Beyond Now launches agentic platform to power CSPs growth in the agentic economy

The Beyond Now Agentic Revenue & Ecosystem Orchestration Platform brings revenue, multi-party ecosystems and agentic AI together across the entire revenue lifecycle — helping CSPs and technology providers turn AI disruption into growth.

DUBLIN, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Beyond Now launched its Agentic Revenue & Ecosystem Orchestration Platform, enabling Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and technology providers to create, sell and monetize their own, partner and AI-powered services. The platform uses native agents to maximize revenue from their core business, grow through ecosystems, and succeed in a world of AI and increasingly agent-to-agent interactions.

AI is transforming CSPs' and technology providers' revenue lifecycle, creating new growth opportunities — from sovereign AI and GPU-as-a-service to AI applications, services and agents — and new ways to monetize them through usage, tokens and outcomes. But capturing these opportunities requires a new operating model. As agents increasingly work alongside people and systems, CSPs and technology companies need to expose and package their own assets, partner capabilities, AI services and models into intent-based propositions. These must be discoverable, assembled, sold, fulfilled and monetized at speed by people and increasingly by agents.

"AI is creating enormous growth opportunities, yet CSPs have so far captured just 2% of AI revenue. What's holding them back isn't a lack of opportunity, it's the lack of a commercial platform to execute on it and turn AI into real revenue growth," said Angus Ward, CEO of Beyond Now. "While much of the market is focused on building agent environments, agent platforms and agent orchestration models, we believe the bigger opportunity is leveraging agentic AI to grow the business you have today and capture what comes next. That's the thinking behind our new Agentic Revenue & Ecosystem Orchestration Platform: bringing revenue and ecosystems together in a native agentic environment, so CSPs and technology providers can compete for a greater share of the fast-growing agentic economy."

The platform connects capabilities traditionally fragmented across siloed IT and BSS environments and makes them available for people, systems and AI agents to act on through one commercial foundation. Its headless architecture, shared catalog, single data model and centralized commercial rules connect customers, products, partners, pricing, orders and services, giving people and agents the context to turn customer intent into personalized propositions, execute across the revenue lifecycle and increasingly transact agent-to-agent. For CSPs, this means moving from product to quote, order, fulfillment and cash faster, and automating more work with governed agent autonomy and human oversight. It also means making better use of existing assets and partner capabilities to respond to customer and market opportunities at greater speed and scale.

The platform is composable, modular, multi-tenant and event-driven, with open APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) support. Organizations can deploy capabilities alongside existing technology and expand over time, providing a path to agentic transformation without requiring wholesale replacement of core IT and BSS systems.

The platform is designed around three connected growth priorities:

- Maximize revenue: Turn customer intent into revenue faster by connecting discovery, selling, fulfillment and monetization, supporting everything from dynamic bundling, subscriptions and usage to outcomes, AI consumption and tokens.

- Multiply ecosystems: Combine first-party assets, partner capabilities and AI services into multi-party propositions, co-create and co-sell with solution and channel partners, and scale B2B2X models. Orchestrate orders, fulfillment, monetization and settlement across the multi-party ecosystem.

- Accelerate with agentic AI: Agentic AI is native to the platform, putting role-based agents to work across the revenue lifecycle alongside people and systems. Organizations can also build or bring their own agents and models, with the orchestration, business context and governance needed for agents to act individually or together.

Beyond Now works with CSPs and technology companies around the world, including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, NTT and Verizon. The platform supports B2C, B2B and B2B2X business models.

United Nations Spotlight Initiative launches Sync or Storm, a new interactive game to help prevent violence against women and girls before it starts

Built on Equimundo: Center for Masculinity & Social Justice's research into boyhood and masculinity, the game aims to raise awareness among young people about the attitudes and behaviours that contribute towards violence against women and girls.

NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The United Nations Spotlight Initiative has introduced Sync or Storm, an immersive adventure game for young people, as part of the #WithHer digital advocacy campaign to build awareness, encourage positive intervention, and advance efforts to end violence against women and girls.

With nearly one in three women experiencing violence during their lifetime, the need for prevention is critical. As digital spaces become an increasingly important part of young people's lives, Sync or Storm reaches kids where they already spend their time, using interactive gameplay to encourage positive behaviours and collaborative problem-solving.

"Gaming has become an important space where young people connect, interact and shape how they see the world," said Koye Adeboye, Head of Communications for the United Nations Spotlight Initiative. "Through this campaign, we aim to reach some of the estimated 43 million Roblox users under the age of 13 who play every day. If we are serious about preventing violence before it starts, we need to engage young people in the spaces where they spend their time."

Developed by Bad Ape in collaboration with Equimundo and Spotlight Initiative, the interactive game encourages young players to reflect on how their actions affect others.

The game's foundation is informed by Equimundo's Man Box research in the US, UK and Mexico, which found that those with the most rigid views of manhood were up to five times more likely to bully or sexually harass others, and were also more likely to report depression and suicidal thoughts (Hill et al., 2020). The Global Early Adolescent Study also surveyed 10–14-year-olds globally and showed that gender norms are already entrenched by early adolescence.

Caroline Hayes, Senior Technical Specialist, Digital Strategies at Equimundo, said: "Boys don't form harmful ideas about manhood in isolation; they absorb them from the culture around them, including the games they play. Sync or Storm shows boys at a formative age that respect and cooperation are expressions of strength. That's exactly the kind of prevention work we need more of."

Sync or Storm is now available on Roblox.

Linux Foundation Europe Report Finds Digital Sovereignty Drives European Tech Strategy, but Governance and AI Strain Present Major Hurdles

European organizations report strong returns from open source as AI adoption, regulation and technology sovereignty reshape software strategy

PRAGUE, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Open Source Summit Europe – The Linux Foundation, the non-profit organisation enabling mass innovation through open source, today released the 2026 State of Open Source in Europe report in collaboration with LF Europe, LF Research and NeoNephos. The fifth annual report revealed that digital sovereignty is now firmly embedded in European technology strategy. Ninety-four percent of organizations say digital sovereignty is important, including 61% that consider it very important, while organizations with advanced open source governance report an average return of more than 4x their investment, compared with 3.6x among organizations without formal governance.

The findings point to a critical next step: European organizations seeking greater control over their technology supply chains must move beyond simply consuming open source software and participate in the openly governed ecosystems that develop and sustain it. European developers account for nearly 40% of contributions to foundational infrastructure projects including Kubernetes and OpenStack. At the same time, 94% of organizations are using or piloting generative AI coding tools, 48% maintain private forks of open source projects and 63% have increased investment in open source dependency management in response to regulatory pressure.

"Europe has clearly heard the message on digital sovereignty. The next step is participation," said Thierry Carrez, general manager, Linux Foundation Europe. "Open source gives organizations a way to reduce dependence on any single vendor or country, but consuming open source alone doesn't give you effective control over the technology. By contributing upstream and participating in open governance, European organizations can achieve greater autonomy, efficiently leveraging the global open source technology commons."

Additional findings from the 2026 report include:

- Governance remains uneven: 31% of European organizations still lack a formal open source governance framework, highlighting a gap between widespread adoption and strategic management of open source.

- AI is increasing the value of open source: 76% say generative AI coding tools increase the value they receive from open source, while 48% have increased their open source usage as a result.

- Private forks carry significant maintenance costs: Organizations maintaining private forks spend an average of 311 hours per release cycle patching 9.5 forks, while 28% cannot track those costs at all.

- Open source strengthens technical talent: 76% say open source involvement improves engineering skills and 53% say it supports recruitment and retention.

"Five years of research confirms how critical open source is to Europe's tech landscape," said Hilary Carter, senior vice president of research, Linux Foundation. "With the 2026 Tech Sovereignty Package expected to spur €2 billion in digital infrastructure investment, realizing that value requires more than adopting software – it demands strong governance and active community contribution."

SciBase resolves on a set-off issue of shares to the guarantor in connection with the completed rights issue

STOCKHOLM, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SciBase Holding AB (publ) ("SciBase" or the "Company") has today, on 7 October 2026, resolved on a set-off issue of 60,000 shares to Bergs Securities AB ("Bergs Securities") in its capacity as guarantor in the Company's recently completed rights issue of shares (the "Rights Issue"), for part of the guarantee compensation, in accordance with the terms of the guarantee commitment announced on 3 September 2026 (the "Compensation Issue"). The resolution by the Board of Directors has been made pursuant to the authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2026. The subscription price amounts to SEK 15 per share, corresponding to the subscription price in the Rights Issue, and payment for the shares has been made by way of set-off against the part of Bergs Securities' claim, amounting to SEK 0.9 million, for guarantee compensation that they elected to receive in the form of new shares. All shares in the Compensation Issue have been subscribed for and allotted.

NOT FOR RELEASE, DISTRIBUTION OR PUBLICATION, WHETHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, IN OR INTO THE UNITED STATES, AUSTRALIA, BELARUS, CANADA, HONG KONG, JAPAN, NEW ZEALAND, RUSSIA, SINGAPORE, SOUTH AFRICA, SOUTH KOREA OR ANY OTHER JURISDICTION IN WHICH SUCH DISTRIBUTION WOULD REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PROSPECTUSES, REGISTRATION OR OTHER MEASURES BEYOND THOSE REQUIRED UNDER SWEDISH LAW, IS PROHIBITED OR WOULD OTHERWISE BE CONTRARY TO APPLICABLE RULES IN SUCH JURISDICTION, OR CANNOT BE MADE WITHOUT THE APPLICATION OF AN EXEMPTION FROM SUCH MEASURES. SEE THE SECTION "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" AT THE END OF THIS PRESS RELEASE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

Background

On 3 September 2026, the Board of Directors of SciBase resolved on the Rights Issue, the outcome of which was announced on 1 October 2026. In connection with the Rights Issue, Bergs Securities provided a guarantee commitment of approximately SEK 24.2 million. For the guarantee commitment, guarantee compensation is payable amounting to 10 percent of the guaranteed amount in cash or, alternatively, 12 percent of the guaranteed amount in newly issued shares in the Company at a subscription price corresponding to the subscription price in the Rights Issue. The guarantee compensation shall, according to the guarantee agreement, be paid in full or in part in either form.

Bergs Securities has notified the Company that it wishes to receive part of the guarantee compensation, totalling SEK 0.9 million, in the form of newly issued shares.

The Compensation Issue

In order to fulfil the Company's contractual obligation towards the guarantor, the Board of Directors has today, pursuant to the authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2026, resolved on the Compensation Issue. The subscription price amounts to SEK 15 per share, which corresponds to the subscription price in the Rights Issue. Payment for the shares is made by way of set-off against part of Bergs Securities' claim for guarantee compensation of SEK 0.9 million. All shares in the Compensation Issue have been subscribed for and allotted.

Reasons for the deviation from the shareholders' preferential rights

The reason for the deviation from the shareholders' preferential rights is to fulfil the Company's obligation towards Bergs Securities under the guarantee agreement entered into in connection with the Rights Issue. The Board of Directors considers it to be in the interest of the Company and its shareholders that part of the guarantee compensation is paid in the form of newly issued shares rather than in cash, as the Company thereby retains cash that can be used in its operations. The terms of the guarantee compensation, including the possibility to receive the compensation in newly issued shares and the maximum number of shares that could be issued, were announced in connection with the resolution on the Rights Issue on 3 September 2026.

The subscription price in the Compensation Issue was determined through arm's length negotiations between the Company and Bergs Securities when the letter of intent regarding the guarantee commitment was entered into, and corresponds to the subscription price in the Rights Issue. Against this background, the Board of Directors considers the subscription price to be on market terms.

Number of shares, share capital and dilution

Through the Compensation Issue, the number of shares in SciBase increases by 60,000 shares, from 14,059,787 shares to 14,119,787 shares, and the share capital increases by SEK 300,000, from SEK 70,298,935 to SEK 70,598,935, calculated following registration of the Rights Issue with the Swedish Companies Registration Office. The Compensation Issue entails a dilution of approximately 0.4 percent of the number of shares and votes in the Company.

Advisers

SciBase has engaged Bergs Securities and Birchtree Advisory as financial advisers and BAHR as legal adviser in connection with the Rights Issue. Bergs Securities is also acting as issuing agent in connection with the Rights Issue.

New open framework drives industry-wide alignment on SBOM practices in light of increasing regulatory and cybersecurity requirements within automotive ecosystem

PRAGUE, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Open Source Summit Europe – The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today announced the release of the OpenChain Automotive Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) Framework 1.0, an open framework that defines a common approach for creating and sharing high-quality SBOMs tailored to the automotive industry.

As software becomes increasingly critical to modern vehicles, organizations are under growing pressure to improve visibility into software components and dependencies while meeting evolving regulatory and cybersecurity requirements. The OpenChain Automotive SBOM Framework provides a practical baseline that can be adopted and refined across the industry in order to meet these challenges facing the automotive industry.

Key elements of the framework include:

- A defined structure for describing software components and dependencies in Automotive SBOMs

- Guidance on required and recommended data fields, including completeness and quality criteria

- Alignment with existing SBOM standards such as SPDX (ISO/IEC 5962)

- Usage scenarios for suppliers and OEMs, including data exchange across the automotive supply chain

The framework provides guidance on how software component information should be described and exchanged using established formats, enabling suppliers and OEMs to produce SBOMs that meet shared expectations for completeness, consistency, and usability. It is designed to support practical use cases including software transparency, supply chain communication, and regulatory readiness.

"As software-defined vehicles grow in complexity, improving transparency and traceability across software components is becoming essential," said Mary Meixia Wang, General Manager of the OpenChain Project. "This first release provides practical guidance and helps advance more consistent SBOM practices across the automotive ecosystem."

The initiative began with early discussions between Keisuke Takase (Toyota), Ayumi Watanabe (Hitachi Solutions, Ltd.), and Masato Endo (Chair, OpenChain Automotive Working Group), reflecting a shared commitment to improving software transparency, traceability, and productivity in the automotive industry. It has since grown through collaboration with organizations, industry associations, and subject matter experts across the automotive and software ecosystems. Their input helped identify common challenges and shape a practical, broadly applicable framework grounded in real-world needs and emerging industry expectations.

The Automotive SBOM Project is part of the OpenChain Automotive Working Group and is designed to complement existing standards such as SPDX (ISO/IEC 5962). The framework does not replace these standards, but instead provides guidance on how they can be applied consistently within the automotive industry.

The project is open to participation from organizations and individuals worldwide and will continue to evolve based on industry feedback and adoption. To learn more about the OpenChain Project and visit the website or access the OpenChain Automotive SBOM Framework, here.

Major Banks Back OSERA to Deliver Industry Wide Remediation Standards and Fixes to Secure Open Source Software
Image File
Original HTML

Within 100 days, OSERA welcomed 6 Premier members, established an open standard for AI-scale remediation and attestation of vulnerabilities in open source software, and delivered patches for more than 50 commonly used projects in the Java ecosystem.

PRAGUE, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Open Source Summit Europe – The Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS), the financial services vertical of the Linux Foundation, today announced at Open Source Summit Europe that the Open Source Enterprise Resiliency Alliance (OSERA) is operational. Initial funding comes from six Premier members including Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, NatWest, and Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

Financial institutions rely heavily on similar open source software stacks. When a security vulnerability is discovered in one of these widely used projects, banks can end up developing or commissioning the same fixes separately OSERA addresses these redundancies by giving financial institutions a shared, open and transparent way to identify, fix and verify vulnerabilities in the open source software they rely on. By working together, members can reduce duplicated effort while helping strengthen the software that underpins the financial services industry.

What's available today

Following the intent-to-form announcement in June, in a matter of weeks, OSERA delivered:

- An open standard for fixing and verifying vulnerabilities: Within 3 weeks of operation, OSERA released the first version of its patching and attestation standard, developed through collaboration between financial institutions, patch producers and open source infrastructure leaders. The standard sets out the requirements a fix must adhere to before it can be trusted and used at scale, helping organizations adopt fixes more consistently and with greater confidence.

- First wave of high value patched projects: The alliance prioritized and delivered secure package updates with standard attestations across more than 50 widely used open source projects in the Spring and Java ecosystems. These remediations addressed publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities (CVE) and are available for immediate production usage by OSERA members. Moving forward, vendor maintainers will address newly disclosed vulnerabilities on these managed lines under a severity-based software license agreement (SLA).

"An open, verifiable standard for remediation delivers trust at scale," said Dov Katz, Managing Director and Distinguished Engineer at Morgan Stanley, and Chair of the OSERA Remediation Standards Working Group. "That v0.1 was able to be published so efficiently shows the sector's desire to set its own high standard for what a patch must prove before anyone consumes it. This is especially critical to enable actual risk mitigation in production, as the industry at large is consuming open source from the community and from multiple patch vendors and coalitions."

To review the supported lines and the Remediation Standards, review the OSERA Prospectus.

A sovereign option for open source supply chain resiliency in the era of AI

Because financial institutions often rely on the same open source software, addressing vulnerabilities independently creates unnecessary cost and duplication across the industry. This is compounded by research showing that 1 in 5 financial institutions have separate teams maintaining private versions of the same projects, creating a "fork tax" that increases maintenance costs and technology risk.

As cyber threats evolve, addressing known vulnerabilities quickly and consistently is increasingly important. OSERA provides an open, member-governed approach that enables financial institutions, technology providers and maintainers to coordinate vulnerability responses that strengthen the open source software the industry relies on.

New resiliency regulations such as DORA, NIS2 and the EU Cyber Resilience Act are increasing expectations for global institutions to demonstrate robust, repeatable approaches to managing software vulnerabilities across complex technology ecosystems. OSERA can work alongside existing commercial and community support models: its source code is public, its governance is member-led under the Linux Foundation, and its standards are open. Recent efforts also demonstrate that organizations can use the service without changing their existing development processes, using existing proxies and package coordinates without requiring CI changes.

"OSERA turns open source resiliency from a fragmented internal burden into a collective operational capability and we are proving it with fast delivery this year, not a roadmap," said Gabriele Columbro, Executive Director of FINOS. "Upstream initiatives like Akrites secure the commons. OSERA is the regulated downstream: signed, standards-gated remediation delivered into production environments, on terms the industry itself sets."

Looking ahead

The alliance has defined a target delivery schedule through the end of 2026:

- Produce a minimum of 80 patches per month. Under the alliance's SLA, vendor maintainer Moderne will deliver patches to a secured platform with quarantine gates, being built by open source security experts ControlPlane. Growing participation from HeroDevs, RapidFort, Sonatype and Scott Logic will continue to develop the standardization process and accelerate production use of supported software versions.

- Deliver the first end-to-end release of the OSERA platform at the Open Source in Finance Forum NY in November. This is expected to continue driving down the cost per patch, enabling increased software coverage and capacity to respond to increases in AI vulnerabilities.

- Develop a per-project sponsorship model that lets firms directly fund and boost projects they depend on, in addition to the common pool prioritization.

- Collaborate with sister initiatives like Akrites. OSERA is highly complementary to Linux Foundation initiatives like Akrites, and will promote collaboration on remediation standards, and financial services priorities to compound value and avoid duplication.

Designed for every industry constituent

OSERA offers an open-first, transparent operational model suitable for everyone. While OSERA addresses a critical need for financial institutions, it is designed to provide benefits for all constituents in the software supply chain, from commercial patch producers to software composition analysis and registry vendors.

To get involved:

- Financial institutions should join as OSERA members to consume financial services-grade hardened releases.

- Open source infrastructure vendors should become FINOS members to actively contribute to and ultimately adopt the remediation standards, ensuring their offerings meet the financial industry's needs.

- Commercial maintainers and patch producers should also consider becoming FINOS members to participate in remediation standards and be eligible to become vendor maintainers under alliance SLAs.

- Everyone can rebuild fixeson GitHub as hardened project lines.

Supporting Quotes

Peter Thomas, Managing Director, Distinguished Engineer, Deutsche Bank:

"The strength of OSERA lies in its practical execution inside existing enterprise environments. In our initial pilots, we proved that banks can pull hardened, standard-compliant releases through standard corporate proxies with zero friction to existing development pipelines. Replacing duplicate internal patching efforts with a shared, high-trust pipeline is a huge win for the industry."

Abe Batthish, Vice President, DevOps, RBC:

"So much of what we build runs on open source, and we want to help keep it safe and viable for everyone in the industry. RBC is excited to help lead the governance of OSERA's backpatching pipelines, holding vendor maintainers to clear standards and SLAs so every fix meets the same bar no matter who produces it."
