the two-day event, demonstrating detection, localisation and coordinated interception in a competition setting.

- As part of its business development activities, Inturai recently signed a three-year Master Services Agreement with Brihaspathi Technologies Limited, which reports more than 2 million cameras deployed across India. The agreement is a framework for future projects, with revenue dependent on individual projects being signed under it. The Company continues to work on its other sensor opportunities, which are at different stages of testing and commercial discussions.

VANCOUVER, BC, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Inturai Ventures Corp. (the "Company") (CSE: URAI) (OTC: URAIF) (FSE: 3QG0) is pleased to report that DomeCommand, the drone command-and-control platform the Company recently acquired, won first and third place in the two-day team integration category, "Lord of the Rings", at the Singapore Defense Tech Hackathon 2026 (the "Hackathon"), held in Singapore from September 25 to 27, 2026. DomeCommand platform allows a single operator to coordinate multiple drones and sensor feeds and presents ranked response options for human approval. It competed in two joint entries alongside partner teams.

The Hackathon was co-organised by NUS Enterprise, TUM Venture Labs and the European Defense Tech Hub. It ran a two-day open challenge alongside an invitation-only three-month extended challenge. DomeCommand took part in the three-month development track, then competed in the final two-day integration category in joint entries with partner teams.

DomeCommand, Team Echelon and Team Aegis took first place. Echelon integrated its acoustic localisation system, and Aegis integrated its interceptor drone with DomeCommand, and the joint entry demonstrated an end-to-end sequence of detection, localisation and coordinated interception, run at the edge.

DomeCommand also placed third with Team Phylax. Phylax built a civilian defence application for Singapore that used DomeCommand's simulation capabilities to model drone attacks and generate guidance for civilians during an incident.

For the Company, the relevant result is integration speed: each partner team built on or connected to DomeCommand within two days. These were competition demonstrations built in a controlled setting. They were not operational deployments, were not evaluated in the field by a defence customer, and do not represent a commercial agreement. The advertised prizes were S$8,000 for first place and S$2,000 for third place, shared among DomeCommand and the partner teams in each winning entry. The Company's RF sensing technology was not part of the winning entries.

Low-cost drones are a growing concern for defence forces, including in Singapore. In his Committee of Supply speech on February 27, 2026, Singapore's Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing, said that "the rise of cheap asymmetric capabilities, including drones, will present both threats and opportunities," that "we cannot use a missile to take down every drone that comes at us," and that the Singapore Armed Forces "will also be focusing our effort to integrate both manned and unmanned operations as a system." Source: Ministry of Defence, Singapore, https://www.mindef.gov.sg/news-and-events/latest-releases/27feb26-speech2/

The Company will provide further updates on DomeCommand product development as it progresses.

Separately, the Company continues to work on its aged care, retail and data centre opportunities for Spatial Intelligence, which are at different stages of testing and commercial discussions. The Company carries out this work largely through channel partners and technology providers with commercial agreements on an opportunity by opportunity basis.

As part of its business development activities, the Company also recently signed a three-year Master Services Agreement with Brihaspathi Technologies Limited, an India-based security and surveillance technology company that reports more than 2 million cameras deployed across India. The agreement covers commercial and enterprise projects, including retail, facilities management, transport and smart city applications. The Brihaspathi agreement carries no initial revenue, and the Company will update the market as material developments occur.

In HelloNation, Custom Pool Experts Danny Franke and Mike Scheck Explain the Pool Build Timeline from Design to Completion

A New Article Breaks Down the Phases and Variables That Determine How Long a Custom Pool Project Takes in Milton

MILTON, Ga., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Why do so many homeowners underestimate how much time the pool build timeline actually requires from first conversation to completed construction? A HelloNation article walks through each phase of a custom pool project in Milton and explains the variables that shape how long the full schedule takes.

The article explains that homeowners planning a custom pool in Milton should expect the pool build timeline to extend upward of six months from initial design conversations to a completed project. Complex projects with premium features, challenging site conditions, or extensive outdoor living components often take considerably longer. Design development, material selections, and structural engineering typically take four to eight weeks for a standard project, and changes made after the design is finalized push the schedule back further. Concentrating decision-making effort early in the process is one of the most effective ways to maintain momentum throughout the build.

Permitting is among the most variable phases of the pool build timeline because it depends in part on processes outside the contractor's direct control. Georgia requires building permits for pool construction through the local jurisdiction, and some projects may also require environmental or stormwater review depending on site conditions. The article notes that in the City of Milton and surrounding areas of North Fulton County, permit processing times vary based on project complexity and how busy the building department is at any given time. Submitting for permits as soon as the design is finalized gives homeowners the best chance of staying on schedule.

Once permits are in hand, site preparation and excavation mark the visible beginning of construction. The article explains that in Milton, where properties frequently feature sloped terrain or significant tree cover, site preparation may involve additional grading before excavation can begin. After excavation, steel reinforcement is installed per the structural engineer's specifications, and the pool shell is formed and applied using gunite or shotcrete. This phase takes several days, followed by a curing period of at least 28 days before interior finishes can be applied. Custom Pool Experts note that concrete curing is a structural requirement that cannot be shortened without risking the integrity of the pool's foundation.

Plumbing, electrical, and equipment installation follow the shell curing period. The article describes how pools with spas, water features, or integrated lighting involve more complexity at this stage and take longer to complete. Inspections are typically required at several points during this work, and scheduling around inspector availability adds time to the calendar. Interior finish application, tile installation, and coping work are completed around the same time, followed by placement of surrounding deck materials.

Decking, landscaping, and outdoor living elements are often the final phase of construction and can extend the pool build timeline considerably depending on their scope. The article notes that a simple concrete deck can be placed in a few days, while a project that includes natural stone pavers, an outdoor kitchen, built-in seating, pergola structures, and coordinated lighting can add weeks or months to the schedule. In Milton, where custom outdoor living expectations are high, these finishing elements often represent a meaningful portion of the overall build timeline.

From first design meeting to final walkthrough, most custom pool projects in Milton take between six and twelve months. Simpler projects on level, accessible lots may come in closer to six months, while projects with highly detailed designs, challenging terrain, or extensive outdoor living scope routinely extend beyond that range. Custom Pool Experts emphasize that starting the planning process with a clear picture of the timeline helps homeowners set realistic expectations and avoid the frustration that comes from underestimating how long a high-quality custom project actually takes.

From Design to Completion: Understanding the Pool Build Timeline features insights from Danny Franke and Mike Scheck, Custom Pool Experts of Alpharetta, Georgia, in HelloNation.

The PG&E Corporation Foundation Provides $1.32 Million To Help Local Food Banks Fight Hunger Across 45 Counties

Shareholder-funded grants are Expected to Help Provide the Equivalent of More Than 3.13 Million Meals

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- With food insecurity affecting one in five Californians, The PG&E Corporation Foundation (The PG&E Foundation) is providing $1.32 million to local organizations on the front lines of hunger relief. The funding will help more than 50 food banks, tribal food banks and senior meal programs across 45 counties provide the equivalent of approximately 3.13 million meals to families and individuals in need.

The funding comes during Hunger Action Month, a nationwide effort to raise awareness and combat hunger in America. This contribution is funded by PG&E shareholders and is not recovered through customer rates.

Grant amounts consider county poverty and unemployment levels, using the California Department of Social Services' formula, to promote equity among counties with higher need.

"Food banks are often on the front lines when a crisis strikes, and meeting a sudden surge in need requires more than food alone. It takes the resources, people and partnerships to respond quickly and effectively," said Stacia Levenfeld, CEO of California Association of Food Banks. "We're deeply grateful for partners like PG&E who understand that in times of need, we are stronger and better prepared when we respond together."

The grants come as food insecurity remains a persistent challenge across California. According to the California Association of Food Banks, one in five Californians—about 8.8 million-- reported experiencing food insecurity, despite the state producing nearly half of the nation's fruits and vegetables. Food banks across the state are serving record levels of need as families continue to face increased costs for housing, groceries and other essentials. Communities of color, seniors and working families are disproportionately affected, with many turning to food assistance for the first time.

"Families across California are facing difficult choices as the costs of groceries, housing and other essentials continue to rise," said Carla Peterman, President, PG&E Corporation, and Chair of The PG&E Corporation Foundation Board. "These grants will help local food banks provide immediate assistance in the community they know best. Over the past six years, we have contributed more than $8 million to organizations fighting hunger, and we remain committed to helping our neighbors access the food they need."

Supporting Emergency Preparedness

In addition to the support for local food banks throughout PG&E's service area, the company has agreements with 25 local food banks in high fire-risk areas to provide food replacement during and up to three days after a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). These PSPS events may be called when dry, windy weather is forecast, and PG&E may need to turn off power in certain areas to prevent wildfires and keep customers safe.

You can find a food bank in your county here. Check with your local food bank to learn if they have income restrictions. Food is available while supplies last.

Meals on Wheels delivers meals to seniors enrolled in the program. Seniors who are enrolled and experience a public safety power shutoff will receive an extra meal for each day of an emergency outage. You can enroll in Meals on Wheels in your area.

PG&E also opens Community Resource Centers during PSPS events to provide basic supplies, charging stations and information to customers. Transportation support, hotel accommodations and discounts may also be available. You can learn more here and sign up for outage alerts.

Why Does a Flavor Taste Different to You Than It Does to Me?

Unlikely Collaborators Hosts Flavor Chemist Melissa Conklin for a Spark Salon Exploring the Surprising Science of Taste, Scent, Memory, and Perception

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The smell of a particular food can transport us instantly to another place or time.

A flavor can remind us of childhood, evoke someone we love, or trigger an emotional response before we even understand why.

But if we think taste happens primarily on our tongues, we are missing much of the story.

On Tuesday, October 13, Unlikely Collaborators will welcome flavor chemist Melissa Conklin for a Spark Salon exploring the surprising science behind taste and scent and what our sensory experiences can reveal about the way we perceive reality.

Titled Taste, Scent, and Perception Box, the evening will explore how flavor is not simply something we taste. It is an experience constructed through interactions among the brain, body, sensory signals, memory, expectation, culture, context, and personal history.

At the heart of the conversation is a fascinating question: If two people encounter the same food and experience it completely differently, what does that reveal about how the brain and body construct the world that appears to each of us?

Blending chemistry, neuroscience, and storytelling, Conklin will explore how the brain transforms molecules into experiences filled with meaning. While our taste buds detect basic tastes, much of what we experience as flavor is shaped by aroma and by the memories, expectations, associations, and emotions we bring to the experience.

That helps explain why the same flavor can tell a completely different story to each of us.

A scent that feels comforting to one person might be unpleasant to another. A familiar food can carry memories of family, culture, celebration, or loss. Even what we expect something to taste like can influence what we ultimately experience.

Through the lens of the Perception Box™ framework, these differences offer a tangible example of how each of us experiences the world through a lens shaped by our individual histories. What feels like an objective sensory experience is deeply intertwined with memory, emotion, expectation, and meaning.

Drawing from a decade of experience creating flavors, Conklin will take audiences inside the art and science of flavor chemistry, exploring the chemistry of aroma and taste molecules, the science of olfaction, and the remarkable role the brain plays in turning sensory information into personal experience.

The evening invites audiences to reconsider something they do every day without much thought: taste. In doing so, it offers a surprising window into a much larger question about perception itself and why the same world can feel so different to each of us.

The evening will take place in person at Unlikely Collaborators' Santa Monica headquarters and will also be livestreamed online.

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Billions of digital requests move every second across apps, payments, devices, and AI systems. Almost all are trusted automatically. The inventor says that is exactly the problem. "Online interactions need a stronger way to know who or what is on the other end of a request," said an inventor from Palo Alto, California. "INTRACE is built to bring trust, accountability, and protection to digital systems, AI, payments, and connected devices." INTRACE is a security control plane and enforcement pattern designed to verify identity, protect integrity, and create tamper-evident records — on every interaction, not just at the front door.
