DFSK Celebrates 20 Years in Peru with the Launch of E5 PLUS

LIMA, Peru, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DFSK celebrated its 20th anniversary in Peru with the official launch of the E5 PLUS, a seven-seat plug-in hybrid SUV. Held in Lima, the event brought together company representatives, local dealers, media and business partners to mark two decades of the brand's presence in Peru and introduce its next chapter.

The event also marked the introduction of DFSK's refreshed global brand direction, "DRIVES FOR BETTER," reflecting its commitment to delivering better products and services to customers.

20 Years in Peru: A New Chapter Begins

DFSK first entered the Peruvian market in 2006 with commercial vehicles. Over the following two decades, the brand expanded into passenger vehicles and, more recently, new energy vehicles, while establishing a local sales and after-sales service network.

Today, DFSK operates 27 authorized dealerships across Lima and other major cities in Peru. As part of SERES Group, DFSK continues to expand its new energy vehicle offerings in the market.

"This year marks DFSK's 20th anniversary in Peru — a milestone, but also a new beginning. DFSK understands this market, believes in its potential, and remains firmly committed to investing in its future," said Xie Mingru, DFSK Representative.

The anniversary reflects DFSK's journey from commercial vehicles to passenger vehicles and its ongoing transition toward new energy mobility, marking a new stage in the brand's development in Peru.

E5 PLUS: More Possibilities for Family Travel

The E5 PLUS combines plug-in hybrid technology, a spacious seven-seat interior and extended driving range, offering Peruvian families greater flexibility for everyday commuting and longer journeys.

Equipped with the SERES Super Hybrid system, the SUV offers an NEDC-rated all-electric driving range of up to 142 km and a combined driving range of up to 1,200 km. The combination of electric driving capability and extended range is designed to accommodate a variety of travel needs, from daily city driving to family road trips.

At the launch, guests explored the E5 PLUS through three interactive experience zones highlighting its key features.

An outdoor camping display demonstrated the vehicle's external power supply capability, powering equipment including lighting, a projector and cooking appliances.

A cargo demonstration showcased the SUV's interior space and storage versatility, while an interactive display illustrated its extended driving range and potential fuel cost savings.

The event also welcomed Milett Figueroa, who was introduced as the DFSK E5 PLUS product ambassador. She joined guests at the launch and shared her impressions of the vehicle's design, technology and comfort.

Building on Two Decades of Trust

The launch of the E5 PLUS marks another step in DFSK's development in Peru, bringing a plug-in hybrid SUV to customers seeking a combination of space, driving range and everyday practicality.

Under its "DRIVES FOR BETTER" brand direction, DFSK will continue to focus on providing reliable products and quality services, while developing new energy mobility solutions for customers in Peru.

For DFSK, the 20th anniversary is both a celebration of its history in Peru and the beginning of a new chapter. Building on its established local network and customer relationships, the brand remains committed to growing alongside Peruvian customers and delivering products and services that meet their changing needs.

Global CEOs to explore new opportunities in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A news report from english.shanghai.gov.cn:

The 38th meeting of the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai will take place in Shanghai on Oct 10 and 11, bringing together business leaders from China and abroad to discuss service sector innovation and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

As Shanghai businesses look to go global, multinational companies are seeking deeper cooperation with Chinese enterprises and further opportunities in the Chinese market. Since last year's meeting, more than 20 IBLAC member companies have identified new investment projects, according to preliminary statistics.

Global expansion

A dedicated session will explore how IBLAC members can support Chinese companies expanding overseas through their international experience and service networks.

Tan Su Shan, CEO of DBS Group and an IBLAC member, said the bank's presence in China and Southeast Asia enables it to support Chinese companies going global through financial technology, regional connectivity and cross-border renminbi solutions.

Tan Limin, chairman of Shanghai-based Westwell, said his company hopes to learn from international peers about long-term strategic management, global innovation networks and cross-cultural organizational development.

AI cooperation

Artificial intelligence has become an increasingly prominent topic at IBLAC. Last year, eight Shanghai AI companies showcased robots and other technologies at an off-site event. This year's session will take participants to Fuxing Island to experience AI applications in services and other real-world settings.

AI is also a key theme in annual reports submitted by member companies on Shanghai's development. ABB recommended developing AI-powered energy systems, Novartis proposed combining family doctors with AI to manage hyperlipidemia in communities, and Royal Vopak suggested building a resilient, green marine fuel bunkering and supply system.

Zhu Jie, a partner and senior vice-president of Shanghai-based embodied AI company AgiBot, said international companies are increasingly focused on how embodied AI can improve productivity. AgiBot and IBLAC member companies have explored cooperation in industrial handling, logistics sorting, and service retail.

Shanghai solutions

At last year's meeting, Mark J. Greeven, a professor at the International Institute for Management Development, called on Shanghai to focus on system-shaping innovation. He said the key was turning scattered innovations into scalable products and industrial capabilities aligned with clear application goals.

Such an approach could offer lessons for innovation hubs worldwide, according to Greeven. IBLAC has evolved from a platform for Shanghai to learn from international peers into one for mutual exchange and the development of solutions with broader relevance. It also helps multinational companies better understand Shanghai and identify investment opportunities.

Boehringer Ingelheim Greater China plans to establish a new R&D center in Zhangjiang to strengthen early clinical development and external innovation collaboration. Vale China also hopes to connect China with Brazil and the wider Latin American region, supporting Shanghai's role in AI governance, the green energy transition, and digital infrastructure.

Best Adjustable Mattress (2026): Sleep Number Named a Top Choice for Personalized Adjustable Comfort by Better Business Advice

Best Adjustable Mattress (2026): Sleep Number Named a Top Choice for Personalized Adjustable Comfort by Better Business Advice

NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Better Business Advice has recognized Sleep Number as a top choice for personalized adjustable comfort in its 2026 guide to the best adjustable mattresses. Every Sleep Number mattress allows sleepers to make the bed firmer or softer as their comfort needs change.

Best Adjustable Mattress

- Sleep Number - known for adjustable mattresses that let sleepers choose how firm or soft the bed feels, with options for added cushioning, cooling, temperature control, and smart features.

A mattress may feel comfortable during a short showroom visit but different after several nights at home. Sleeping position, physical activity, soreness, room temperature, and personal preferences can all affect how a bed feels over time.

Sleep Number mattresses address this challenge with adjustable air chambers. Sleepers can add air for a firmer feel or release air for a softer feel instead of remaining limited to the firmness selected at the time of purchase.

The current Sleep Number range includes seven mattresses in the ComfortMode, ComfortNext, and Climate collections. Adjustable firmness is included across the entire range. Differences in cushioning, pressure relief, cooling, temperature control, mattress height, and connected features help consumers choose the model that fits their needs.

Personalized Firmness Levels

Every Sleep Number mattress allows sleepers to adjust how firm or soft the bed feels. The firmness can be changed without adding a mattress topper, rearranging foam layers, or replacing the mattress.

This flexibility may be helpful because comfort preferences do not always stay the same. A setting that feels comfortable for back sleeping may not provide the same comfort after switching to side sleeping. Exercise, temporary soreness, pregnancy, injury, and weight changes may also affect how much cushioning or support feels right.

Sleep Number recommends making small adjustments and sleeping at a new setting for several nights before changing it again. This gives the body time to settle into the new firmness level.

Compatible mattresses also offer Responsive Air technology. The feature notices changes caused by movement, sleeping position, and temperature, then makes small adjustments to help maintain the selected firmness during the night. Sleepers can still make their own changes whenever they want the bed to feel noticeably firmer or softer.

The method used to control the mattress depends on the collection. ComfortMode mattresses use a compatible remote and do not require Wi-Fi or an app. Compatible ComfortNext and Climate mattresses can be controlled through the Sleep Number app. Remote availability depends on the selected mattress and setup.

Each Person Can Adjust Their Side of the Bed

Couples often prefer different levels of firmness. One person may want a softer surface, while the other may feel more comfortable with firmer support.

Queen-size and larger Sleep Number mattresses can give each person a separate firmness setting. Each sleeper can adjust their side of the bed without changing how the other side feels.

This can be useful when sleeping positions or comfort preferences differ. A side sleeper may prefer more cushioning around the shoulders and hips. A back or stomach sleeper may want a firmer surface. With separate settings, neither person has to settle for one firmness level across the entire mattress.

The separate air chambers may also reduce how much movement is felt across the bed when one person turns over or gets up. The amount of movement felt will still depend on the sleeper, mattress, and base, so the feature does not guarantee complete motion isolation.

Separate settings can remain useful even when both sleepers initially choose similar firmness levels. Temporary soreness, a change in physical activity, or a new sleeping position may cause one person to want a different feel later. Each side can be adjusted whenever those needs change.

Seven Mattresses Across Three Collections

The current Sleep Number portfolio includes seven models divided among the ComfortMode, ComfortNext, and Climate collections. Every model offers adjustable firmness, but the amount of cushioning, cooling, pressure relief, and temperature control varies.

ComfortMode includes 10-inch and 11-inch mattresses. Both combine adjustable firmness with supportive foam and built-in cooling materials. They use remote controls, making them suitable for consumers who want a more straightforward way to adjust the mattress without depending on an app.

ComfortNext includes 12-inch, 13-inch, and 14-inch mattresses. As the mattresses become taller, they provide more cushioning, pressure relief, cooling material, and airflow. Select ComfortNext models combine adjustable air support with foam and small coils to create a more cushioned, traditional mattress feel.

The Climate collection focuses on temperature control. ClimateCool can actively cool each side of the bed while also providing adjustable firmness and Responsive Air technology.

Climate360 can both cool and warm each side separately. This may be especially helpful for couples when one person tends to sleep hot and the other prefers a warmer bed.

Choosing an Adjustable Mattress for Long-Term Use

Choosing a Sleep Number mattress involves more than selecting a firmness level. Since every model offers adjustable firmness, consumers can compare the mattresses based on cushioning, pressure relief, cooling, temperature control, mattress height, and preferred controls.

ComfortMode mattresses may suit sleepers who want adjustable firmness with a simpler setup and a more direct, supportive feel. ComfortNext models provide deeper cushioning and more pressure relief, which may appeal to side sleepers or anyone who prefers a taller mattress.

Mattress height ranges from 10 to 14 inches across the collection. This can affect the overall height of the bed and the type of fitted sheets needed.

Temperature preferences are another consideration. Built-in cooling materials may be enough for sleepers who only become warm occasionally. ClimateCool provides active cooling for those who regularly sleep hot. Climate360 offers the widest range of temperature choices by allowing each side to be cooled or warmed separately.

The mattress also needs a firm, flat surface that can evenly support the adjustable air chambers. A traditional box spring does not provide the required support. Suitable options include a compatible Sleep Number base, an appropriate platform bed, or bed slats placed no more than two inches apart.

An adjustable mattress and an adjustable base perform different functions. The mattress changes how firm or soft the sleeping surface feels. An adjustable base changes the position of the bed by raising areas such as the head or feet. The two can be used together, but an adjustable base is not required to change the mattress firmness.

Sleep Number received recognition from Better Business Advice because adjustable firmness is available throughout the mattress range rather than being limited to one model. The right choice will depend on the amount of cushioning, pressure relief, temperature control, mattress height, and connected features each sleeper wants.

India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA) champions lived experience as central to shaping mental healthcare practice, service design and policy

NEW DELHI, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On the occasion of World Mental Health Day (10th October), the India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA), a cross-sectoral network of 400 organisations from 30 Indian states, reaffirms its commitment to recognising lived experience as expertise, ensuring that the voices of people and vulnerable communities who have experienced mental health challenges; are central to how care is designed and delivered.

IMHA was founded with the belief that mental health is a shared developmental priority for the nation, and building a strong system of care requires collective responsibility. Over the past two years, IMHA has engaged with 3,380 mental health professionals across 135+ cities, and mobilised its member organisations to build collective capacity, enable knowledge-sharing, and embed lived experience expertise in care design and practice.

"These lived experiences offer an important source of knowledge about what mental healthcare looks like in practice i.e. how people experience services, navigate systems and seek support within their social and cultural contexts across India. IMHA believes that bringing clinical expertise together with lived and practice-based knowledge, is essential to building a mental health ecosystem that is more equitable, contextual and responsive to people's diverse needs," said Dr. Kavita Arora, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Founding Cohort Member of IMHA.

Towards this commitment IMHA is building a co-curated and collaborative Knowledge Hub to make knowledge accessible from diverse sources and modalities, for eg-practitioner insights, field lessons, clinical and lived experience expertise and academic research grounded in local contexts.

As part of its broader work to amplify and mainstream lived experience as expertise, IMHA proudly presents India's first anthology of lived-experience narratives by 11 women leaders from across sectors, 'Homecoming: Mental Health Journeys of Resilience, Healing & Wholeness'. This evocative book brings together first-person accounts of women in urban India navigating severe mental health conditions, including depression, complex PTSD, suicide loss, intergenerational trauma, anxiety and OCD. In sharing their journeys, they invite us to reflect on how families, communities, workplaces and healthcare professionals understand and respond to mental health conditions. Prifemilast Demonstrates Superior Efficacy vs. Apremilast in Newsoara's Head-to-Head Phase 3 Psoriasis Trial; cAMPfield Advancing the Potential Best-in-Class Oral PDE4 Inhibitor in IBD
Image File
Original HTML

- In a head-to-head Phase 3 trial, prifemilast nearly doubled the rate of PASI 75 response compared with apremilast and achieved superiority on both co-primary endpoints

- Results support the potential of prifemilast to deliver greater efficacy than apremilast, with low rates of serious adverse events and discontinuations similar to apremilast

- In a second, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial, prifemilast demonstrated superior efficacy to placebo with responses maintained through 52 weeks

- With more than 1,000 participants dosed, prifemilast has an extensive clinical safety database, including more than 250 participants treated for 52 weeks

- These positive results reinforce the potential of prifemilast to treat immune-mediated inflammatory diseases beyond psoriasis; cAMPfield is advancing prifemilast into global Phase 2 trials in ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- cAMPfield Therapeutics, Inc. (cAMPfield), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing well-tolerated and highly effective oral medicines for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, today highlighted data from a head-to-head Phase 3 trial in which prifemilast, its once-daily, preferential PDE4B inhibitor, demonstrated superior efficacy versus apremilast in adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Results from the head-to-head trial, a second Phase 3 trial, and a Phase 2 dose-ranging trial, all sponsored and conducted in China by cAMPfield's partner, Newsoara Biopharma Co., Ltd. (Newsoara), were presented in two posters at the 2026 Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference in Las Vegas.

In the head-to-head Phase 3 trial, prifemilast 20 mg once daily achieved superiority over apremilast 30 mg twice daily on both co-primary endpoints at Week 16. It nearly doubled the proportion of patients achieving at least a 75% improvement in Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI 75) (64.6% vs. 35.3%) and the proportion of patients achieving clear or almost clear skin (sPGA 0/1, 55.6% vs. 31.3%; both P0.0001). Rates of serious adverse events (4.0% vs. 2.5%) and discontinuations due to adverse events (2.0% vs. 1.5%) were low and similar between treatment arms.1 In a second, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial, responses were seen as early as Week 2 and maintained through 52 weeks.2 Discontinuations due to adverse events during the 16-week treatment period were similar with prifemilast and placebo (1.7%–1.8% vs. 1.8%).2

"Outperforming apremilast head-to-head is a high bar, and prifemilast cleared it decisively on both co-primary endpoints, demonstrating its potential to be a best-in-class PDE4 inhibitor," said Bill Gerhart, Chief Executive Officer at cAMPfield. "We are grateful to Newsoara and to the investigators and patients who made these trials possible, and we look forward to building on these results for patients living with IBD."

Plaque psoriasis (PsO) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are immune-mediated inflammatory diseases that share overlapping inflammatory pathways, cytokine networks, and genetic risk factors.3 PDE4 inhibition has also shown activity in ulcerative colitis. In a Phase 2 trial in patients with ulcerative colitis, apremilast did not meet its primary endpoint at 40 mg twice daily, but at 30 mg twice daily (the dose used as the comparator in the PsO head-to-head trial), 31.6% of patients achieved clinical remission at Week 12 versus 12.1% on placebo.4 These results, together with clinical experience spanning more than 1,000 trial participants in the United States and China, including more than 250 participants treated for 52 weeks,5 support cAMPfield's advancement of prifemilast into global Phase 2 trials in ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

"For more than a decade, the promise of PDE4 inhibition in IBD has been held back by the limitations of earlier-generation molecules," said Graham Heap, MD, PhD, President, R&D at cAMPfield. "The data presented at the conference suggest that prifemilast has the potential to be a highly effective PDE4 inhibitor, delivering meaningfully greater efficacy than the standard of the class with once-daily dosing. These results give us even greater confidence as we advance prifemilast into global Phase 2 trials in ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease."

About the Prifemilast Psoriasis Clinical Trials

The prifemilast psoriasis program includes three randomized, double-blind, multicenter trials sponsored and conducted in China by Newsoara to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of prifemilast in adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.

The head-to-head Phase 3 trial (NCT07712731) randomized 607 participants 2:1 to prifemilast 20 mg once daily or apremilast 30 mg twice daily for 16 weeks; apremilast was titrated in line with its US prescribing information, while prifemilast required no titration.1,6 The co-primary endpoints were the proportion of patients achieving PASI 75 and sPGA 0/1 at Week 16.

The placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial (NCT07712705) randomized more than 500 participants to prifemilast 10 mg, prifemilast 20 mg, or placebo once daily for 16 weeks, followed by a 36-week extension in which all participants received prifemilast. The Phase 2 dose-ranging trial (NCT07707141) randomized 123 participants to prifemilast 6 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg or placebo once daily for 12 weeks and showed dose-dependent improvements, with 67.7% of patients on 20 mg (n=31) achieving clear or almost clear skin at Week 12 compared with 6.7% on placebo.2 The primary endpoint of both placebo-controlled trials was PASI 75 response.

Poster Presentations

Two posters were presented at the 26th Annual Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference, being held October 8–11, 2026, in Las Vegas, and are available on the cAMPfield website at https://campfieldtx.com. The abstracts and posters are expected to be published in the Dermatology Online Journal.

About Prifemilast

Prifemilast is an investigational, once-daily, preferential PDE4B inhibitor that has been studied in more than 1,000 participants in the United States and China to date, including more than 250 participants treated for 52 weeks.5 Prifemilast targets PDE4B, the isoform most closely associated with anti-inflammatory activity, while minimizing inhibition of PDE4D, an isoform associated with dose-limiting adverse effects. Its structure limits central nervous system penetration and slows absorption, and its extended half-life supports once-daily dosing.7 Prifemilast has demonstrated superior efficacy to apremilast in a head-to-head Phase 3 trial and positive results in a placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial in plaque psoriasis. Across these trials, its safety profile was consistent with the PDE4 inhibitor class, with rates of discontinuation due to adverse events comparable to placebo and similar to apremilast. Prifemilast is an investigational drug and has not been approved by any regulatory authority for any indication.

About Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory disease that affects more than 6.8 million people worldwide8 and remains an area of substantial unmet medical need. Despite significant advances in treatment, many patients fail to achieve durable remission or lose response over time, resulting in frequent treatment switching. While biologic therapies have transformed outcomes for many patients, there remains a need for additional effective, well-tolerated treatment options. Convenient oral therapies are an important part of the treatment landscape, yet currently approved oral agents for IBD are limited by tolerability, safety concerns and/or modest efficacy.9
