Recognition highlights YMX's leadership in sustainable yard operations through innovation, electrification, and optimization

HENDERSON, NV — May 26, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a leading national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, today announced it has been named a 2026 G75 Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics. The annual recognition honors 75 organizations that demonstrate leadership in advancing sustainable supply chain and logistics practices while delivering measurable value to customers.

The recognition follows a series of recent industry awards highlighting YMX's leadership in sustainable fleet operations and electrification. Earlier this month, YMX received the ACT Expo Fleet Award for Leadership in Electric Yard Operations and was also named a 2026 Top Green Fleet by Heavy Duty Trucking magazine.

Through its autonomous Yard Operating System (YOS), YMX integrates electrification into its teams’ day-to-day activities, aligning yard workflows, charging infrastructure, and energy management strategies to maximize the performance of electric yard trucks at customer sites. By treating EV adoption as part of a system rather than a standalone initiative, YMX helps customers improve utilization, reduce energy costs, and accelerate progress toward sustainability targets.

"Sustainability is often discussed as an environmental initiative, but for many supply chain leaders it has become a business resilience strategy," said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. "Rising fuel costs, market volatility, and increasing pressure to improve efficiency are forcing organizations to rethink how they operate. At YMX, we believe the most sustainable operations are also the most efficient. By reducing waste, improving asset utilization, optimizing yard flow, and expanding electrification through our Yard Operating System, we help customers build operations that are more resilient, predictable, and environmentally responsible."

"Our customers are no longer asking whether sustainability matters. They are asking how to achieve it without compromising performance," said Erin Mitchell, COO of YMX Logistics. "The answer is not found in any single technology or equipment investment. It comes from creating a disciplined operating model that improves visibility, eliminates inefficiencies, and aligns operational execution with long-term business objectives. This recognition reflects the work our teams do every day to help enterprise shippers create measurable environmental and operational improvements across their networks."

The annual G75 Green Supply Chain Partner list serves as a trusted resource for shippers seeking logistics providers that demonstrate measurable environmental stewardship and a commitment to sustainable supply chain practices. For more information, please visit inboundlogistics.com

Matt Yearling and Adam Buttgenbach Recognized for Advancing Fleet Electrification and Autonomy for Over-the-Road and Yard Operations

HENDERSON, Nev. — July 23, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a leading national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, announced today that two of its executives, CEO Matt Yearling and Vice President of Fleet Strategy and Loss Prevention Adam Buttgenbach, have been named finalists for Heavy Duty Trucking’s 2026 Truck Fleet Innovator award.

The award honors supply chain professionals who are challenging conventional thinking and driving meaningful change across the trucking and logistics industries. Yearling and Buttgenbach join seven other finalists representing a range of fleet sizes, business models and industry roles.

Yearling was recognized for his work advancing yard operations for enterprise shippers by integrating data, artificial intelligence, electric yard trucks and specialized logistics services while helping prepare the industry for increasingly autonomous operations. Buttgenbach was selected as a finalist before joining YMX, based on his work advancing fleet electrification and the adoption of emerging technologies for one of North America’s largest private fleets.

“I am honored to be recognized alongside leaders who are challenging the status quo and helping move the trucking and logistics industries forward,” said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. “At YMX, we believe the next generation of enterprise yard operations is being shaped by the convergence of technology and operations. This recognition also reflects the work of our entire team to make yard operations safer, more efficient, and sustainable for our customers.”

“Fleet innovation starts with understanding the operation and identifying where technology can deliver real, measurable value,” said Adam Buttgenbach, Vice President of Fleet Strategy and Loss Prevention at YMX Logistics. “Electrification, automation, and other emerging technologies have tremendous potential, but successful adoption requires the right equipment, infrastructure, and a closed-loop process for measuring results and continuously improving performance. I am honored to receive this recognition and excited to bring that experience to YMX as we help customers improve performance, strengthen safety, and eliminate waste.”

The winners of the 2026 Truck Fleet Innovator award will be recognized during the Heavy Duty Trucking Exchange, taking place September 23–25 in Scottsdale, Arizona. They will participate in a panel discussion about innovation in trucking and be featured in the August issue of Heavy Duty Trucking magazine.

YMX recognized by FreightWaves for leadership in deploying AI in yard operations nationwide

HENDERSON, NV — July 28, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a leading national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, announces that the company has received the 2026 AI Excellence in Supply Chain Award from FreightWaves. The award recognizes companies that are delivering real business outcomes using artificial intelligence across supply chain, transportation, and logistics operations.

YMX Logistics was honored in the Operational AI Integration category for delivering meaningful results with its Autonomous Yard Operating System (YOS). As part of the Autonomous YOS, YMX developed a digital twin decision engine powered by artificial intelligence and predictive analytics that enables YMX teams to analyze, test, and continuously optimize yard operations. The model evaluates layout configurations, fleet sizing, labor planning, traffic flow, and electrification strategies, allowing YMX and its customers to accurately quantify operational and financial impacts.

“As a national yard logistics provider serving some of the country’s largest shippers, our teams operate around the clock in highly complex environments,” said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. “On behalf of our team and customers, we would like to thank the FreightWaves team for this recognition. This award reinforces our belief that the future of yard operations lies in bringing technology and operations together to improve performance, safety, and sustainability while enabling continuous optimization and long-term value creation for enterprise shippers.”

“There is still limited understanding of what artificial intelligence is and what it can do in a complex operating environment,” said Jeff Hiller, vice president of product at YMX Logistics. “At YMX, autonomy means much more than deploying autonomous trucks. We have built a decision engine that combines a digital twin, machine learning, predictive analytics, computer vision and real-time operational data to assess conditions, anticipate constraints, recommend actions and continuously improve YMX's field execution. Customers continue to tell us they have not seen another approach that integrates technology and operations in this way. This recognition reinforces the distinctiveness of our offerings and, more importantly, the measurable value it is creating.”

YMX was recognized alongside 4 other organizations that are similarly making a difference in the logistics industry with artificial intelligence. View the full list of winners at freightwaves.com.

YMX's Adam Buttgenbach Honored as Fleet Innovator Amid Growing Focus on Optimized and Autonomous Yard Operations

Industry recognition reflects the expanding need for EV fleets, tech-enabled operations, and autonomy across the transportation, warehousing and yard ecosystem

HENDERSON, Nev. — August 17, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a leading national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, announced today that Vice President of Fleet Strategy and Loss Prevention Adam Buttgenbach has been recognized as a 2026 Truck Fleet Innovator by Heavy Duty Trucking.

Prior to joining YMX Logistics, Buttgenbach served as Global Procurement Director, Fleet Transformation at PepsiCo, where he led enterprise fleet transformation initiatives across one of the world's largest commercial fleets.

Buttgenbach was honored for his leadership in making emerging technology work in the real world across a wide range of fleet applications, from EV yard tractors to autonomous over-the-road Class 8 vehicles. The recognition comes as leading supply chain organizations look beyond the promise of individual technologies and focus instead on how transportation, warehousing and yard operations can work together as part of a connected logistics ecosystem.

"Our team is incredibly proud to see Adam recognized as a Truck Fleet Innovator," said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. "His recognition reflects a fundamental shift taking place across the industry. Companies are ready to move beyond pilots and start creating measurable operational value at scale. Adam's vision and experience are delivering significant impact to our customers and helping YMX bridge the gap between fleet strategy, emerging technologies, and real-world execution.”

Throughout his career, Buttgenbach has led large-scale fleet and equipment organizations with responsibility for more than 110,000 assets globally and billion-dollar capital investment portfolios. His work includes helping deploy electric vehicles at scale, collaborating with manufacturers on development programs, and evaluating the broader ecosystem required for successful adoption, including charging infrastructure, maintenance requirements, supplier support, and long-term operating costs.

"I ask a simple question when navigating the logistics technology landscape: ‘Where does this technology actually fit?’,” explained Buttgenbach. "The best use cases are the ones that improve safety, efficiency, sustainability, or maximize service performance for customers. Whether you're evaluating electrification, automation, artificial intelligence, or other emerging technologies, the starting point should always be understanding your operation and identifying the outcomes you’re building for."

"This award also reflects the growing recognition that innovation doesn't stop at the entry gate or start at the warehouse door," added Yearling. "The future of supply chain performance depends on connecting transportation, warehousing, and yard operations into a more intelligent, orchestrated system. As these worlds continue to converge, the yard is becoming one of the most important opportunities for operational transformation."

HENDERSON, Nev. — September 15, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a premiere national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, announced today the addition of Michael Lucas as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Michael will lead operational strategy and execution across YMX's coast-to-coast network while helping customers navigate the next era of supply chain transformation.

Michael has a distinguished early career in supply chain and operations, including leadership roles at SC Johnson, The Kraft Heinz Company, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) and Uline. He developed expertise in distribution, warehousing, fleet operations, customer service and process improvement by leading large-scale transformations at some of North America's most recognizable brands.

"The logistics industry is entering a period of significant transformation, and the companies that win will be the ones that can integrate day-to-day operations with the right technologies to deliver reliable business outcomes," said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. "Michael has spent his career leading complex supply chain organizations through similar operational transformations. His experience and perspective will be invaluable as YMX scales and creates even greater value for our customers."

Michael joins YMX at a time when the yard is becoming one of the most strategically important operational environments in the supply chain. As COO, he will help customers unlock greater efficiency, visibility, and operational resilience while supporting YMX's continued category leadership in integrated yard logistics.

"Some of the biggest opportunities to improve supply chain performance exist in the space between transportation and warehousing,” explained Michael Lucas, COO at YMX Logistics. "That's why I believe the yard will play an increasingly strategic role in the future of supply chain execution. I'm excited to join YMX at this inflection point and focus on helping our customers unlock safer, more efficient, and more resilient operations."

YMX Named to FreightWaves' FreightTech 100 for Innovation in Yard Logistics

YMX Logistics recognized for a differentiated AI-native approach to yard logistics powered by its Autonomous Yard Operating System (“YMX OS”)

HENDERSON, Nev. — September 29, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a leading national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, announced today it has been named to the FreightWaves' 2027 FreightTech 100, an annual list recognizing the most innovative and influential supply chain companies.

YMX joins the FreightTech 100 as the industry sharpens its focus on the yard. The Yard, Dock & Warehouse category grew from just one honoree in 2020 to seven in 2027, making it one of the fastest-growing segments. Five of the seven are first-time honorees this year, signaling a growing market need for yard management, dock scheduling, gate automation, and safety solutions.

“Enterprise shippers realize that yards are an area of opportunity within their logistics network,” said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. “Technology can improve visibility, but it takes the right mix of people, equipment and operational expertise to turn that visibility into better outcomes. That's why we built our Autonomous Yard Operating System.”

As innovation in the yard accelerates, the challenge is no longer a lack of technology. It is bringing those technologies together in a way that consistently improves service, controls operating costs, and creates safer working environments.

“Value is created at the convergence of operations and technology, beyond what yard services and solutions are capable of today,” added Yearling. “When our AI capabilities are blended with best-in-class service and safety, our customers experience value beyond optimized yard operations, including positive outcomes in transportation and warehousing.”

Unlike point solutions that address a single yard function, YMX OS combines yard management, computer vision-powered data capture, digital twin capabilities and a standardized operating model to drive automation and continuous improvement across enterprise networks. With 13 AI-native touchpoints from gate to dock, YMX OS combines operational expertise with digital intelligence to help shippers optimize yard performance, labor, equipment, safety, and sustainability.

This recognition of YMX Logistics and its YMX OS underscores a broader industry shift toward connected, technology-enabled yard operations that improve execution between transportation and warehousing.

YMX Logistics and Outrider Establish Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Autonomous Yard Operations

Five-year commercial agreement simplifies enterprise adoption and scaling of Outrider self-driving yard trucks for YMX customers

HENDERSON, Nev., and HENDERSON, Colo. — October 1, 2026 — YMX Logistics, a leading national provider of integrated yard logistics for enterprise shippers, and Outrider, the leader in autonomous yard vehicles for logistics hubs, today announced a strategic partnership to expand the deployment of self-driving, zero-emission yard trucks at YMX customer sites. Under the five-year commercial agreement, YMX will operate and support the Outrider System in large enterprise customers' yards to deliver safer, more productive supply chain operations.

The agreement represents Outrider's most comprehensive channel relationship to date and establishes YMX as a full-service option for enterprise shippers to adopt and scale autonomous yard operations. The non-exclusive partnership combines Outrider's self-driving technology with YMX's comprehensive service offerings, giving customers a turnkey path to automating trailer spotting with less deployment complexity and lower capital requirements.

"Outrider's self-driving yard trucks are a strategic addition to our Autonomous Yard Operating System, expanding how we use technology to execute yard operations and create value for our customers," said Matt Yearling, CEO of YMX Logistics. "We selected Outrider because of its industry-leading approach to system safety, use of advanced AI capabilities across diverse yard environments, and operational maturity."

YMX's Autonomous Yard Operating System (YMX OS) combines yard management technology, fleet operations, performance management, and data insights to improve throughput, service levels, and consistency across complex distribution networks. Outrider extends YMX OS with self-driving yard trucks that automate trailer and container movements. Initial deployments will target customers in food and beverage, retail, consumer packaged goods, and automotive starting this year.

Outrider has developed a purpose-built physical AI system for logistics yards that automates key aspects of the trailer spotting workflow. Its self-driving yard trucks navigate mixed-traffic yards, locate and move trailers, hitch and unhitch, precisely position trailers at dock doors and parking spots, and use a robotic system to connect and disconnect trailer brake lines. The technology also provides real-time trailer inventory tracking with no additional infrastructure, monitors EV charge status, and integrates with existing yard, warehouse, and transportation management systems.

This agreement extends the leadership of both companies in the electrification space. YMX offers capacity-based pricing rather than hourly rates, so customers can maximize the use of EV yard technology in their distribution and manufacturing hubs. Outrider designed its autonomous system from the outset for electric yard truck platforms, giving customers a simple path to achieve the benefits of both automation and electrification. This combined offering is increasingly valuable as diesel costs rise, with U.S. on-highway diesel averaging $6.38 per gallon the week of Sept. 28, 2026.

Under the agreement, YMX will lead customer implementations, finance and operate the self-driving fleets, and provide on-site support. Outrider will support deployments and provide ongoing remote monitoring and technical support. The companies will jointly support site planning, deployment execution, and operating processes to continuously improve throughput, safety, and sustainability while simplifying the operational and change management required to advance yard automation.

"Large shippers are focused on running complex operations and often lack the time and resources to evaluate, deploy, and support new technologies themselves. At the same time, supply chain executives and site personnel are eager for safer, more productive yards," said Andrew Smith, CEO of Outrider. "YMX has built an exceptional business around delivering turnkey, integrated technology and operating services to enterprise customers. The YMX and Outrider partnership gives enterprise shippers a simple path to deploy and scale physical AI across their yard operations."

System safety was a key factor in YMX's selection of Outrider. Outrider developed the industry's first safety system purpose-built for scalable driverless operations in mixed-traffic logistics yards, where self-driving yard trucks maneuver semi-trailers alongside personnel and manually driven vehicles. TÜV SÜD, a globally recognized independent testing and certification organization, determined that Outrider's functional safety approach aligns with its Autonomous Vehicle Conformity Framework requirements.
