About MOGENRY (sonpiretigene isteparvovec; MCO-010)

Nanoscope's multi-characteristic opsin (MCO) technology utilizes a proprietary genetically engineered synthetic opsin to enable optimized performance in terms of high light sensitivity across a broad spectrum and fast kinetics. After Nanoscope's Co-Founder, President, and Chief Scientific Officer, Samarendra Mohanty, envisioned and invented the technology, his team has spent over a decade evaluating its performance across multiple animal models and human diseases. MOGENRY is an investigational, one-time, in-office, intravitreal optogenetic gene therapy built on Nanoscope's MCO platform. By delivering a multi-characteristic opsin gene to the highly dense bipolar retinal cells, MOGENRY makes these surviving cells directly light-sensitive, enabling them to utilize the remaining visual circuitry following photoreceptor loss. MOGENRY does not require genetic testing, invasive surgery, or repeat dosing, and is designed for administration within existing retina office workflows. MOGENRY is under review by the FDA for the treatment of RP with severe vision loss and under priority review by the PMDA and MHLW for the treatment of IRDs in Japan. The 2026 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was recently awarded to the three scientists who pioneered optogenetics, the scientific foundation that Nanoscope's development programs, including MOGENRY, are built upon.

About Nanoscope Therapeutics

- Nanoscope Therapeutics is developing disease-agnostic, vision-restoring optogenetic therapy for millions of patients blinded by retinal degenerative diseases. Following positive results from the RESTORE Phase 2b/3 multicenter, randomized, double-masked, sham-controlled clinical trial for RP (NCT04945772), the FDA has accepted and filed the Company's BLA for MOGENRY, and the PMDA has accepted for priority review the Company's NDA for MOGENRY for the treatment of IRDs in Japan. If approved, MOGENRY has the potential to become the standard of care for patients with RP and other IRDs, administered as a one-time, in-office injection without the need for genetic testing. The Company has also shown promising results in the STARLIGHT Phase 2 clinical trial of MCO-010 in Stargardt disease (SD) (NCT05417126) and plans to initiate a Phase 3 registrational trial in 2026. MCO-010 has received FDA Fast Track and Orphan Drug designations for both RP and SD, along with RMAT designation for SD, and EMA Orphan designations covering non-syndromic and syndromic rod- and cone-dominant dystrophies, as well as macular dystrophies. MCO-010 has also received Sakigake and Orphan designations for inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs) in Japan and an Orphan designation for IRDs in Saudi Arabia. A Phase 2 program for MCO in geographic atrophy is expected to start in 2026, and other IND-ready programs include Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA).

e‑STORAGE to Supply and Commission 100 MW/200 MWh Battery Storage System for OX2 in New South Wales

KITCHENER, ON, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Canadian Solar Inc. (the "Company" or "Canadian Solar") (NASDAQ: CSIQ) today announced that e‑STORAGE, its energy storage solutions business, has signed an agreement to supply and commission a 100 MW/200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for OX2's Muswellbrook Solar Farm and Battery, a solar-plus-storage project in New South Wales, Australia. Shipments are scheduled to begin in Q3 2027, with commercial operation targeted for Q3 2028. The battery cells and SolBank system will be produced in-house at Canadian Solar's manufacturing facilities, giving the customer end-to-end supply chain visibility and ensuring strict quality control across the product.

e‑STORAGE will deliver an integrated solution built on SolBank 3.0 battery containers, paired with Power Conversion Systems (PCS), plant controls, and the Company's proprietary EQ-S Energy Management System (EMS) developed and built in-house by e‑STORAGE's North American software team. e‑STORAGE will be responsible for the R1 grid connection studies, supply the hybrid power plant controller that coordinates the battery with the co-located solar farm, and lead the overall integration and commissioning of the hybrid project. The arrangement is backed by a 20-year long-term service agreement (LTSA), placing hardware, proprietary software, and long-term performance under a single accountable partner.

The project sits roughly 2.5 kilometers east of Muswellbrook, on land at a former coal mine within the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone. The location is significant: as the region's aging coal generators wind down toward retirement in the early 2030s, the dispatchable capacity they once provided must be replaced. Two-hour storage fills that gap directly, holding midday solar output and releasing it into the evening demand peak when supply from retiring thermal plants tightens.

Once operational, the system will support the long-term hybrid power purchase agreement OX2 has signed for the project, converting variable solar output into firm, contracted supply. By storing and dispatching solar energy on demand, the BESS strengthens grid reliability in a region transitioning away from coal and helps deliver firm renewable power to the communities in the Hunter Region.

Steve Symons, Vice President, OX2 Australia, said: "This battery storage system is what turns Muswellbrook into a true hybrid facility — pairing solar generation with storage so we can capture energy when the sun is shining and deliver it when the grid needs it most. It's a key step in providing firm, reliable renewable power to the Hunter region."

Jeff Roy, President of e‑STORAGE, said: "Australia's energy transition is being decided in regions like the Hunter, where storage now has to carry the load that retiring coal once did. We control this project from the cell through to our own energy management software and 20 years of service, which means OX2 has one partner accountable for how the system performs over its full life."

Shaun Heinrichs, President and CEO, stated, "We are pleased to have completed our current exploration drill program from both surface and underground, testing for new resources at True North. The latest high-grade drill results targeting the extensions of the 710-711 and 007 zones, coupled with the results previously released for the L10 Zone, confirm the potential to add new resources for the True North Gold Project, supporting our overall strategy to develop a district-scale project. These results will be incorporated into the updated mineral resource estimate currently underway."

The exploration drill program at True North, which commenced from surface in October 2024 and from underground in early October 2025, targeted new resources as well as expansion of known zones. The now-completed program comprised one hundred and three (103) surface drill holes totalling 28,475 m (including four drill holes that were abandoned before reaching target depth) and forty-six (46) underground drill holes totalling 17,346 m, targeting the new discoveries and resource expansion target areas.

The Company has commenced work on an updated resource estimate for True North which includes results from exploration drilling as well as the infill and delineation drill program, currently scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026 ("Q4/2026").

Table 1: Select Significant Drill Results – True North Underground Resource Expansion Drill Program (710-711 and 007 Zones)

The 710-711 Zone is hosted on the intersection of the Lower Basalt unit and the regional east-west steeply north-dipping L10 Shear Zone. The 007 Zone is hosted on the intersection of the Shoreline Basalt and the 007 Shear Zone, with both zones hosting gold-bearing mineralization associated with veins developed as northwest-trending extensional stockwork and breccia veins and east-west steeply north-dipping shear veins. Veining consists predominantly of quartz with accessory ankerite and albite, with sericite-pyrite and chlorite occurring as veinlets and pervasive alteration halos. Gold occurs with minor pyrite and as free native gold.

The 007 Shear Zone hosts a series of mineralized veins, which are the primary targets of the current resource expansion program at 007 and 710-711 zones. The 007 Shear Zone also hosts the new Shore target, recently the focus of surface and underground exploration drilling and hosted within the San Antonio Gabbro unit located approximately 500 m to the west. The L10 Shear hosts the new SAM SE Target hosted within the San Antonio Gabbro, approximately 500 m to the west of 710-711.

Given the proximity of the lower extent of the 007 Zone to the 710-711 Zone, drilling on both targets was conducted from Level 16 underground.

710-711 Zone Resource Expansion Drilling: Discussion of Results

Five (5) drill holes (UG16-26-054, 071, 075, 078 and 079) tested extensions of gold mineralization above the 710-711 Zone resource limit, all successfully intercepting gold-mineralized quartz-carbonate veins up-plunge. Two (2) additional drill holes (UG16-26-056 and 57) tested extensions of gold mineralization to the east and returned no significant results.

007 Zone Resource Expansion Drilling: Discussion of Results

Three (3) drill holes (UG16-26-060, 069, and 0085) tested extensions of gold mineralization below the 007 Zone resource limit, all successfully intercepting gold-mineralized quartz-carbonate veins down-plunge.

The latest results have confirmed the potential to define additional gold mineralization in multiple veins outside the 2024 MRE boundary. Gold mineralization was extended by 60 m from the upper resource limit of the 710-711 Zone and over a strike length of 115 m. Gold mineralization was extended by 120 m below the 007 Zone and over a strike length of 150 m, highlighting the potential to further increase and extend mineralization with additional drilling.

Next Steps

1911 Gold has now commenced a mineral resource update for True North expected in Q4/2026, which will include the three discoveries, San Antonio West, San Antonio Southeast, and Shore, as well as the extensions of current resources from the L10, 710-711, 007 and Hinge zones.

Exploration drilling from surface and underground will recommence once results from the recently completed program have been assessed and reviewed, supported by positive results highlighting key areas for follow-up.

The Company's ongoing infill and delineation drill program on areas contemplated for test mining and the early years of the Preliminary Economic Assessment mine schedule is being conducted from underground with three (3) drill rigs: two (2) on Level 16 and one from the Hinge decline. A fourth underground drill rig will be mobilized upon completion of rehabilitation on Level 26.

ACLARA EXPANDS PROJECT DYNAMO TO INCLUDE YTTRIUM, GADOLINIUM AND SAMARIUM SEPARATION
Image File
Original HTML

TORONTO, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Aclara Resources Inc. ("Aclara" or the "Company") (TSX: ARA) is pleased to announce it is expanding the scope of Project Dynamo, its planned rare earth separation facility in Louisiana, to incorporate separation capabilities for yttrium ("Y"), gadolinium ("Gd") and samarium ("Sm"), in addition to the previously planned production of neodymium-praseodymium ("NdPr"), dysprosium ("Dy") and terbium ("Tb").

As the first stage of this expansion, Aclara, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Aclara Technologies Inc., has commenced the installation of additional solvent extraction ("SX") circuits at its rare earth separation demonstration plant located at Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center in Blacksburg, Virginia. The new circuits are being designed to demonstrate the separation of Y, Gd and Sm using feedstock representative of the Super-Pure Rare Earth Carbonate ("SPREC") expected to be produced from Aclara's ionic clay deposits in Chile and Brazil.

Work at the demonstration plant is already underway. Equipment for the new Y separation circuit has arrived at the Virginia Tech facility and is expected to be installed and commissioned over the coming weeks, with Gd and Sm circuits expected to follow.

To support the expanded program, Aclara has doubled the physical footprint of its demonstration plant and is planning to approximately double the number of technical personnel supporting the facility.

Ramon Barua, Chief Executive Officer of Aclara, commented:

"The expansion of Project Dynamo represents an important advancement of Aclara's strategy. In addition to building a supply chain for the rare earths required for permanent magnets, we are expanding into materials that are becoming critical to power generation, aerospace applications -including aircraft jet engines- and the infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence."

"Yttrium is a particularly compelling opportunity. Approximately 50% of the rare earth composition of our Penco Project and 30% of our Carina Project is yttrium, giving Aclara a differentiated resource position in a market where Western supply remains highly dependent on imports. Penco has received its environmental approval and is positioned to advance toward construction, subject to securing the required financing."

"The rapid growth of AI and data centers is driving significant investment in power generation infrastructure, including gas turbines, where yttrium plays an important role in high-temperature applications. By combining our resource base with separation capabilities in the United States, we believe Aclara can become an important supplier into these strategic markets."

Expanding Project Dynamo

Project Dynamo was originally designed to separate NdPr, Dy and Tb. The planned expansion will add dedicated separation capabilities for Y, Gd and Sm, broadening the range of high-purity rare earth products Aclara intends to produce in the United States.

To incorporate the expanded product scope, Aclara is modifying the basic engineering of Project Dynamo to include the additional separation circuits in the industrial-scale facility in Louisiana. As part of this expansion, the number of mixer-settlers in the solvent extraction process is expected to increase from approximately 340 to 478, representing a significant expansion of the plant's separation capacity and complexity.

The expansion is expected to create two complementary rare earth platforms:

- Magnetic rare earths: NdPr, Dy, Tb and Sm, serving applications including e-mobility and robotics;

- Non-magnetic rare earths: Y and Gd, serving applications across power generation, aerospace applications -including aircraft jet engines- and other high-performance technologies.

Project Dynamo has secured its State Air Permit from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, and basic engineering for the facility is in its final stages. Aclara is targeting groundbreaking in the first quarter of 2027, subject to securing the required financing.

Yttrium: A Strategic Growth Opportunity

Aclara believes yttrium represents a significant new growth opportunity.

The rapid expansion of AI and cloud infrastructure is driving substantial investment in data centers and associated power generation capacity. Gas turbines are expected to play an important role in supporting this growth, and yttrium is used in advanced high-temperature materials required in turbine applications.

Aclara believes it is particularly well positioned because yttrium represents a significant component of its ionic clay resource base. Based on the current technical reports for the Carina Project and Penco Module, Aclara expects its mineral projects to have the potential to produce SPREC containing approximately 1,400 tonnes of yttrium per year at full production.

The Company is engaged in preliminary discussions with potential customers regarding future supply of yttrium and other rare earth products from Project Dynamo; no definitive offtake agreement have been entered into.

Collaboration with Virginia Tech and Argonne National Laboratory

Aclara's U.S. separation development program combines the Company's proprietary rare earth processing technology with the capabilities of Virginia Tech and Argonne National Laboratory ("Argonne").

Virginia Tech hosts Aclara's demonstration plant in Blacksburg, where operating data is generated to demonstrate and optimize the Company's separation process ahead of commercial-scale deployment at Project Dynamo.

The collaboration with Virginia Tech is also an important component of Aclara's workforce development strategy. Rebuilding rare earth industrialization and processing capabilities in the United States will require experienced engineers, chemists and plant operators with direct operating experience in rare earth separation.

Aclara is using the demonstration plant as a training platform for the technical workforce that will ultimately support Project Dynamo. Engineers, chemists and operators are expected to gain up to two years of hands-on operating experience at the Virginia Tech facility before the Louisiana plant enters production, which Aclara expects to provide a trained and experienced workforce to support a faster and lower-risk ramp-up of the commercial facility.

Aclara is also collaborating with Argonne under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement to develop an AI-enabled digital twin of the separation process using operational data from the Virginia Tech facility and Argonne's SolventX modeling platform.

Together, the Virginia Tech and Argonne collaborations are designed to support both the technical optimization of the process and the development of the people and operating capabilities required to scale rare earth separation in the United States.

About Aclara

Aclara Resources Inc. (TSX: ARA), a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company, is focused on building a vertically integrated supply chain for rare earth alloys used in permanent magnets, as well as high-purity rare earth oxides, including yttrium and gadolinium, for power generation, aerospace and other high-performance applications. This strategy is supported by Aclara's development of rare earth mineral resources hosted in ionic clay deposits, which contain high concentrations of the scarce heavy rare earths, providing the Company with a long-term, reliable source of these critical materials. The Company's rare earth mineral resource development projects include the Carina Project in the State of Goiás, Brazil as its flagship project and the Penco Module in the Biobío Region of Chile. Both projects feature Aclara's patented technology named Circular Mineral Harvesting, which offers a sustainable and energy-efficient extraction process for rare earths from ionic clay deposits. The Circular Mineral Harvesting process has been designed to minimize the water consumption and overall environmental impact through recycling and circular economy principles. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Aclara Technologies Inc., the Company is further enhancing its product value by developing a rare earth separation plant in the United States. This facility will process mixed rare earth carbonates sourced from Aclara's mineral resource projects, separating them into pure individual rare earth oxides. Additionally, Aclara through a joint venture with CAP, is advancing its alloy-making capabilities to convert these refined oxides into the alloys needed for fabricating permanent magnets. This joint venture leverages CAP's extensive expertise in metal refining and special ferro-alloyed steels. Beyond the Carina Project and the Penco Module, Aclara is committed to expanding its mineral resource portfolio by exploring greenfield opportunities and further developing projects within its existing concessions in Brazil, Chile, and Peru, aiming to increase future production of heavy rare earths.

STOKE Shoes Welcomes Footwear Industry Veteran Dave Powers as Advisor and Investor

Former Deckers Brands President & CEO and HOKA growth leader joins STOKE as the brand tackles one of footwear's biggest fit problems.

GEORGES MILLS, N.H., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- STOKE Shoes, the footwear brand focused on delivering exceptional comfort and fit for everyday wear, today announced that Dave Powers, former President and CEO of Deckers Brands, has joined the company as an advisor and investor.

Powers brings more than four decades of experience building and scaling global footwear and retail businesses, including nearly 13 years at Deckers Brands, where he served as President and CEO from 2016 to 2024. During his tenure, Powers helped lead Deckers through a period of significant growth, including the transformation of HOKA from a niche running brand into a billion-dollar-plus global business. Deckers reported record fiscal 2024 revenue of $4.29 billion under his leadership.

Now, Powers is bringing that experience to Stoke Shoes, a brand addressing a significant but often overlooked problem in footwear: fit.

According to the 2026 Volumental Foot Scan, approximately 76% of men in the U.S. have wide feet, highlighting a significant disconnect between the shape of consumers' feet and the footwear they typically wear. For Stoke, that gap represents an opportunity to rethink how men's footwear is designed around the actual shape of the foot.

"Dave is one of those rare people who has an incredible track record, but is also just a genuinely good dude," said Rick Blackshaw, Co-Founder of Stoke Shoes. "We're incredibly fortunate to have him as an advisor and investor. He knows footwear, he knows how to build brands, and he knows what it takes to scale a business. Even better, there's a personal connection here as CMO Ian Stewart and I first crossed paths with Dave during our time at Converse, so bringing him into STOKE feels like a natural continuation of a relationship that started years ago."

During his time at Deckers, Powers helped create more than $10 billion in shareholder value, while overseeing a period of substantial brand, revenue, and market-capitalization growth. Deckers' own announcement of Powers' retirement credited him with helping build the company into an industry leader and "dramatically increasing shareholder value" during his tenure.

Prior to Deckers, Powers spent four years at Converse, a Nike brand, as Vice President of Global Direct-to-Consumer and Licensed Retail, where he led international DTC expansion and served as part of the Nike retail leadership team. He previously held leadership roles at Timberland and spent a decade at Gap Inc.

"I've spent my career around footwear and STOKE immediately stood out to me because the team is solving a real consumer problem," said Dave Powers. "The opportunity to build a brand around comfort, fit and how people actually live is compelling. I know what it takes to build great footwear brands, and I believe Stoke has the product, the team and the opportunity to do something meaningful in the market. I'm excited to be part of the journey."

As an advisor and investor, Powers will work closely with Stoke's leadership team on brand strategy, product development, retail expansion, distribution and long-term growth.

"Stoke isn't trying to make another shoe and put a logo on it," added Blackshaw. "We're focused on making footwear that actually works for the way people live, and that starts with understanding the foot. Having someone with Dave's experience, perspective and network in our corner gives us an incredible resource as we build the company."

Based in Santa Barbara, Powers holds a B.A. in Marketing from Northeastern University.
