"James understands banking from nearly every angle: capital, technology, products, customers, and strategy," Castilla said. Former Sunshine Minting President and CEO brings more than 35 years of global operational leadership in precious metals as Star Gold advances the Longstreet Gold-Silver Project

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, Oct. 6, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Star Gold Corp. (OTCQB: SRGZ) ("Star Gold" or the "Company") today announced the appointment of Tom Power as Chief Operating Officer. Power, who currently serves on the Company's Board of Directors, brings more than 35 years of global operational leadership in precious metals, minting, and high precision manufacturing.

Power most recently served nearly two decades as President and CEO of Sunshine Minting, Inc. (SMI), one of the world's leading precious metals mints. Under his leadership, SMI grew from a 30-employee regional supplier into a multinational enterprise with hundreds of employees across five facilities in the United States and China, serving sovereign mints, major financial institutions, and the world's largest direct to consumer retailers.

"Tom's operational expertise and track record of scaling global manufacturing organizations make him an exceptional addition to Star Gold's executive team," said Lindsay Gorrill, Chairman and CEO of Star Gold Corp. "His leadership will be instrumental as we expand our footprint, strengthen our operational capabilities, and deliver long term value for our customers and investors."

As Chief Operating Officer, Power will oversee Star Gold's operations, supply chain, and organizational performance. He will focus on scaling the Company's operational infrastructure for accelerated growth, driving modernization across logistics and technology, and partnering with the CEO and Board to execute Star Gold's long term strategic roadmap.

Power's appointment reinforces Star Gold's commitment to:

- Operational maturity as the Company enters its next phase of scale.

- Disciplined capital deployment, supported by a leader with a history of expanding margins and improving operational leverage.

- Risk managed growth, backed by decades of experience navigating global supply chains, regulatory environments, and commodity driven markets.

- Institutional grade leadership that strengthens Star Gold's credibility with investors, partners, and strategic stakeholders.

At Sunshine Minting, Power led the company's transformation into a global market leader through strategic acquisitions, international expansion, and modernized production systems. He built and managed a multi facility operation with high volume throughput, advanced quality systems, and resilient supply chain infrastructure. He also negotiated and maintained high value contracts with sovereign mints, financial institutions, and global retail partners, and implemented automation and process improvements that strengthened margins and operational reliability.

Power began his career with Johnson Matthey Ltd., the Canadian division of UK based Johnson Matthey PLC. In 1997, he moved from Canada to the United States to join Sunshine Minting's senior management team, and in January 2007 he acquired 100% ownership of the company and became President and CEO. He maintains ongoing advisory relationships with Sunshine Minting.

"I'm honored to join Star Gold at such a pivotal moment," said Power. "The company's commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and disciplined growth aligns with my own values. I look forward to helping build the infrastructure and capabilities that will support Star Gold's next chapter."

Star Gold Corp. is conducting a Regulation A offering.

Fit Energy to Repurpose Former Mining Lands into a Fuel Cell Power Generation, Technology & Data Center Project in Newport Township

Former mining and aggregate site in Luzerne County to be redeveloped into a non-combustion fuel cell power generation and technology & data center project

NEWPORT TOWNSHIP, Pa., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fit Energy, a developer of reliable energy solutions for data center projects, today announced plans for a fuel cell power generation and data center project in Newport Township, Luzerne County, following Township zoning approval in August 2026 for both uses. Engineering and the remaining permitting work are now underway ahead of construction.

The project is planned on land that has already been mined and quarried, putting previously used industrial property back into productive use rather than developing untouched forests or farmland. The on-site power will be generated by natural gas fuel cells supplied by FuelCell Energy, Inc., a Connecticut-based manufacturer of utility-scale fuel cell technology, under its strategic agreement with Fit Energy. The fuel cells produce electricity quietly through an electrochemical process rather than combustion, which helps deliver cleaner energy with minimal impact on the surrounding community. On-site power generation will reduce the project's reliance on the regional power grid.

The site plan includes setbacks, landscaping, and screening designed to limit views of the site from nearby homes and local roads, demonstrating a focus on balancing energy infrastructure needs with community character.

The project includes investment in power, natural gas, water, and sewer infrastructure that will serve the site and add to local utility capacity and stability for the future. Construction is expected to create significant employment and business opportunities for contractors, skilled trades, and suppliers over a multi-year buildout. Once operational, the project is expected to support permanent skilled positions in operations, maintenance, security, facility management, and technology. The project is also expected to generate new tax revenue for Newport Township, the local school district, and Luzerne County.

Fit Energy is working with Newport Township on a Community Benefits Agreement that would create a formal framework for directing additional investment toward priorities identified by the community.

"The Newport Township Commissioners have been proactive in their response to promote development in appropriately zoned sections of the Township that respects community input and promotes investments that create new jobs and new local tax revenue that enhance the quality of life for all Township residents. We recognize Fit Energy has made significant commitment to this development, and we welcome the company's investment in our community and appreciate Fit Energy's willingness to work with the Township to address any and all community concerns," said Joe Hillan, Newport Township Manager.

Fit Energy intends to be an active member of the Newport Township community, working closely with Township officials and residents through permitting, construction, and operations. As part of that commitment, Fit Energy will host a public information session where residents can review the plans, ask questions, and hear directly from the project team. The date, time, and location will be announced at www.newportdatacenter.com, where residents can also submit questions, read answers to frequently asked questions, and follow project updates.

"A project like this is most successful when the community has the opportunity to hear directly from the people building it," said Joel Leonoff, Chief Executive Officer, Fit Energy. "We're committed to being transparent, answering questions and building a long-term relationship with Newport Township as we move through the next stages of this project."

About Fit Energy

Fit Energy is an energy infrastructure company focused on long-term ownership of generation assets, formed to deliver near-term, scaled energy solutions for the digital economy. Its platform serves large power requirements through behind-the-meter, microgrid, and grid-connected structures, using technologies ranging from fuel cells to natural gas turbines. SAS recognized for 3D digital twin technology that helps ensure the reliable flow of sterilized surgical instruments

CARY, N.C., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global data and AI leader SAS has been named to Fast Company's Next Big Things in Tech, an annual list recognizing breakthrough technologies with the potential to transform industries and shape the future. SAS is recognized in the Applied AI category for its digital twin technology used by Sterilcentral, Denmark's largest medical sterilization provider, to optimize the cleaning, logistics planning and delivery of surgical instruments across hospitals. These improvements ultimately help doctors get the tools they need, surgeries start on time and patients receive safer care.

"Digital twins represent a powerful new frontier for AI because they empower organizations to simulate, understand and move first," said SAS Chief Technology Officer Bryan Harris. "Our partnership with Sterilcentral is one example of how we are scaling this impact across every industry to give businesses a decision advantage."

The power of digital twins

A digital twin is a dynamic virtual replica of a real-world system, continuously updated with operational data so organizations can simulate processes, test scenarios and predict outcomes before making decisions.

Built on SAS® Viya® and enhanced with immersive 3D environments from Epic Games' Unreal Engine, SAS digital twins combine advanced analytics, machine learning, simulation and AI to focus on prediction and optimization rather than only architecture and design. By ingesting real-time data and generating robust synthetic data sets, they allow teams to run "what if" scenarios, identify bottlenecks and improve performance without disrupting live systems.

Safety in the moments that matter most

Sterilcentral's cutting-edge, fully automated sterilization facility supports approximately 1,000 surgeries each day across seven hospitals in Denmark's capital region. If the facility goes offline, the impact extends far beyond operational delays. Surgeries across the region could come to a standstill.

To better understand and optimize this mission-critical operation, Sterilcentral turned to SAS. SAS built a digital twin of key parts of the Herlev facility where thousands of instruments move through washing, drying, packaging and delivery each day.

The 3D model, enriched with real-world data and advanced analytics, allowed the team to find and resolve disruptions in the sterilization process. The same environment was also used to train computer vision models using synthetic data, helping ensure workers wear protective gear correctly to reduce the risk of contamination.

"SAS digital twins helped us challenge our assumptions about where delays were occurring," said Thomas Bogeskov, CEO of Sterilcentral. "This technology allowed us to pinpoint bottlenecks, test changes before they affect operations and improve the reliable flow of sterile instruments, ultimately helping patients receive the best, safest care possible. We're excited to see this work recognized not only for the impact it is having today, but for its potential to transform our industry in the years ahead."

Agreement expands counter-UAS portfolio with patented physical-capture and communications-isolation technology for defense, homeland security, and critical-infrastructure protection applications.

HOBOKEN, N.J., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocket One Inc. (Nasdaq: RKTO) ("Rocket One" or the "Company") today announced that it has signed a patent license agreement with the Department of the Air Force covering technology designed to capture hostile drones and isolate their communications, expanding the Company's counter-unmanned aircraft systems (counter-UAS) technology portfolio.

The 12-month Evaluation Patent License Agreement covers U.S. Patent No. 10,239,637 B2, "System and method for arresting and neutralizing unmanned vehicles." It grants Rocket One rights to evaluate the invention in the United States across applications including military-base protection, airports and airfields, homeland and border security, maritime and port security, critical infrastructure, correctional facilities, and government facilities.

The patented architecture combines physical containment with radio-frequency isolation. It describes a friendly drone deploying a containment unit around a target unmanned vehicle, with shielding designed to interrupt communications between the target and its operator. Additional configurations described in the patent may support localized spoofing, jamming and signal-intelligence functions.

"This agreement adds a patented approach to capturing and neutralizing hostile drones to Rocket One's defense technology portfolio," said Robb Knie, Chief Executive Officer of Rocket One. "Physical capture combined with communications isolation gives us a distinct capability to evaluate alongside Swarm Stage AI. Our focus is assessing how this technology could support protection of military installations, airports, borders, and critical infrastructure."

Rocket One plans to assess system configurations, testing requirements, and potential integration with its counter-UAS initiatives during the evaluation period. The Company sees potential to complement Swarm Stage AI, its drone-swarm threat-emulation and counter-UAS training platform, by evaluating a physical interception approach alongside simulated threat scenarios.

The capabilities described in the patent remain subject to evaluation and testing and do not represent demonstrated Rocket One product performance. The agreement provides evaluation rights only and does not authorize commercial sales. Any future commercialization would require additional rights and applicable approvals. The agreement is not a government procurement award and does not constitute Department of the Air Force endorsement of Rocket One or its products.

SHARx is Raising Up an Influential Rx Army

SHARx's Rising Tides brings together respected athletes and leaders to inspire a grassroots movement for prescription access and affordability into helping patients, families and employers see that longstanding barriers are not movable.

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sophie Cunningham stands with SHARx. (Watch Sophie Cunningham's Fair Play.) She is part of a team of respected athletes committed to lowering drug costs for all Americans.

Athlete endorsements are common, but SHARx CEO and co-founder Corey Durbin built Rising Tides to bring credible voices into the company's mission to lower prescription costs and inspire Americans to reject drug price gouging.

The program grew through relationships with athletes, broadcasters and civic leaders who wanted to raise awareness of prescription-access barriers and SHARx's work to make the system fairer.

"Our Rising Tides initiative happened through relationships," Durbin said. "Over time, every ambassador became a close friend of mine, and they loved the solution SHARx was providing for employers and their families. They all asked how they can get the word out about what we are doing."

Relationships Came Before the Program

Durbin describes the program's development as a slow burn fueled by a shared love of sports. Professional golfer Gary Hallberg introduced him to fellow golfer Steve Jones. Durbin met former NFL quarterback Brock Osweiler on a driving range before SHARx entered their conversations. Former NFL quarterback and three-term U.S. congressman Heath Shuler later embraced the company's work. Mike Kelly, longtime University of Missouri broadcaster, supported the mission and contacted Sophie Cunningham.

"These ambassadors are a collection of individuals coming together who have influence and are regularly around other people with influence," Durbin said. "They bought into what SHARx is and what we are doing. That is when it became clear that we could actually inspire people to join us on this journey."

For Durbin, character, credibility and a willingness to confront injustice matter more than reach.

"We are looking for people who are genuine," Durbin said. "They are not in it because they think they can make a few bucks. They actually buy into who we are and the impact we are making for our members and their families."

Team Experience Becomes Mission Experience

Durbin believes athletes understand shared responsibility. Cunningham, Osweiler, Shuler and broadcaster and former football player Kelly spent years in environments where success depended on trust and accountability.

"Playing a team sport and having people who rely on you, and who you rely on, helps people understand what it takes to accomplish meaningful objectives," Durbin said. "SHARx is a legitimate opportunity to be part of something special – breaking up a flawed system and giving the people a seat at the proverbial table."

Each ambassador illustrates part of the prescription-access problem. Cunningham uses her platform to stand with SHARx and make the prescription game fair. Osweiler brings personal family experience and growing television influence. Shuler connects athletic leadership with public policy and civic responsibility. Hallberg and Jones understand how medication affordability affects families and have built relationships throughout their careers.

"This is a passion of mine because it hits so close to home. Those closest to me have experienced the loss of loved ones because the high price of the drugs they needed made access impossible," Osweiler said. "SHARx makes a meaningful difference in lives every day, and I wanted to be a part of that movement."

Durbin said Osweiler's commitment to family and community makes him an ideal ambassador. He also understands that Americans cannot continue paying what RAND estimates to be 422% more than other countries for brand-name drugs.

The Rising Tides podcast gives ambassadors an informal forum to discuss what troubles them about prescription affordability.

"The ambassadors are not expected to become pharmaceutical experts," Durbin said. "They can ask many of the same questions patients and employers are asking: Why does a medication cost so much? Why is access so difficult? What choices are available?"

Awareness Should Lead to Agency

SHARx wants patients, families, employers and benefits advisers to understand that medication-sourcing decisions can improve access to high-cost prescriptions. Rising Tides aims to move people from attention to action.

SHARx supports prescription access through supply-chain management, prescription procurement and member education. Working with employer-sponsored health plans, the company evaluates multiple sourcing pathways for expensive and specialty medications. Rising Tides explains why this work matters, while SHARx provides a way to act.

Durbin expects the ambassador community to expand beyond sports to people with academic, clinical and enterprise experience. Participants must bring credibility, a connection to the mission and a belief that better access is possible.

"We are here to make sure we do not continue to take inflated drug prices and say, 'I guess we just have to find more money to pay for them,'" Durbin said. "At the end of the day, we want to see people get healthy. We want to see them get well."

About SHARx

SHARx is a procurement and supply-chain management solution for high-cost prescription drugs. Working alongside employer-sponsored health plans, SHARx helps employers address the financial impact of expensive and specialty medications while providing members with personalized advocacy and access to cost-effective sourcing solutions. SHARx evaluates multiple sourcing pathways with the goal of making prescription access more affordable, predictable and sustainable.
