CATCH Greater Houston Wins Two of Ten National Health at Home Challenge Awards

Recognition brings expanded home-based care to Houstonians covered by both Medicare and Medicaid

HOUSTON, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CATCH Greater Houston is part of two of the ten teams named Phase 1 winners of the Health at Home Challenge, a national competition of the Administration for Community Living (ACL) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CATCH won as a community care hub within the national consortium led by the Oregon Wellness Network, which spans eight hubs in eight states, and as designated lead of the Texas Hub Network, a statewide consortium formed with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

The Challenge supports independence, improves health, and reduces costs for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries who are dually eligible or near-dually eligible — older adults and people with disabilities living with multiple chronic conditions and at least one functional limitation. ACL aims to reach up to one million of them nationally through advanced community care networks led by community care hubs.

Both teams advanced to Phase 2, the Implementation Accelerator, running August 2026 through July 2027. ACL will select up to five Phase 2 winners, and only those teams advance to Phase 3 scaling awards in August 2027.

"Houston is not just participating in this work — we are helping lead it. For the people we serve, that means more days at home, fewer trips back to the hospital, and someone whose job it is to make their care make sense. Our founding partners believed in this model first, and our health systems chose to build it with us," said Janice Sparks, Executive Director of CATCH Greater Houston.

What This Means for Greater Houston

CATCH delivers this work with committed health care partners across the region — the Houston Health Department, Memorial Hermann Health System, Harris Health, the CommonSpirit Baylor St. Luke's accountable care organization, and UT Physicians. Hospitals, primary care practices, and health plans refer patients directly to CATCH, which provides the Challenge's five core services: navigation, care coordination and management, care transitions, evidence-based health promotion, and nutrition.

In practice, that means dually eligible and near-dually eligible Houstonians get help returning home safely after a hospital or nursing facility stay, care plans supported by nurses and community health workers, fall prevention and chronic disease programs close to home, and meals delivered to their door.

One Shared Record

All eight hubs in the national consortium will operate on a single shared AthenaOne electronic medical record — a first for community-based care at this scale — with analytics that help care teams identify at-risk individuals earlier and measure what matters: days spent at home and the total cost of care. The UTHealth Houston School of Public Health will independently evaluate outcomes nationwide.

Houston-area residents and families can learn more at www.catchgh.org or call 832-509-6141.

About CATCH Greater Houston

CATCH Greater Houston is a non-profit community care hub founded by the Houston Health Department, the Ibn Sina Foundation, the Houston Health Foundation, and the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. CATCH organizes community-based organizations across greater Houston to deliver care coordination, care transitions, social-needs screening, and evidence-based health promotion in partnership with the region's hospitals, health systems, and health plans.

The Health at Home Challenge is administered by the Administration for Community Living. This announcement does not imply endorsement by ACL, HHS, or the federal government.

In this role, he will lead growth efforts and build client partnerships with terminal, marine, and industrial operators across the Northeast.

Popovich brings more than 18 years of experience in bulk liquid and dry bulk marine terminal operations. His background covers petroleum and third-party cargo handling, safety and environmental compliance, capital planning, and maintenance coordination. That hands-on experience gives him a clear view of the regulatory, safety, and operational pressures terminal and industrial clients face every day.

Before joining Boston Green Company, Popovich served as Director of Operations at Sprague Operating Resources LLC. In that role, he oversaw bulk liquid and dry bulk operations at five terminals in New Hampshire and Maine, led and mentored more than 100 terminal personnel and site leaders, and managed annual operating budgets exceeding $30 million. He also coordinated more than $5 million in capital projects each year and partnered with HSE teams, regulators, and emergency management organizations on compliance and emergency preparedness programs.

Popovich built his career from the ground up. He started as an operator in Everett, Massachusetts, in 2008 and advanced through terminal supervisor and terminal manager roles in New York, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology, with a minor in Business Management, from Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston.

"Dmitro brings a level of firsthand operational expertise that is rare in business development," said Adam Dennison, CEO of Boston Green Company. Popovich expressed equal enthusiasm for the opportunity. "Boston Green's commitment to safety, compliance, and delivering real results for clients aligns perfectly with the way I've approached my entire career," said Popovich. "I look forward to working alongside their team to help terminal operators, marine facilities, and industrial clients build smarter, more sustainable environmental programs that keep their operations running safely and efficiently."

In his new position, Popovich will work closely with terminal operators, marine facilities, and industrial clients to design customized environmental and material handling programs. He will focus on strengthening Boston Green Company's presence in the terminal and marine sectors while delivering the responsive, reliable service the company is known for.

Cibola County Commissioners Support In-Situ Recovery of Uranium Technology
Image File
Original HTML

GRANTS, NEW MEXICO, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Clean Energy Association of New Mexico (CLEAN) today congratulates the Cibola County Board of Commissioners which, through a County resolution, recognized the strategic importance of the Grants Mineral Belt and In-Situ Recovery ("ISR") for uranium extraction. CLEAN also acknowledges the leadership of the Cibola County Board of Commissioners in voting to approve the resolution.

CLEAN President, Janet Lee-Sheriff, stated "Addressing historic legacy issues has always been a key message from CLEAN as we move forward with environmentally-responsible solutions to extract naturally-occurring uranium from contaminated sources. The support of local citizens and their elected officials is critical and CLEAN greatly appreciates the research conducted by Cibola County officials and staff to make an informed decision based on sound information. ISR uranium extraction has the potential to safely remove uranium without tailings or underground workings, while bringing economic benefits to the State, communities and its citizens."

As ISR projects move forward, State and federal regulators oversee a highly regulated process that allows for public comment on all projects. Necessary independent research and analysis is gathered and reviewed by regulatory agencies with public forums convened to ensure citizens are provided with necessary information for good decision-making. Decisions, such as the support of the Cibola County Board of Commissioners are important as they allow for thorough, balanced and complete information to be presented to the regulators and public.

About In-Situ Recovery Technology

In-Situ Recovery ("ISR") was developed in the United States over 50 years ago and is responsible for approximately 60% of all uranium extraction in the world. ISR offers a minimally intrusive, eco-friendly, and economically competitive approach to mineral extraction successfully utilized in Texas, Nebraska, Wyoming as well as numerous locations globally. Unlike traditional mining, ISR utilizes wellfield technology to extract uranium from ISR-amenable, sandstone-hosted deposits, eliminating the need for open pits, underground working and tailings. The nuclear energy industry is the most highly regulated industry in the United States and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has stated that there has never been an incident of the contamination of drinking water from the ISR process.1

About the Clean Energy Association of New Mexico

The Clean Energy Association of New Mexico (CLEAN) provides education, awareness, and innovative tools to support a strong and safe nuclear energy sector needed to fuel the U.S. nuclear renaissance. CLEAN advocates for responsible uranium extraction and recovery through In-Situ Recovery ("ISR"), working to build sustainable socio-economic benefits for local communities and the State while respecting the land, water, air, and people. CLEAN hosted the inaugural Nuclear in New Mexico conference in April 2026 and will host the 2nd annual conference in May 2027.

REHOVOT, Israel, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Evogene Ltd. (Nasdaq: EVGN) (TASE: EVGN), a pioneer in computational chemistry specializing in the generative design of small molecules for the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries, today announced that it has entered into a comprehensive cooperation agreement (the "Agreement") with L.I.A. Pure Capital Ltd. and Invest Pro Shukai Hon Ltd. (together, the "Pure Capital Group") to resolve all outstanding differences between the parties. The agreement is intended to establish long-term operational stability and empower Evogene to focus entirely on its goal of becoming a world leader in AI-driven small-molecule discovery and optimization for the pharmaceutical and ag-chemical industries.

Subsequent to the Annual General Meeting of Evogene convened on September 4, 2026 (the "Meeting"), the Pure Capital Group asserted various claims concerning the voting results of the Meeting, as published by the Company in its Report of Foreign Private Issuer on Form 6-K dated September 4, 2026. Furthermore, on September 8, 2026, the Pure Capital Group served notice to the Company of its intention to initiate a special tender offer pursuant to Section 328 of the Israeli Companies Law, 5759-1999 (the "Companies Law").

Following constructive negotiations and discussions, Evogene and the Pure Capital Group reached an agreement that the Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board") unanimously determined to be in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders. The Agreement resolves all disputes, avoids a prolonged, disruptive, and expensive legal process, and affords the Company the stability to continue advancing its current business strategy, commercial collaborations, and technology development centered on ChemPass AI™.

Key Terms of the Cooperation Agreement

Under the terms of the Agreement, two current directors, Dr. Yael Margolin and Mr. Yoshinori Oikawa, who resigned from the Board will be replaced by Pure Capital Group nominees Dr. Adi Zuluf-Shani and Mr. Oz Adler. Promptly following execution, the Company will convene a general meeting of shareholders, to be held no later than forty-two (42) days following execution, to elect Dr. Zuluf-Shani and Mr. Adler as directors to the Board, to approve the Agreement, including the mutual waivers and releases and mutual non-disparagement covenants set forth therein, and, subject to such approval, to approve the election of two additional Pure Capital Group nominees, Mr. Itay Maroz and Mr. Shahar Zadok, in place of outgoing directors Mr. Dan Falk and Dr. Adrian Percy. Following shareholder approval, the reconstituted Board will comprise seven directors, including four nominated by the Pure Capital Group and three continuing directors (Mr. Ofer Haviv, Mr. Nir Nimrodi, and Mr. Leon Y. Recanati) who will serve during a transition period currently expected to be up to six months, unless otherwise agreed by the Board in consultation with the Pure Capital Group. Following that transition period, if any continuing director has not tendered his resignation from the Board, the Board may convene a general meeting of shareholders to remove that continuing director. In addition, the Pure Capital Group has agreed to formally withdraw its notice regarding the special tender offer and enter into a 60-day standstill period, during which the Company has also agreed to refrain from issuing shares or convertible securities, including through its at-the-market facility, other than issuances to employees in the ordinary course of business and in line with prior business practice.

Deal Facilitated by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A managed IT and cybersecurity services provider serving small and mid-sized businesses in Florida has been acquired by a strategic buyer, bringing together complementary IT industry expertise and further building upon a platform for continued growth.

"Delivering outcomes like this for business owners is what drives our Florida team," said Larry Lawson II, President, Viking Florida Division. "Tripp, Jacob, and Dylan guided every step of this process and brought together a seller and buyer well-positioned for long-term success."

For over 15 years, the company has grown from a traditional Managed Services Provider (MSP) into a full Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP). Built as a business known for responsiveness, personalized service, and security solutions tailored to each client, much of the company's growth came through referrals and long-term client relationships, supported by an experienced team that manages day-to-day service delivery. The company's clients include non-profit organizations, law firms, and family-owned medical practices that rely on responsive, security-focused IT support.

The buyer is an established managed IT services provider with a multi-state footprint, already serving nonprofit, financial, and healthcare clients. Together, the shared focus on IT services and preserving the legacy of the companies they acquire created a strong strategic fit, positioning the business for continued growth in Florida and nationwide.

The transaction was facilitated by the Viking Mergers & Acquisitions team: Larry "Tripp" Lawson III, Partner, Jacob Middleton, Associate Partner, and Dylan Bradley, Associate Advisor, who represented the seller throughout the sale process. From engagement to close, the transaction took approximately six months, reflecting growing buyer demand for IT solutions companies in the lower-middle market.

"We ran a disciplined process, kept the right buyers at the table, and gave our client real choices. That's what made the difference here," said Tripp Lawson. "We're proud to have delivered a smooth transition for the seller, their team, and the company's clients."
