Concrete Expert Matt Wallace Explains What to Know Before Repairing Concrete in HelloNation

The article explains why understanding the cause of concrete damage leads to more effective and longer-lasting repairs.

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What causes concrete cracks? A HelloNation article featuring insights from Concrete Expert Matt Wallace of The Concrete Company in Madison, Wisconsin, explains why identifying the source of damage is one of the most important steps before beginning any concrete repair.

The article explains that visible damage is not always the full story. A crack in a driveway or patio may appear to be a simple repair, but the underlying cause often determines whether the repair will last. Addressing only the surface without correcting the conditions beneath it can allow the same problem to return.

According to the article, concrete can crack for many different reasons. Normal settling, freeze and thaw cycles, heavy vehicle traffic, poor drainage, tree roots, and unstable soil can all contribute to damaged concrete. Because every situation is different, the article explains that the appropriate concrete repair depends on understanding what caused the damage in the first place.

The article notes that smaller imperfections such as shallow cracks, minor chips, and light surface wear are often good candidates for repair when the concrete beneath remains stable. Cosmetic repairs can improve appearance while helping reduce moisture intrusion. However, even small cracks deserve careful evaluation if they continue to grow or appear in several locations, as they may indicate a larger issue.

Larger cracks often require a more detailed assessment. The article explains that movement below the surface may be responsible when sections of a driveway or patio have settled or shifted. Simply filling the visible crack will not prevent additional movement if poor soil conditions, an unstable base, or water beneath the slab continue affecting the concrete. Understanding the condition of the foundation is just as important as evaluating the surface itself.

Drainage is another important factor discussed in the article. Water that repeatedly collects around concrete surfaces can gradually weaken the supporting soil and contribute to uneven settling. The article explains that correcting drainage problems before completing a concrete repair can improve long-term performance and reduce the likelihood of future damage. Without addressing drainage, the conditions that caused the original cracks may remain.

The article also explains that the age of the concrete should influence the decision between repair and replacement. A newer slab with isolated damage may respond well to professional repair when the surrounding concrete remains structurally sound. Older surfaces with widespread cracks, repeated repairs, or significant settlement may have reached the point where replacement provides a more dependable long-term solution.

Daily use also plays a role in selecting the right approach. According to the article, a patio that primarily supports outdoor seating experiences different stresses than a driveway that carries multiple vehicles every day. Considering how the surface is used helps determine whether a repair is likely to provide lasting performance or whether additional structural work may be necessary.

The article concludes that successful concrete repair depends on looking beyond the visible damage. Evaluating damaged concrete by considering cracks, drainage, soil conditions, age, and daily use helps homeowners make more informed decisions. Understanding the cause of the problem before beginning repairs increases the likelihood of achieving a durable result instead of a temporary fix.

HelloNation Features Dental Expert Dr. Norman D. Knowles on Recovery After All-on-4 Surgery

Original HTML

The article outlines key aspects of recovery, healing, and post-operative care following All-on-4 surgery.

VERO BEACH, Fla., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What should patients expect after All-on-4 surgery?

HelloNation has published an article that answers this question through insights from Dr. Norman D. Knowles of Art of Smiles in Vero Beach, FL. The article explores the recovery process following All-on-4 surgery and highlights the steps patients can take to support healing and long-term success.

The HelloNation article explains that while many patients focus on the procedure itself, the period after All-on-4 surgery plays a major role in treatment outcomes. During this time, the body begins healing around the dental implants as they integrate with the surrounding bone. Understanding this process can help patients approach recovery with greater confidence and realistic expectations.

According to the article, mild to moderate discomfort is a common part of All-on-4 recovery. Some soreness and swelling may occur during the first several days as healing progresses. These responses are considered a normal part of recovery, and patients are encouraged to follow the post-operative instructions provided by their dental team.

The article notes that dietary adjustments are among the most important aspects of All-on-4 recovery. During the early stages of healing, soft foods are generally recommended to reduce stress on the surgical area and protect the dental implants. Planning ahead with appropriate soft foods can make the transition easier while helping patients remain comfortable throughout recovery.

As healing continues, patients are often able to gradually expand their diets based on professional recommendations. The article explains that soft foods help limit excessive pressure on the restoration while tissues recover. Following dietary guidelines carefully can support both comfort and long-term treatment success.

Another important topic covered in the article is cleaning. Although the mouth may feel sensitive after All-on-4 surgery, proper cleaning remains essential. The article emphasizes that patients should follow instructions regarding cleaning techniques and oral hygiene products to help support healing and reduce the buildup of bacteria around the restoration and surrounding tissues.

The article also highlights the importance of follow-up visits. These appointments allow the dental team to evaluate healing progress, assess the restoration, and answer patient questions. Regular follow-up visits help ensure that recovery remains on track and provide opportunities to address concerns before they become larger issues.

Protecting the restoration is another key responsibility during All-on-4 recovery. The article advises patients to avoid habits that may place unnecessary force on the restoration, including chewing hard objects or consuming foods that require excessive force. These precautions help protect both the restoration and the dental implants during a critical stage of healing.

The article further explains that recovery occurs gradually. While some improvements may be noticed quickly, complete healing takes time and varies from patient to patient. Understanding that All-on-4 recovery is a process rather than a single event can help individuals maintain realistic expectations and remain patient throughout treatment.

Communication also plays an important role after All-on-4 surgery. The article encourages patients to discuss questions about healing, cleaning, soft foods, or follow-up visits with their dental team. Clear communication helps patients stay informed and supports a smoother recovery experience.

Preparation before treatment may also contribute to a more comfortable recovery. Having soft foods available, understanding cleaning instructions, arranging transportation when needed, and planning for follow-up visits can help reduce stress during the first days after surgery. These practical steps often make All-on-4 recovery more manageable.

The article concludes that successful outcomes depend on more than the procedure itself. Healing, cleaning, soft foods, follow-up visits, and protecting the restoration all contribute to recovery after All-on-4 surgery. By understanding what to expect and following professional guidance, patients can approach the recovery process with greater confidence.

Long-term data reinforce durable efficacy and safety of POMBILITI + OPFOLDA in late-onset Pompe disease

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (Nasdaq: BMRN) today announced new data evaluating the efficacy and safety of POMBILITI® (cipaglucosidase alfa-atga) + OPFOLDA® (miglustat) in late-onset Pompe disease (LOPD) were presented at the 31st Annual Congress of the World Muscle Society (WMS), in Hiroshima, Japan.

These results from the PROPEL open-label extension (OLE) study of POMBILITI + OPFOLDA, which were shared in a late-breaking presentation, demonstrated durable motor function outcomes and relative stabilization of pulmonary function over long-term follow-up. The analysis included data from 82 individuals who received POMBILITI + OPFOLDA continuously from baseline observed in the initial PROPEL study (PROPEL baseline) to year five. For the enzyme replacement therapy (ERT)-experienced cohort, the mean duration of prior ERT at baseline was 7.6 years. These data represent long-term benefits for people with LOPD followed in the study, including both ERT-experienced and ERT-naïve cohorts.

"These five-year results demonstrate that POMBILITI and OPFOLDA can provide durable, long-term benefits for people living with late-onset Pompe disease, including those who had been on enzyme replacement therapy for years before enrolling in the study," said Greg Friberg, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Research & Development Officer at BioMarin. "Sustaining motor function and limiting pulmonary decline for up to five years in a progressive disease like LOPD is clinically meaningful, and we remain committed to continuing to share long-term evidence to inform the care of people with this rare genetic condition."

Table 1. Efficacy Measures With POMBILITI + OPFOLDA From PROPEL Baseline (BL) for up to Five Years

No new safety signals were identified. 51.2% of participants (n=42) experienced treatment-related adverse events, the majority of which were manageable. Five individuals discontinued treatment for safety reasons, including two due to serious treatment-related adverse events (chills and hypoxia [n=1], anaphylactoid reaction [n=1]).

Phase 1/2 Data Show Positive Dystrophin Expression and Favorable Tolerability With Nivudirsen (BMN 351)

Additional presentations at WMS included data evaluating nivudirsen (BMN 351), an investigational antisense oligonucleotide for ambulatory boys ages 4 to 10 with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) amenable to exon 51 skipping. Included in these presentations was an update from the ongoing Phase 1/2 351-201 study, which was previously shared at the 19th International Congress on Neuromuscular Diseases in July. Results from 351-201 showed treatment with nivudirsen was generally well tolerated and led to consistently positive outcomes across multiple measures of therapeutic benefit, including expression of near full-length dystrophin.

About the PROPEL Open-Label Extension Study

The Phase 3 open-label extension (OLE) study (ATB200-07; NCT04138277) is a multicenter, international study designed to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of POMBILITI + OPFOLDA in adults with late-onset Pompe disease (LOPD) who completed the Phase 3 PROPEL study (ATB200-03; NCT03729362). Of the 118 people treated in the OLE, 82 continued POMBILITI + OPFOLDA treatment from PROPEL (62 ERT-experienced prior to PROPEL; 20 ERT-naïve) and 37 switched from the comparator arm to POMBILITI + OPFOLDA (29 ERT-experienced; eight ERT-naïve).

The study evaluates long-term changes from PROPEL baseline in six-minute walk distance (6MWD, the primary endpoint in PROPEL), forced vital capacity (FVC), creatine kinase (CK) and hexose tetrasaccharide (Hex4) levels, and patient-reported outcomes, as well as long-term safety.

About Study 351-201

The 351-201 trial (NCT06280209) is a Phase 1/2 multicenter open-label dose-escalation study evaluating BMN 351 for the treatment of boys aged 4 to 10 with Duchenne muscular dystrophy with a specific genetic change amenable to exon 51 skipping. The primary endpoints examine the safety and tolerability of BMN 351, the secondary endpoints assess plasma, urine and muscle pharmacokinetics, and key exploratory endpoints include exon-skipping efficiency, dystrophin expression, immunogenicity and functional assessments.

The study is being conducted in three cohorts, with Cohort 1 being divided into Cohort 1A and Cohort 1B. In Cohort 1A, three boys received increasing doses once every two weeks with a visit to assess safety measures collected the week after dosing prior to escalating doses of BMN 351. In part two, the participants in Cohort 1A transitioned to once-weekly dosing. The participants in Cohort 1B, 2 and 3 will receive low (6 mg/kg), medium (9 mg/kg) and high (12 mg/kg) doses of BMN 351 and continue once-weekly dosing at that same dose.

About Late-Onset Pompe Disease

Late-onset Pompe disease (LOPD) is an inherited lysosomal disorder caused by deficiency of the enzyme acid alpha-glucosidase (GAA). Reduced or absent levels of GAA lead to accumulation of glycogen in cells, which is believed to result in the clinical manifestations of Pompe disease. LOPD can be severe and debilitating with progressive muscle weakness throughout the body that worsens over time, particularly in skeletal muscles and muscles that control breathing.

About Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a severe neuromuscular condition that leads to progressive muscle weakness and premature mortality. DMD is caused by genetic changes that result in the absence or dysfunction of dystrophin, an essential protein that is necessary for preserving muscle function.

As an X-linked disorder, DMD primarily affects young boys, with onset of symptoms occurring around 2 to 3 years of age. The incidence of DMD is up to 1 in 3,600 to 6,000 live male births.

Individuals with DMD experience serious functional impairments, including loss of limb strength and ambulation, and respiratory and cardiovascular impacts that require lifelong care.

About POMBILITI + OPFOLDA

POMBILITI + OPFOLDA is a two-component therapy that consists of cipaglucosidase alfa-atga, a bis-M6P-enriched rhGAA that facilitates high-affinity uptake through the M6P receptor while retaining its capacity for processing into the most active form of the enzyme, and the oral enzyme stabilizer, miglustat, that is designed to reduce loss of enzyme activity in the blood.

Corgi Insurance Launches Data Center Insurance Program

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Data centers have become a critical part of the infrastructure powering AI, cloud computing, and modern businesses. As demand for computing capacity grows, data center developers and operators are navigating increasingly complex risks across construction, power, cooling, equipment, business interruption, and the rapidly evolving hardware inside these facilities.

Today, Corgi Insurance announced the launch of a new insurance program built around the entire life of a data center, from construction and commissioning through ongoing operations and the hardware that powers computing workloads.

Rather than requiring data center operators to piece together coverage across multiple policies and carriers, Corgi's program brings key exposures together under one insurance program.

During construction, the program provides builders with risk and delay in start-up coverage, helping protect against covered losses that delay a facility's planned operations.

Once a data center is operational, Corgi provides coverage for critical property and infrastructure, including power, cooling, and UPS systems, along with business income coverage when a covered loss takes a facility offline.

The program also addresses one of the most significant assets inside modern data centers: GPUs. Corgi is introducing residual value protection designed to help protect GPU hardware as a financeable asset, providing coverage for the equipment supporting AI and high-performance computing workloads.

The program is designed for colocation operators, GPU cloud and AI compute hosts, enterprise and edge data centers, and the developers building these facilities.

"Data centers are becoming some of the most important infrastructure in the world, but the insurance around them hasn't evolved at the same pace," said Nico Laqua, co-founder of Corgi. "We're building insurance around the entire data center, from the moment construction starts to the hardware running inside it."

As investment in AI infrastructure accelerates, attention has increasingly focused on the physical infrastructure required to support it, from new data center construction and GPU availability to power and water requirements. Corgi's data center program is designed to address the insurance needs that come with building and operating that infrastructure.

About Corgi

Corgi is an AI-native insurance carrier built for high-growth companies. The company combines proprietary underwriting technology, in-house claims handling, and modern insurance infrastructure to deliver coverage built for the way businesses operate today.

Book now or wait? KAYAK's 2026 Holiday Travel Check-In uses historical fare trends to reveal the best times to buy and fly, plus where prices are falling this year

NORWALK, Conn., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Holiday flights are on travelers' minds, and so is the question of when to buy. Should you book now or wait? Fly on the holiday itself or the weekend before? KAYAK's 2026 Holiday Travel Check-In has the answers, revealing when fares typically come down, which travel dates deliver the best value, where travelers are headed and where flight prices are cooling off.

Patience Pays, But It's Got a Deadline

For Thanksgiving travelers, patience could pay off, but it has an expiration date. Domestic airfare has historically hit a low around five weeks before the holiday (hint: get that flight booked before the end of October!), before they climb sharply within two weeks of departure. So, if you haven't booked yet, you may still be in luck.

Travelers flexible enough to fly on Thanksgiving Day (historically one of the most budget-friendly days to travel) could save up to 19% domestically and 49% internationally compared with departing on November 20, the most expensive day to fly. Christmas travelers have a sweet spot of their own: KAYAK data shows fares historically dip between four and seven weeks before departure (or roughly mid-November through early December). And, flying the week of Christmas (vs. the week before) can save travelers up to 18% domestically and 34% internationally.

"Throughout 2026, airfare has largely followed the seasonal patterns we saw in 2025, just at a higher price point," said Peer Bueller, CEO of KAYAK. "That makes history a useful guide, not a guarantee."

"Start tracking prices now and set a Price Alert so you are ready to book if fares fall," says Kayla DeLoache, KAYAK's Travel Trends Expert. "Waiting a few weeks could save you money; waiting until the last minute probably won't."

That Bucket List Trip Just got More Bookable

For those with more budget flexibility, that far-flung trip sitting on your wish list might be closer than it looks this holiday season. Some of the biggest declines in KAYAK's data are on long-haul routes, with average fares to destinations across Latin America, Asia and the Caribbean coming in lower than last year. Airfare to Cusco is down 20% versus last year, while fares to Phuket and Fiji are down 16% and 13%, respectively. For a getaway closer to home, Guadalajara is another option, with average airfare at $516.

Round Trip? Not So Fast

Rethinking the traditional round trip could pay off when it comes to ways to save this holiday season. Piecing together two one-way tickets could cut airfare by as much as 30% internationally and 29% domestically.

The biggest potential savings when booking two one way trips include Simpson Bay, St. Maarten at 30%, Liberia, Costa Rica at 23%, and Lima, Peru at 20%. Domestically, Washington, D.C. leads at 29%, followed by Chicago at 28% and San Diego at 22%.

Canada is cool and Florida is heating up

Canadian cities are climbing Americans' holiday wish lists. Québec City and Montréal are two of the three international destinations seeing the biggest year-over-year search increases, with interest up 73% and 45%, respectively. Maybe it's the storybook Christmas markets. Maybe it's the food. Either way, Canada is on Americans' holiday radar.

Canada delivers on value, too: four of the top five lowest-fare international destinations are in Canada. Average airfare comes in at $486 to Toronto, $516 to Vancouver and $556 to Montréal, giving travelers plenty of ways to head north without sending their budgets south.

Back in the U.S., Florida claims five of the 10 destinations seeing the biggest year-over-year search increases, and each has an average airfare under $430. Punta Gorda leads the pack, with searches up 44%, while Valparaiso and Sarasota are both up 30%. New Orleans, Savannah and Knoxville are also gaining traction among holiday travelers.

Longwood Gardens Celebrates Autumn's Colors with Chrysanthemums, Fountains, and Foliage

Chrysanthemum Festival Returns October 16, 2026

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Featuring thousands of chrysanthemums in fanciful forms, beautiful fall foliage, and a bewitching lineup of seasonal programming, Longwood Gardens invites guests to experience Autumn's Colors from October 2 through November 15, 2026. As temperatures cool and the Gardens are transformed by hues of gold and red, guests can explore the art and beauty of horticulture by day and night.

Chrysanthemum Festival Returns With New Forms

"Our Autumn display pairs nature's colorful foliage with the ancient artistry of chrysanthemum training," says Chris Cole, Vice President of Horticulture at Longwood Gardens. "More than 5,000 chrysanthemum plants are on display, many carefully sculpted by our expert horticulturists into spirals, clouds, and other forms for an exhibit that takes more than a year of planning and is only on view for a few weeks."

Beginning October 16, the East and Main Conservatories are transformed into a vibrant showcase of horticultural artistry for Chrysanthemum Festival. In the conservatories, guests move through more than 5,000 chrysanthemum plants trained into sculptural forms including spirals and cascading clouds in gem-toned hues of yellow, orange, lavender, and maroon. New this year is a double chrysanthemum arch. In the Bonsai Workshop, students and staff present a chrysanthemum bonsai display.

In the Exhibition Hall, a live chrysanthemum curtain is the backdrop to a new display inspired by the Japanese artform of suiseki. Sometimes called viewing stones, suiseki appreciates naturally occurring stones for their resemblance to natural landscapes like mountains, islands, and waterfalls. Longwood has created chrysanthemum forms, some as large as 10-feet long, inspired by suiseki.

From 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, October 24, Longwood's Science Series celebrates the artistry and science of chrysanthemums with "Meet Us at the Mums." Members of Longwood's Science team will be stationed throughout the conservatories to field questions about their techniques, research, and the horticultural mastery behind the iconic Chrysanthemum Festival. Free with Gardens Admission, advance registration suggested.

A New Kind of Fountain Show for Halloween

Longwood's Main Fountain Garden presents its final Illuminated Fountain Performances of the year at 8:15 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through October 31. New for 2026, the Symphony of Horror Illuminated Fountain Performance on October 23 is a dynamic after-dark performance combining projected scenes from the classic film Nosferatu with live organ music performed by Longwood Gardens Principal Organist Peter Richard Conte. Finishing out the lineup, the family-favorite Halloween Magic Illuminated Fountain Performance returns for performances on October 24, 25, and 31.

Fall Color, Indoors and Out

Autumn hues paint the Gardens indoors and out. Longwood's lush conservatories transition from summer to fall with ornamental peppers, coppery sedges, bold coleus, and colorful coral bells.

Changing foliage is the signature outdoor feature, and three treehouses offer striking views of peak gold and burgundy hues. Climb the Birdhouse Treehouse for a 20-foot view of the surrounding foliage, wander through the ADA accessible Lookout Loft to listen to the gentle hush of falling leaves, or step inside the Canopy Cathedral Treehouse for a serene overview of the Large Lake framed by dawn redwoods, sour-gums, and oaks.

New this season, families can gather beneath the shade of the London Plane-trees in the West Conservatory Plaza for Storytime on October 8, 15, 22, 29 at 11 am. Designed for children ages 3-6, Longwood educators read two to three seasonally-inspired stories at each session.

From October 3-31, a fall harvest display adorns the Rose Arbor, Idea Garden, and Peirce-du Pont House Plaza with iconic showings of bronzed ornamental grasses, richly-hued mums, pink and purple celosias, and whimsical gourds.

The beloved Garden Railway returns with miniature Longwood landmarks, seasonal blooms, and dozens of engines running beneath a canopy of maples and white birches.

Seasonal Garden Dining

For a dining experience immersed in the season's colors, the Beer Garden offers an al fresco location beneath a canopy of golden ginkgo trees. Guests can enjoy seasonal fare, craft drinks, and live music Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings through November 1.

1906, Longwood's signature restaurant, features a seasonal menu showcasing crisp produce such as cabbage, kale, peppers, and lettuces that are harvested daily from Longwood's Idea Garden. 1906 Offers lunch Monday and Thursday with both lunch and dinner service Friday through Sunday through November 1.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to Unveil The Corner Store November 9

The Corner Store Las Vegas will welcome guests seven nights a week: Sunday – Thursday 5 p.m. – 10 p.m and Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. – Late. Reservations are now available via The Cosmopolitan online or by calling (702) 675-9828.

CULINARY PROGRAM

Under the leadership of Chef Vignola, in collaboration with The Corner Store Las Vegas Executive Chef Daniel Bernardo, the menu champions an ingredient-first approach to elevated American classics. Signature offerings include:

- Lobster & Caviar Rolls with tarragon-celery remoulade

- Five Cheese Pizza Rolls served with whipped ranch

- The Corner Store Caesar featuring everything bagel croutons and cream cheese croquettes

- The Wagyu French Dip, spotlighting a 72-hour slow-roasted Westholme Australian ribeye

Exclusive to Las Vegas, guests can also experience an expanded selection of premium meats and hand-cut steaks from The Butcher's Counter, anchored by the Rosewood Ranch Wagyu Tomahawk and Wagyu Porterhouse. Seasonal crudos, market-driven salads and larger-format shared plates round out the menu, offering a vibrant, communal style of dining tailored to the city.

BEVERAGE PORTFOLIO

The same attention to detail, precision and ingredient-led philosophy found in the kitchen will carry through to the cocktail program, with the Martini once again at its center. Led by Lucas Robinson, Catch Hospitality Group Beverage Director, in partnership with The Cosmopolitan's Head of Mixology Gedeon Tsegaye, the menu will feature SoHo favorites, including the Tomato Martini and Sour Cream & Onion Martini, alongside new creations exclusive to Las Vegas, including a Vegas-inspired take on Oli's Dirty Martini served with a trio of mascarpone caviar olives.

House-made ingredients, premium spirits and techniques such as infusion, cryovac, sous vide, milk washing and oil washing will remain central to the program. The beverage menu will also feature The Corner Store's signature Martini Service, a large-format pour designed to serve two to three guests, alongside a thoughtful wine list curated by Catch Hospitality Group Wine Director Emily Buse, recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the top 50 sommeliers in the U.S., and Master Sommelier and Executive Director of Wine for MGM Resorts Douglas Kim.

DESIGN

Crafted by Rockwell Group—the visionary firm behind The Corner Store's original SoHo location—the Las Vegas outpost translates the warmth and lived-in character of a classic New York neighborhood spot to the grand scale and glamour of The Cosmopolitan.

Elevated on the resort's third floor rather than tucked along a traditional streetscape, the restaurant reveals itself through an intimate storefront designed to capture the intrigue of a hidden New York corner store. Wood-framed doors and tinted fluted glass anchor a dramatic façade layered with amber drapery, illuminated stained-glass artwork and Art Deco-inspired accents.

Inside, the venue unfolds across a sequence of distinct yet interconnected spaces rich with burl wood, antique mirrors, marble, velvet and warm vintage lighting. Guests transition from a classic main bar into the Martini Room—centered around a striking green onyx bar—before arriving in the main dining room, whose design channels the romance of vintage train cars. Tailored banquettes, herringbone wood floors, arched architectural details and a curated gallery of New York City photography seamlessly connect the space to the downtown edge and nostalgia of the SoHo original.

Adjacent to the main dining area, a dedicated private dining room accommodating up to 24 guests will feature golden plaster, polished burl wood, layered lighting and a flexible partition that can divide the room into two more intimate spaces. Additional group dining and event options are available and can be secured with The Cosmopolitan's Group dining team by emailing [email protected].

The opening of The Corner Store at The Cosmopolitan expands the collaboration between MGM Resorts and Catch Hospitality Group. The two companies first partnered to open CATCH at ARIA Resort & Casino in 2018.

GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM 64GB Unified Memory Version Expands Possibilities for Desktop AI Development

TAIPEI, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GIGABYTE today announced the launch of a new 64GB unified memory version of GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM, expanding its existing 128GB offering. Available starting October 23, the new configuration retains the hardware design of AI TOP ATOM, based on the NVIDIA DGX Spark platform, giving developers, researchers, and enterprise teams greater flexibility to select the configuration that best fits their AI workloads and memory requirements, while enabling dedicated on-premises AI development environments.

As generative AI and agentic AI applications continue to evolve, model testing, data processing, and application validation are becoming increasingly integral to everyday development workflows. GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM integrates AI computing capabilities into a compact desktop form factor, enabling users to perform model inference, prototype development, and data analysis in offices, laboratories, and educational environments. By running models and processing data locally, users can maintain greater control over development resources and project data while reducing reliance on cloud computing resources.

The new 64GB unified memory version, together with the existing high-capacity 128GB version, creates a more comprehensive AI TOP ATOM product lineup. Users can evaluate and select the memory capacity that best matches their model sizes, workflows, and multitasking requirements, enabling them to develop AI applications on the same platform and progress from early proof-of-concept development to practical deployment. With built-in ConnectX-7 networking, developers can cluster up to 4 units with NVIDIA Sync for larger memory pool and compute capability.

On the software side, AI TOP ATOM integrates NVIDIA CUDA accelerated AI software ecosystem with GIGABYTE AI TOP Utility, providing capabilities including model downloading, inference, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to help users establish local AI workflows. Developers can explore open models, test AI assistants, or leverage their own documents to build knowledge-based question-and-answer applications, allowing them to continuously refine and validate solutions based on project requirements and accelerate the transition from ideas to real-world applications.

GIGABYTE is also continuing to explore the potential of AI TOP ATOM for agentic AI applications. In a multi-node scientific computing demonstration, GIGABYTE integrated NVIDIA Nemotron open models with the NVIDIA NemoClaw open agent blueprint to connect research hypothesis generation with simulation workflows, demonstrating the potential of AI agents to support scientific research. Through the continued integration of hardware platforms, software tools, and real-world applications, GIGABYTE is committed to expanding the use cases for desktop AI computing.

With the addition of the 64GB unified memory version, AI TOP ATOM is now available in both 128GB and 64GB configurations, addressing the needs of users across different stages of AI development and application scales. GIGABYTE will continue to expand its AI TOP product portfolio and software ecosystem, helping individuals and enterprise teams build on-premises AI capabilities and bring AI from technology exploration into everyday applications.

The GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM 64GB unified memory version is officially available starting October 23, 2026. Product availability, sales channels, and pricing may vary by region. Please refer to GIGABYTE's official announcements and authorized local distributors for details.

New for 2026/2027, the Electric Horseman high-speed quad will provide direct access to the entire back mountain in approximately six minutes, while the new Storyteller ridge run adds a 1.7-mile groomed ridge run and access to three expert gladed chutes.

To purchase, 2026/2027 season passes and S-Cards are available now at sundanceresort.com.
